Speaker 1 (00:00):
Here we are. We're live and local.

Speaker 2 (00:03):
Well, when you're listening to this, you're not. We're not live.
We are local though, unless you're not. Yeah, unless you're not,
we are local. Welcome to the podcast. It's called I'm
Still Fun. I'm found. This is Jenny Hey, what up?

Speaker 1 (00:18):
Yeah yo yo.

Speaker 2 (00:19):
I think that the first thing we should talk about
and just get into it. If you're not a swifty,
it is what it is. But phall and I need
to talk about some things because I don't fully understand
certain swifty isms and what things mean and whatever. So
the first thing I needed to understand is is that
one song about Charlie XCX.

Speaker 3 (00:40):
I mean, it's hard to say, it seems like it is.
And then a lot of people are kind of the
thing about Taylor is not every song is necessarily about
one person, right. It can be about multiple people, but
you just zone it on one.

Speaker 1 (00:55):
So I know, the only thing I really know about
I don't follow Charlie closely.

Speaker 3 (01:00):
I was not obsessed with her album like so many
people were. I kind of listened to the one song
that was popular, the Apple one, but that was I mean,
but I didn't really get into her album. And that's
not a knock on her at all. I just loved
to boom clap situation. But I do remember like back
in the day when Taylor had her open for and

(01:21):
she kind of made remarks of like she didn't like
it because she didn't like being these big shows with
these big fandoms. She preferred smaller, intimate ones, which I
understand that a lot of artists have said that, but
it was kind of like biting the hand that feeds
you because Taylor was giving her this massive stage and
all this exposure. Also, now that Charlie has all the

(01:42):
number one hits, she is performing in these huge venues,
but I get it those are her fans and in
the Taylor shows they weren't her fans. Yeah, totally different
vibe with that set. A lot of people, I think
don't remember that part of time because they're like in
Charlie's song where she allegedly dissed Taylor, Yeah she didn't
really disser. She was like talking kind of about how

(02:03):
she's insecure about her and she'll never be her. But
in Taylor's song, she's like, that's not what she's talking about.
She's like, I heard when you basically did cocaine, you
talk crap about me and you laugh the fact that
my boyfriend, your husband's bandmate ghosted me. So do I
think it's about Probably at least loosely.

Speaker 2 (02:22):
Okay, because I feel like I've heard some people say
that they don't like that she's being like a mean
girl almost with a disc track, like you are so successful,
Like why do you have to do that to somebody else?
So that was the one question I had. The other
one is is I don't understand what Canceled is about
because I just like the song.

Speaker 3 (02:43):
So Canceled is basically about the fact that she doesn't
care if you cancel her friends, like she cares about
how her friends treat her and she is going to
stay friends with them, whether because it's easy to tear
people down, like and we know this, the world loves

(03:04):
to build a celebrity up just and they're just waiting
for them to do one wrong thing and cancel them.
And it's like easy to love a person when they're
on top, but it's hard to love them when they're download. Well,
Taylor's been canceled before, so she probably does look at
that like I'm not gonna like betray someone when they're
being canceled. So there are a lot of speculations on
who that one could be about. Obviously, the top one

(03:26):
is Blake Lively. Some people think it's about Sophie Turner
because she kind of got canceled briefly in the early
on days of Joe Jonas and her splitting, and Taylor
supported her. Others are like Brittany Mahomes because of you know,
she was a very big like Trump supporter, and obviously
being a supporter of anyone political is polarizing. So there

(03:48):
they could be. But it could be about all three
or just none, you know. So that's what the song
is about.

Speaker 2 (03:53):
Okay, got it? Okay, So now I have a little
clip I'm gonna play because I feel like you know
when you hear a song and you're like, you don't
really know the lyrics, but you think you're about to
know the lyrics, and so you kind of sing along. Yes, okay,
So here is opal lte and here is how it goes.

