it be? There's a lot of conversation like would that
be Sga? Would that would that be Anthony Edwards? Would
that be Luca? Would that be Wimby? Who would that be?
Mason Miller? Is box office? The A's gave up on
Mason Miller because they didn't need a big time closer
that they're nowhere near contention, but they got Leo debrees.

we look at that trade, because at the time the
critics were at the time that it was all excitement

possibly competing for a World Series, and this could be
the piece that puts you over the top. Having an
all star closer already to a stack bullpen that we've
been talking about all year the year before. But now,
like I wonder what grade would give it, I feel
like we give it an incomplete And I know that
may surprise some people because Mason Miller has been unbelievable

and this isn't about Mason Miller's play, but a great
bullpen only matters if your big time hitters can get
you to a point where the bullpen means something. I
heard John say this the other day on the show.
It's like, you have the best bullpen in the world.
They never have a lead.

Like it's like it's like having a a like the
a great defense in the NFL.

what great would you give the trade? Because I'm not

if you're the A's, like when you made that deal,

I don't blame Preller for making the move because Preller
thought that he had a team that could go on

Miller's fault why they didn't go in the World Series run.

possibly that they're interested in, hearing reports about Josh Hater

potentially bringing him back, which is great, Like I hear
that the about the bullpen, that's fantastic, But at the
same time, I'm like, are the Potters really gonna be
sending prospects, which, by the way, they have a barren
prospect system. Ethan Salas great seeing him on a big

Lebron can't talk about the lack of talent the Lakers have,

cut because he still plays at an elite level.

play like it, if he can play at that level,

would take for you to get back on.

Lebron James, the Lakers have been walking this fine line
of you want to rest Lebron and give him rest,

can't outfit the roster to where you need it to be.
If the Lakers bench was not even on par, not
even on par with the Oklahoma State Thunder, and if
you want to compete in a Western Conference with them
and with San Antonio, those two teams have deep benches.

the Spurs are Devin vi Cell and Keldon Johnson, and

they're really talented players, but because Dylan Harper's there in
Wemby and Daron Fox and Stefan Castle, they're not even
getting mentioned unless you're on a Spurs post game show.
So the Lakers, and then you have the whole Giannis piece,
are they gonna go star hunting? Because the typical Laker
way would be to go star hunting. The Lakers always
are trade all the picks, FM picks like less than

with the Rams. Screw the picks, screw any young talent
on the team, and trade them for a superstar. And look,
if the Lakers get Yanni's I'll be coming on here celebrating.
I'm not gonna I'm not gonna pretend like I wouldn't.
But is that in the best eaters of the team,
Because the Lakers finally have financial flexibility and they have
cap space, and they have draft picks, and they haven't

had that since before Anthony Davis, because when they traded
Lonzo Ball and Kyle Kuzma and Josh Hart and in
brandon Ingram like, that was the last time the Lakers
actually had flexibility with picks in cap space. They traded
all for Anthony Davis. You could debate if that was
a good deal. They got a championship out of it,
but you could also argue that it set the team
back for a lot of years, especially after the Russell

where Yannis goes. Are the Lakers gonna go star hunting?
Are they getting back in the Lebron business. Is there

get your thoughts if Jalen Bronson, if they win a championship,
is he the greatest Nick ever?

In your eyes?

Greatest is one of those words. It depends what we're
asking here. Do I think that Jalen Brunson is going
to go to the Hall of Fame based on his
career today? Maybe not so. I think he becomes easily
in the conversation for the most beloved greatest, though that's

just one of those words. Sammy, It's just tough. It's
tough to know what people mean by that. You know,
are we talking about somebody who's going to score as
many points as Patrick Ewing, especially with the level of
expectation that Patrick Ewing had when he was drafted number
one out of Georgetown. Are we going to go back
to players like Walt Frazier, who's on the last championship
side back in nineteen seventy three. He's a legend for

the next not only for what he does and his
outfits and his broadcasting, but also for his Game seven
performance back in nineteen ninety three, which, truly, if I
want to look this up, one of the great Game
seven performances of all time, thirty six points and nineteen assists.
So listen. I think it's it's sort of it's a
fun conversation because it's happening right now. But I also

think we're not sure what Jalen Brunson the rest of
his career is going to look like. So you know,
I don't think it ends no matter when it is
that the knixt year and the ends this season. So
I think it's a little premature for me to have
that conversation.

