Speaker 1 (00:00):
Up to seventy eight. FOG's going to burn away to
a sunny day. They say this is at an all
time low. Brian, what is it?
Speaker 2 (00:07):
A new article I read said, which is funny because
I read it, that reading is at an all time low.
Speaker 3 (00:12):
But they mean when it comes to books, okay, not
just reading in general.
Speaker 2 (00:15):
They say the average person only read two books last year, really,
and forty percent didn't read one book at all last
year really, which is the all time low for them.
Speaker 3 (00:25):
So it's really funny.
Speaker 2 (00:25):
My wife's doing this seventy five hard thing, and I
guess part of that is reading a book, like you're
supposed to read as many books as you can. She's
already read her first book in the last two days.
What books is I don't know. She said she does
a true crime one, okay, and she said it just
got a hold of her. She actually just texted me
and said, I just finished my book and we're only
three days in. I've got to go get another one.
Speaker 4 (00:43):
Really, like an actual hard cut book.
Speaker 2 (00:46):
I walked in the other day and she was reading
her work, and I'm like, did I didn't walk into
the wrong room?
Speaker 3 (00:52):
Am I in the right house? Really?
Speaker 2 (00:54):
It's in my twenty five years with her, i'd never
really seen her read a book on a plane maybe,
but you know, as part of that set seven seventy
five hard, and it's part of it is because you're
supposed to, like, you know, focus on all like all
encompassingly being a better person.
Speaker 3 (01:08):
So you drink glass, you work out more, you do
healthy things, you read. It feeds you a knowledge.
Speaker 2 (01:12):
Yeah, and so yeah, she's I already read through the
first book, so she's already done more almost than most
people did all last year.
Speaker 1 (01:18):
Really, I and I'm trying. That's why I'm sitting here
looking for something. I bought a book that I saw
that's not actually I saw a rapper talking about and
I bought the book, actually ordered the herd one because
I normally would just put it on my kindle, my
kindle app but I didn't, and I haven't read it yet,
That's why I remember. But I saw it and I'm like, oh,
(01:41):
this guy's like, yeah, you know what, I've read this
book and it's changed my life.
Speaker 3 (01:44):
I'm like, I like life changing books.
Speaker 1 (01:47):
And I looked it up and I ordered it and
I'm right now on my Amazon history and I'm like
what is this book that I have and it's sitting
on my knife stand and I forgot to take it
on vacation with me because I would have sat there
and read it then.
Speaker 3 (01:58):
But I tried.
Speaker 1 (01:58):
Most of the books I read them inspirational, you know,
stuff that can improve my body, mind and spirit. Uh,
those kind of books, I can't. I think the last
series of books that I gave that i've read, Claire
from back in the day gave them to me, and
I think it was The Hunger Games, Okay, the hung Yeah. Yeah,
she gave me those books on paperback. It's like a
series of five books, and I'm like, man, I ain't
(02:19):
gonna read this the next thing, you know, Oh, I
can't wait for you know, number two. Because if you
if you put yourself in the right environment and you read,
you're there. You know, you're you're in in that book,
you're you know, you see what's going on.
Speaker 3 (02:30):
But that was here what fifteen? Yeah? Yeah, dude, you know.
I don't read books.
Speaker 2 (02:35):
I can only remember two books I've read my book
in my adult life. Like I had to read books
through high school and college because I had to. But
in my life, I just I my mind Wanders. I
can't stay focused, really, you only I've read one about
the Miami Hurricanes and it was a pretty solid book
about like the run through the eighties where they had
all kinds of extracurriculars going on and it was crazy.
(02:57):
And then I read a book called the Bible Code,
which is the idea that everything that's happened throughout history
and what may happen in the future is all encoded
using mathematics in the Bible, and that was pretty interesting.
That's like the Vinci Codes like that. Yeah, so I
read this. There's one now called Future Boy. It's a
Michael J. Fox memoir about his filming of Back to
(03:18):
the Future and Family Ties at the same time that
I'm interested in.
Speaker 3 (03:21):
So I might get that one to read it. I mean,
if you're gonna do the program.
Speaker 2 (03:25):
And I just bought the hard copy of Charlie Sheen's memoir. Really,
I bought a signed copy, like he signed seventy of
them with the Young Guns his Young Guns character cartoon,
and I bought one of those.
Speaker 3 (03:37):
Okay, so like I might. I don't know. Ray was
the last thing.
Speaker 5 (03:41):
Honestly, it's been a while since I read like a
full book yeah, I think that, Like, you know, the
last one that I started reading was Britney Spears' documentary
or like a memoir.
