It’s Bar Cart Friday on Big Rich, TD & Fletch and we’re heading into the weekend the right way! Heaven’s Door is in studio pouring some whiskey and getting the party started. TD has to confess to doing something absolutely embarrassing with his phone, and apparently we’ve all become astronomers because the lunar eclipse has completely taken over the show. Drinks, questionable decisions and space talk… just another Friday morning!

Speaker 1 (00:00):
And after we had a few beers, we came up
with the Shower Buddy.

Speaker 2 (00:02):
The Shower Buddy? I'm sorry, that name's not official yet. No,
he's wrong. It is official. I wanted the Shower Daddy.
Shower Daddy is worse on pretty much every level, so...
I have to agree with Nick. It's better than having
some strange dude in the shower with you. That's not
some strange dude, Dale, as I've said many, many times.
It's your buddy! Why would your buddy be in the
shower with you? Why would your dad? Let's pull out
some glasses And pour ourselves.

Speaker 3 (00:24):
One Break out the good stuff Cause this should be fun.

Speaker 1 (00:30):
It's Friday.

Speaker 2 (00:31):
Everybody coasts on Friday. I'm out of here.

Speaker 4 (00:33):
I'll see you Tuesday.

Speaker 2 (00:38):
Was it as fun as boys to men? I'm sorry,
it's the pleats. Let's just secret project is underway. Will
it be cool or kind of not cool? Oh, it's
all right. They're probably basic underpants.

Speaker 3 (00:51):
It's a bar cart Friday with Tony K. Keg and
bottle is on display. Heaven's gate whiskey at the end
of the week. Take yourself a sip and wet your beak.
Did anyone bring some banana bread, dude?

Speaker 5 (01:03):
Howdy.

Speaker 2 (01:05):
Let's get this thing started and don't cop a two.
It's actually an optical illusion.

Speaker 3 (01:10):
Turn up the volume.

Speaker 2 (01:12):
Turn down the thermostats. Here they are. Big, rich, deedy,
fletch and cat.

Speaker 1 (01:18):
I thought we were in the trust tree within the nest.

Speaker 2 (01:24):
Are we not? We are. Okay.

Speaker 1 (01:27):
Happy Friday to those who celebrate.

Speaker 2 (01:30):
It's Big Rich TD and Fletch. I'm Big Rich. To
my right is an AI music savant TD. I feel
like I'm dialing it in. It's getting better every single week.

Speaker 1 (01:40):
I hope that you're streamlining the process where it doesn't
take you hours anymore.

Speaker 3 (01:45):
I am.

Speaker 2 (01:46):
It's getting a little less, a little less.

Speaker 6 (01:48):
I don't know how many, I don't know, children are
not being fed or trees are not being watered due
to the amount of usage of AI technology.

Speaker 1 (01:55):
No, this is honestly, we'll get back to this, but
I do think that there's something to that cat across
from TD who's taught us all so many things over
the course of her time, being friends with us. And
she's taught something that's impacted my own and TD's life
in a very meaningful way.

Speaker 2 (02:11):
Which is what? We'll get back to that as well.
And then across from me is Fletch on the board.

Speaker 1 (02:15):
Okay, so we'll start from the start with TD. You're
right about the AI data centers that require so much water,
but not unlike when you're in second grade and you're
planting a seed, whether it be tomato, cucumber, and then
Watching it sprout and germinate and you're watering it every day.
I think we should bring elementary school kids over to

(02:36):
data centers and water the data.

Speaker 2 (02:38):
Centers and watch them grow. Yeah, instead of watching a
bean sprout. That's right. Let's watch TD make some AI intros.
We need beans to sustain life, though. Let's pour a
little water on the side of a building and then.

Speaker 1 (02:52):
Have some drone operator in Vegas fly over cities across
the world.

Speaker 4 (02:57):
There's probably enough canned beans to last everybody a lifetime
or two.

Speaker 2 (03:01):
Those beans are filled with water. CD, you know you
can make money. doing this? I could make money doing it.

Speaker 4 (03:07):
Well, you should be making money doing this.

