What I My wife was very excited to tell me
this yesterday, Like literally the second I got home from Walyly's.
Garth Brooks had a countdown clock on his website and
it came to an end, and they announced a big
arena tour. Okay, which is a big deal because he's
beyond arenas at this point. He does stadiums. Yeah, he
usually does the end the round thing and there's eighty

thousand people there. But he's doing an arena tour. So
they said they're basically bringing it back to the roots.
It's called blame it all on my Roots. The arena tour.
He said, I'm going back to arenas, putting the little
stadium show in a box. It's multiplied when it's intimate
like this, Every seat is a great seat.

The cool thing about Garth Brooks over the years, he's
kept his ticket price the same front row.

he's taking his back to arena arenas. How is he
going to make sure that his tickets don't get a
scalped because he can charge one price, but the resale.

the last time he was here. He was here for
three nights, Yeah, at Camping World. Yeah, Yeah, we went.

We went to Vegas to see him for our anniversary
because my wife's a huge fan, and that was cool.

their first of nine sold out shows at Madison Square
Garden last night. It was their first major public concert
since twenty twenty twenty two.

So he's doing a residency.

He's doing eight nights here and then they're taking this
it's called the Forever Tour.

They're going over to the UK and doing a bunch
of shows.

They don't have anything outside of Madison Square Garden scheduled

So he had vocal cord surgery and he had said
if I can't come back and do it the right way,
I'm not coming back. And so he, I guess rehabbed.

Everything was good and so that they performed last night,
twenty one songs on the set list from the very
beginning all the way through.

So this was last night yep. So they had to
get all that tailor shop stuff about it. Yes, or
they just repurposed the set.

I don't know. Maybe you're getting a sneak peak of
what Taylor's looked like.

Maybe there's a repurpose the whole thing. He forget. This
castle is right, he had to go break his tet
on any day now, or maybe he's like, hey, let's
just use the castle. Yeah, cool, let's go.

The videos are really good and he sounds really good.
He's doing the same as little Bonjovie Bounce he used

So I mean he's gone and done other things, more
og stuff. Madonna, she did stand up comedy and nobody
really knew about.

It's like a secret set at the Comedy Cellar.

But Will Arnett was on a podcast and he was
talking about it and he said Amy Schumer brought her
and they surprised her. But she went up on stage.
She did about forty minutes. They said, of comedy, yes
I have, I've only seen a little clip so I
guess she brought a binder on stage, and she kind
of read she more or less read, but because it's Madonna,
people kind of gave her the benefit of the doubt

and they were just starstruck because it's Madonna.

Wow. She did a set.

One of the things that she got a lot of
laughs on is she said, if Trump keeps deporting people,
I'm not going to have any staff left. And everyone laughed,
which is kind of funny because you poked funny you yourself.

Yeah, and you've worked fun.

At you know, the state of the situation, which is
what comedy is supposed to do. You dropped a lot
of f bombs, which people say was kind of weird
to see Madonna doing that, and I'm like, well, that's
kind of what I would expect from Madonna.

But you don't think about it.

A lot of like athletes want to be actors, actors
want to be athletes. Singers said, you know, I want
to do stand up so I don't need to do it,
but I would like to try it.

It'd be fun to me. It would be just too fair.
I couldn't do it.

Every time you did it, I'm like, bro, how you
you walk out there and you hope that they get
what you said and they last. It's one of the
hardest things to do it because you are by yourself.

A show together, like a live show or whatever, it's
all right if something doesn't land because somebody else is
right there.

I can't imagine sitting up in the green room because
it's all day, wait, wait for that night, and then
all sudden you up there and here he is from
Johnny's house, Bryan, Yeah, and boom, and you walk out

I've only had, like I said, I only had one
where it was like crash and burn, and that was
one of the hardest things I've ever lived through.

a half minutes of my life.

So I'm like, I'm not really, I'm not doing this.
I would hate I'm like, you know, I'm done, but
they tell you. Even some of the biggest comedians Dave
Chappelle last year he bombed. Yeah, He's like, okay, this
ain't working to night and he walked out. So you

can't imagine. I think now I would ride it out
just for the uncomfortableness. I'd be like, look, every joke
you don't laugh at, I'll tell three so we can
make this as uncomfortable as you wanted to be.

