Speaker 1 (00:00):
By from higher Top Monroe Center in downtown Grand Rapids.
We're talking about what matters most to you when West
Michigan joined the Conversation Now at six one six seven
seven four twenty four twenty four at six one six
seven seven four twenty four, it's West Michigan Live with
Justin Barklay on Wood Radio for.
Speaker 2 (00:21):
A fantastic show. Glanford a dam big news, the President
in the state and men. Amen. We got lots of
big breaking stories, including this one out in MacComb County yesterday.
The clerk there, Anthony Ferlini, who's running for Secretary of State,
blowing the whistle, bringing the alarm, hundreds of non citizens'
(00:43):
injury pools, voter database, all of it approved by the
Secretary of State, current Secretary of State, the Democrat Jocelyn Benson.
We'll get into that. He'll join us coming up on
the program too.
Speaker 1 (00:58):
Lots of the chefs use weather and traffic. I'm his
stories of the day. We're talking about what matters most
in West Michigan and beyond. This is the Big three
now see speak three.
Speaker 2 (01:13):
Yeah, the stories of mattermost should be talking about these
around the water cool the dinner table. No matter where
you are powered and a lot of your good friends
at Heartland Home Mortgage and yes I've got mortgage. Interest
Rate News will break it down, coming up with Dave
Gallaway in moments. But in the meantime, HHM lending dot com.
Get ahead of yourself, go to the website or maybe
(01:33):
call them, make a plan to do that today, because
if you've been thinking about refinancing, are you even thinking
about buying a home, maybe even thinking about getting your
debt on lock, now's the time to really start getting
those plans in motion and we'll fill you in why
coming out. Yeah, the big ones today, the Trump stories
(01:54):
are massive. The President ordering a trade embargo on Iran
twenty five percent tariff on any country that violates so
necessary situation here, he says, must be done to move
things in the right direction there as they really start
to apply the pressure. Now we're hearing numbers of it
to two thousand people dead there and around because of
(02:17):
those protests. He says, anybody doing any sort of business
will put up twenty five percent tariff on that country
as they edge closer to a revolutionary event there inside
the country. President also making very big news back home
every new AI data center getting its own power from
(02:40):
the tech company instead of wheezing off the juice, as
poly Shore used to say, you know, weis it off?
Ourn't grid good? That was a good wonder, Polly Shore.
I'm telling you this has been one of the biggest
issues and complaints about data centers. In fact, they canceled
that meeting because they're just had enough room in loll
(03:02):
to figure that one out here last night. I think
they obviously could have used like a school gymnasium or
a church or someplace. Maybe these don't want to have
the meeting, and that's okay. If you don't want to
do that, you tell us. But there were so many
people coming out outspoken, ready to talk about why they
didn't want this. And one of the reasons is it's
(03:24):
going to make your power bills go up through the roof.
Many people estimate as the President makes this push, it
would have these companies not only developing their own power source,
but then that power source, they say, will then feed
the grid. I've heard Howard Lutnik point this out when
Tudor Dixon was filling in for clan Buck a couple
(03:46):
of weeks back over the holidays. That's what he said,
that's their plan. What a sell if that's a situation
that really has people I think considering this and thinking
about it differently. But we'll have that conversation come up
in Tech Talk with our good friend Trink. Can it
be affordable? Lifestore Link, Michigan Drive, a stand down on
Grand River Tech and the President in Detroit today at
the Detroit Economic Club. It'll be touring a Ford Motor
(04:09):
facility talking about economics and how the turnaround is happening
even here in Detroit and in the state of Michigan
with a focus pedal to the metal. Is it time
to refinance? Orgage rates dropping below six percent for the
first time in years. I saw this yesterday and I
(04:31):
said send it over to Dave Galloway, our good friend
at Hartlet Homeworkers like, wait a minute, is this legit?
And he said, in fact it is. Some of these
rates are already moving and they could go even lower.
There's a couple of reasons for that, and we'll talk
about it with Dave coming up in just moments and
you can join the program as well. You get on
(04:53):
the phone. Here's the way to do it. Six' one
six seven seven twenty four to twenty. Five The iHeartRadio
Opp you click that smashed that little microphone button next
to the play, button and you can rent rive sound
off comment complaint take a number.
