employee rally. Got there. Man, it was hot, good.

Lord, thousand degrees yesterday it was ninety nine at seven pm.

Good Nes did that got on stage. We did our
think I'll tell you man, our company's funny to see
a bunch of morning radio people and radio DJs having
to perform something. Yeah, it was funny to watch. It
was funny watch we we did it. I think we
came in like fourth.

Speaker 5 (04:49):
I don't know, searing sounded the same because we were all.

Speaker 2 (04:55):
Going to vote for each other, the same for everybody, everybody,
including myself. Everybody I did. They did have to combine
the entire I told you it was numbers. I said,
you know what, who got the most people, they're gonna win.
It was fun to do though, going up on stage
with no rehearsal. We knew our parts and it was fun.

The audio, I mean we are an audio company. Yeah,
it did, you know, leave a little to be desired.

Brian jumped off the stage and then rolled back on
the stage and said, go ahead, boy, come on now
up into the crowd. It was fun. We still didn't win, No,
we didn't win. Then I walked through the crowd everybody
like y'all. I said, look, I'm not that god that
you got to tell and y'all really did. What's for it?
Whis for it at the bar, someone goes, hey, y'all

really should have won, but they just didn't give it
to y'all because everybody gets jealous as y'all win everything.

Everybody saying that because they don't win anything because I
had that mindset and he won everything, so they don't
want to give it to us by deep trying to
be ugly.

But there was the top three. It was one of

Accurate when I say everybody thinks we were everything. In
some default, they say, oh, we're not gonna win anything.

We had a very good stretch where we were the year,
and then they started giving it to people just to
give it to us, so they got yeah whatever. It
was fun.

I stayed about ten minutes after that, grab some pizza
through some meatballs and a double plate, took it in
the back, and I went home because I told the
kid I'd bring some food home. Got home, talked to
my mom. She had four doctor's appointments and they said
everything is fine. The cancer that they thought that she
had it gone. She can see now, blood pressure right,
and she was just so happy. I'm like, well, good, good,

to my girl and went to bed ray about you.

We had a fun little promotions meeting about some future say.

And then after that I did go over and helped
set up for our employee rally.

Parking downtown is horrible, terrible, It's horrible. I want to
fix people going down there and make it easier. Yeah, wow,
wow it. I had to walk like a mile and
I paid eleven dollars. My old my old building that
I lived in was right next door, and I tried
to contact the security girl. She wasn't there. And then
some people from another radio station illegally parked.

Yeah what Yeah, it does suck.

But everybody was coming in like sweating because they had
to walk so far. So but then after that, I
did take some pizza home and I got the kids
and then kind of just hung.

Out with the kids. But it was just a non
stop day.

I didn't know I had meatballs, Like after we set up,
I had a couple of meatballs.

Yeah. I scraped everything off my game.

was cool.

Our meetings ran late here, so I stayed here until
we had to go to the meeting because no point
in me running all the way back to a garden
and all the way back here. So just did Radio
STA up and then I went down there and walked
a marathon.

To get to the little venue and then we did
our little thing. It was fun, It was a good time.
It was fun talking with people.

We don't really get to talk to some of the
other stations very much because we're all in our little
boxes in the mornings and then we go our separate ways,
so that was.

Kind of fun. And then I did snag a whole
pizza that took home to my son. I told our
big boss, I said, look, either you guys feed him
or because his show didn't get to go. They were doing.
There was a lot of stuff going on in Sport yesterday.
How many people they think was coming. They had a
lot of pizza, I mean a lot. My son does
a sports station. They had the big trade with Gianni's.

They had the World Cup going on, so they had
a bunch of stuff going on. The draft NBA Draft
was last night, so.

Speaker 6 (08:40):
They didn't get to come, so I took him a
pizza and then my wife and I watched World Cup.
Now she doesn't care about soccer, but even like the
the England Ghana game was so intense, even she was
like kind of glued and okay, so what just happened?
It was crazy and the fixes in they robbed Ghana.
So England can the vans?

Really? I get? Oh it sut the fixes in? Really
we see you England.

But anyway, it was fun to watch.

And then because we didn't get a nap, we just
kind of ate whatever for dinner because I had eaten already,
and we watched a little Wheel of ire not with
a fortune.

I always forget the family feud. Yes, family feud. We
watch a little faily feard. Then went to bed. Every
time I watched World Cup, I get a new observation.
And my observation is this outside the UFC refs. World
Cup refs don't play. You hit somebody get they're all
jack Yes, Oh they don't play. Yeah, man, I didn't.

If you don't get out of my face, I'm like, wow,
that's not rough. Reason. NBA is like, well, you know,
Lebron he did. Yeah, yeah, reach for their pocket. Yes,

I'm like, hey, I don't play around that man. They
cheated for England Yesterdayly what happened. So, without getting too soccer,

it was the zero zero game, yep. I mean we're
getting down to the last couple of minutes. Ghana beating
England would be insane.

