Man, it was rough getting out of bed this morning.

Let's see. Uh. I went to Charlotte for about a
week and I took my son and we got got
his his cousins, my nephew, and we went to the
Great Wolf Lodge. Yes, the Great Wolf Lodge is like

a Disney hotel in Charlotte. Yeah, except this right there,
and looking out of the window, you know, there was
an apartment complex all right next to it. Yeah. So
I'm sitting on my I'm like, well, at least Disney
they make sure that you keep that illusion there when
they own so much land that you're definitely inside Disney proper. Well,
I'm gonna sit outside. I'm like, wait a minute, that's

an apartment complex. It was fun, I mean it was fun.
They had a good time indoors. It's indoors. Yeah, And
I went in an I start watering because it's it's kids. Yeah.

So the chlorine level is really hot, hot, and it's sealed.

So I found I found an area out by the
pool and say, hey, look y'all, this is where I'll
be go go have a good time, and spent some
quality time with my mom. Then came back here and
went to uh to Mexico, for about six days and
had a ball. I just ate and relaxed and slept
and just just just hung out.

It was it was really really cool.

I did. I don't normally do excursions, but they have
an island and we went to that island and you
had to catch a ferry and you go over.

It was kind of like Key West.

And I rented a golf cart and you know, he
said how much ninety dollars. Nope, not gonna do it.
So you had to haggle yeah, and then I, you know,
I'm like, okay, I don't know who we are. We
want to turn around and get that insurance just in
case you wreck it. Tell you something I might have
been illegal. The person said, can I get your license?

I gave my license. They said, you have car too,
I found I said, I'm a girl. I ain't signed
no paperwork.

You feel out nothing, so you could have just like
rode off with it.

They say, well you had your license, and I'm like,
so I looked, I wouldn't mess around. The federalities ready
to put you in the jail. This is the thing.
I'm like, I'm sure people do that. And at the
end of the night, be a small island. This is
driving around. There's your car, ye bring it home back? Yeah,
they did that like you do with the scooters downtas. Yeah. Yeah,
so it was it was I had no paperwork and
brought it back and then uh came back and I

flew in. I wanted to go see Lina Richie and
uh earth wind and fire, but I missed that because
the flight was late and all that. Oh no, and
yesterday just chilled, man. But it was a good vacation.
It's good to be back.

We kind of caught up on our vacations behind the scenes,
you know, talking about it. But on Friday, the kids
had a canine camp. What is that all week where
like they trained.

To be a canine trainer. Yeah, so they had their
graduation on Friday.

Didn't give him like a piece of newspaper and balled
it up. Stay when it got a line.

No, because that is when you do neighborhood canine camp. Yeah,
not when you do real sanctions canine camp.

My friend is the dog trainer, and so she was
like I had to like make them sit insteay, like
you know, she did.

Treat them like dogs. But like that's possible.

Yeah, So they had their little graduation and then Kim's
parents had a beach condo over the weekend. So I
just like went out there in New Smart Beach and
kind of like hung out for a little bit.

Really okay, okay, be grind. I was fine.

We hung out at Volcano Bay on Saturday as my
friend Chris's birthday, so they did like a comband on everything.

So this was hot.

Many book floated around the lazy river. Now they have
a not so lazy river, but that's too much for
I don't know that one.

Speaker 2 (08:29):
I'm like, WHOA a very stressful river. So I didn't
do that. So we hung out there for a little while.

Then we went and got home, went home and changed,
and we went and saw the lionel Richie in Earth
window fire Man.

He walked out.

I was a little concerned because he was walking very gingerly.
I'm like, this is gonna be an hour and a
half of sadness for me because I remember just five
years ago.

Speaker 2 (08:49):
Brown was telling I'm like, I remember we went to
see him. He was like, you know, danceing on the ceiling.
He was like, no, man, a little yeah, and.

Speaker 7 (08:56):
He's coming off of an illness where like you got
taken out. He brought that up a lot. But it
was fun to hear him talk. He's like an og
so he was telling stories and everything, and uh, it
was it was good. But he performed very well and
he did pick it up and it was you know,
he's seventy seven years old.

I I just remember. I told man, it was a
great show man. I mean, he rocked it. But he said,
you know it's five years ago. Well, yeah, I guess
it was.

He's seventy seven's worked two hundred million. He ain't got
to be doing He just enjoyed it. Yeah, So it
was fun to do that. And then we hit that
crossroads because we were in a twenty four hour parking garage.

Do we stay out or do we go home? We
went home, which we never did.

Yeah, we never do.

We were by eleven thirty. Are we crazy? Well, I
mean downtown and what downtown used to be? Yeah, yeah, yeah,
we might yeah downtown like it was. We might have
been somewhere else yow. And then yesterday I just did
a bunch of stuff around the house.

I got a bunch of stuff together and took it
and donated at the good will to clean up a
little bit, just hung out around the house.

We cooked.

I cooked dinner last night for us, and then we
went to a little ice cream shopping town. Had a
little ice cream date. Yeah, he was telling me, Oh, man,
it's the best ice cream ever had. I'm sitting there going, man,
best ice cream had its special. I need to find
out ice every night.

