Speaker 1 (00:00):
Hey guys. Hey. Thanks for coming. Sorry I'm late. I
just got caught up watching the Pirates of the Caribbean marathon.
Have you seen those things? Oh yeah. Yeah. Those are great.
Well I checked out the track and I loved it.
And I wrote you this big sexy hook. I think
you're gonna really dig it.
Speaker 2 (00:14):
This or that Thursday is about to take place. You'll
have to choose from being ugly with a rock hard
gym body or a pretty face.
Speaker 1 (00:31):
Like step on.
Speaker 2 (00:31):
A Lego or get a bee sting You'll have to
choose one or the other Or would you rather do
one or cover.
Speaker 1 (00:45):
What your choice says about.
Speaker 2 (00:46):
You Like are you into bare feet or just shoes
Give me some forbidden size sixes. Each bliss with five
wiggle limb toes. Make some wine, squash some grapes. Get
all the juices in between them.
Speaker 1 (01:03):
Let's go.
Speaker 3 (01:05):
Sorry.
Speaker 1 (01:07):
Can't blame a.
Speaker 4 (01:07):
Man for getting lost in all this foot talking toe play.
Speaker 2 (01:12):
We still need the GNR 411 from last night with
Cat and T.D. We know they stopped by Marshall's. Cat
didn't just pee. As for me and the feet, we'll
get back to that. But in the meantime, let's get
to some Big Rich.
Speaker 1 (01:33):
T.D. Fletch and Cat Big Rich. T.D. Fletch and Cat
Big Rich.
Speaker 4 (01:50):
Man with a name like big rich you know he's
got some ground grippers some boot bangers concrete plumbers.
Speaker 1 (02:01):
That sounds real nice.
Speaker 5 (02:21):
Happy Thursday to those who celebrate. It's Big Ridge TD
and Fletch on a Thursday, or as we like to
call it, Barcar Friday Eve. We'll be joined by Tony
Conja from Keg and Bottle tomorrow morning, and we'll get
into a delicious libation or two.
Speaker 1 (02:39):
But before we talk about.
Speaker 5 (02:41):
Guns N' Roses last night, TD and Cap, you both
went crazy. Before we get into the massive giveaways we
have today throughout the show, we have to discuss the
fact that TD has now produced a string of artificial
intelligence hits to open our show every day. This by
far was the longest and inarguably the best. And if
(03:03):
you cannot convince me that AI is not sentient, in.
Speaker 1 (03:07):
The middle of that song.
Speaker 5 (03:09):
The AI voice went off on a complete tangent about feet.
Speaker 1 (03:13):
Because he mentioned feet one time. It's real good. It's
real good. This is now turned in. That, by the way,
was the shorter version. I had to cut that to pieces.
Speaker 6 (03:25):
That felt like it was 90 seconds. No, it was
pushing two minutes. But the original cat. Three minutes and
40 seconds long. That's a radio edit hit. I mean,
I might start putting these on iTunes.
Speaker 1 (03:36):
You could be making money doing this, TD. There's people
who do it. Listen, I'm having a good time just
telling the computer what to say. And then it just
does its thing. You can make a whole new genre
of music, country feet. Listen, you have to write every
word it says. So I kind of was just. Just riffing.
Rich with them turf touchers. I think they were concrete grippers. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
(04:01):
Concrete clompers. What did I write here? Man, he's got
those grass grabbers, man. Yeah, ground grippers. Oh, there it is.
Boot bangers. Concrete climbers. That's what you got.
Speaker 6 (04:15):
I've got some grass grippers right now.
Speaker 1 (04:17):
I need a pedicure. These toenails are a little long.
I want to talk to you about your tennis shoe snugglers. Golly. Man. Well,
thank you for that. It felt good. It does feel
like we should be drinking today on a... This or
that Thursday.
Speaker 6 (04:34):
There's a reason, and it's because, I don't know about you, T,
but if I don't get enough sleep, I wake up
feeling hungover.
Speaker 5 (04:39):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (04:40):
Yeah, yeah, yeah. I feel like I got beat up. Yeah,
welcome to your late 30s and 40s.
Speaker 5 (04:45):
If you want to feel hungover, all you need to
do is just not eat adequately or not sleep adequately.
Speaker 3 (04:50):
It's good.
Speaker 1 (04:50):
No drinks needed. Yeah, that's cool.
Speaker 5 (04:52):
Life gets more fun as you advance in age.
Speaker 1 (04:55):
Man, we got to get into the Guns N' Roses
concert because I was way off on my over-under on
their start time. I mean, way off. I am so
glad you guys went.
Speaker 5 (05:06):
And we have some concert tickets to give away today,
and we will. It's Big Rich TD and Fledge, 101.5 KGB.
The snap was packed. The dragon was loaded. It was
a Guns N' Roses show in San Diego. First time
in a little bit. And TD and Kat, both of
you went to the show. TD, now we'll start with
(05:26):
you because you actually got there for the concert. You
witnessed the Black Crows when they got to the stage.
Speaker 1 (05:33):
Kat did too. Kat just missed a couple because she
was waiting on trolleys.
Speaker 3 (05:36):
I was.
Speaker 6 (05:37):
I did see maybe the last third of Of the
Black Crowes set?
Speaker 1 (05:43):
The Black Crowes still rock. I mean, they absolutely can
do it, man, up on stage. But an abbreviated set,
I would say. Also very prompt. So doors opened at 5.
Concert was supposed to start at 625. And then I
bought my wife a ticket. I brought her along. We
were going to hang out. Kat, you brought your friend
(06:03):
Shay along as well. So, but 625. And I told
my wife, I'm like, there's no way it starts at 625.
I mean, this is a rock show. Right. These are
rock and roll. They're on their own time. 625. on
the money no i mean it was maybe maybe 626 you.
Speaker 5 (06:19):
Know what actually i will say this about mission valley
i think outside of sporting events when it's a rock
show or it's a performance i think they're told because
of noise violations they've got to be done at a
certain time otherwise they'll have to pay fines over and.
Speaker 1 (06:34):
Above there there is an 11 o'clock curfew at snapdragon
at least in in the week during the week and
i also said this is guns and roses man They're
going to say, F your curfew. I thought Guns N'
Roses was scheduled to come on stage between 8 and 8.30.
That's what time they were scheduled. I said, no way
(06:55):
they're on stage before 9 o'clock. 7.35 maybe?
Speaker 3 (06:59):
No way!
Speaker 1 (07:00):
I mean, it was crazy. This is 64, Axl Rose.
I get it. Hey, look, I understand.
Speaker 5 (07:08):
I'm telling you, they had a plane to catch because
one of their girlfriends had mahjong or something.
Speaker 1 (07:13):
This was going... I can't believe that they got on stage.
Speaker 6 (07:17):
Yeah, and I think their set was probably three hours.
I stayed till 9.40 and I saw two hours of
Guns N' Roses by 9.40.
Speaker 1 (07:26):
I'm shocked.
Speaker 7 (07:27):
Is there a little bit that takes it away from
what Guns N' Roses was? I know it was a
big complaint about Guns N' Roses that they always showed
up late.
Speaker 1 (07:32):
Right. Also, that's a little bit of their rock star attitude.
Speaker 5 (07:35):
Yeah, but nobody really liked that. In fact, it was
something that in the like people who went to their
concerts and had to wait around and wait around, wait around.
Speaker 1 (07:44):
We're pissed. I wasn't the only one, nor was Cat
the only one who thought, wow, they're really starting early
because when they started. There was maybe a quarter of
the stadium filled. Not that people weren't there, but they
were getting their hot dogs and beer and hanging out there.
They're buying merch. And then all of a sudden Guns N'
Roses starts playing. And when you're taking a picture, it
(08:07):
looks like nobody's there. But then minutes later.
Speaker 5 (08:11):
Maybe their lead guitarist had to catch a flight to
Acapulco for a.
Speaker 1 (08:15):
Vacation or something.
Speaker 6 (08:16):
No, I bet it's that they do have a three-hour
show and they want to make sure that they get
it all in before curfew. You get timely in.
Speaker 1 (08:24):
Your older age. I get it. I wrote a thank
you letter. Dropped it off. I'm like, man, that's awesome.
Get out of here at a normal time.
Speaker 5 (08:33):
I do say that is common courtesy and great etiquette
when you're at a rock and roll show to leave
the band a note.
Speaker 1 (08:40):
So very well done. Yeah, yeah. But Guns N' Roses,
hats off to them. They absolutely can just get out
there and kill it still. Oh, my gosh. I've never.
Have I? No, we've gone to one maybe show together, TD.
But I sent.
Speaker 6 (08:54):
The other two of you, Rich and Fletch, a video
of TD rocking out while the Black Crows were on.
Speaker 1 (08:59):
Yeah.
Speaker 6 (09:00):
And the entire concert, TD was going lyric for lyric,
bar for bar.
Speaker 1 (09:05):
He was belting out the music. He did that at
Post Malone, too. Do you just know every song from
every artist? I know a lot of words to a
lot of songs, and we just string them together.
Speaker 6 (09:15):
Think you were in your prime last night it felt
good i felt like i was in my.
Speaker 1 (09:19):
Wheelhouse i've never seen him had this much fun yeah
but i'll tell you what the the person right to
the right of me was david from sales oh yeah
who just could wreck me in gnr trivia he's he's
an incredible singer he um i forget the name of
his band but he has a rock band that he
performs and he's the lead singer of a rock band
And he.
Speaker 6 (09:38):
Told me that was his eighth time seeing Guns.
Speaker 5 (09:40):
N' Roses.
Speaker 1 (09:41):
Oh, crazy.
Speaker 5 (09:41):
Tigers in Cairo. Or Cairo Tigers. It's something like that. Wait,
that's his band? I swear, look it up. That's his band?
It's his band, yeah.
Speaker 1 (09:49):
You know them, TD? I do know them. What?
