Curs, bikes one, ball ninth, Inning Lenn barker on the
verge of really one of the great games in baseball.

Speaker 1 (11:26):
History this place is pettle of her but is absolutely
pandemonium here at the.

Speaker 6 (11:31):
Stadium Glenn barker getting a sign From Ron, Hessy Ernie
witz stands in wind up here it comes.

Speaker 2 (11:41):
Fly ball that it.

Speaker 6 (11:42):
Fail manning coming, On he's, There, Hey cut to The
Glen barker.

Speaker 2 (11:47):
Pitts then no. LETTER i quite the game For Lenn.

Speaker 1 (11:50):
Barker welcome back To Guardian's Weekly jim Rosen house back
with you From Progressive field in Downtown, cleveland Where Thursday
night history was almost made As Parker messick flirted with
a no. Hitter But Lenny barker's perfect game back in
nineteen eighty one remains the most recent no, hitter but

(12:12):
not for a lack of effort By, messick who took
a no hitter into the ninth inning before it was broken.
Up we just heard the highlights from that historic night On,
thursday or shall we say near, historic and we had
a chance to catch up With messik the following day
and he talked about how special the night was for.

Speaker 2 (12:27):
Him, yeah it. Was it was an awesome.

Speaker 7 (12:29):
Opportunity i'm, think, well the coaching staff allowed me to
go out there for the ninth and and have that
shot at. It you, know it was really. Cool you,
KNOW i obviously WISH i would have gotten, it but you,
know when you sit back and.

Speaker 2 (12:41):
Really look at, it it was a great.

Speaker 7 (12:42):
Outing and you know that's kind of What will, said
and you, know the postgame meetings and stuff was just
it's a good, outing and you, know we want to
continue to build off a good start of.

Speaker 1 (12:49):
The, year and you've had good outings to start the,
season great, outings you could, say, Certainly and what do
you what do you think was the difference last night
that allowed you to get that deep with a no hitter.

Speaker 7 (12:58):
GOING i THINK i just had a couple of quick
outs and did a good job of managing. COUNTS i
had the leadoff walk to start the, game but settled
into the delivery after. That and when you get quick
outs and and you know you're getting weak, contact it's
just sets. UP i, MEAN i can't speak on it
because that's the Longest i've ever been, Hitless but you,
know when whenever you have all your stuff going like

(13:19):
that and you're able to get some quick, outs it
kind of sets up the pitch chalunt to go deeper
into the. Game so that's what happened last, night you,
know and hopefully it happens. Again what did your, Catcher
Austin hedges mean to you last? Night pretty much everything
that he does every. GAME i, mean he's a man back.
There he knows how to how to call, game he
knows how to execute a game, plan and he knows
how to read the other team the swings that they're

(13:40):
making and if they change their. Plan and he's so
good hitter to hit her at just knowing the game
and watching each guy that it takes the pressure off.
ME i just go out there and next to you
the pitches and you, know do WHATEVER i can help the.

Speaker 2 (13:51):
Team.

Speaker 1 (13:52):
WUN i understand you were not aware of the history
of no hitters for this, franchise which it's been a
long time, now and how familiar are you with it
now of some of the history of no hitters. Here,
YEAH i.

Speaker 7 (14:04):
Got educated a little bit last night AND i, was you,
know at the end of the post, GAME i was, like,
OH i did the BEST i can. Do, sorry, guys
so you, know HOPEFULLY i can get another one.

Speaker 1 (14:13):
And the last great defensive. Play you're out of the,
game but obviously you're watching Intently Juan brito with a
terrific play to end the game as you're in that.
Dugout what's going through your mind as the ninth innings, Developing.

Speaker 7 (14:24):
Yeah you just want to, win win for the, team you,
know the hit no hitters broken, up, Whatever so ALL
i want to do is, win and so we can
go in there and celebrate and you, know come out
here and get the next.

