It's kind of a target rich environment sparing for a
house build.

I think, oh, nice, Well that's got to be that's
got to be really exciting. We'll talk a little bit
about about that. I know, we've got a conversation of course,
ash trees and fungicidle sprays and all sorts of stuff
when it comes to, uh, getting getting your trees covered
and taken care of them. But first and foremost I

And uh, you are you are thinking, uh and putting
the thought out there for folks about boilers, and we're thinking, oh,
the forecast looks like it's you know, we're getting into
spring and summer. Now is the time to be thinking
about about getting a boiler. And so when fall, winter,
and even early spring roll around on for years to come,
you'll be comfortable. Let's talk a little bit about about

the portage and main boilers that you guys have at

Kevin, Yeah, you know, and we've got one ourselves here
at the shop. And for those of you that are
you know, out in the country, yeah, uh, they're a
great way to have a you know, consistent if you're
one of those you like a seventy three degree house,
like my wife says, yeah, uh, you know you can.

You can just you don't have to worry about the
service that Nope, you know you just and and it's easy,
you know, once a day or twice a day, uh,
feed and you know you can. You can have wet wood,
dry wood, greenwood, h pine, you know, hardwood and anything
(02:51):
you want to burn in it, you can burn in it.
And so very forgiving as far as if you know,
some people are those store firewood up for two years
and some are not so well prepared. And so these
these boilers just give you the leeway. And you know
we we actually dumped wood at a lot of people's
(03:14):
places that have outdoorways. You know, they get in touch
with people like us and say, oh, you know, and
it's a convenient place for us to dump a load
of wood. So there's ways to get wood, and it's
it's a plentiful resource and it would just sit around
maybe rock and go go to waste, but you can
(03:35):
you can eat your house and your your.

Shop with it, and you don't have to worry when
when your significant other says, I want to run at
seventy three degrees.
Speaker 2 (03:43):
Uh, it's the other builders. Yeah, that's no problem.

All the bill players have had it, Hey Kevin speaking
of of of wood and obviously a great resource. And
a couple of years ago, probably about five years ago
Father's Day, my wife picked me up this uh, this
smoke oker, and I, like many guys, really got into
it for a while. And then I discovered a friend
of mine that did it a little bit better. So

I've been going there. But long story short, good woodchips
make a huge difference. And having those those proper, those
proper smoker chips can make a big difference. And did
I see this right? You are now going to start
offering smoker chips or am I off on that? Yeah?
Speaker 3 (04:25):
We we are. We've got the uh the bag prototype
in in development right now, and so we're gonna have
you know, some of the local species that we have.
Of course we don't have a mesquite no from Arizona,
but uh, you know, oak, hickory, cherry apple, those are

all yeah, you know, favorites, you know, and and so
we can obviously get those and we're going to be
setting up you know, a drying system for our chips
because we we would like to pre dry our our
biochart chips as well, you know, so we can kind
of have a multi purpose and have dedicated chips for
(05:12):
for smoker chips. And we found a nice size bag.
It's kind of three times the volume, you know. Yeah,
we can create a value there.

Yeah, well that's not.
Speaker 3 (05:22):
Too big, but bigger than what you buy in the.

Store generally, and nice value and a trusted source.

I think for a lot of you know, I I
know when it comes to uh, you know, sometimes I'll
go to like big box store X Y Z and
I'll see those I'll see those chips and again they're
they're they're there to add that smoke flavored I'm always like,
I don't know who these people are. One of the
nice things is how when you go to Game of
Trees dot com, you know exactly where it's got these
are these are your neighborhood trees.

Yeah, yes, it's gonna be a yeah, it's.

Not gonna get much more local than that either. And
now speaking of while you're at Game of Trees, of

of year, folks, really as we start to see the leaves,

they literally like a week they went from just being
little buds to now a lot of trees are fully
out and green and looking great. So we're looking at
those and folks start thinking about things like fungicidal sprays.
I know you've been working on that, getting out on
second round. Also, you know, I've got those ash trees.
You want to get that going as well. And let's
talk a little bit about just some of those treatments
(06:37):
and some of those continuing treatments for tree care.

Yeah, and you know on the ash tree note, you know,
I mean people come and go in different houses. You know,
if you've purchased the house within the last two years,
it's quite possible, you know, you have an ash tree.
Maybe it had been being treated and you're just not
aware of it, or or you were made aware of
(07:02):
it and you kind of forgot about it and go,
oh yeah. You know, those are the types of clients
that we're picking up that you know, we we've been
treating ash trees of course since about twenty sixteen. Uh
and and now we're we're probably elongating the schedule as
we uh as we go here, it's going to be
(07:24):
extending out to every three years. You know, if you
get your TREA treated this year, it's going to be
in three years that you treat again. And and so
that's a you know, that's starting to get to be okay,
that's that's fairly manageable. Every other year was like, oh
is this you know, you start your weighing the numbers.
You know, it usually made sense between the removal cost
(07:48):
and your term treatment costs for sure, But now elongating
out to three years, that that's gonna really you've got
a beautiful tree you could easily maintain. Our population bores
are going down because the ash tree population is disappearing,
and so management becomes easier. So if you've had an

ash tree that's been kept alive until now, it's definitely
worth the value to keep it around.

It's amazing.

It's amazing for folks that work through this and are
continuing to do it. And what a great benefit is
having those trees preserved and saved and just beautiful trees