Yeah, certainly will heat up if they win it, But
I like you with the most beloved nick ever. But
looking at SDFC taking on Vancouver tomorrow at six point thirty,
of course here Adrian and Darren on the call with that,
when you look at this team, the team that knocked
him out last year, how do you see SDFC heading
into this matchup? Because you know, last time I had
you on the offense was kind of slumping. There wasn't
(25:26):
much there. Put up five goals against Austin, put up
three goals against Cincinnati. What have you seen to at
least change the perception of the offense of this team
in the last couple weeks.
Speaker 3 (25:36):
Well, they just look like themselves. I think you know
that they're playing the way that they want to play,
at least in terms of we know that they're always
going to have possession. They're leading the league in time
of possession, so you know, it's just who they are.
They're going to pass the ball more than anybody else,
more than their opponents every single match. But keeping it
(25:56):
and not making mistakes that lead to I think has
gotten better. It's not where it was last year, and
it's not where it needs to be by the end
of the regular season, but it's been better over the
last handful of matches and this one would be a
good one to have to get a result in hopefully
(26:16):
three points against Vancouver, but playing better against FC Cincinnati
side that was second in supporter shield standing last year,
playing better against the Seattle team that hadn't lost at
home in over a year, the frustration of what it
was that happened against LAFC. They're starting to look like themselves.
I still think that they have some things that they
(26:38):
have to work on, still dealing with some of the
injuries you know that have just dominoed from one match
to the next. So I think a sixty day break
is probably going to be a pretty good thing for
them overall, hopefully ending up on a high note. But
you know, it's the thing that holds them back. I mean,
their goal scoring is pretty much right there with Vancouver
(26:59):
when you look at how many goals scored thirty for Vancouver,
twenty eight for SDFC. But it's the goal prevention that's
really let SDFC down. They've allowed thirteen more goals than Vancouver.
That's a lot. Vancouver is now the best team in
the league. They're the stingiest. They've only allowed ted, but
still some work to do, whether it's some of that
late match chaos or whether it's the set pieces in
the corner kicks. You know, they still have some things
(27:21):
that they have to work on to be a better team,
you know, to be this kind of team that we
saw from last year.
Speaker 2 (27:26):
You mentioned the late match chaos. What what would in
your opinion that be why the You know, SDFC hasn't
always been able to hold leads and they're up to
zero on LAFC and it felt like that was kind
of becoming a recurring theme.
Speaker 1 (27:38):
Is just the lack of talent back there? What would
you put it at?
Speaker 3 (27:43):
I would say, you know, it is a little bit
of lack of depth for sure. You know, this is
the second year team and SDFC doesn't have what a
lot of these other teams have, Sammy, they don't have
an academy, they don't have a second team where you know,
if you're running short on bodies on a busy week
where you're playing three times in eight days, you can
pull a couple players up from your academy who can
(28:06):
maybe manage ten fifteen minutes here or there. Right, they
don't have that. You know, They've got teenagers that they
have to cycle through off the bench. So I think
some of it is depths just because of the nature
of the club and where they are, and just being
the second season that they haven't yet built in academy
that they can pull players from. I also think it's
a bit of fatigue. I think late goals allowed probably
(28:28):
suggests to you, especially given everything that's happened. I mean,
we've really packed the season here into a couple of months,
haven't we, with conkor CAP Champions Cup and the ups
and down, etc. The red carts, the suspensions. I think
also it would be fair you'll never hear this from them.
I mean, you'll never hear this from their coach, but
I would say I think a little bit of mental
(28:49):
and physical fatigue has probably contributed to some of those
late minute goals that we've seen. So, you know, I
think it's just a combination of a couple of different things.
And you know, again like like this team, it spoiled
us in ways last year that we're really really unexpected,
and you know, now where I think starting to see
(29:11):
maybe a little bit more of what first year, second
team second year teams have to deal with.
Speaker 2 (29:18):
You mentioned the injuries, so maybe that's the answer that
it's good to have the break right now. But if
they have been playing I guess not the best, but
better the last couple of weeks than they had certainly
a month or two ago, do you think the World
Cup break comes at a good time or if you're
like SDFC, outside of just injuries, do you wish like
either're starting to put it together and now, of course
they're off for for a month, right.
Speaker 3 (29:40):
Yeah, I mean you, you know, pick up three points
again to Vancouver and we'll be walking out of the
building going, man, this break comes time, doesn't So now
I do? I honestly think that they didn't really have
any offseason. You know, they didn't. They were one of
the last team standing in Major League Soccer lost to
(30:01):
Vancouver in the Western Conference Final. They were literally the
first MLS team to play a competitive match because they
open up Conker Cap Champions Cup against Pulmas. They were
the first team in action playing a competitive match. Barely
had any offseason, barely had any camp, so learning all
(30:21):
this stuff on the fly, Sammy as you could imagine,
don't need to be an expert, just apply this Sanny sport.
There's a reason why football teams right. Gridiron football teams
have weeks and weeks and weeks of camp. Baseball spent
six seven weeks in spring training. STFC didn't really have
any of that. So, regardless of what happens, even if
you win five, no tomorrow like, oh this is great,
we're playing better. Let's keep going. Who's up next? Regardless