Speaker 2 (14:34):
One pargo has a lot of fun last. Night thanks
for coming, by, Absolutely thanks greving me.

Speaker 1 (14:38):
Man it seems like sky's the limit For Parker messk
as he is off to an unbelievable start in his
first four outings of twenty twenty. Six guardians Outfielder Stephen
kwant's been off to a nice start at the plate
and defensively as, well as he has moved for a
lot of his games to center field after four years
as A Gold glove left. Fielder we caught up with

(14:58):
him during the recent road t have Been Saint louis
and he talked about now he's feeling about his game
so far over the first three weeks or so of the. Season,
Yeah i've.

Speaker 8 (15:07):
Been happy with the quality of the, bats swinging at.
STRIKES i, mean it's been tough with the gauntle Like
i'm sure everybody's been, saying facing a couple of really good,
rotations AND i think the way the teams have been
responding and kind of just how we've been having plans,
TOGETHER i think it's hard not to be happy with
how it.

Speaker 1 (15:23):
Starts you mentioned, that and as far back as spring
training we were looking at the teams you're playing in the.
Pictures is it tough sometimes not to look at the
reputations and just focus on what you're.

Speaker 2 (15:32):
Doing, yeah no.

Speaker 8 (15:33):
DOUBT i, mean name value is, real BUT i think
that's just kind of part of. IT I, mean Luckily
i've had a couple of years under my belt now
or you can kind of isolate the name and try
to just respect the picture as they. Are BUT i, mean,
YEAH i think a lot of the young guys as.
Well it's it's actually funny some of the young guys
don't know some of the older, names so maybe ignorance
is blissed. There but it's been fun just kind of
digging in deep into. Him and LUCKILY i have some

(15:54):
of my bats against these, guys so there's like a
big database to go off. Of but, yeah it's been
A gauntland so.

Speaker 1 (15:58):
Far scoring, Position you're off to a real nice. Start
do you approach it differently when there's guys in scoring
position in terms of how you want to go about?

Speaker 8 (16:06):
IT i don't THINK i treated any, Different BUT i
think mentally it's more of an idea that the pitcher
is the one in a pressure, situation and, yeah obviously
we are, too BUT i think just kind of shifting
my mind of like the picture is trying to make a.
Pitch he's a little less comfortable than he would be
with no runners, on so maybe that kind of gives
me a little more comfort at the. Plate BUT i
don't think if you try a little too hard at the,
plate bad things can, happen so just try to keep it.

Speaker 1 (16:27):
Simple and tonight's another night Where chase the lotters hitting
behind you in the two.

Speaker 2 (16:31):
Hole has that?

Speaker 1 (16:32):
Changed have you noticed any change in how people are
pitching you because of the start that he's off To
may a little?

Speaker 8 (16:38):
BIT i MEAN i think, overall, YES i know this
kind of importing against me is just like go after
him with strikes and get too as fast as. Possible
but it feels like they've been doing a good job of.
That so maybe That's chase that maybe that's just the game,
plan it's it's probably, both but it's been fun having
hit behind. ME i made the joke With hosey that
When i'm on first, Base i'm in scoring position For,
josey and NOW i feel like the same thing For.

(16:59):
Chase so my job right now is just get my
butt to first base and then let them swing the baths.

Speaker 1 (17:03):
There and as someone who got off to a red
hot start in their rookie, season what have you made
of his start as he gets off to it and
especially getting.

Speaker 8 (17:11):
Deeper, YEAH i MEAN i definitely THOUGHT i had a
pretty red hot, start BUT i, mean he's kind of
redefining that. Idea, SO i mean he's been taking a.
Stride he's been doing a really good job of managing the.
Expectations and you, KNOW i think it's really easy when
your phone gets blown, up you can kind of get
all warped into.

Speaker 2 (17:24):
That but he's been doing a really good.

Speaker 8 (17:26):
Job i've told a lot of people he's just so
mature with how his approaches at the plate and just
off the field. Stuff, SO i, mean he's doing a great.
Job it's like he's been here for a long.

