Live with Justin Barklay on Wood Radio.
Speaker 2 (00:21):
Welcome ahead, folks. What a weekend.
Speaker 3 (00:26):
A little snow, not quite as much as they said
we were gonna get, but I got no complaints about that.
The person. Uh, We've got lots to bring up to
speed on from the weekend updates to the President.
Speaker 2 (00:38):
He was busy, he had.
Speaker 3 (00:39):
A big one and lots of big breaking news stories
yet maybe even coming our way and we're gonna dive
into something. It's it's one of the stories that kind
of I want to pique my interest over the weekend.
The secret weapons used during the Maduro reign in Venezuela.
Speaker 2 (00:57):
Have lots of folks talking, especially our enemies.
Speaker 1 (01:01):
News, weather and traffic. I'm as stories of the day.
We're talking about what matters most in West Michigan and beyond.
This is the Big three now see speak three.
Speaker 3 (01:15):
Yeah, the stories of matter most You'll be talking about
these around the water cool their dinner table, no matter
where you are. Power MYR good friends at Heartlenholm mortgage day,
I've got away and the team his interest rates. Things
really start to shape up. They want to reach out.
You're preparing for maybe to buy the home, maybe to refinance.
Maybe you're taking a look at cutting some of the
(01:37):
credit card debt home e couldy line of credit. And
by the way, there's some good news for you on that, Matt.
Maybe now's a good time to do that. And I'll
tell you why. I'm part of our big three AJJM
Lynding dot com number some big move Trump made over
the weekend, Well, a DOJ is launching a criminal investigation
into people ask when are the arrests coming? One of
(01:57):
the into the had the chair of the FED, the
head of the FED, Jerome Pound in the crosshairs on
this story. He revealed I guess over the weekend and
a criminal investigation tied to his part of the testimony
about the fed's headquarters renovation and whatnot had been underway.
(02:20):
In a video message out, he essentially calls it from
sort of a political hit it is. He says aimed
at applying pressure to force the FED to cut rake
ruts faster and weaken their independence. Now his turn as
(02:41):
a fair FED chair is about to end. That's up
in May, just so you know, but big story talk
about unprecedent, right smack dab in the middle of it.
President Trump says, I Ran starting to cross possibly that
grabbed line with the US as more protesters are dead.
Four hundred and fifty is the last check to the
(03:02):
death toll. President saying that Iran starting to cross that
US red line. Protests are spreading, praying with the folks
in around that they are able to tool get their
freedom and break through that extremist, radical Muslim regime and
the mullas full force. He's even considering a strike on
(03:24):
a round now. They say they want to negotiate, but
that's remains to be seen as what that would be
like and how that would work. We have some audio
clips of that's coming up in a little bit. He
had a little bit of a gaggle on Air Force
one coming back from mar Lago.
Speaker 2 (03:37):
Over the weekend.
Speaker 3 (03:38):
You want to hear and the biggest news when it
comes to your wallet, at least seemingly over the weekend,
Trump's saying credit card companies ought to cut their raids.
Speaker 2 (03:49):
At ten percent.
Speaker 3 (03:52):
The interest rates suddenly in the cross airs at President
Trump urging those card companies to slash rates some of
them are so high twenty thirty range. He noted that
you're being ripped off. He said, he's asking for that
to happen by January twenty. There's lots of discussion on
how that would happen. Is it possible that he have
(04:13):
the authority to do it? I'm telling you, Uh, this
guy's gonna get a lot more done than most people
ever would and before they even have the chance to ask, well,
can can he actually do it? It may just be
done before they have the chance to even get the
answer on that.
Speaker 2 (04:29):
And then you'll know.
Speaker 1 (04:30):
Call Justin now at six one six seven seven four
twenty four twenty four at six one, six seven seven
twenty four to twenty four West Michigan Live with Justin
Barclay on news Radio Wood thirteen hundred and one oh
six nine a f m.
Speaker 2 (04:45):
Well, think about it this way.
Speaker 3 (04:47):
Lots happening in the news, and I just barely scratched
the surface of it all. But I mean, you go
away for a weekend, you'd maybe try and stay plugged in.
You watch it, maybe a football game or two. How
about Indiana over the weekend, they'll play for the national championship.