Speaker 5 (09:53):
Okay, I'll tell you the whole story. Why is he here?
We're going to do... Did he get kicked out?
Speaker 1 (10:00):
Of the band?
Speaker 5 (10:01):
We're going to do the Fletch Zone where Fletch talks
sports coming up next, and then we'll get back to this. Yeah,
that dude is the front man for Tigers in Cairo.
Speaker 1 (10:10):
Yeah, yeah, yeah. Wait, hold on. Am I drunk? No, no,
you're 100%. Actually, I don't know. You might be drunk.
You were at Guns N' Roses last night. Who knows?
Ladies and gentlemen.
Speaker 5 (10:21):
The couch has arrived against every prediction from friends, family,
the manufacturer itself.
Speaker 1 (10:28):
And he's assembled.
Speaker 5 (10:29):
The damn thing all by his own darn self as well.
Every bolt tightened, every cushion placed a monument to one
man's triumph over confusing foreign instructions and leftover hardware. Unfortunately,
ownership lasted approximately six minutes before Brock the Dog seized
the property and declared it a sovereign canine territory.
Speaker 1 (10:52):
He built the throne, but the dog wears the crown.
Speaker 5 (10:56):
Please remain standing, respect the new king, and admire the
craftsmanship from a.
Speaker 1 (11:01):
Safe distance because it's Brock's and Brock's alone. This is
the Fletch Talk!
Speaker 5 (11:08):
We're Fletch Talk Sports and sometimes couch.
Speaker 7 (11:12):
I would have been able to do it without my father-in-law.
And Brock did immediately take the couch, even though the
rule was no dogs on.
Speaker 1 (11:16):
The new couch. It was about five minutes in and
the new dog got on the new couch. All right,
let's go here.
Speaker 7 (11:21):
Remember that story about the Los Angeles Clippers where Kawhi
Leonard was paid some 30 plus million dollars kind of
under the table from a company called Aspiration to do
an endorsement deal, although he never actually did an endorsement deal.
Speaker 1 (11:33):
Can I say right now, Aspiration, I am available. That
would be cool. That would be a good choice. TD
also doesn't need to endorse your product. No, no, no.
And not ball.
Speaker 7 (11:48):
So the bombshell report that came out about a year
ago from a gentleman named Pablo Torre was that the
Clippers actually organized this behind the scenes to pay Kawhi
Leonard extra money without actually paying him extra money in
order to circumvent the salary cap of the NBA. Well,
the NBA has come down on the Los Angeles Clippers.
The punishment has been levied after a year of investigation.
(12:08):
It includes a $ 30 million fine, a year suspension for
the owner, Steve Ballmer, a year suspension for the president
of business operations, a six-month suspension for the president, other
president of basketball operations. And the biggest part of this,
what makes this maybe the biggest punishment ever handed down
to a professional sports franchise.
Speaker 1 (12:28):
Yeah.
Speaker 7 (12:29):
They lose their next five first round draft picks in
the NBA. Draft picks are everything. They're your trade value.
They're your compensation.
Speaker 1 (12:38):
They're there. How you may build a team. No, this
is huge.
Speaker 7 (12:41):
People are putting it on par with the Penn state
recruiting suspensions, the SMU recruiting suspensions.
Speaker 1 (12:48):
The Reggie Bush Heisman takeaway, this is massive. They'll be fine.
This is a 10-year punishment. So they'll be fine.
Speaker 5 (12:54):
So here's the reason why this is just a slap
on the hand, because you're looking at it through the
lens of a sports fan instead of an owner. Steve Ballmer,
he makes $ 30 million.
Speaker 1 (13:06):
I just looked this up. The $ 30 million doesn't matter. Every.
Speaker 5 (13:08):
10 days or so based on dividends.
Speaker 1 (13:11):
Whoa. The draft picks, who cares?
Speaker 5 (13:14):
That's probably and most likely going to be somebody else's problem.
Steve Ballmer can turn around and sell off this franchise
for a kajillion dollars. Nobody is going to turn their
nose up at... a for sale sign because they go, wait,
what about those five draft picks that you guys missed
out on?
Speaker 1 (13:32):
This is all a lot of pomp and circumstance.
Speaker 5 (13:35):
It's all going to, it's a big to do today,
but it's not going to mean anything when they come
to pay the Piper.
Speaker 1 (13:42):
In terms of the Clippers being competitive, it's going to
mean something. You can stockpile draft picks.
Speaker 5 (13:46):
They literally changed the rule two years ago so that
you can start trading for draft picks 10 years out.
So they can cover themselves with extra traded draft picks.
It's just a sham.
Speaker 1 (13:58):
What I think is wild, and obviously the NBA is
not taking this seriously. I mean, these guys obviously did
wrong and then... But you give three of them the
year off.
Speaker 7 (14:10):
Unpaid year off for the presidents of basketball.
Speaker 6 (14:13):
It's a sabbatical and sometimes you want a sabbatical.
Speaker 1 (14:15):
Man, I don't know how they're going to survive.
Speaker 5 (14:17):
Maybe there's a shell company that could pay them under
the table so that they can make ends meet.
Speaker 1 (14:23):
Maybe they can make some money back on betting.
Speaker 7 (14:27):
It was a loss yesterday for the San Diego Padres.
They actually dropped back out of playoff contention with the
diamondbacks winning, but it wasn't just the loss on the
field that hurt the most for the Padres news came
down that once again, Joe Musgrove's rehab is being paused.
So he has not pitched in a game since 2024
in the postseason. He has been working his way back. Remember,
(14:49):
he actually pitched in the offseason this year against Great
Britain and kind of an exhibition game with the Padres
in Great Britain.
Speaker 1 (14:55):
He has been recovering in AAA.
Speaker 7 (14:57):
He's pitched a ton recently, actually just through 60 pitches
the other day, but afterwards said he's dealing with some
elbow fatigue. They are putting a pause on him. He
may not pitch again this year. He may not pitch
again ever, but we'll see. He's still committed to pitching again.
Put that evil on me.
Speaker 1 (15:13):
This never is a crazy statement. He's getting older. This
is now a year and a half off in his...
How old is he? He's in his 30s.
Speaker 5 (15:21):
Manager Craig Stammen admitted that a major league return this
season is in serious doubt.
Speaker 1 (15:28):
33 years old, Joe Musgrove.
Speaker 5 (15:30):
So he's saying, look, with the Padres only having whatever
it is, 20 or so games left, and the possibility
of a postseason return with the Dodgers in the way
this year, the way they look, and some of the
other ball teams around the National League, if you want
to risk it for this season, might not be the year.
Speaker 1 (15:49):
So I don't know if we see Musgrove. You got
to risk it for the biscuit. That's true.
Speaker 5 (15:53):
They say that. And you butter it up. That's a
slippery biscuit.
Speaker 1 (15:56):
What? I don't hate the words you're saying. I don't
hate the words you're saying.
Speaker 7 (16:00):
It is frustrating because I think Padre fans, myself included,
we were expecting to see Joe Musgrove within the next week.
He was potentially coming back to the big league schedule.
He had three or four rehab starts under his belt.
It looked like everything was going well. He was pitching
in the high 90s. It looked like it was all happening,
and then just the pause button hurt.
Speaker 1 (16:17):
Cool, though. Ethan Salas had four at-bats. Yeah. He went
0 for 4. He almost hit a home run. Right
off the get.
Speaker 7 (16:25):
He hit one to the warning track and then struck
out a couple times. He did have a successful challenge
behind the plate where he tapped his head. That's good.
Speaker 1 (16:32):
He patted the old helmet.
Speaker 7 (16:34):
We talked yesterday about Stan Kroenke buying the Angels. Well,
he also gets a pretty sweet deal on the land
that the Angels currently sit on.
Speaker 1 (16:41):
What's his first order of business? Apartments.
Speaker 7 (16:43):
Knocked down that stadium, rebuilt a new one. He's doing
exactly what he did with the Rams. And so far,
he is building a $ 2. 5 billion stadium to replace Angel Stadium.
That land lease, by the way, goes for another 40-something years.
He's pretty set up.
Speaker 1 (16:57):
Yeah, yeah.
Speaker 5 (16:58):
Well, my curiosity is who owns the land that it's
leased from?
Speaker 1 (17:02):
Is it the city of Los Angeles?
Speaker 7 (17:03):
I don't know the answer to that, but I read
something last night that was saying the best part of
the Angels deal for Stan Kroenke is actually the land
that it sits on because of what he can develop
around it and the amount of time that the lease
he just bought goes for.
Speaker 1 (17:15):
Yeah. Have you guys ever eaten it? I believe it's
called The Catch that's right next to Angel Stadium. I've not. No.
They have this burger that feeds 12 or 14 people. What?
It's like a massive patty? It's one huge burger. Feels
like we have to eat there. I love that. One
of the best Korean barbecue places in the state is
right next to Angel Stadium, though. You stand on that business?
I stand on that business.
Speaker 5 (17:36):
There's actually a really good KBBQ place right here on, you.
Speaker 1 (17:41):
Get off convoy. Oh, you talking Booga? Yeah, Booga. Booga's unreal.
Did I tell you about Booga? No, my wife and
I have been going there for years. Oh yeah, Booga's good.
Booga sugar? Booga is delicious. Oh no.
Speaker 5 (17:52):
All right, hey, coming up, a major mistake was made
just a half hour ago.
Speaker 1 (17:57):
We'll explain next. it's just the tip with big rich.
Speaker 5 (18:02):
Ah yes it is it's a little advice i like
to slide out your way it's yours for the taking
if you want it if not push it back this
way no harm no foul it's just the tip with
big rich and today's advice it centers around when you
are throwing a party You never want to do things
last minute if you want to have a good one.
(18:23):
You want to make sure you build yourself a little
bit of a checklist and you start as the days
go by making sure boxes are checked, items are purchased.
The things that you're going to have to deal with
the day of the party should not be, oh my gosh,
I forgot cups. I got to run out and get cups.
