Speaker 1 (00:04):
Well Luncher point seven ZXL, South Jerseys rock station ZXL
one show.

Speaker 2 (00:09):
This is exciting. We don't get a lot of a listers.

Speaker 3 (00:11):
Yeah, Man, dude is taking over Netflix, great comedy specials,
had a movie The Machine, uh and has a great
TV show called Free Bert that's on Netflix right now.
He's going to be at Ocean tomorrow and Saturday Easter
Weekend with the great Bert Kreischer. We welcome him to

(00:32):
w z XL in Atlantic City.

Speaker 4 (00:35):
Oh that sounded like me, he Bert.

Speaker 1 (00:39):
Before we get started, I want you to know we
only have ten minutes with you.

Speaker 2 (00:42):
How about that?

Speaker 3 (00:43):
Yeah, how about we put a ten minute like a
time limit on it.

Speaker 2 (00:46):
Okay, I like that.

Speaker 3 (00:49):
All right, Look, before we start things and get and
dive deep, let's get the hand job out of the way.
I want to tell you, dude, my wife and I
but twice watched Free Bert in its entirety. Dude, love it,
loved it, loved it, loved it. I got two daughters

(01:11):
and I know exactly what you are we're going through
on that show.

Speaker 2 (01:17):
Dude.

Speaker 4 (01:18):
Thank you.

Speaker 2 (01:18):
That is the best compliment I could ever get.

Speaker 4 (01:20):
And I'm telling you, I really I'm.

Speaker 2 (01:22):
Shocked to anyone watched it. I'm shocked I got picked
up for a season two. But that is the best
compliment I could ever get, Dude.

Speaker 1 (01:28):
I watched it on a plane, but it was the
only thing I could watch, So I did watch it, dude.

Speaker 3 (01:35):
And let me tell you that you're the girl who
plays your youngest daughter. Ye, dude, that girl is going
to be a superstar.

Speaker 2 (01:42):
She is.

Speaker 4 (01:44):
We're trying to figure out what her story arc.

Speaker 2 (01:45):
Is for season two right now and all, and everyone's
trying to steal her for scenes.

Speaker 3 (01:51):
She is just a home run hitter, dude. But so
so love free Bert, Free Bert. Like I said, we
watched it twice in its entirety. Also, I want to
talk about the Machine. Loved the Machine. I watched it.
We watched it a couple My wife and I watched
it a couple times. But I want to have a
conversation with you about a guy who I think got screwed,

(02:11):
and I think Star Wars screwed him. Mark Hamill is
a gangster in that movie and he kills it playing
your father, And I feel like you got Harrison Ford.
He became a huge star. Kerry Fisher became a huge star.
George Lucas became a huge director. I feel like Mark
got screwed because of Star Wars and we never got

(02:31):
to see what he could really do. And dude, he
was so good in that movie.

Speaker 4 (02:37):
Yeah, I think, if I'm not mistaken.

Speaker 2 (02:39):
He was also the youngest one when they shot Star Wars.

Speaker 4 (02:42):
Yeah, so I think it's one of those.

Speaker 2 (02:43):
Things where it's like Harrison Ford, I think knew what
he was doing and knew what he wanted and knew
that this wasn't his only stop and started working right away.
And Mark was one of those things that was like
I was like, this is awesome. I mean, it's crazy. Yeah.
I talked to him a lot about Star Wars oddly enough.

Speaker 3 (03:03):
So what I mean, I mean, does he like to
talk about it? Like I'm sure now I'm sure now
he wax poetic about it, But I'm sure back in
the day when, dude, I remember turning HBO on in
like the late eighties early nineties and he was doing
like tales from the Crypt episodes.

Speaker 2 (03:20):
He he was I will tell you this, he is
generous with his time talking about Star Wars. I mean
the first we took a private jet to Serbia and
meet him and my assistant, the producer and his daughter
and literally I got drunk, sat in the Sharon out
showim and I was like, I got a decoch Star Wars.

(03:43):
Anything you need to know? And then he was like
he would tell you behind the scenes stories like that.
I mean, and he had no problem sharing with anyone
because you know, everyone that works on a movie is
obsessed with Star Wars. Anyone that's in movies is like
Star Wars best best movie ever. He would literally sit
and talk with anyone on the crew that had any

(04:04):
questions about Star Wars. Honestly, he's he is one of
the best.

Speaker 1 (04:09):
The last Star Wars he was so angry and miserable
when he was stuck on that island. Did I feel
like he doesn't want to talk about Star Wars anymore?

Speaker 2 (04:17):
I oh, no, no, no, no, I mean he I gotta
tell you.

Speaker 4 (04:23):
I have Like the very first night we.

Speaker 2 (04:25):
Were filming, I threw pizza party, and I was like,
I didn't expect Mark to come, you know, and and
the whole crew is there, A lot of the cast
is all the cast.

Speaker 4 (04:35):
And I just saw it.

Speaker 2 (04:36):
I had a big house and I was like, I'm
throwing pizza party. I invited Mary Lou and his wife
or and his daughter, and uh. Mark shows up and
is sitting Chris Cross Apple sauce on the couch, eating.

Speaker 4 (04:46):
Pizza, holding court telling stories about Harrison Ford.

Speaker 1 (04:50):
Now, will you ever just text him on May fourth?

Speaker 2 (04:54):
No? Okay, no, you're not gonna You're not going to
go that far, will you. I will tell you. I
think I and I love Mark. Mark is the sweetest
He is the greatest guy.

Speaker 3 (05:05):
And dude, he was so good. He was so good
in the movie.