I grew up in Indiana, and I don't want people
know that, but people ask me when I find out, Hey,
(05:10):
you know who's your football team? So I'm not a
Michigan or a Michigan State guy. In fact, I don't
even have a college team because Indiana didn't have.
Speaker 2 (05:18):
One I was growing up. But now all of a sudden,
they do. So it's wild to see that.
Speaker 3 (05:24):
But anyway, part of the conversations from what happened over
the weekend, we didn't get as much snow as we
thought we wouldn't.
Speaker 2 (05:29):
Again, I'm okay with that.
Speaker 3 (05:31):
We've got a new video out, our new close up
video of the Minneapolis incident that took place the other day.
And again this is the woman ramming her car and
you can see it clear as day now in this
latest video that's been released. The ice situation there, it's
such a tragic scenario.
Speaker 2 (05:51):
Didn't have to happen.
Speaker 3 (05:53):
And again, it just to me anytime you've got a
car and you've got a police officer in that car
makes contact with police officer.
Speaker 2 (06:01):
It's all bets are off.
Speaker 3 (06:03):
Okay, It's just just just how I see it. When
you get into learning more about who she is, why
she was there, what she was doing, where her kids were,
and all of the other stuff, I don't even think
you have to go there. I think it's pretty simple.
You watch the video. You know the facts of the case,
which are she made contact with the police officer with
(06:23):
that car. Whether she intended to or not, none of
this matters. Police officer was reasonably at that moment reasonable
to believe that he was in fear for his life,
and of course he took out the threat. And that
is all we need to know. I will tell you
what else all we need to know. Another thing that
all we need to know is a left in Democrats
(06:44):
are so upset about her. But where was the outrage
for the woman that was killed on the subway? Remember
Irena in North Carolina? Where was the outrage for Lake
and Riley? Where was the outrage for any of these people?
I mean actual in a women and mothers are killed
every day in this country by lawless thugs who have
(07:06):
arrests out the wazoo, and a lot of these thugs
are still walking the streets because some woke judge has
more compassion for those violent criminals than the law abiding
citizens like you and me. And yet the left, these
folks faux outrage weeping over this woman in Minneapolis. Now
(07:29):
I'm sad, I don't get me wrong. This is absolutely tragic,
this childhood. I think there's a few. Now she didn't
have custody of some of them, and that's a whole
other piece of the story. Again, I don't have to
get into because I don't really think it matters. But
at the end of the day, you dig into it
really does start to pick the picture of who we're
talking about, who they're canonizing again, and it's right out
(07:52):
of Minneapolis. Boy, this is right out. I've seen this
movie before. It's like George Floyd two point zero. But
I've never seen a candlelight vigil for an of these
other people's. No mass outrage, no protesters. These people that
just with anonymity are victims and die every single day,
(08:12):
and we're supposed to take their outrage their grief so seriously.
I mean, if they're really capable of sincere human emotion
at this point, I just give me a break. I don't,
I don't. I don't see it. None of this is real.
It's manufactured to fit the narrative. It's made to look
(08:37):
like the outrage of the day, the outrage usure, because
that's just exactly what it is. Meanwhile, how about this one.
People in Iran, right, they're protesting because they want to
live like we do here in America. And yet at
(09:01):
the same time, people in America are protesting because they
want to.
Speaker 2 (09:08):
Live like they do in Iran.
Speaker 3 (09:11):
Come on, come on, give me a break. You can't
make this stuff up. And again I ask you to
make that make sense. I just don't think you can.
I just don't think you can. President trumpetboard Air Force
one talking about Iran and crossing the Red Line. I've
(09:34):
got some of the latest on that story.
Speaker 2 (09:37):
It really is wild to hear it.
Speaker 3 (09:39):
But they've got secret weapons they claim have been used
during the Venezula, and I don't doubt it. I think
we've got stuff that we don't talk about. That's that's
for sure. But there might be another piece of this
story that I want to sort of explore as well,
But we'll talk about that on the way.
Speaker 2 (09:54):
First to President I know this audience.
Speaker 3 (10:00):
It looks like and let's ask the reporter said, are
this they ran across the red line?
Speaker 4 (10:04):
Yet there seemed to be some people killed that aren't
supposed to be killed.
