Welcome into the After Show, The Show, After the Show,

(01:07):
Every adult Moment. Man. We got so much fun. We've
got a great week ahead. And I don't know about you,
but one of my favorite weeks of the entire summer
and the weekend straight ahead in the Independence Day weekend.
And that's why this headline is kind of it kind
of grabs you. I really it hurts to hear this,

(01:30):
But a Gallup has done the poll American pride slipping
to a new low. Why is that? And what is
the solution? In fact, it may not surprise you you
learn that really this is mostly among a certain political
party that feels this way. It may not surprise you
who that is. But we'll talk about all of that.

(01:55):
And like I said, I don't want to just covetch over.
I want to give you solutions. So we'll do that.
Coming up first, thanks to our friends at my pillow,
Miche Lindell. One of the most patriotic, one of the
greatest Americans. It's like a modern day founder, you know,
that's just kind of like it's like one of the
founding fathers, Like these folks that just pledged it all,

(02:18):
you know, their life, liberty, their sacred honor, their treasure,
all of it. That's exactly what he's done. Put it
all up against the line, and that's why it's so
important that we support him today and every day. By
the way, they've got some great sales happening this week, particularly,
and I think you ought to be a part of
the great sales happening this week, particularly at my pillow

(02:41):
dot com slash Justin and mystore dot COM's lash Justin.
Mike's got it all from the betting right, your pillows,
your duvet cover, your sheets. You know. The one thing
I speaking of the way the world is changing, this
is kind of interesting. I think this new generation has
gotten rid of top sheets. Anybody here still use the

(03:04):
top sheet? We can, We've thrown it out. You know,
we have the fitted sheet that goes over and we
have a duvet cover. And that said, we don't do
top sheet of our house. Anybody else or am I
the only one? Maybe I'm the crazy one. But this
new generation, I think you'll find if you you you'll
uphold some of the younger folks. The top sheets have

(03:25):
been the they've been retired. Let me just put it
that way. Whatever, it doesn't matter, whatever you want to
get top sheet included or not. The fourth of July sale,
you can save up to eighty percent off right now
my pillow dot com slash justin, ormstore dot com slash justin.
Mike even has energy drinks now this brand new Rev

(03:48):
seven the next generation of energy drinks to keep you
going and in the fight. Like Mike Lindell on a
daily basis, use promo code justin. You when you do it,
promo code justin and uh, Mike will definitely appreciate your support,
and you will too, because whatever you buy will go
to support Mike and does keep us on the air.
We appreciate you, all right, top sheet. Now we're getting

(04:09):
into a heating debate at an intend this, but I
knew with Torontal's a little bit of a little bit
of discussion here. Mike Leadell's a national hero. You're right, Jason,
I actually do think I think this would be fantastic.
Trump should give him the Medal of Freedom. Kim does
not use the top sheet, Star still uses it, Kathy

(04:30):
always uses it, Paula using the top sheet. Gotta use
the top sheet. Dean says, buddy, you need a top sheet.
Don't mess with my top sheet, guys. It just gets
in the way. It just gets in the way. I
don't understand it. Why would we want that? Melissa says,
I use my top sheet. It helps to keep you cool.

(04:50):
But my youngest son doesn't use him. He will here.
I just think, Melissa, I think it just adds another layer.
It keeps me bogged down, and it keeps me I
don't know. I think it's it makes me hotter, especially
this time here. I don't want I just don't want
a lot in there messing things up. But the twenty
five year old, your twenty five year old does not

(05:12):
use the See that's what's sad that need. The new
generation has gotten rid of it. Marvel says, I always do.
Ruth does too. Sherry says no. She says, uh, wait
a minute, I don't know if this is about it.
She says, yes, but it is happening. It is just
as agitating. I thought she was telling it on the
top sheet, because that's why I find it's agitating. Love
my sheets, and yes, I use my top sheet. And

