Speaker 1 (00:19):
Good morning, everybody. Welcome to Healing Begins. I'm glad you're listening.
I'm glad you're out there, whether listening to this on
wood radio at one am in the morning or catching
this later as a podcast on the Healing Begins podcast channel.
You know, if you're looking for resources, Spiritual Care Consultants
has a lot of resources. We have a podcast channel

(00:41):
called Healing Begins Spiritual Care. You can find it on Spotify, Google, Apple, Amazon,
anywhere that you get your podcasts. I have like one
hundred and thirty nine podcasts, so plenty of really good
encouraging resources for you to listen to. Down or you're struggling,
or you're having a hard time. I don't know what

(01:03):
you're going through, but I have titled this program it
is Well with My Soul, Third John, Chapter one, verse two.
Of course Third John only has one chapter. It says
brothers above all else. I pray that you would prosper
and be in good health even as your soul prospers.

(01:26):
The prosperity of our soul is critical in life and
in death. The way we handle relationships, the way we
live in our life in a healthy way, is very important.
You know, our family. My grandma had thirteen kids eva
Coffee and most of them, most of them turned out

(01:46):
to be preachers or evangelists, or some way or another
in the ministry somehow everybody involved in church. And this
was at that time years ago, in the Wesleyan Church
in a little town called Diamond Springs. And when our
family gets together, we always sing one song. There's a song.

(02:07):
I would call it the family song, or you could
call it the funeral song. Whatever you want to call it,
it is it is well with my soul. I liked
them Rendition the Gaithers do, where Guy Penrod and David
Philips sing this song. It's really powerful and the words

(02:28):
of the song are powerful. I remember at my uncle's funeral, Keith,
we were around the graveside and the cemetery workers were
getting ready to do their job, and as we were
standing there, we began to sing hymns and praise to
God around it, around the casket because we knew that

(02:49):
it was not the end. We knew that his death.
His body might be in the ground, but he's in
heaven with Jesus. Man. We knew where he was. Man.
He loved the guy. Hey, he was a preacher's whole life.
He served, he loved the Lord, and we knew where
he went, and we always sung it is well with

(03:10):
my soul. Even at my mom and dad's funeral in
twenty thirteen, I did most of their funerals. I don't
know how I ever got through it, but my mom
had requested that we sing. Well. You know how hard
it is to sing at a funeral, right, especially it
is well with my soul. And I said to my

(03:31):
two brothers and my sister, I'll lead the singing in this. Now.
Remember standing in front of the church packed with over
two hundred people, I said, now, look, I'm going to
start this song, but I need you guys to sing
so loud I can't hear myself. And man, they sung,
it is well with my soul. It was amazing, and

(03:51):
people harmonized and were praising the Lord. Because you see,
to us, death is not the end. But death is
not the end, but it's a celebration. It's a celebration
of life and about the life that person is now
experiencing in heaven with Jesus. See, death is only the
doorway for the believer. It's a doorway to eternal life

(04:15):
and I love them song it is well with my soul.
I'm going to read some of the lyrics for you.
I really encourage you to go and google that and
pull up it is Well with my Soul by the
Gaithers Guy Penrod and David Phillips. When peace like a
river attendeth my way, when sorrows like seabills roll, whatever

(04:40):
my lot thou has taught me to say, it is well,
it is well with my soul. Man, I'm gonna tell
you whow. That's a powerful statement right there. Whatever my
lot thou hast taught me to say, it is well,

(05:01):
it is well with my soul. And here's the next verse.
Those satans should buffet, though trials should come, Let this
bless assurance control that Christ has regarded my helpless estate
and has shed his own blood for my soul. Now

(05:23):
one of the reasons why I am going through this today.
Two days ago, in the middle of the night, I
had a dream that this was being sung to me,
and I will cop seeing this him. I love it.
Though satans should buffet, those trials should come, Let this
blessed assurance control that Christ has regarded my helpless estate

(05:49):
and has shed his own blood for my soul. And
I like this next verse, really powerful verse, my sin, Oh,
the bliss of this glorious thought. My sin not in part,
but the whole is nailed to the cross, and I

(06:13):
bear it no more. Praise the Lord, Praise the Lord.
Oh my soul, I love that is nailed to the cross,
and I bear it no more. So my sin and
your sin was brought to Calvary, And when it was
nailed to the cross, all of it was nailed there.