Speaker 1 (17:33):
Time Outfielder Stephen quan joining. Us we used to say left,
fielder but now we say outfielder because he'd been bouncing
back and forth between left and. Center how has that
gone in your opinion from what you're, Seeing.

Speaker 8 (17:43):
YEAH i think it's been good making the. PLAYS i
Think i'm supposed. To we just made the joke.

Speaker 2 (17:48):
Earlier.

Speaker 8 (17:49):
Obviously it's like every TIME i moved to left and
schneeze and, center they challenge him and he makes a crazy.
Play so still would like to be challenged a little
bit and kind of see what my limitations are. There
But i'm she's been doing a great. JOB i feel
Like i've been making the play THAT i need, to
so it's nice to be able to switch from center
to left and have that.

Speaker 1 (18:07):
Flexibility always fun to catch up With Steven kum with
some great perspectives on his own, play as well as
some teammates as. Well stay with, us we'll hear from
twenty Sixteen World series Hero Raj davis sets next on
The Cleveland Clinic Guardians, radio AND i think two Ounce

(18:35):
guyard second six to, Four cubs leading The, Indians game
seven of what has been a Classic World series between
two teams that have longed for that championship more years
than any other two franchises in.

Speaker 2 (18:56):
Baseball now the pitch swung on light the deep left,
field it is go you six.

Speaker 1 (19:12):
Seed the celebration out of The indians.

Speaker 2 (19:17):
Third place Dugout Rosie.

Speaker 9 (19:21):
Davis i'll bullet to Run homer down the left field,
line clearing the nineteen Football we are tied an.

Speaker 1 (19:32):
Sets welcome back To Guardians. Weekly Jim rose announced back
with you From Progressive field in Downtown, cleveland where On,
Friday Raj davis was in. Town as, said they're honoring
throughout the year this year members of the twenty Sixteen
World series, team and Certainly davis with that memorable home

(19:53):
run In game seven that looked like it might be
enough to put The guardians over the. TOP i had
the game at the, time late only to see The
cubs win that game seven and extra. Innings but no
one will ever forget the home run That davis. Hit
and he Joined Tom hamilton in the broadcast booth during
the game and they talked about some great. Memories we

(20:15):
are pleased to be joined By Raja, davis the one and.

Speaker 2 (20:19):
Only that's me celebrating ten. Years ten years has gone.
By how did that? Happen?

Speaker 1 (20:26):
Wow and you have a bobblehead, huh the old.

Speaker 2 (20:32):
One in time and.

Speaker 3 (20:33):
Only it's your, first my first BIBBLEHEAD. Mlb, yes one
moment to. Remember and you know what is SOMETHING i dreamed?
About it really.

Speaker 2 (20:43):
Is the, bibleheader the home run.

Speaker 3 (20:45):
Bibblehead i'm talking about.

Speaker 2 (20:47):
THAT i bet.

Speaker 1 (20:49):
Though you've got your son, here who's a fifth, Grader Jordan.
Michael Jordan, Michael when you were in fifth, grade did
you dream of doing what you did against the Oldest.

Speaker 2 (20:57):
CHAPMAN i tell you.

Speaker 3 (20:59):
What we would play a lot of whiffleball WHEN i
was in the fifth, grade and in our whifflet ball.
Games we pretended to be in The World, series and
we pretended to hit that home run in The World
series a, lot and one of my teammates actually created
a mock Up, fenway so he had the big Kidding, well, no.

Speaker 2 (21:23):
Literally it was super.

Speaker 3 (21:25):
Cool and so when we go out there and you
hit that ball Over, fenway that big old, wall it
was it felt like we was.