So Ghana got on a run and so now I
mean a perfect pass to avoid all sides.

Dude from England comes up from behind and kind of
body checks him, doesn't touch the ball at all inside
the box. That's a penalty kick all day every day.
It would have been reversed. They would have given it

so they didn't score where they easily would have scored,

setup I think we got. It's an oven in there
and our I think so, there's a microwave, there's an icemaker.

labeled has their name on it, and then they would

take it. Yeah, or use use somebody's creamer. And somebody said,
even an entire meal prep container. I can't imagine doing it.

If I'm meal preps and brought it here and somebody
ate it, I would have signs everywhere.

Now the creamer though, it's not like I don't do coffee,
but it's not like a community thing.

he put a time heerd on it, like if they
didn't take it in a day, it was his.

And I'm like, yeah, it's someone's names on you can't
touch it. We've had people lose their jobs over that.

Oh yeah, oh yeah. Some things they say people doing
in break rooms is nail clipping, yeah, countertop grooming. Of
course we mentioned this from piles of dirty dishes, speaker phone,
speakerphone calls or loud FaceTime calls. I go into a
room like, I guess we have the villa, you know

we we can't just pop into one of the production rooms.

Yeah yeah, because I know.

Y'all don't want to hear one trapping coworkers. This is
where you have where you have a coworker and they
force you in the corner and you got to talk
intense personal views and politics.

Name two people. At least I do that.

I stay away from that mess man. That is not
mine and I used to do. I don't do that here,
but my first job breakroom napping. Absolutely if I had
to do a double oh, I'm in there with my

their breakroom because we used to have soda and vnding machines,

the room too hot, so they couldn't do that.

Let me tell you teachers, teachers breakrooms are basic, man,
And I feel bad because they just need that room
to decompress. But I can see it's so small. Yeah

Once So they don't go in their breakroom because they
try to try to avoid the people trying to talk
to them. And man, I worked at Circuit City too,
but we ain't have it like this. Someone said at
Circuit City back in the day, they had a break
room full of all the game consoles. They were all
set up so they could play video games while they
were on break.

So I was telling you that Olivia Rodrigo came out
with that music festival. Well, there's a huge inspiration behind it,
and you guys were right.

So she revealed this week that she was putting on
that all woman music festival in August and it's in
at the Daisy Chain Fields featuring Chaperone Dogy Cat's Eye,
And yesterday she sat down with Good Morning America and
she shared her inspiration. She said that festivals, uh, the
name was inspired by the girls sitting underneath a tree
making flower crowns and friendship bracelets and stuff like that.

But she did share that the first person she called
for advice about putting on the music festival was Sarah MacLachlan.

The Lilith founder or Lilith Fair founder a total trailblazer
Sarah McLachlin. She hinted that, like, you know, it's a
pretty big music festival, music moment for people, especially like women.

Somebody did say that she Olivia Rodrigau was a part
of a Lilith Fair documentary too, so like she was like, yeah,
so she was all about the whole Lolith Fair. So

Yeah, so Olivia Rodrigo, Sam maclachlin, I think so because

to give away too much. The new blair Witch project

to be reimagining the nineteen ninety nine found footage.

I never forget it. I went to I went to
the movie, and afterwards when the little camera feil to
the side, Yeah, anybody's like, this was just amazing. I'm
sitting go what does happen? Yeah, this is the most
amazing film I've ever seen.

So the freelancer had done some hr work for this
hospitality business, but they said chasing the money would be
too stressful, costly and slow. They looked in to hire
in an attorney, but it was going to be expensive,
so they use this company called Garfield AI. She said,

the preaction letters, filed court proceedings, handled all the legal
prep before the trial, including witness statements and document bundles,
all using AI. Then the other side fought back with
a counterclaim and they actually hired legal counsel, So she
stayed with the AI, and the court still ruled in
her favor, awarding the money and tossing out the counterclaim.
So the AI beat the actual lawyers.

So they would type in what they need the answers
to and the AI said it, and then they repeat.

It it yes, So she would consult with the AI, tell
it everything and they would basically say this, she's representing
herself using an AI attorney. But I guess over there
it's probably like sanctioned because otherwise it wouldn't be an
AI law firm, it'd be just you Google.

So my whole thing is is that like obviously there's
there's winnings, Like there's there's money that.

mom is doing with a lot of health scares, she's

new jaw. Basically okay, And yesterday he had his last
brain surgery to replace a piece of his skull. And
he's out of surgery. And this should be it, hopefully
for us.

clean bill of health and it's just like it's just
like a relief because of everything you've been through. Congratulations, Congratulations,

their fault the insurance, and the insurance would have covered
your belongings if if they got lost.

vacation on leanings. I was already ten years into the Navy.

system and I met her, fell in love, and sure
enough she has rode with me. She left everything behind,
moved to Guam with me, and it was man after that.

that I've been listening to since I retired, and by far,