(05:35):
John free pass Okay, John, thanks thanks for joining. I
don't understand the insanity of some of these people who
come in and just say random, stupid things that have
nothing to do with what we're talking about. Uh, it
is whack of troll Tuesday, and then everyone uses top

(05:57):
sheets that I you know. Shuran says, well, you know me,
and I gotta tell you I'm top sheet free. I
can't believe it. Lots of people defending the top sheet here.
I love my top sheet as my blanket. Oh oh,
that's interesting. That's an interesting thought. See. I don't feel
like there's enough covering me though. At that point, I

(06:19):
like to be inside the duvet, like inside that cover.
It makes me feel like an extra layer of protection.
The top sheet not so much. I detest the top sheet,
Melissa said, if finally somebody who was some real comet sense.
I use the top sheet for when I paint. See
here you go, KM. I appreciate that. All right, this

(06:41):
debate is going to continue, but I know that Bruce
and the folks like me are on the right path.
No top sheet, top sheet helps protect the blanket. I
don't know about it. I just don't know about that.
I don't know. All right, let's get into the real
meat and potatoes. I know the top sheet is a

(07:03):
fantastic discussion. And by the way, this is probably what's
driving Americans apart. Heated debates about top sheets and more. Now,
I really think this is a problem. And I'm going
to tell you why not. The top sheet not betting
at all, but this this headline, American pride slips to
a new law comes out this again, gallipas this done.

(07:25):
And you know, I just say this, the fact that
it's coming out this week. And by the way, you
realize this is a two hundred and forty ninth birthday
of this great nation. Next year will be the two
hundred and fiftieth, and that's that's incredible to me. It

(07:47):
is no wonder that it's coming as it's uniquely timed
to do this. And I buy and and I I think,
I think this is happening. I think it's just I
don't Obviously this does illustrate what's going on, but I
think it is just proof of the attack that's been

(08:10):
set upon the country. And I'll break it down. There's
a couple of reasons why this might be okay, So
you could really talk about this okay from a number
of different reasons. But I think the most important piece
of this is there are people that hate the country
running it. Don't forget Obama was president for eight years

(08:32):
and then Joe Biden another four that's twelve years, and
the last Oh Obama goes back to two thousand and eight.
Well that's almost twenty years, right, been a short reprieve
when President Trump was president for four years, and now
we're back into that that mode and you see how

(08:53):
fast and far the pendulum has swung. But all the
damage they did, and you say, Obama, how could he
possibly do all that damage? Or Biden? But he's not
just Obama or Biden. They are just cogs in the machine.
They are just symptoms of the real issue. In fact,
there are so many other folks, as you've seen since

(09:14):
President Trump has taken office again and you talk about
that deep state, and he's trying to root some of
these folks out, and they got to get even more
done and they will. But this, to me, this is
just a piece of that example. This is a piece
of the example, just sort of the proof of the
existence of it. These people hidden inside every level and

(09:39):
layer of not just government, but institutions, education, higher education,
the media, you name it, and it's pushing us further
and further apart because they don't really like the country.
They don't feel like the country was ever good. That's
why they just detest make America great again. They don't
ever feel like it was ever great. They just don't

(10:06):
feel like it was ever worth celebrating. So that's when
you look at this number, you think to yourself, just
fifty eight percent of Americans now say they're extremely or
very proud to be American, the lowest number since Gallup
did this in a quarter century. We look at this number,
you think to yourself, how could it even possibly be.
When you dig into the numbers and you get even

(10:26):
closer into this, you find out it's Democrats and some
of the younger generations. Republicans not so much. Republicans ninety
two percent say they are proud or very proud of
the country ninety two percent. That is a massive difference,

(10:46):
And you have to wonder why, what could possibly lead
to that. I just want you to understand this. Let
it sink in. I mean, folks, we storm the beaches
of Normany, we planted a flag on the moon. They
blessed bon Jovi through tiny speakers there while the Berlin

(11:10):
Wall crumbled. So much to be proud of in this country.
Yet in twenty twenty five, nearly half of our neighbors.
You're looking at him, they shrug and say, the very
idea of this country is well, just that something they're
proud about. And among gen Z it's even worse. Only

(11:34):
forty one percent feel much pride at all. Part of
it is, as we have just come through the month
of June, they've been asked to have pride in different things,
not in the country. They've been asked to have pride
in their sexuality, or their proclivities, or whatever thing that
it is, the thing of the day that makes them special.