Speaker 2 (03:09):
Yeah, but that'd require me to do more of them, Fletch.
I don't want to do that. You like it so much, though.

Speaker 4 (03:13):
But you could release an album. You weren't good enough
at it to make some serious cash. We could call
you an AI producer.

Speaker 7 (03:19):
Oof.

Speaker 2 (03:20):
I don't really like the sound of that, to be
quite honest. I think you're Michael Bublé-I.

Speaker 4 (03:27):
That doesn't mean AI tractor.

Speaker 2 (03:30):
Pull won't fail.

Speaker 6 (03:30):
I think my country band from the early 2000s can
resurrect itself. Country pull or tractor pull can come back.

Speaker 2 (03:38):
I think it should. In AI version. I know for
a fact that that Facebook page still exists. Yes, it does.

Speaker 1 (03:43):
So we're going to get some traction there throughout the
course of the show. It is a Bar Cart Friday
brought to you by Keg and Bottle. We'll update you
on all the festivities we'll be enjoying later. And Kat,
she's motivated us to do something new. The moon is it.

Speaker 2 (03:59):
I mean, it is cool. That's what we learned from
Kat yesterday.

Speaker 1 (04:02):
And we played a little game I like to call
Moon with Friends yesterday. We were all sending each other
moon pics. That's what Kat said she did. She sends
her friends moon pics. And then when she asked us,
don't you send your friends moon pics? And we all
said no. She was flabbergasted.

Speaker 8 (04:16):
Yeah, because sometimes the sunset or maybe the sunrise or
the moon is so beautiful that you want your friends
to see it.

Speaker 1 (04:22):
Sunsets and sunrises make sense to me because it literally
sometimes looks surreal. Like the divine creator took... a paintbrush
and and like did something to the sky that you've
never seen before right i.

Speaker 8 (04:37):
Feel the same actually about a moon though it's a
low-hanging moon maybe it's like a thumbnail moon and it's
super low and really bright for some reason i don't
know what makes the moon.

Speaker 1 (04:46):
Lower like a waxing or waning crescent yes so pretty
what makes the moon lower is we're spinning Oh, okay.
I like it when that moon is low.

Speaker 4 (04:56):
I saw the moon at 8 o'clock last night, and
it was big. Did something cooler happen?

Speaker 2 (05:01):
It's a full moon. Well, yeah.

Speaker 6 (05:03):
The Earth's gotten away in between the sun and the moon.

Speaker 1 (05:07):
So, yeah, when the sun's behind us, it's nighttime for us.
and every once in a while, and I don't know
how often it happens, TD. You might know better than me,
but the Earth's shadow passes in front of the moon,
and this one was almost a complete eclipse. It was 96%
of the moon was covered up at its peak.

Speaker 6 (05:24):
It was a pretty good one for us. I feel
like it happens... once a year or maybe once every
couple of years. It seems like it's fairly often. Let's
look at how often it happens.

Speaker 1 (05:32):
So we go, uh, we're, we're getting ready for bed
at the Warren burger household and I'm talking to Annie
and all of a sudden my phone rings and her
phone rings and it's her mom. And I'm like, Oh man,
I'm like, it might be an emergency. Annie picks up
and she goes, It's an eclipse. Actually, it happens two
or three times a year.

Speaker 8 (05:52):
Oh, wow.

Speaker 2 (05:52):
Now, it may not be viewable for us. Oh, yeah.
That makes sense, depending on where you are.

Speaker 1 (05:58):
So my son walks in in the middle of this
conversation with my mother-in-law, and he's like, oh, we got
to go. So we end up driving up to the
top of Mount Soledad, which is like maybe 15, 17
minutes away from our house.

Speaker 2 (06:13):
And so we're there. And I don't know what.

Speaker 1 (06:17):
Why I didn't think people were there for the moon watching,
but there's like a little war memorial at the top.

Speaker 2 (06:23):
And I assumed there was like a rally for the
troops going on. I'm like, look at all the headlights.
At 9 p.m.? Yeah. You know, on a Thursday. 8
to 7. right it's a big.