Speaker 1 (03:52):
And what was it You just happened to be at
the right place at the right time or was the
hype that it came out.
Speaker 5 (03:56):
Well, it was like Kim bought it for maybe so
so interesting and like reading it. But then I started it,
didn't finish.
Speaker 3 (04:02):
It, and then I've like, then it didn't catch it.
Speaker 5 (04:04):
No, And then I started reading like some help self
help books here and there, but it's just like then
I get busy.
Speaker 4 (04:11):
Then I'm like, Okay, well.
Speaker 1 (04:12):
You know that's what I hate when I buy. When
I get a book and it doesn't catch me. Yeah,
I feel bad because I'm wasting my money because I
know I'm not going to pick the damn book up again.
Speaker 3 (04:19):
Yeah.
Speaker 5 (04:19):
So I mean, like I feel like the last book
that I read it was called for One More Day, Yeah,
and it was about like accepting the loss of like
a loved one or like you know, like losing people
to addiction and stuff like that.
Speaker 3 (04:33):
So again it's more of a self help kind of situation.
Speaker 1 (04:35):
Now here's the thing, people, Maybe it's at an all
time low but the people that are reading books read books,
and we take their call yesterday from the lady said
she sent her mom to a book reading camp. That's
pretty crazy and it's eighty people that's already there, and
book clubs are big. Oh yeah, yeah. So I want
to find out when was the last do you? First
of all, do you read regularly? And when's the last
(04:56):
time you read a book? And if it there's one
that you recommended, or you don't read books at all,
just not your thing? Four oh seven now one nine
one o six seven eight seven seven now one nine
one on six seven XL mobile four one o six
seven live stream, social media. We want to talk about books.
Last time you read a book? Do you read them
regularly or you don't read? We get into this deep
coverge and it ends weirdly, like you're expecting it to continue,
(05:19):
and then it stops. We get in this deep conversation
A forty six Johnny's House, fifty eight right now, seventy
eighty is on high and it's going to be sunny today.
Talking about reading is at an all time low. I
want to find out when do you read? Last time
you read? Are you one of those that don't read
it all. There's a gentleman that call hung up on
him by mistake, and he said he agrees with you.
He does not he's a non reader. Yeah, I mean
(05:41):
I read a ton. Yeah, it's just not books, not books. Yeah,
but I hung up my fault brother, that was on me.
I hung up my bad from Orlando, Carlos, Good morning,
good morning. What's going on?
Speaker 3 (05:51):
All right? Carlos? You a reader? I am a reader, okay,
And how much do you read?
Speaker 6 (05:57):
Us? Last year I read a twenty books. I know
that there's people, there's people out there who.
Speaker 7 (06:03):
Who read like way more than that.
Speaker 1 (06:07):
So Carls, when you put when you put one book down,
you can just immediately go get another one.
Speaker 6 (06:11):
Well, here's the thing. I am primarily audiobook okay, okay,
So so it's like I could read. I could sit
down and read a book, but it is it's hard
for me because, like I you know, by the end
of the day, I'm tired.
Speaker 7 (06:24):
I'll fall asleep, like within five minutes.
Speaker 3 (06:26):
Oh yeah.
Speaker 6 (06:27):
So you know, audiobooks I could play all day and
you know, I could still engage in the situation, in
the conversation about them, and I still feel like I'm partaking,
and I still feel.
Speaker 3 (06:37):
Like does that count as reading? I mean, that is
that is the big debate, you know.
Speaker 7 (06:44):
But uh, but I'm here.
Speaker 6 (06:45):
I'm here to stand for for all the audiobooks.
Speaker 3 (06:47):
There you go.
Speaker 1 (06:48):
You know, I have I have the Bible read by
James ear Old Jones. But I'm like James ear Old Jones,
i gotta get to Yeah.
Speaker 7 (07:02):
That's well.
Speaker 6 (07:03):
My my first my first read that I'm reading now
is U is actually Before You Leap.
Speaker 7 (07:08):
It's a biography by Kermit the Frog Stop and it's
it's read.
Speaker 6 (07:15):
By Kermit and all the muppets join in and everything.
And my wife is listening to me, listening to.
Speaker 7 (07:20):
It, and she just gave me the sign idea.
Speaker 3 (07:22):
Yeah, I would too.
Speaker 2 (07:24):
As a Bible by James Earl Jones, I would be
thinking darth Vader's reading me the Bible the whole time,
you will, Paul of the Rebel Alliance on a trade.
Speaker 3 (07:31):
He made the huvens and the earth. The earth was out,
folk man. Darth Vader's much nicer.