Speaker 1 (10:08):
These are violent If you call them leaders.
Speaker 4 (10:11):
I don't know if they're leaders, are just they.
Speaker 3 (10:13):
Rule through violence.
Speaker 4 (10:15):
But we're looking at it very seriously.
Speaker 1 (10:17):
The military is looking at it, and we're looking at
some very strong options.
Speaker 3 (10:22):
Well, you know what they're also talking about is they're
looking at military plans for such a situation.
Speaker 2 (10:28):
This is over the weekend.
Speaker 3 (10:29):
Again, enough to make you sort of chuckle, but it's
what the story is very real.
Speaker 2 (10:36):
The military is looking at plans for Greenland. Now. Now
again this is a whole other piece idea.
Speaker 3 (10:46):
If we don't take Greenland, Russia or China will, he says,
If we don't take Greenland, Russia or China will, And.
Speaker 2 (10:53):
I'm not letting that happen.
Speaker 4 (10:54):
If we don't take Greenland, Russia or China will take.
Speaker 5 (10:58):
Greenland, and I am not going to that happen.
Speaker 4 (11:01):
Now.
Speaker 3 (11:01):
They can offer you, sure, I've looked.
Speaker 2 (11:04):
About make a deal with him.
Speaker 3 (11:05):
It's easier, but one way or the other, we're gonna
have Greenland.
Speaker 6 (11:09):
Are you afraid if.
Speaker 5 (11:10):
That compromises NATO, if NATO effectively ceases to this in
order to great job.
Speaker 1 (11:16):
I'm the one that saved THEO.
Speaker 2 (11:17):
I'm the one that got him to pay.
Speaker 4 (11:19):
Five points five percent of GDP.
Speaker 3 (11:22):
Wait a minute, it was two two percent and they
didn't pay.
Speaker 2 (11:25):
Now they're paying. Certainly a sense dumb question.
Speaker 3 (11:28):
Uh. Anyway, all of that happening over the weekend, and
what's really going on with Greenland. Maybe we'll have some
time to get into that as well. We'll talk to
Secret Weapons, and we come back and give you a

Curior headlines from the Midwesterner this Monday, January twelfth. I'm
Robin Hoffman. It's a Midwesterner. Dot News original story here
in Michigan, lawmakers and Allen Park voting to postpone the
passage of a data center project in the city. This
after a four hour public meeting. Now During the event,
residents expressing concerns about what the development would mean for
(13:39):
the community. The Allen Park Planning Commission is considering a
proposal by Soalstice Data that would place a twenty six
megawat data center at a site south of Interstate ninety four.
This project proposed after the Democrat controlled legislature passed tax
incentives back in twenty twenty four. In other news, federal
prosecutors launching a criminal investigation into Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell,
(14:02):
the head of the US Central Bank, says. The Department
of Justice says this investigation centers around his testimony about
the multi year renovation of Federal Reserve buildings. For these

I mean yeah, I mean we appreciate you, brother, Facebook, Twitter, ACKs,
rumble Getter, locals, YouTube, lots of different places where you
can watch the program. The iHeartRadio app listening live as well.
We we thank you being here with us today. I
got this story that's just wild about the weapons, weapons
(15:00):
that may have been used.
Speaker 2 (15:02):
And I don't know. I mean this, I wouldn't I
wouldn't put it past us.
Speaker 3 (15:07):
We have lots of stuff that I just don't think
even people even realize or even know about. Uh, but
it's a it really is a terrifying account that our
enemies are standing to take don us.
Speaker 2 (15:17):
So we can get into that coming up in just
a moment.
Speaker 3 (15:19):
Looking at the market reaction this morning, some of that's
going to be probably due to the issues with the FED,
the FED being supeated. So anyway, this this is this
is really interesting, the heat like sort of what's happening
around it, and the markets are reacting. I'll be honest
(15:40):
with you. Uh, we got a lot of red on
the futures this morning. The down futures down three hundred
points as Trump's DOJ opens a criminal investigation into the FED.
Share jerown Pale there nasdak down about a couple hundred
points as well as and P futures down thirty six
thirty seven.
Speaker 2 (15:59):
This is futures.