Speaker 1 (05:11):
Called justin now at six one six seven seven four
twenty four twenty. Four that's six one six seven seven
four twenty four to twenty, Four West Michigan live With
Justin barklay On News RADIO wouod thirteen hundred and one
oh six nine F.
Speaker 2 (05:25):
M and, uh the old fashioned way there is kind
of like, fax and it almost you, know people still
use this Email justin At justin barclay dot. COM i
know it's, something isn't. It Uh, so LIKE i, said
we got a huge array of stories today and none of,
them in, fact uh smaller than the. Other they're all really.
(05:45):
Big on top of it, all we have The Supreme
court set to start hearing those landmark, cases a couple
of women's sports. Cases they're talking about it On Fox
news right.
Speaker 3 (05:56):
NOW i, mean if they ruled in favor of the
descent here that every women's sports team in the country
would technically be. Illegal what it would open the door
for is opportunistic men to merely say they are a
woman to then participate on women's teams and win gold,
medals and to have access to women's locker, rooms which
allows for women to ultimately be harmed in the. Process
(06:20):
AND i think, it you, know you look AT i
think especially college sports or high level, sports it would
allow for coaches to be open to recruiting, men because
of course they get paid on the success of their.
Team SO i think it opens a door of an
array of issues that could potentially happen if we don't
see a favorable outcome, here Which i'm confident that we
(06:42):
will with the makeup of the court as it stands.
Now of, Course i'm no legal mind. Here we have
it doesn't know what women before we.
Speaker 4 (06:51):
Go what's the atmosphere? Like there are there a.
Speaker 3 (06:54):
Lot of protesters or supporters of the issue either. WAY
i was told they're are going to be upwards of
forty six thousand protesters here In, WASHINGTON dc. Today but even, Still,
dana there is a level of camaraderie and morale when
you link arms with other, women other people who have
(07:15):
been fighting this.
Speaker 2 (07:16):
Fight Riley, gaines friend of the. Program they're In, washington D.
C in front of The supreme court for that. Moment as,
again we're not going to get a ruling, today but
they will begin to start to hear the oral. Arguments
is all of that comes. Down so we got another
big story that we'll be. Watching i'm sure we'll get
some clips out of those oral arguments today as. Well
(07:38):
so there's just so much, happening you. Know the good
news is we are going to make sure that you
are abreast of it. All so don't go anywhere. Again
you want to join the, program we can do that.

NEWS i want to thank the folks at The good
Feed store for powering the program today and every, day
keeping me on my feet and on my toes with
all the stories that we have to cover each and every.
Day today is one of those days where we are
just wall to wall with all the big, headlines the big,
updates the big news, stories everything that you need to.
Know in, fact we'll get right to. THEM i got,
(10:36):
big big updates in the interest rate world could really
impact your wallet in a in a major. Way we'll
talk about that on the, Way but, first how about your?
Feet how are you impacted on a daily, basis whether
you're a work or. Play if you're on your feet
all the, time the stone need to not be in.
Comfort get back step into The Good Feed store. Today
(10:57):

playing and with the girls pulling me, around doing all
the fun stuff that we do on a daily, BASIS

twenty Eighth, street right front Of, costco or in a
portage On westage in front Of. Holes go into The
Good Feed store today and experience comfort once, again because it's.
Important we need you to be comfortable and ready to
(11:19):
run at any moment's. Notice speaking of, running, folks it
is big. News AND i keep looking at this going
what in the world is? Going AND i don't know
that many people saw this, coming but you've GOT i
had to send. IT i told YOU i had to
send this To dave and, say wait a, minute is this?
Legit is this a real? Story mortgage rates just fell
(11:40):
below six percent for the first. Time Dave galloway From
heartland Holl mortgage with this right, now to talk about
this story and. Share he told, me, yes it actually.
Is some of you got to you gotta maybe break
it down for, Us. Dave but we've seen these we've
seen these. Rates we've seen some movement here. Lately tell
us what's going on and what's causing.