(04:16):
I thought I was going to say eating my ass
right there, and I don't know why, because I would
that's what I'm saying, Jenny. But like, as I'm starting
to learn the lyrics, I'm in my head like she's
going to say eating my ass or something, but I
know she says brother at the beginning, and so that's
why I'm like, I know it doesn't make sense, but
I kept hearing it, and that's what my thought was,
She's gonna say eating my ass. So anyways, there's that

(04:38):
in my last My last thing is how do you
feel about the fact that is Taylor Swift is a billionaire? Yeah? Okay,
so how do you feel about the fact that she
has so many cash grabs with the millions of things
she does? Because I feel like we put a lot
of hate on the Elon Musks and the Jeff Bezos
of the world, but like, when it comes down to it,

(04:58):
is Taylor Swift not of doing the third thing. I
think Taylor Swift is guilty of a lot of things
we don't like that billionaires do. Like people got on
tour regularly about her private jet flying everywhere. Yeah, I
feel it's like kind of the same as like hating
someone's social media page then don't follow it, right, So
for me, it's like I don't even think Taylor cares

(05:20):
about the money as much as she It increases her
number of album sales. The more she releases unique releases
where this album only has one you can only hear
this track on this it sells more albums. She Taylor
Swift first of all, capitalist queen. She does love money.
I'm not saying she doesn't. Yeah, I think Taylor likes

(05:41):
accolades more than she even likes money, huh. And she
loves holding all these records. Then when people read the
records to her, she acts like she's like, oh, I
didn't even know I held that. Well, she probably does
know that because she definitely likes winning awards, So I think,
do I think it's a little tacky? Sure, but also
who then don't buy it?

Speaker 1 (06:02):
I only bought one. I didn't.

Speaker 3 (06:03):
I bought like the very first one she dropped. I
didn't go buy any of the other colored vinyls. Yeah,
I'm only but I want to support her because I
do like her in her music. So I bought one,
and that was my commitment.

Speaker 2 (06:16):
You know what's interesting, and we can be done with
Taylor Swift now. But there was like a podcast or
an article or something that was published that said that
all of these CEOs were surveyed at one point in
time and the majority like at least probably eighty percent
of them surveyed cared more about power than the money
they're making. Jeff Bezos, Elon Muss, Taylor Swift, they don't

(06:40):
need any more money now. They have money four days
and everyone their kids, their kids' kids, their kids, nephews
and niece's that everyone's going to have like a trust
fund at this point. So to think that they are
only doing it for money is kind of funny because
it's not. It is what you said. She wants the accolades,
she wants the recognition. It's like power thing. I agree,

(07:01):
So you can't I don't know. I think you can't
look at billionaires and think that they're only doing it
to gain more money. They genuinely their personality is power driven.

Speaker 1 (07:11):
It's power driven.

Speaker 3 (07:12):
Also, I think that they I think a lot of
people when they're successful like that. They can't just retire
and sit still. They are creatives and they have ideas
all the time, and they actually have their resources to
execute them. Think about people all the time. They'll have
created an app at twenty seven years old, they sell
it for however many million dollars.

Speaker 1 (07:33):
They could be done for life, but then they have.

Speaker 3 (07:35):
Another great idea, because like there are just certain people
who are like they can't stop with that, whereas you know,
us regular people, we're just like trying to figure out
if is there anything at all we can come up with, yeah,
that can help us get enough money so we can
like retire, actually retire, you know what I mean, like
in our fifties or sixties, and not have to worry

(07:55):
about money anymore, not work.

Speaker 1 (07:57):
We're dead right. I did want to break down a
little bit a couple of time.

Speaker 2 (08:01):
I was gonna say, we we should because we did
also pick what we thought would be our favorite, so
we should talk about that. On last week's episode, I
think I said opaalite, right, because it's what Travis kelcey.
I don't remember. I know what I said, but I
don't rememberhere you said. I'm pretty sure I said opait
because I said that's what Travis Kelsey said was like
the most bang in one, So I thought maybe that
would be my favorite. Yes, So what do you think?
So opal lite is my favorite? But I had picked

(08:24):
the Life of a Showgirl, and I would probably put
the Life of the Show of a Showgirl at like
three or four. I really like Opallite and I do
like the Fate of Ophelia. Yeah, I think that that
was a good choice. And I remember you saying that
you don't think Taylor is good at picking her singles.
I did say that, and I think it's a good one.
Me too.

