Speaker 1 (00:00):
Well, it started off boring and slow.

Speaker 2 (00:03):
Blah, blah, blah, you gotta believe me.

Speaker 1 (00:06):
That part of the trial sucked.

Speaker 3 (00:08):
If you missed yesterday, a lot was learned.

Speaker 1 (00:10):
You look like the Fourth of July.

Speaker 3 (00:12):
Fletch is moonlighting and cat's taste have turned.

Speaker 4 (00:16):
She nearly 40, so she's going rogue. Blue hair and
nose rings might seem kind of vogue.

Speaker 1 (00:24):
Makes me want a hot dog real bad.

Speaker 5 (00:26):
Rich's passion was pulled off a vine. Did I mention
that cats lost their minds?

Speaker 3 (00:34):
It's time for Big Rich TD Fletch.

Speaker 1 (00:36):
And Cats No need.

Speaker 3 (00:38):
For a suit Unless it has mats It's Thursday morning
And we're ready to go Bring up the lights Turn
up your radio.

Speaker 5 (00:51):
It's the four person Hard to say.

Speaker 1 (00:56):
KGB KGB.

Speaker 6 (00:58):
Wake me when the show starts.

Speaker 1 (01:00):
It's already been on a while. Wake me when it's over.

Speaker 6 (01:06):
Happy Thursday to those who celebrate. It's Big Rich TV
and Fletch, and what a morning we have jam-packed for you.
So one of the more popular giveaways we've done in
a long time, and just less than a week away
now from the Guns N' Roses tickets, or I should
say the Guns N' Roses show, is another day of

(01:29):
two pairs of Guns N' Roses tickets.

Speaker 1 (01:31):
So we are going to have to.

Speaker 6 (01:34):
Be kind to our app listeners today and remember to
give a cue to call.

Speaker 1 (01:40):
Now, per radio guidelines, we don't got to do it.

Speaker 6 (01:44):
You know, we just we holler out a number and
then you call in and that's fair enough. But we
know that many of you want to bring with us
in your pocket wherever you go. Just like that tells
you to download the free iHeartRadio app, we say. But
maybe some of you want to go to the Guns N'
Roses show.

Speaker 1 (02:01):
We get it.

Speaker 6 (02:01):
So we're going to give you guys two cues to
call for those Guns N' Roses tickets over at Snapdragon Stadium.

Speaker 1 (02:08):
And it's going to be a blast. That's going to
be a heck of a show.

Speaker 6 (02:10):
It sounds like Kat's going again, gobbling up tickets on
this show from this building where nobody.

Speaker 1 (02:17):
Else gets to use them. I don't think you heard, Ray.
She may or may not use them herself. TD and
I are going to go together. What? Well, indeed. She
invited me. I don't know if that's going to happen. No, no, no. Oh,
I know this move. I know this move. What do
you mean? I know this move.

Speaker 2 (02:36):
Oh, oh.

Speaker 6 (02:38):
Hey, TV, let's go together. Because secretly I know that
your wife will not let you do that. And I'm
going to be able to bring whoever I want to
bring to the Guns N' Roses show.

Speaker 2 (02:48):
I don't take any of my friends. probably are going
to go to that show with me.

Speaker 1 (02:52):
Oh, that's why I got the invite.

Speaker 2 (02:54):
No, no, no.

Speaker 1 (02:54):
Hang on a second. Hang on a second.

Speaker 6 (02:56):
She said that, but she's got two that she's thinking
about right now.

Speaker 2 (03:01):
If TD says no, I'll invite somebody.

Speaker 1 (03:05):
But no, TD said that he would go with me.
Out of curiosity. If TD says no, I can't make it.
I got COVID.

Speaker 6 (03:14):
And you're like a week out. And you're like, yeah,
but I've had plans for a free... For months. I
got this coupon for... I won't get one. Chipotle, it's
going to expire tonight.

Speaker 1 (03:25):
Gotta use it. So, who would you invite if TD
can't go? I have a bunch of friends that I
invite to concerts.

Speaker 2 (03:31):
I don't have anybody particular in mind that I would
invite to that show if TD didn't go.

Speaker 1 (03:36):
But TD told me he was going to go. Actually,
you said, hey, would you want to go with me?
And I said.

Speaker 7 (03:44):
I don't know if I'd be allowed to. And he said,
your wife would let you. And I went, yeah, maybe.
And then now you've set up going.

Speaker 1 (03:50):
Yeah, we're going. 1-1-5 KGB.

Speaker 6 (03:54):
Yesterday, actually, this might have been going back two days
ago now where the idea... the seed of the idea
began to germinate. But Kat brought it up to us
and said that she would be willing for us to
make a dating profile for her and then put it
out into the wild.

Speaker 7 (04:11):
Now, I would like to say, we have thrown this
out to Kat, this idea out to Kat, and she
has shut it down.

Speaker 1 (04:17):
Hundreds of times. Hard stop. And we haven't asked about
this in... Months?

Speaker 2 (04:23):
Maybe a year or more? No, not a year, but
it has been a while. And yes, you're right, before
I did shut it down. However, I feel like, okay,
I'm ready to reintegrate into society and maybe go on
a date or two.

Speaker 1 (04:35):
And then you thought, man, I got this new car.
I should hand these guys the keys. Yeah.

Speaker 6 (04:42):
What?

Speaker 7 (04:43):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (04:43):
Just saying.

Speaker 2 (04:44):
I just think that for me, swiping is, it's monotonous.

Speaker 1 (04:49):
I hate doing it.

Speaker 2 (04:50):
Okay.

Speaker 1 (04:50):
And it's not exciting. It's lost its luster for me.
I don't do DNS anymore.

Speaker 6 (04:55):
Oh, we cannot wait to swipe on some of these dudes.

Speaker 1 (04:58):
The three of you. All got married. Maybe Fletch, dating
apps were out. Never had the dating apps.

Speaker 2 (05:03):
Yeah, but the three of you were in relationships and
were married by the time the dating apps even were available.
So none of you guys have gone on dating apps.
So you guys will probably find it really fun.

Speaker 1 (05:12):
I was married. Yeah, except we're going to be looking
at dudes.

Speaker 2 (05:16):
Like I said, you guys are going to find it
very fun.

Speaker 4 (05:19):
Hot one.

Speaker 1 (05:22):
And we are going to say, send us whatever pictures
you want. Yeah, yeah. We are cats. Yeah, yeah. Don't
you worry one second about it.

Speaker 6 (05:31):
We will not also have illustration contests based on the
pictures we receive.

Speaker 7 (05:37):
If someone sends us a picture, I would say we're
allowed to send a picture back.

Speaker 4 (05:42):
All right?

Speaker 1 (05:43):
I don't think that.

Speaker 2 (05:45):
You guys are going to make me a bumble, I think.
I don't think that you're allowed to send... Wait, is
that what you said? I don't know the difference between that.

Speaker 1 (05:51):
I don't think you're allowed to send pictures on Bumble.
I thought we were doing grannyzone.com again.

Speaker 6 (05:54):
No, no, no. We signed you up for a senior
citizen dating app because we were looking for.

Speaker 1 (06:00):
a reasonable uh a.

Speaker 7 (06:03):
Price car for you right and i'm gonna tell you
right now if you're on granny's own right grannyzone.com fletch
is the right bait oh that is the right bait
to cast your hook in the water it was crazy
i mean.

Speaker 1 (06:13):
Honestly and he won't mind.

Speaker 6 (06:15):
Just take a picture of fletch and put it on
your profile.

Speaker 1 (06:19):
You guys have been on dating apps.

Speaker 6 (06:21):
Well this is a hard one to describe as a
dating app it's mostly a bunch of naked.

Speaker 7 (06:26):
Grandmas yeah i don't think there was a date involved
yeah no you didn't have to do anything.

Speaker 2 (06:31):
There's not usually a date involved when i go on
dating apps.

Speaker 8 (06:34):
Either oh wow well i'll tell you right now i
look forward to this wait oh so i thought you
said hinge is there a difference between hinge and bumble
um there one of them the lady has to ask
first right.

Speaker 2 (06:45):
The woman does have to you're right fletch The woman
has to message first on Bumble.

Speaker 1 (06:51):
Ooh, I like that better.

Speaker 8 (06:52):
Wait, are we going to get in trouble because we're
technically guys posing as a woman?

Speaker 6 (06:55):
Yes.

Speaker 1 (06:56):
Okay, awesome. I'm in. Wait, wait, wait. You can't get
in trouble for that, can you? I think so. Why?
You guys could get me banned from Bumble. Yeah, but
we have full permission from you. That's a good point. Uh-huh.
That is a good point. And the more I think
about it, legally, this passes mustard. Yeah.

Speaker 7 (07:11):
So I guess I would like some ground rules if
we do this and set this up. Do we get
to set up a date with you not seeing who
we're setting you up with?

Speaker 1 (07:22):
Oh, even better. And then you just show up.

Speaker 2 (07:26):
But he doesn't know that I don't know anything about him?

Speaker 1 (07:30):
Look, Kat's gone 37 years one way. It's time to
try something new. You know what? I like that. I
like that.

Speaker 8 (07:34):
I think they call that a slump buster. Could you
imagine if the three of us... That was almost the
name of the show.

Speaker 1 (07:40):
Could you imagine if the three of us found Kat's husband?
I would never forgive you.

Speaker 6 (07:47):
There's a lot of arranged marriages that happen around the
world every single day.

Speaker 1 (07:51):
And there's billions of people on this planet.

Speaker 6 (07:53):
And many of those arranged marriages are happily wed now.
In fact, we kind of oddly came close to meeting
a girl who works here. A relatively new hire who
it sounded like she was in something comparable to an
arranged marriage.

Speaker 1 (08:09):
It even happens in the United States. So the point is.

Speaker 6 (08:14):
cat sight unseen whoever we pick for you that's your husband.

Speaker 2 (08:18):
But by the time it gets to the point where
you're setting a date at that point would you say
hey you know this is cat's.

Speaker 8 (08:24):
Co-workers i would say i don't know yet i would
say her three male best friends that would be funny
after the third date like after the deal's been done
and then you we tell them that hey we were the.

Speaker 2 (08:36):
Ones chatting yep But I would go into the date
not knowing a thing about him, whatever we talked.

Speaker 1 (08:40):
About on the app already. We'll give you the cliff notes. Okay.
What if we get to go on the date as well?
Like you guys are around? Yeah, we're there.

Speaker 7 (08:49):
No, no, no. We're at a table, okay, away from them. However,
we can see what's happening.

Speaker 1 (08:54):
Let's keep it realistic. You have an earpiece. The three
of you would never show up to a restaurant on
a weeknight. I didn't say weeknight. No, no, no. For this,
I'd be there early.

Speaker 7 (09:03):
Oh, no, no.

Speaker 1 (09:04):
I was thinking that we'd set you guys up. For
like a brunch. You like brunch, right? 10.30 on a Wednesday.
That's what works for us. Oh, that is one of
the qualifiers. This man has to be employed. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.

Speaker 6 (09:16):
Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah.

Speaker 1 (09:16):
I'm really going to narrow things down. He can't be
available for brunch at 10.30 on a Wednesday. Unless he's
a trust fund baby.

Speaker 6 (09:21):
Oh, okay.

Speaker 1 (09:22):
I like that. I did not think of that. He
needs to be employed doing something. Get busy. Okay. Get
busy living. Yeah. Or get busy dying. Well, um. That's what.
Andy always says.

Speaker 6 (09:33):
She's going on a date, and you heard it here.
Today's date, August 27th. Kat said we're allowed to build
her a dating profile, and so we shall.

Speaker 1 (09:43):
Okay, yeah.

Speaker 7 (09:44):
Maybe we should get some items from her that she
would like to be part of her dating profile.

Speaker 1 (09:48):
100% agree. All right. We've got a busy show today.

Speaker 6 (09:51):
We're going to start with that collection, and then we're
going to get into a collection of some nostalgia later on.
We have Guns N' Roses tickets, but before we get
to any of that, we've got to enter that dark, wet, dank,
stinky place we like to call the Fletch Zone where
Fletch talks sports. Ladies and gentlemen, lower your voices. Close
the blinds because he has a secret sign project that

(10:13):
absolutely nobody knows what the hell he's building. Shh. But
he arrives every morning, sleep deprived, suspiciously confident, carrying an
energy of a man who's been wielding something illegal in
his garage since 2 a.m. Is it a business? Is
it a documentary? Is it an underground condiment empire? We
don't know.