Speaker 1 (21:32):
It so nineteen feet here was nothing, exactly of, Course
Raj davis WITH i still think it's the greatest woman
in the history of this park since opened in nineteen ninety,
four to Tie game seven in the eighth inning against
a Rolled As, chapman a seven pitch at bat following

(21:54):
a seven pitch at bat By Brandon, geyer WHOSE rbi
double made it a two run. Game as you leave
the on deck, circle as you, Watched brandon, said, bat
what what are you even thinking?

Speaker 3 (22:06):
ABOUT i THINK i think we're we're kind of on
the same wavepand you know place you Know brandon because
he talks a, lot a, lot he's got the major
league mindset now that he, does and we would talk
about a lot of those kind of. Things but for,
me it was more preparation. BEFOREHAND i was expecting the,
moment so the moment.

Speaker 2 (22:26):
Didn't creep up on.

Speaker 3 (22:27):
THAT i was ready for the, moment AND i recognized
the moment BEFORE i got, There, like this is the
Moment i've been looking for the Entire World. SERIES i
was expecting to do something that was. GREAT i really,
Was and you, know just to recognize the moment and
to come through and and that moment is another.

Speaker 1 (22:45):
Thing now when you're talking that, Way, raj are you
thinking home run or are you just thinking get a
good pitch to?

Speaker 2 (22:52):
Hit what do you think about stepping.

Speaker 3 (22:54):
Up and thinking about? Battle it's me versus, You like
you're one. One what's like basketball one on. One i'm
not playing against eight or nine other. Players it's just
me versu.

Speaker 2 (23:06):
You, so are you thinking, fastball, react slider or?

Speaker 3 (23:11):
What, no we're not thinking anything but fastball at this.
Moment everyone. Knows ross doesn't want to he was he
doesn't want to see any balls in the. Dirt he's
only calling fastballs and he's and for me, personally that
was my third time facing that. Series he had dole
me all. Fastball that's that's the. Number it must have

(23:32):
been the sixteenth pitch he had thrown to me three
in the first, game a sixth pitch of bat in
the second TIME i faced, them and then that that.

Speaker 2 (23:42):
Set so.

Speaker 1 (23:46):
You are following off fastball after? Fastball were you creeping
up on the bad handle a?

Speaker 2 (23:52):
Little? OH i had.

Speaker 3 (23:53):
TO i was like at that at that point during the,
season for, me the bat was feeling extremely and So
i've Already i've already you, know went from whatever it
was to a lighter, bat and now it's, like it
still feels. Heavy So i'm, Like, OKAY i don't want
TO i don't want to sing your heavy back against
one hundred miles. Plus, OKAY i want to be able

(24:15):
to at least be able to get the head out
IF i need, to, right if he come, INSIDE i
got to be able to get it get it out.
Front AND i couldn't do that if the bat felt heavy,
Mentally so in my Mind i'm, thinking IF i can
just make it feel, lighter right AND i can get
it out, FRONT i got a chance to at least
hit the.

Speaker 1 (24:35):
Ball, Mark, oh did you a babe over the nineteen
football to tie the? GAME i know you've seen the. Video, Now,
well when you're running the, bases do.

Speaker 2 (24:46):
You have any idea what you've just.

Speaker 5 (24:48):
Done, Though.

Speaker 3 (24:48):
No at the, Moment i'm, like is it possible THAT
i just hit a home run in The World? Series
in games even bottom of a Dow i'm like, Two,
like that can't.

Speaker 2 (25:03):
Be, me is?

Speaker 3 (25:04):
It and so it's like a shock to me because
these are the moments that all the kids dream, of
but who gets actually too and get the opportunity to
come up in that moment and.

Speaker 1 (25:19):
Deliver when you look back at it now and you
see the fans from both, teams your teammates like little
leaguers leaping out of the, Dugout what do you even
think of now when you're thinking?

Speaker 2 (25:33):

i played with in the, past when when they talk about,

(25:59):
it they have a story that connects me. Low SO
i get to hear thousands of different stories over the
years because of that one.

Speaker 1 (26:08):

(26:47):

but thanks for the greatest moment in the history.

