for the last couple of hours. I needed to provide
my eighty three cents on BAM last night against the Wizards,
and here's the thing I don't know if this is
too strong or not. I'm definitely biased with this because
of my love, my longtime admiration for Kobe Bryant as

a player. But I think the whole thing is a sham.
I really do. And it's not just because it rhymes
with the word bam. I just think the whole thing
is an absolute, complete sham. And I think there's two
ways this would have been remembered, and one of them
is him as a villain and the others is him
as a hero. If you would have gone out and
scored like seventy nine and then left the floor and

then said post game, you know what, we're playing the
whiz or it's a meaningless game. In March, I got
found a million times. I didn't think it was right
to surpass Kobe's eighty one. But listen, I scored thirty
one points in the first quarter. What am I supposed
to do? They were fouling me. I thought it was
appropriate to get where I went, But I didn't want
to pass eighty one because I just thought it was
ridiculous considering the way the game was being played. But
to do not all things are equal, like eighty three

you foul to get the ball back up twenty five

in which he went out and scored the eighty three points. Now,
not everyone's going to agree with that, but and I

recognize it is a strong take, but I've felt that
way since last night. Not to take away from him
as a player. He's a great player. He could have
had a great night without the forty three free throw
attempts and all the absurdities of the final quarter. But
eighty three points in that manner is not eighty one
points the way Kobe did it. It's not and I
don't even know how Will did it. And people questioned

whether he did or not in Hershey, but we have
the sign obviously. I mean everyone was five to five
and he was seven five.

is not what I would want from a league perspective

they look like they were in on on getting Bam

This thing in the Kobe game against the Raptors, people
forget in that game, the Lakers were losing by fifteen

and won the game. I know the Raptors were like
fourteen and twenty seven at the time, but Jalen Rose
was still a pretty good player in the NBA. Keishn George,
I'm sorry, Like the Wizards do not have elite, elite
front court. I mean, he's a guard, but did you
not have an elite front court to get after Bam.
So while Bam deserves praise for scoring eighty three points,
anytime you score eighty three, that's impressive. When people are

like when Otani had his fifty to fifty day in Miami.

five minutes of that game, when it was like, you know,

with it. If they were nine against the Wizards in

left him in there in a six point game and
his last three guys from eighty to eighty three, zero
issue with it, because it's in the flow of a game.
But when you do it out agreed, which is what
you're doing. You're playing the Washington Wizards, and you're fouling

better pass rusher than Trey Hendrickson, not by much. Trey
Hendrickson has led the league in sacks two years ago

and on a terrible Cincinnati defense even though he's three
years older. Way, we can just sign Trey Hendrickson away
from the Cincinnati Bengals, keep our two first round draft
picks versus trading for Max Crosby. Because the thing where
I would hear that the they actually failed the physical
is if Max Crosby hadn't gotten the surgery and all

of a sudden they check out his knee and realize,
oh wait, he's not going to be ready for opening
week at the NFL season. He got the surgery in January.
They've known when they traded for him that his knee
has been a problem, and yet they still traded for him.

that a player of his magnitude for this to happen
