hang out with you. It looks like I walked into
studio for those that don't know, and there's just a
big beautiful dog God greeting me and Irish and I think,
just want to go hang out the rest of the weekend,
but we can't be fine with that. I would love it.

I love it. I love it. Well, let's talk about
some of the events going on this weekend. I want
to I want to talk about one of my favorite
places will stay on the trend of animals, the zoo
this weekend. Is there overnight they've got their campers correct, Yes,
and that's typically probably by the time I'm talking about

it already booked out. So you could call the zoo
and see if they've got any openings for shampers, crash
the door, your favorite line. But breakfast is at the
zoo tomorrow and I love breakfast at the Zoo. I
don't know if I can get my own household up.
They've already this morning. We're talking about how they're going
to sleep in tomorrow because we've just been running pretty

hard this week. But tomorrow morning breakfast at the Zoo
from eight to ten eight and it is a heck
of a spread. Eggs, the famous pancakes, as you know
that I break about.
Speaker 1 (02:55):
They're virtually criminal.

Yes, and then you know fun fIF tip if you
go later, sometimes you get seconds of the good extra pancakes,
but you do get early access to the zoo, and
the animals are very active in the morning, and we've
got a lot of babies again that showed up this spring.
So it's a really great time to be at the Zoo,
so members. If you're a zoo member, which I encourage

everybody to be, to get breakfast as ten dollars for adults,
five dollars for kids. If you are a non member,
then it's of course a little bit more because you've
got to pay for the admission, but it's twenty dollars
for adults and fifteen for kids. But it is absolutely
well worth it. So if you're looking for something fun
to do this weekend, breakfast at the zoo.

And then we've got a fundraiser over at the seven
oh one venue.

Wait, a fundraiser. I'm shocked by this.

I know, I know this is a this is a
cool event that's being put on at our venue, the
seven oh one venue, So that's seventeen hundred East Main
and Mandan And it's a first time event. It's called
Bags for Babies.

Okay, I like it already.

Cornwall turnament yees, no babies. We're not giving out babies,
but we are fundraising for babies. So it is a
cornhole tournament being put on twenty five dollars per person
or fifty dollars a team. You can absolutely show up
as a single and they'll they'll match you up with
a partner, which can always be fun. There is Registration
is still open and I can quickly rattle off the

contact information, but you can absolutely walk in tomorrow morning.
So registration will start at ten am. They're doing a
barbecue lunch that is available for goodwill donation. But if
you want a pre register, you can contact Hunter at

eight nine three. So that's uh taking place tomorrow and
it's a fundraiser, So okay for babies.

I wow, okay, and I am sorry that I missed
that you had them on earlier to talk a little
bit about this. But the Missouri River, Yeah, the Missouri
River Bluegrass Festival is the nineteenth and twentieth so it
starts tonight six thirty to ten thirty and then tomorrow
Saturday starting at tenam. I remember talking about this last
year actually now, so this is a heck of a
lineup that they've got going on. Waddington Brothers and Jess Burdock,

Yeah, I like to say that.

All right. So a couple couple of things at Cross
Ranch that I want to call out because I don't
want anybody to get there and then be angry because
they didn't know these things. So there's no smoking on site,
leave those and leave those in the car, no alcohol,
and no pets allowed in the concert area.

Sorry. So it's a beautiful park though. It's their thirty
fourth annual Missouri River Bluegrass Festival taking place at Cross
Rains Munch State Park outside of Center in North Dakota.

Yeah, and I want to give a highlight here to
Crosser in Street Park. They do an incredible job. There
is nothing for my money, As I'm sure you agree,
there's nothing like waking up in your tent or your
cat to you know, the sunrise or you know that
misty time of morning. Yeah, there's just nothing.

Better Dewey Cissy Coffee right on the water. Maybe some
you know, somebody's got their fire already going, so you've
got the smell of a fire, which we can do.
Can Yeah, the burn bounds are lifted right now, which
is great thanks to all the rain that we've got.
But this event also has an admission required, so if
you can't get up there and you can't camp, but

you still want to attend, Friday is twenty dollars, Saturday
as thirty five, you can get a combo at forty
five dollars. Sixteen and under are free and it includes
your pricing or your parking. Excuse me, but it does
say bring your lawn chair and your bug spray because
the pests will be out. So one more time Missouri
River Bluegrass Festival across Ranch State Park Friday and Saturday

and a great lineup of artists that'll be performing tomorrow morning.
The one other thing that you know I love to
talk about, bis Market is taking place at Kawanas Park
tomorrow morning. A couple of things to highlight. They've got
Transition Yoga taking place at nine am. That's a fundraiser
for a couple of nonprofits, so you can bring some

cash to donate before your workout. But they also will
have live music. They have their vendors, BIS Market, the
team behind that. I don't know them personally, but they've
done just a lot of great work at playing together fun.
Everything they do they do. You're gonna get your fresh produce,
You're gonna get your baked goods. You're going to get
some gifts. I mean, the last time Harpbur and I

were there.