of what happens, I do think it is overall, the
overarching opinion would be good time push the reset button,
address what it is that you need to address. Remember
the transfer window will open too by the time SDFC
plays its next game after this one tomorrow, So who
even knows. There might be some players who will be
on their way out, there might be some players who

are on their way in. There'll be lots of speculation.
I can be sure of that, especially coming off a
World Cup cycle. But I think to get a proper
camp in, which is part of their plan, is a
good idea and it will be beneficial to the club
in the long run.

We look at that Dodger series against the Podres, And
we've heard some takes this week. Some people are like,
you know, they kept it competitive, they won game one,
Game two could have gone either way. Some people were
kind of negative on the outlook, especially how they finished Wednesday.
Where were you at with that series, like with the Podres,
take your biggest takeaway from it?
Speaker 3 (31:41):
Yeah, I mean I'm one of those that would say
those two games were really good. I mean they were
really competitives, decided by one run each coin flip either way,
abs decisions, right, I think I said on Friar Terror,
sorry the margins were razor thin. That that's fair, that's objective.
I don't care who you're rooting for, Like, that's the

reality of it. Third game, it felt like the Dodgers
sort of said, okay, you know, we were gonna our
stars are going to show up. We have Shoho Tani.
Not only is he going to pitch, he's you know,
the Homer on the first pitch of the game, and
Freddie Freeman's gonna jackup doubles and here's Mooki and okay,
you know, go back to your room.

It felt a.

Little bit like that, but you know, probably just you know,
just because it's the Dodgers, it just has that impact,
you know, I like, was it really that dramatic or
is that just because it's Padtery's Dodgers. Probably the latter,
But you know, it did feel that way, and I
think the Patrick players and the coach even sort of
felt that way afterwards. It's kind of how they sounded
(32:44):
to me in their postgame commentary. So, uh, it's just
a different matchup, you know, It's just a different sense.
Like you do use it as measuring sticks, you do
use it as trying to compare yourself to be where
where they have been over the last couple of years.
So I don't think it's a total mismatch. I don't
think it's varsity versus junior varsity, but pushed the shove.