Speaker 1 (10:33):
I hope it's a ferret. A ferret?

Speaker 8 (10:36):
Yeah, that'd be cool. I'd like one here in studio.
He was describing it as like a service app. I
doubt it's a ferret. Well, that's what he said. It
was illegal in his garage.

Speaker 1 (10:45):
That's what I thought. Ferret or crocodile?

Speaker 6 (10:47):
We don't know, but the neighbors have questions and the
Home Depot has flagged his account.

Speaker 1 (10:54):
This is The Fletcher!

Speaker 6 (10:56):
Where Fletch talks sports.

Speaker 1 (10:59):
Ask and you shall receive. It's been years of torture.

Speaker 8 (11:03):
It hasn't meant something since 2012, but it's gone now.
It's out of our lives forever. The NFL has gotten rid.
of the Pro Bowl games. They're still going to honor
Pro Bowlers on a yearly basis, so whoever the first batch,
not the backup batch, but the first batch of Pro
Bowlers will get contract incentives. It'll go back to meaning

(11:23):
something for those folks, but they're not going to be
forced to go play a game somewhere, flag football or
a driving competition.

Speaker 6 (11:29):
Well, that part of it, you're wrong. It won't mean
anything more because of the way they vote on it.
Contract incentives.

Speaker 8 (11:36):
But it won't have backups be Pro Bowlers now, like
Shador Sanders was a pro bowler last year.

Speaker 1 (11:40):
He will not be this year. Yeah.

Speaker 6 (11:43):
Now my question is, yeah, that's true because you don't,
you would have to actually go to the game. Now
here's the question still though, when you're named to the
pro bowl, if you give the fans that much of
a say, so I mean, the Pro Bowl is still
kind of a worth-nothing award.

Speaker 1 (12:01):
I do think it's a split.

Speaker 8 (12:03):
I think that coaches get votes, players get votes, and
fans get a vote.

Speaker 7 (12:08):
We should go opposite land and do like the rock-bottom bowl.

Speaker 1 (12:12):
But then you do a twist.

Speaker 7 (12:15):
Maybe fans can go and shoot paintball guns at them.

Speaker 1 (12:20):
While they play.

Speaker 8 (12:21):
That's a good idea, TD. That's really, really solid. In fact,
we should take that up to Goodell.

Speaker 6 (12:25):
One third of the Pro Bowl vote is given to
the fans. Right.

Speaker 1 (12:30):
At least what I'm saying is the backups.

Speaker 8 (12:32):
Like, there was a year where Kyler Murray was a
Pro Bowler, and he was like a... be well below
average quarterback.

Speaker 1 (12:39):
I totally get it.

Speaker 6 (12:39):
You're not going to have like backup quarterbacks anymore in
the pro bowl, but you have one third of the
final vote going to the fans. One third of the
final score voting going to current NFL players. And I
can promise you the way that goes because I've been
in those rooms. is all the veterans hand the Pro
Bowl voting to the rookies. And so you have a
bunch of kids who just signed up for the NFL,

(13:02):
wet behind the ears, filling in, you know, 13 offensive
line ballots on who's going to the Pro Bowl every year.

Speaker 1 (13:08):
The Blow Bowl.

Speaker 2 (13:10):
Huh?

Speaker 1 (13:11):
What are we doing?

Speaker 8 (13:12):
Do you want to laugh this early in the morning, TD?

Speaker 2 (13:15):
Are you asking me to go without punishment? I have
a question. What's the reason that they're changing this?

Speaker 1 (13:19):
Because it sucks. Nobody watches it. So it's just because
low viewership. So to point this out, Nick Hardwick, who
used to work here in 2011, I think he got
voted to a Pro Bowl.

Speaker 6 (13:28):
That was one of the final real Pro Bowls, although
the players still had too much of a vote.

Speaker 8 (13:33):
Right, but he talks about it as if it was
a huge honor. He loved going and representing his division,
his team at the Pro Bowl. And he said it
still meant something at that point within NFL locker rooms.
But after that, it's became almost a touch football game
where guys just didn't want to get hurt.

Speaker 1 (13:46):
So they were basically playing two and touch.

Speaker 8 (13:48):
The NFL saw that happening and said, oh, we'll just
make it a flag football game and we'll add a
skills competition to it.

Speaker 1 (13:53):
Nobody's been watching it. And so it's not getting ratings.

Speaker 8 (13:56):
It used to be the week between the Super Bowl
and the last or the NFC championship game. And now
they're just saying, we don't need it anymore.

Speaker 2 (14:03):
And did they move it this year, this past season?

Speaker 1 (14:05):
It used to be in Hawaii. Well, it did used
to be either Hawaii or Orlando, I think.

Speaker 8 (14:10):
And then they have been moving it around, I think,
to different sites of Super Bowls and whatnot. Or maybe
like the next year's Super Bowl. But it's done now.
It's gone forever. And fans are happy about it.

Speaker 7 (14:19):
Did they change the kickoff back to normal yet?

Speaker 1 (14:22):
No, kickoff is still the same.

Speaker 8 (14:23):
They actually unveiled a few new rules yesterday that I'm
not a huge fan of.

Speaker 1 (14:26):
Maybe we'll do that on tomorrow's Fletch Zone. But we
will stick with the NFL here.

Speaker 8 (14:29):
Second year running back for the New York Giants, Cam
Scadaboo is a fan favorite. He's a lot of fun.
He got injured halfway through the season last year. He
plays an extremely violent brand of football, which I think
people really, really like.

Speaker 1 (14:40):
He runs his head through a wall. He's a lot
of fun to watch. However, one New.

Speaker 8 (14:44):
York Giants insider has reported as of yesterday, he is
becoming a locker room problem because he is playing with
that same violence in practice. And some of the defensive
guys on New York Giants roster are Took exception to it.
There was a huge brawl yesterday in the New York
Giants training camp practice. Cam Scadaboo slid into two defenders
after a play was already blown dead. Everybody started fighting.

(15:07):
And now there is division and turmoil on the team. Rich,
I'll ask you, someone who played in NFL locker rooms.
Violence at practice, unnecessary violence. I guess everything's kind of violent.

Speaker 6 (15:16):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (15:17):
Can that be looked at poorly?

Speaker 6 (15:19):
Well, if you have a guy who's going like, for example,
if you have a drill where the understanding is everybody's
going to operate at a certain speed and then you
have somebody playing hero ball. Who's coming in there, not
unlike Miley Cyrus, like a wrecking ball. You're going to
have problems, you know, because you're setting it up where

(15:39):
somebody is going to be going half speed. You're going
to be going full speed and you're going to get
somebody hurt. And this is professional football. I mean, part
of those two words is professional. You got to act
like a professional. So you have to do business as
business is being done. There have been plenty of fights
over the course of my six-year career where I watch
guys who are going too hard at practice piss off

(16:00):
a grumpy dude, and then all of a sudden, you
have a helmet being torn off somebody's head. That's like,
I don't know, street justice, whatever you want to call it. Yeah,
Cam Scadaboo, he'll learn eventually. All it'll take is him
playing maybe one more season of his brand of football
before his body breaks down enough where he doesn't want

(16:20):
to do that at practice anymore.

Speaker 1 (16:21):
That's kind of his whole thing, though. That's what makes
him fun.

Speaker 8 (16:23):
All right, finally, the Padres got a nice little 3-0
win yesterday over the Pirates.

Speaker 1 (16:28):
It was a must-win game.

Speaker 8 (16:29):
Jackson Farrell Merrill was the hero of the day for
the Padres, powering them to a win. Reason it was important,
the Diamondbacks also won yesterday. So we're in the homestretch.
There's like 28 games left in the season, I think.
Diamondbacks won game back in the Padres. Diamondbacks won yesterday
before the Padres game had finished. It was a 0-0 tie.
Diamondbacks win. All of a sudden, it felt like there
was a little surge in the Padres clubhouse. And the

(16:50):
offense starts to power up a little bit. Jackson Merrill
leads the way to the win. Day off today. Three-game
series in Tampa starting tomorrow. Everything's important right now. You
got to take advantage of three against the Rays on
the road for the Padres.

Speaker 1 (17:01):
Are the Rays good? They are middling. They're not bad.
Fair to middling. But they're not great.

Speaker 6 (17:08):
Every time I think of Jackson Merrill, I always look
him up and see if he's on a current streak
because Merrill's streak and Merrill's streak are so close together.

Speaker 1 (17:19):
I like everything you're saying. I don't know, it just
massages the right part of my brain.

Speaker 8 (17:24):
He really struggled for a couple weeks before yesterday, so
it was good to see him kind of get back.

Speaker 6 (17:28):
Yeah, well, I'll tell you right now, they're going to
need all their bats if they're going to have any
chance of success in the postseason because I'll tell you
who they're going to run into at some point in
the postseason.

Speaker 1 (17:38):
The Dodgers. Yeah, that is true. Because they play in
the National League. So that is going to be an issue.
Do they have any players that are good? Who? The Dodgers?

Speaker 2 (17:45):
Yeah.

Speaker 8 (17:45):
I'm going to have to look at their roster. They
have like nine starting pitchers. That's not even a joke.
They have two starting rotations. They're like trying to figure
out which starting pitcher they're going to put in the bullpen.
And it's like a really, really hard conversation.

Speaker 1 (17:57):
Oh my gosh. One of their starting pitchers isn't even
pitching right now. He just acts. Oh, no. Yeah, Shohei's
back next week. Oh, he's back?

Speaker 8 (18:04):
Uh-huh.

Speaker 1 (18:04):
Ah, cool. Awesome.

Speaker 6 (18:07):
I mean, he could just place bets if they need
him to do something.

Speaker 1 (18:11):
Or his interpreter. His interpreter.

Speaker 6 (18:12):
That's right.

Speaker 1 (18:12):
It's just the tip with Big Rich. Ah, yes, it is.

Speaker 6 (18:18):
A little advice for you. I'm going to pass it
out your way. It's yours for the taking if you
want it. If not, shove it back this way. No harm,
no foul. Today's advice is on pizza toppings, oddly enough.

Speaker 1 (18:33):
I'm making my own or ordering a pizza?

Speaker 6 (18:35):
If you're making your own, I guess you could get
a frozen cheese pizza as a blank canvas as long
as your sauce base is going to be marinara and
your cheese selection is going to be mozzarella anyways.

Speaker 1 (18:48):
You could start to get crazy with the toppings if
you want.

Speaker 6 (18:52):
But if you're going to make a pizza from scratch
or semi-scratch, you know, you buy the pre-done crust or
maybe you buy the pizza dough in the bag at
the supermarket, you bring it home and you give it
hell yourself.

Speaker 1 (19:04):
I do like that.

Speaker 6 (19:05):
I do, too.

Speaker 1 (19:06):
I think it's kind of fun. Yeah, I think it's
fun and it tastes good enough to me.

Speaker 6 (19:10):
All you got to do is you got to go
on Instagram. There are now, I'm not kidding you, there's like.

Speaker 1 (19:15):
Two or three.

Speaker 6 (19:17):
like pizza guys that I follow on Instagram who are
at-home pizza chefs who have blown up very recently.

Speaker 1 (19:24):
There's two of them who live in San Diego. I'm
blanking on their names.

Speaker 2 (19:27):
You follow two or three pizza guys specifically?

Speaker 1 (19:31):
Yeah, who make at-home homemade pizzas. That number's a little light.
I think I'm up to five or six.

Speaker 6 (19:36):
Wow, really?

Speaker 1 (19:37):
Do you guys like fancy pizzas? Oh, yeah. Honestly, I
just like pizza. I don't care.

Speaker 6 (19:43):
You could put almost anything on pizza and you're not
going to bother me with the selection. There's one guy
with the mustache.

Speaker 1 (19:50):
Actually, they both have mustaches.

Speaker 6 (19:52):
Marty.

Speaker 1 (19:52):
Think about it. Yeah, and one does look like Marty. Oh,
that's cool.

