Speaker 1 (00:19):
Welcome to Healing Begins. My name is Pastor Gail, and
I am glad you are listening. And so the themes
that I choose for my programs are based on my
time in prayer. My time up early in the morning
are usually about four thirty am. The Lord will put
a topic on my heart. So I'm really hoping these
(00:40):
programs are encouraging. You know, you're going to hear this
either on WOFM one o six point nine. Are you're
going to hear this on the Healing Begins podcast channel,
which you can go to Spotify, Google, Amazon, Healing Begins
podcast channel is there. We have like one hundred and
thirty nine podcasts. But you can also listen to this
program later also on the Wood Radio website underneath podcast
(01:06):
Healing Begins. And so the topic that I've really chose
to talk about is what is life all about? I
don't know if you've ever done this. It's kind of
fun to do. Go to a mall or go to
an area and watch people just running about their day
to day life doing what they do. Just watch them
as they're going to the store, as they're on the road,
(01:30):
you know, going shopping, and what they're focused on and
what they're doing and where they're going. Have you ever wondered, God,
what are you doing in that person's life? And so
maybe you're out there and you really don't know what
life is all about and you just feel lost. And
so I want to open this time with prayer and
asking God to guide our time together. Lord, I pray
(01:52):
for those that are wondering what is life really all about?
So Father, in the name of Jesus, I pray that
this topic, this program would inspire hope, in peace and
confidence in what God has for each person. In the
name of Jesus. Amen, you know what I think about this?
(02:15):
What is life all about? I have to ask myself
a question. What do we spend most of our time doing?
And why are we doing it now? There's nothing wrong
with having vacations, nothing wrong having a nice house and
a nice car, But in my opinion, those should not
be our focus. You know, my Bible tells me that
(02:38):
life is all about preparing for the next life. So
we have life as we're living it right now on
earth in our mortal bodies, but one day we're going
to die, and the Bible tells us there are two
roads that we can take. Matthew seven, verses thirteen to
fourteen says, and through the narrow gate. For why does
(03:02):
the gate? And broad is the road that leads to destruction,
and many enter through it, But small is the gate,
and narrow is the road that leads to eternal life,
and few there be who find it. Now, if you're
a believer like me, and I'm a believer that most
of this life we are to be preparing for the
(03:24):
next life. And I meet a lot of believers and
they say, yep, they say to me they're going to heaven.
They go to a church to going to heaven, but
nothing in their life hardly reflects that they're preparing for
the next And there's a lot of people that say
they're Christians, but they're biblically illiterate. They don't know their Bible.
(03:48):
Why is that important? I say that the Bible is
final instructions before leaving earth. The Bible is God's love
letter to you and to me. Within the Bible is
everything contained that I need for this life and for
the next life to come. And that is why I
(04:09):
should want to read it, should want to get to
know it, should want to understand The ministry of Jesus. Hey,
I just want to encourage you. Maybe you feel like
you're one of those believers and you don't know your Bible,
maybe you don't have a church home. I encourage you
to find a church home. I don't know where you're
listening to this at or maybe it's by podcast, but
look for a good church to be a part of.
(04:32):
And you might say, well, I can be a believer
not be in church. Well, if Jesus established a church
in what she did, then to say you're a believer
and not to have a church home, I understand. Sometimes
we struggle with church, We struggle with those things. But
there is a church out there for you that you
can be a part of. You know, this scripture of
(04:54):
Matthew seven always scared me because it said broad is
the way that leads the destruction in many inners through it,
but small as the gate, and narrow as a road
that leads to eternal life, and only a few find it.
And you know there's people out there today they're living
the way they want to live and they think God
will just be okay with it. Well, God's not okay
(05:15):
with it. The scripture tells us how he wants us
to live how he wants us to walk. And so
I don't make the Bible fit what I believe. I
make what I believe fit the Bible. And so I
do my best to stay on that narrow road. This
is walking in humility and love with Jesus and making
sure my sins are forgiven and washed away, and walking
(05:37):
on that narrow road. Jeremiah twenty nine to eleven. A
great burst, for I know the plans I have for you,
declares the Lord. Plans to prosper you and not harm you,
plans to give your hope in the future. Maybe you're
one of those that you have been through so much
hard times. You're saying, where is God's plan for me?