Speaker 3 (08:41):
I will say she normally isn't good, but I think
that's her best radio single she's selected since probably nineteen
eighty nine singles because Lover was kind of a disaster
because she chose me, which is universally her most hated song,
and honestly, Lover is an album. But I immediately was like,

(09:03):
I don't like this album because it just wasn't it
for me. I liked the song Lover and like maybe
one other.

Speaker 2 (09:08):
Now.

Speaker 3 (09:09):
I think it's because I hated the singles she chose.
There are deep cuts after glow Fall, Scott Daylight is
one of my favorite songs. I actually love Lover now,
but I think that they a couple of things. I
think they oversold this album to be more hype than
it is, but it is comparable.

Speaker 2 (09:27):
To her previous albums. It is very hype, right, so
I see it a few different ways. I hate all
the hate it's getting. I think it's just everyone waiting
to turn on her. I do feel like I like
the first half of the album much better than the
second game. And although I do really like the Life
of a show Girl, it does kind of bum me
out that people pointed out it's identical to the Jonas

(09:48):
Brothers song. Cool. I know, I didn't realize that until
I haven't been on like social media barely at this weekend,
so I didn't realize that until we talked about it
on in the morning show this morning. We did like
a side by side and I was like, oh my gosh,
they are literally like the Thame And.

Speaker 3 (10:00):
I remember loving the Jonas Brothers song and it didn't
perform very well.

Speaker 1 (10:04):
But so that makes me a little sad.

Speaker 3 (10:07):
But I actually really love the Life or the Fate
of Ophelia. I love Opalite, I like the Life of
a show Girl. I'll do like that, maybe because I
love the Jonas brother song. I like father Figure. That
surprised to me. And what's the other one in there?
Eldest Daughter's Okay, I have to be in the mood

(10:27):
for her track fives usually because they're usually more vulnerable.
Elizabeth Taylor.

Speaker 2 (10:33):
Yes, I like that one too. I know, I think
I like listened to the first four songs and then
I kind of like skips the skip life of show Girl. Okay,
but I've listened to the album like a million times
this past weekend.

Speaker 3 (10:43):
My first one that I fell in love with, like
first listen I had texted you was the actually romantic yeah,
and it kind of actually made it worse for me
when everyone said it's about Charlie XCX. But I still
like the vibe of it. I don't love a lot
of the songs people are obsessed with. I don't love Canceled,

(11:06):
I don't love people are really into wish List, and
I think it's good, but it's.

Speaker 2 (11:13):
My favorite on me. Yeah, that what I didn't care
for at all, but it grew on me a little bit.
I literally can't even think of what Eldest Daughter is
about because I'm pretty sure I just immediately didn't vibe
with it.

Speaker 1 (11:22):
So I was the slowest one yeah the album.

Speaker 2 (11:24):
So that's probably why I'm not really a slower song
for Taylor Swift kind of person.

Speaker 3 (11:29):
Yeah, but I think that people are saying it's like
terrible and like making fun of really small points, saying
these lyrics are terrible, that drives me nuts. She's proven
what a good writer she is, so that that drives
me nuts. And that's not to say this is not
my favorite album she's released, yeah at all.

Speaker 2 (11:47):
Like it probably is. I don't even know if it's
in the top five, but I still like it. Yeah, Yeah,
I liked it a lot. I think that I did
try to listen. I remember what rollerblady when her last
album came out, was it The SRTOS Poets Department was
her last one, which one had antihero that was Midnights
of just kidding? It was that one. Okay, that one.
I remember going rollerblading and I didn't vibe with anything

(12:10):
pretty much at all on that entire rollerblade. And I
feel like as soon as I started listening to this one,
I started vibing with songs right away, so that was different.
But I mean, I'm not as big of a swifty,
so I couldn't tell you what my favorite albums are
or anything like that, but I definitely like this better
than other ones I've listened to right off the bat.

