Speaker 1 (00:00):
I want to find out what type of work or
what do you do that you're gonna have to be
in direct contact with all this heat. And I'm just
telling you my contact with heat is today will be
when I get from the building to my car. And
as soon as you open that door and that hot
air hit you in the face, you swear. You're like, damn.
And then you get in your car and so down
and you swear again because the seats are hot.

Speaker 2 (00:21):
Am.

Speaker 1 (00:21):
And then you get home and my car is not
in the garage because it's a mess. Right now, I
gotta go, damn. But other than that, I don't plan
on going back out until I absolutely have to. So
that's my uh, that's my connection. I want your connection
with the heat today.

Speaker 3 (00:36):
I have Mondays my yard weekday, and I don't have
to do it because I work for myself. Yes, but
if I don't do it, then it just stacks to
another day and the grass gets taller, and then rain's
coming later in the week, and I have things coming
up this week, so I feel like I have to.

Speaker 2 (00:53):
Do it today. What are you planning on doing it?
As soon as I get home? Yeah? Man?

Speaker 3 (00:58):
And then I mean I just I have to sit down.
Take a man, you used to get one of the
ice bests. Have you ever seen them? Yeah? Get I
like a rag that I could dip in the water
and put on. And then I literally the second I'm
done I jumping.

Speaker 4 (01:12):
I was gonna say You're lucky that you have that too,
as soon.

Speaker 2 (01:14):
As I'm finished I jumping the pool.

Speaker 1 (01:15):
Listen, man, with all the cowboy movies shows you've been watching,
what you need to do is get one of those rags,
put them around your neck, and get your cowboy hat.

Speaker 3 (01:21):
Yeah, to cut that because that's what they do. Yeah,
you know, I do have a big sun hat. Want
to a big straw hat.

Speaker 1 (01:29):
You gotta do what you gotta do. Ray, what's your
connection with the heat today?

Speaker 4 (01:33):
Honestly, not much.

Speaker 5 (01:34):
I do. I have been walking a lot, and so
like it depends if I'm going to go for a
walk today or not.

Speaker 2 (01:41):
Ask you, but I know because it's actually happened while
you walk.

Speaker 4 (01:45):
Just walking for exercise. You know what people do, the
low impact exercise.

Speaker 2 (01:51):
You have to because I.

Speaker 4 (01:54):
Like to move my boke.

Speaker 2 (01:55):
You go.

Speaker 5 (01:56):
But other than that, like the kids sometimes like to
play outside. But I'm always like, wait, how the sun
goes down a little bit.

Speaker 1 (02:02):
I was out there, man, I'm telling you good nes.
So I want to find out from you, what do
you do? Do you work outside? Do you have to
spend periods of time outside you have to go door
to door for some reason? What is your connection with
being outside in the heat today? What type of work
do you do or what do you do that you
have to be outside in dealing with this heat.

Speaker 2 (02:21):
I'm just kind of curious. We'll make a list of
those things.

Speaker 1 (02:23):
Four O seven now one nine one O six seven
eight seven seven now one nine one O six seven.
Because we want you to call so you can tell
us what you do. If you can't get through and
it's busy, you can text. Our Excel mobile is four
one O six seven. You send us that message and
we'll get it and we'll comment on that. And if
you're watching this, dude the live stream, you guys are
already talking about it, and we'll talk about it on
social media. So oh so many ways to get in
touch with us. If you're dealing with the heat, if

(02:44):
you're outside, what type of work do you do or
what do you do with it? You have to be
outside and dealing with a heat in dex of one
hundred and ten possibly today four oh seven now one
nine one o six seven eight seven seven now one
nine one of six seven. Let's find out who's dealing
with this heat on Johnny side. Feeling like one hundred
and ten outside with the heat advisory and effect, which
kind of figure out what do you do that you
have to deal with the heat like that? And let's

(03:06):
go and talk to Megan Megan. Hello, Hey guys, Megan,
what kind of what do you do that you got
to be out in this heat?