(05:59):
Where is God's hope for me? I pray that God
would reveal hope in his plan to your heart despite
everything that you have gone through. And God says he
has a plan. You might say, I don't even know
what that is. What in the world is God's plan
for me? Well, I'm glad you asked. Jeremiah thirty three
to three. Call to me, and I will answer you
(06:21):
and tell you great, unsearchable things you do not know.
And so God makes a promise in his word that
he wants to reveal to you what his plans are
for you. And so I just really encourage you to
call out to the Lord, spend time in prayer, ask
him to reveal what his plan is for you. And
(06:43):
then there's John fourteen one through six. If there was
any scripture that told me what life is about, life
is about knowing Jesus. And so John fourteen, Jesus says,
do not let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God.
Trust also me. In my Father's house, star are many rooms.
If it were not so, I would have told you
(07:06):
I'm going there to prepare a place for you. And
if I go to prepare a place for you, I
will come again to receive you under myself, that where
I am, you may be also. And then Jesus said
in verse six, I am the Way, the Truth, the Life.
No man cometh under the Father except through me. I
(07:27):
know I've said this before. I hear this a lot
from Jesse to Planets. Jesus said, he is the Way
so you can't get lost. He is the truth so
you can't be deceived. He is the life, so Satan
can't kill you before your time. And if life is
all about preparing for the next My Bible tells me
that Jesus has gone ahead of me and he's preparing
(07:48):
a mansion for me. And what people don't understand is
that heaven what we know and what we understand and
what we realize here. When we get to heaven, it'll
just be a continuation, but it'll only be perfect. What
you do here will depend on what you do there.
And so you want to know your Bible. You want
(08:10):
to understand who Jesus is. You want to understand the
things of salvation. You don't want to not know about
those things because those things are really important. So God
has a plan. You know two roads. What road are
you on? I pray you are on the broad not
the broad road, but the narrow road. If you're on
(08:31):
the broad road, you can get off that. Just say, Lord,
I want to be on your road. I ask you
to forgive me of my sins. Come into my heart,
be my savior. I want to walk with you Lord
all the days of my life. I will always ask myself,
is what I'm doing does it have eternal value? Where
(08:51):
do I spend most of my time? And why what
am I really spending my money on. Am I really
ready to meet Jesus? Wow? Think about your life right now,
ask this question, are you really ready to meet Jesus?
See what life is all about. Yes, it's all about
family and doing your job and everything like that. Everything
(09:14):
that we do to take care of a home and
take care of a family, it's all about that. But
life is really all about knowing Jesus Christ in a
personal way. It's not about being religious. It's not about
how much money you can give to your church, it's
not about any of that. It's about having the Lord
(09:35):
Jesus Christ in your heart as your Lord and your savior.
So what's the best way to prepare for the next life? Well,
I would say the next best way is start having
a devotional time. Start spending time with the Lord. Make
that a priority in your life. And you might say, well,
(09:57):
you don't know how busy I am, And my response be,
I don't care how busy you are. This is something
that you cannot do. You gotta do this because you're
preparing for the next life. Maybe your devotional time can't
beat when minus because of the job you're working, or
because you've got kids around you all the time. But
(10:18):
the Lord will show you how to develop a devotional time,
get a Bible that you can really understand well, and
maybe get a devotional book to go along with it.
You know what, I'm in Grand Rampas. I like to
go to Baker book House. This is not a plug
for them, but I like to go there and I
like to look through all their devotional books and everything
(10:39):
they have. You know, bookstores are fading away one by one,
and that's a very nice bookstore, and I tend to
go there and look and find books. I like to read,
books I like to read along with my bibble. You
could get one of my books. I just got done
writing two books. Actually I have three books. If you
look up Gail G. A. L. E. E. Kroc KRGT
(11:02):
on Amazon, you'll see I have three books. I have
The Unexpected Call about my Trip to nine to eleven,
and that's where I tell stories of going down into
New York City and there's fifty amazing pictures in the
middle of the book. You got God moments, amazing encounters
with a divine in everyday life. A lot of people
(11:24):
are using that like a devotional book. Twenty eight chapters,
twenty eight stories about encountering the Lord and encountering people.