(11:56):
That's one of the things that democrats dead in Obama particularly,
was putting together these coalitions, these voter blocks, these coalitions,
these just groups of people who felt marginalized. Celebrating them
each in every way and in their own way made
them feel pride in whoever they were and whatever they were,

(12:17):
and their individual identity became more important than their identity
as a nation. So they became more prideful of that
didn't care for the nation. It was all about me,
not about we. Now, some of this is a cycle.
If you already read Fourth Turning, or if you got
into the generation's work where these people actually study this stuff,

(12:40):
and they again to talk about the pendulum swinging, etc.
That's where we are. We're in that moment me versus we.
We've been at a very mean moment for a long time.
In fact, Boomers, some of you boomers, you came directly

(13:02):
out of a WEI moment into a ME moment. And
that's why boomers have such me Not to attack you.
I don't want you to feel attacked. I know you
might because we're very me centered. But boomers are very
me centered, and they tend to make decisions based upon
That's why so many have been co opted by the left.
By the way, now I'm not talking about you, because

(13:24):
chances are if you're here, you're cut from a different
cloth altogether. But that me versus we thing is big,
and gen Z has been very me focused. Only forty
one percent feel that pride some point, did so tell
you this is just a phase. Maybe it's just a
cycloa hickup. I don't know about that. The same poll

(13:48):
shows thirty nine point pride gap between Republicans and Democrats,
and I just I just think there's no mistaking that.
So we're talking about here as patriotism, the bare minimum
glue that's supposed to hold the left and the right together.
You know, I always talk about two birds of the
same two feathers are two wings of the same bird,

(14:10):
et cetera. Right, it's but are we anymore because even
that glue that's supposed to hold us together is it
don't matter what We still feel the same way, we
love our country, et cetera. That's just not the truth.
And it's fracturing us again. It's being done on perfect.
It's divide and conquer. So what's driving it. Well, for

(14:36):
one thing, we turned civics class. If they even get
it into a constant guilt trip, guilt about your skin color,
guilt about the country and any bad thing it ever did,
or anyone that was ever involved in it. It spends
so much time focusing on the the bad that they
never take a moment to focus on the good or
in fact, the great that this country is engaged in

(15:00):
gonna be skeletons in every closet in every country. You
can't pick a perfect country. There is no perfect country,
there's no perfect people. There's certainly no perfect person. But
this is what this Marxist ideology did. By the way,
the part of this is driven by that whole critical theory.

(15:24):
So you get into the classroom and you go out
and you binge watch outrage instead of neighborly news, good
news that might bring it together. That's one of the
reasons why I always like to show the good news
and share with you and others what is happening in
our country. Our institutions, government media, even the big box churches.

(15:48):
They've treated truth like a debit card. Sometimes they overdraw
the result generation it feels like the American dream comes
with an asterisk and a monthly interest feed. That's why
these people feel this way, because it's been done on purpose.