Speaker 6 (19:56):
He's got a mustache. He has like kind of a
small galley kitchen. And then the other one I'm thinking
of is a blonde guy who's six foot seven, who's
got a jet black mustache, but dyed blonde, long hair.
And he always wears a backwards hat, kind of folding
the hair behind his ears.

Speaker 1 (20:11):
And he talks about how to make the pizza. And
you said he lives in San Diego? Lives in San Diego.
Can you send him a DM? Interesting. He sounds kind
of cool.

Speaker 7 (20:19):
Okay.

Speaker 1 (20:20):
How edgy. He sounds edgy. He sounds edgy. Sounds like
he might like a septum ring.

Speaker 6 (20:24):
Yeah, which somebody we know has recently been toying with
the idea.

Speaker 1 (20:28):
Even has bought a magnetic septum nose piercing. Try it out. Yeah,
test things out for size.

Speaker 6 (20:33):
So check out these toppings, though. So these are some
of the recent ones that I saw. Grapes, pecorino, romano cheese,
and honey.

Speaker 2 (20:42):
Wow.

Speaker 6 (20:43):
I'm telling you, the guy took a bite out of it.
He's like, this doesn't seem like it'll work. It works.

Speaker 1 (20:49):
I guess I'm not opposed to it. Grapes and what else?
Romano cheese.

Speaker 6 (20:55):
Pecorino Romano cheese and honey drizzled on top. Honey on
pizza is such a flex. It's so good. Big jam,
goat cheese, prosciutto on top. Now, the goat cheese I've
never done. Probably out on that one. Big jam on
pizza is also amazing. You can't do the marinara sauce,
but you get rid of that. You put the big
jam down.

Speaker 1 (21:15):
If you say.

Speaker 7 (21:16):
cheese but put goat in front of it. This one
got me a little bit. This one really got me
a little bit actually.

Speaker 6 (21:23):
Pea puree raw sausage and fennel pollen.

Speaker 7 (21:27):
You make that so you can throw it right back
in somebody's face.

Speaker 6 (21:31):
That's what that's for. How about this? Pickled bananas, peppers,
and sriracha cream.

Speaker 1 (21:38):
Ooh, that does sound interesting. I'll tell you. A pickled banana?

Speaker 6 (21:42):
Yes.

Speaker 1 (21:42):
So it's an even mushier banana? I don't know how
you pickle a banana.

Speaker 2 (21:47):
No.

Speaker 1 (21:48):
No, it's a pickled banana pepper. Oh, I read it
as a pickled banana, pepper. And then sriracha cream. I'm
still out. What? Sriracha's gross. A pickled one? All right,
last one.

Speaker 8 (22:03):
Squid, chorizo, and arugula. Is it fried squid, like calamari?

Speaker 6 (22:07):
Yes.

Speaker 1 (22:08):
I'm in on that.

Speaker 7 (22:09):
Even if it isn't fried, I don't mind squid. Absolutely not.
I still have nightmares to this day. I went to
a wedding when I was a kid, and I thought, oh,
my God, they have so many onion straws. And I
got a pile of them, and they tasted like fish.

Speaker 1 (22:22):
Gross. Oh, you thought the tentacles were onion straws?

Speaker 2 (22:26):
Yep.

Speaker 1 (22:27):
What happened to you when you were a kid? I
don't know. You've never seen Calamari before. That was the
first time for everything.

Speaker 6 (22:32):
It was.

Speaker 1 (22:32):
It was the first time. Yeah.

Speaker 6 (22:35):
Awful.

Speaker 1 (22:37):
Big Rich TD and Fletch, 115 KGB. All right.

Speaker 6 (22:40):
We've reached the seven o'clock hour, which means we are in.
Safe waters to discuss those Guns N' Roses tickets we're
giving away.

Speaker 7 (22:48):
They're within striking distance. You can see them now. You
can see them along the horizon.

Speaker 6 (22:52):
Yep, yep.

Speaker 1 (22:53):
They're out there. They're floating around. You got them in
your reticle and you're just thinking to yourself, just give
me the moment. Give me the time to call. We will.
We will.

Speaker 6 (23:00):
So stay tuned. We're going to tell you exactly when
it's time to call. I sent you guys an Instagram
video of this dude. And this feels like it was
made up. Because I went to this couple's account. Like,
you know how couples, they'll sign up for Instagram together
and then they'll make like cute couple videos or it'll

(23:21):
be like, I don't know.

Speaker 1 (23:23):
Different challenges. Yeah. How well does my husband really know me?

Speaker 6 (23:27):
So this gal is sitting down at the side of
the table in one of the videos where she offers
her husband a strawberry smoothie.

Speaker 1 (23:34):
And he sits down and he drinks it and he's like, oh,
that's good.

Speaker 6 (23:36):
He's like, what'd you put in it? And she's chewing
on something when he sits down at the table. And
she then spits what she's chewing on into her cup.
And what she was chewing on was fresh strawberries and
ice cubes that she was popping into her mouth and
chewing them at the same time and then spitting into
a cup.

Speaker 1 (23:53):
And she was like, that's how I made the smoothie.
He's like, no way.

Speaker 6 (23:56):
And then he's like comparing how they look to each
other and he's retching. So I'm like, there's no way.
Like the camera's set up. He doesn't notice it. This
is all a put on.

Speaker 2 (24:06):
I feel like usually these couple accounts, yes, they know
that they're always filming.

Speaker 6 (24:10):
But I mean, wait, hang on. Think about that, though.
Think about like... Why would that, like, because I sat
there and I watched this for a while. And I
knew it was a setup the whole time.

Speaker 1 (24:23):
But why is that intriguing? Why does that draw you in?

Speaker 2 (24:27):
People like to see other people's reactions. Like, what would
I do in this circumstance? So I want to know
what you would do in that circumstance.

Speaker 6 (24:34):
Man, it is such a study of human psychology because
I'm sitting here the whole time in my brain thinking
to myself, this is dumb.

Speaker 1 (24:42):
What a waste of time for everybody. How many times
did you watch the video?

Speaker 6 (24:46):
I watched it once. I mean, and honestly, I didn't
make it. It was like a two-minute video. I made
it to, I think, which this is embarrassing enough, by
the way. I made it to like 90 seconds in. Wow,
you were almost to the end. I was almost to
the end. And I realized, I'm like... I'm like, we're
doomed as a society. I kind of understand how people
hate posts on other people's Instagram accounts from the standpoint

(25:08):
of like, why go out of your way to waste
your time?

Speaker 1 (25:10):
It's like, because.

Speaker 6 (25:12):
The worst feeling is when you feel like somebody's wasting
your time, and that's what it feels like.

Speaker 1 (25:16):
You need to let them know.

Speaker 4 (25:17):
Yeah.

Speaker 7 (25:18):
How long were you watching the video until you saw
the spit in the cup?

Speaker 6 (25:23):
I was about 25 seconds in.

Speaker 1 (25:26):
That's when you swipe away. Maybe 12.

Speaker 8 (25:28):
Now you understand why Kat and I like the Fast
and Furious movies.

Speaker 6 (25:32):
Okay.

Speaker 1 (25:33):
There's a lot of spitting and cussing. They're fun, dude.

Speaker 6 (25:35):
I also feel like those movies, I feel like Vin
Diesel wasted our.

Speaker 1 (25:39):
Time for a long time. No, they're really good. Every
movie he was in. I'm with Fletch here. I enjoy
that franchise.

Speaker 6 (25:46):
A lot of people do. By the way, this couple
has over a million followers. So there's a lot of
people like Fast and Furious.

Speaker 1 (25:52):
A lot of people who like this couple on Instagram.
I sense a little jealousy, Rich.

Speaker 2 (25:56):
Are you upset that you and your wife don't have
a joint Instagram account?

Speaker 1 (26:01):
That would lead to divorce. It's back. It's back in
a big way.

Speaker 6 (26:05):
You know, speaking of giving away Guns N' Roses tickets
later on this hour, and we will give you a time,
a cue to call in just a little bit here.
Guns N' Roses, I mean, it was a product of
the late 80s, early 90s. Very nostalgic to have them
playing at Snapdragon Stadium. I'm sure at some point during
their rise, they played the Murph or at.

Speaker 1 (26:26):
Very least Pechanga Arena. I mean, there's no doubt, right?

Speaker 6 (26:31):
You know, so Guns N' Roses is one of the
quintessential early 90s bands.

Speaker 1 (26:36):
Well, early 90s stuff, gang. 80s band.

Speaker 7 (26:40):
87 is when Appetite came out, and Appetite for Destruction
changed the world of music.

Speaker 6 (26:45):
So they stopped playing on New Year's Eve on 1989?

Speaker 1 (26:49):
No, I'm just saying. They literally ushered in that music
into the 90s.

Speaker 8 (26:54):
They've played six times in San Diego throughout their career.
This will be number seven. In 92, they played Sports Arena. 92,
they also played Jack Murphy.

Speaker 1 (27:03):
Yeah. 2016 Qualcomm.

Speaker 6 (27:05):
They came back in 92 and they played two different venues. Yeah.

Speaker 8 (27:09):
Two days in the first time at Sports Arena. In 2016,
they played Qualcomm. 2017, they played Valley View Center. In
October 1st this year, they're playing Snapdragon Stadium.

Speaker 9 (27:20):
Wow.

Speaker 1 (27:20):
That's not the date. It's November 2nd. September 2nd. Did
you just have a stroke? I think so. Oh, this
was October 1st, 2023. Excuse me. They played Snapchat. Oh, okay, okay.
The brain's doing great, guys. NFL season's about to start.
I'm getting CTE.

Speaker 6 (27:39):
Oh, no. But the 90s nostalgia stuff is flying off
the shelves. All the kids in middle school are wearing
baggy pants. Yeah, it's back. It's back in a big way.
There's this whole list of things that if you don't
realize or if you still have hidden away in a cabinet,
a closet, an attic somewhere, blow the dust off the

(28:01):
box and take it back out because it might be
a hot item soon. We'll give you the full list
coming up. Also, that cue to call for Guns N'
Roses tickets, it's Big Rich TD and Flex. Yeah, the
90s are back in a huge way. It's really strange,
but everywhere you look, whether it's at stores or on
shelves or on eBay or other secondhand sites, people are

(28:21):
trying to gobble up as many things that are created
or made or popularized during the 90s because it's back
like the old school MTV t-shirts. You see them around
all the time, like those early 90s neon color T-shirts
or tank tops.

Speaker 1 (28:38):
People are wearing them constantly.

Speaker 7 (28:40):
Like Full House or Saved by the Bell.

Speaker 1 (28:43):
They sell that shirt at Target. You know where else
you can get all of those?

Speaker 6 (28:47):
Ross.

Speaker 2 (28:48):
Ross always has all of those t-shirts. For usually $ 5. 99.

Speaker 6 (28:52):
I saw a whole social media video about Mall Madness,
a board game from the very early 90s.

Speaker 1 (29:00):
Might have even been late 80s. You know what? I
really wanted to play that when I was a kid.

Speaker 6 (29:04):
Dream Phone? Do you remember Dream Phone commercials? And that
might have been a Mattel. I forget which toy company
made that. There were a couple. Oh, the Game of Life.
I don't think that came out in the 90s, but
the 90s edition.

Speaker 1 (29:17):
Game of Life. It's like apparently a popular collector's item now.

Speaker 6 (29:23):
Right.

Speaker 1 (29:23):
It's really, really strange. Did you realize that slap bracelets
didn't come out until the 90s? Oh, really? Oh, I
loved those. Oh, man. No, I did not realize that.
That was after 1990 thing? Yeah.

Speaker 6 (29:35):
Kids still today love snap bracelets. My children get them too.
from them all the time at school.

Speaker 2 (29:42):
You know the one that I really loved in the
90s was Thai Beanie Babies.

Speaker 1 (29:46):
Remember those? Oh, the T-Y Beanie Babies. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Oh, yeah.

Speaker 2 (29:49):
And sometimes they did like a collaboration with McDonald's and
you would get like a mini one with your Happy Meal.

Speaker 1 (29:55):
People thought they were going to retire with their Beanie
Baby collection. Yes, you would even buy.