Went straight to a doctor's appointment and everything looked pretty good.

the doctor, you got to figure out.

I just want that you're a hundredercent good.

You gotta come back, and he's like, you're about ninety
percent good, but this is what you need to do.

Yeah, I mean that's pretty much the way it's gonna be. Yeah,
you can actually should be happy for ninety percent. Like
when you take your car in they're go find something.

Yeah, but it was good afterwards. You know.

Today I'm trying to get my kid's car registered. His
mom gave me a car, so we're trying to get
all that stuff registered. So I finally made that last call.
Because you got to have insurance before you get tagged, yep.
So I called my insurance agent. She said, okay, send
me over this information. Blah blah blah, and I knew
it was gonna be something. She goes when I get
a text back, brace yourself. Are you ready? Yeah, it's

it's something. I said, well now, yeah, go ahead and
tell me.

Triple yeah, triple.

And I'm like, look, okay, okay, you know I got
I have two cars, one of the old Mercedes that
I rarely drive, but I got it because it's paid for.
In his mind, I said, he's not gonna ever drive
my cars. This car is in his name. It's his
you got three cars in the household, he's under your policy.
We gott to insure him for all three. I'm like,

but he's never gonna drive, don't matter, don't matter. I'm like,
are you kidding me? And I sat there and thought
about it. I said, could I do the car line?

Is it worth?

One more year? Oh my goodness, yeah, cripples.

It's sort of fun to watch you guys because I'm
a few years ahead of.

You guys in the parenting, so I've already been through this.
And I and I made you.

Like, he's only driving four miles a day because he
worked at public's right.

Down the street.

He went to school less than three miles away. And
they're like, so yes, oh the school is less than
a one and a half mile.

From my house. Like he could walk if you had to.
That was crazy. I'm like, triple.

And then he even got a good student discount, and
I'm like, what other discounts can I get?

And they're like, well, you can get to the fifty
something playing but if liability, if you know, if you're
a homeowner, then they come out to your house, come
out to my house. Yeah, because you got to have uninsured.
You gotta have collision, you gotta have all that stuff.
We did, the little drive and save discount.

I have a little module in your car so you
can find out like the trips and how often you
speed and all that stuff.

Speaker 5 (09:30):
Because I had to, because I couldn't afford an otherwise. Man.

I told him, I said, listen, here's the rules. If
you break into these rules, the car's gone. If your
grades go down, cars gone. If this car's gone, this
car's gone. And I'm just like dude, and he goes
to house. There collation between bad grades and taking the car,
because obviously your mind ain't in school. It's on the car. Yeah,
oh well not just that the discount. Yeah, yeah, it's

It's a home. That's what I told my son.

If you get as much as a parking ticket, yeah,
and it makes your insurance go up, you're on your own.

accidents happen, but if it's something some stupidity that you've
had a speeding ticket, not paying attention, that kind of thing, son,

My son's been good as far as that goes. He
did have the accident, but somebody hit him. Yeah, that's

But he's stuck to because I told him, Look, I
cannot afford a speeding toget.

I just can't like.

Insuring him costs more than ensuring my wife and I
combined man, the two of us with two more expensive
cars than his, and it costs more to insure him.

And oh, his is a bucket about it. I'm not
saying this, mom gave a bucket, but that's.

What your first car. To me.

Oh, absolutely supposed to be. He's gonna take care of
that car like it's brand new. So we had that conversation.
So I sat on the couch and just stared at
a TV that wasn't off about yes, and I thought
about it.

This is gonna be for years years.

Yeah, my son's been four years now. It hasn't changed,
hasn't gone down on any I'm like, every year he
doesn't do something wrong, can you get.

Watch the penalty kicks in the world. Cup game and

I think when we do while, my wife expects me
to come home hammered, so I think she was looking
at me sideways.

He spent the rest of the day yelling at me
from across the bar, trying to get my attention to
give me more drinks.

That man don't know how close he was to get
me fired because I gave the mic back.