And then you have Jesus in the Mountains that's just
coming out. And you can get the books on audiobook,
you can get e book, you can get hard copy,
so you know Jesus in the Mountains and God Moments
(11:46):
would be great books for you to use as a
devotional along with your Bible, or maybe you're going to
go to Baker Book Housing or a Christian bookstore near
you and pick out a book for yourself. Emotional time
is very important. Then I would say, get to know
the Bible. Don't just read it for information, read it
(12:10):
for transformation. Don't worry about how quick you get through
the Bible, but just start reading the Bible and digest,
think about imeditate on what you're reading. I would suggest
you read the Gospels first, Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John.
(12:30):
That's what I would encourage you to read about the
life of Christ, his ministry, what he did, what he said,
where he went, and the miracles he performed. And then
I would read Acts, which is the early Church, and
Romans and Corinthians, the Letters of Paul, which are on
practical Christian living. I would go through and I would
(12:52):
read those things because understanding those things are what is
important to prepare us for the next life. You need
to be prepared for this life, and you need to
be prepared for the next life. And then I'd find
a good church to be a part of, maybe a
small group, a church that's on fire for Jesus that
(13:13):
you know, there's some bigger churches that do a great
job out there and they have small groups. You could
maybe be a part of a small group Bible study,
and or maybe find another believer that you know as
older in the Lord and more advanced in understanding the
Lord and walking with him because he'd done it many
(13:33):
more years. I encourage you to get with him and
do like a Bible study with the guy. You know,
when I was growing up, my next door neighbor was
a high school principal. His name was Harold. I did everything,
I mean, I bailed hay with him. I know I
irritated him doing that as a young man, because he
would say, don't drive the bailer too fast, You're gonna
(13:55):
shear a pen. And you know, I think I shared
three or four pins before I learned really how to
drive that run that bailer. And then we'd go fishing
together back in the Rabbit River. Some of you might
know where that's at, and we'd be walking by the
bank of the river and he'd point down there and
he goes, there's a there's a northern pike down in there,
(14:17):
and I go, no, there's not, and he goes, es,
there isn't. He would take his fishing pole over the
edge of the bank and dip that lure in there,
and the pike would come out and hit it, and
he'd pull up a twenty two inch northern pike. And
then he'd take me out to the field where lightning
and struck and he would show me where the lightning
turned the sand into glass. And everything he did was
(14:37):
about the Lord. He saw the Lord in everything, and
the best times I had with him. I know this
is gonna sound funny. The best time I had with
Harold Lampin was sitting on the back of a hay
wagon after we got done stacking all the bales in
the barn, and it was a hot day, and each
one of us had a sprite, and his wife Leona
(14:59):
brought got us an ice cream cone, and we had
ice cream and sprite on the back of the wag
and that was some of the best times I had
where I really grew in the Lord. And then and
I went to church with this guy too. I mean,
he was amazing. I would kneel in the days when
we used to have a prayer meeting on Wednesday night,
(15:22):
you know, and we would kneel on the pew, and
I would kneel beside him. And now we know what
I did. I listened to him pray. He prayed amazing prayers.
He was so intimate with Jesus. Then I thought, later, man,
I hope someday I can be like him. I hope
someday I can pray like him. I just got next
(15:43):
to him and I listened. He was so encouraging to me.
You know, he saw things of me that other people
didn't see, and he spoke those things into my life.
And then when I would later I went to Bible College,
and then I had other people that were like a
mentor to me. I had Wayne Benson. He was the
(16:04):
pastor of Grand Rampis Versus Sumbly of God. Now he
didn't have a chance to mentor everybody, but I went
to his church. I listened to his messages. They were
so touching, so inspiring, and I really really grew in
the Lord.
Speaker 2 (16:18):
And later on the radio and on the Internet, I
would listen to Kim Clement prophet Kim Now and I
know everybody, maybe he's not your cup of tea, but
I really used to love to listen to him sing
and play the piano and sing the song of the Lord.