Speaker 2 (30:00):
Little, like, plastic covers to go around your tie tag.

Speaker 6 (30:02):
Oh, yeah.

Speaker 1 (30:03):
So that it wouldn't get bent. Some of them, like,
came with them.

Speaker 8 (30:06):
My wife's grandma has a massive collection of Beanie Babies.

Speaker 1 (30:10):
No way.

Speaker 8 (30:10):
And she passed away last year. And so they're still
going through them to see how much money they're all worth.
But it's a huge collection. Are they worth anything?

Speaker 6 (30:16):
Yes.

Speaker 1 (30:17):
Wow really an entire.

Speaker 6 (30:19):
Room they would be eventually a lot of people were
like oh they made too many of them of course
they were an entire room of beanie babies that is
just now in boxes but yes they are worth something
that's so fun doc martin's cat oh yeah.

Speaker 1 (30:31):
Those are back like people are wearing those big time.

Speaker 6 (30:33):
Um uh windbreakers it's coming back in a huge way.

Speaker 2 (30:37):
I don't know if windbreakers ever left it's always it's
always windy physical media is coming back People, DVD collections,
VHS collections, and now there's a battle for supremacy between
Xbox and PlayStation because PlayStation's going away from physical media
and Xbox is now launching this whole campaign of physical
discs again.

Speaker 1 (30:56):
I'm all about that. I'm all about it. I do
not like the digital thing. You don't own it. But
are you going to switch from PlayStation to Xbox? Well,
I already have Xbox. My son that has PlayStation. Oh,
you know what's cool? You know what I'm hoping for?

Speaker 6 (31:09):
I'm like, I mean, some of these are still around,
like the Lunchables, but give me 3D Doritos back. Give
me a bag of Gushers any day. That's the premier
fruit snack. Give me a Dunkaroo. Let's go. Ooh, a Squeeze-It?

Speaker 1 (31:28):
Let's rock and roll. How about a Push Pop? How
about Guns N' Roses tickets?

Speaker 6 (31:34):
We've got Guns N' Roses tickets available for you to
win at 735.

Speaker 1 (31:40):
Do not call this number before then.

Speaker 2 (31:41):
888-570-1015.

Speaker 6 (31:41):
But at 735 AM, call or 10. You're going to GNR. 5KGB.

Speaker 1 (31:50):
Trending with TD.

Speaker 7 (31:51):
Well, this just in just rocked my world. We're talking
about nostalgia. This is, I guess, 80s nostalgia is where
this would come into play. But the original voice of
Optimus Prime. From the Transformers, Peter Cullen. Passed away at
the age of 85. No way. I was just talking
about him just literally a week.

Speaker 1 (32:09):
Or two ago saying, I want to get Peter Cullen
on the show. Yeah. And now I can't. That stinks.

Speaker 6 (32:16):
I wonder what others... So you know how like a
lot of voice actors... They voice other things, too. So
I'm curious. Outside of Optimus Prime, what did Peter Cullen
also voice?

Speaker 1 (32:27):
I don't know, to be quite honest. What else do
you need to? It's one of the most iconic animated voices. Oh,
my gosh.

Speaker 7 (32:33):
He was Eeyore in Winnie the Pooh. He was Monterey
Jack in Chippendale's Rescue Rangers.

Speaker 1 (32:41):
Oh, my God. Oh, my God.

Speaker 6 (32:42):
He did the vocal effects for the title creature in
the movie Predator.

Speaker 1 (32:46):
That's crazy. Oh, my gosh. And he, yeah, I mean,
come on. Voice over actor.

Speaker 7 (32:51):
The story of how he came up with the Optimus
Prime voice and his cadence and the way he spoke
was actually pretty cool. He talks about his brother who
was in the military. And he was saying he was
going to go do this voice acting audition. And it
was supposed to be for this big, giant robot. And
he's supposed to be the leader. And he thought he
was going to be aggressive and mean. And his brother said, no, man,

(33:15):
you got to be cool. You got to be calm.
You got to be the hero. and talked to him
about being in the military. And that's how he came up.

Speaker 1 (33:22):
With all this crime.

Speaker 6 (33:24):
He also voiced several of the gremlins in the 1984
movie Gremlins.

Speaker 1 (33:28):
This guy did it all. Holy cow.

Speaker 6 (33:31):
And if you really miss him, TD, there's an animated
series called Invincible that... I guess, has run from 2023
through this.

Speaker 1 (33:39):
Year called Thaddeus or Thaddeus. I don't know this one.

Speaker 6 (33:44):
Yeah, I don't know it either, but he voices one
of the characters in that show.

Speaker 1 (33:48):
I'll have to tune in. Pour one out for Peter Cullen. Yeah,
that's right. Pour one out for Indeed.

Speaker 7 (33:53):
And if you pour one out tonight, it's going to
be a lunar eclipse, a near total lunar eclipse visible
across San Diego County tonight.

Speaker 1 (34:00):
It starts just after 7.33 p.m. where it's.

Speaker 7 (34:04):
It's almost dark, right? The peak time to look at
it will be 9-12 tonight. 96% of the moon will
fall in the Earth's shadow.

Speaker 1 (34:12):
So it'll be reddish orange. The thing's supposed to wrap
up and end at 10-51. I'm really excited about this.
We're not in bed at 9 o'clock tonight? Yeah, then
Santa won't come. Oh my gosh. I'm not going to be.
I'm going to be at a concert tonight.

Speaker 2 (34:23):
And I'm going to that concert with a friend that
we always swap moon photos with.

Speaker 1 (34:28):
So we're going to be looking at this eclipse together.
You have way too much time on your hands. And
way too many friends, to be honest. What on earth?

Speaker 2 (34:36):
You guys don't see a moon and you're like, oh,
it's a beautiful moon tonight.

Speaker 1 (34:39):
I'm going to send a picture to my moon friend.
I haven't seen the moon in 10 years. I sent
you guys a picture of the moon. I know, and
I look at it and go, gosh, it's just....

Speaker 6 (34:50):
She accidentally sent us a picture of the moon. I
didn't think I was serious.

Speaker 1 (34:53):
You need to be a little bit more whimsical, Rich.
I have whimsy. Just look at me. I'm like a
cartoon character myself. I'm pretty sure Peter Cullen's voicing me
right now.

Speaker 7 (35:06):
Can you imagine that Rich, myself, and Fletch, we get
together and we're like, hey.

Speaker 1 (35:10):
What's going on, guys?

Speaker 6 (35:11):
Ah, nothing. Hey.

Speaker 1 (35:13):
Want to see this moon pic? And then Rich goes, yeah,
I'll send you mine. And then we.

Speaker 8 (35:18):
Swap moon pics. It's going to be pictures of our butts. Yeah,
there you go.

Speaker 1 (35:22):
All right, now see that I can get into.

Speaker 2 (35:24):
Now you guys need to start doing some better things
in your life.

Speaker 1 (35:28):
And swapping moon pics is the way we should go?

Speaker 2 (35:31):
You see a pretty sunset, you send a picture to
your friend and.

Speaker 1 (35:34):
Enjoy the sunset. We've sent you pictures of sunsets before. Yeah,
this is a comparable thing. The moon. When the moon
is pretty, you send a picture.

Speaker 7 (35:42):
Have you guys noticed, though, if you take a picture
of the moon, no matter what you do, it's teeny tiny.

Speaker 1 (35:46):
Yeah, it's an awful teeny, teeny, tiny.

Speaker 8 (35:48):
It could be the most beautiful moon you've ever seen
in your life. You take a picture of it, nothing.

Speaker 1 (35:51):
Yeah, it looks like somebody's holding a mini mag light
down at the end of the street.

Speaker 6 (35:54):
Did you know that Native American tribes, many of them
believe that the moon's, the lunar eclipse was actually a
wounded or sick moon?

Speaker 1 (36:03):
Oh, whoa. We better bring it back to health. Also,
at Denny's, moons over my hammy. 10 out of 10.
I do like those. 10 out of 10. Yeah. Speaking
of 10. All right.

Speaker 6 (36:13):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (36:13):
We got to give away these tickets.

Speaker 2 (36:16):
888-570-1015.

Speaker 1 (36:16):
You already got the cue to call. It was 735 AM.

Speaker 6 (36:19):
Well, we're about 20 seconds past that right now. 888-570-1015.

Speaker 1 (36:24):
Caller 10 wins them.

Speaker 6 (36:25):
Hey, congratulations to our first Guns N' Roses ticket winner.
We're going to have another batch of tickets coming up
in the 8 o'clock hour. Steven and Chula, what up?

Speaker 1 (36:36):
Steve. He did it. He did it.

Speaker 6 (36:41):
He got a pair of tickets to Guns N' Roses
at Snapdragon Stadium, just like Kat.

Speaker 1 (36:45):
Now, we have to divulge what happened. I don't have
a pair yet. Hang on. So, our promotions director, Jeff,
he walks through the door yesterday. He goes... Hey, you know,
he's doing finger guns at us. And we're like, good morning, Jeff.
What's going on, dude? He was at business talk, business talk,
business talk.

Speaker 6 (37:02):
Yeah. And then he gets to the goods. He was like,
who wants to go to the show? Because in radio,
this happens. Look, they want you to go to concerts.
So you talk about concerts. That's the reason why we
give away free tickets. It's what makes the world goes round.
You know, palms get.

Speaker 1 (37:14):
In Greece, whatnot. So Kat goes, so Jeff, Guns N' Roses, right?

Speaker 6 (37:21):
I would like to go. And Travis actually has mentioned
that he has interest, too. How many tickets do we
have left? And he goes, we have literally one pair left.
I'm so glad you asked. I got a pair for you, too.
So Kat goes, great. Jeff leaves. Kat goes, Travis, you're
coming to the show with me. Well, she said, hey,
would you like to go with me?

Speaker 1 (37:39):
And I said, no. I don't know how my wife
would feel about us going on a date. That's not
a date.

Speaker 2 (37:46):
That's going on to a show, which is a work
event for us.

Speaker 1 (37:49):
And it's fun. Well, you know what would occur to be.

Speaker 6 (37:52):
This happened, I think, two days ago now that I'm
remembering it. But it took me 48 hours to really
marinate on it. She knew that your answer was going
to be no. And that means she gets two tickets
to Guns N' Roses.

Speaker 1 (38:06):
That's not true.

Speaker 2 (38:06):
I don't think that I have a friend that will
even go to that show with me, probably.

Speaker 1 (38:10):
Wait, that's not a Coldplay concert. You guys can't go together. Oh,
my gosh. Oh, that's true. That is true.

Speaker 2 (38:17):
What is so wrong with us going to a Guns N'
Roses concert that you want to go to, I want
to go to?

Speaker 1 (38:24):
I don't know if there's anything wrong with it. Yeah,
why are you guys making it weird? It's not weird.
I'm not saying it's weird.

Speaker 7 (38:30):
I'm just saying that once you're married, if I'm like, hey,
I'm going to go to a concert with my coworker
lady friend.

Speaker 1 (38:40):
I'm not just a co-worker, though, you guys. I know
that's true. We're co-hosts. I know. We do stuff together.
It's not weird. We take trips to the water cooler.

Speaker 6 (38:52):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (38:52):
We do bathroom laughs sometimes. We share moon pics.

Speaker 6 (38:56):
Every once in a while, if you see a cool
nighttime moon and you say, man, that would make a weird,
fuzzy picture, I'm just going to send it to my co-hosts.

Speaker 1 (39:05):
We do stuff like that.

Speaker 2 (39:06):
Sometimes i do send you guys a picture if the
sunset is really beautiful i want you guys to experience
the cool things in life with me isn't that what
life is about.

Speaker 6 (39:15):
Like guns and roses that she'll be attending with her
uncle john so bumble is a tricky site um the
three of us together myself td and fletch have not
been able to really even access the webpage. It feels
like not only do you have to be a woman
to lob the first stone in the conversation with a potential.

Speaker 1 (39:36):
Mate, but also you have to be a lady to
maybe even sign up.

Speaker 7 (39:40):
So literally I'm going to bumble.com and it just, It's
like a dead page.

Speaker 1 (39:45):
It becomes a question mark.

Speaker 2 (39:46):
Oh, I don't know if you can use it on
an actual physical computer.