Speaker 6 (03:13):
Okay? So I have my own pet care business, so
I do a lot of dog walking.

Speaker 2 (03:18):
During the day.

Speaker 6 (03:19):
So daily, like nine am, I start and I probably
finish about three o'clock. So I'm in it all day,
in the thick of it.

Speaker 1 (03:24):
Really, I had to. I had to give me some treadmills. Hey, look, buddy,
were gonna struggle and go and take that walk and
they don't need to walk today. Now, what do you
do with what do you do with? What do you
do with their little feet? Because it's hot outside.

Speaker 6 (03:38):
Well, I try to walk in areas that mostly have shade,
but you know they're going to walk in some of
the sun. But for the most part, I find ways
to go that is, you know, we stay a little shady.
And it's funny because a lot of the pet owners
will be like, can you walk my dog today? Because
I don't want to be in the heat.

Speaker 2 (03:52):
It's just too hot.

Speaker 6 (03:54):
It you need to do it, I'll do it, Like.

Speaker 2 (03:56):
Yeah, okay, I'll come walk.

Speaker 1 (03:58):
Really, why there got to be somebody that lives close
to you, right or do they want you to drive?

Speaker 6 (04:04):
I have like, yeah, what's in my area? Like I
have a certain limit that I go to, so yeah,
and I have regular clients. So I love it. And
this is a crazy thing because I'm in the heat
so much. You know, when I go into like places,
I have a c I freeze, Like I'm always cold.
Like if I go to a restaurant and freezing.

Speaker 1 (04:20):
You know what, I'm gonna give you some love. What's
the name of your business? I'm sorry, I said, let
me give you some.

Speaker 2 (04:26):
Love on the radio. What is the name of your business?

Speaker 6 (04:28):
Oh, it's Miss Meghan's Pet Walking a.

Speaker 2 (04:33):
No, no confusion about who or what I know.

Speaker 6 (04:36):
There's no Miss Meghan.

Speaker 1 (04:37):
That's me okay, Miss Meghan. Well, thank you, and you
started to stay cool out there.

Speaker 2 (04:41):
Okay, Oh I.

Speaker 6 (04:42):
Will Thanks guys, have a great day. First time caller.

Speaker 2 (04:44):
Hey, we love you. Don't be a stranger.

Speaker 6 (04:47):
Okay, all right, thanks guys, Bye bye.

Speaker 1 (04:50):
I guess if I had that kind of money, I'm like,
you know what, I don't feel like I'm sitting there
with my dog.

Speaker 3 (04:53):
You know, I ain't feel like walking, Miss Meghan. Come
on hanging the dog right? And then it's every day
that's the schedule. I grabs a dog walks it.

Speaker 2 (05:03):
That is so cool, man.

Speaker 3 (05:04):
I mean to me, if I am on the couch
and I got legs, I can't justify it.

Speaker 2 (05:10):
Yes, I can walk my own dog, but some people
don't want to do it.

Speaker 1 (05:12):
Man, You're sitting there, called up with the dog and
he's giving that look like a hold on there, Mss Megan, Yes,
come on here, walk this dog. Okay, I love it. Hey,
you can get it. That's okay? Uh from Kasimi for now.

Speaker 7 (05:24):
Good morning, Hey, good morning Johnny, and again shout out
to rain Bryan.

Speaker 1 (05:30):
There you go, And what are you doing in this
out in this heat? One hundred and ten of what's
gonna feel like?

Speaker 2 (05:35):
What do you do?

Speaker 7 (05:36):
Well? We start off every morning we load a truck
or offload a truck which is hot into a hot
warehouse and into a hot box cart or a box truck,
and then we go deliver. We just got delivered.

Speaker 2 (05:48):
Got you know.