I know I'm a connoisseur. Yeah, I'm gonna ahead making confession.
I mean, I gained seven pounds I lost to yesterday.
Oh nice for you, man. Look you know you go
to the resort. Yeah, you got breakfast, lunch. Give me
some wings. I don't want them, but hell, I already paid.

eat enough. Yeah, to justify what I paid. Oh, I
bought a drink, but this didn't taste right, dumping give

But I'm uh, I worked out yesterday, ran this morning.
I'm trying to get into Yeah, we got we got
a cruise coming up. I know, I know, Gosh, I
gotta do something and it'll be you're about you're about
to go to Europe. Yeah, good thing. We'll do a
lot of walking. Bad thing. We're gonna do a lot

of eating. Yes, all the food is just different. Yeah,
and we're gonna eat our way through Europe and then
literally four days later get on the cruise.

So I already know I'm gonna be a big sweaty
on the cruise. Ain't nothing to do about it. Man,
you're mine's gonna be all over the place. Hey, I
got no idea what's going on the next month is
going to be normal. I mean I have something every weekend,
which is crazy, Like, so I have every weekend in August,
I have something and then literally get ready and head
to eleven days and Europe, come back for four days
and jump.

On the cruise. Here's the crazy thing is that you know,
you you go on these trips, and I remember the
first of June, we were talking going, man, this month's
gonna go by. Ray's gonna be about to go on vacation.
I'm going it's the end of the month.

Speaker 7 (11:27):
It's like, yeah, I know, we're like day we're like
fifty six days away from the cruise. I think it's
something like that, And so that means I'm fourteen days
shorter than that from my trip. I'm like fifty forty
days away from going to Europe, which is crazy, man.
And I've never been other than Amsterdam that one time. Yeah,
in and out real quick, So I'm excited.

No, no, you should, man. I was looking at it,
possibly doing a train trip here in this country, and
I'm like, Brian's gonna be doing Europe.

I can't even talk about I can't talk about my loves.

And we've been planning and saving for five years for this.

You're like, where you're trying to go on?

Every year we've talked about it, and then every year

about being on vacation. People are friendlier, you know, they're
more apt to talk to you.

they're on vacation too, and everybody's more relaxed. Then you
can see those same people and sit to Florida, look

We met like so many different couples. But the Sandals
that we stayed at, it was right next to Heathenism.

that we met, uh, surprisingly they're from Central Florida. They're
from the UK. They now live in Central Florida, but
we met them in Jamaica did so, but so shout

were going to when they came back. They were on
the top level of Heathenism of doing all the freaking

really very proper. She was like a I don't want
to say too much. She was like a micheline chef.

Yeah, but yeah, they were talking about everything and then
inviting us to do all these things and telling us
where they were going to meet and like all this stuff.
It was so interesting.

And then we met another couple who one of his
best friends was the guy.

In virgin Yeah, I've met him and his wife, and
his wife actually helped Kim get a drink at the
bar because they were.

The people that we were meeting, because they were just
so friendly and you don't really like automatically be like, hey,
this is what I do for a living. You see
it and you're like, you talk to him, and then
you just open up more and you open up more.

Now, Brian and his wife do that. I don't do
that when I go on vacation. I ain't trying to
meet nobody. I'm friendly to everybody. I'll hold a conversation
until my drink is poored and I'm out. I don't.
I see people doing it all the time, and I'm
thinking that's pretty cool. I don't want to do that well.

With those like all inclusives.

And look on a cruise, you see these people over again.

The longer you say, you see him more and more.

And it was once I had a conversation from a
guy from Oklahoma and we start talking about football, and
I start talking about some old players from there and
how you know it's a way of life for them,
and yeah, that's just one guy. Anybody else, ay, man,
how y'all doing good? I don't do it. I just don't.
I don't want to do it.

It's so interesting.

No, it's just say because like they came back here
and like I give them my WhatsApp and so like
they're messaging.

For cocktails and it ain't the same energy. It's not

Because I don't know what freaky places that we have here,
but I'm pretty sure that they go to those freaky
places here.

I mean they don't just because they like hedonism, don't
mean they want to be in hedonism. Everything they do, well,

Listen, you're sitting in all inclusives and the drinks are free,
well prepaid anyway, and you're sitting there and the next
thing you know, you've met your best friends in the
whole world. But you come back, he ain't the same
energy because you got on your work clothes. You're gonna
who work clothes and everything's different. Be you and your
wife do it all the time? You everwhere we go?
Are y'all just approachable or do you well?

We have fun and so like when you're having fun,
people want to get in on the fun. And if
someone's having fun, we want to get in on the fun.
So usually it's at the pool. But we've met groups
from Texas, we've met groups from California. We still are
friends on social media with a couple we met at
a bar in Saint Augustine, just talking like and that
was probably eight years ago. Wow, so we're still friends

with them. We still we've we've actually met up a
couple of times. Some of my my my best friends
that I'm actually friends with now and hang with. I
met at a random pool on vacation because we were
both watching Hurricanes game and they're Hurricanes fan.

We just started talking. Next thing, you know, we hang out.
See I don't. I don't let the conversation ride out.

But we just hit it off and went to the
club and she lives really close to me. About twenty
minutes or so from there, I met my now husband
because she worked with him.

Another cruise and met her out that she's still married with.

And it's been.