Speaker 2 (05:08):
Yeah, he was. And he was awesome to be around.
I mean we talked. I was I was dealing with
issues with my daughter at the time, you know, during
the pandemic, and he was like, he was like.

Speaker 4 (05:19):
This is what you do, this is what you do.
Like he he was a great guy.

Speaker 2 (05:23):
But I will tell you, I'm sure Mark Hamill has
gotten his fill of Bert Kiser all right?

Speaker 3 (05:28):
Well also Bert. So I don't know if Jojo knows this,
but you know, your whole thing was it was Rolling
Stone did an article. It was you were the biggest
party animal. You were University of Florida right now, Florida State,
University of Florida.

Speaker 4 (05:45):
No, no, no, Florida state.

Speaker 2 (05:46):
Florida state, Florida state.

Speaker 3 (05:47):
Okay, you're a Florida state, right, And so Rolling Stone
does the article. Will Smith then gets wind of it
and wants to kind of make wants to make you
a star. So you do a whole thing and you
can YouTube it. Your Will Smith's stories are hilarious. But
when Will Smith did the thing with Chris Rock, did
you ever think of calling Will Smith up and say, dude,

(06:08):
come on the podcast. This is where we can decompress everything.

Speaker 2 (06:13):
On I reached out. I reached out. I have an
agent's reach out. I think he was at a place
where he was like, I don't want to deal with it.
But then I was like, hey, man, I can promise
you any move you're gonna make is gonna be the
wrong move.

Speaker 4 (06:26):
I can tell you right now, I'll be.

Speaker 2 (06:27):
A safe move.

Speaker 4 (06:28):
Yes, like any because here's the deal. What happens in that.

Speaker 2 (06:32):
Moment is you think what I'll do is I'll go
on Jimmy Kimmel, I'll host Saturday Night Life. You think
you'll go to the biggest What you should do in
that move is take a very small step in the
right direction and have a unfiltered conversation with someone you know,
you can trust that you can air everything.

Speaker 4 (06:48):
Out and then also have finale edit and decide whether
or not.

Speaker 2 (06:51):
Like I was, like, anywhere you go is a bad call.
They're not going to give you final edit. You should
come on hearing. But you know, I got to be
honest with him, man, and I mean this, and I
love Will. I think he's so lost. I think it's
sad him. Yeah. I think it bums me out because
I am such a fan of his as a Now, dude,
he's so regular, He's not.

Speaker 4 (07:12):
The lunatic everyone says, and Bert.

Speaker 3 (07:14):
Bert, can I can I tell Jojo, my co host,
because I don't think he knows the story. Bert thought
that Will Smith and rappers were gonna have sex with him,
and he went into it was it's a great story.
Like I said, you can YouTube it. And the other thing, Bert,

(07:34):
is uh, your drinking speech and the fact and when
you had that speech and it's made it so viral
about how much you love drinking and I am I
am a fan also, but the fact that Jack Osborne,
who's been sober for like fifteen years, text you and
said that speech made me want to start drinking again.

Speaker 2 (07:56):
Yeah, that's fantastic. You know I got I tell you,
you know, I wish there was a way to like
manufacture those events in my life, and I have tried to.
That speech happened on a hungover day on a podcast.
I didn't want to do that. I tried to get
out of that.

Speaker 4 (08:14):
I started drinking, and I was I only.

Speaker 2 (08:16):
Started drinking because you know, sometimes you'll drink to make
things better. Sure, I don't want to be here. Ye
go to Tuesday, drink and I will enjoy myself.

Speaker 1 (08:24):
Bert listen, I know we got to let you go
here real quick. I got one last question for it
because I know we got to wrap up. I know
you take your shirt off, right, that's your thing. You
ever think about getting in shape and just shocking everybody?

Speaker 3 (08:36):
Have you seen him? He has a six back. He
has a six back now. He stopped drinking. He's got Yeah,
he had blood clots and stopped drinking.

Speaker 2 (08:43):
I had to stop drinking for six months. And uh,
and I've gotten in really good shape. As a matter
of fact, I'm no longer the fattest person in my family.
It's my wife.

Speaker 1 (08:52):
Well it's not funny anymore. It's like Jonah Hill, Jonah Hill,
got skinny. He's not funny anymore.

Speaker 2 (08:59):
On hold on, I'll go to the mat with Jonah Hill.
That dude is still talented. He is. He's one of
the best comedic actors of our generation. Hill his fingers every.

Speaker 3 (09:11):
Time, dude, you go back and watch super Bad, that
movie from from from So Good.

Speaker 5 (09:16):
And super Bad beginning So Good. That anything he does
for the rest of his life, he has.

Speaker 2 (09:21):
A pass and more dogs and more dogs dogs. When
he gets he finds the weed for the black guy and.

Speaker 4 (09:28):
He was Jonah.

Speaker 2 (09:32):
Hill is a gangster.

Speaker 1 (09:33):
Yeah, Wolf of Wall Street to man, that's fake t
Brode kidding me.

Speaker 4 (09:38):

Speaker 3 (09:40):

be honest this. I'm gonna end it on this. You
make my life better.

Speaker 2 (09:53):

I just did Rock one O seven in Scranton, Pennsylvania,

they roll into the show this weekend, what can I expect?
I got to get the arena.

Speaker 2 (10:25):
No one shows up to an arena going, I wonder
what's going on here tonight. It's either hockey, basketball or
a comedy show. Let's get tickets and find out.

Speaker 1 (10:33):
Yeah, I had one question I need to get to.
It's if you rolled your car like Tiger Woods. Who's
the first person you're calling?

Speaker 2 (10:38):
Can't be your wife?

Speaker 4 (10:39):

Speaker 3 (10:43):

Speaker 2 (10:44):