The first one was understood and swearing on the air,

So I spent the rest of the day. I met
some of some interesting regulars, which was fun. And then
I left and they were still sending me screenshots of
them playing music on the touchdo but putting my name
on it.

They played Michael Bolton the rest of the day and
put my name on it. It was kind of funny, jerks.

Speaker 7 (12:06):
But every time we do walies, I you take that
as an opportunity to have lunch at Lazy Moon. So
on the way home, I stopped at lazy moon got
me some pizza, which was nice, but.

Because I knew I had to do the yard and
I needed to eat something.

Speaker 2 (12:17):
So I did the yard yesterday in a hundred degree
he wo whoo was hot?

Good it was.

But also I made the commitment with my wife to
work out and hold each other accountable. So after the
yard you worked out, I jump in the pool to
cool down, changed into some drag clothes, and then we
went right back into the garage gym to work out.

Good for you, because I've been like, Babe, that's my workout,
that's my workout. I could have, but I'm the I'm
the accountability partner.

So we did a little circuit of different exercises with
two hundred and fifty meters rows in between, like rotating off.

Then I thought I was gonna die there. We cold

relaxed me.

so no nap.

I mentioned yesterday that they're having a big meeting that
Netflix wanted to know why Uh eighty percent of an
audience of a new show, y'all come back and we
tell just we have to wait too long? Years years years.

Do you know how uninterested I am in the final

get a court order that you own the money and
then you have to pay the judgment.

Three different charges on different credit cards, five hundred dollars
apiece to make.

up paying only half of what they're trying to charge me.

of sheets per role. Again you can't really tell, but
over making millions and millions of rolls, it saves them
a lot of money. Right when you do it, when
you mass produce stuff, it's much cheaper.

So yeah, we do that and then we head over
to Lugo's Craft Distillery, which is the distillery in Lakeland,

They give you a sample of that plus a bunch
of other stuff that they make.

They make such really good stuff. We do a tour
so you guys can see how it all works.

And then we just kind of hang out for about

music and get on the mic and have some fun.

a last time with my girl. I know, she asked

all our luggages and she says, oh my gosh, I
forgot my cell phone in the bathroom. And she's like,

get phone. So then we go to like an attendant
and they're like, I need to go back and sign
to go and look for my cell phone. I left
it in the bathroom. So we go in. She goes
in there and tries to look for her cell phone.

So basically she thinks like somebody stole it, and this
phone doesn't have a password that has all her banking information,
all the pictures. So I'm like, why do you not
have a password on your cell phone?

truck was still there. So I got a little freak,

so I to, you know, let's just go home. So
we leave and we start walking. I looked back up
that hill of the truck's not there. So we're walking
to our neighbor to towards our houses because we we
were like on the same street, and that same truck
was behind us. So then I noticed it, but I
didn't turn around. I told my friends, like, hey, there's
that truck that was on top of the hill. She

was about to turn around. I was like, don't turn around,
Like just keep walking.

It looks straight.

So we're walking walking, and like the car is just
like going so slow, like a couple of distance from us,
so we're noticing that, and then we're just like, let's
walk a little faster. Because we walk faster, the truck
took a little gas and then we pulled down and
he pulled down. So then she was like, let's just
go to my house, because like her house is just straight.

Yeah, my house, you got a turn.

So I was like, no, we're gonna pass your house
to see if he is actually following us, and then
we'll just like run in between like the trees and stuff.
So we're walking, that car stays behind us, and we
passed her house and then there's like a couple of
feet away. It's just a bunch of bushes and trees.
So I was like, okay, like in the count of three,

we're just gonna start to the right and just jump
in the bushes. So we just start running and then
we float in the in the bushes, and that try
pressed gas and just like slowed down and we're looking
at it like through the bushes, and then he just
drove off, and she was like, okay, let's go like no, like,
let's wait a couple of minutes because what if he's

you know, circles back around or something. So we stood
there and we're crushed down where our back packs and everything,
like I have my phone in my hands ready to call,
like even then I want one or something but them.
After a couple of minutes, we don't hear no car
and nothing until we just run back to her house,
locked the doors and everything.