Speaker 1 (18:42):
Oh no, we don't have any tablecloths.
Speaker 5 (18:44):
Like the day of the party type of stuff has
to be like battening down the hatches. Like, all right,
we got these things. We got to prepare that. We
got to fill the ice chest with this. You know,
you got to do the last minute preparations when you're
down to the last minute.
Speaker 1 (18:57):
Always forget to buy ice. I always forget that. This
sounds like you just screwed up a party. No. As
a matter of fact, I'm doing everything I can to
prevent screwing.
Speaker 7 (19:06):
Up a party.
Speaker 1 (19:07):
Are you throwing a party, Rich?
Speaker 5 (19:09):
For throwing a little dad's get-together on the beach where
we are going to be drafting our fantasy football teams.
Speaker 1 (19:17):
So what do I need?
Speaker 5 (19:18):
I need a fire pit. To illegally light a fire
on the beach. I was going to say, one, is
that allowed? Two, what time do you have to get
there to secure a fire pit?
Speaker 7 (19:27):
You need a bunch of beers to illegally drink on
the beach.
Speaker 1 (19:31):
We call that juice. I was going to say soft
drinks or juices. Thank you. Yes.
Speaker 6 (19:36):
You can have a bonfire on the beach unless there's
a burn van, which I don't think there.
Speaker 1 (19:40):
Is right now.
Speaker 5 (19:41):
Well, you see, Kat, I'm going to throw caution to
the wind, and I'm just going to not name the
beach I'm going to be on, but I'm going to
be on a beach somewhere, capes.
Speaker 1 (19:49):
Yes. All right.
Speaker 5 (19:52):
So we're going to do that. We're going to have
a cooler filled up with some juice. And then we're
going to need some chairs. I might have to bring
my Wi-Fi hotspot to support laptops. There's going to be
a couple of things going on. It's going to be
a bit of a to-do. So what I began to do,
like last night, perfect example. I mean, it's only Wednesday.
(20:15):
I washed off the cooler. I made sure that sucker
was dry.
Speaker 1 (20:19):
That's nice.
Speaker 5 (20:19):
Today, after my work responsibilities are over with, I'm going
to buy a couple of juices.
Speaker 1 (20:25):
Make sure I have the juices available.
Speaker 7 (20:27):
I recommend buying your juice at Costco because for the
same price as 30 juices is at like a Vons or.
Speaker 1 (20:32):
Something, you get 36 juices at Costco. You know where
I would get juice? Kagan Bottle. Kagan Bottle. Oh, you know,
they got some easy locations around San Diego. Yeah, it's
easy to get to.
Speaker 5 (20:43):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (20:44):
I would also think about moving your party from the
sand to somewhere sensible, like the Elks Lodge or something. No, dude.
There has to be a multi-purpose room. Elks Lodge, by
the way? Life hack. I like that. I like the
way you said that. I messed up a little bit.
Elk's Lodge is about to win. The Elk's Lodge. You
need to know someone who's a member there. Anyways, Rich,
(21:05):
please continue.
Speaker 5 (21:06):
I'm not an Elk's Lodge member, but I do know
where the beach is. And so I'm just going to
head there. Do I like a multipurpose room?
Speaker 1 (21:16):
Yes, I do.
Speaker 5 (21:17):
Because of the linoleum tiling and the easy cleanup.
Speaker 1 (21:20):
However.
Speaker 5 (21:21):
However, my plan is also, I realized after fishing my little,
what do you call it, fire pit out of the backyard,
it's gotten rusty. Wherever that thing sets its fire, that's
going to be its last fire it sets.
Speaker 1 (21:37):
I'm going to leave it right there. I've done that before.
I'm going to put my backyard on fire.
Speaker 5 (21:40):
I want somebody to walk by and be like, oh
my God, somebody left a fire pit. So that means
that's a free fire pit. And they're going to take
it off my hands for me. Oh, my God. Speaking
of couch, Fletch got a new couch. I got rid
of a couch. Let me tell you how I did it. Oh,
come on. He just asked you.
Speaker 1 (21:58):
What? It's 101.5 KGB.
Speaker 5 (22:00):
So a lot of conversation over couches recently.
Speaker 1 (22:04):
Fletch, he went.
Speaker 5 (22:06):
To a few different stores, furniture stores. Over the weekend
prior to the steepest discounts you'll find, which is Labor Day.
Speaker 1 (22:15):
They were already on discount. But he still found some deals.
And he brings home the couch.
Speaker 5 (22:19):
Or actually, it's delivered, but it's in pieces. And you're
able to assemble it alongside your father-in-law.
Speaker 1 (22:25):
Got it done. Got it done. Lots of sweat. Little
bit of blood. Game on.
Speaker 6 (22:29):
I bet you're glad that your father-in-law was still in
town so that he could help you build a couch.
Speaker 1 (22:33):
It was lucky. Also, why have delivery windows if you're
not going to stick delivery windows? That's all I'm saying.
Speaker 7 (22:38):
The delivery window was like, I think it was noon
to three, something like that.
Speaker 1 (22:42):
Couch got there at 9 a.m. Actually, not a bad
delivery window. The last time I had something delivered to
the house, the delivery window was between 8 a.m. And
6 p.m. Dude, I remember getting one like.
Speaker 2 (22:52):
That, too.
Speaker 1 (22:53):
There was like a 12-hour time. I just had to
hang out for 10 hours and cross my fingers?
Speaker 5 (22:58):
I was like, so you could have just said that day.
You could have said, we're going to bring it sometime
on Tuesday. And that would have been accurate.
Speaker 1 (23:04):
I'm just supposed to take the day off and wait
for the couch to arrive? So dumb.
Speaker 5 (23:09):
Well, anyway, so I had a couch I was getting
rid of, and I offered it to Fletch. I said, buddy,
I was like, we don't need the couch we have
in the living room anymore.
Speaker 1 (23:18):
Do you want it? And he went, nah, dude, I'm
looking for a sectional.
Speaker 6 (23:22):
What kind of couch are we getting rid of? It's
like a normal three-seater.
Speaker 5 (23:25):
It's a three-seat couch and then a love seat companion.
So it was a leather set. Real nice.
Speaker 1 (23:31):
Why are you getting rid of it? Because we don't
need it anymore. You don't need a couch? We're going
to sit on the floor. Show us a video of
you dragging this couch out. It was... It was white.
It was white leather?
Speaker 5 (23:42):
It was like a cream leather couch. There's no one
that goes through furniture like Rich Orberger, by the way.
A few years ago, he said, get rid of the couches.
We're getting beanbags.
Speaker 1 (23:51):
And then it was about 12 hours later, he went,
that was a mistake. Yeah, beanbags suck. 12 months. We
had those for a year.
Speaker 2 (23:59):
No way.
Speaker 1 (23:59):
It was a disaster. You had no couch? You just
had beanbags?
Speaker 5 (24:02):
We filled our living room with beanbags so the kids
couldn't hurt themselves.
Speaker 1 (24:06):
If I had ever gone to your house and you said,
have a seat, I could not... Because I couldn't get up.
I would have to roll out and then climb up
some sort of cabinet. Part of the reason why we
got rid of.
Speaker 5 (24:20):
The beanbags in the living room is because when I
would sit down on the couch, whatever time that was,
was the last time I sat until I woke up
from the beanbags the next morning. And my back got worse.
Annie slept by herself most nights. I was like, I'm stuck.
Speaker 1 (24:37):
Leave me here. Come on without me.
Speaker 5 (24:40):
Well, anyway, so the couch that we're moving on from,
I bring it out to the front and I'm like, man,
I do not want to stuff this back into the car,
rent a U-Haul to bring it to the dump. It's
going to be either a two-stop process if I have
to do it with the 4Runner. If I get a U-Haul,
we're going to have to pay the rental, jump through
all the hoops, go wait in line.
Speaker 1 (24:59):
I'm just going to throw it on the curb. I
put it on the curb. This is Pacific Beach, California, folks.
Speaker 5 (25:05):
I put it on the curb and I put a
sign using painter's tape that says free.
Speaker 1 (25:09):
Free to get home.
Speaker 5 (25:11):
Yeah, that's right. I'm rehoming this couch. Adoption fee applied.
So I leave it out there at noon. I'm not
even kidding you. I was leaving to pick the kids
up at school. At three, the couches were gone.
Speaker 1 (25:26):
Oh, yeah.
Speaker 5 (25:26):
In less than three hours, somebody came by. I mean, like,
it must have taken 30 seconds.
Speaker 6 (25:33):
By the way, you would not even need the free sign.
People assume if it's out on the curb, it is
free game.
Speaker 1 (25:39):
Oh, I know. A couch on the curb? Yes. Maybe
if they thought it was passion fruit.
Speaker 5 (25:43):
I was about to say, yeah, I know how that
goes because we have that passion fruit bush, and apparently
that's free, too.
Speaker 1 (25:50):
And I don't know what is going on with vehicles
on the beach, but now two people suffered serious injuries
last night after their truck rolled over while driving in
the sand at Fiesta Island. Authorities said.
Speaker 6 (26:05):
Fiesta Island, you do drive out to. It's like people
bring their dogs out there.
Speaker 1 (26:09):
You can drive through the sand there? Oh, yeah. I
thought it was only in Pismo you could drive along
the sand. You can drive the sand here?
Speaker 5 (26:14):
Yeah, you can drive out to Fiesta Island and park
your RV or your car or your truck right up
against the water. It's kind of fun when you do it.
It's a novelty to me. I've lived out here for.
Speaker 1 (26:27):
47 years. You've never gone there? To Fiesta Island? Wait,
is that where the roller coaster is? No. Fiesta Island's cool.
It's kind of Mission Bay. It's where we did the fireworks.
It's close by. Oh, it's right there.
Speaker 5 (26:38):
Oh, yeah.
