Speaker 1 (00:06):
Good morning everyone. I want to welcome you to Healing Begins.
My name is Pastor Gail Krak, and I'm glad you've
chose to join me this morning. I'm going to talk
about my recent mission trip. It was in August and
we went to Costa Rica. I had a team of
(00:26):
six people. I took Pastor Jeremiah with me. I took
Sarah Bethany, and I took with me Vera, and I
took Michelle and we went to Costa Rica. We have
a very specific mission we do when we're down there,
and I can't just take anyone because of the type
(00:47):
of mission that we go on.
Speaker 2 (00:49):
And so.
Speaker 1 (00:51):
I'm going to go through the thirteen days mission report
with you, and I think you're going to find it
interesting because I've entitled our time together the Clash of
Two Kingdoms, the Clash of two Kingdoms, because when we
go down to Costa Rica and the other trips we
make are in Honduras, we see literally the clash of
(01:15):
two kingdoms, the Kingdom of Darkness clashing with the Kingdom
of light. God's kingdom clashing was Satan's Kingdom. And depending
where you're at, you can really see that demonstrated in
a physical way. So the first day we arrived in
Costa Rica, the first thing we did is we went
(01:36):
to the church called the Harvest.
Speaker 2 (01:39):
And so I've been visiting.
Speaker 1 (01:42):
I've been visiting Costa Rica now doing mission trips for
the past nine years, one time every year, sometimes twice,
and one of the churches that I go to is
called the Harvest. This church has kind of adopted me,
so to speak. They like to say that they're my
home church when I'm in Costa Rica. So really nice church,
(02:04):
lovely people, and they made me a part of their
church this last trip and actually made me a pastor
related to their church and gave me a pastor's license
in Costa Rica. I have one in Honduras too, or
the Casadedios Church Network because of the nine years of
work I've done with both networks, and so they recognized
(02:27):
me in both countries. And so we spent the afternoon
of the Harvest. Was an incredible time with the church.
The Holy Spirit spoke and moved powerfully. Every team member
got up and spoke and shared a word, and every
team member helped pray for people that want prayers. So
anyone that goes me on mission trips. Got to be
(02:49):
able to pray for people, got to be able to
be willing to get out and get up and give
a word from the Lord and speak. And so sometimes
people feel really intimidated by that because people will say
to me Will, I'm not a speaker, I can't speak. Well,
everyone that goes with me on the trip speaks. And
so right after that, on a Thursday, we traveled to Pavas.
(03:13):
Pavas is a gang area and a really bad area
of Costa Rica where the gangs hang out and there's
a lot of gang violence. So we go to the
Lion of Judah Church there and we see Pastor Christian
and Jessica and the staff at Pavas and we go
to refuge One. Refuge One is where they have rescued
(03:34):
men and women from gangs, and refuge One is where
the men stay in Cairo's house with Jessica is where
the women stay. And so we went to refuge One
and visited with the people from the past that we
knew that came out of the gangs, that we had
helped lead to christ the previous years, and so it
(03:55):
was really fun and that we ministered in the service
and the Holy Spirit always moves and power. And you
talk about people want in prayer, people line up for
prayer a man. I think the church is about one
hundred and fifty people and about everybody wants prayer, and
so our team was busy annoying people with oil praying
(04:16):
for them. And when we're doing this, we see demonic
manifestations too, because sometimes people will come into the church
that are into witchcraft and different things like that, and
when they come up for prayer, they manifest, the demons
come out, and sometimes people are screaming. It just depends
on the situation. But this is our fourth year. This
(04:38):
was our fourth year helping Pastor Christian with Extreme Camp.
Now you might say, well, what's extreme camp. Well, that's
a very good question. I'd like to share that with you.
Extreme Camp is where Pastor Christian takes forty fifty sixty
kids away from the drug lords and we bring them
to a separate location and we give them an extreme
(05:01):
God experience where we see them come to know Christ,
get filled with the Holy Spirit, and free from their demons.
If you ever want to see a clash of kingdoms,
go to Extreme Camp. You can only get there by
invitation only. So this was a very special year in
Extreme Camp because Pastor Christian and he's with christ for
(05:23):
the City. They purchased a twenty six acre piece of
property on the coast of Costa Rica and it used
to be an old Christian camp. It was abandoned. God
did an amazing miracle for him and he got the camp.