Speaker 1 (12:27):
Okay, that's great, that's good.

Speaker 2 (12:29):
No, it was exciting.

Speaker 1 (12:30):
So how was your weekend?

Speaker 2 (12:33):
It was good. It was kind of busy, but not really.
I mean I did a lot of stuff for the
Twin Cities Marathon, and let me tell you this story.
So I went to go cheer on the person that
I've been seeing, and I went to this coffee shop
by one of the mile markers I said I would
go to, and I get there early to make sure
I have plenty of time to grab a coffee and
go see them. And I'm waiting in line for the bathroom.

(12:56):
There's a few people ahead at me, and this guy
goes in, and this motherfucker was in. There is a
single stall only bathroom in the coffee shop for seven minutes,
and all of us are there basically grabbing coffee. So
we can then run down to this parkway to cheer
people on. And there's very limited time obviously of when

(13:17):
you're you think your runner is going to be going past.
So at one point I'm looking at my phone, I'm
looking around, I'm looking at any other vibe I'm getting
from anyone else, and the two women ahead of me,
I go, honestly, I think we should all just go
down to the porta potties at this point at the race, Yeah,
and the front the front woman goes, yeah, I'm about
to start knocking, Like, this is not the time and

(13:38):
place to be doing this. Yeah, I'm sorry. Like I
understand having the devil exit your body. Yeah, I get it.
I've been there. Yeah, but like when it comes down
to it, seven minutes is a really long time. Yeah,
it is a really long time. And you know that
there's a huge ass line waiting outside.

Speaker 1 (13:58):
I could not perform.

Speaker 2 (13:59):
No, I couldn't.

Speaker 3 (14:00):
There's no chance if even one person is waiting, I
cannot perform.

Speaker 2 (14:04):
Yeah. So anyways, literally finally after I start saying that,
and then the other woman's like, I'm literally about to
start knocking whatever, within like a minute, he came out.
That man should have had his head all the way
down to the ground and not looked at any of us,
and he just walked out with his head up.

Speaker 1 (14:19):
And he was a man.

Speaker 2 (14:20):
He was there. He was young. He was probably like
twenty to twenty five ish, so a little bit younger,
not young enough to like not understand what he's doing.
But I just could not believe that someone could do that, honestly,
and like in any other given situation, if it wasn't
for the fact that we're all trying to go cheer
Runners on. I wouldn't have cared. It's like, whatever, we're

(14:41):
at a coffee shop. You're shitting your brains out. It
is what it is. Yeah, but like we all had
places to be. Anyone in that coffee shop was going
to run or go to cheer runners on. So anyways,
that was interesting, yeah, nightmare. But outside of that, my
weekend was a lot of like boring Bland to do stuff.

(15:01):
I was excited to see all of your North Shore
stuff because I just love it so much, and I'm
heading up there with the van this week. So exciting.
I know that it is gonna be like past peak
in a lot of areas already, but there's a few
spots I know that aren't going to be quite there yet.
So I was I was it.

Speaker 1 (15:18):
It was good. It was real quick. I know you're
always looking for places to.

Speaker 3 (15:21):
Work that new Brim location because I freaking love Brim
and Uptown, but I don't go to Uptown at often. Yeah,
and I will go out of my way sometimes because
the food is so good. They have a new location
any Dina also not convenient for me at all, but
I was like, I want to go perfect for that.
They have so many little single tables that you can
and with like plugins underneath that you can tell or

(15:42):
like so people can work.

Speaker 1 (15:43):
It'll be a good spot for you. But we did.