Speaker 1 (39:50):
Oh, you can't? I don't know if you.

Speaker 2 (39:51):
Can or can't, but it is an app that you
guys are going to have to download on your phone.
So before you download the Bumble Gaming app on your phone,
make sure that you.

Speaker 1 (40:01):
Lend your wives that you're creating me a profile. We're
just going to need your phone. Okay, so there's a
couple things here. I will not give you guys my phone.

Speaker 8 (40:08):
One of the three men in the room who are
all married and all have rings on our fingers have
to download a dating app.

Speaker 1 (40:12):
And B. Yeah, we're going to need a burner phone.

Speaker 8 (40:14):
One of the three men in this room who are
all happily married need to have copious amounts of pictures
of cat on our phone.

Speaker 1 (40:21):
Are you guys going to all download? Wait, don't we
all have those?

Speaker 8 (40:23):
Because I send them to you guys. They stay in
the message. I don't save any of them. I'm not
a weirdo.

Speaker 1 (40:28):
Oh, yeah.

Speaker 6 (40:28):
No, that's true.

Speaker 1 (40:29):
Yeah, that's insane. Why would you do that? Why do
you guys send pictures of me? It's like moonshots. You
get it. With friends.

Speaker 4 (40:36):
What?

Speaker 1 (40:38):
That's what they do. So they're in the group text, Kat. Yeah, yeah.
Don't pretend like it's not a shot.

Speaker 6 (40:43):
Every time you've posted a thirst trap since we met you, basically,
TD has screenshotted it and sent it to our text
thread going, Kat?

Speaker 1 (40:51):
Yeah, but I mostly ignore our group chat. Yeah. Thanks.
Thank you for that as well. That one stings a little.

Speaker 7 (40:57):
But I do that because you say you are not
posting thirst traps.

Speaker 1 (41:01):
And you clearly are.

Speaker 6 (41:03):
And then you post these pictures of you like in
the mirror with a lurid stare wearing next to nothing.
And you're just like, and it'll be like something like,
just walking around. I don't know.

Speaker 1 (41:13):
That's not a picture I've ever posted. Going for a
nighttime jog. Yeah. Camera up in the air, angle down.

Speaker 6 (41:19):
Yeah, yeah, yeah.

Speaker 1 (41:20):
That's something I've never posted.

Speaker 6 (41:21):
Oh.

Speaker 1 (41:22):
What are we talking about? I literally, I mean, I don't.
That's crazy. That's crazy.

Speaker 8 (41:28):
So what's going on in the Bumble bio? Because we're
trying to attract a husband. So let's explain this.

Speaker 6 (41:33):
Kat gave us permission to launch a Bumble account for
her where we can build her dating profile.

Speaker 1 (41:40):
Is that the best dating profile to be on? I
feel like it's a good one. Or app or whatever.

Speaker 2 (41:45):
That's probably the most mass appeal. I feel like that's
the one that the majority of people are on.

Speaker 1 (41:49):
You hear everybody talk about Tinder, though. Maybe we got
to get.

Speaker 8 (41:52):
Tinder's a little more dirty. I think Hinge is the
place that I've heard the most about.

Speaker 2 (41:56):
I actually think that all of them attract all sorts
of people now. So, like, you could find somebody who
wants to get married on Tinder.

Speaker 1 (42:02):
What about Farmers Only? I don't know about that one.
What about J-Date? It's got a nice jingle. What'd you say? J-Date.
What is J-Date? That's for Jewish people. I'm not Jewish.

Speaker 2 (42:10):
Oh.

Speaker 1 (42:11):
You can convert. I don't think I'm allowed. And I'm
not looking to convert, you guys. I'm a Christian. All right, well,
it's something to consider. Just a new dating pool. Black
people meet. I don't think that I'm allowed on those sites.
I'm not a part of the community. You identify as...

(42:32):
I'm just asking. I don't think that I could. I'm
going to type that into Google.

Speaker 7 (42:38):
Ask the question because then that might determine where we
go from here. You know, it does say Tinder is
number one and then Bumble is number two.

Speaker 1 (42:46):
Of the most people? Of the most downloaded app, dating app.

Speaker 8 (42:52):
I know, like, two very successful relationships to come from
dating apps.

Speaker 1 (42:55):
They both came from Hinge.

Speaker 7 (42:56):
And it will say that Hinge is the one surging.
It's up 25.5% while Bumble's down 20%.

Speaker 1 (43:02):
Oh. People are leaving.

Speaker 6 (43:05):
Searching what keywords to use in a dating profile for Kat,
who's 38. Blonde.

Speaker 1 (43:15):
Gainfully employed, single, ready to mingle. I thought she was 37.
I just turned 38. She told us yesterday she was 38.

Speaker 6 (43:23):
I thought she was 36 until yesterday, so somehow I
lost two years.

Speaker 1 (43:26):
How did you guys never know how old I am?

Speaker 7 (43:28):
In the open for the show, the lyrics in our
little song said she's pushing 40, and she was.

Speaker 1 (43:35):
astonished by this. How would you come up with this number?
Two years is a long ways away from 40. Well, okay,
but I.

Speaker 6 (43:44):
Guess that means that's why you react. So yeah, 36
to you sounds really young then?

Speaker 2 (43:50):
No, it doesn't sound really young, but it just isn't
my age and neither is 40.

Speaker 1 (43:56):
I'm 38 freshly. Newly 38. She's a new 38. Yeah.

Speaker 7 (44:01):
Have we switched to the Hinge dating app instead of Bumble?

Speaker 1 (44:06):
Is that confirmed? I think that you guys.

Speaker 2 (44:07):
Are going to like Bumble because you actually swipe versus Hinge.
You have to hit a heart to like somebody. I
feel like we're going about this all wrong. We should
be going to like a sugar daddy website.

Speaker 1 (44:16):
Come on. That does make sense.

Speaker 8 (44:18):
We're going to find you a rich guy cat and
the rich guy is going to take us on his
private planes.

Speaker 2 (44:22):
Don't want to be embarrassed being seen on some sort
of site. Like I personally don't want to be seen
on Tinder and a sugar daddy site. I also would
not want to be seen because you guys are using
my photo.

Speaker 6 (44:32):
High performing keywords. And these are different categories. In the
personality traits, using the keywords ambitious, perceptive, thoughtful, creative, apparently
they can increase interaction by as much as 48%. In
relationship intent, the words, just using these words, love, relationship, family, friends.

(44:54):
That boosts your yields. Lifestyle and hobbies section. If you
mention the gym, music, if you mention the word foodie
or spontaneous, those are going to cast a wider net
for you.

Speaker 1 (45:06):
I feel like those are all things that I am.

Speaker 7 (45:08):
I feel like if I saw the word foodie, I'd go, nope.

Speaker 1 (45:12):
Are we going to be honest about how often she
is mean to you? Oh, yeah. Do you mean to
all of us? Yeah, I think guys like that. No,
we lie about that. No, no, no, no, no, no.

Speaker 8 (45:22):
We're not going to say she calls you fat all
the time. We're not going to say that.

Speaker 1 (45:25):
I don't do that, though. Subtly.

Speaker 2 (45:27):
I've never called you guys the F word.

Speaker 1 (45:31):
You've called us a variety of F words. That's not true.
You know what? I have called you guys freaks. That
wasn't even one of them I was thinking of.

Speaker 6 (45:41):
Most of the F-words we were thinking of are banned
by the FCC.

Speaker 1 (45:44):
You cannot say them at all. I like how when
you go to.

Speaker 6 (45:46):
Petco Park, they play Blink-182 around the eighth inning.

Speaker 1 (45:51):
I mean, look, Blink, it gets people excited. What's that thing,
2022 season? 2024. 2024. Yeah. When it was raining.

Speaker 7 (46:02):
And they played the song and the crowd just started
singing along.

Speaker 1 (46:06):
Now it's a San Diego thing. Tom's Along was there. Oh,
that's right. And he was like running up and down
the stands. It was awesome. That's cool. I don't think
he was running up and down the stairs. He was singing.

Speaker 8 (46:16):
He was running up and down the stairs and like
high-fiving people and going crazy.

Speaker 1 (46:20):
That's badass. He wasn't performing. They played it and he
was there. No, no, I know. I'm pretty sure he
just sat or he stood and he waved to the crowd.
I don't think he was. Oh, he was throwing some high-fives, dude.
I thought he had a t-shirt cannon. And then he
sold hot dogs.

Speaker 6 (46:32):
You guys remember when Tom DeLonge had speakers and he
was playing his own song at the Padres game?

Speaker 8 (46:38):
You're making it a thing that it wasn't. He was
running around his section throwing high fives. I remember it vividly.

Speaker 1 (46:42):
I would like to focus on a different thing that
you said, Fletch. I'm going to find the video. Fletch,
you are the fountain of misinformation. The fact that it
was raining? Remember that? I do remember that. Do you
remember rain in general? Are you missing the rain? We
need it. Yes, it's been way too hot.

Speaker 2 (46:58):
I'm boiling in my apartment, and I have an AC unit.

Speaker 1 (47:02):
Not really, though.

Speaker 2 (47:03):
I've been having to sleep on my couch in front
of my AC unit, just still sweating.

Speaker 1 (47:08):
It's so hot.

Speaker 7 (47:09):
So you've got one of these boxes that just moves
around your house.

Speaker 1 (47:13):
Uh-huh, yeah. You need to get like AC, like real AC.
You can't just.

Speaker 2 (47:18):
install that into a central air?

Speaker 7 (47:20):
Isn't there a mini split system or whatever they call it?

Speaker 1 (47:23):
I don't think so. You can come sit on our
couch in the middle of the day if you want.
That'd be good. We got an AC pumping in La Mesa.
Don't you have a house guest right now, Floyd?

Speaker 6 (47:30):
Yeah, we do.

Speaker 7 (47:31):
If your Costco card works, you can head over there
and stand in the egg section.

Speaker 2 (47:36):
Like we have said, I don't know if my Costco
card works anymore because the friend who put me on
their Costco card unfriended me.

Speaker 8 (47:44):
There we go.

Speaker 7 (47:45):
So on the Bumble Hinge account, we should put Looking
for a man with one open spot on their Costco membership.

Speaker 1 (47:52):
Here's the thing, though.

Speaker 2 (47:53):
I never even cared to go to Costco in the past.

Speaker 1 (47:56):
I think it's you plus one. Yeah, it's only two
people allowed.

Speaker 6 (47:59):
On a membership.

Speaker 8 (48:01):
You have to find a very special someone. Unless it's
a business account. So what you could do is open
up an LLC or maybe TD can do this.

Speaker 1 (48:07):
I have a business account. Oh, you do? I don't
think I can have more than one person. I think
you can. It's $ 65. Kat could go get a membership.
Here's the thing, too.

Speaker 2 (48:19):
I've never cared to go to Costco in the past.

Speaker 1 (48:22):
And now you do? I don't need 100 rolls of
toilet paper. However, I did just order your supply of
toilet paper, the unbleached kind. You bought a year's supply.
It did.

Speaker 2 (48:32):
It's like a non-toxic, clean toilet paper.

Speaker 1 (48:35):
It's made of bamboo. Don't put any of that in
that profile. It's not bleached, no chemicals, no dyes.

Speaker 8 (48:39):
What does Dwight Schrute have to say about modern toilet paper?

Speaker 1 (48:43):
Don't even get me.

Speaker 8 (48:43):
Started on how coddled the modern.

Speaker 1 (48:46):
Yes, yes, yes, yes.

Speaker 7 (48:48):
I'm just curious, how many rolls of toilet paper is
a year's supply for you, Kat?

Speaker 1 (48:52):
I don't know.

Speaker 2 (48:53):
I think it was like 78 rolls or something like that.

Speaker 1 (48:56):
That's a year's supply? I have no idea. It's whatever
the account said. It seems low. That's all I'm going
to say. Well, I'm not at home all the time
and I'm only a family of one. Oh, so you...
My cat's portion. Nala don't use toilet paper. You're using
toilet paper at work is what you're saying.

Speaker 2 (49:12):
Well, yeah, I'm at work during the day. So, yes,
I do use the toilet paper here.

Speaker 7 (49:15):
Divided by 78. That means you're going through one roll...
nearly every five days.