Speaker 6 (11:59):
It, yeah THE fed breat drop has had a significant
effect on. That in, addition like we've talked about many
times on your, show most of this stuff comes to, speculation,
Right it's like what do they think is going to
happen in the. Future so that's driving a lot of
what these banks and investors are. Doing and so, yeah
we've seen probably over the last couple of, MONTHS i
(12:23):
THINK i haven't done the matrix on, it but over
fifty percent of the loans we've closed in the last
two months have been below six, percent and we're really,
approaching like on that fifteen year, loan getting close to
the four you, know high, force and so significant improvements
and really historically, speaking just fantastic rates from what we've
(12:44):
seen in the. Past and it is cheaper, money especially
when you talk about people that are at twenty seven
percent on credit, CARDS i mean a five percent mortgage
or in the fives is pretty manageable. Money it doesn't
obviously overcome the higher prices of, home but it certainly
makes it more.
Speaker 2 (13:02):
Affordable so how much of this is due to what
we saw last? Week we heard obviously that the interest
rates with the fat and the change is, There but
how much of this is due to the fact That
trump said he wanted to buy some.
Speaker 6 (13:18):
Bonds, yeah the announcement that he Ordered fanny And freddy
to buy it two hundred billion worth of mortgage backed.
Securities that's usually going to have a really big effect
on what's going.
Speaker 2 (13:30):
On have seen that? Yet is this baked and yet
or is that still yet to?
Speaker 6 (13:35):
Come it's, Coming but once, again everything's based on, speculation,
Right so when they, confirmed because obviously he likes to
say things and sometimes they'll happen and sometimes they. Won't
BUT i Believe, polti who's the head OF hud announced
that it. Is it is, happening and it won't be
something that happens on like you, know they drop a
hat and it's. Purchased it's usually something that's it happens
(13:58):
at you, know in crements over. Time either, way it's
it's a positive thing for interest. Rates when they make
those announcements and it helps drive down the. Rates AND
i really think he's trying to just buy some time
Until powell's term is, done because then they feel they're
going to have they're going to be able to do
more aggressive than What powell would be as far as dropping.
Speaker 2 (14:18):
Rates so let's let's take another step back and look
at another big announcement that he's. Head the other, day
he said he wants these credit card companies who have
these outrageous rates twenty thirty percent whatever some people are,
paying he wants them to come down for ten percent
for a. Year AND i saw a guy talking about
(14:39):
how he believes that an explosion of boom is about
ready to come in the next year or so for
for lots of folks in for the economy and several
different with one of the things that he really, recommended
and this is Some Dave, ramsey but it really does make.
Sense it's, like there are a lot of people That
i've just been crushed with this credit card stuff right,
now and if you're able to bring the rates down
to ten, percent maybe they can make those. Payments but even,
(15:02):
better maybe he, said if you're already making payments you
can have those cards paid off in the next, year
get your house in, order and get things cleared. Up
and as far as the home equity line of credit,
goes we start looking at these how much would that
play into that? Strategy and what do you recommend people?
(15:24):
DO i mean, know everybody's, different but right now we've
got some interesting set of circumstances.
Speaker 6 (15:29):
Here, yeah anytime you can take debt and reduce the
interest on, it it gives you. Opportunity, now are you
going to use that opportunity to acquire more? Debt because
if you, do then it's really not accomplishing what the
goal is is to eliminate that. Debt but if you're
looking at it and, Saying i'm maxed out of my,
BUDGET i can't pay my bills, down and now you
(15:50):
get that relief on interest and so my monthly payments,
minimum which means IF i stick to my, BUDGET i
will eliminate my debt a lot, faster which is always
the best way to, go right is you should you
don't want to pay interest in this. World you want
to receive interest on money you're able to. Save so,
YEAH i think it could very well have a positive,
effect you, know but anytime government gets involved and and you,
(16:13):
know creates new, regulation there's always a there's always a you,
know a side effect of that, too and does it you,
know will it create more debt by doing? That so
it would remain to be. SEEN i, MEAN i think
it would be, great but, yeah the end all goals
should be getting rid of the credit card debt and
then not using it.
Speaker 2 (16:29):
Again. Yeah what you're getting at, HERE i think is
what a lot of, folks particularly right now on the
right particularly are looking, at is, singing you, know these these.
Things you, know he's getting involved in doing some things
that we don't necessarily we don't like in theory and,
principle maybe not necessarily what we want to see, done
(16:50):
particularly when the left does, it we really don't like.
It but when when you, know because it kind of sounds,
like you, KNOW i saw somebody in the chat say capital,
control and that's like what Mom donnie wants to do
and is doing In New York, city and that goes
a completely different. Direction but he seems to be taking
a different approach in sort of an emergency situation to
(17:14):
use these levers that have been put there that he
didn't put there to try and get the country back on.