(06:34):
Every single sin was nailed there, so that you and I,
when we stand before the Lord, that sin will never
be remembered again. And the other verses. Oh Lord, haste
to day when my face shall recite, the clouds be

(06:56):
rolled back like a scroll, the trumpet shall sound, and
the Lord shall descend. It is well, It is well
with my soul. Are you ready for the returning of
the Lord? Are you ready for him? How's your relationships
with other people? Do you have things that are undone,

(07:16):
things that are things you know need to be healed? Well?
Give spiritual care, call, give us a call. We'd like
to help you. Two six nine nine nine two nine
oh one. Don't wait until it's too late, till you're
standing at a graveside, or you're standing at the bed
side of someone who's dying. Get it right now, get

(07:39):
things right today. Don't wait. You know I would like
to hear your story. I would like you to share
your prayer request with me and share with me what
you're going through. My email is share at Healing Begins
Radio dot com. Again, that's share at Healing Begins dot com.

(08:01):
When I sing this song, I'm reminded of two scriptures.
Isaiah fifty three, verse four and five says, surely he
has borne our griefs and carried our sorrows. Yet we
esteemed him stricken, smitten by God and afflicted. But he

(08:21):
was wounded for our transgressions. He was bruised for our iniquities.
The chastisement for our piece was upon him, and by
his stripes we are healed. This is a powerful scripture.
Whatever you're going through, whatever you're dealing with, Jesus faced it,

(08:47):
he went through it. He died for it so you
could be free from it. And so I want to
encourage you. It is well with my soul. Although it
seems sad, it's a great hymn of hope and encouragement.
Then Isaiah chapter sixty one, verses one through four. This

(09:10):
is a scripture Jesus read when he was in the temple.
And then he said, this scripture is now fulfilled in
your hearing. The spirit of the Lord is upon me
because he has anointed me to preach good tidings to
the poor. We got good news. You're ready for good news.

(09:31):
Jesus came to heal you. Jesus came to set you free.
He has sent me to bind up or to heal
the broken hearted. Wow, that's incredible. How many broken hearted
people in the world we live in, which today I
would say there are a ton of them. To proclaim
liberty to the captives. If you are captive, Jesus has

(09:55):
the key to set you free. To proclaim liberty to
the captives, the opening of prison to those that are bound.
There are people today, even under the sound of my voice,
that are bound to drugs, bound to addiction, bound to
the work of the enemy. And when Jesus died on
the cross, he defeated all that Jesus died for that

(10:20):
you can be free from the prison you're in now.
You can be in prison and still be free in
your heart. Okay, But Jesus came to set you free,
to proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord. This is
the acceptable year of the Lord and the day of
vengeance of our God. To comfort all who mourn. How

(10:42):
many of you listening to me on mourning right now?
Jesus wants to comfort you. He wants to be with you.
He wants you to know that He is close to
you during this time. To comfort all who mourn, To
provide guide for those who mourn in Zion, to give

(11:03):
them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning.
You see, when we're going through something and our soul
is in torment, we don't know how anything good cut
could come out of anything when we're going through and
when we're when we're going through things, and when we're tormented,

(11:25):
we don't know how anything good could come out of
what we're going through. Romans eight twenty eight says, for
all things work together for good to those that love
God and are called according to His purpose. Wow, all things,
sometimes we just can't see it. He wants to give
you the oil of joy for mourning, the garment a

(11:48):
praise for the spirit of heaviness. And I pray right
now for those of you that are carrying the spirit
of heaviness, that God would give you you a garment
of praise, that suddenly you would feel the presence of
the Lord coming into the room where you're at right now,

(12:10):
lifting the heaviness off you. That they may be called
trees of righteousness, a planting of the Lord, that he
might be glorified. You see, God wants to take people
that are broken. God wants to take people that need healing,
and he wants to restore. He wants to redeem, and

(12:32):
he wants to make you like an oak tree, a
tree of righteousness. I often say I want to be
an oak tree with a willow anointing. Have you ever
seen a willow tree in a high wind? Man, Those
trees know how to bend without breaking. The wind can
be going ninety miles an hour and that tree is
bent right over. We want to be able to be flexible.