Speaker 3 (15:47):
We Friday night after the show, we drove up to
Lutes and which is a very long drive, but we're like,
let's just get there. So we have Saturday because we
had to come back Saturday night because Dylan had to
work Sunday morning and he already took off Saturday so
we could come and we went to So there's a
girl that Jenny and I met on this retreat we
went on and her name is Reese and she takes

(16:07):
like the best pictures. They're so and they're all because
she lives in Dulute, so they're so beautiful. So I
saw her picture and I was like, I want to
go to there for a sunrise And also it's fantastic
because right now sunrise is like at seven am. You
don't have to get out of the butt crack as normal.
So I showed it to Jenny and I said, before

(16:28):
I DM her, do you know where this is? And
Jenny's like, I'm pretty sure that's like white whatever, And
so Jenny sent me a link her blog. You got
to check it out, and we've talked about it. But
it really does have great tips. And I just did
not use Jenny's blog. I just have the luxury of
having Jenny's phone number, so I just texted her thunder bites.
Someone messaged me after I posted a link to your

(16:48):
blog and said they were there based on your blog. Oh,
they literally went there based on your blog and followed
your suggestions. They didn't tell me if they had a
good experience with a Jenny, but they did. But we
get there were the first people there.

Speaker 1 (17:02):
I'm like, oh my god.

Speaker 2 (17:03):
Like I figured it'd be packed, but we got there
an hour before sunrise, and I was like, huh. I'm like,
I wonder if, like, will we be the only ones here?

Speaker 3 (17:11):
Yeah? And I start thinking it for a second. We'll
like thirty minutes go by, two girls pop up with
their fancy cameras and I already have my hideous influencer
tripod set up, by the way, not fancy camera tripod,
because I've done a time lapse. Yeah, and it's.

Speaker 1 (17:24):
Right in the center of the rock.

Speaker 2 (17:27):
Well. I like that, you know it. I was gonna say,
if you did, if you're a photographer, or anything. You know,
you got to be there early to get the spot,
to get the shot.

Speaker 3 (17:37):
So they I was like, hey, sorry, if you want
me to move it, let me know. But they didn't
tell me to move it, and I was and there's
still plenty of spaces and angles they could get. So
we're all just kind of quiet, chill, except for Olive,
who's like when the sun coming out. I went thirteen
seconds and then a guy comes up and he just
seems so surprised people are there as he gets there
ten minutes before the sun rises, and I go hey,

(17:59):
I was like, oh, sorry, my tripod.

Speaker 1 (18:00):
He's like, yeah, I'm men. I didn't know would be
a party.

Speaker 3 (18:02):
Do you know how much it took me to not go, well,
it's fucking loots In in October, so I don't know what
you expected. I literally almost said it because I was like,
what a little snarky. I didn't really to be a party. Really,
you came to one of those popular lookouts in October
in loots It and you're surprised ten minutes before the
sunrise people are here on a Saturday get fed. So anyway,

(18:25):
I was like trying to keep all of quiet because
I was like, I know people want like a peaceful,
serene vibe, but also she's six years old and she's
bored af she does not care about a sunrise, so
I was trying to walk around anyway beautiful.

Speaker 1 (18:37):
Then we went over to Oberg. Well, we did other
stuff in between.

Speaker 3 (18:40):
We went into Graham Ray, got some doughnuts, went to
the Crosby Bakery, which is ten out of ten recommend
go to Crosby Bakery.

Speaker 1 (18:46):
Then we went to swim at the.

Speaker 3 (18:49):
Hotel because it's like all all I've cared about. And
I sat like on a lawn chair and watched her.
And then we went to Oberg Trail or whatever. Packed
af so just get ready and we but everyone was
really nice and courteous. Met lots of people on the
trail saying hi, yeah, got our picks, heads up if
you're going the best spot. Like we got up to

(19:10):
the like where you start the loop.

Speaker 1 (19:12):
We went right. You can go left, but we went
right and we're like, oh, there's some leaves.

Speaker 3 (19:16):
I was like, oh God, like everything's still like kind
of green or completely the leaves have fallen, and there
were only like little pops of yellow, not a lot
of red.