Track and it's a gamble because if it, works, boy
it really pays. Off and if, not that's a whole other.
Question AND i wanted to put you in that hot
seat to conjecture on. That but just how does that
impact people? Specifically and how can you be smart right?
Speaker 6 (17:34):
NOW i mean how it affects? People you, know one
of the in your comments they have, below he's talking
about making it to where large investment companies cannot buy
single family. HOMES i, mean it sounds good on the,
surface but once, again are we free, market you, know
free capital or? Not and that's not what that would.
(17:56):
Say SO i don't know what it then drived o
own home prices right because you eliminate some of the,
competition so making it more, affordable some people can buy.
Houses but then again you're driving down the. Price so
there's two sides to you, know every. Story so, YEAH
i think there could be some positives to, it and
the biggest way to take advantage of it is to
(18:17):
look at the conditions where you're at right. Now excuse,
Me so if you're you, know like we talked about
rates being fantastic right, now home prices are starting to
kind of mellow a little, bit and we're seeing it
in other areas of the country more so where the
prices have come. Down but the signs are there that you,
know in The West, Michigan michigan, area you could be
trending back into a buyer's, market and that's. Fantastic if
(18:40):
you have lower rates and you have home price is
coming down or sewing down a little, bit we're going
to get more people in, houses and evidbly that's what we,
want Right it's become a, homeowner see That american dream
and use. That you know. That you, know we've talked
about the net worth of homeowners in this country and
it's just so far out paces those who don't own a.
Home so that's inevitably what you want all this to
(19:00):
do is drive home ownership for. People but, yeah how
much government gets, involved plus all of the stuff he talks,
about it's going to go to the, courts, RIGHT i,
mean as soon as he announces is SOMEBODY i file
Loss so you can't do, that and then we'll have
to wait it out and see what happens.
Speaker 2 (19:14):
Here it Is Heartland Home. Mortgage Dave gataway with the
latest hhmlending dot. Com, dave people want to reach, out
find out whether it's maybe buying that, home maybe your first,
home lots of different options for, you or home, equity
line of credit and refinancing some, folks maybe even looking
at that right. Now either, Way dave got, away the
team go to point you in the right direction AT
(19:35):
hhm lending dot. Com thank, you my. Friend always a,
pleasure and, man things are really starting to heat, up aren't.
Speaker 6 (19:41):
They, absolutely we always keep. Watching thanks for having me.
Speaker 2 (19:45):
On we'll have you back for. Updates, well, folks a
Tech talk segment you won't want to. Miss speaking of The,
president he's here in the state, today he's In. DETROIT
i don't know if we'll get comments on, it but
THE ai data center making the move to make them
all produce their own energies pretty big. Stuff we'll talk
about that in Our Tech talk segment after this On
(20:06):
West Michigan. Live we are absolutely cooking. Today. Man we
are moving fast and furious through the day's. Headlines we
got a few to cover here in Our Tech talk
segment coming, up and then later about nine forty five or,
so we're going to be talking with the clerk from
A Conk County Anthony. Feline he's running for A secretary
Of state In michigan as A republican and he's, discovered,
(20:30):
well this is just incredible to imagine that this is even.
Possible but he's discovered some really wild. Things non citizens
on voter. Rolls The secretary Of, state they're allowing it to,
Happen Jocelyn benson. Apparently and they're injury pools. Too but
first let's get To, trent our good friend From Affordable
(20:52):
Lizeestore Lake Michigan drive and stand down of Course Grand
River tech for the latest update and big most And
trump on THE ai data. Centers you're gonna want to
hear attack.
Speaker 1 (21:00):
Into the latest in tech and how it affects you
and your. World this Is Tech Talk tuesday On Wood,
Radios West Michigan.
Speaker 2 (21:09):
Live welcome, Man Trick can it? Be and, yeah you,
know this is probably the biggest, story BECAUSE i think
it's the biggest story of the, year THE ai data
centers in the. Fight what is coming on one, hand
from the country's, perspective From trump's, perspective the president of
all is the national security. Reasons we've got to be
ahead of the. Fight we can't Let china win THIS ai.