Speaker 6 (49:21):
Wow.

Speaker 1 (49:21):
4.67 days.

Speaker 2 (49:23):
Maybe.

Speaker 6 (49:24):
Maybe.

Speaker 1 (49:24):
Yeah, that might seem right.

Speaker 6 (49:26):
I would start questioning your cats about what they're doing
with the toilet paper when you leave.

Speaker 1 (49:31):
Do you think one roll every five days is a lot?
That doesn't seem like much to me. A lot of trees.

Speaker 6 (49:36):
All right, listen, we got Trending with TD on the
other side, and then we're going to give you a
cue to call for those Guns N' Roses tickets.

Speaker 1 (49:46):
How about this?

Speaker 6 (49:46):
Let's do it at 837. Call in for Guns N' Roses, 888-570-1015.
101.5 KGB.

Speaker 1 (49:55):
Trending with TD.

Speaker 7 (49:57):
Well, the WNBA just set a record on Amazon Prime.

Speaker 1 (50:01):
Prime Video, that is.

Speaker 7 (50:02):
The latest broadcaster to set a record during an Indiana
Fever game.

Speaker 1 (50:06):
Thanks to Caitlin Clark, I would suppose.

Speaker 7 (50:08):
During the Fever Dallas Wings game that happened yesterday, they got...
1.07 million viewers. Now, 1.07 million viewers beats the NBA's
average viewership per game on Amazon Prime, which is about
a million viewers per game.

Speaker 2 (50:28):
Wow.

Speaker 1 (50:29):
See, everyone watches women's sports. The WNBA is getting so
much publicity right now.

Speaker 6 (50:34):
Yeah.

Speaker 8 (50:35):
It is on every news station every single day. There's
a lot going on if you haven't seen it with
some former NBA players who are trying to qualify for
the WNBA. So I think that that's leading to some
of these numbers bumping up. This is where I question this.

Speaker 7 (50:47):
So now this is also the very first year that
Nielsen has rated games or rated anything on Amazon Prime.
When I opened up Amazon Prime yesterday, the game was on.
It automatically came on. It was already playing. Then I
had the choice. I could choose something else I'd like
to watch, but the game was playing.

Speaker 1 (51:09):
At the top.

Speaker 2 (51:10):
Are you saying, TD, that they're boosting numbers by feeding
it to you without you selecting it?

Speaker 1 (51:14):
I'm just questioning it.

Speaker 8 (51:16):
Does that count as someone in Nielsen's ratings? That's what
I'm saying. I mean, it does that with the NFL, too,
to be fair. Like on Thursday night, you open up
Amazon Prime. It's already playing. Which is why it popped
into my head. I thought, wait a minute, hold on.

Speaker 7 (51:28):
When I open up Amazon Prime, because it's giving you
the sampler, you know, there's a box which takes up
the majority of the screen and there's a game playing.
Am I watching the game at that time? That's my question.

Speaker 6 (51:40):
Yeah, see, I think so. I think they could. I mean,
if Nielsen wanted to, like, if you think about.

Speaker 1 (51:48):
All right.

Speaker 6 (51:48):
So they know that you're a streaming subscriber. They know
that you logged onto the app. They know that you
watched it because it popped up on your home screen.

Speaker 1 (51:56):
So that counts as a view. I don't know.

Speaker 2 (51:57):
Does it have to stay on your screen for a
certain like 30 seconds.

Speaker 1 (52:00):
To count as a watch?

Speaker 6 (52:01):
I'm sure they have some sort of independent like, you know,
but I mean, like you could you could credit that
as at least a view. You know what I mean?
Like because on YouTube, as a matter of fact, they're
changing views. what they count as a view it used
to be even on like long format videos it had
to be a certain threshold of time that you had
to watch before a view was counted now.

Speaker 8 (52:22):
It's you click the you click the little play triangle
and that's a view right it's a view oh interesting
view is a.

Speaker 6 (52:27):
View is a view so it might be the same
thing with nielsen i don't know.

Speaker 7 (52:30):
Yeah i don't know i don't know either but i
i know that i was on it was on for
probably a couple minutes as i was trying to decide
what i was going to watch yeah so it was
just they're playing but i don't know who knows Dolly
Parton lovers are coming out in droves out in Nashville
because they want.

Speaker 1 (52:46):
To rename the airport.

Speaker 7 (52:47):
Apparently, there was a petition that came out last year,
but after she passed away, all of a sudden, that
petition got about 100,000 new signatures so they can rename
the airport Dolly Parton International Airport.

Speaker 1 (53:01):
Oh, that would be really cool, actually.

Speaker 7 (53:02):
It would be cool, but let's say I wanted to
go to Nashville, right? And I just Googled DP International.

Speaker 1 (53:12):
I'm just saying. No, he's right. I'm just saying. I
don't know if the airport would come up.

Speaker 6 (53:17):
I would say do not click view on that one.
That's right. You don't want to look for tickets at work.

Speaker 1 (53:22):
No. Okay.

Speaker 6 (53:24):
That would not be you. That website would get blocked.
It's currently called the Nashville International Airport, so the NIA.

Speaker 1 (53:31):
Right. Okay. DPI. DPI. All right. Dr. Pepper International. Yeah,
that's what I meant. 888-570-1015. That is the number to dial.

Speaker 6 (53:43):
We said 837 for these Guns N' Roses tickets, and
we're going to keep our promise. The lines are open,
and they are lit up, but you could still sneak
in under the wire here.

Speaker 2 (53:53):
888-570-1015.

Speaker 6 (53:53):
If you want to go to Guns N' Roses at
Snapdragon Stadium, we'll walk this way over to 1015 KGB.
We got a pair in your hand if you're caller
10 right now.

Speaker 1 (54:04):
Okay. Okay.

Speaker 6 (54:05):
All right.

Speaker 1 (54:07):
Huge congrats to.

Speaker 6 (54:09):
Both of our Guns N' Roses tickets winners, but quickly
moving away from that and getting to.

Speaker 1 (54:13):
What Kat just brought in as breakfast, you.

Speaker 6 (54:17):
Have a plate that's full of rice.

Speaker 1 (54:20):
Oh, no!

Speaker 6 (54:21):
Looks like it's bountifully seasoned. And then there's some sort
of meat-like product in there, although I know you don't
eat meat.

Speaker 1 (54:31):
This thing? Yeah, what is that? That's plantains. It's a banana? Yeah, well, plantains. Banana-like.
Some more starchy. Does it taste like a banana? It's
a little bit sweeter, I would say. All right. We
have a timeout.

Speaker 8 (54:44):
We're going to go to Fletch now. What's happening? It
is 10 minutes before you're allowed to break your fast.

Speaker 1 (54:49):
I know.

Speaker 2 (54:49):
I decided to break my fast 15 minutes early.

Speaker 1 (54:52):
Kill me. I was hungry.

Speaker 2 (54:53):
So I said, you know what? 8.45 is basically 9.80.
That's what you decided to go with? Well, I brought
my leftover African food from the Ocean Beach Farmer's Market
last night to have today.

Speaker 1 (55:03):
So how long is your fast if you're eating last night?

Speaker 2 (55:05):
Well, it was last night at like 4.30.

Speaker 1 (55:08):
That would be yesterday. That's still the evening. Five o'clock
is the evening. So five o'clock. So I'm terrible with math.

Speaker 2 (55:15):
I do 16 hours off, eight hour eating window.

Speaker 1 (55:17):
All right.

Speaker 6 (55:17):
All right.

Speaker 1 (55:18):
That makes sense. All right. So complicated. So no, no.
I mean, it makes sense. But I offered her a
chip earlier and she said she has to wait till nine.

Speaker 2 (55:26):
I know. And actually I ate it at 845. I
broke the fast with the chip, and it was a
delicious chip.

Speaker 1 (55:31):
It was a good chip.

Speaker 8 (55:31):
It's a good chip. By the way, good chip, good
selection from the vending machine. I really stepped it up
in our vending machine. But this rice plate.

Speaker 1 (55:39):
That you have. It's coconut rice.

Speaker 2 (55:40):
It's green lentil, and it's plantains from the African food
vendor at the OB Farmer's Market.

Speaker 6 (55:46):
It's such a strange breakfast because normally, and now don't
get me wrong, I'll eat leftovers in the morning all
the time too.

Speaker 1 (55:53):
You ate soup the other day at 4 a.m. I
did do that. T.D., was that an 0 for 3
for you? I did do that. Was that an 0
for 3 for you on food? Coconut rice, lentils, and plantains.
I wouldn't touch any of that. Oh, yeah. That's an
0 for 3. Lentils like a bean, right?

Speaker 2 (56:08):
I'm sure.

Speaker 1 (56:08):
I would eat that for lunch.

Speaker 7 (56:10):
I think I've had a bean soup thing.

Speaker 1 (56:13):
Lentil soup? We're going to leave this off the dating profile. What? Okay.
All right. And I'm just talking about dating. I'm not
talking about like you may find a man one day, Kat,
who's like, oh, I love the way she eats. It's
so interesting.

Speaker 6 (56:28):
Like, you know, oh, you know, she's got varied tastes
and I can take her anywhere.

Speaker 1 (56:32):
I think a lot of people. Yes, a lot of
guys think that about me already.

Speaker 6 (56:36):
Hang on.

Speaker 1 (56:36):
They'll say that when they first start dating.

Speaker 6 (56:38):
Okay, but we're going to pause that part of it.
There's going to be a lot more people who are
going to be like, gosh, she is.

Speaker 1 (56:46):
Picky she's a vegetarian and.

Speaker 6 (56:49):
Every time we go to a place she goes oh
I'm not looking for vegetarian options I'm looking for vegetarian
entrees there's a difference you don't want to put any.

Speaker 2 (56:59):
Of that in the dating profile yeah if your options
are just sides of like broccoli and then there's a
salad but we can take out the ham in it
like those are not true vegetarian options and I would
like to go to a different restaurant I get it.

Speaker 6 (57:09):
But okay if you're gonna date somebody you gotta lie
about all that pickiness.

Speaker 1 (57:13):
At first Yeah, don't bring any of that up. I
usually don't.

Speaker 6 (57:18):
If you're on a date with a guy and he
takes you somewhere and he's like, oh, she'll be impressed.
I'm taking her to a nice restaurant. And the first
thing you say is, there's nothing here for me.

Speaker 1 (57:27):
He's going to be like, uh-oh.

Speaker 8 (57:28):
One of the first road trips Kendall and I ever
took together, my wife, we stopped at McDonald's. And she
got the two for $ 3. 99, whatever the McDoubles was. And
she took them both down. And I decided that was
the day I.

Speaker 1 (57:38):
Was going to marry him. Okay. How about that? Because
of cheeseburgers, Kat.

Speaker 6 (57:41):
How about that?

Speaker 1 (57:41):
Start eating good food again. How about that? Start eating meat.

Speaker 2 (57:44):
Now, there's been times where I've gone on dates where,
you know, I knew that the restaurant that he selected
didn't have a lot of options for me, but I
was fine with that.

Speaker 1 (57:50):
I didn't say anything.

Speaker 2 (57:51):
So then we get to the point of being at
the restaurant and he's like, oh, you're vegetarian?

Speaker 6 (57:56):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (57:56):
Man, you only have one option. Do you want to
go somewhere else? Like sometimes they'll offer, let's, we can
go somewhere else where you have more to pick from.

Speaker 1 (58:03):
And what is your answer to that question? And I
have never said, yes, let's get up and leave. I've said, no,
I'm fine with this. But hang on, but have you,
a couple months down the road, I wouldn't be, but
would you.

Speaker 6 (58:13):
Openly complain at the table and be like, yeah, none
of these restaurants have things for me.

Speaker 2 (58:18):
I only say that to you guys because you guys
want to go to a steak restaurant anytime we do anything.

Speaker 1 (58:22):
Perfect. Okay. So you're off to a good start. Okay.
We're going to lie our way in. I'm fun to
date you guys. I love to lie. It started off
boring and slow.

Speaker 4 (58:35):
Blah, blah, blah.

Speaker 1 (58:36):
You gotta believe me. That part of the trial sucks.
If you missed yesterday, a lot was learned. You look
like the Fourth of July.