Speaker 3 (16:00):
Well, we don't have a market open and for the
next six minutes or so, so hang in there. We'll
get we'll get the answers coming up in just a
little bit. But no matter what, like I say each
and every time we talk about this, no matter what
is happening, it kind of feels like you're on a
roller coaster ride as a trunk tries to get things
(16:20):
back on track, and you see a lot of good news.
We had some great numbers come out last week, and
yet we continue to get news that shows us things
that are moving in the right direction.
Speaker 2 (16:33):
Don't tell me about gas prices.
Speaker 3 (16:34):
Holy go I think it was a two thirty nine
on Friday two thirty nine. I think it was Cedar
Tucky's where I filled up for two thirty nine. It's
two forty eight by the expensive gas stations where I know,
Oh I gets I just incredible numbers are really moving.
So don't don't get caught up on the roller coaster ride.
(16:56):
You don't have to feel nauseous. And with the folks
are telling well, Mike Lester and the team. They want
to make sure you don't feel that way. Of course,
they take a holistic, personal tailored approach to each and
every individual's guarding your nest egg dot com. They'll make
sure you get ready for retirement. Whether it's ten twenty
years down the road or there tomorrow, it doesn't matter,
whenever you want to get there, and make sure you
get there feeling good about it. All called on its
(17:20):
sixty one sixty six six one one thousand, or guarding
your nest egg dot com. All right, here's the secret
weapon information that's been disgusting, and like I said, this story,
I don't doubt it some of these things I've heard of.
You may have even heard these stories before about what
exactly we have and the capabilities. Said, there's actually a
(17:42):
video out there right now of is it Peter Doosey.
He's running around and on Fox News gets stung by
It's probably the best way to describe it. Stung by
one of these one of these weapons. Back in like
twenty thirteen or something, it was a while ago, they
did a ten done on some of this stuff and
(18:02):
it was like a directed energy weapon is one of
the he essentially calls it. He's like fifty degrees outside
at one point, and Deucey walks into the wave of
this thing. They fire the cannon off, and all of
a sudden, it feels like he's on fire. That's incredible. Now,
I don't know about you, but I'm seeing stuff like this.
(18:26):
It just makes you wonder. Now, I'm going to give
you the account because I think it ties in. It
does it ties in exactly to what we're talking about here.
He is talking about that weapon that he experienced at
one point.
Speaker 5 (18:38):
It sounds a lot like something this reporter got hit
with at Quantico.
Speaker 2 (18:43):
In this piece from twenty thirteen.
Speaker 5 (18:45):
The military says the active denial system is not radioactive,
it's not a microwave, and it's not a laser beam.
It's instead a man sized beam of millimeter waves that
can be fired from up to one thousand meters away
that are designed to get the subject whoever' staying out
on this X really really hot so that they move.
Speaker 2 (19:05):
Here they go.
Speaker 5 (19:11):
It's about fifty degrees out here right now, but I
just felt like it was about a thousand. And I've
never been inside a tub that somebody dropped a hair
dryer in, but I would imagine that that's what it
feels like now.
Speaker 2 (19:21):
I would not have volunteered for that.
Speaker 3 (19:24):
There is a report out there, and Carolyn Levitt, the
White House Press Secretary, is the one who shared this,
and that's I think people saw it flowing around. I
saw it last year, but I didn't I didn't share
it because I didn't know how true it was. But
she shared it, so now it kind of makes people think, Okay,
we gets worth sharing. Venezuelan gardi used to work for Aduro,
said the US forces used a sonic weapon, a secret
(19:47):
sonic weapon, during the Maduro Red Capture operation, describing sudden
radar failures in tense sound ways. They just had blackouts
all over and then troops started collapsing with nose bleeds
and vomiting. Neither the White House nor the Pentagon has
confirmed any sonic ord direct an energy weapon used. But
(20:08):
this is a terrifying account, and I'm going to read
some of this a little bit later on so you
can hear about it. It whether it's real or not,
could just be propaganda the enemies, our enemies are really
starting to question right now. Every That's why you're seeing
some of these folks give up to US. They're like,
all right, that's it, We're done. Yeah, you could come
(20:29):
a guy from Colombia, the President Columbia said come get me.