(21:31):
Fight and on the other, hand citizens are concerned ABOUT
ai and data centers in their. BACKYARD i totally get,
that and there's a number of different. Reasons one of
them is they're concerned about what's going to happen to
their electric, bills maybe environmental. Issues there are all kinds
of different things at play, here but The president seems
(21:54):
to have at least taken care of the energy portion.
Here listen to what he posts On Trump True social under,
Sleep Jo, biden the radical Left, democrats the Average american
households monthly utility bills went up, massively over thirty. PERCENT
i never Want americans to pay higher electricity bills because
of data. Centers, therefore my administration is working with Major
american technology companies to secure their commitment to The american,
(22:17):
people and we will have much to announce in the coming.
Weeks first up As, microsoft who my team has been working. With,
essentially what he wants to do is he wants to
force these data center, companies THESE ai, companies to produce
their own, energy their own, electricity and have their own
(22:40):
power plants on. Site, essentially then they would be also
able to contribute to the, grid Which i've heard them
talk about as. Well whether that happens or, Not i'm exactly,
sure but interesting, Point, trent welcome. In we appreciate this
is a big.
Speaker 1 (22:53):
Story, ye good, Morning.
Speaker 7 (22:56):
Justin, yes it is definitely a big story because everybody's
been talking about. This everybody knows this is going to
increase electricity, rates natural gas rates because the quickest way
for THESE ai plants to spool up is to use
the existing grid in their systems when they can afford,
to and they can create their own power through nuclear
(23:18):
through their own, energy though it is, difficult and the
raise is the. Cost SO i want to, Say, Justin
i'm not the biggest fan OF ai and all this,
stuff but it is helping us in some ways because
The trump administration is obviously looking at, online real live
public opinion that is swirling everywhere in conversation and posts and,
(23:41):
everything and they're seeing this data come in real time
THROUGH ai systems and, saying, hey if we don't address
this increasing power rates and, things people are going to
be very. Upset it's going to hurt the. Economy so
and one WAY ai is already working to combat the
negativities of, itself WHICH i find pretty.
Speaker 2 (23:59):
Impressive train can it be affordableized To Orligmachigan drive and
grander ver. Tech we just see That facebook goes nuclear
to POWER. Ai we've seen stories about this and some
of the other things that they've been using as. Well
but essentially what he's saying is you'll have to have
your own power source on site and be able to
power whatever it, is whatever project you're working. On and
(24:21):
we see a lot moving in THE ai world right.
Now this is only going to heat up in the
next year or. So by the, way Former trump advisor
named as a new president Of. Facebook LIKE i, said
we're a little bit short on time for our tech
segment today because we got to get to our next.
Guest But Dina powl McCormick joining meta The facebook family
as president and vice. Chairman that all sort of ties
(24:46):
into what we're talking. About speaking OF. AI i saw
this Story, Apple apple's got to deal With, google And
i've seen a lot ABOUT ai lately and whether or
Not chat GPT's parent, Company Open ai Or microsoft or
who however it might, be we'll be controlling THE ai.
World but let's talk About google, lately and that just
(25:07):
makes me wonder Because apple says That google apparently and
THEIR ai is going to help Power. Siri now that
may ask a lot of folks to especially that are
looking At google thinking about how that company, works whether
or not you want to Use siri or not on
your phone. Anymore do you have any concerns about?
Speaker 7 (25:27):
This, yeah justin OBVIOUSLY. Ai you know the issue is
a security, privacy you, know rights protections with this. ALL
i have no way to vet that justin because this
is so new and cutting, edge but something along those.
LINES i just saw an article That Pete hegseth is
going to Allow grock as well As OPEN ai to
(25:51):
have access to classified and unclassified information on a government,
level you, know information. Level so if the government is
trusting this or supposedly trusting, this or if there is
a trust issue in the bigger, PICTURE i think the
government should be concerned about that versus us as mere
(26:12):
people's conversations about you know. Whatever but, YES i hope
it can be. TRUSTED i don't see them giving us
good assurances understanding how we can trust. IT i hope
they can release information to us as a.
Speaker 8 (26:23):
Public i'm very skeptical.
Speaker 2 (26:25):
Personally trent can that be a fertilized store lingmis can
drive and stand down on tech. Talk apparently monkeys are
all in the loose In Saint. LOUIS i don't know
if you saw the, story but it makes it really
hard for folks to find these. Monkeys apparently police and
whatnot as they're searching BECAUSE ai is now adding to the.