Speaker 3 (58:44):
Fletch is moonlighting and cats' tastes have turned.

Speaker 4 (58:48):
She's nearly 40, so she's going rogue. Blue hair and
nose rings might seem kind of vogue.

Speaker 1 (58:56):
Makes me want a hot dog real bad.

Speaker 5 (58:58):
Rich's passion was pulled off a vine. Did I mention
that cats lost their minds?

Speaker 3 (59:06):
It's time for Big Rich TD.

Speaker 1 (59:08):
Fletch and Cats. Oh, in this window?

Speaker 3 (59:10):
No need for a suit Unless it has mats It's
Thursday morning And we're ready to go Bring up the lights.

Speaker 1 (59:20):
Turn up your radio It's.

Speaker 5 (59:23):
The four person Hard to say KGB.

Speaker 1 (59:30):
Wake me when the show starts. It's already been on
a while. Wake me when it's over. It's one on
five KGB, big, rich TD and Fletch.

Speaker 6 (59:41):
If you miss the early portions of the show, we
had guns and roses tickets to give away. We had
been given privilege and preference really to start building cats
dating profile on Bumble.

Speaker 1 (59:55):
That's the chosen app.

Speaker 6 (59:57):
So we're going to get in the lab as we
put it here between myself, big, rich TD, my compadre
here and Fletch on the board. The three of us
are going to build a a dating profile to match
the greatness that is catfisher and we will catfish a
gentleman into her life and ensnare him for the rest of.

Speaker 2 (01:00:14):
His days i'm excited to see who you guys.

Speaker 6 (01:00:16):
Reel in i'm i'm excited too um i think we're
gonna do a better job than you have done and
no offense.

Speaker 7 (01:00:23):
No no no no no none taken if we do
choose a suitor You will go on a date.

Speaker 1 (01:00:29):
With this person. I'll go on a date, but it
has to be for real.

Speaker 2 (01:00:32):
You guys can't pick somebody who you think will be
funny if I go on a date with.

Speaker 1 (01:00:35):
We're not going to do that.

Speaker 8 (01:00:37):
We do want someone who A, is rich, and B,
cool to hang out with.

Speaker 1 (01:00:39):
Yeah, we need somebody that we're cool with hanging out with.
And might have a dad bod so he doesn't intimidate us.
How do you feel about that? Why do you guys
need to not be intimidated?

Speaker 6 (01:00:47):
Yeah, because if this guy shows up and he's got
an eight-pack... He's just like, what's up, softies?

Speaker 1 (01:00:53):
Yeah, we don't need that in our lives.

Speaker 8 (01:00:56):
Now, do you have a movie actor or person who
you would want us to shoot for looks-wise?

Speaker 1 (01:01:01):
Great question. You guys know I love Ben Affleck. Ben Affleck.

Speaker 7 (01:01:04):
Okay, so we need a Ben Affleck type. Like a
huge dragon back tattoo. I can't believe she pronounced his
name correctly. She always puts the wrong emphasis on the
wrong syllable. Do you want him to be a smoker then?
Because Ben Affleck smokes cigarettes. Smoking is a no-go for me.
That would be a deal breaker. So smoking hot, but non-smoker. Okay,

(01:01:26):
I'm making some notes here. What about the dragon back tattoo?
How do you feel about that?

Speaker 2 (01:01:32):
I don't know about Ben Affleck's dragon tattoo on his back, actually.
But the guy can have tattoos.

Speaker 1 (01:01:39):
Where?

Speaker 2 (01:01:41):
I guess.

Speaker 1 (01:01:41):
Tramp stamp. I guess anywhere. Tramp stamp might be a
little weird. There's this huge dragon back tattoo.

Speaker 6 (01:01:47):
Whoa.

Speaker 1 (01:01:48):
Oh, it takes up his entire back? It looks like
you kind of let a child just draw on him.
Moving off of that, blonde, brunette?

Speaker 2 (01:01:55):
I'm born to a guy with darker features.

Speaker 1 (01:01:59):
Okay. He doesn't have light eyes, though. I like darker features,
light eyes. That's a nice combo.

Speaker 2 (01:02:05):
I'm blonde, so I'm not typically attracted to blonde men.

Speaker 8 (01:02:08):
Okay.

Speaker 2 (01:02:09):
But i also like a guy that's bald um bald
is not a deal breaker.

Speaker 6 (01:02:14):
Does race or ethnicity matter at all white guy black
guy asian guy greek guy no mediterranean general yeah greek
guys are handsome.

Speaker 1 (01:02:25):
I do like greek guys okay greek okay so john's
famous he could be greek.

Speaker 7 (01:02:31):
Okay i'm just i'm Trying to put all this in.
Let's see what ChatGPT comes up with. We're going to have.

Speaker 1 (01:02:36):
To add, like, must love Oikos yogurt in her profile. Oh, right, right, right.
Do you care if the guy eats meat? No, I
don't mind if he eats meat sustainably. Sustainably? Do not
put that in the profile. Don't write that. Don't write that.
It's over with. As long as it's grassroots. that. How
about the booze? Do you need a sober gentleman?

Speaker 2 (01:02:57):
No, but I definitely don't want somebody who's like in
a party phase of their life. Like, I don't mind
if he enjoys a beverage, but if you're going out
and getting like wasted.

Speaker 1 (01:03:06):
Age range. Age range, 35.

Speaker 2 (01:03:09):
Ooh, you're a dead younger man.

Speaker 1 (01:03:13):
Yeah, a couple years younger.

Speaker 7 (01:03:14):
Okay.

Speaker 1 (01:03:14):
70. 55.

Speaker 8 (01:03:18):
65. So you want the rich divorcee money.

Speaker 2 (01:03:23):
Up for end would be 50.

Speaker 1 (01:03:27):
You made a lot of our listeners very happy. Yeah, wow, wow.
35 to 50.

Speaker 6 (01:03:31):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (01:03:32):
That is a 15-year window? Yeah, that makes sense. I
think that's valid.

Speaker 2 (01:03:37):
I could date a guy 12 years older than me.
I've dated guys 10 or 11 years older than me.

Speaker 1 (01:03:42):
So average age... would be 42, 43. I'm going to
plead the fifth on that one. Yeah, yeah.

Speaker 6 (01:03:49):
Like, what would you say is the largest range between
your age and a younger gentleman you've dated?

Speaker 1 (01:03:55):
Up and down. It's been 11 years. Up and down.

Speaker 6 (01:03:58):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (01:03:58):
So this would be the... Oh, no. You're still in there.
I was saying I thought this would be the biggest... No,
it still would be. The biggest age range. Up would
be the biggest. Yeah. Okay. All right. For sure. Okay.
For sure. Down would not be. She's beat those numbers. Well, okay.
So would you, okay. Say a guy got into your
DMs and he was 25. Would that be? No, we're

(01:04:21):
just in two different stages of life. Oh, when we
come back, we're going to keep working on the profile.

Speaker 6 (01:04:26):
I have an update on passion fruit theft from my property.

Speaker 1 (01:04:31):
That's next. So we had a neighbor.

Speaker 6 (01:04:35):
Around Pacific Beach who was listening to the show yesterday.
And it was during the portion of the show where
we were discussing a crime that was committed against my property.

Speaker 1 (01:04:43):
Because we did look this up.

Speaker 6 (01:04:45):
We used local laws and statutes to decide whether or
not if somebody's walking past your property and reaches onto
your property line, but from a public sidewalk to grab
fruit off of one of your trees, are they breaking
the law?

Speaker 1 (01:04:59):
And in fact, they are. You're not allowed to remove
anybody's property.

Speaker 6 (01:05:02):
Uh-huh. Whether you think it's, you know, for public consumption
or not. So anyways, we're talking about this lady who
was walking down the block with a baby stroller who
was just like dumping passion fruits from our bush.

Speaker 1 (01:05:16):
Right into her stroller. Into her babyless stroller.

Speaker 6 (01:05:19):
No baby in stroller, just passion fruits and about 20
of them. So anyways, so I'm coming home from work
yesterday and my neighbor who lives across the street, really
awesome guy, really, really awesome guy, really wonderful family over there.

Speaker 1 (01:05:34):
He he goes, Rich.

Speaker 6 (01:05:36):
And I'm like, what's up? And he's like parked halfway
out of the driveway. And I'm like, oh, hey, what's
going on? I hadn't caught up in a while. So
I walk over there. I just figured we'd just catch up.
We were laughing and listening to the show. He's like
that lady who walked by with the stroller.

Speaker 1 (01:05:50):
He's like. She does that all the time, dude. Oh,
no way. He's like, do you ever get a.

Speaker 6 (01:05:56):
Passion fruit off of your street side of the bush?

Speaker 1 (01:05:59):
And I'm like, not a single one. It won't produce.

Speaker 6 (01:06:02):
I was like, I'm like, if I see one falling
on the ground or that's fallen off the bush onto
the ground, I said, I'll grab it and heave ho
it over into our yard because they don't break when
they land.

Speaker 1 (01:06:14):
They're really light.

Speaker 6 (01:06:15):
I was like, and so I'll pick it up off
the turf and bring it into the house when they're there.
I was like, but so far this season, I haven't
seen a single one that... He was like, yeah, because
she doesn't even wait until they ripen. She goes over
there and she pulls them right off the bush.

Speaker 1 (01:06:28):
She's a regular thief on your block? So she comes... Apparently.

Speaker 6 (01:06:33):
The next door house to his, the one I was
telling you about how they have a passion fruit bush too,
she hits that house and then hits our house right after.

Speaker 1 (01:06:42):
Consistently. And this is just the first time that you've
noticed her. This is the first time I noticed her.

Speaker 6 (01:06:46):
And she goes walking up into his neighbor's driveway to
get the passion fruits off their vine. So this is
a whole neighborhood caper thing we got going on.

Speaker 1 (01:06:56):
I know that you have a ring door cam or whatever.

Speaker 6 (01:06:58):
Yeah, yeah.

Speaker 1 (01:06:59):
Or some sort of system. I forget what it is.

Speaker 2 (01:07:00):
Do you think that you would have a picture of
her from your ring? It has, I think, a 60-day memory.

Speaker 1 (01:07:09):
And I want to say, yeah, I must. Yeah, I
must have.

Speaker 2 (01:07:13):
You could print her picture and put it up on
telephone poles around your neighborhood and say, watch out for
this passion fruit thing.

Speaker 8 (01:07:21):
That would be a very TD thing to do. I
don't know that you want to be in that. Okay,
but hang on. Here's the thing.

Speaker 2 (01:07:27):
It's public shaming and then she's not going to hit
your block.

Speaker 1 (01:07:30):
Again because she's embarrassed. Look at this poor gal. She
just wants some passion fruits. She's stealing them. So check
this out. Come ask. Only if I'm outside and not busy.

Speaker 6 (01:07:38):
You're... Your brain is kind of going where my brain
was going in TD.

Speaker 2 (01:07:44):
100%.

Speaker 8 (01:07:45):
Fletch, you are on the side that... So I walk in.
I'm just starting to feel bad for the lady. It
feels like the whole neighborhood's conspiring against her. She just
wants some passion fruit.

Speaker 2 (01:07:53):
They're not conspiring against her.

Speaker 1 (01:07:55):
She's stealing from many neighbors. Have you missed any of
the passion fruit she's stolen? So check this out. So
I walk in the house and I say to Ann,
I'm like.

Speaker 6 (01:08:02):
I'm hot because our neighbor just told us that we've
got a regular thief visiting our property. So I said,
and I'm like, I'm like, I can't believe this. My
wife is sitting there on the bed. I'm like unloading
this whole thing that I just heard from our neighbor.

Speaker 1 (01:08:16):
And she goes, yeah. She's like, but I mean, who's
it really hurting?

Speaker 6 (01:08:19):
She was like, I mean, we have tons of passion
fruit right now in our house and we have tons
under the bush on our side of the fence that
we're not using.

Speaker 1 (01:08:27):
She was like that. We're probably going to give away anyway.

Speaker 6 (01:08:30):
She was like, she's kind of doing us a favor
because imagine how many birds would be like pecking at
the passion fruit.