Speaker 1 (07:37):
Janet from consent me, good morning's good morning.
Speaker 8 (07:40):
How are you guys today?
Speaker 3 (07:41):
Good good your reader?
Speaker 7 (07:43):
I am a huge reader.
Speaker 3 (07:45):
Okay, And how much do you read? How many books?
Speaker 1 (07:47):
Are you?
Speaker 3 (07:47):
Great? Lations?
Speaker 4 (07:48):
Well, let me put this weight.
Speaker 6 (07:50):
I got two for Christmas and I already finished them.
Good I have.
Speaker 3 (07:55):
I'm an author's lab. I'm a book book reader. Like,
I don't do audio. I don't do tablets. I've got
to have my books.
Speaker 2 (08:03):
Yeah, So do you think less of people that do
the tablets and the audiobooks?
Speaker 3 (08:06):
They're like, yes, yes, no, yes you do.
Speaker 1 (08:09):
You can tell them what you said it Janet, You're like,
I am not an audio listener.
Speaker 3 (08:13):
I'm a reader. Like those people are not real. I'm
a page turner, turner.
Speaker 1 (08:19):
I do know it's not the same, all right, you
hold on a second real quickly from deal telling them Brandy,
how many books you.
Speaker 3 (08:25):
Read last year?
Speaker 8 (08:26):
I read thirty three?
Speaker 3 (08:28):
Good loud? Do you breathe woman, goodhodness, it's for you.
Speaker 1 (08:32):
You'd be surprised.
Speaker 7 (08:33):
So I'm actually a mom.
Speaker 3 (08:34):
Of five who reading is like my escape. So anytime
I get a chance I have. I am a kindle reader.
Speaker 8 (08:41):
I don't the real thing you kindle through d I.
Speaker 3 (08:46):
Do have to.
Speaker 8 (08:47):
I have to agree that audiobooks does not reading.
Speaker 2 (08:53):
I just looked at up forty percent of people who
read say audiobooks are not reading.
Speaker 5 (08:57):
I guess because it's like basically listen to a podcast.
Speaker 3 (09:02):
All right.
Speaker 5 (09:02):
Somebody said I read at least two books per week
a week. Kayla read thirty seven books last year. Ashley
read fifty three books last year. Yes, Oh my gosh,
Tanya read eighty seven books last year.
Speaker 1 (09:20):
You ain't got time for nothing else. I can't see it.
I'm on chapter eight.
Speaker 3 (09:25):
Let's see Exo Mobile Power by Attorney Dan neelan interrect.
You need to check.
Speaker 2 (09:28):
It's a no brainer. Call Attorney Dan nel And someone
said they don't read it all. They tried and they
just couldn't do it. Last time they read a book
front to back eleventh grade.
Speaker 9 (09:36):
Wow.
Speaker 2 (09:37):
So one said they read sporadically mainly. A book has
to hook.
Speaker 3 (09:41):
Me, but it doesn't hook me. Then an, how yeah,
on that way got to hook me.
Speaker 2 (09:44):
And then someone said, read the Housemaid series by Freedom
McFadden ray.
Speaker 3 (09:48):
It's so good. That's what my wife's reading.
Speaker 4 (09:50):
Real, I think my sister reads though she finished.
Speaker 3 (09:52):
The first book in three days. And it's a series. Yeah,
so it continues on yep?
Speaker 1 (09:56):
Oh wow, all right, Well, the people that read and
like to read once it don't man ray what's going on.
Speaker 4 (10:02):
I'm a Cardi B. She's proven that she is rid.
Speaker 1 (10:04):
Or Hartley Sonny to Sonny today, I want to find
out when did you almost lose it? You're pretty mild
manned person, and something happened where you just felt yourself
about to lose it.
Speaker 3 (10:14):
And it's happened to me on vacation.
Speaker 1 (10:16):
If you've ever traveled to Mexico, once you get past
the airport and you get through customs, they opened the
door and a million time share people will attack you.
Speaker 3 (10:27):
It is.
Speaker 1 (10:27):
It's the craziest thing you've ever You need to tax,
you tax. If you don't know what you're doing, they
will pull you aside and try to sell you something
little book, everything picture. So I'm just trying to I
need to get the zone. I know. Once you get
past them, the cars are lined up and you find
out what zone you're in. I'm in zone for. So
I'm trying to get through this and the police told
me to go this way. So I went this way
and that door opening here said no, no, no, you
(10:49):
need to say no, no, no. I'm just trying to
get the zone for. You say, oh, zone for he
is right here, tuck this guy right here, right here.