Confusion people are faking MAYBE, ai whether this is a
(26:48):
real sighting or not of these. Monkeys to find these,
monkeys they're BLAMING ai for. NOW i don't know how
legitimate this, is but it is kind of funny BECAUSE
i told you we talked about this number of. Times
you get to a time where you're not gonna be
able to believe anything you see because OF. Ai is
that the case?
Speaker 7 (27:02):
Here justin AND, i LIKE i mentioned before about The
trump administration using common public, opinion there are systems that
law enforcement use or public services used to, say, hey
what's being posted out? There and obviously they're if they're
scanning for images of these these monkeys on the loose
and they're getting fake, images that's throwing them way. Off
(27:25):
SO ai has its own accountability there where it can
fool itself very.
Speaker 2 (27:30):
Easily monkeys on the. LOOSE ai involves what could go? Wrong,
trent always a, pleasure my. Friend thank you for taking
the time to be here with us drinking to be.
Affordabilized Storelinke misi can drive and stand down for your
personal needs or Grant River tech where they can help
you with all of those needs that you may. Have
from a business. Perspective they do such a great job
(27:50):
and if you reach, Out i'm sure they'd be more
than willing to help you with anything that you're dealing.
With thank, you my.
Speaker 7 (27:55):
Friend Thanks, justin have a great day you.
Speaker 2 (27:58):
Too god blessed coming. Out he's the clerk And MacComb
county And anthony For lenny running For secretary Of state
here In michigan as A republican has discovered all kinds
of well let's just call Them, shenanigans hundreds of non,
citizens hundreds of non, citizens injury, pulls and a. Database
(28:21):
you're going to want to hear this. Story don't go.
Anywhere we're back after this On West Michigan.
Speaker 4 (28:24):
Line you're your headlines from The midwestern or This, Tuesday january,
Thirteenth I'm Robin. Poffman it's A Midwesterner dot news original,
Story Alan park holds off on approving a data center
after a big hearing residence overwhelmingly opposed this plan during

Speaker 2 (29:23):
News it's a massive. Story just announced yesterday The clerk
Of Maccom county running For secretary Of state as A
republican here In. Michigan anthony For, lady blowing the doors
right off on this, one apparently discovering shenanigans when it
comes to non citizens and the jury. Pools and. More,
(29:48):
clerk thank you for taking the, time, sir to be
here with us today and sure with us study what you.
Found this is really alarming for, folks and it should be.
Speaker 8 (29:59):
Justin it makes the hair on the back of my neck.
Curl is when we. Discovered sitting in a meeting with
my supervisors and we were talking about the problem with
the jury, pool and we were talking about how many
people are calling off or sending their green cards in
that they cannot serve because they're not. Citizens, RIGHT i, thought,
(30:24):
well how do they ever get on that list to begin?
WITH i, mean why would they have been on that
list to be to serve on a? Jury and so
we disqualify. Them and SO i asked my, SUPERVISOR i,
said how many we have of? THESE i, mean this
is a bureaucratic nightmare that we're dealing, with that we've
got to do this with so many. People, well it
turned out Since september, fifth we had about two hundred
and thirty nine people that were self reporting non. Citizens
(30:49):
self reporting is the key. Word they're the ones that
told us two hundred and thirty. Nine and then it
occurred to, me BECAUSE i do the clerks have multiple
functions department in another building is. ELECTIONS i, said let's
take these two hundred and thirty, nine let's apply them
against THE. Qvf i'm just, curious just curious what we
(31:09):
come up. With and it blew my mind away that
there were fourteen people that were non citizens in our
election database at some point in. Time, okay but here's
what is even more. Disturbing that's disturbing. Enough three of
them actually. Voted one of them voted multiple. Times they
(31:34):
got we got a voting record that they voted multiple.
Times so we'll. See so you look at this jury
pool of two thirty. Nine five percent of those non
citizens ended up on THE, qvf and of that, number
twenty one percent have. Voted that to me is. Disturbing
and THEN i had to back up a live and
say why and how did this. Happen take a look
(31:55):
at The michigan voter registration. Application it says right up
front at the top quality, CATIONS i am A us,
citizen yes or?