Speaker 8 (01:08:35):
That fall on the ground. If she wasn't picking them
up for us. That's also what she told you. She said,
I'm helping you out. Well, she's making your plant better.

Speaker 6 (01:08:41):
Well, so what's crazy about it is she goes, what
if she needs the passion fruits? And I'm like, 20
passion fruits at a time? And she goes, yeah, but
she was like, what if she's selling them because she's
got a bunch of kids she's having a hard time
feeding or fending for?

Speaker 1 (01:08:56):
She was like, you never know people's deal. And I'm like,
why am I always.

Speaker 6 (01:09:00):
of a sudden feel bad for the thief who's coming
by our property and stealing our stuff?

Speaker 7 (01:09:04):
I'm Googling, is it possible to poison passion fruit while
it's still on the vine? But it's actually coming up
on how to kill the plant. It's not what I'm
looking for, Google.

Speaker 1 (01:09:15):
I don't know. If you had a hypodermic needle, maybe. Nope. Wow.
There's a lot happening in San Diego this weekend.

Speaker 6 (01:09:23):
But TD, the self-proclaimed homebody king, now has the ultimate
decision to make.

Speaker 1 (01:09:29):
Play or stay. Brought to you by Valley View Casino
and Hotel. Ah, yes. Play or stay.

Speaker 6 (01:09:36):
We do it every week where TD wistfully walks us
down the path of weekend events. He will tell us
whether he's interested and he'll play along and go to
one of these events or just stay at Valley View
Casino and Hotel where he always has a good time.

Speaker 1 (01:09:51):
So, so far we're on a heater.

Speaker 6 (01:09:54):
He's given us, I believe, over a hundred different events
over a variety of weekends here in San Diego.

Speaker 1 (01:10:02):
And he's chosen.

Speaker 6 (01:10:03):
Not to play on a single one, but only stay
at Valley View Casino and Hotel.

Speaker 1 (01:10:08):
So we're curious, TD, will this be the week?

Speaker 6 (01:10:11):
Maybe.

Speaker 4 (01:10:12):
Maybe.

Speaker 7 (01:10:12):
Lots of fun things going on all weekend long here
in San Diego, including the Little Italy Mercado.

Speaker 2 (01:10:19):
TD!

Speaker 6 (01:10:19):
TD!

Speaker 1 (01:10:21):
There's a farmer's market that.

Speaker 2 (01:10:23):
Happens every Saturday in Little Italy. There's one every Sunday
in Hillcrest.

Speaker 1 (01:10:30):
Huh. I am not a farmer, so I'll stay on
this one. I believe the third week in a row
he's mentioned the Little Italy.

Speaker 6 (01:10:37):
That's crazy.

Speaker 1 (01:10:39):
How about the Friday night farmer's market in La Mesa?
You want to go to that one? I'm still not
a farmer.

Speaker 2 (01:10:44):
What about the Thursday night farmer market in North Park?

Speaker 1 (01:10:48):
I'm not a farmer. I'm not a farmer. On Saturday morning,
Sevita Park. I don't like Sevita. Last night, Ocean Beach.
Isn't that that fish dish?

Speaker 7 (01:10:56):
Ceviche i'm not a farmer guys i can't i can't
attend i don't.

Speaker 9 (01:11:02):
Have a card so sorry but little italy it is
happening saturday from eight to two handmade so pasteurized.

Speaker 1 (01:11:12):
Eggs Oh my gosh. Can't get those in stores.

Speaker 7 (01:11:16):
The way front wave credit. The front wave arena collectibles expo.
That's also happening Saturday. The front wave arena. Ah, I
lost my page. Oh God, it's over with. Just go
to front wave arena. Just see what's going on. Front
wave arena is calling on all SoCal card collectors, Pokemon fans,

(01:11:38):
and memorabilia mavens to stop by its first ever Collectibles
Expo this Saturday from 10 to 6 p.m.

Speaker 1 (01:11:46):
Whoa. You would... TD, this kind of feels like... Yeah,
this sounds like my nightmare, which sounds like it's your paradise, TD.
I cannot go to this. I can't go.

Speaker 7 (01:11:56):
My wife does not let me go out and buy stuff,
so I have to do it in secret online.

Speaker 1 (01:12:01):
And it just shows up at our house, so I
have to stay on this one. It's unfortunate. Well, hang on.
Before you get to your third, can I sneak one
in here? Because we had a listener.

Speaker 6 (01:12:10):
On the talkback, Mike, leave you a very special message
about something that he was curious you might want to
play or stay on.

Speaker 1 (01:12:19):
Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa. Audience participation on player stay? Here's
Greg from El Cajon.

Speaker 6 (01:12:23):
Hey, TV, got something for player stay? Listen.

Speaker 1 (01:12:27):
It's Serial Killer Speakeasy.

Speaker 6 (01:12:29):
I'm going with a buddy, friend of mine.

Speaker 1 (01:12:32):
I hope to see you there. Come on, let's do it.
Serial Killer Speakeasy. Let's see where this is at here.
Serial Killer Speakeasy.

Speaker 2 (01:12:42):
A speakeasy is like a hidden bar.

Speaker 1 (01:12:44):
Oh, I actually love speakeasy.

Speaker 8 (01:12:46):
Sometimes you like sit in a fireplace and all of
a sudden it turns around and you're in a bar.

Speaker 1 (01:12:49):
Yeah, yeah. There's one at UTC like that. I forget. Yeah, it's...
Raised by Wolves. Raised by Wolves. Oh, yeah, yeah.

Speaker 7 (01:12:56):
It's happening at Boulevard Hall in El Cajon. It looks
like there's three nights of it.

Speaker 1 (01:13:02):
And I don't know. You talk about serial killers. I
don't need to go to this. I already know. A
true crime cocktail experience.

Speaker 6 (01:13:10):
Dude, you're going to be solving crimes while drinking cocktails.

Speaker 1 (01:13:14):
I already know who the serial killer is. I already won.
What do you mean? Who is it?

Speaker 7 (01:13:18):
I just literally, two days ago, brought home a box
of Frosted Mini Wheats and Cinnamon Toast Crunch. And my
kids killed them.

Speaker 2 (01:13:27):
Done.

Speaker 1 (01:13:28):
Stay on this one. That's a laugh. That's definitely a laugh.

Speaker 6 (01:13:31):
What?

Speaker 1 (01:13:33):
Tell everyone about Valley View and then go for a run.
That's all I need to say. It's Valley View Casino
and Hotel. Want to learn more? Go to valleyviewcasino.com. All
guests 21 and over are invited to enjoy the casino, hotel,
and restaurants. I would like us to take another trip there.
That's fine. I've been craving some key lime pie. You
know what?

Speaker 6 (01:13:49):
Trader Joe's made a key lime pie, and I've been
buying that.

Speaker 1 (01:13:53):
It's a freezer pie, but I still haven't had the
Valley View pie. We got to change that. Okay. Take
it away, Prince. It's just a tip with Big Rich.

Speaker 6 (01:14:04):
Yes, a little advice. I like to slide out your way.
It's yours for the taking if you'd like it. If not,
push it back this way. No harm, no foul. It's
just a tip with Big Rich. And today's tip is
of the scuba slash snorkeling sword. So I was at
the beach yesterday.

Speaker 1 (01:14:20):
Bunch of... Let's go see some fish. Bunch of the...
Bunch of the.

Speaker 6 (01:14:27):
School kids want to go to the beach and actually
a bunch of them took their paddle boards because the
phys ed teacher at my my children's school took a
group of students out.

Speaker 1 (01:14:40):
To go on a paddle boarding expedition.

Speaker 2 (01:14:43):
Oh.

Speaker 6 (01:14:43):
Where they were like, it was crazy. I was like,
how do you have the energy or the time to
do this? Your kid's school is so much cooler than
the school I went to. It's nuts.

Speaker 1 (01:14:52):
Light years. Oh, it's nuts. I was like, what is
happening right now? But anyways, so the teacher comes back.

Speaker 6 (01:15:00):
And a bunch of kids you know they grab their
boogie boards they all go back in the water and
i'm just like dude what what gave you this idea
he's like i don't know we're talking about it with
some of the parents from the kids we just decided
to do it i'm like that's awesome and then i'm
like what tips would you give somebody if they were
going to go out and paddleboard and like want to
see some stuff because there's parts of la jolla especially

(01:15:22):
where i know there's snorkeling i know there's caves or
caverns or something you can kayak through yeah so he
goes check this out take out your paddleboard but get
yourself a long enough rope to tie to the leash
on the paddleboard or like tie a couple of those
big surfing leashes together and put an ankle weight at

(01:15:43):
the bottom of it paddle out to an area where
there's like a kelp bed or there you're nearby one
of those caverns throw your snorkel mask on, and you
basically anchor your paddleboard there, and then you can snorkel
around while your vessel to escape the region is waiting above.

Speaker 1 (01:16:01):
That's cool. It's really cool. It was like a pretty
good idea.

Speaker 6 (01:16:04):
And when you get nervous about the sea life or
you just don't feel like doing it, it's like you
swim up to your board. pop back on, pull up
the anchor, bring it back to shore. He's like, you know,
I mean, you could make a snorkeling trip only 30
minutes from the time you leave the beach until you
get back, and you'll see a lot of fish doing
it that way.

Speaker 1 (01:16:22):
Sounds like something a cool guy would say. No way
I can pull that off.

Speaker 6 (01:16:26):
Dude, that's what I was thinking, too. I'm like, that
is the coolest thing. He was like, buddy, and he
has an accent, too.

Speaker 1 (01:16:31):
He's swarthy. He's like, oh, like a really tan complexion.
He says things like, buddy, it's super easy. All you
must do is you.

Speaker 6 (01:16:40):
tether your your paddleboard he's like you drive up one
hour you see fish you.

Speaker 1 (01:16:45):
Paddle you get exercise you get sunlight.

Speaker 7 (01:16:48):
You go wait a minute we don't need a dating
app yeah is he 43 6 1 maybe a little
overweight but not too overweight likes to hit the gym
is he single not shredded hits hits the gym single
right 60.

Speaker 1 (01:17:00):
Plus he's out of my age range five foot six
He's out of my age range. Hold on, hold on,
hold on.

Speaker 7 (01:17:06):
Is there a money figure he can make that the
age range gets extended?

Speaker 1 (01:17:11):
Yeah, yeah. That's a sliding scale. That's a sliding scale.

Speaker 7 (01:17:15):
I'm looking between 35 and 50, unless it's over a
quarter million a year, then 55, over.

Speaker 2 (01:17:20):
500,000, 60. I mean, look, there's a chart, right? It's like,
where are you laying on the chart?

Speaker 1 (01:17:24):
Okay, all right. It's negotiable is what we're saying. Sliding scale.
I'll talk to him about his finances next time I
speak to him. One on one five KGB. Okay.

Speaker 6 (01:17:33):
We've a couple of things happen all at once. We
have guns and roses tickets later in the station day.
Clint August is going to get those to you. So
just keep listening to one on one five KGB. He
will have another pair for you to win. Also, Kat,
she got a box. It's a pretty nice, pretty sizable box.

Speaker 1 (01:17:52):
It looks weighty.

Speaker 2 (01:17:53):
What?

Speaker 1 (01:17:54):
I don't know what's in the box. I don't know
who it came from. Oh, well, you know what? Then
open it outside.

Speaker 2 (01:18:01):
I got an email from our front desk that said
you have a box.

Speaker 1 (01:18:04):
Is it ticking? Wait, how come Rich is opening up
your gift? Oh, my gosh. Look at it, guys. It's Kleenex.
It's a blanket. It's a decorative throne. Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa.
That's exciting. That's super cute. Worst present we've ever gotten.

Speaker 2 (01:18:22):
This is great because I've been using like a Valentine
themed blanket.

Speaker 1 (01:18:26):
That one looks fall. That is very fall. Okay. That's
all the time we have today. Tomorrow we find her
a man.

Speaker 2 (01:18:35):
I've got the blanket.

Speaker 1 (01:18:38):
Now I just need a man. Yeah. Bye, Mom. Bye.

Speaker 4 (01:19:05):
See you later.

Speaker 1 (01:19:06):
I'll pick you up at a quarter to three. Okay, bye.
We got no food. We got no jobs. Our pets'
heads are falling off!