Speaker 1 (26:39):
I didn't know about that. You know what? It sounds
like a party.
Speaker 7 (26:40):
When you back the truck up to the water, you
put two folding chairs in the back of your truck.
Speaker 1 (26:44):
You just have an all-day party.
Speaker 5 (26:45):
I was going to say you would like it because
you technically don't ever have to touch the sand.
Speaker 1 (26:51):
I like Del Mar because it's grass. Okay.
Speaker 5 (26:54):
Well, I'm telling you, you don't even have to touch grass.
You can literally drive your truck, back it up.
Speaker 1 (26:59):
To the water. And you can just jump right in.
Just climb over the back. Yeah, that's it. Yeah, climb
out the sliding back window. I don't mind it, but
let's not drive dumb. Apparently, it was swerving. The truck
rolled over. The driver suffered a brain bleed and multiple
spinal fractures. There were two other women in the car.
(27:19):
One of them has a fractured scapula and multiple spinal fractures.
Broken shoulder blade. I knew it. I thought it was
some sort of device you use to flip a burger.
I was going to say, it's way worse when you
break a spatula.
Speaker 6 (27:34):
Okay.
Speaker 1 (27:35):
I'm glad both of our heads went there. Inconvenient. Gloria Steinem,
the American journalist and political activist who became the face
of the second wave of feminism in the late 60s
and early 70s, passed away yesterday at the age of 92. Kat,
do you know Gloria Steinem? I don't know her. I
feel like she'd be someone in your wheelhouse. Yeah, now
(27:56):
I feel like I missed out on her and I'll
have to look her up. You should. You should, definitely.
Speaker 5 (28:00):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (28:02):
Ahead of its hotly anticipated launch, the functional mock-up of
Apple's new foldable phone, the iPhone Ultra has been leaked
to a Canadian YouTube channel. Now, this channel has almost
27 million subscribers. What? But now over 2 million people
have looked at this thing. It's the foldable iPhone. I mean, it's...
(28:24):
It looks essentially exactly like the Samsung deal, but the
Worldwide Developers Conference is coming up on the 9th of September.
At today's Apple event. That's the one, and you will
see the iPhone Ultra released, and people who have looked
at this video are already upset because they said... This
foldable phone has a giant crease in the middle of it. Oh, wow. Now,
(28:48):
I will say. It looks like a little tablet.
Speaker 5 (28:51):
It is.
Speaker 1 (28:51):
I don't know why you'd want this. I have no idea.
There's a screen on the front as well when it's
folded in half, but it's basically a square when it's
folded in half.
Speaker 7 (28:59):
I feel like you'd get that thing and you would
only ever use the screen on the front. Like, you
would never actually unfold it. I feel like the only
time that would be useful to me. Do you ever,
when you're using your phone.
Speaker 1 (29:10):
In the bathroom. Okay. Okay.
Speaker 5 (29:12):
Well wherever i mean but like sometimes you want to
toggle between two apps and it's annoying that you can't
keep them open if they have a way to keep
two apps open and next to each other on the
same screen that would be cool that would be to
me it would it would solve maybe one problem that
comes up once a month at the most.
Speaker 7 (29:32):
Youtube on the bottom whatever candy crush on the top
is that what you're talking.
Speaker 1 (29:35):
About There you go. Yeah, yeah. Man, I mean, you
could just get a tablet. Yeah, but you can't split
screen like that. Do you think this will be different
than a tablet? I hope it is. I mean, otherwise,
then just buy a tablet. That's my argument.
Speaker 5 (29:48):
If they set it up where those two screens that
fold together can be used independently or together is my point.
Speaker 1 (29:54):
Oh, got it, got it. I'm saying that this is
a mock-up. I doubt that that fold is there. I
hope not. For all of our sake. I mean, what
would we do if it is? By the way, this
thing's supposed to cost over two grand. It's going to
be a pretty pricey little toy. Yeah, boy. You know
what else is pricey? Well, not for you.
Speaker 5 (30:17):

Speaker 1 (31:06):
Monterey tickets are hot, by the way. You were at
a show yourself yesterday.
Speaker 5 (31:11):
You went to Snapdragon Stadium TD, and you took in
Guns N' Roses, the Black Crows, open for them. And
you were sitting next to one of our sales guys,
David Martin, who is the lead singer of a band.
And you were completely unaware of this, but he is...
The front man for Tigers in Cairo. You're like, oh
my God, I listen to Tigers in Cairo all the time.
He is in that band.
Speaker 1 (31:32):
Well, I said I know the band. I said I
do know the band. You're like, I have some of
their music on my iTunes. I do. I do have that.
But not their music, it turns out. It's not them.
Who was it that? Okay, so after we did that,
what was that? 6.20 this morning. I've been digging through.
I'm like, God, I know this band, but why? I'm
(31:54):
not even close, guys. What's the name again? Tigers and Pyros?
I don't know. Maybe I thought porno for Pyros. Maybe
that's what popped into my head. But the band I
was thinking of was... capital cities and there is a
tiger on the cover of the album oh my god
that was the band C's for Cairo I guess I
(32:14):
don't have any idea but when you said it I'm
like wait I mean I know the band I know
the song I've seen it pop up in my iTunes
library that is so funny it is not his band.
Speaker 5 (32:26):
As it turns out time out though how much funnier
this would have been If you were sitting next to
David and you're like, man, you got a great voice, David.
You're belting out these Guns N' Roses tunes. And he goes, oh, yeah, man.
I'm the lead singer for Tigers in Cairo. And you're like, oh,
my God. I love your song, Martian Man. And he's like, oh, no,
that's the Capital Cities.
Speaker 1 (32:47):
And you're just like, oh. I don't know. Sorry.
Speaker 4 (32:50):
I don't know.
Speaker 1 (32:51):
I have no idea. Just a small stroke this morning,
I guess. I have no clue. But I wish he
was in Capital Cities. I'll be quite honest. He might, too. Yeah,
no kidding. But I did. I was shocked that he
was working here if he was in such a successful band. Well,
everybody's got to have a second job. You know, San
(33:12):
Diego's expensive. I don't want a second job.
Speaker 5 (33:14):
Classic Tigers and Cairo Capital Cities mix-up.
Speaker 1 (33:17):
That stuff happens. It happens.
Speaker 5 (33:19):
Happens guns and roses played snapdragon stadium last night two
of our show members here on big rich td and
fletch one on one five kgb was in attendance we
had td and his wife sarah uh cat you were
there as well with your friend shay you guys.
Speaker 1 (33:34):
All rocked it shay by the way has no phone
so there's no way to communicate with shay I didn't know.
Speaker 6 (33:40):
That she had no phone until yesterday. And she's like, well, yeah,
I'm still without a phone.
Speaker 1 (33:43):
I'm like, what do you mean still? I had no
idea you had no phone. I think she dropped it
in the ocean. So she's been waiting for a new one.
We've met Shay a handful of times.
Speaker 5 (33:53):
We know so much about Shay because she's constantly getting
up to hijinks. She reminds me of Dennis the Menace,
the comic. It's so funny. Did Guns N' Roses play Knockin'
on Heaven's Door last night?
Speaker 1 (34:07):
It was maybe halfway through the show. It kind of
brought the house down because they would let the crowd
sing the chorus, Knockin' on Heaven's Door. The band would
just stop and Snapdragon lit up.
Speaker 7 (34:20):
While we were just playing Knock It On Heaven's Door,
Rich and Kat, your eyes were glazed over. TD was
spewing out a bunch of facts about Knock It On
Heaven's Door.
Speaker 1 (34:27):
I'm just saying, obviously a Bob Dylan tune.
Speaker 7 (34:29):
But he was making some really constipated faces during all that,
so I don't think he was right.
Speaker 1 (34:34):
Wow, because I was trying to pinpoint the year of
when Bob Dylan did Knockin' on Heaven's Door. Actually, Knockin'
on Heaven's Door, I believe, first came out on the
soundtrack of the 1977 movie Pat Garrett and Billy the Kid.
And then it was redone by Guns N' Roses, which
came out on the Days of Thunder soundtrack. And I
want to say that was 1990. But then we didn't
(34:56):
get it. We got it on Days of Thunder soundtrack,
but then we got it on Use Your Illusion 2 soundtrack.
which was, what, 92?
Speaker 7 (35:00):
Are you ready for the fact check? Yeah, let's hear it. Okay,
wrong on the first one. Bob Dylan wrote it in 1973. Knockin'
on Heaven's Door? For Pat Garrett and Billy the Kid.
Speaker 1 (35:11):
You're right about the movie, wrong about the year. Guns N'
Roses did their studio version on June 26th, 1990. All right.
Speaker 7 (35:19):
For the Days of Thunder soundtrack, which was the Tom
Cruise movie, which is now going to be Days of
Thunder 2 with Anne Hathaway.
Speaker 1 (35:25):
Yeah. I think Anne Hathaway's in too many movies now.
She's getting a little overexposed. Yeah, yeah.
Speaker 7 (35:30):
She went through a dry spell. After Dark Knight Rises,
she wasn't in anything for years and years and years.
And now all of a sudden, she's in everything. It's like, it's...
four or five movies a year. Every couple months I
got a new Anne Hathaway. She's good to look at though.
She's also a brilliant actress.
Speaker 1 (35:44):
She's pretty good. I don't know if I love her
acting but I think she's stunning.
Speaker 7 (35:49):
She steals the show in the Odyssey. I don't think
anyone else in the room has seen it. She is
the best part of that movie. Devil Wears Prada.
Speaker 6 (35:55):
I have to tell you guys, I know that you
don't like Rich and Fletch. You do not like going
to see movies with T.D. because he talks through the
whole thing.
Speaker 1 (36:02):
That's correct. But actually going to a concert with T.D.
is even worse. It's a good experience. No, I like it. No,
my wife won't do it again.
Speaker 6 (36:09):
I can ask a question about anything and T.D. has
the answer.