I do think that the Dodgers are better, and I
think they showed you why.

There was a report that the Potteris are looking for
potential bullpen help a role as Chapman was thrown out there.
Josh Hater, are you surprised that they're looking at the
bullpen considering it's been so good or do you think

To kind of make up for the lack offense.
Speaker 3 (33:29):
Yeah, it's interesting. I would not have if you would
have said, what do you think the Potters are going
to be looking for? Like, what are they actively out
there scouting? I think I would have gone starting pitching,
hitting first, and second, bullpen third, you know, and then
bench pieces depths, you know, maybe somewhere in that mix

as well. And it's not just that they're looking for
bullpen arms. The names and the contracts, I mean Josh
Hater and a waldersh dat And I was like, hey,
what yeah, not cheap. So yeah, I mean not cheap
and big names and big game hunting again. So as
somebody who who's been with the Potteries for a long
time said to me, I will, let me see if

I can get the phrase right. I will, I will.
I'm gonna screw it up. But he said, I'll never
be shocked to be you know, it'll never shock me
to be surprised when it comes to age Proller, something
along those lines. You know, anything is always possible, and

Mason Miller? Is box office? The A's gave up on
Mason Miller because they didn't need a big time closer
that they're nowhere near contention, but they got Leo debrees.

We all expect it makes sense. They're trying to break
in the when they when they moved to Vegas? Is
that next year? Believe that's next year they moved to Vegas.
I'm pretty sure, pretty positive on that. Hit me on

They want some big time sluggers to get people to

will be uh, they will be going into Vegas. But
you wanted a big time slugger to kind of break

into your ballpark. Nick Kurtz looks like a next big
time player. Jake Wilson and the A's are hopefully presuming
that's Leo Devrees. So well a year later, how do
we look at that trade, because at the time the
critics were at the time that it was all excitement
about last season, because you looked at and went all right,
well though the Pattery's, we were on a direction to

possibly competing for a World Series, and this could be
the piece that puts you over the top. Having an
all star closer already to a stack bullpen that we've
been talking about all year the year before. But now,
like I wonder what grade would give it, I feel
like we give it an incomplete And I know that
may surprise some people because Mason Miller has been unbelievable

and this isn't about Mason Miller's play, but a great
bullpen only matters if your big time hitters can get
you to a point where the bullpen means something. I
heard John say this the other day on the show.
It's like, you have the best bullpen in the world.
They never have a lead.

It doesn't really matter.
Speaker 2 (06:12):
Like it's like it's like having a a like the
a great defense in the NFL.

Do you need to have a great defense?

But if your offense is putriid at some point, the
other opposing team's offense is gonna put up some points
on the board. There's only so long that you can
that you can, uh, you know, play for that. So
what great would you give the trade? Because I'm not
gonna sit here and say it's bad. I think Mason Miller.
Mason Miller is obviously an all star, unbelievable player. But
if you're the A's, like when you made that deal,

they're looking for the future. And if you're the Potters,
I don't blame Preller for making the move because Preller
thought that he had a team that could go on
a World Series type run. And it certainly wasn't Mason
Miller's fault why they didn't go in the World Series run.
And now I'm hearing reports about a role as Chapman
possibly that they're interested in, hearing reports about Josh Hater

potentially bringing him back, which is great, Like I hear
that the about the bullpen, that's fantastic, But at the
same time, I'm like, are the Potters really gonna be
sending prospects, which, by the way, they have a barren
prospect system. Ethan Salas great seeing him on a big
time trajectory.

potentially going to wait all off season to sign. If
we remember, this is what Kawhi Leonard did the Lakers.
He screwed the Lakers in that freegency because he had
said it was the Raptors, or was the Clippers or
the Lakers, and he knew damn well the entire time
he was gonna be a Los Angeles Clipper. Like, let's
stop all this nonsense. Like Lebron said on his podcast
to mind the game the other day, He's like, oh,