(16:15):
Now we can get into talking about the how's, the whys,
and the problem even more. But look, you know how
I am. I'd rather talk, at least at this point.
I'd rather talk about the solutions. I want to talk
about how to get us back on track and what

(16:38):
we can do today to turn this tide. So I've
got some things in mind, a couple of solutions I
want to share with you. One of them, in fact,
is part of our sponsor today. I'll explain after this.
The Crown of Independence Day weekend for years has been

(17:00):
the Living in Freedom event at Newchapel. Hey, it's justin Berkley.
This year July sixth, they're hosting Pastor Willie George with
thrilling carnival rides, games inflatables, free food trucks, the car show,
and giveaways including family fun packs at a premium shotgun
and so much more. The best part, it's all free
fun for the whole family. Newchapel a quarter my west

(17:21):
of Alpine in four Mile Living in Freedom July six
Get all the details at Newchapel dot com slash Freedom.
I think one of the things that we need now
more than ever, our experiences, just like this parades, fireworks,

(17:41):
you know, they all land at President Trump and then
they made the little of these derogatory remarks about what
he wanted to do with that that not just the
military parade, but what he wants to do a two
hundred and fiftieth anniversary celebration, the two hundred and fiftieth
birthday of this nation coming out next year in the
Pennis stage line fourth. They don't like anything that celebrates

(18:09):
or brings us together. That's why, in fact, June teenth
a day that is actually a day celebrating something that
the Republicans did. That's Lincoln freeing the slaves and then
his troops going down to spread the word down in Texas,
in fact throughout the country that these slaves are freed.
The Republicans did that, don't make mistake. They did that. Now,

(18:30):
that's how we should celebrate this day. In fact, when
we celebrate June teenth, you should celebrate with red, white
and blue. We should celebrate freedom. We should be talking
about that. Again, that's happening every year June nineteenth. Right, Juneteenth. Now,
this this holiday used to be quite a bit different.
It was celebrated. It was celebrated in Texas for years

(18:57):
and years and years, and in the South right in
other place, it was celebrated for the longest time and
in a different way. Then they decided they were going
to take over the federal holiday. Marxists, folks on the
on the team of we Hate America, right, they're the

(19:20):
ones who decided they were going to they were going
to take this and run with it. And what has
become is a hate America holiday, and they have made
it a holiday where they want to replace Independence Day.
It's the summer holiday, right, you have your Juneteenth celebration,
not your fourth of July celebration or Independence Day. Celebration.

(19:48):
You can even see that in some of the marketing
and graphics that they've made up celebrating freedom. It's Freedom Day.
You know. They even had like a no King in
the No Kings protest and No King's rallies. The original
No King's Day is July fourth, Folks. The other thing

(20:10):
that you'll notice when you see what they've done with
the graphics, etc. Is that the colors are anything but American.
In fact, they almost opposing. They love nothing more to
do this sort of thing. By the way, this is
this whole thing. Now they've made it about it. It's

(20:32):
about this essentially, it's an African American History Day kind
of day, is what they essentially try to make it.
But that's that's not the story of June teenth, is it. No,
it's not to celebrate African Americans, not to detegrate them
or put them down at all either. But June teenth

(20:54):
is really about celebrating Americans and celebrating that, no matter
how bad or how wrong, some in this country had
it for a while. And the interesting situation is that
they didn't stay there. You see, it was the work

(21:15):
of folks on the right, Republicans, and again they will
not tell you this. Good people, good Americans who went
out and fought the fight abolitionists, freed the slaves, and
then folks again America righting the wrong. But to see,

(21:37):
they don't teach that in school. And that is why
we're at where we're at today. You don't have pride
in this country. Pride in the country that for so
long they had gotten it so wrong. Some had gotten
it so wrong that they decided they were never going
to do this again. And of course they were not
going to put up with it anymore, and so they
changed it. They saw the error in their ways and

(22:00):
the morality and the faith the fabric woven in that
they were able to see that, and of course faith
is what drove that and gave them the ability to
see that was wrong and make those changes. So let's
get into the solutions, because this, I believe, is where
the rubber meets the road. This is where we can

(22:23):
turn things around. I mean, if you really want to
turn things around, this is how we do it. Pride
is a muscle. It strengthens with views, and it atrophies
when you let it slide. You want to fix it.