Speaker 3 (26:52):
Of This, parker and thanks for one of the greatest
calls of that.

Speaker 6 (26:55):

Speaker 2 (26:56):

Speaker 1 (26:59):
Raj he's got a zone bobblehead in a moment that'll

memories of the twenty Sixteen World. Series stay with us
when we come. Back it's a farm. Report we'll focus

Speaker 10 (27:20):
Network do you read more about your team in the
off season than in the season. Season does your game

you may be a fan of A bst or bad sports. Team,
luckily when you bundle your home on auto insurance With,
progressive you're protected because seeing your painted face in the

Speaker 1 (27:52):
Situations welcome. Back it's our final segment Of Guardians. Weekly
where It Progressive field this week in Downtown. Cleveland just
up the road In Lake, county The high a affiliate
for The Cleveland, guardians has begun its. Season Will huntington

(28:15):
is the assistant director of player development for The, guardians
and he has of great insight on a lot of
the players, there including last year's top round draft pick
for The, guardians Outfielder Jase.

Speaker 11 (28:26):
LaViolette's, yeah, absolutely With, jase we're really fired up to
get the chance to see him go out and.

Speaker 12 (28:32):
Compete and that's one of the things that when we've
seen him at his, best when we've gotten the chance
to get to know. Him the competitor is definitely something
that stands. OUT i, mean he's a guy that he
wants to be. Great you can tell the minute you meet,
him the minute you spend some time with, him see
him in a training, Environment the way he pushes, himself
elevates his, teammates the, worker the, competitor all.

Speaker 13 (28:51):
Of those things are very.

Speaker 12 (28:53):
Obvious but then you get to the things that show
up on the, field And, yeah to your, point there's
a pretty special skill. Set he can do some things
that very few guys can. Do so the ball he
hit in The Big league game against The giants the other,
day the, power the, approach the ability to get pitches
to hit and then do damage on those is something
that really stands.

Speaker 13 (29:12):
Out he's also a guy that you know can impact the,
ball you, know can impact the game all.

Speaker 12 (29:16):
Around he's a really good. RUNNER i, mean big physical,
guy but he can. Move we think he can play
some you, know play a good center, field steal some,
bases just be a really well rounded player that's going
to make the guys around him better as.

Speaker 1 (29:30):
Well and when you look at at some, teammates other college,
Players Nolan schubert might see some simon the, outfield but
what are you seeing on him as he gets rolling
here in his first full.

Speaker 12 (29:41):
Season, YEAH i Mean, nolan he was a guy that
we knew was a big time power threat in college
At Oklahoma. State it was great to get the chance
to see him get out a little bit To lynchburg
last year and be part of the group that got
out and helped them kind of bring that championship in last.
Year really kind of a, leader helped that group. Gel
but also you, know similar To jay's big physical presence

(30:02):
that kind of immediately jumps out when you see, him
but really dynamic offensive, profile a guy who has really
stand out bat, speed but also a great decision. Maker
he knows what he's looking for in the batter's. Box
he's going to get his pitch to, hit you.

Speaker 13 (30:16):
Know also a guy that can play a couple of different.

Speaker 12 (30:17):
Positions to your, point has some experience at first base
going back to his high school days In, michigan maybe
saw a little bit more time in the outfield throughout
his college, career and then we got the chance to
kind of see him do a little bit of both
last year At.

Speaker 13 (30:30):
Lynchberg and he's a guy that you, know may continue
to profile at both.

Speaker 12 (30:33):
Positions his versatility is comfort at both is definitely a.
Plus but he's also a guy that our staff is.
Though he's really impressive to work. With like we talked,
about leader, worker really values a lot of the little,
things and you, KNOW i think we'll see him continue
to get better and she's excited for him to get
a first full season after a great taste of Pro
bawl last.