Then the think he now stick there or so later
it's like once I saw a video and things that
were coming out, They're like, okay, I'll be there. I'm
coming to the White House wild all right, back with
more after this. You can join the same time on
the program six one, six, seven, seven, twenty four back
(20:52):
in just moments right here, West Michigan Live.
Speaker 2 (20:55):
Don't go anywhere about our bodily hour headlines that focused
on what matters to you.
Speaker 1 (21:02):
It's West Michigan Live with Justin Barklay on News Radio
one thirteen hundred and one oh six nine ALF and
on demand anytime on the iHeartRadio app.
Speaker 2 (21:26):
Markets.
Speaker 3 (21:27):
I've seen the movement happening in real time right now,
market's reacting this morning now falls three hundred points is
the headline. We're down forty four right now, though lots
of red. They blame it right now on the fears
raised by the DOJ investigation into the FED chair Jerome Powell.
(21:56):
I'll love to see how that all plays out. But
this is this is this is going to be interesting
to watch because again we're in the find out era.
Speaker 2 (22:04):
Folks, Now, what is it all about.
Speaker 3 (22:06):
It's about that money again that they've spent on try
it's two billion dollars they try to renovate the FED building. Trump,
you remember he went back. President went there back in
July and he toured the facility with the FED chair
and goes, I don't know, two billion dollar and he goes.
Speaker 2 (22:22):
Kind of like, I don't know, there's something missing here.
Speaker 3 (22:24):
And you know how this goes, You know, will you
talk about a billion here, a billion there? You start
talking about how money's just kind of flying, and you know, yeah,
everything we've learned out of Minnesota here recently and everything else, I.
Speaker 2 (22:43):
Wouldn't be surprised.
Speaker 3 (22:48):
I wouldn't be surprised if we learned, yeah, that there
was there was some shenanigans happening happening there anyway, behind
the scenes, we're starting to get more information about all
of this. So Carolyn Levitt shared this story, and I
thought it was really interesting because it is. It's fascinating
(23:12):
that what they're talking about the weaponry that was used
during the Venezuelan raid on Maduro and part of the
reason why I thought it was so interesting. She says,
stop what you're doing and read this. It's another account
that shared it, and I had seen I've seen this
(23:33):
in a few different places. By the way, So the
guy that shares this, I don't know where he got it,
but this supposedly comes from an interview, and I'll read
some of this to you. Some of this comes from
an interview that, again I found just horrifying, terrifying, and
(23:54):
I think that's the way our enemies are going to
look at this as well, which I think is part
of the point of all this. The account from a
Venezuela and security guard loyal to Nicholas Maduro absolutely chilling.
It explains a lot about the tone across Latin Americas
suddenly changed. Security guard, the man who used to work
for Maduro, saying, on the day of the operation, we
didn't hear anything coming. We were on guard, but suddenly
(24:16):
all our radar systems shut down without any explanation. The
next thing we saw were drones, a lot of drones
flying over our positions. We didn't know how to react.
The interviewer says, so what happened next? How was the
main attack? Security guard? After those drones appeared. Some helicopters arrived,
but there were very few. I think barely eight helicopters.
(24:37):
From those helicopters, soldiers came down, but a very small number,
maybe twenty men. But those men were technologically very advanced.
They didn't look like anything we fought against before. Essentially,
the guy saying, like we fought like iron man like.
Those soldiers were geared up and kitted up in ways
that we've never seen before, the interviewer said, And then
(24:57):
the battle began. Security Guard, yes, as a massacre. We
were hundreds, but we had no chance. They were shooting
with such precision and speed. It seemed like each soldier
was firing three hundred rounds per minute. We couldn't do anything,
the interviewer and your own weapons didn't they help. Security
Guard no help at all, because it wasn't just the weapons.
(25:17):
At one point, they launched something I don't know how
to describe it. It was like a very intense sound wave.
Suddenly I felt like my head was exploding from the inside.
We all started bleeding from the nose. Some were vomiting blood.
We fell to the ground, unable to move. Interviewer and
your comrades did they manage to resist, No, not at all.
(25:39):
Those twenty men without a single casualty, killed hundreds of us.
We had no way to compete with their technology, with
their weapons. I swear I've never seen anything like it.