Speaker 1 (36:13):
Like I can say, when did this song come out?
What was this song? What album? What soundtrack? If you
just say things with confidence, the cat just turns around.
Speaker 7 (36:20):
When we left a concert we went to with TD,
my wife said, I won't do that again out of
secondhand embarrassment.
Speaker 1 (36:26):
Wow. That's crazy. Because he was singing? All I did
is yell at her. I asked her questions, and we
were sitting 10 or 15 rows away, so I had
to yell. That was all. When did this song come out, TD? Actually,
I think I was asking her about her first day
of work or something.
Speaker 3 (36:42):
You were?
Speaker 1 (36:43):
Yeah.
Speaker 6 (36:44):
Oh, wait.
Speaker 1 (36:44):
To Kendall?
Speaker 3 (36:45):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (36:45):
Post Malone was playing. Oh, my God. That's what it
sounded like, yeah. That's insane. That is insane.
Speaker 5 (36:54):
Actually, the two times I've gone to the movies with TD, actually,
maybe it's more than that now.
Speaker 1 (36:59):
Maybe it's three or four.
Speaker 5 (37:01):
We've always had a barrier of about four people between us,
and I can still hear him talking.
Speaker 1 (37:06):
It wasn't enough? Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. Sometimes things need
to be said. I love hearing stories like this.
Speaker 5 (37:13):
I have a neighbor who was telling me about how
at work, He gets away with naps.
Speaker 1 (37:20):
Okay. It's like a brilliant, brilliant scheme. Like he actually
naps at work. Like in the building that he works at.
You mean like on a brown leather couch in someone's
not their office? Cat laughs because I wanted to do
that once.
Speaker 5 (37:36):
In our not our office, we have a great napping
couch that TD brought in one time.
Speaker 1 (37:40):
It's so comfortable. Very comfortable.
Speaker 5 (37:41):
I've napped on it in several different states of either
sobriety or inebriation. It's really fun. It's very plush. Kat,
you've yet to nap there, but around a radio station.
Speaker 1 (37:55):
I don't know. To me, this would be a very....
Speaker 5 (37:59):
I guess to bastardize a term, like an ununique place
to nap.
Speaker 1 (38:04):
I feel like a lot of people nap at radio stations.
Maybe they do. It would be easy. Yeah.
Speaker 7 (38:09):
If you come in on a Saturday, there's a guy
who I'll leave nameless who is just napping in the
performance studio pretty much every Saturday.
Speaker 1 (38:16):
Around 8, 9 a.m. There is one studio that I
don't even know if the lights turn on. But there
is a couch inside of it that you can go
into that I don't think anyone goes in unless they're
looking for a nap.
Speaker 5 (38:27):
I think that I think I know exactly that's it.
But radio stations are open every single hour of the day. Like,
you know, you buzz yourself in. You can nap somewhere. Well,
this place that this gentleman works is not a nappy
type place.
Speaker 1 (38:41):
Like, you don't nap.
Speaker 6 (38:43):
They're productive at this environment.
Speaker 1 (38:47):
Okay. So not far off.
Speaker 5 (38:48):
But like, so the way he does it is he
tells all of his coworkers he's going for lunch and
a meeting.
Speaker 1 (38:55):
Uh-huh.
Speaker 5 (38:56):
Okay. And so he does, in fact, go for lunch,
but he brings the lunch with him. And he found
a basement room that nobody knows about.
Speaker 1 (39:04):
No way.
Speaker 5 (39:05):
He was like, not too many people even know that
there's a basement in this building.
Speaker 1 (39:08):
He's like, but I found it.
Speaker 5 (39:10):
And he was like, so this one door that used
to be locked, that was left open one day, he
was like, I have no idea by whom he was like,
but it's a trap. He was like, but, but it
doesn't lock from the inside. He was like, so what
I do is I take two hours because I say
the meeting is going to be an hour and my lunch,
I get an hour. He was like, so I go
(39:31):
down to this basement. I have two hours. He's like,
so I scarfed down my lunch in like, you know,
30 minutes, 20 minutes. I goof around on my phone
until I pass out. I set a timer and then
I wake up at, you know, 10. 2.30 or 3 o'clock,
whenever that two-hour stretch is over, he was like, I've
got an hour and a half, two hours.
Speaker 1 (39:49):
Left of work. Yeah, the workday's almost done at that point.
Speaker 5 (39:51):
And he was like, I feel positively rejuvenated. He was like,
it's improved my marriage. It's made me a better dad
when I get home. I have more energy for the
gym because some nights I guess he goes to the.
Speaker 1 (40:03):
Gym after he leaves work. I'm like, man. We should
build in a nap. It should be a part of
the workday.
Speaker 6 (40:09):
Yeah, certain countries build in a siesta because they know
that they need a little bit of a nap after lunch.
Speaker 1 (40:16):
Siesta. He's now giving you enough information that when he
goes missing, we need to check the basement.
Speaker 7 (40:23):
This is the premise of the movie Backrooms that came
out this summer. It was one of the horror movies
that cost nothing to make and made a gazillion dollars.
Speaker 1 (40:31):
I haven't seen it yet.
Speaker 7 (40:32):
The guy who manages the store finds a basement that
he didn't know existed in his building. And then it
ends up being like a portal to a different world.
Speaker 1 (40:38):
This guy's in danger.
Speaker 5 (40:39):
Well, I said to him, I was like, one day
you're going to wake up and you're going to see
something you don't want to see.
Speaker 1 (40:45):
Like, you know, like all of a sudden we're like, Oh,
who are you? I'm Dave. Oh, so that box over there,
that's a Dave's porn. That's your box. Yeah. Yeah. This
is my porn room. One, one, five KGB. It's big,
rich TD and Fletch. All right.
Speaker 5 (41:00):
If, if I were going to ask you what's your
biggest daily pet peeve, what would it be? biggest daily
pet peeve like like a normal day's life like so
you know you wake up you have work to do
you've got driving to do you've got interactions with you
know co-workers family kids whatever it may be but like
(41:21):
is there anything that happens on a daily basis that
you think to yourself like man you know it just
kind of grinds my gears when dot dot dot.
Speaker 1 (41:28):
Brushing my teeth what i hate doing it That is concerning.
I do it. I just don't like doing it. You
should be glad to brush your teeth. It's an annoying chore.
I am feeling very disgusted right now. I do it
twice a day. I do it when I wake up
or when I go to sleep, but I don't like
(41:48):
doing it. It takes two minutes. It's 120 seconds that
we brush our teeth for. I try to consolidate it.
I do it in the shower. Insane reaction. Man, it
is annoying to brush my teeth. Fletch, weep. I kind
of get what Fletch is saying. It really throws a
speed bump in things. You're moving. You're grooving. You're like,
(42:09):
oh my God, I forgot to brush my teeth. I
can't wait to brush. I'm excited to brush my teeth
in the morning. What do you do with your teeth?
How bad is your day?
Speaker 6 (42:18):
I put on a retainer at night. And so when
I pop my retainer out in the morning, I'm excited
to brush my teeth.
Speaker 5 (42:25):
So full transparency, I hate brushing my teeth and sometimes skip.
Speaker 1 (42:29):
It all together depending on what I'm doing. God, this
is why men are so gross.
Speaker 5 (42:33):
So if I wake up and I'm excited for breakfast,
I don't want my breakfast to taste minty.
Speaker 1 (42:37):
So I'll eat breakfast first.
Speaker 5 (42:38):
And then there are times where I'll go back in
the bathroom, brush my teeth because I've finished enjoying my breakfast.
Speaker 1 (42:43):
Or sometimes I forget and it'll be like midday. I'll
be like, oof.
Speaker 5 (42:47):
I forgot to brush my teeth this morning and maybe
I'm not near my toothbrush.
Speaker 1 (42:50):
Maybe I can't, but I'll get to it eventually. The
other thing I hate about it is at nighttime, you're exhausted.
Oh my God.
Speaker 6 (42:58):
Don't tell me that you go to sleep without brushing
your teeth.
Speaker 5 (43:02):
I have, who hasn't? I, there, there are, there are
nights where I'm sitting there brushing my teeth. I'm like,
I've just extended how long it's going to take me
to go to bed by 30 minutes. Because I'm on
my feet and you're doing something physically active. You know,
for the most of us who aren't like, you know,
cycle instructors, Kat, brushing your teeth, that's cardio.
Speaker 1 (43:23):
It does not get your heart rate up. 120 beats
per minute. It's moving. I would say that. And also,
if you brush your teeth, let's say at night. And
then you think, oh, man, I wanted to drink that
glass of orange juice. Oh, my gosh.
Speaker 5 (43:37):
Ruined. Ruined.
Speaker 1 (43:38):
OJ after a toothbrush is a bad combo. How about
a glass of milk after brushing your teeth? It's awful. Okay,
but you're supposed to do all that before you brush
your teeth. What?
Speaker 6 (43:45):
Your teeth are supposed to be clean before you go
to bed because you close your mouth all night and
then whatever bacteria you have in there is just illuminating
in your mouth.
Speaker 1 (43:51):
When I lay in bed with a sleeve of Oreos. Also,
just lay in bed all of a sudden. Oh, man.
It's been a while since I've eaten. I'm hungry. There's
chocolate cake in the fridge. I do have a hack.
You can eat chocolate cake without milk? That's insane. I
do have a hack.
Speaker 5 (44:04):
So if you brush your teeth before bed and use
obviously like minty toothbrush or toothpaste, you go to your
bedside table.
Speaker 1 (44:13):
You know what I keep in there? Thin mints. Thin mints.
Speaker 2 (44:15):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (44:16):
Genius. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Speaker 5 (44:17):
Exactly right. Because you can't... The minty doesn't counteract the minty.
It's just more minty. Is this just the tips?
Speaker 1 (44:23):
Oh my gosh.