So this camp that we went to with these twenty
six kids, not twenty six, with these sixty kids. This
(05:49):
was our first time in the camp. We were the
first team to go into the city of Refuge. Now
the City of Refuge. What he plans to do is
to make it to a training and equipping center for
these kids coming out of the gangs. Let's get him saved,
get them freed up, get them freed filled with the
Holy Spirit, educate them, send them the Bible college, send
(06:13):
them out as preachers of the Gospel. Turn these kids
lives around and then so affect Costa Rica. So in
this particular Extreme Camp, it was an amazing trip. Actually,
on the way down, two vans broke down and the
police came and captured one of the guys in one
(06:35):
of the vans that had a worn out for his arrests.
You might say, well, you travel with people that have
a worn out for their arrest. Yeah, they need Jesus,
they need to change their life. And so we were
taking sixty kids for the first time to the City
of Refuge, and I want to thank the donors of
Spiritual Care for donating the bunk beds the kids would
(06:59):
stay in as in the City of Refuge, and so
it was very spartan. So in other words, the camp
was very bare. It's just now being cleaned up and
being made ready so you can stay in it. And
so these sixty kids came. Some of the kids, four
or five of them, were from one of the worst
(07:19):
cartels in Costa Rica that has greatly feared and a
number of the kids that were there had hits out
on them. So in other words, they left the gang
and because of that, the gang will send.
Speaker 2 (07:33):
An order out to kill him.
Speaker 1 (07:34):
But the thing is this, the gang knows Christian and
they said, if you stay with Christian, we're not coming
after you, but if you leave him, we're going to
come after you. And last year, I think we saw
six kids that we worked with assassinated. Further faith, we
heard about it later after we got home, so we
got into the city of refuge and the kids were
(07:57):
all gathered. We had a crazy.
Speaker 2 (08:03):
Demonic thing happened while we were there.
Speaker 1 (08:05):
Somebody brought a kitten and there was a ladder and
the latter accidentally fell and killed a kitten. It was crazy,
But it came time for service, and Christian asked me
to get up and preach the gospel. So when you
preach the gospel in Costa Rica, man, you're right up
front with him. Who are you going to serve? You're
(08:26):
either going to serve Jesus or Satan? Which one are
you going to serve? And I said to them, you
have a choice to make. Who are you going to serve?
And you know what, I say that to whoever's listening today.
Who are you gonna serve? You have a choice God
or Satan. I've read the end of the book. We win,
(08:47):
Satan loses. We're on the winning side. Jesus won the
victory over two thousand years ago. And so when I
was saying you need to make a choice, who are
you going to serve? All of a sudden and a
young man jumped up and ran to the altar, And
then another man jumped up and ran to the altar,
and before you knew it, all sixty kids walk forward
(09:09):
to make a decision for Christ. Now that's incredible right
there in and of itself, because there's a high cost
to accept Christ when you come out of the gangs.
They know it could mean their life.
Speaker 2 (09:21):
And so sixty kids accept Christ.
Speaker 1 (09:25):
And then we began to pray the witchcraft off them,
because every kid has a witch You know, if you've
been in witchcraft, Luigi board, seances and all this stuff.
When you come to know Christ, you have to renounce
that stuff. Otherwise the demons are still connected to you
and they can actually manifest through you if you've been
involved with that stuff in the past. And so as
(09:48):
we began to pray for these kids, kids began manifesting.
Some kids were screaming. I mean, we had manifestations going on.
We had literally had the clash of two kingdoms going on.
It was an incredible clash. And so we prayed those
kids through the victory. We helped them to renounce what
they were into. They got filled with the Holy Spirit,
(10:11):
and they went from being demonized to worshippers of Christ.
I mean, we were doing the work of the Gospel.
Jesus told us at Luke nine to one to heal
the sick, cast out devils, and raise the dead. Jesus
told his disciples, that's your ministry. And so even Jesus
had Mary Magdalen on his staff, who he cast seven
(10:33):
devils out of and later became one of his biggest supporters.