We couldn't even stand up after that sonic weapon or
whatever it was. So do you think the rest of
the region should think twice before confronting Americans? The Guard says,
(25:59):
without it, I'm sending a warning to anyone who thinks
they can fight the United States. They have no idea
what they're capable of. After what I saw. I never
want to be on the other side of that again.
They're not to be messed with. Really interesting again, White
House Press Secretary Carolyn Levitt. I saw that last week,
(26:22):
and I just saw a that that's an interesting story.
It is terrifying. It is really something, and I just wonder.
I wonder if it's real or if it's propaganda. Either way,
it's having a devastating effect, at least on the enemies.
Right now, let's talk to she's running for a Senate
(26:43):
in fact, got a big event coming up next week.
And talk to Burdette Smith, who's on the line with
this right now, and I don't know if you heard
any of that account, but I would just say this,
it almost sounds like what happened there in Venezuela. And indeed,
some of the things we're watching take place across the
world right now, it almost seems biblical the things that
(27:05):
we're used. Dear in Venezuela, welcome in this morning, appreciate
you being here with us.
Speaker 4 (27:10):
Thank you, justin, Thank you for having me.
Speaker 2 (27:13):
What an account? What do you make of that?
Speaker 4 (27:18):
You know, there's a lot too, there's a lot to that, justin,
and I am still trained into that, you know, this
whole situation.
Speaker 3 (27:28):
Yeah, it really is fascinating that that peace and we
start to see as the President has talked about now
with more of uh, it's just as Latin America is
sort of falling in like Cuba.
Speaker 4 (27:42):
Uh.
Speaker 2 (27:42):
And then we have Iran's a whole other story.
Speaker 3 (27:46):
But what we're seeing happening right now with some of
these dominoes falling, is really fascinating to watch. And I
don't know about you, but I know people have been praying,
particularly for around for years.
Speaker 4 (27:59):
Yes, you know, and I believe our president are great.
President is really bringing a lot of things to the
forefront a lot of things that people we didn't know,
a lot of things that we didn't know and bringing
them and it seems like, well, he's over leaching, or
he's this or that. But I believe the President is
bringing an awareness to us that most citizens were unaware
(28:22):
of it.
Speaker 2 (28:24):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (28:24):
I think some people may have memory of Iran from
you know, you think back to the seventies and what
that place was like and how things were so different
and the terrorism. Obviously, we're aware of the strike that
took place, We're aware of what they've been up to recently,
aware of the Biden administration sending billions upon billions of
(28:46):
dollars excuse me, the Obama administration doing that, sending pallets
to cash, and that Biden did some of that too,
but palats of cash was under Obama. President Trump just
seems to be a different president altogether. He's not going
to play those games. In fact, he wants those folks
out correct.
Speaker 4 (29:02):
So also, I think about the infrastructure that we as
Americans brought to Venezuela, right, and I'm not sure if
everyone understood that to see what's happening now, but understand
that we're trying to protect what America puts here in
the first place to help the Venezuela people.
Speaker 3 (29:20):
It really is, it really is something we see a
lot of happen, a lot of movement happening just in
that first you were not even a year in right now.
And I bring these these stories up because we're also
seeing lots happening on the home front as well, because
gas prices are incredible. I mean just I paid two
thirty nine a gallon on Friday, and I couldn't believe it.
(29:41):
I know on the east side of the state, they've
got some of these gas stations that are even lower.
But it's to me, you're watching some of these things
in President has this announcement on the credit card interest
rates earlier this week, and as well, they are trying
to look like trying to make a difference from a
lot of different angles. It's not you what's happening on
the on the world front, but also back here at
(30:03):
home as well. And I guess you know, when we
talk about these things, it's important because the next person
you send to Washington as a senator from state of Michigan, Uh,
it better be somebody who will support the president.
Speaker 2 (30:18):
Some of the radicals on the left.
Speaker 3 (30:20):
I mean, they're even worse than some of these folks
that we're hearing about Mom, Donnie and some of the
rest that are winning in places like New York City
one hundred percent.