Speaker 1 (30:52):
Year and he mentioned some of those leadership. Things and
In Dean, curly obviously the physical tools are there with
the draft status that he, had but coming from a
program that he did that was in contention or winning national,
titles how does that transfer into what he's doing now
to try and have him become the best he could.

Speaker 12 (31:12):
Be, yeah With, dean he's another one of those guys
that you, know we talk about the group of guys
that got To lynchburg and you know kind of continue
to help that team gel and grow as a.

Speaker 13 (31:22):
Unit And dean was a big part of.

Speaker 12 (31:23):
THAT i think as soon as he walked in the,
building he was a guy that was organizing dinners and
trying to help the draft class get to know each
other and build those relationships and. Bonds, obviously his track
record spiece for. HIMSELF i, mean he's gone and competed
and won everywhere he's. Been was a huge part Of
Tennessee's College World series run a few years, ago hit
really well as a, freshman and then continued to hit

(31:43):
and got even better his sophomore. Season really consistent offensive.
Producer he's a guy, that again you mentioned the physical.
Tools he can hit the ball really, hard hits the ball.
Consistently going to have a really selective and strong approach
in there as. Well and, YEAH i mean, defensively he's
a guy he's played a few different. Spots we'll probably
see him mostly on the left side of.

Speaker 13 (32:03):
The enfield In Lake.

Speaker 12 (32:04):
County a guy, that you, know good, athlete really you,
know quality arm, strength and we're excited to see kind
of what he looks like getting out into a full
season as.

Speaker 1 (32:11):
Well another player someone who's been in the system for
a little. Bit and we've been talking about a lot
of the recently drafted, players But Jason, CHURIO i, know
had some injury issues along the, way but when he
has been able to play over a consistent period of,
time there's a lot to like there and what are
you seeing from him as he starts At Lake.

Speaker 12 (32:31):
County, YEAH i, Mean jason's obviously a really talented young.

Speaker 13 (32:35):
Player we feel the sky's the limit for.

Speaker 12 (32:37):
Him to your, point a little bit banged up last
year and as a, result maybe the on field results
weren't exactly what either we or he would have maybe
been looking, For BUT i think it was a great learning.
Experience he's still really, young and you, know had has
shown a ton of growth from that. Experience we got
the chance to see him go out and play winter
ball over the, offseason and it was a really positive
experience for, him getting the chance to, see you, know

(32:59):
the player that we all though he can, be seeing
him play really quality center, field get on base a,
ton steal, bases be aggressive in that, space and show
some extra bas power from both sides of the. Plate
he's a guy, that you, know at his, best he
very selective. Approach he's gonna constantly be on, base walking a,
lot getting, hits but also pretty special ability to impact
the baseball from both. Sides you, know really don't see

(33:21):
that a lot from guys that are switch hitters can
play center field the way That jason can there's really
there's so much that he can do on the. Field
but one of the things too that stands out in
just getting the chance to be around him and see
him interact with our guys in our group is he's
an awesome team first. PLAYER i, mean he is a,
guy he loves the. Game he lifts the guys up around,
him even just the other day in our spring breakout,

(33:42):
game getting the chance to see him in the dugout
and the way that he's cheering on, guys and just
an awesome team, player great human, being and just really
excited to see what he can do in a healthy season.

Speaker 1 (33:53):
Here all, Right switching to the mound With Will, huntington
assistant and player development for The, guardians Talking Lake County Braylan,
dowdy a young man recently. Drafted AND i know every
pitcher seems to have a different pace of, development but
what do you like now as he starts at that
full season level Of Lake, county which is certainly a

(34:15):
step up for. Him.

Speaker 12 (34:17):
Yeah, Absolutely and you, know as you, Mentioned braylan's really,
Young he's really. Talented one of the things that's always stood,
out even going back to our scouts getting to know
him in the.

Speaker 13 (34:25):
Draft process is the, poise the.

Speaker 12 (34:27):
Maturity that he, shows the ability to kind of do
the little. Things one thing with him is he was
really young for LOW a last, year getting the chance
to take on the high level this.