I don't I haven't thought about it. I don't know
where I'm going. Please, Lebron James knows damn well where

if it's the Cavs, if it's the Knicks, if he's

offseason and then sign, then you're gonna screw that team

space for you. Kawhi Leonard did the same thing again.
He kept he knew that the Lakers and the Raptors
were really the Lakers because the Lakers and the Clippers
were two of the favors in the Western Conference that year.
He knew if he waited the Lakers out because the
Lakers had to keep the max level salary slot if
they wanted to sign him, So he was kind of genius.

I gotta give Kawhi some props, even though as a
Laker fan, I was like, screw the dude. Wouldn't happened
because he weighed the Lakers out. They didn't sign anyone
a fre agency because they waited for him and all
the good free agents were gone. And then Kawhis noted
with the Clippers and didn't work out for him. But
at least, you know, try to try to screw the Lakers.

Lebron can't talk about the lack of talent the Lakers have,

crush Lebron Lebron for not taking that level of pay
cut because he still plays at an elite level.

play like it, if he can play at that level,

you want to compete in a Western Conference with them

the Spurs are Devin vi Cell and Keldon Johnson, and

they're really talented players, but because Dylan Harper's there in
Wemby and Daron Fox and Stefan Castle, they're not even
getting mentioned unless you're on a Spurs post game show.
So the Lakers, and then you have the whole Giannis piece,
are they gonna go star hunting? Because the typical Laker
way would be to go star hunting. The Lakers always
are trade all the picks, FM picks like less than

with the Rams. Screw the picks, screw any young talent
on the team, and trade them for a superstar. And look,
if the Lakers get Yanni's I'll be coming on here celebrating.
I'm not gonna I'm not gonna pretend like I wouldn't.
But is that in the best eaters of the team,
Because the Lakers finally have financial flexibility and they have
cap space, and they have draft picks, and they haven't

had that since before Anthony Davis, because when they traded
Lonzo Ball and Kyle Kuzma and Josh Hart and in
brandon Ingram like, that was the last time the Lakers
actually had flexibility with picks in cap space. They traded
all for Anthony Davis. You could debate if that was
a good deal. They got a championship out of it,
but you could also argue that it set the team
back for a lot of years, especially after the Russell

Westbrook deal. So very curious see where the Lakers go
where Yannis goes. Are the Lakers gonna go star hunting?
Are they getting back in the Lebron business. Is there
a team out there that is going to pay a

Greatest is one of those words. It depends what we're
asking here. Do I think that Jalen Brunson is going
to go to the Hall of Fame based on his
career today? Maybe not so. I think he becomes easily
in the conversation for the most beloved greatest, though that's

just one of those words. Sammy, It's just tough. It's
tough to know what people mean by that. You know,
are we talking about somebody who's going to score as
many points as Patrick Ewing, especially with the level of
expectation that Patrick Ewing had when he was drafted number
one out of Georgetown. Are we going to go back
to players like Walt Frazier, who's on the last championship
side back in nineteen seventy three. He's a legend for

the next not only for what he does and his
outfits and his broadcasting, but also for his Game seven
performance back in nineteen ninety three, which, truly, if I
want to look this up, one of the great Game
seven performances of all time, thirty six points and nineteen assists.
So listen. I think it's it's sort of it's a
fun conversation because it's happening right now. But I also

think we're not sure what Jalen Brunson the rest of
his career is going to look like. So you know,
I don't think it ends no matter when it is
that the knixt year and the ends this season. So
I think it's a little premature for me to have