I said, Hey, what's up? He goes, yeah, can I
help you?
Speaker 3 (10:56):
I see?
Speaker 1 (10:56):
Hees what's wrong with you? I said, I'm a little tight, bro,
I've been traveling all day. I'm just trying to find
zone four? Is this his own four? There's a four
on the floor right there. I'm like, I'm not asking
for the fell on floor. I'm trying to get this
zone for because that's where my car is. He said,
relax right, and I'm like, I am relaxed, man. I'm
just trying to tell you I know what you're trying
to do. I'm not trying to hear it. I'm not
trying to buy something. I've been I've been traveling all day.
(11:16):
You go, so I've been working all day and that's fine. Man,
this is on four. He goes where you're staying? And
I told him? He goes, yeah, yeah, what I said, dude,
you know what I'm tired of. I'm tired of you
harassing me, harassing you? Who's harassing you? Do you know
what the word means? Do I know what the word means?
Who you think you're talking to?
Speaker 7 (11:33):
Sir?
Speaker 1 (11:33):
I'm a broadcaster for a living. I don't know what
harassing means, and that's what you're doing to me. He goes, harassing.
Are you saying harassing?
Speaker 3 (11:41):
Now? You got to saying?
Speaker 1 (11:42):
He speaks English is the second language, right right, you know,
and he's just like, harassing is a strong word.
Speaker 3 (11:48):
Well that's what you're doing to me.
Speaker 6 (11:49):
Man.
Speaker 1 (11:49):
All I'm trying to do is get to the car.
Why don't you calm down? Why did you calm down?
It's up with the federality. I'm gonna tell you it
was over, I said. I said, is his zone four?
He goes, it's outside that door. Why did you tell
me at the beginning? Bro? I know this was his
zone four? Why do you tell me? He said, Just go?
I am going and I left. As soon as I
(12:10):
stepped out, I said, this man's gonna call the cartel.
He knows what hotel I'm saying is, and they're gonna
get me. They're gonna come and get me.
Speaker 3 (12:17):
Because he had that look in his in his eyes
like yeah, and I'm.
Speaker 1 (12:19):
Like yeah, I'm just like what just happened?
Speaker 3 (12:25):
Yeah, what just happened? I was tired and I know
what's happening.
Speaker 6 (12:30):
Ray.
Speaker 1 (12:30):
You understand if you you've done it if they come
at you, I mean hundreds of them and you're like dde, dude,
I'm sorry, No, I got a car. No, no, no,
And then she got me said zone four right there.
But what he was showing me is his zone four
on the floor, and she knew that's not what I wanted.
But he was trying to sell me whatever it is.
He's going yeah, and he said, I don't know what
it is. Harassed the big night.
Speaker 5 (12:49):
That's a big because they're like, oh, this just got
ilegally like he's.
Speaker 3 (12:55):
Like assault here. But he said, do you know what
that means?
Speaker 7 (12:58):
Yes?
Speaker 1 (12:58):
I know what it means. Means what you're doing to
me now? You harass me. I am not harassing you,
Yes you are. I'm just trying to get out of
that door and you won't let me. Do you do
I know what the word means. Do you know what
the word means?
Speaker 4 (13:09):
Now you're holding me hostage trying to get through the door.
Speaker 3 (13:12):
He gave gave me.
Speaker 1 (13:13):
It looked like that way, and I just knew he
just got on the network and said, hey, you got
African American man coming dowtain you at the airport. But
after I caught myself, and I'm like, I was just tired, man,
I was. I was tired. I didn't want it. I
was being nice to everybody, saying no, no, I don't
want that. No, no, I'm not only need to taxi. No,
(13:34):
I know where I'm going. I'm just looking for zones
for And then the door opens up. There's music playing
and there's zone.
Speaker 3 (13:42):
Paradise.
Speaker 1 (13:44):
At that point, I'm madter buy a beer at the
bar and it's like, not nine dollars by Yeah, dude,
this is dot SEC the man. You need to go home.
Speaker 3 (13:52):
Yeah, you ain't even supposed to be here, don't.
Speaker 4 (13:56):
You're ruining it for everyone.
Speaker 1 (14:00):
I mean those spot dollar bills. He said, nine dollars.
I gave him a ten. Say keep it, just keep it, Brian.
It was a two dollars beer. Okay. You at the airport, man, dag,
and you're yelling at people. I was not yelling. I
was not yelling. You're harassing me, now, sir, Do you
(14:21):
know what harassing me?
Speaker 3 (14:23):
For a living? I'm calling the federal rallies. I just knew.