Speaker 7 (05:49):
We go to construction sites, so you gotta walk to sand,
you gotta walk around the painters, you gotta walk around
everybody doing construction. And these homes that are being built
for Florida stir out in the openers. No shade, no
shade it all. Yeah, So we stay hydrated. And then
after that we come back to the warehouse here in
winter Haven, we load up. We're getting ready right now
to offload a uh doctor trailer, which is like walking

(06:11):
into a hot box.

Speaker 2 (06:12):
Yeah, that's true.

Speaker 7 (06:14):
But that's all we do all day long. Listen to
Johnnie's house and deliver state wide cabinets.

Speaker 1 (06:19):
Well we'll appreciate you, man. And stay as cool as
you can because it is a beast out there.

Speaker 7 (06:22):
Okay, Oh yeah, main con turn to stay hydrated. That's
the biggest thing.

Speaker 2 (06:26):
Okay, thanks for sharing, hyrated See for the man.

Speaker 1 (06:29):
Okay from Orlando, Amanda, Good morning, Hi Amanda. What do
you do that you got to be out in this heat?

Speaker 6 (06:38):
I'm in Orlando.

Speaker 1 (06:44):
Man. Some people would say, you only dance for like
five minutes, That's what some people would say.

Speaker 6 (06:50):
Yeah, but you know, with the loading up of the
parade and all that stuff and the stepping off, it's
a lot longer than Yeah.

Speaker 4 (06:58):
Don't let it talk to you like that.

Speaker 2 (07:00):
You can tell Johnny shut up.

Speaker 4 (07:01):
Seriously.

Speaker 2 (07:02):
I didn't say. I ain't saying.

Speaker 3 (07:05):
You know what, you can tell Johnny that some people
might say, shut up. Some people not a man of
some people.

Speaker 5 (07:12):
Trying dancing and keeping a small on your face and
he's winded walking to his car.

Speaker 1 (07:18):
Don't perform radio rate, okay, just saying, Amanda, you know what.
And people appreciate you when I see you out there
dancing and I'm like, look at Amanda dance. Gola Man
brings joy. You bring joy to faces. That's what you do.

Speaker 2 (07:33):
You go ahead and thank you.

Speaker 1 (07:35):
All right, and and and stay and stay hydrated, and
don't even worry about what the people say.

Speaker 2 (07:43):
Thanks for holding on a man. You have a beautiful day. Okay.

Speaker 5 (07:47):
It's gotta be so long, knowing even if it was
five minutes, it seems like an.

Speaker 2 (07:52):
Hour and a half when you're all made up. Yes, yeah,
from not doing to my car. I seemed like what
they say.

Speaker 5 (07:59):
Somebody said, I t each hot scolds classes, so it's
like one hundred and ten in there, but when you
walk outside it's basically the same. Somebody said that I
work from home seventy degrees so they don't have to
deal with it.

Speaker 4 (08:11):
I do drum corpse.

Speaker 2 (08:13):
Oh yeah, you gotta be outside.

Speaker 4 (08:15):
Oh Yeahjohn, Oh we get a marching band.

Speaker 2 (08:18):
They started already.

Speaker 4 (08:18):
I think.

Speaker 3 (08:19):
So everything goes year round. Yeah, everything goes year around.
My son used to practice football and this season driving
me crazy because I'm like, it's too hot.

Speaker 5 (08:25):
Yeah, because I think sometimes we want to go pick
up the kids. It's like for a month straight where
they're practicing out there.

Speaker 2 (08:30):
Yep, people don't appreciate that.

Speaker 3 (08:32):
Mean what they say, Man, I Xcel Mobile power by
Attorney Dan Newlan, interrect need to check. It's a no brainer.
Just called attorney Dan Newlan, Amazon driver. So four hundred packages,
so they're always there.

Speaker 2 (08:41):
At least they get a little short set. Someone said
they have an h they're ahe back technician.

Speaker 3 (08:46):
So even when they go inside it's hot because a
SE's broken and they wouldn't be there.

Speaker 1 (08:50):
Listen, I was talking to a friend yesterday who's who's
good friend is an HVAC technician. He said, I work
three to four days a week, make about fifteen hundred
dollars in the other four out work. Yeah, because there's
so much work out there to get.