Yeah, certainly will heat up if they win it, But
I like you with the most beloved nick ever. But
looking at SDFC taking on Vancouver tomorrow at six point thirty,
of course here Adrian and Darren on the call with that,
when you look at this team, the team that knocked
him out last year, how do you see SDFC heading
into this matchup? Because you know, last time I had
you on the offense was kind of slumping. There wasn't
(25:26):
much there. Put up five goals against Austin, put up
three goals against Cincinnati. What have you seen to at
least change the perception of the offense of this team
in the last couple weeks.
Speaker 3 (25:36):
Well, they just look like themselves. I think you know
that they're playing the way that they want to play,
at least in terms of we know that they're always
going to have possession. They're leading the league in time
of possession, so you know, it's just who they are.
They're going to pass the ball more than anybody else,
more than their opponents every single match. But keeping it
(25:56):
and not making mistakes that lead to I think has
gotten better. It's not where it was last year, and
it's not where it needs to be by the end
of the regular season, but it's been better over the
last handful of matches and this one would be a
good one to have to get a result in hopefully
(26:16):
three points against Vancouver, but playing better against FC Cincinnati
side that was second in supporter shield standing last year,
playing better against the Seattle team that hadn't lost at
home in over a year, the frustration of what it
was that happened against LAFC. They're starting to look like themselves.
I still think that they have some things that they
(26:38):
have to work on, still dealing with some of the
injuries you know that have just dominoed from one match
to the next. So I think a sixty day break
is probably going to be a pretty good thing for
them overall, hopefully ending up on a high note. But
you know, it's the thing that holds them back. I mean,
their goal scoring is pretty much right there with Vancouver
(26:59):
when you look at how many goals scored thirty for Vancouver,
twenty eight for SDFC. But it's the goal prevention that's
really let SDFC down. They've allowed thirteen more goals than Vancouver.
That's a lot. Vancouver is now the best team in
the league. They're the stingiest. They've only allowed ted, but
still some work to do, whether it's some of that
late match chaos or whether it's the set pieces in
the corner kicks. You know, they still have some things
(27:21):
that they have to work on to be a better team,
you know, to be this kind of team that we
saw from last year.
Speaker 2 (27:26):
You mentioned the late match chaos. What what would in
your opinion that be why the You know, SDFC hasn't
always been able to hold leads and they're up to
zero on LAFC and it felt like that was kind
of becoming a recurring theme.
Speaker 1 (27:38):
Is just the lack of talent back there? What would
you put it at?
Speaker 3 (27:43):
I would say, you know, it is a little bit
of lack of depth for sure. You know, this is
the second year team and SDFC doesn't have what a
lot of these other teams have, Sammy, they don't have
an academy, they don't have a second team where you know,
if you're running short on bodies on a busy week
where you're playing three times in eight days, you can
pull a couple players up from your academy who can
(28:06):
maybe manage ten fifteen minutes here or there. Right, they
don't have that. You know, They've got teenagers that they
have to cycle through off the bench. So I think
some of it is depths just because of the nature
of the club and where they are, and just being
the second season that they haven't yet built in academy
that they can pull players from. I also think it's
a bit of fatigue. I think late goals allowed probably
(28:28):
suggests to you, especially given everything that's happened. I mean,
we've really packed the season here into a couple of months,
haven't we, with conkor CAP Champions Cup and the ups
and down, etc. The red carts, the suspensions. I think
also it would be fair you'll never hear this from them.
I mean, you'll never hear this from their coach, but
I would say I think a little bit of mental
(28:49):
and physical fatigue has probably contributed to some of those
late minute goals that we've seen. So, you know, I
think it's just a combination of a couple of different things.
And you know, again like like this team, it spoiled
us in ways last year that we're really really unexpected,
and you know, now where I think starting to see
(29:11):
maybe a little bit more of what first year, second
team second year teams have to deal with.
Speaker 2 (29:18):
You mentioned the injuries, so maybe that's the answer that
it's good to have the break right now. But if
they have been playing I guess not the best, but
better the last couple of weeks than they had certainly
a month or two ago, do you think the World
Cup break comes at a good time or if you're
like SDFC, outside of just injuries, do you wish like
either're starting to put it together and now, of course
they're off for for a month, right.
Speaker 3 (29:40):
Yeah, I mean you, you know, pick up three points
again to Vancouver and we'll be walking out of the
building going, man, this break comes time, doesn't So now
I do? I honestly think that they didn't really have
any offseason. You know, they didn't. They were one of
the last team standing in Major League Soccer lost to
(30:01):
Vancouver in the Western Conference Final. They were literally the
first MLS team to play a competitive match because they
open up Conker Cap Champions Cup against Pulmas. They were
the first team in action playing a competitive match. Barely
had any offseason, barely had any camp, so learning all
(30:21):
this stuff on the fly, Sammy as you could imagine,
don't need to be an expert, just apply this Sanny sport.
There's a reason why football teams right. Gridiron football teams
have weeks and weeks and weeks of camp. Baseball spent
six seven weeks in spring training. STFC didn't really have
any of that. So, regardless of what happens, even if
you win five, no tomorrow like, oh this is great,
we're playing better. Let's keep going. Who's up next? Regardless