Speaker 4 (30:28):
An awful Minnesota, right, what's happening in Minnesota. But one
thing I want to bring when I go to Washington,
justin books I think is still important is that it's
the ABC actually the accountability balance and the Constitution. When
I think when we think of accountability, government must be
accountable to the people, not to special interest that we
(30:50):
need that to happen. And our president is really such
a good example of helping bring to bring this out.
No one is above the law. Accountability is the foundation
all of our trusts. And I think about this, when
leaders aren't accountable, families pay the price. As we have
seen this for a while. Accountability to source confidence in
(31:11):
our institution, and we really need that today. We need
people to trust and have confidence in our constution. And
our president, President Trump, is trying to bring that accountability
back into Washington, and I want to be there to
help him. When I think about b the ABC be balanced.
We need balance between federal power and state's right. Strong leadership, Justine.
(31:36):
Balance in security with liberty. I think about fiscal balance
that also matters. Washington can't keep spending what it does
not have, and I am so grateful for Elon Munk
going in there and doing what he did with his team.
Balance keeps government from becoming overreaching and intrusive. I think
(31:57):
this is so important that we keep this in the
forefront of our heart and mind when we go to Washington.
See constitution a big one. I understand that fifty two
percent of our young people today they don't even know
the Constitution. The Constitution is not outdated, which some people
are trying to say. It is truly our safeguard. Every
(32:19):
law should pass one test, Justine, and this is it.
Is it constitutional? I think it's so important before we
pass the law, we need to say is it constitutional?
And we move forward the Constitution What it does. It
protects every day Americans from government overreach. I think that's
(32:41):
such a safeguard in all protention. And that's something that
my campaign is built on the three simple principles accountability, balance,
and the Constitution, because I truly believe when we have
a strong we will have a strong America. If we
keep the Constitution tax It is so very important, vitally important.
Speaker 3 (33:04):
Part of that spens Runner for Senate here as a
Republican in Michigan and wanting to make sure she takes
those things to Washington.
Speaker 2 (33:13):
Hey, you've got a big event coming up too in that.
Speaker 4 (33:18):
To talk about that, I'm very very excited. We want
to invite all of your listeners to a special event
coming up on next Monday, January nineteenth, at seven pm
right here in Grand Rapids. It's a fundraising reception called
Missus Smith goes to Washington, and it's going to be
a very very powerful event. It's General Flinn. We had.
(33:41):
One of the reasons is this event is so important
to us because we'll be joined by Michael Flynn. General Flynn,
you know, he has spent his life serving our nation
at the highest level of national security. He truly understands
what happens when truth is checked, when leadership also fails,
(34:02):
and when everyday Americans are pushed aside. General Flynn gets it.
He also understands resilion, he understands faint, and totally understand courage,
as we can all see. And those are the exact
qualities that we need in well at Washington right now,
and I'm so glad he's coming to be a part
of this event this evening. It's so exciting. I'm just
(34:25):
very very excited about it. I'm very excited about it.
So I'm I hope that everyone your listeners can make it.
It will be held at the Nodals Old World Italian
Dining and that's a fifty six will Zill twenty eighth
Street Southeast, and we're asking for twenty dollars per person,
and we are asking that everyone registers because that is
(34:46):
a requirement. And also they can register on my website,
which is Bernadette Smith for ussenate dot com. Again that's
Bernadette Smith for a US Senate. And another thing I
want our listeners to know, I love questions. I love questions.
If they have any questions, any concern if they have inputs.
(35:10):
I think it's so important that we listen to the
people that we go into their community. The people in
the community, they know what they need, they know what
they're lacking. So going into those communities talking to them,
but not only talking to them, taking their concerns back
to Washington, which I think many past politicians have felt
(35:31):
of their there's constituents. They sell them, but we really
need to hear what they have to say, take it
to Washington and bring it back to them with some answers,
and also being effective, helping that community be more effective
in what their needs are. I think it's so important.
Another thing is we look at Omark, we look at
(35:52):
all those those three what is it in Minnesota? You know,
we have to stop the evil and the corruption that
we see that they are perpetrating in our states, in
the different states. So I want to go there also
to speak truth to power, speaks to be President Trump's ally,
(36:13):
to help him get these wonderful things that he's trying
to get past and trying to help them all everyday
Americans and not only America, the world. I want to
be right there with him to help him participate and
to help bring the laws and the constitution back into attack.