Speaker 3 (09:02):
But it's hot, someone said, as a pool they're a
pool cleaner, they said, And don't let no one tell
you this year the hot is just different.

Speaker 1 (09:09):
They would know it's always hot. Oh yeah, they would know.
The hot is just different. All right, we come back.
We'll see if you're brave enough to tell us an
unpopular opinion that you may have. We'll described that and
talk about that next on Johnny's House. All right, Brian,
we're gonna talk about some unpopular opinions. And someone said
this about and how could they say this? I know,
how could they say this? Well that's what they posted.

Speaker 3 (09:29):
They said, unpopular opinion, and then it said nobody cares
about this Taylor Swift wedding. And of course that obviously
said everyone who does care about it off. But there
are some people that are like, you're right, because it's
same with the royal wedding. Yes, because I remember me
going I don't care. Yes, who cares, you know.

Speaker 1 (09:45):
And here's the thing about unpopular opinion, there's you're gonna
get some kickback from it, Okay, but that's fine. That's
your own opinion. Stand ten toes in it, believe in.

Speaker 2 (09:54):
If you post it, I'm assuming you're fishing for get back. Otherwise,
just keep it to yourself. Yeah.

Speaker 1 (10:00):
So the things I say this moment, the things you've
been keeping to yourself, it's time to bring it out.
Brand you got any unpopular opinions you want to go
in through out there? I mean I don't really like
have any like hills I'll die on. But like, like,
I think gender reveal parties are.

Speaker 3 (10:15):
Dare I say stupid, I'll come They're just unnecessary. And
I think social media has gotten to the point where
they've become just annoying. Like if you want to have
a little get together and tell your close friends what
it is great, if you have to get a bow
and arrow and shoot something from across the field that
then bursts into flames, like let's.

Speaker 1 (10:38):
Hit a soft ball in it turned think of blue, Like,
come on, that is his unpopular opinion and he stands
on it. Now Here, I have two and it's one
I've said before, and I don't care what y'all think.
I think rom coms are stupid, all of them.

Speaker 4 (10:52):
That's your guilty pleasure.

Speaker 1 (10:54):
Romantic comedies are just dumb, unrealistic, and it gives you
just just unrealistic view on love and their dumb dumb
And this one I've kept to myself. Oh but Brian
mentioned these are sometimes you keep it to yourself. I'm
gonna throw it out there. Sprinkles on cake unnecessary. It
gets in the way. Take the sprinkles off, yo, you

(11:16):
don't need sprinkles. Ice cream looks the worst sprinkles, no, I.

Speaker 4 (11:20):
Have seen the dot cakes? Is that what you're talking about?
Like the dot cakes that everybody's eating?

Speaker 3 (11:24):
A little hard ball sprinkles now, the regular sprinkles that
are really easily, the easy, but the little hard ones
they drive me crazy.

Speaker 1 (11:33):
Sprinkles take away from the taste of the cake, taste
away from the taste of ice cream. All it does
is look festive for kids. Unnecessary my unpopular opinion. I
stand on it right, Okay.

Speaker 5 (11:48):
Vacations with children are not fun. I love my children,
I love having a good time, I love getting away,
but they aren't fun.

Speaker 3 (12:02):
I think ninety nine percent of people agree with you,
they just won't say it out there. Like, my wife
and I always scheduled no kid vacation, Yes, kid vacation,
and that's.

Speaker 2 (12:10):
What we always do.

Speaker 5 (12:11):
That's what we're doing too, and so like, I love
like giving my kids those experience, and.

Speaker 4 (12:15):
That's what I'm making it for.

Speaker 2 (12:17):
That's their vacation.

Speaker 4 (12:18):
Yes, they're having fun. I'm not having fun.

Speaker 2 (12:21):
It's not your vacation. Yes, I agree with you on that.

Speaker 4 (12:24):
Also, I think I like layovers.