Speaker 1 (06:35):
Day never forget so i so i drive i drive
up and i'm like man go figure i'm like well
we'll have to find a different spot and then it's
just idiots like me who are trying to find a
parking spot to look at the moon to look closer
at the moon so uh we did find a parking
spot and got yelled at immediately by a really really
intensely hostile woman it in the passenger seat of a

(06:57):
convertible because I left my hazard lights on.

Speaker 2 (07:00):
Where I was parked.

Speaker 1 (07:01):
She's like, can you turn those off?

Speaker 2 (07:03):
Oh, because it was poisoning the darkness. Yeah. Light pollution.
I was like, yeah, I can.

Speaker 1 (07:11):
I'm going to get my children out of the car
first safely. Because the one's opening it and oncoming, hey, Ty,
this lady needs the blinkers off.

Speaker 2 (07:19):
But hang on, ma'am.

Speaker 1 (07:22):
She needs them off because she's looking at the moon
and it's going to go away in easily a few seconds.
So we better just hustle and make sure she could
see it.

Speaker 6 (07:30):
Now, it's a little difficult to take a moon pic
with your phone.

Speaker 2 (07:34):
Yeah, it is hard. So I don't know. They don't
really seem shareable, to be quite honest. I thought the
pictures that we all swapped were pretty good.

Speaker 8 (07:42):
I was at Petco for the Nas concert, and everybody
was turned around at one point taking pictures of the moon.

Speaker 2 (07:47):
That's fun for Nas. Yeah, yeah, yeah. He was probably
looking at it as well. Really excited.

Speaker 1 (07:53):
Well, thank you for that, Kat. I do feel different
this morning than I did last night.

Speaker 2 (07:58):
I mean, is one enough? Do we have to keep
sharing them? If you see a pretty moon, yeah. I
almost took a picture of it coming in because it
was hanging. It's a full moon. It's a hanging full moon.

Speaker 1 (08:07):
It's like a year of the Pisces or something.

Speaker 2 (08:09):
I really thought we were talking about butt pictures this
whole time. Are we sharing?

Speaker 1 (08:13):
You thought I drove to Mount Soledad to take a
picture of my ass and send it to you guys?

Speaker 2 (08:17):
A full moon.

Speaker 6 (08:19):
Oh, yeah.

Speaker 2 (08:20):
That would have been a cool shot.

Speaker 1 (08:22):
Ladies and gentlemen, he is the consummate host, a man
who commands a microphone, steers a conversation, and entertains house guests.
And all he would want more than those things is
to just have someone mood him, according to the last
conversation we had. Send a photo of it. His passions

(08:42):
are simple, great radio, unexpected butt cheeks, and every GTA
promo on Rockstar that he could get into his bloodstream.

Speaker 2 (08:49):
He's equal parts broadcaster, digital outlaw, and roadside menace with
the emotional maturity of a teenager hanging out of a
limousine sunroof. It's prom time, baby.

Speaker 1 (09:00):
Lock the doors, hide your backside, and fire up the PS5.
This is The Flag Zone! We're Fletch Talk Sports.

Speaker 5 (09:11):
Woof, woof.

Speaker 4 (09:11):
You guys see that Grand Theft Auto extended book promo?

Speaker 2 (09:14):
Oh, my God. I saw what you sent.

Speaker 7 (09:17):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (09:18):
GTA, more like, yeah.

Speaker 4 (09:20):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (09:21):
You're not kidding, man.

Speaker 4 (09:22):
Hey, after nearly a decade-long hiatus, the poinsettia-ble, poinsettia-ble? It's
going to be returning to college football's postseason this year.
The bowl announced yesterday. The game is going to feature
a team from the revamp Pac-12 against the team from
either the ACC Big 12 or Big 10. It's going
to be played at Snapdragon Stadium on December 23rd. So

(09:43):
now San Diego will have two bowl games this year
because the 47th annual holiday bowl.

Speaker 2 (09:48):
Will take place on Monday, December 28th.

Speaker 4 (09:51):
So a lot of people have been missing the Poinsettia
Bowl with the revamped Pac-12.