(22:45):
You don't wait for DC's next big Blue Ribbon Commission.
You start local, and you start small, and you start today.
You're resurrect to shared rituals, the Fourth of July, celebrations
of the parade, the Veterans Day, Oriel Day. Drag those
kids out to the parades. We're going to do it.

(23:07):
I'm not much of a parade guy, but we do
it every year. We've got one that's close to us
and that we go. But it doesn't have to be
a special day. It doesn't have to be a parade.
You can stand for the anthem. That's why we play
the anthem on this program. We stand for the anthem. Afterwards,
you talk about why with the kids, why the fireworks

(23:28):
still matter, what it's all about. Really. Then you want
to get even more I think, in depth on this
and more even granular, something that doesn't take large numbers.
But you you can serve. We can go volunteer to VA,

(23:50):
coach little leg, clean up main Street, whatever it is,
wherever you may be. Solve real problems face to face.
And when you do that, America stops feeling like a hashtag,
something abstract, and it really starts to become real tangible.

(24:14):
Number three, tell the whole story. Teach slavery and Jim Crow,
but also teach the Miracle at Philadelphia, the Tuskegee Airman, Selma,
the Apollo Astronauts, teach the real story of Juneteenth. Like

(24:35):
I just told you, context is not whitewash, it's perspective.
Talk about the things that make us uniquely American. Shine
a big bright spotlight on it all for you, for
your kids, for your grandkids. We're all going to do this.

(24:58):
Champion a moonshot number for demand that your reps back
national service, vocational tech pipelines, first home zoning reforms. Maybe
give young Americans a stake, not a lecture. The poll
is not a death now, it's a siren. But we've

(25:18):
been here before different times in our history, at Watergate, Vietnam,
even after nine to eleven's unity spike faded. Each time,
Americans have rebuilt, and we built pride the old fashioned
way by rolling up our sleeves, telling the truth, and
daring the dream bigger, bigger than the latest clickbait catastrophe.

(25:43):
That rage bait that you're seeing online every day is
always pushing or pulling us one way or the other.
So this is it, folks. My challenge simple this Independence Day.
Don't just wave the flag, earn it. Read the Declaration

(26:04):
of Independence out loud at your cookout, shake a veteran's hand,
Actually listen. You'd be surprised if the stories you'll hear.
Maybe post a story of American greatness on your feed,
even watch it get buried by some of the snark

(26:25):
that is posted, and post another tomorrow. Anyway, Share ours,
and I post them online when you see them as
lear Me tell you, folks, if you don't flex that
pride muscle, someone else will, then somebody else will decide
what it means to be American. And trust me, their

(26:47):
definition won't include liberty, it won't include opportunity, and it
sure won't include that pride that each and every one
of us fell. You and I deep down in our
aren't in our soul, the very being of who we are.
It's what keeps us together as a country. America still

(27:14):
the last best hope on this planet. And I know
you never stopped, and I don't intend to either, so
we will continue to act like it. God bless folks.

(27:36):
Just a reminder there's always time to fight the good fight.
There's always time to step up and fight back. So
get in today because we need you now more than ever.
Make it a great one, folks, wishing you the best,
God bless. I got good news and bad news. The

(27:58):
good news is it's a deal to steal for you.
The bad news is I missed out well. I just
bought a bunch of betting. I just bought a bunch
of new pillows and sheets and things from Mike Lindell
at My Pillow, and I didn't get this good of
a deal for a little bit of time. Mike is
selling his pillows, the classic fourteen eighty eight. That's it,
the my Pillow, the thing that started at all just

(28:20):
fourteen eighty eight. He had one of these big box
stores that canceled on him. You know how they do well.
This is actually your win. It's a win for everyone.
Win for Mike because he can unload the pillows at
a great price. It's a win for you because you
get a good deal and you can help support this
program at the same time. Get your pillows for fourteen
eighty eight. When you go to my pillow dot com

all kinds of great things. I love the towels, the