Speaker 2 (12:29):
What you gotta be kid.

Speaker 4 (12:31):
Right, I like and I realized this.

Speaker 5 (12:33):
I like layovers because you can enjoy that city. I
don't care if you're enjoying that city in the airport.
If I can sit and look out the window and
have a beer in an airport.

Speaker 2 (12:44):
Wow, I kind of like layovers now that you say that.

Speaker 3 (12:47):
Wow, I don't mind them if they're like in that
sweet spot, if they're forty five minutes too short, if
there's three hours too long, like if they're that hour
and a half where I could stop and grab food
or something.

Speaker 4 (12:57):
See, just three hours is fine for me. Longer than three.

Speaker 2 (13:03):
I want to get there.

Speaker 4 (13:04):
I like some layover.

Speaker 1 (13:05):
Oh my goodness, man, wow, unpopular opinion. A couple of
people on the live stream said, ketchup on anything. It
is gross. Man.

Speaker 3 (13:15):
You know what will really break you of ketchup? Having
a kid. Everything drench to the point where you're disgusted.

Speaker 2 (13:24):
Wow. Wow. Somebody say, who hurts you? Downny?

Speaker 1 (13:28):
Anybody hurt me? I think sprinkles unnecessary and rom coms
are stupid. That's just my unpopular opinion. You might love them,
I think you should. I just every time I see
one like this is just dumb.

Speaker 3 (13:38):
I bet if I ran down the list of most
popular rom coms, you've seen most of them.

Speaker 2 (13:41):
Finally listening, come back. I want to hear Okay, we'll
come back. I want to hear it.

Speaker 1 (13:47):
I won't lie I've seen it, but I think rom
coms that's a tupid all right, I want to hear
what is your unpopular opinion? And we're gonna hook somebody
up with two tickets to Disney Water Park. XL is
giving away Disney Water Park tickets to Disney h two
O Glow after hours you a chance to win at
XL one on six seven dot com slash contest. So

(14:08):
all you gotta do is be be real with it.
This is is not a popular opinion.

Speaker 2 (14:12):
Let's not. We're not getting into politics, all right, We're
not doing it. Right, Let that go.

Speaker 1 (14:16):
That's too easy, all right, fur ol seven now one
nine one O six seven eight seven seven nine one
nine one on six seven XL mobile four one ran
asking for your unpopular opinions, and we're gonna throw them
out there.

Speaker 6 (14:28):
Uh.

Speaker 1 (14:28):
Someone on the live stream said, I'm just gonna say it.
Coffee is nasty. I agree with you.

Speaker 3 (14:33):
People look at me like I'm crazy. I hate the
smell two in gen C. My unpopular opinion. Coffee is nasty,
all right. I mentioned I don't like sprinkles. I think
sprinkles don't add anything, till anything. And I don't like
rom coms. So Brian's gonna pull out the top ten
rom coms and I'll let you know if I've seen
them or not.

Speaker 2 (14:51):
Allright, give me.

Speaker 3 (14:52):
I feel like to hate them. You sure talk about them,
hate them. I think they're stupid. Okay, all right, what
you got? We know you just saw the ladies Jennifer
Lopez throw that on here. So these are the ones
that people most people have seen. How about the proposal
is that one with Sandra Bullock.

Speaker 4 (15:09):
Ryan Reynolds, Oh, I love that movie.

Speaker 2 (15:11):
Is that the one when he was in high school?

Speaker 3 (15:12):
No, one, that's a different by the way, But that's
the one where they go he's in Canada. He goes
and he becomes a record executive. That's the different one. Okay,
but you've seen that one, so no, Okay, but you've
seen it Sleepless in Seattle. No, I have not, really,
have not seen it, heard about it. No, the lines
from it. I'll have what she's having. That's all I know.

Speaker 2 (15:32):
Same. I've never seen their fifty first dates. Have not
seen it. You've never seen know about it, never seen it.
The wedding singer Adam saandlor again parts of it. Never
seen it in its entirety.

