but Hams Barborcare online Haamsarborcare dot com. That's hamms Arborcare
dot com. They're tellphone number eight sixty six five nine
six five three nine six. That's eight six six five
nine six five three nine six. I mentioned the website
Hamsarborcare dot com. That's h A m ms Arborcare dot com.
(00:33):
Should mention Game of trees dot com. Why because I'm
there right now, And of course, Kevin, You've got so
much stuff on gameotrees dot com. And I was watching
a video I think it was on Instagram maybe it
was a YouTube video of yours, and you were using
some kind of contraption where you would like like twisted
and as you were like ratcheting it, like the the
(00:54):
line would like I don't even know how to describe this.
I don't have to go back and watch this video,
but like the the the rope would like twist and
and like it would like like gathering up what was
by the way, good morning? What was what? What? What
was that contraption that you were using? You know what
I'm talking about? It was it was probably maybe.
Speaker 2 (01:13):
Probably the g r c S. Maybe that was rigging
control system and and that goes at the base of
the tree. And we has a nautical winch on there,
a Hearkin winch and a lot of people. You know,
Harken is a Wisconsin company, really, and I should go
over there and visit it because, uh, they they purchased
(01:34):
the g r c S from Greg good and and
so they Hearken now directly markets it. And Hearken is
becoming and you know, people think of it as a
staleboat company, but it's becoming, you know, an agricultural company too.
It's producing a lot of tools for treecare by blocks,
(01:56):
Polleye carabineers, uh and and then the g RCS of course,
so we we we are a distributor of that, and
that's a very very handy tool.
Speaker 1 (02:08):
And what I love too about when we go to
gameotrees dot com and check out all the great stuff
that's on there. The thing that's featured. Now, I'm probably
not going to be using a g r c S,
but I will use and do use. And I'm I'm
a frequent purchaser of the biochar body wash in shampoo.
(02:30):
Now I don't use the shampoo part but I do.
Speaker 2 (02:35):
There is there some pre records that requires.
Speaker 1 (02:39):
I've got half, so I've got the soap. But let's
talk about a little bit about that that product as well.
Is it's it's it's an amazing soap. It's it smells great,
it works right, and it's an amazing story of how
the biochar body bar is is produced. Kevin.
Speaker 2 (02:55):
Yeah, we we produced the biochar, the activated charcoal that
goes in it, and we've got a hammer mill that
we we grind it up fine, but there's still you know,
a little a little grit there, and that's kind of
a feature of the soap, kind of an exfoliating thing.
And and then a good friend of ours was a
soap manufacturer, Stony River Soaps up in in Westfield, Wisconsin,
(03:20):
and they they put it together with you know, typical
natural soap. It's all natural. And what makes it a
shampoo product distinct from like just a soap bar is
castor oil. Is actually that you know, people who know
castor oil has some properties that are favorable for our skin,
(03:42):
and and that is also what makes it sudsy, you know,
for for more of the shampoo. But yeah, it's it's
very I use it, you know, every day. You know,
it's what I it's what I prefer. And yeah, it's
got pine feeder and Eucalyptus essential oils, so you know,
(04:04):
it's all things trees, right. It's it's our activated charcoal
from chips that we ground and an activated charcoal that
we made and then put together with the soap products.
It's it's just a nice little caveat with our little
Game of Trees emblem on there. And you can support
the Guatemala project, yeah, by by any of your purchases
(04:26):
at Game of Trees.
Speaker 1 (04:27):
So I apologize, Okay, what we're gonna say, Well, I.
Speaker 2 (04:32):
Was just going to say additionally, we do have a
biochar product on there, you know, like an activated charcoal
that you can use in your gardening, you know, so
all you master gardeners, We've got a couple of products
on there for that.
Speaker 1 (04:45):
That's pretty amazing. That's a gameotrees dot com. That's game
oftrees dot com. And also, while we're talking about the
stuff available, and we talked about about the biochar body,
so butt you've got a couple of different varieties and
I'm looking at the calendar February fourth, teeth is uh
is coming up, which leads me to believe Valentine's Day
is something that is celebrated. I talk about a little
(05:07):
his in her little gift basket, a little combo. I know,
you've got some great specials going on with the body Magnolia, Yes,
which is which is beautifully colored as well. I really
like the way that not only is it is it
an amazing product, but it's it's a nice color as well,
and you can get that ordered right online. And by
the way, Kevin, I'm looking at the forecast here. Goodness
(05:28):
gracious about this really nice hot.
Speaker 2 (05:36):
Yeah, man, it's getting uncomfortably warm?
Speaker 1 (05:39):
Does that does that change? I think? For for like
oaks and other things? Are we are we kind of is?
Are we kind of get in closed, kind of closing
in on the on the you've got to do something
now or or hold off? I mean, where are we
on those on that time?
Speaker 2 (05:54):
Not at risk yet? Uh? You know, dormancy takes more
than you know, a night, a few you know, a
week of warm days and we're we're dipping below freezing
at night. It's perfect maple syrup weather for those that
got tapped a little early. People often think of March
as being maple syrup. But you know it's flowing. This
(06:15):
is perfect weather. You've got freezing at night forty you know,
forty five during the day possibly in some places, and
that just creates a real back and forth flow on
that that sap. So those of the people that are
tapped are are realizing some some gain there.
Speaker 1 (06:38):
That's it's such a night. I think, once you've tried
real maple syrup, you can't go back to that that
not maple stuff. Yeah, it is very much so. And
speaking of the weather, and as we're looking towards spring
and summer months, and obviously I know that plan healthcare
is is something that that a lot of folks are
(06:59):
thinking about right now. And we you know, we've talked
in the past few weeks about the importance of having
if you haven't any trees inspected recently, having them looked at.
And this is the time of year where a lot
of folks are starting to turn their attention to the
outdoors and especially thinking about about those trees. It's a
good time to be to be talking with the folks
at Amsarbacare, isn't it. Kevin.
Speaker 2 (07:19):
Absolutely, We've got our plant healthcare renewals out. We're starting
to think about that, think making sure we have our
our things in order. We've got Milwaukee's sending us some
tools for those. We use drills, different applications, and yeah,
a lot going on for spring. Get on the schedule.
(07:41):
We've still got some time for oak pruning. We're out
doing pruning this week and training pruning. You know, without
the leaves on the tree. It's a great time to
get after. It's springtime. You know, you can still prune
your trees if they're sap flow that not. You know,
(08:01):
oh my trees bleeding. No, it's it's a natural process
and we've got good soil moisture right now, so that
is not an issue. We tend to be very careful
in the spring. Just as the trees are growing, they
tend to be more sensitive and and so there's there's
(08:22):
some certain periods in there. You gotta have nice sharp
saws and pay attention to what you're doing. But yeah,
we can do all sorts of pruning all through the spring.
Speaker 1 (08:32):