Get a white sheet cake.
Speaker 2 (07:48):
Don we bought jewelry, I know, a harper poor thing
bought a parrot earrings and went to go put them
in and one went right down the stink. So we
need to go back and repurchase these really fun earnings.
To harder to do that. But so biz Market kicks
off at nine o'clock, but it is. It's really cool.
You can go get your fresh coffee, your fresh produce,

really whatever you want, just right, yeah, wander around.

It's a great way to spend an hour.

Yes, it really is. Or two and I love the.

Fact that you know, neither you nor I have any
association or relationship with them, and yet we talk about that.
We do every single week that they're up.

Do you know why, because those things are so important
in our community, I think, and I know what it
takes to put those things on, so I want to
highlight them because of course, you know, that's that's what
I do for a living.

So and and I also want to say it is
very much the personality of a particular region in the country.
There's a I've been to one in New Orleans, for example, Lafayette, Charleston,
you know, up and down the East Virginia Beach. Say
it's it's very much captures the characteristics of a particular
community really really well.

Yes, absolutely, And just supporting small businesses, you know, that's
I'm a big proponent of that as well. And that's
what they all are at their mom and pop shops
that you know work also probably full time jobs elsewhere
and in the meantime are making sour all Yes, yes, okay.
There's another fun event taking place in Jamestown this weekend.

Jimmy Yeah, Lake Jam Music Festival. And I'm I've not
heard of this. I don't remember talking about this before,
but it's a two day event. It says, grab your
two day pass and dive into NonStop fun at this
year's Lake Jam Music Festival. Friday, starting at four o'clock
with food and fun and oh they have back storing
and a rock wall. That sounds fun, okay, but they

have a full lineup of different things. So it's two
day tickets online. Our seventy dollars. Single tickets are at
the gate for forty dollars. Kids twelve and under are free,
so take advantage of that.

You have to bring your chair and bring up.

Bring a long chair right there, bring a lawn chair
and a blanket. But come have some fun in the sun.
So it's at spirit Would Resort and that's where I

four o'clock on Friday and goes again on Saturday, starting
out four o'clock cornhole tournaments. I don't karaoke.

talking about some uh, this is Dedra's dates indeeds and
we're so we're talking about the goings on around North Dakota.
I was gonna mend, we've done, We've done Bismarck, We've
done Jamestown. I mean, this is we're every everywhere.

Once We're everywhere. And you know, I'm gonna talk about
two fifty events coming up the next the next part
of the segments. But there's lots of live music and
I love highlighting those. Excuse me, so I wanted to
mention a couple of those Saturday Night on the rooftop
at the Stone Home, who we love the Stone Home,

and that's in Bismarck. I forget. You know, they've got
a location in Watford City, but I don't think they
have a rooftop there. Yeah, that is the O G
so Zeane Miller Trio band. This is a makeup session.
I had talked about it before, but they canceled due
to weather. The one little tiny disclaimer I researched, but
of course they weren't open this morning. I think from
what I recall, it's family friendly. Most of their concerts

on their rooftop are. But if you're listening, you're gonna
go check that out. Maybe check with them tomorrow, but
most most often their they're events on the rooftop family friend,
Yeah yep, so check with that. And then Crossroads has
a patio, a grand opening patio and over in Mandan
and they've got live music as well. And then there's

a lot of car shows this weekend too, So I
wanted to mention a couple of those. I don't know,
Dad's Father's Day car. You guys are into that stuff, right, Okay,
so there's two of them I found. There's breakfast in
a car show in Mercer, Mercer County. Yes, yep, so
Mercer June twentieth, Burnout Competition, Breakfast served from competition. The
cars are burning out, not the people, the cars, the cars.

But yeah, exactly eight thirty to ten thirty is Breakfast
being put on by the Mercer Rural Fire Department. There's
kids activities, bounce houses, lots of vendors and more so
that is the twentieth. Also, there is a show at
Pucklick in North Bismarck. Here in Bismarck, oh well, thank

you for that. The car vettes. It's called the Show
and Shine. Okay, I'm not a car person. I'm totally
fumbling over this, and you want to be.