Speaker 3 (15:46):
Okay, how about How to Lose a Guy in Ten Days?

Speaker 1 (15:50):
I saw a little bit, and that's what Matthew McConaughey. Yes, yeah,
I haven't seen all of it, seen a little bit.
I haven't seen any of it because I saw it
was stupid. See my best friend's wedding?

Speaker 3 (16:02):
Who's that? Julia Roberts, Oh, absolutely not. Yeah, Julia Robert Moone. No,
you've never seen a pretty woman.

Speaker 2 (16:09):
I have seen. That's a good one.

Speaker 3 (16:11):
Absolutely, That's that's the number two come of all time
on this list.

Speaker 2 (16:17):
Alright, I've seen that, you've got mail? No, Tom Hanks?

Speaker 3 (16:21):
Right, how about when Harry met Sally?

Speaker 2 (16:26):
I've not seen it. I haven't seen it.

Speaker 3 (16:28):
Okay, well good, I've not seen any of those. Well,
I've seen fifty first dates and I've seen the proposal.
I think Rob Rends is funny. Yeah, and everyone seem
pretty woman.

Speaker 1 (16:37):
Yeah, I saw that. I'm gonna lie say I haven't
seen it. That's I was like, huh ad again, That's
why I say it's stupid. Ain't no way a millionaires
go pick up a prostitute. At the end, we're gonna
live halfter half hour. Stupid.

Speaker 2 (16:47):
She wasn't just a run of the mill prostitute.

Speaker 3 (16:50):
She fell into the life of prostitution, just came out
to Hollywood looking for a dream.

Speaker 2 (16:58):
Coco, Mike Might, good morning, Good morning. What's your unpopular opinion?
I hate AI? Oh thing to a wow?

Speaker 3 (17:08):
Oh boy, you just came right out with it. Have
you not seen my cool AI graphics?

Speaker 2 (17:14):
Yeah? Right, I don't want to see the chat GBT
posters up here to the cookout invite IM like if
they had a choice, they put AI in a toaster, like, hey,
I bet there's an AI toaster. I guarantee you. Yeah,
I guarantee there is. I guarantee it. It's being forced
said down our throats. Man, I'm tired of it.

Speaker 1 (17:33):
I talked to a diff friend of mine and he
said he wanted nothing to do with it. I'm like, bro,
I was that weight. But I'm telling you, man, it
changed life. It will all right, you hold on a second.
Marissa from Claremont, good morning, Good morning. What is your
unpopular opinion?

Speaker 6 (17:47):
I just don't get the hype of bacon.

Speaker 2 (17:51):
I don't think it's that.

Speaker 7 (17:54):
What is wrong?

Speaker 2 (17:56):
Are your taste buds broken or something?

Speaker 1 (17:59):
No?

Speaker 7 (17:59):
Not.

Speaker 1 (18:00):
I just I'm not a picky eater.

Speaker 6 (18:03):
So if there's bacon bits and something.

Speaker 2 (18:05):
I won't pick them out, but I won't eat it
on the side of like breakfast, or if I I'll
take it off the burger.

Speaker 1 (18:13):
You've never had a whole strip of bacon and just
jamming in your mouth.

Speaker 3 (18:17):
No, you know, Dunkin Donut sells snack bacon bacon, like
you can just walk around with a little bag of
bacon and eat it. Yeah, I know, with chocolate covern bacon.

Speaker 6 (18:31):
I just don't get it.

Speaker 1 (18:33):
You don't get it. People just not supposed to get it.
Oh my goodness, Rissa, you hold on a second.

Speaker 3 (18:38):
Mife made bourbon bacon jam over the weekend.

Speaker 2 (18:42):
In the smoker and everything was delicious. I don't get bacon.

Speaker 1 (18:47):
Kayla, good morning, Good morning, your unpopular opinion.

Speaker 6 (18:52):
People who like K pop should not make it their
whole personality.