Speaker 7 (32:02):
No.
Speaker 8 (32:03):
Uh you, know some people, think, well, Yeah i've lived
here for a long, TIME i feel Like i'm a.
Citizen yes all? Right, Uh and it goes sound. Further
how do you prove? It you have to put your driver's,
license or if you don't have a driver's put Your
michigan issued A STATE I. D or or Your Social security.
Number but if you don't have, that just check us.
(32:24):
BOXES i don't have a Valid michigan issued driver's license
or A michigan Issued STATE I d or A Social security,
number you're good to. Go, Wow because there's nothing in
the state at the state. Level our system is. Flawed
there's nothing in the state level that says we're gonna
check on, You we're gonna we're gonna look and see
(32:46):
if you're really a. Citizen And President trump has talked
about that where we need a national database where local,
uh local clerks or The secretary Of state's office can
double check and make sure there you citizens so they
don't trip themselves up and get themselves into the. System maybe, inavertently, yeah.
Speaker 2 (33:07):
Intently this is a question how do we clean this?
UP i, mean this isn't the first time we were
told forever that it didn't, happen.
Speaker 8 (33:17):
You, know, WELL i think this is the. First, YEAH
i think it is the first time it's ever been
proven through a system of how the system, works and
and so how does it how do you fix? IT, i,
well there's a lot of a lot that needs to
get done to clean it. Up but going, forward there
should be a system within the state. Level And i'm
(33:38):
sure The Citizens First initiative Or Citizens Only voting initiative
that's out, There, uh that's going to say right, there
we need to prove at the state level that these
people are actually qualified to vote because they ARE us.
Citizens not self?
Speaker 2 (33:56):
Reporting, well any of these people or did any of
these people actually serve on?
Speaker 8 (34:01):
Juries that's the unknown because it's self. Reporting how would
we know That we don't. Know matt brought that up
to The Chief judge Bearn at and he says this to,
me is it sounds pretty serious because some of these
people that did not, report we wouldn't have. Known and
is it potentially that somebody along the line served in
(34:24):
a jury. POOL i think it's possible because there's not
protocols put in place to prevent it from happening other
than self. Reporting have you trained these people are, Embarrassed
maybe they want to serve on the. Jury maybe they
feel good about. It they feel, like all, RIGHT i
feel like An. American i'm Gonna i'm going to serve
on this jury without realizing the. Ramifications have you turned.
Speaker 2 (34:47):
This over to law enforcement and what would they what
would they possibly do to take the next steps.
Speaker 7 (34:53):
Or anything they can.
Speaker 8 (34:53):
Do we, have we've turned it over to law enforcement
and we're dealing with them as we. Speak as we
speak right, Now i've got to go to the other
building and we've got somebody here that we're turning this over.
Speaker 2 (35:05):
To Anthony felini's the clerk there in McCom, county ball
on the, roof ride off this story, yesterday a story

Speaker 2 (35:31):
Morning, okay, good, well that's good to. HEAR i, mean tell,
ME i, mean how are people taking?
Speaker 8 (35:36):
This you know, What i've seen it on both ends
of the. Aisle it's not just The republicans that are. Upset.
Democrats i've noticed some blogs Of democrats that are just as.
Upset so this isn't a partisan. Issue as we all,
know legitimate voting is a bipartisan. Thing republicans seem to
(35:56):
have taken the the tour with, this But i'm telling
you this is something that As, americans we want to
make sure we're keeping Our american right to vote and
it's not being diluted down with people that shouldn't be.
Speaker 2 (36:15):
Voting and somebody in the chat this morning made this,
point could a non citizen convict a citizen if they
end up, serving help get that done on a jury.
Pool so you know you've got multiple angles of.
Speaker 8 (36:26):
This good.

the current clerk In Macombe county and LIKE i, said
he found. This he discovered this issue where they were
dealing with trying to get people to serve on their
juries and not having. Enough and then people they start
digging and finding out they can't serve because you, know
they're non, citizens et. Cetera and then they start to
(37:25):
compare that, file the file there of the juris what's
in the jury pool list, right and start to care
and contrast it against the qualified. Voterfile it's called THE.
Qvf and then you get a recipe for what he just.
Found The shenanigan's hiding in plain. Sight and to think
nobody's ever done this before yet it really is. Something,