Speaker 1 (16:39):
And so me, life is all about preparing for heaven.
That's what life is about. And so I want you
to I want to encourage you to watch a video.
You can find this on YouTube. It's called Within the
Gates by Rebecca Springer. Within the Gates by Rebecca Springer.
(17:01):
This video means a lot to me. So when Harold
was dying, he said, hey, I got something special for you,
and he went into the house and he come out
and in his hands with a little green book and
he said, I want you to have this little green book.
And I didn't think much of it later, but he
said that book had met so much to him and
(17:24):
brought so much encouragement to him. That was the book
he read beside the Bible. He loved the book. And
later I opened that book up. It was like one
hundred and thirty five years old. It was the story
of Rebecca Springer's near death experience. And later somebody put
that on YouTube where they read it and there's a
(17:47):
video playing with pictures, and I got to tell you,
it is so encouraging when you feel like you're lost
your focus. That is so encouraging. Just to why I
watched it just the other day again, I lay down,
I put it on my cellphone and I just listened
(18:07):
to the thirty minute story about Rebecca being in heaven,
what she saw, what she did, who she met. I mean,
it was beautiful, really super enjoying it. And so life
is all about preparing for the next. Life is all
about also getting through the present struggle you're in. The
(18:30):
Bible says if you speak to that mountain and say
be thou removed and cast into the sea, and believe
in your heart and not doubt doubt, it will be
done for you. Some of you are facing mountains that
are standing in your way that you don't know how
you're going to get around them. And I just encourage
you that Jesus can remove any mountain that is standing
(18:53):
in your way. He can take every path that is
crooked and straighten it out. So life is all about
knowing Jesus as Lord and Savior. Now you might say, well,
I got a lot to learn. You know how you
learn day by day, day by day, little by little.
You don't worry about what you don't know. You just
(19:14):
begin to read, You demand to pray, You find a
good church to attend, and you begin to prepare and
grow spiritually. So someday when you go to the next life,
you're ready. So let me pray for you, Lord, I
pray for those that are really wondering what life is
all about. Lord, we know life is all about you.
(19:34):
It's all about helping our family and kids go to
heaven someday with us. It's all about preparing for the
next life. Help us, Lord to grow in our faith. Lord,
I love Philippians one sixth. He who has begun a
good work in you, he will bring it on the
completion of the day of Christ Jesus. I am glad
(19:57):
you are faithful to bring under completion to the Day
of Christ Jesus, the work that you've called me to do. So, Lord,
in the name of Jesus, I pray for each listener
right now that they would be encouraged that they can
finish the work you've called them to do because you
(20:18):
are with them and you're continuing to work in them.
So Lord, I thank you that you're good. I thank
you that you're loving. I thank you that you're kind.
I thank you that you're always there, no matter what
day or night. And Lord, I pray today that in
the darkness you would be a light shining so that
(20:39):
people could reach out and see that light and get
back on the right path. So Lord, help us to
learn what it means to walk with you. Lord. That's
not always the easy day in the world. And what
we live, we can get mocked, we can get ridiculed
because we want to walk with Jesus and we want
to live the way the Bible says we are to live. Lord,
(21:03):
we thank you for our Bibles. We thank you Lord
that the Bible is God's word to us. It is
the inspired, infallible word of God. Help us to get
to know our Bibles. Thank you for your word. I'm
reminded of the scripture that says Thy word, have I
hid in my heart that I might not sin against thee.
(21:25):
So Lord, I pray that each person would hide your
word in their hearts. I pray that these person would
know that you love them and that you care about
them and that you're with them. So, Lord, as we
walk about the path, as we go down this life,
help us to be prepared to one day stand before
(21:46):
you and hear the words, well done, thou good and
faithful servant. Oh Lord, I thank you. Send the angels
out right now to minister to those that are listening. Lord,
I just release healing to those that are listening right now,
wherever they're at, whatever they're doing. Lord, let your presence,
(22:09):
let your healing, let your power, let your annoying touch
each one. In Jesus' name. Amen, Hey, I'd love to