I just knew they was gonna get me. I just
knew it.
Speaker 1 (14:31):
I just knew something was about to go down because
he gave me that looked like, yeah, he gave me
that signal like as soon as you get off the phone.
Speaker 3 (14:36):
Because you don't mess with the airport people.
Speaker 1 (14:38):
He wasn't an airport person at the airport, he controlled
the flow. He was a timeshare representative. I got you.
But he obviously works there, he knows people, he works
in the area of the and bringing the cops right over.
He could have, he could have. I would you know what.
I thank god once I got back to an American soil
because I just knew. We went down to the regular
(14:59):
time and I had a drink. I'm like, this is
what he's gonna get me. Yeah, oh yeah, right, that's
what he gonna get me. You're out in the community,
marked for death.
Speaker 3 (15:09):
This is it. It's about to go down. But I
was the whole play.
Speaker 1 (15:15):
I want to find out when's the last time, right
you you've maintained your cool?
Speaker 3 (15:19):
You will never maintained my cool.
Speaker 4 (15:20):
Yeah, I don't think any of us.
Speaker 3 (15:23):
Last time you lost? You talked about that one.
Speaker 2 (15:25):
I I snapped on Ever, I snapped on JJ Rice
for making it a bad joke.
Speaker 1 (15:31):
Apologize, I said, B I don't never keep my cool.
I said, come on minute.
Speaker 2 (15:38):
In fact, to keep my cord, have to have cool
to keep and I ain't even got that.
Speaker 3 (15:42):
Ray Ray.
Speaker 1 (15:44):
I will say this about you. You've done a whole
lot better. You were a ten when you started here.
Right now you're about a fool.
Speaker 4 (15:51):
I tried. I've tried my hardest.
Speaker 5 (15:53):
But we know back off, I said, warped tour. That
look came out and I was yelling. So they have
like those guardrails or whatever, and we were up close
to the stage. I'll like make it short or whatever.
We're up close to the stage, and you know how
there's like that crowd surge people like come forward and
people get trampled and it's like very unsafe. Well, this
woman there was like an opening where the guardrails were,
(16:13):
so like if you CrowdSurf, you can get tossed over
and like that's where you get back to safety. And
so this woman was watching people get pushed up against
the guardrails, get stampeded, like walked over, and she was
just standing there and some girl was like crying trying
to get over to like get out, to like get
you know, fresh air, to like save herself, and the
lady just stood there and was like, no, you have
(16:34):
to walk through the crowd, and I lost my up.
You are doing your job wrong, like you're you're to
protect people.
Speaker 4 (16:48):
Job dies. This is blood on your head because these
people were crying in the.
Speaker 5 (16:55):
Crowd to get out. I just kept thinking of like
Astra World and like all the negative things.
Speaker 3 (17:01):
I'm like, bitch, do your job, geez, plus on your hand,
your heads.
Speaker 5 (17:08):
I had people applauding me or like saying thank you
for saying that because she was literally just.
Speaker 4 (17:12):
Standing there before crying.
Speaker 3 (17:13):
Did they help her nor?
Speaker 9 (17:16):
Yeah.
Speaker 5 (17:16):
And then she got some other security guard that was
like taller than her, and I was like, okay, so
now I'm gonna fight both of you.
Speaker 1 (17:21):
No. When she called from backup already no joke, she
saw a raise. I something right about this girl. I
want to find out. When did you almost lose it?
Speaker 3 (17:30):
Oh? You lost it?
Speaker 1 (17:31):
Got a four pair of tickets to Monster Jam plus
the pit pass happening on the tenth which is this
weekend four oh seven now one nine one on six
seven eight seven seven nine one nine one on six
seven XL mobile four one o six seven last three.
Speaker 3 (17:43):
On social media, you lost it?
Speaker 1 (17:45):
Tell us the situation shared what is now in Johnny's house,
tickets and pit passes. The monster jams have been happening
at Camping World Stadium on the tenth. Let's go to
call and talk to Timothy. Hey timoth Day, what's up?
Speaker 5 (17:57):
Man?
Speaker 3 (17:58):
So when did you almost lose it? So?
Speaker 8 (18:00):
The last time I almost use it was actually at
work yesterday when a customer who called in.
Speaker 7 (18:05):
They were already heated.
Speaker 8 (18:07):
And within minutes they were yelling and cursing at me.
Speaker 3 (18:10):
Now do you do you do customer service? I do well.
You gotta get used to that, brother, It's part of
the job. Man, that was very bad at it.
Speaker 8 (18:19):