Speaker 5 (44:24):
You ever try to make like eye contact with your
spouse or maybe with somebody you're out with when... Plans
are being hatched when somebody is trying.
Speaker 1 (44:35):
To be like, oh, you know what we should all
do together?
Speaker 5 (44:38):
And then they start filling in the blanks with their idea.
And you're standing there with your wife or cat. You
could have a friend there and another friend group is
trying to hatch this plan. And you're just desperately trying
to make eye contact.
Speaker 1 (44:55):
Like, please do not sign up for this. To let
them know.
Speaker 6 (44:57):
Okay, so it's less of eye contact and more of
a death stare. Like, you better not.
Speaker 5 (45:02):
Or like you're waiting for the person who's speaking to
look away to somebody else so you can give your
person the old slash across the neck. Like, if you
do this, I'll kill you. Like, you know, that type
of thing. I would say once a week this happens
to me. Where... me and Annie were standing somewhere and
(45:22):
plans are being hatched and I'm just like, man.
Speaker 1 (45:24):
I don't want to do this. There's no way.
Speaker 5 (45:29):
I want them to implant something in my brain that
I can talk to her brain without having to take
out my phone or having to say it out loud
or make eye contact.
Speaker 1 (45:38):
What about a signal? What if we come up with
a signal? Like hand signals? Yeah, or maybe it's a
code word. I'm just over there flapping my arms going, cuckoo! Cuckoo!
Or maybe there's a code word. We are not going
to the first communion for your child. You have to
(45:58):
have some lines ready to go. And both of you
have to have them chambered at all times. Now, first off.
If this is happening once a week, you hang around
too many people that want to make plans. All right.
Speaker 7 (46:10):
So that you got to get rid of friends. And
there's so many times you can use that. I got
to go give blood excuse. So you got to start
coming up with new ones. What's getting crazy is how
many times I was like, oh, next Wednesday. I'm like,
no way.
Speaker 1 (46:20):
I'm going to have diarrhea.
Speaker 5 (46:21):
It doesn't work anymore. Nobody believes me.
Speaker 1 (46:24):
So you got it. You got to have one loaded
up like, like what day? Like, oh my gosh, this
sounds awesome. Yeah. I got that work thing though. Remember the,
I don't know, whatever that stupid thing they want me
to go do. Oh, that could work. And then, uh,
and then if she said the same thing, man, I,
you know, I see her either that day. That's true.
(46:44):
That's true. 105 KGB.
Speaker 5 (46:45):
More Motley Crue tickets after Trending with TD.
Speaker 1 (46:47):
101.5 KGB. Trending with TD. Well, I know if you're
like me, then when you think baseball juggernauts, you think
the Detroit Tigers. They have reached a pre-agreement. With a 12-year-old,
Kevin Sosa has a $ 4 million verbal agreement and a
(47:08):
signing bonus to make him the youngest player in international
baseball history to secure a deal of that magnitude. Apparently,
this kid is an absolute rock star. All 30 of
the teams are looking at him, wanting him. He's already
hitting fastballs 93 miles an hour and slugging them. This
kid's going to be awesome. Could have been me if
it wasn't for the shoulder. What's his name again? Kevin Sosa.
(47:30):
Kevin Sosa. Kevin Sosa. Is he related to Sammy Sosa?
I hope so. Oh, you know what? In my brain,
I was thinking Kaiser Sosa. I don't know what that is. Oh,
my God. Is it The Untouchables? What's the movie called? No,
not The Untouchables. And you just knock on it. Oh,
it's The Usual Suspects. Oh. Who is Kaiser Sosa? It's
(47:51):
Kevin Spacey's character.
Speaker 6 (47:52):
Hmm.
Speaker 1 (47:54):
He kind of looks like a little young Sammy. Okay,
very cool. I don't know if he's related at all.
Speaker 7 (47:58):
No public relation between 12-year-old Dominican prospect Kevin Sosa and
retired MLB slugger Sammy Simpson.
Speaker 1 (48:03):
Looks up Kaiser Sosa. Yeah, what about him? It's a
fictional character. We don't know that for sure. Says you.
Don't know that for sure. The Killers frontman, Brandon Flowers,
was at a private food-buy corporate event out on the
beach outside of the Hotel Del last night. And then
broke into concert, had an unexpected free concert, and then
(48:24):
they invited people over. People were walking over on the sand.
They were handing out the frontman for the Killers. No way! Yeah,
so apparently his brother is part of this food-buy corporation.
And he was at this corporate event. So his brother,
Shane Flowers, came out with them for the last song
when they did Mr. Brightside. That is awesome. But they
were handing out glow sticks. Yeah, that's fun.
Speaker 6 (48:46):
Okay, so there was a thread on Reddit kind of
giving the signs that this was going to happen.
Speaker 1 (48:51):
And one of my friends sent it to me. And
we were already going to Guns N' Roses.
Speaker 6 (48:55):
Otherwise, I would have been at the Hotel Del just
to see if it was going to happen.
Speaker 1 (49:00):
And it did. If I was sent something on a hunch... No. Oh, yeah.
Drive down to Coronado. Can you imagine how disappointed you
would be?
Speaker 6 (49:10):
Disappointed because at worst you would see a sunset.
Speaker 1 (49:14):
Yeah, but actually I see that at home.
Speaker 5 (49:18):
Sunsets at the Hotel Del are nice but you have
to pay like $ 37 for two tacos at one of
those beach stands.
Speaker 1 (49:26):
I did pay $ 7 for a water. Last night? No,
not last night. At the Hotel Del. I'm surprised that
you purchased a water, T.D.
Speaker 5 (49:33):
You know what I like to call the Hotel Del
and nobody there likes when I say it?
Speaker 1 (49:37):
The Red Roof Inn. I hate it. It's weird. That's
a catchy name. Really good. It's got a red roof
on it. Survivor Greece, which I just found out that
they have survivor shows in different countries. I don't know
why that never dawned on me, but they're one of
the contestants from this past season. Starvos Flores is suing
(49:58):
producers there because... He was out fishing and a prop
boat went over the top of him and cut his
leg off. Oh my gosh. From the knee down. He
is suing. For $ 100 million. Was it one of the
production boats? I don't know that answer. That would be
the key, right?
Speaker 6 (50:18):
But even if it wasn't one of the production boats,
I mean, if you're filming a show, you assume that
they're protecting you while.
Speaker 1 (50:25):
You're out filming for them.
Speaker 5 (50:26):
I will say this, though. I saw this guy's legs.
I think he's lowballing them. That leg is like a
$ 200 million leg.
Speaker 1 (50:34):
He's Greek and a name like Starbos? Dude, yeah. He
probably did have nice legs.
Speaker 6 (50:37):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (50:38):
Some people describe them as great legs. Dear Survivor Grease,
$ 50 million you can have both my legs.
Speaker 7 (50:46):
Honestly, you could run me over with a boat if
I'm guaranteed to be alive for $ 50 million.
Speaker 1 (50:51):
In a heartbeat. I don't know you guys. Your brother
ran you over in a boat for free. He ran
me over on a jet ski. Thank goodness it wasn't
one of those propeller jet skis. I'm okay. With an
outboard motor. jet ski with an outboard. That would be amazing.
That would be awesome. Also, that's the Merced jet ski.
Speaker 5 (51:12):
Yeah. Actually, outboard motor jet ski, I believe, is the
title track on the new Motley Crue album.
Speaker 1 (51:18):
No, I'm kidding.
Speaker 5 (51:19):
But Motley Crue is playing Chula Vista, and they're coming
here this month. They'll be there in just days, September
18th with Tesla and Xtreme. And if you want to
go to the show, you got to call it 730- 837.
Speaker 6 (51:36):
Nice.
Speaker 1 (51:36):
837.
Speaker 5 (51:36):
Call 888-570-1015. Call or 10. You're going to see Crew.
You know what's really cool about being a new dog
owner is you realize that.
Especially with a puppy. So we have a five-month-old dog
that we just got. Big Rich TD and Fletch here.
Little stones to get your morning started. We're going to
have Padres tickets coming up in just about 30 minutes.
(51:57):
So hold your horses. If you want to go see
the Padres against the Yankees, we got you covered. But
we just got a dog over the weekend. And we
haven't had a puppy in our house ever. Annie and I,
when we bought our first dog together, Lady, she was
already a full-grown dog. She was only an eight-pound Italian greyhound,
(52:17):
but she wasn't a puppy.
Speaker 1 (52:19):
She was like a three-year-old when we got her.
Speaker 6 (52:20):
Okay, yeah. So some of the bad habits are already
gone by the time they're three. So you haven't had
a puppy peeing on your floor ever.
Speaker 3 (52:27):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (52:27):
And this dog's housebroken.
Speaker 5 (52:28):
No complaints with, you know, like this dog is so
polite and smart. It's a Belgian Malinois German Shepherd mix.
So it really listens. Like it'll sit down and look
at your face and wait for instructions. It is a
brilliant dog. However, the dog does get the zoomies.
Speaker 1 (52:45):
Every once in a while. And I realized so do I.
Speaker 5 (52:49):
Yeah. And so for years now, I've been annoying Annie
at a certain hour of the evening, and I couldn't
figure out what was happening.
Speaker 1 (52:58):
And then I'm watching this dog. I'm like, oh, my God.
That's me. I'm like, you just got an energy burst,
and you need somebody to, like, pal around with.
Speaker 5 (53:06):
And the dog's like, you too? And so now I've
got my Zoomie buddy. And so Ann thinks it's adorable
now instead of being annoying. She was like, she's like, oh,
you're going to play with the dog in the yard.
Speaker 1 (53:16):
I'm like, yeah, yeah. We just, we just got to
get some stuff going. And then you both get your
bellies rubbed. Yeah. So what time does this happen? Like
eight o'clock at night? It's, uh, last night it was
seven 30. Yeah. It was seven 30. Seven 30. You
just start doing laps around the living room and then
you run out to the front yard.