(12:56):
We want to be able to trust God that whatever
we're going through, that He's with us. He's Goddess, and
he will see us through. Here's the other promise, verse four.
They shall rebuild old ruins. Wow, are there places in
your life that seem like there have been ruins in

(13:17):
your life that have gone on for years. Areas that
where there's been a lot of desolation in your life.
Then the Lord wants you to know that he wants
to heal you. He wants to set you free. They
will raise up former desolations, They shall repair ruined cities,

(13:38):
the desolations of many generations. So whatever you're going through,
God wants you to know he loves you. He wants
you to know that it's possible to find healing for
your life. I know, sometimes when we're out there and
we're hurting, we don't want to talk to anybody. But
the thing you don't want to do is isolate yourself.

(14:00):
When you isolate yourself, you're more of a target that
the enemy can pick off. And a lot of times
the things that stop us from getting the help we
need is more like fear anxiety. What is it going
to be like if I call to get help? Well,
you know what, the author of fear is the enemy,

(14:21):
and he doesn't want you to get help. Here's why
Joel two twive says, I will repay you for all
the years the locus have eaten. God wants to bring
restoration in your life into your life. He wants to
restore you so that you can live for him, so

(14:44):
that you can go out and minister. Just because you
went through a hard time doesn't mean that you're not
qualified to work for the Lord or to minister. You know,
a lot of times things we go through because the
things that God uses to do through us to minister

(15:04):
to other people. He makes our misery our ministry. So,
in the name of Jesus, is it well with your soul?
You know, our soul affects so many things. Have you
ever heard of comfort food? That's your soul wanting to eat?
My soul loves eating way too much. I can tell

(15:25):
you that right now. I love food, and there's nothing
if you're down and depressed, there's nothing like ice cream.
Right we all love ice cream, but how many of
you know it's not always good to have a court
of ice cream in one setting? And how about I
wants to do a guy that bought a truck when

(15:46):
he was down because he was down and he went
in to smell good and he bought it. He wished
later he hadn't bought that truck because wow, you know,
because he just he didn't buy it for the right reasons.
And I've heard of people who won the lottery, won
a million dollars, two million dollars, Well within a couple
of years it's all gone. Why because their soul was

(16:08):
a mess. They didn't know how to steward the money
they had, and therefore when the money came, it went
like water. So your soul will affect every area of
your life. It will affect you. If you've gone through
a lot of rejection, then you will have a hard
time with relationships with other people. You'll have a hard

(16:29):
time because you think they're rejecting you and they're not
rejecting you. And I just want to encourage you today.
You can get healed from that, you can be set
free from that. The Lord wants to put you back
on your feet again, so you know you don't have
to suffer from that. So I don't know everything you're

(16:49):
going through. If you're looking for a couple of good
books to read for encouragement, I have them on Amazon
dot com. I have God Moments, Amazing Encounters, the Divine
in Everyday Life, and I have Jesus in the Mountains
And you can find these on Amazon dot com and
you can they're on audible book. They're on hard copy,

(17:12):
they're on kindle, and they're in Spanish, so they're right
there for you. So maybe you need something good to read,
or maybe you're looking to share something with a friend,
and so I just wanted to share that with you.
So whatever you're going through, I hope it is well
with your soul. I pray that your soul is in
good health. And I pray that your soul would prosper.