Speaker 1 (19:24):
I was like damn it.

Speaker 3 (19:25):
Right when you get around you can actually see Caribou Lake.
The first that first lookout, that one had the best view.
As you kept going, you're getting closer to Caribou Lake.
I didn't even stop at a lot of those because I
peaked at a couple and I'm like, they're not better
than that first one.

Speaker 1 (19:39):
So I don't know.

Speaker 3 (19:41):
I think it was like, I'm so happy we went.
I would love to go and be able to spend
a couple of nights there and not just do it
overnight like that. It was insane busy, just yeah, prepare,
prepare for the traffic going in on our way home,
the traffic going into like Loots and into luth was crazy,
like the opposite way, and every single stop, every single

(20:04):
one because there's so many parks and stuff and lookouts,
cars all over the roads parked. I mean, it's it's yeah.
And people were making jokes. I hate to let you know,
Graham Ray, but the influencers have discovered us and they're
encroached and I'm like, yeah, get over. And we didn't
do the gondola. A lot of people were like, how
did you not? And I was like, I think the
gondola is a great option, but we wanted to hike

(20:25):
up and see.

Speaker 2 (20:25):
So did you think that Oberg was somewhat easy and
doable with olive and stuff? Okay, I just I never know,
because I actually thought the White Skyrock was harder. Yeah,
because that's a quick I wrote it.

Speaker 1 (20:39):
Well, No, I didn't read your writing.

Speaker 3 (20:41):
You just feel like it's really I honestly the way
you said it, like it's quick, hop up there. I
thought it was like literally off the side of the road. Oh,
and it's not. It was definitely like an incline. By
the time we got up to the top, we were
all kind of like a little out.

Speaker 1 (20:53):
Of breath and sweating. Yeah, but all of did it. Yeah,
we didn't.

Speaker 2 (20:57):
Carry her, so yeah, I mean it is like a
short but it is a short incline. So that's what
it is. Because I doesn't say I think it only
took like five ten minutes for me to do it.
The one I think I've only been there once. I
don't know, but yeah, I was just curious just because
what I remember of it being, oh, Pahlan just got
a coffee delivery. H look at you.

Speaker 1 (21:19):
That's what I do, Jenny. Yeah, my Uber Eats.

Speaker 2 (21:23):
I got my coffee delivery this morning, and oh my god,
and I'm still drinking it. You know, look at it,
Look at it, it's all melted.

Speaker 3 (21:30):
If I put together a list of things that drive
me crazy about Jenny, it would.

Speaker 2 (21:35):
Be so sure. It would probably be just that it is.
It doesn't even affect me.

Speaker 1 (21:40):
I am so.

Speaker 3 (21:41):
I think it's so unfair to her mouth and her
body that she does this. She gets a fucking coffee
at five amn, iced by the way, and just lets
it melt all dayn't drink it, but she'll finish it
like the most point where the ice is completely melted.

Speaker 1 (21:57):
I won't even touch it. I'm like disgusting, can't help it.

Speaker 2 (22:01):
You are a And then she'll sometimes like I put
it and they're fridge and I'm like the ice still.

Speaker 1 (22:07):
I did the monster?

Speaker 2 (22:09):
Okay, speaking of coffee, trying this, so, yeah, give a little.
What did you get? It's a caribooth, they're what are
those things crafted? Pressed?

Speaker 3 (22:18):
Yes, but I did their pumpkin one and I asked
for it to be less sweet.

Speaker 2 (22:22):
Oh that's exactly what I got, the pumpkin espresso shaker.

Speaker 3 (22:25):
Some reason they did get me oat milk, and I
don't like oat milk, so we'll see.

Speaker 2 (22:29):
Oh I love oat milk. I think it's way better
than almonds.

Speaker 1 (22:32):
It's nice.

Speaker 2 (22:34):
So let me tell you. But I'm a whole milk
ho or I'll do two percent. Yeah, I mean yeah,
I'm that's really good a basic I'm not just saying
that good. So I tried the new high protein Starbucks drain.