Speaker 5 (53:34):
Well, so Sebastian was like, my youngest was like, oh,
he was like, can we go play in the yard?
Speaker 1 (53:39):
And I'm like, well, I'm like, it's getting late. We
probably got to get to bed.
Speaker 5 (53:43):
And then all of a sudden the dog like, like got,
you know, it kind of like got down on like
this little crouch dance.
Speaker 1 (53:49):
Like, are we going to play right now? Did somebody
just say yard? Ready to go.
Speaker 5 (53:54):
And so I'm like, I mean, we do got about 30.
Speaker 1 (53:56):
Minutes before we're getting into it. Let's do it. Why not?
Speaker 5 (53:59):
And so at sunset, we are literally raging in the backyard.
And then we came inside. All three of us were
out of breath, drinking out of the bowl. Um, No,
but it's been really fun to have puppy energy in
the house.
Speaker 6 (54:12):
Well, think of how exhausted you are at the end
of the night. You probably fall asleep really quick.
Speaker 1 (54:16):
Oh, I fell asleep hard.
Speaker 5 (54:17):
I mean, it was a miracle I got to work
today because I woke up next to my phone in
the children's room next to the dog.
Speaker 1 (54:24):
My phone was under the dog and at 3% battery. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Speaker 7 (54:28):
Isn't it funny when dogs get the zoomies and their
back kind of turns into like a propeller and they
kind of get scrunched up a little bit but their
back legs are working so hard their front legs can't
catch up with them and so they're just.
Speaker 5 (54:39):
Yeah, and this dog has all that, you know, how
puppies look like they walk around with heavy paws and
so sometimes they just get caught under her and then
she just Ass over appetite.
Speaker 1 (54:47):
She's just tumbling down the road. My dogs have a definite,
definite lap that they do.
Speaker 5 (54:53):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (54:54):
And it is across the couch. And Sarah, my wife,
hates it. I think it's hilarious. The aim for the
nuts are so good. That's crazy. Every time Brock jumps
on the couch, it is square for the right one.
Speaker 3 (55:06):
Yep.
Speaker 1 (55:07):
Yep.
Speaker 5 (55:07):
He just knows it's a squishy platform.
Speaker 1 (55:09):
What a guy. You're going to get a lot of
rebound off of that. And precision, too, in a small area. Mm-hmm.
Speaker 5 (55:14):
Mm-hmm.
Speaker 4 (55:15):
Cat!
Speaker 1 (55:16):
Come on. That was a little rough, Kat. That was
a little harsh. I mean, geez. Save that one for
a Monday. Big paw, small area. Okay, okay. It's targeted.
Not getting better. Yeah, you're still going back to it. Actually,
your dog Brock Fletch is pretty small. He doesn't have
small paws. Good God, Kat. You cut deep. The old
(55:39):
scrotal springboard. I'm going to take a sick day, guys.
I'm not feeling too good.
Speaker 5 (55:44):
1-1-5 KGB. It's Big Rich TDM Fletch. You know, I
was thinking about something that I have only done a
couple of times with my kids over the course of
their lives.
Speaker 1 (55:57):
Do you guys ever go to parades willingly? Oh, God.
My hell, there's a parade every day. Okay. Okay. I'm
telling you. So I don't know what... I just saw.
Speaker 5 (56:08):
Actually, what I think I saw flash across the screen,
the television in the studio was a protest, but it
just reminded me.
Speaker 1 (56:14):
Of a parade. It's a type of parade. Honestly, I
would protest parades. So.
Speaker 5 (56:22):
The kids were young and there was like a Christmas
parade happening in Pacific Beach. And there were fire trucks
and there were people in, you know, classic cars. And
there were candy canes being thrown out to the kids
in the crowd, which you would think, oh, that's really
cute and adorable and really fun for the children.
Speaker 1 (56:39):
But here's the problem. If your kid.
Speaker 5 (56:41):
is within throwing distance of a candy cane and they
can't catch, they get pelted in the face with a
candy cane. If the kid is near a candy cane
that gets thrown on the ground near a different kid
and that kid scoops it up, your kid's now crying.
And so you bring your kid to have some free fun, enjoyment,
be outside for a little bit, and you're in a
(57:01):
crowded space where you can't keep the child you're watching
seated because they want to run and grab all the
candy canes that are being thrown to other people or
they're disinterested.
Speaker 1 (57:11):
Completely in the parade, which I completely get because so
am I, by the way. And by the way, once
you're there, well, one, you got to go early if
you want to have a seat somewhere near the parade.
So you have to bring your chair or blanket or whatever.
Camp out all day. And then... You can't go anywhere
until the thing's done.
Speaker 5 (57:29):
Well, and so the fall kind of reminds me of
parades because I remember every year Thanksgiving would come around
and my parents would turn. The Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade on. Yeah,
we have to turn that on too, and I don't
know why. So we watched it every year growing up.
Every single year before we'd go to grandma's house and
we'd have Thanksgiving dinner, we'd watch the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade.
(57:51):
And I remember saying to my dad one time, I'm like,
oh my gosh, I'm like, that looks so much fun.
I was like, I didn't even realize it. It was like,
I might've been... 11, 10 or 11 years old. And
I said to him, I'm like, we should go. And
he goes, oh, he's smoking a cigarette out.
Speaker 1 (58:06):
The back door. My dad smoked when I was a kid.
He's like, there's no way. And I'm like, wait, why? Why?
That sounds like such a good time.
Speaker 5 (58:15):
He's like spitting a piece of loose tobacco that.
Speaker 1 (58:18):
Got stuck in his mouth. He's like, I like that
he probably was not allowed to smoke in the house.
Speaker 2 (58:23):
No, no.
Speaker 1 (58:24):
Hang out the door.
Speaker 5 (58:25):
He had to hang his hand out the back door,
but the TV was right in his eyeline.
Speaker 1 (58:28):
He takes another drag and he.
Speaker 5 (58:30):
Goes, Butch, you want to be stuck somewhere where there's
no restroom for eight and a half hours? Is that
what you want to do? He was like, parades are miserable.
And I'm like, Dad, I'm like, why do we watch
it every year on television? He's like, it's the best
way to enjoy a parade.
Speaker 6 (58:49):
Also your dad does get it because he smoked out
the door my dad smoked in the house.
Speaker 5 (58:55):
Oh yeah my mom banned it inside the house she
quit before he did and then the funny thing was
we all turned 18 and my mom's like you know
i want to get back into sigs big ridge td
and fledge 1015 kgb so we got a little sabbath
coming up for you and then the cars and.
Speaker 1 (59:13):
Then play or stay with our main man td guns
and roses did a little sabbath last night did they
really they did uh sabbath bloody sabbath and i can't
remember the next one they did They did a tribute
to Oz.
Speaker 5 (59:24):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (59:25):
Yeah. They had a little deal up on the screen. Yeah,
they did. They had like a whole tribute graphic up
on the screen. I like that a lot.
Speaker 5 (59:31):
Yeah. They overlapped a ton when they were both touring
back when, obviously, they were younger rockers. And Ozzy Osbourne
in those circles was considered a complete maniac.
Speaker 1 (59:41):
Oh, yeah. Absolutely. Absolutely. And they also did a Velvet
Revolver song, one of Slash's breakout bands. Here comes the water.
That's the one they did. Here comes the water.
Speaker 6 (59:52):
Actually, when Axl came out in an outfit change, he
came out in an ACDC belt.
Speaker 3 (59:59):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (01:00:00):
It was like a diamond belt buckle. I will say
the outfit change was not necessary. I liked it. I thought.
Speaker 6 (01:00:06):
I thought outfit number two was the best outfit that
he had. It was an unbuttoned flannel that was oversized,
and it was like halfway buttoned down, and then it
had diamonds all over the bottom half of it.
Speaker 1 (01:00:17):
It was bedazzled. It was badass.
Speaker 5 (01:00:19):
I think bedazzled is very in these days.
Speaker 1 (01:00:22):
I liked it. There was also another outfit that was
just a leather vest, no shirt underneath, and leather pants.
It was also open. And all also open. And I
did tell my wife, Sarah, I said, I'm 47, 13 years.
When I hit 60, all leather.
Speaker 5 (01:00:32):
9.30, that is the time to call in for Padres tickets.
So if you're listening to us right now, you're going
to hear players stay from TD where he outlined some
weekend events, including the San Diego Padres taking on the Yankees.
Speaker 1 (01:00:48):
And you could go at 888-570-1015. Caller 10 at 9.30.
The tickets are yours.
Speaker 5 (01:00:55):
There's a lot happening in San Diego this weekend, but TD,
the self-proclaimed homebody king, now has the ultimate decision to make,
play or stay.
Speaker 1 (01:01:04):
Brought to you by Valley View Casino and Hotel. Yes,
we do it every week.
Speaker 5 (01:01:10):
It's Player's Day with our main man, TD, where he
decides what weekend events you should attend while he discerns
whether or not he will attend said weekend events. Now,
many times you have outlined fun, family-friendly, or even individually
interesting events for people to participate in around San Diego County.
Speaker 1 (01:01:32):
Mm-hmm. You have not participated in a single one you've
outlined so far.
Speaker 5 (01:01:36):
Instead, electing to play at Valley View Casino and Hotel.
Speaker 1 (01:01:40):
If I find one better, I will go play at
that instead of staying at Valley View Casino and Hotel.
I mean, it's just pretty simple. Interesting. Pretty easy to do. Now,
I looked and looked and looked. I don't see any
farmer's markets this weekend. There's farmer markets every single weekend.
Easter's high and low.
Speaker 6 (01:01:57):
Every Saturday in Little Italy. Every Sunday in Hillcrest. Tonight,
Thursday night, is the North Park farmer's market.