Perfectly blund I'm not a car person. I like looking
at him, but I'm.

Yes, that's right. I mean, I like driving one, but
that's about the extent of it.

But I like driving them really fast, which I got
to do on a on a NASCAR track.

I was going to say speeding ticket, but okay, you
were on a track. You were on a track. Okay,
I'd like to drive fast too, But it turns out
there's lots Okay, so food vendors, and I just wanted
to mention Olives ice Cream. If you've never got a
treat from Olives ice Cream, that's a food truck that
is going to be at POCLK tomorrow at their Corvette show.
So eleven am registration and the show itself is from

about I've got a couple of minutes. Let's talk about

She sent Mears Downtown Man, historic Man Dan Joseph Josette
Dupree is an incredible human being who has a cigar
shop that they just do it right. And I walked
in the other day for example. And I knew I
wasn't gonna get out of there for less than you know,
one hundred buhucks.

But perfect.

So but she got me some cigars that that I'm
gonna I'm really looking forward.

So she is traveling. These events are all over so tonight,
the nineteenth, there's an event called Straight Up and Toasted

bourbon sipper. I know that's like tragedy, but I love
a good drink with bourbon, and these bartenders make magic

That's funny. I can tell by the look on your
face what you're suggesting. Fair. But then there's at five

Well, I have an event that the First Lady is
a part of, and I love anytime that she shares
an event.

One of my favorite people in the entire of us. Yes,
we the smartest and kindest, one of the smartest and
kindest people I've ever encountered in my life.

She really is. And when she puts.
Speaker 1 (19:43):
Her she knows seven languages.
Speaker 2 (19:45):
I think you did share that fun fact with me
before fluent fluent seven languages.
Speaker 1 (19:50):
She has a bar degree in Norway and she's and
she's barred here in North Dakota.
Speaker 2 (19:56):
Well, I wonder if you could get her on before
this event. It's on June twenty four, so you've got
a little bit of time. Not really maybe, but maybe
she would call in maybe a call her.

But I've been asking her for two and a half
years now.

Oh okay, that might be you a problem. Okay, So
I'll talk about the event. This is the MSA United Ways.
It's the very first ever community baby shower. I think
it's very cool how they're doing this. It is hosted
at the Governor's residence. They are asking for you to RSVP,
so you can do that by going to MSA United

Ways website or their social media and getting more details.
But it is June twenty fourth, from twelve fifteen to
one forty five minutes, and again you have to RSVP there.
I was on their website and so MSA does so
many things for our community, the Dolly Parton Imagination Libraries.
That's an awesome program that you know, we used to

participate in, the Backpack program. The Center for Opportunity down
on South twelfth Street. They offer additional education resources and mentorship.
And so this is a fundraiser. On their website, they've
got a list of things that they are fundraising for.
You can even nominate somebody that should be a shower recipient.
But it talks about how to donate and it looks

like a really cool, cool event. So thanks for sharing
that to the first lady, and I hope that it's
a great turnout for for MSSAY. I'm sure it will
be in the United Way as well. First ever baby
shower probably, I don't know. Maybe at this residence. I
think I would you know who.

Carried the bill to build the residents there, Jessica and Rubel.
Speaker 2 (21:35):
Really I was like that's a trick question.

I could. She didn't have anything to do with the architecture.
She didn't have anything to do with having to zoom
the remains, which they're currently doing. I know that'll happen,
but yeah, it was. It was a big project of hers. Am.
Kelly Armstrong when he was a state senator, was an
original co sponsor in the will, and he never had
visions of you know, being residence.

Right, and then there they are, Well that it's a
cool it's it sounds like a cool event, great gift back.
So and then I just wanted to quickly highlight next weekend,
of course is mcquaid's.

Yes, and we have we have the guys coming in
from all of them, right, all four hundred teams. Yeah,
uh no the I'm sorry, the USA Softball or the
Patriots Patriots, yes, yes, okay, I'm coming in before.

Okay, Well, I know Heather with Dolls is is. Yes,
she's gonna be with Ginger here this morning. I was
with her last night and I said a pastor in
the hallway here in studio. But the mcquaids tournament is
absolutely going on, Yes, absolutely is, and it is still happening.
So I wanted to just reshare the the word on
that there's always you know, a lot of live music

over that weekend and and so one of them I
wanted to mention is the Eclipse is bringing back the
Parking Lot Party. And so this is of course sometimes
twenty one and older, but the Eclipse is the old
Bucks venue. I don't know when we're going to stop
calling at that, but on Third Street.