Speaker 1 (22:45):
I saw your video.

Speaker 2 (22:46):
Okay, so here's what I'm going to say. If you
care about macros, which basically means you count your fat,
carbs and protein intake, that's all. But if you care
about them, sure they're high in protein. However, they are high.
A lot of them are very very high and fat too,
so just know that, like you're being healthy, you're getting marketed, yeah,

(23:06):
a high protein drink, but just be aware that there
is other things. However, the one I got was much
lower in fat than the other one, so I felt
okay about it, and I really did like it. But
this is where me being me comes in. So I
get it at probably like eleven Saturday morning because I
kind of slept in a bit, chilled around the house
with a pup. I'm watching and I'm doing so many

(23:27):
things throughout the day. So at one point, I and
it was hot as fuck again this weekend, you know,
so it's starting to melt in my sun room. I
put it in the fridge. I'm like, all right, the
ice will stay a little bit steady for a little bit.
Then the next time I'm free to start drinking it
again because I got a large girl and it's still good.
But I drank it probably until like four pm. And
I do think of you. I do think of you

(23:48):
when I drink it that late, because it gets to
a point where I'm like, hey, I probably should toss it.
But I just can't fathom when you spend like seven
dollars on a drink, not drinking the whole thing, even
if it's watered down.

Speaker 3 (24:00):
It is a luxury that I am. It's kind of
like I'm bragging and I'm not trying to.

Speaker 2 (24:04):
No, I just I have to. I feel like, I
don't know, I don't enjoy it. Do you think I
enjoy this right now? As it's completely melted, I don't.
You can see little flakes floating down. It's not even
a color anymore.

Speaker 1 (24:14):
It's murk. It looks like swamp water.

Speaker 2 (24:16):
And I'll still have a few more SIPs.

Speaker 1 (24:20):
So gross.

Speaker 3 (24:22):
Okay, I don't know if I have anything. Oh okay,
I know you're not gonna watch it, but I always
try to recommend shows, so I think I mentioned last
week I had started the Tony Collette show It's called
like Hayward or Way where I can't ra.

Speaker 1 (24:35):
It on Netflix. I did not love how that ended. Whatever.

Speaker 3 (24:41):
The show Task that Jake and I are watching with
Mark Ruffalo has seven episodes, and the fifth one.

Speaker 1 (24:47):
Just aired last night. Oh my, oh my god?

Speaker 2 (24:52):
Is that on HBO? Yes, okay, so I'm good it is,
but it's like stress inducing, but it's so good.

Speaker 1 (24:59):
We also star.

Speaker 3 (25:00):
While waiting for Task, we watched the first two episodes
of the new ed Geen like Monster on Netflix.

Speaker 2 (25:06):
That's really gross.

Speaker 1 (25:06):
It is disgusting.

Speaker 3 (25:09):
I had an idea, but had no idea because I
don't like get as into serial killers as some.

Speaker 2 (25:15):
People do, and one of the worst I'd say yes.

Speaker 3 (25:19):
But I guess my I think some people they said
that they're upset because you end up having some empathy
for him at the end, a little bit, even though
he's he's messed up.

Speaker 1 (25:26):
From the very beginning.

Speaker 3 (25:27):
But I'm going to keep watching it because even though
the Dahmer one was also despicable and disgusting, I watched
that all the way through, and I think it's like
the curiosity of it, but but this is.

Speaker 1 (25:41):
Even more different. Yeah, Damer, I don't know that. Not
the ones better than the other. I want to be
very clear.

Speaker 2 (25:47):
Yea oh man.

Speaker 3 (25:48):
So those were my recent viewing recommends. And I listened
to the Ina Garden Barefoot Contessa book. I didn't know
a lot about.

Speaker 2 (25:59):
Her her journey. I don't know anything.