And there was another girl there at extreme camp that
was just screaming under demonic influence, and we helped her
get free. And the next day, when I'm praying for people,
she said, can I help you pray to because now
she's filled with the Holy Spirit. Now she's been set
free from the demonic and now she wants to serve God.
(10:55):
And so kids go through a tremendous change and they
leave the gang and they're put in either refuge one
or refuge too. That's where they go, that's where they're put.
And so the kids literally have to leave their whole lifestyle.
They have to leave the gang, and they have to
get new friends, and they attend church, and they have
(11:18):
to learn about God, and they have to learn about
the Holy Spirit and about the Word of God. And
I'm gonna say, if you have gang violence in your city,
this is one of the only true ways to solve it.
You've got to give those kids an extreme God experience.
Why you can't solve gang violence by taking their guns.
You solve gang violence by changing their heart. When they
(11:42):
change their heart, they give up their guns, they give
up their drugs, they give up their lifestyles. That's how
you change gang violence. But a lot of people want
to believe that all roads lead to Rome today and
they don't. There's only one way to Heaven that is
through Jesus Christ. Jesus said, I am the Way, the
truth in the life. No man coming under the Father
bye by me. So we spent we spent approximately three
(12:05):
days in the city of refuge Man.
Speaker 2 (12:07):
We had a great time.
Speaker 1 (12:09):
We had a super time with those kids, saw God
do amazing miracles in extreme camp.
Speaker 2 (12:15):
And then we went from there to Reina Saha.
Speaker 1 (12:18):
Reina Sahara is up in the mountains, three thousand feet
up in the mountains, and there's this a rehab that
houses in between thirty and forty young girls between the
ages of twelve and seventeen that have been rescued from
sex trafficking, drugs, and prostitution. And so out of anybody
(12:40):
in the world that's allowed to go in there. There's
only two teams that are allowed to go in there.
That's the Spiritual Care team from Hastings. We go every year.
We work with the forty kids, We work with the staff.
They use our children's material. This is an official Costa
Rican rehab. So we go every August because and every
August there's a new set of girls. There's a turnover
(13:04):
and there's new girls that we go in and we
teach some of the same things to the girls. And
so we saw God move amongst the kids. I mean
there was me and Jeremiah and the rest of our
team as ladies. And so when we're in Rena Sarah,
it's very very strict. You're not allowed to take pictures.
You're not allowed to touch the kids, women or men
(13:26):
unless the girls want to hug from one of the
other girls and us men always stand back into the background.
But we do lead some of the teaching in the
personal ministry with the kids. But when we minister the
kids individually, there's usually three people in the room at once,
and then there's that child who's sitting in the chair
in front of the team talking to them, and we
(13:49):
use the prophetic, We use the in Christ statements, and
the Lord often gives us words from the Lord for
them to help them. So our time in Raina's there
was amazing time and rain It's there. And then we
traveled from there and we went to Rehab with Maddy Liliana.
You might say what's rehab? Rahab was a ministry in
(14:10):
San Jose, Costa Rica. The ministers to the prostitutes working
on the streets of San Jose.
Speaker 2 (14:16):
So so many.
Speaker 1 (14:19):
Of the women that are working in prostitution were given
in by their fathers. Their father sold them into prostitution.
So twenty four girls, no, twenty five girls, twenty five
girls came off the street to talk to us, and
so we did a couple of group exercises with them.
We did the shield, we did the hooks, We talked
(14:40):
to them about the Lord that at the end we
offered any of you want prayer. They all raised their hand,
they all wanted prayer. So we split up into two
teams of three, and then a girl would come and
sit down with these team and we would talk to them.
And the one girl that talked to me really really
got to me. She said, you know, she said, I'm
(15:02):
living with a guy that bought me and I have
two kids and I want to get free. But she's stuck.
She's stuck in the prostitution, right, She's stuck in that
line of work. And Mati was working on building a
refuge place up in the mountains of Costa Rica that
will house girls, ladies coming out of prostitution, will help
(15:24):
them escape because you know, once they escape, then their
owners want them back, and then we'll try to find
them and get them back.
Speaker 2 (15:31):
So it's serious business.