of what happens, I do think it is overall, the
overarching opinion would be good time push the reset button,
address what it is that you need to address. Remember
the transfer window will open too by the time SDFC
plays its next game after this one tomorrow, So who
even knows. There might be some players who will be
on their way out, there might be some players who

are on their way in. There'll be lots of speculation.
I can be sure of that, especially coming off a
World Cup cycle. But I think to get a proper
camp in, which is part of their plan, is a
good idea and it will be beneficial to the club
in the long run.

We look at that Dodger series against the Podres, And
we've heard some takes this week. Some people are like,
you know, they kept it competitive, they won game one,
Game two could have gone either way. Some people were
kind of negative on the outlook, especially how they finished Wednesday.
Where were you at with that series, like with the Podres,
take your biggest takeaway from it?
Speaker 3 (31:41):
Yeah, I mean I'm one of those that would say
those two games were really good. I mean they were
really competitives, decided by one run each coin flip either way,
abs decisions, right, I think I said on Friar Terror,
sorry the margins were razor thin. That that's fair, that's objective.
I don't care who you're rooting for, Like, that's the
(32:04):
reality of it. Third game, it felt like the Dodgers
sort of said, okay, you know, we were gonna our
stars are going to show up. We have Shoho Tani.
Not only is he going to pitch, he's you know,
the Homer on the first pitch of the game, and
Freddie Freeman's gonna jackup doubles and here's Mooki and okay,
you know, go back to your room.

It felt a.

Little bit like that, but you know, probably just you know,
just because it's the Dodgers, it just has that impact,
you know, I like, was it really that dramatic or
is that just because it's Padtery's Dodgers. Probably the latter,
But you know, it did feel that way, and I
think the Patrick players and the coach even sort of
felt that way afterwards. It's kind of how they sounded

to me in their postgame commentary. So, uh, it's just
a different matchup, you know, It's just a different sense.
Like you do use it as measuring sticks, you do
use it as trying to compare yourself to be where
where they have been over the last couple of years.
So I don't think it's a total mismatch. I don't
think it's varsity versus junior varsity, but pushed the shove.

I do think that the Dodgers are better, and I
think they showed you why.

Yeah, it's interesting. I would not have if you would
have said, what do you think the Potters are going
to be looking for? Like, what are they actively out
there scouting? I think I would have gone starting pitching,
hitting first, and second, bullpen third, you know, and then
bench pieces depths, you know, maybe somewhere in that mix

as well. And it's not just that they're looking for
bullpen arms. The names and the contracts, I mean Josh
Hater and a waldersh dat And I was like, hey,
what yeah, not cheap. So yeah, I mean not cheap
and big names and big game hunting again. So as
somebody who who's been with the Potteries for a long
time said to me, I will, let me see if

I'm gonna screw it up. But he said, I'll never