And they're about twenty seventy four.
Speaker 2 (23:12):
Their team is so awesome. I just love all the
things that they're doing, and they're they're really testing outs.
So they're bringing back the parking Lot Party.

And I've heard nothing but good things from everybody who is,
you know, even even those that like walked around the outside,
you know, because it was closed or whatever. Everybody is
raving about the Eclipse.
Speaker 2 (23:31):
And I'm working with the team at the Badoor Project.
They'll be out there providing food and beverages in the
door and I just love working with with Mike and
Jared and I mean, they're just they've been They've been
so great. So Parking Lot Party and the lineup is great.
Jennifer Lynn and the Groove of Revival, DJESP Frantic Anarchy
and more. You can get tickets at the gate. They're

thirty dollars for the weekend or fifteen at the gate
if you just go one day. Sorry thirty these thirty
dollars for the combo. But it is outdoors rain or shine,

second is family Night, the third is a Patriot Night,
and then the fourth is of course fireworks night. So

a fun fact. The first time I was at Art
in the Park was because I borrowed a car. I
didn't have a driver's license, so I got to do
a little community service at Art in the Park. It
was well worth it. That was my first exposure.

now about the transportation is going to be seamless and
the time and effort that y'all have put into it
is going to be realized as time well spent the transportation.

Be a little bit more patient, but that's hard. These
things work.

But the guest experience that we have put together, in

being shut down, and we've got really great acts there.
Adam and Tay is one of Monty that pops up
the Andres stage, which is just a couple of blocks away.
There is activities and music over there. The US one
hundred and eighty eighth Army Band will be performing over there.
The Cowboy Hall of Fame has entertainers taking place, and

that whole patio is being activated as a pop up
rest for those of us that have ever had food
from Arlin at six oh four catering and his family.
He has a full on menu taking place breakfast, lunch,
and dinner. So we've got a restaurant pop up and
entertainment at the Cowboy Hall of Fame, and then there's
other entertainment at the town Hall Square such as bingo,

it already booked out. So you could call the zoo
and see if they've got any openings for shampers, crash
the door, your favorite line. But breakfast is at the
zoo tomorrow and I love breakfast at the Zoo. I
don't know if I can get my own household up.
They've already this morning. We're talking about how they're going
to sleep in tomorrow because we've just been running pretty

hard this week. But tomorrow morning breakfast at the Zoo
from eight to ten eight and it is a heck
of a spread. Eggs, the famous pancakes, as you know
that I break about.

They're virtually criminal.

Yes, and then you know fun fIF tip if you
go later, sometimes you get seconds of the good extra pancakes,
but you do get early access to the zoo, and
the animals are very active in the morning, and we've
got a lot of babies again that showed up this spring.
So it's a really great time to be at the Zoo,
so members. If you're a zoo member, which I encourage

everybody to be, to get breakfast as ten dollars for adults,
five dollars for kids. If you are a non member,
then it's of course a little bit more because you've
got to pay for the admission, but it's twenty dollars
for adults and fifteen for kids. But it is absolutely
well worth it. So if you're looking for something fun
to do this weekend, breakfast at the zoo.

cornhole tournament being put on twenty five dollars per person

Sorry. So it's a beautiful park though. It's their thirty
fourth annual Missouri River Bluegrass Festival taking place at Cross
Rains Munch State Park outside of Center in North Dakota.

Crosser in Street Park. They do an incredible job. There
is nothing for my money, As I'm sure you agree,
there's nothing like waking up in your tent or your
cat to you know, the sunrise or you know that
misty time of morning. Yeah, there's just nothing.

Better Dewey Cissy Coffee right on the water. Maybe some
you know, somebody's got their fire already going, so you've
got the smell of a fire, which we can do.