Speaker 3 (26:01):
And she's on the Food Network, okay, and she's like
one of the most she's up there with your Martha
Stewarts and stuff. She's very well known. I really enjoyed
her story, and she narrated her books, and I do audiobooks,
and she's kind of dry and bland. That's kind of
her character. She's like I used to kind of like
mock her show a little bit because she'd be like, oh,

(26:23):
isn't that lovely? And like it was just But anyway,
I thought it was a good read to like hear
about her childhood through how she got to be this
huge successful because she didn't have connections or things like that.

Speaker 2 (26:34):
Yeah. So the only thing that I have done recently
was I see Yourself. Yeah, well, I mean sort of.
But I started Love is Blind but got through like
thirty minutes of the first episode and turn it off
because I just I don't know, I don't know if
I'll get into this season. Are you going to watch it?
I don't know. Yeah, I'm kind of like not into

(26:55):
And I can't say this. I've watched thirty minutes of
the first episode, but I feel like nobody has a
personality care about yet.

Speaker 1 (27:00):
Wait.

Speaker 2 (27:01):
I put it on and I was like, could not
believe how fast they were speeding through the pods in
the first episode. They did seem to be going pretty quick,
and I started.

Speaker 3 (27:09):
Learned from our season. Yeah, it's been like eight episodes
in the Pods and everyone's like, there's the most boring
season ever because the pods are lame.

Speaker 2 (27:15):
And also, have you watched Black Rabbit Okay, because that's
the newer ish one on Netflix with Jason Bateman and
Jade's watching it. So I also that was another one
where I started episode one like three different times and
I still I think I finally finished the first episode
after this past week, and it does look like it's
going to be really good. I just am not in

(27:36):
a TV watching mode right now, but now that the
fucking crispy fall weather has approached, yeah, I think I'm
going to be like just cemented into my sunroom couch
and having the windows open and binge in some.

Speaker 3 (27:48):
TV I was going to see. But I know time
is so sparse with everyone. If you and Tina wanted
to like maybe come over and do like a little
chili sash, oh, that'd be so fun, and then we
could like make I can either do like a white
chicken chili or like a traditional chili with maybe like
sweetatoes and corn kind of vibes in it. But then
maybe like watch a foolish movie or something. But I
just know fall is so tight with everyone's schedule. But

(28:10):
even if it bled into like November, who cares? Oh
yeah yeah, And then I'll send a little group text
and do that and very down pallon and I just
booked our flights for Tina's wedding. All a sudden, we're
on the same ones. Are you gonna buy me a drink?
And do you want to sit by me? I can
save you the middle seat for my ro so I
have to be honest with you that I will not
be where you are because Jake is a bar God.

Speaker 2 (28:34):
I'm gonna be I'm gonna be the girl from Bridesmaids
coming up, hammered Jake's.

Speaker 3 (28:39):
Jake travels so much for his work. Now he gets
like auto upgraded.

Speaker 1 (28:44):
Day o.

Speaker 2 (28:45):
I'm so jealous. And can you find a good word
for me if there's any open spots.

Speaker 1 (28:50):
Okay, hey, I know that the seats open.

Speaker 3 (28:52):
I got a little stinky, little far girl in the
back and she needs a little space for a tum tum.
It is like a five hour flight, so I'm like,
okay with having at night.

Speaker 1 (29:01):
I don't know. I don't know if we're in comfort
or first or whatever it is.

Speaker 2 (29:03):
I don't care.

Speaker 1 (29:04):
I'm happy.

Speaker 2 (29:05):
But all right, well, I guess we won't be sitting
by each other, but we will be on the same flights.

Speaker 1 (29:11):
I'll hold your ass up in the water.

Speaker 2 (29:14):
If we God, okay, I like that. Okay, all right,
that's it, Okay, love you, love you bye. Oh wait
wait next week. Next week's episode will be a little
bit later. If we can, we're gonna do it on Tuesday.
I'll still be out on Tuesday. But just a little
later because I'm taking Monday off. Good for you, you deserve it.

(29:36):
Thank you.

Speaker 1 (29:37):
Okay, have a good week. Let me buy