Speaker 13 (34:35):
Year but he's really new to pitching in.

Speaker 12 (34:37):
General he's a guy that was mostly a position player growing,
up played a bunch of different, sports really.

Speaker 13 (34:41):
Athletic can really.

Speaker 12 (34:42):
Drive a golf, ball kick a, football but it was
mostly a position player until, early you, know early to
mid away through his high school, career moved to the.
Mound but despite, that he's really advanced in a lot
of those you know.

Speaker 13 (34:52):
Things that you see from a pitch ability. Standpoint he
throws a ton of. Strikes he's not afraid to attack the.
Zone he commands his.

Speaker 12 (34:59):
Mix he's able to you, know you watch him on the,
mound he's varying his times to the plate and his.
Looks he prepares for outings at a really high. Level
in the, dugout he's dialed in on the opposing. Hitters
he's watching how our guys are pitching to them on
his off days and then applies that to his own
strength and his.

Speaker 13 (35:16):
Own mix when he's out there on the.

Speaker 12 (35:17):
Mound so just some of those things that are really
fun to see from a guy at that. Age and
on top of, that really exciting. STUFF i, mean he's
a guy we got to see it in the spring breakout,
game but quality fastball there in the mid nineties with
some exciting life to. It he can really spin the,
baseball which is one thing that we've seen show up
and some of the objective data translates to a really you,
know a lot of movement and a.

Speaker 13 (35:38):
Lot of power on a bigger breaking.

Speaker 12 (35:40):
Ball he's working to add a shorter breaking ball to
the mix and kind of rounds it out with a
sinker and a.

Speaker 13 (35:44):
Changeup SO i got some.

Speaker 12 (35:45):
Really quality stuff and a lot to be excited about
it is he gets to the HIGH a level Justin.

Speaker 1 (35:51):
Campbell it seems that one of the qualities that Makes
cleveland such power in terms of pitching development is. Patience
AND i know you've had to be patient With. Campbell
how many hurdles has he had to overcome to finally
get back on the mount and try and.

Speaker 11 (36:06):
Contribute, yeah, Obviously justine' the guy that we're all super
excited to see get out and throw in this spring
seeing him out there and competing has been one of
the highlights OF i Think spring for everyone down.

Speaker 12 (36:17):
Here and it's been a long route For. Justin he's
overcome a ton and he's grown a ton throughout, that.

Speaker 13 (36:23):
Which has been really cool to.

Speaker 12 (36:24):
See you, know he's really leaned into our staff and
grown as a person and grown and become a leader
for some of the guys in the rehab.

Speaker 13 (36:32):
Space it's been really cool to.

Speaker 12 (36:33):
See him help guys through that process and the way
that he's been able to build some of those bonds
that we think will help translate to him being a
leader on a pitching staff as he does get out
to the affiliate. LEVEL i, mean we've gotten to see
him start to compete against other, teams and seeing the
way that guys that have been in the rehab program
with him have rallied and been fired up to see
him pitch has been really cool and something that stood. Out,

(36:55):
YEAH i, mean so many of the things that our
group was excited about With justin coming out of, college
we've gotten to see show, up from the athleticism to
the competitor and the worker that he, is to the strike,
thrower the, velocity the arsenal.

Speaker 13 (37:09):
Depth you, know he's been in an awesome spot this.

Speaker 12 (37:11):
Spring exciting pitch mix with the, fastball really good change
up that's a real, weapon deep breaking ball mixed that
we think will help him have a lot of options
against both left and right handed. Hitters and obviously we'll
work closely With justin to figure out kind of the
best way to build up and get him acclimated to
the six game series and the road trips and all
of that that come with affiliate.

Speaker 13 (37:31):
Baseball but really excited.

Speaker 12 (37:32):
For where he's, at AND i think everyone's just fired.

Speaker 13 (37:34):
Up to get to see him go out and.

Speaker 1 (37:35):