Transition Yoga taking place at nine am. That's a fundraiser
for a couple of nonprofits, so you can bring some

have live music. They have their vendors, BIS Market, the
team behind that. I don't know them personally, but they've
done just a lot of great work at playing together fun.
Everything they do they do. You're gonna get your fresh produce,

some gifts. I mean, the last time Harpbur and I

There's a I've been to one in New Orleans, for example, Lafayette, Charleston,
you know, up and down the East Virginia Beach. Say
it's it's very much captures the characteristics of a particular

Yes, absolutely, And just supporting small businesses, you know, that's
I'm a big proponent of that as well. And that's
what they all are at their mom and pop shops
that you know work also probably full time jobs elsewhere

Jimmy Yeah, Lake Jam Music Festival. And I'm I've not
heard of this. I don't remember talking about this before,
but it's a two day event. It says, grab your
two day pass and dive into NonStop fun at this
year's Lake Jam Music Festival. Friday, starting at four o'clock
with food and fun and oh they have back storing
and a rock wall. That sounds fun, okay, but they

have a full lineup of different things. So it's two
day tickets online. Our seventy dollars. Single tickets are at
the gate for forty dollars. Kids twelve and under are free,
so take advantage of that.

a car show in Mercer, Mercer County. Yes, yep, so
Mercer June twentieth, Burnout Competition, Breakfast served from competition. The
cars are burning out, not the people, the cars, the cars.

But yeah, exactly eight thirty to ten thirty is Breakfast
being put on by the Mercer Rural Fire Department. There's
kids activities, bounce houses, lots of vendors and more so
that is the twentieth. Also, there is a show at
Pucklick in North Bismarck. Here in Bismarck, oh well, thank

you for that. The car vettes. It's called the Show
and Shine. Okay, I'm not a car person. I'm totally
fumbling over this, and you want to be.

It's the very first ever community baby shower. I think
it's very cool how they're doing this. It is hosted
at the Governor's residence. They are asking for you to RSVP,

But it is June twenty fourth, from twelve fifteen to
one forty five minutes, and again you have to RSVP there.
I was on their website and so MSA does so
many things for our community, the Dolly Parton Imagination Libraries.
That's an awesome program that you know, we used to

participate in, the Backpack program. The Center for Opportunity down
on South twelfth Street. They offer additional education resources and mentorship.
And so this is a fundraiser. On their website, they've
got a list of things that they are fundraising for.
You can even nominate somebody that should be a shower recipient.
But it talks about how to donate and it looks

like a really cool, cool event. So thanks for sharing
that to the first lady, and I hope that it's
a great turnout for for MSSAY. I'm sure it will
be in the United Way as well. First ever baby
shower probably, I don't know. Maybe at this residence. I
think I would you know who.

Carried the bill to build the residents there, Jessica and Rubel.

wanted to mention is the Eclipse is bringing back the
Parking Lot Party. And so this is of course sometimes
twenty one and older, but the Eclipse is the old
Bucks venue. I don't know when we're going to stop
calling at that, but on Third Street.

Their team is so awesome. I just love all the
things that they're doing, and they're they're really testing outs.

raving about the Eclipse.

chance to go check out the fireworks show, it's it's
going to be something.

out your seats and no one and depending upon the weather.

So there's like a family night. There's a veterans in

I am sure there's going to be a lot of

for I think I think we had somebody on talking

they are incredible way they really really are. They really are.
They're very talented and they're very entertaining. So the July
second is family Night, the third is a Patriot Night,
and then the fourth is of course fireworks night. So
I hope that uh everybody heads over there and checks
out that event as well Art in the Park. That's

a fun fact. The first time I was at Art
in the Park was because I borrowed a car. I
didn't have a driver's license, so I got to do
a little community service at Art in the Park. It
was well worth it. That was my first exposure.

So because she you know, I tell her I didn't

about some of the cool stuff that the library is doing.
They had the kids, the school kids testing out the
AI interaction with Theodore Roosevelt.

of resources that they had the kids, you know, testing
it out.

it's just a great way to integrate the community into

So I like it. I have been talking for weeks
now about the transportation is going to be seamless and
the time and effort that y'all have put into it
is going to be realized as time well spent the transportation.
Do not worry about transportation.

It's going to be different. It is going to be

Be a little bit more patient, but that's hard. These
things work.

But the guest experience that we have put together, in

Adam and Tay is one of Monty that pops up
the Andres stage, which is just a couple of blocks away.
There is activities and music over there. The US one
hundred and eighty eighth Army Band will be performing over there.
The Cowboy Hall of Fame has entertainers taking place, and

that whole patio is being activated as a pop up
rest for those of us that have ever had food
from Arlin at six oh four catering and his family.
He has a full on menu taking place breakfast, lunch,
and dinner. So we've got a restaurant pop up and
entertainment at the Cowboy Hall of Fame, and then there's
other entertainment at the town Hall Square such as bingo,