Speaker 1 (15:34):
And so I spent I spent time at rehab with
my team. The team did a great job. I think
five of the girls made decisions for Jesus Christ, which
was amazing.
Speaker 2 (15:45):
And then along with that, Mati came to.
Speaker 1 (15:49):
Meet with me at the base and she drove up
in her big truck, This little Spanish woman driving a
big truck. I get a kick out of that. And
she said, uh, I want to tell you about something
I'm doing. And she said, in November, we're having a
meeting and it's all the leaders of Latin America that
(16:10):
are that are fighting the war against sex trafficking. She said,
eighty to ninety leaders are coming. And she said, I
want you to come. I want you to come to
my meeting. And she said, I want you to teach
on spiritual warfare and inner Healing. I said, what, I said,
where's it being held at? She goes, Send Salvador. Go wow,
(16:32):
I've never been to San Salvador. And Pastor Jeremiah with me.
He said, Gail, you better take that invitation. So actually
I did. I accepted the invitation to go to San Salvador.
Somebody's already paid for my ticket, someone's already paid for
the food.
Speaker 2 (16:47):
And she wants me to do.
Speaker 1 (16:48):
Two workshops where all the other workshop leaders get one.
And I told her, hey, I'm the new kid on
the block, and she just smiled. And so I'm putting
those workshops together on spiritual warfare and inner Healing. The
great thing about this is I get to talk to
eighty ninety leaders, So we're reproducing myself in eighty ninety leaders,
(17:11):
and then I get to be Then I get to
meet the leaders. I also get to hear all the
other teaching and training and equipping that's going to go on.
Speaker 2 (17:21):
And so.
Speaker 1 (17:23):
One thing I'll say about a mission trip, it really
does help the spiritual care team. It bonds them together,
it gives them confidence, more, more confidence the minister to
things back here in Michigan. I mean, amazing things happen.
So we spent a great time in rehab and then
we went back to the Harvest again to minister to
(17:44):
the church, and the Holy Spirit moved in such power.
So the Harvest they have girls that do like dancing
up front of the church, a lot of the Latin
American church that have it. And while they're really dressed conservatively,
they're dressed in white. It's just so beautiful. And all
of a sudden, in the middle of the dancing, one
of the girls just fell down under the power of
(18:06):
the spirit, and I realized that the Holy Spirit was
moving in great power. And men, we saw God move,
I mean God touched a lot of people there. Then
we also held a pastors conference where we took twenty
two pastoral couples away up in the mountains to a rehabit.
(18:26):
We did a conference with them. It was amazing. We
did a conference focused on healing and forgiveness, working with
the pastors. Several pastors, several pastors that were there that
had issues. When I say pastors husband and wife, they're
called them pastors and pastordas.
Speaker 2 (18:45):
So they're both pastors, and so there were several that.
Speaker 1 (18:48):
Had physical problems going on, and we saw God heal
them instantly when we had prayer with him. We just
spent time ministering to the couples that we brought into
the mountains.
Speaker 2 (18:59):
I'm still thankful. You know, we don't.
Speaker 1 (19:02):
Spend local money abroad. People have to give money to
missions at Spiritual Care for us to do this valuable work,
and so the pastors just found this time a time
of refreshing. Then we went down into Karpi of the
garbage Dump and we met with Mary Alos.
Speaker 2 (19:21):
We checked in on our projects there.
Speaker 1 (19:23):
Interesting thing enough, we spent time visiting with her in
a little barbershop in downtown and the garbage dump, and
people were really looking at us. You know, we're really
out of place. But the projects on the garbage dump
is doing great. We have a healing center there called
the Living Water Center that is doing great.
Speaker 2 (19:43):
So we just kind of powered through for two weeks.
Speaker 1 (19:46):
The majority of the team stayed only for a week,
but Pastor Jeremiah and I we stayed to the end
of the trip. Now, Pastor Christian told me he wants
to write two books how to give free from addictions
and he's writing a book called His Personal Testimony. He
also asked me to collaborate with him on the book
(20:08):
and to let you know who are listening. I have
a new book coming out in October called The Heart
of Healing, because God's heart is to heal you. It's
on Amazon dot com. You can find I have a