I think it's so important that we bring our constitutions
(36:35):
back into forefronts. Educating our young people, and not only
young people, educating just the world what our confetentions stand for.
I think is so important.
Speaker 3 (36:47):
Missus Smith goes to Washington. Missus Bernard ed Smith, thank
you so much for taking the time. If people want

Speaker 1 (37:38):

Barklay on news Radio one thirteen hundred and one oh
six nine a f m.
Speaker 6 (37:48):

Trump's immigration policies during his visit to our southern border,
Roger saying for years Biden's border invasion rectavoc across our country,
(38:08):
allowing deadly drugs, violent criminals, and explosion of human trafficking
in cartels, including those conspiring with countries like Venezuela to
flood here into the US. Alan Park holds off on
approving of data center after a long four hour session,
residents questioning whether the data center would increase utility rates
as well as how it might impact the water and
(38:29):
the environment, and federal prosecutors launching a criminal investigation into
FED Chair Jerome Powell. The investigation centers around his testimony
about a multi year renovation of federal reserve buildings. For
these stories and more, visit the Midwestern at the Midwest.
Speaker 3 (38:49):
Some protests happening last night at the Golden Gloves, which
I had no idea who won one I have known.
Speaker 2 (38:54):
I didn't watch a met it of.
Speaker 3 (38:55):
As you can imagine Mark Ruffalo with a button to
protests us in support, he would say, for that woman
who tried to run the ice age. And it's really
about Trump though, it's all about Trump. You know this,
It's hey, hey, Trump. The button says it.
Speaker 1 (39:08):
This is for her.
Speaker 4 (39:09):
This is for the people in the United States who
are terrorized and scared today.
Speaker 2 (39:13):
By the way, the button says, be good.
Speaker 3 (39:17):
Good would be not being a criminal, right, be good
would be It'll be someone who doesn't run an Ice
agent over with your car.
Speaker 1 (39:23):
This is for her.
Speaker 4 (39:24):
This is for the people in the United States who
are terrorized and scared today.
Speaker 3 (39:28):
This is so funny, this whole narrative of being terrorized
and scared. I just mentioned this off the air. She's
so terrorized and so scared that she took her suv
out amongst the people. Remember that we've been told these
people are Gestapo, They're the worst of the worst. She's
so terrorized and scared that she ran around playing games
with it. You know, it's funny to watch this because
(39:52):
everything about and they're all revealed by every single piece
of it. But you know, now they're out there talking
about how they really shouldn't be mourning her because of
her white privilege and she doesn't deserve it. And these
are people on the left. So you're a martyr for
your cause on the left, and then people contemn you
for your skin.
Speaker 2 (40:11):
It's just wild.
Speaker 5 (40:13):
I know, I'm one of them. I love this country.
Speaker 3 (40:15):
He's so terrified guys walking a red carpet, walking a
red carpet in Hollywood, completely disconnected from reality. And Mark
Ruffalo is terrorized, just terrorized, terrorized by President Trump. Oh boy,
it was, it was. It was at one point terror
(40:38):
in the air aboard air Force one. I don't I
don't know if you saw this, but one moment some
of the I just some a light. It's just a
bit of levity if I can, right before the end
of the show here. But this is, this is, this
is turbulence hitting in him, realizing I got notugh of
(40:59):
the grab and what he says is hilarious.
Speaker 4 (41:03):
When will you meet with with Machado.
Speaker 2 (41:06):
This weekend for something to grab?
Speaker 5 (41:07):
Here?
Speaker 3 (41:08):
And because it's gonna it's going to get rough, and
I don't seem to be an. I think you did
this to me. Put me in a position where there's
absolutely nothing to Graham taking to tuck into the face,
think this this is I think you all did this
to me. So I'm looking for something to grab and
it's not gonna be Caroline.
Speaker 2 (41:28):
Carolyn Levin standing right by, looking for something to grab.
It's not gonna be.
Speaker 3 (41:32):
Her looking looking for something to hang on to there.
Speaker 2 (41:41):
Yeah, that's that's hilarious. That's another.
Speaker 3 (41:44):

back from our alago. I'm I'll get to some of
those in the after show. If you ever want to