(17:34):
And I pray that you would prosper. I pray that
you would have financial breakthrough and wherever you go and
whatever you do, I want to pray for you right now. Father.
I pray for those out there right now. It's not
well with their soul. They're suffering, they're going through hard times,
they're dealing with things. They're just feel like they're at

(17:55):
the end of the rope. Lord, and I pray you
would reach out and take them by the hand. Lord.
I love Isaiah forty one, verse thirteen. It says, I
the Lord will take you by your right hand and
will walk with you. And I pray that you would
walk with those folks that are suffering, that you would
take them by the right hand, that they would know
they're not alone, and that you are with them. Isaiah

(18:18):
forty one ten. Fear thou not, for I am with thee.
Be not dismayed. For I am thy God. I will
strengthen you. Yea, I will upheld you with my righteous
right hand Psalm one twenty one. I will lift up
my eyes to the hills whence cometh my help. My
help cometh from the Lord, maker of heaven and earth.
Oh Lord, I thank you, Psalm ninety one. He who

(18:40):
dwells in the seecret place of the Most High shall
abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say
of the Lord. He is my refuge in my fortress,
my God, and him will I trust Psalm twenty three.
The Lord is my shepherd. I shall not want. He
maketh me to lie down in green pastors, eatth me

(19:00):
beside the quiet waters. He restoreth my soul. He leadeth
me in passive righteousness. For His namesake. Even though I
walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I
will fear no evil, for you are with me. Your
rod and your staff. They comfort me. You prepare the
table before me in the presence of my enemies. You

(19:21):
anoint my head with oil. Surely, goodness and mercy shall
follow me all the days of my life, and I
will dwell in the house of the Lord forever. Oh Lord,
I thank you that you are the good Shepherd. You
are Jehovah Rohu, God my Shepherd. You are Jehovah Shama,
the Lord who is near. You are Jehovah Jihrah, God

(19:42):
our Provider. And I pray that you would be all
those things for those that are listening. You are Jehovah Rathe, God,
our healer. You are Jehovah Nissi, God, our banner. And
your banner over us is love, because you said Lord
and John's three sixteen, for God so loved the world

(20:03):
that he gave his only son, that whosoever believeth on
him should not perish, but have everlasting life. Are you ready?
Are you right with God? Brothers and sisters. If you're
not right with God and you need to rededicate your
life to the Lord, pray after me. Say Lord, I
rededicate my heart in my life to you. I ask

(20:27):
you to forgive me of my sins. Come into my heart,
be my savior, fill me with the Holy Spirit, and
teach me how to walk with you each and every day. Hallelujah,
Thank you Lord, Thank you Lord. Yes, Lord, I just
pray for all those Lord, I proclaim over everybody that's
listening the name of Jesus, that name that is higher

(20:50):
than any other name. That at the name of Jesus,
every niece shall bow and every tongue shall confess that
Jesus Christ is Lord to the gloe glory of God
the Father. I proclaim for those that are listening, I
proclaim the name Jehovah Raphae, God, my healer. You said

(21:10):
in the Word that whenever you send out your word, Lord,
you said you sent the power to perform it. And
I pray that as my words go over the airwaves
and as people listen to this later, that your healing
power would go with my words and touch every person. Lord.
Right now, I specifically pray for people that are dealing

(21:31):
with a lot of physical pain. Right now, in the
name of Jesus, we bind this spirit of pain, command
it to go and re release healing in peace over you,
in the name of Jesus. Healing in peace over you
now in the name of Jesus. And I pray for
those experiencing mental pain and anxiety that can be just

(21:53):
as hard to deal with this as physical pain. Lord,
I pray in the name of Jesus, that every anxiety,
every fear would be broken. In the name of Jesus,
that wherever people are at, wherever they're at, whatever they're doing,
your peace and your love would surround them and envelop
them like a cloud. Lord, I thank you said I

(22:15):
will never leave you, nor will I forsake you. And
in the name of Jesus, I pray that there would
be a new realization Lord, that we are never never alone.
And Lord, I wind up by saying, thank you for
being the healer of our souls. Lord, I thank you
that you want us to prosper and you want us

(22:36):
to be in good health, because that's who you are.
The Lord. We thank you for it in the name
of Jesus. Well, may God bless you, May he keep you,
May He cause his face to shine upon you. May
He be gracious to you and give you peace. And
may you always know you are never alone. Leave you

(23:00):