Speaker 1 (01:02:03):
Friday night, La Mesa. Saturday morning, Sevita. You got tons
of them. I don't see that on the list. I'm
just letting you know. Well, they don't need to list
it because it happens every week. What I do see
is the Julian Grape Stomp Festa, which there's no I
in it. I did double check this. Really? It's not
a fiesta. It's just a festa. It's Saturday at the
Mangini Winery. It says you can work your wine in
(01:02:25):
the centuries-old winemaking tradition in the vein of I Love
Lucy during the 29th annual Julian Grape Stomp Festa where
guests can squish grapes, hang out in the shade. That's
one of the things they put on the list. I'm like, hey,
you guys want to hang out in the shade? You know,
sample testings or buy bottles at a full glass. This happens,
(01:02:48):
starts at 11 o'clock. If you're buying a bottle, is
it the ones that people have stomped themselves? And they
must have stomped it before Saturday because it would have
to ferment. Now, I'm going to say, first of all,
my feet would be all gross and it would gross
me out. You're not into that? Stomp on the grape.
Because there are guys that are into that. Well, I
can't be held liable for what happens to the grapes
(01:03:10):
after they leave my feet. So per the FDA, stay. Okay.
Speaker 5 (01:03:15):
Now, festa is an actual word, and I've never heard
of it myself. It means a festival, a party, a holiday,
or a religious celebration. Its roots come from the Latin
word festum, meaning festival or holiday.
Speaker 4 (01:03:31):
And it has....
Speaker 5 (01:03:33):
Like a direct translation, Italian or Portuguese, where that's a
word that they use in their language. And so I
went back and I looked up Mangini. Is it Mangini Wines?
Speaker 1 (01:03:44):
Yeah. M-E-N-G-H-I-N-I.
Speaker 5 (01:03:47):
It's a family owned vineyard located in Julian, California, and
they make Italian wines.
Speaker 1 (01:03:55):
So interesting. I'll tell you right now. You think I
was lying about the location?
Speaker 5 (01:04:01):
I wanted to do some research and background on this
because the selling point for me was hanging out in
the shade.
Speaker 1 (01:04:06):
That's pretty big.
Speaker 6 (01:04:07):
Well, especially if it's in Julian, then you do want
to hang out in the shade.
Speaker 1 (01:04:11):
Man, I'll tell you what, it gets a little roasty
toasty out there. So if they got some shade, I mean.
Into it. Liz Phair will be playing Sunday at the
Magnolia in El Cajon. Liz is an iconic alt-rock singer, songwriter,
musician whose career of more than two decades has seen
her explore the range of styles from folk-pop to pop-pop
(01:04:33):
and rock. Wait, isn't there a lady named Liz Phair
who works in the Kogo newsroom? I think so, yeah.
I think so. She is Phair. I'm going to say
I will not go to a concert that is... below
the good meter on the concert scale.
Speaker 6 (01:04:50):
I like the Magnolia Theater for one. That's a great venue.
For two, Liz Fair. This is called the Flannel and
the Fury Tour.
Speaker 1 (01:04:57):
The name alone, I want to go. My list, top,
top goes legendary, phenomenal, exceptional, outstanding, excellent, great, good. And
then after that, I don't go because below that is
Liz Fair, Liz poor, Liz awful, Liz unfair. Oh my gosh.
It's going to be a stay.
Speaker 6 (01:05:13):
Ah!
Speaker 1 (01:05:13):
Stay on that. Two laps added in a good way.
Thank you. That's really good, TD. Thank you. Kitten yoga
is going to be happening Saturday at Spring Hill Suites
in Oceanside. Yoga meets kitten chaos in this all-levels class
where adoptable rescue cats roam freely across mats demanding attention
while you are mid-pose. That's really cute. You will need
(01:05:36):
to stay aware of tiny paws underfoot as the kitten's
scamper and snuggle and claim your space as their own.
A portion of the proceeds here supports Furballs Forever Rescue.
I can't go to this, unfortunately. I am allergic. You're
allergic to cats? You have two cats, TD. He's allergic
to yoga. So I'm just going to go to Valley
(01:05:56):
View Casino and Hotel. Just hang out there. Okay, sidebar.
No yoga there.
Speaker 6 (01:06:01):
Do you guys want to hear something kind of weird?
Our new boss that is starting next week I took
him to yoga. Hot yoga, he claims, 10 years ago.
Speaker 5 (01:06:10):
Wait, Ben, our program director?
Speaker 1 (01:06:13):
Yes. You took him to hot yoga and you don't remember? Apparently,
we went to hot yoga together. Wait a second. I
was back in Kat's drinking days. Yeah. How many guys
have you brought to hot yoga? I couldn't tell you
because I thought that he and I did.
Speaker 7 (01:06:26):
By the way, how many dates have you gone on
with our new boss? Is hot yoga code word or something?
Speaker 1 (01:06:30):
No. Okay, if you say so. How many times have
you kissed our new boss? Zero, you freak. By zero,
do you mean like 10, 12?
Speaker 4 (01:06:38):
What?
Speaker 1 (01:06:40):
It's just the tip with Big Rich. Ah, yes, a
little advice.
Speaker 5 (01:06:45):
I like to pass out your way. It's yours for
the taking if you want it. If not, shove it
back this way. No harm, no foul. It's just the
tip with Big Rich. And today's advice is along the
lines of what we were just talking about. If you
want to impress somebody you're trying to get romantic with, Mm-hmm.
Speaker 1 (01:07:04):
Hot yoga. What? Check this out. Now, I know, Kat.
There's no way. There's no way. Now, listen. Thank you, boys.
Speaker 5 (01:07:14):
Kat told us moments ago that 10 years ago, she
took our new program director, Ben, to hot yoga.
Speaker 1 (01:07:21):
And apparently, her words, not mine. Nothing happened.
Speaker 6 (01:07:24):
Well, of course, you guys. He was just a colleague,
a co-worker.
Speaker 1 (01:07:29):
I will say this, though. I have never, ever in
my entire life been.
Speaker 5 (01:07:33):
To hot yoga with somebody I wasn't sleeping with.
Speaker 1 (01:07:36):
You could have stopped that sentence and said, never been
to hot yoga. Yeah, same. Well, no, that's not true.
Rach does go to hot yoga. I do with my wife, Annie.
Speaker 5 (01:07:43):
And the reason why is because on the other side
of that hot yoga, there's two crossed fingers and it's
me staring at this guy going, come on, God, just please.
Speaker 1 (01:07:53):
I was such a good boy. I went to hot yoga.
I just think if, if, I went to hot yoga
with my wife.
Speaker 5 (01:08:00):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (01:08:00):
She would be so turned off. One, I'd be sweaty.
I'd be gross too.
Speaker 3 (01:08:04):
I don't, I'm not Bindi. Well, I would look so dumb.
So dude, nothing, nothing cool about me and hot yoga.
Kind of the same thing happened. So I went to
hot yoga this last time with Annie.
Speaker 5 (01:08:16):
And, uh, she said to me on the car ride,
because we had to pick up our kids shortly afterward
from school. I'm beet red. I showered at the yoga
place and, I'm like, oh, God. I'm like, man, we
chose to do this during a heat wave.
Speaker 1 (01:08:31):
And it was like 92 degrees outside.
Speaker 5 (01:08:34):
The AC is blasting. And I'm just like, man, that
was rough.
Speaker 1 (01:08:39):
She goes, yeah.
Speaker 5 (01:08:39):
She was like, I remember at one point I looked
over at you. And she was like, I was looking
at you. And I was like, yeah, I saw. I
was like, you know what? I was like, you had
such a kind look on your face. I was like, wow,
there it is. I'm like, she really does love me.
She was like, I thought you were crying. He was like,
oh boy, he's getting really emotional in this yoga class.
I'm like, no, I was just in pain.
Speaker 1 (01:09:00):
Hot yoga just seems like so much work it'd be
easier if you got your wife drunk TD. Okay, now.
I mean, just a couple drinks, Kat. Just a couple drinks.
Speaker 6 (01:09:14):
You can also just want to enjoy a workout with
a friend and enjoy physical fitness. I've invited you guys
so many times to go to cycle bar to the
class that I teach and you keep declining.
Speaker 1 (01:09:28):
Okay.
Speaker 5 (01:09:28):
Imagine if the three of us came home and individually
said to our wives, like, oh yeah, work was great, honey.
Speaker 1 (01:09:34):
Stopped at the hot yoga place with Kat afterwards. Just
a quick 90-minute workout. I don't want to invite you guys.
I just want to get real sweaty in a 90-degree
room with her. That's all.
Speaker 6 (01:09:44):
I'm not inviting you guys to hot yoga because you
would sweat all over the place.
Speaker 1 (01:09:47):
That is disgusting to me.
Speaker 5 (01:09:49):
The lady, as I was walking out, she was like, Namaste.
I'm like, what does that mean? She goes, it means
get the mop. I opened a little breakfast diner and
created a ham omelet called the Hamlet.
Speaker 1 (01:10:01):
Do you think that's been done before? It's too good
of a name. Somewhere, for sure. Maybe not in San Diego, though.
You could be the first.
Speaker 5 (01:10:09):
I'm Googling frantically. Please Google it, because I need to
know if I need.
Speaker 1 (01:10:13):
To trademark this. The Hamlet.
Speaker 7 (01:10:16):
Yes, a popular casual outdoor breakfast spot called The Hamlet
operates in Hampton Bay, New York.
Speaker 1 (01:10:23):
Oh, it's in New York? It's in Hampton Bay? Hamlet, Hampton.
Speaker 5 (01:10:29):
Is there a neighborhood in San Diego.
Speaker 1 (01:10:32):
That has ham in the name? Ham-a-shaw. Done. It's happening.
But that's spelled with a J. We're going to have
to call it a jamlet. Big Rich TD and Fletch. Out.
Speaker 6 (01:11:05):
Bye, Mom.
Speaker 1 (01:11:06):
Bye. See you later. I'll pick you up at a
quarter to three. Okay, bye. Who should I tell if
I suspect a peer is on drugs?