Speaker 2 (09:54):
They have a reason to do it again. Congratulations, San Diego.
You get another bowl game. There we go. This is
how we do it.

Speaker 1 (10:01):
It's been nearly a decade. It's a great bowl destination.
I just wish we could get a super one back.

Speaker 2 (10:06):
Yeah, same. Or salad. Yeah, or salad, I guess. Super salad.

Speaker 4 (10:12):
And this is what we do on a Friday, TD.
We're off to such a good start. We're talking about moons.
Talking about bowl games. Now you gotta make a dumb joke.

Speaker 2 (10:18):
He said super. I thought salad. I thought that should
be the next one. That wasn't even part of the joke, dude. Oh,
I get it. Soup or salad. Yeah, a soup bowl
or a salad bowl. Soup or salad bowl. I don't
understand what you guys are missing here. Golly, grow up. Thanks, TD.
Moving right along. Some serious news out of the NFL.

Speaker 4 (10:37):
Josh Jacobs earlier this offseason was actually convicted on felony
charges of strangulation for his then girlfriend. Well, now the
charges have been knocked down to class a misdemeanors for
Josh Jacobs is what he was officially charged with yesterday.
That is going to hold a fine of at least
ten thousand dollars each for those two or nine months
in prison time. for each of those two, obviously the

(10:59):
fine is going to be the direction he ends up going,
but the NFL was waiting on the official charges to
come down before litigating any sort of suspension for Josh Jacobs.

Speaker 2 (11:07):
I would imagine since this has happened before the.

Speaker 4 (11:09):
Season, and this is a little bit of speculation on
my part, Josh Jacobs will probably miss six to eight
weeks of this NFL season, which is a bit of
a death nail for the green Bay Packers. Now, obviously
the charges off the field are incredibly serious. I'm sort
of looking more towards on the field But the Packers
are in a bit of a rocky situation anyways. If
you're taking away, rightfully so, their workhorse running back, this

(11:30):
is going to be a tough year for Jordan Love,
I got to imagine.

Speaker 2 (11:33):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (11:34):
I mean, they're going to obviously move toward their backups
and they've got a bunch of guys that you wouldn't
really know.

Speaker 2 (11:43):
Um, Marshawn Lloyd. Yeah. He says he's ready. I mean,
an excellent college career.

Speaker 4 (11:48):
Um, I can't remember where exactly he went, but the
Packers were excited about him, but they were excited about
him until they traded for Josh Jacobs.

Speaker 1 (11:55):
Hmm.

Speaker 2 (11:55):
Yeah. Hmm. Yeah. It's going to be fun. Sound real fun.
It's good. It's going to be a rough situation.

Speaker 1 (12:00):
Well, and also in the NFC North, we have the
Detroit lions, the Minnesota Vikings who newly acquired, um, uh,
Kyler Murray, a quarterback alliance have been good for years
now with, uh, Dan Campbell as their head coach and
Jared golf is their quarterback. And the Chicago Bears with
Caleb Williams, who's I mean, that team's on an upswing now.

(12:21):
So it's going to be a pretty tricky division to
navigate with the Packers down one running back for a
portion of the season, we presume.

Speaker 4 (12:28):
Now, gang, tomorrow is a pretty big day in the
world of sports. I don't know if everybody knows what's
going on, but tomorrow morning, 9 a.m., if you turn
on your.

Speaker 2 (12:35):
TV for chill downs. College football is here, TD.

Speaker 4 (12:39):
The first game of the college football season at the
Division I level will take place tomorrow morning, 9 a.m.
The University of North Carolina taking on the TCU Horned Frogs.
This game is being played out in Dublin, Ireland. Bill
Belichick returning to the field. Will Jordan Hudson be there?

Speaker 2 (12:54):
We don't know. I certainly hope so. Are they together? Oh, yeah,
they're still together. She's 27 now. She'll be there.

Speaker 1 (13:02):
You saw a photo of Bill Belichick that looked like
he had a nipple ring.

Speaker 2 (13:05):
Was that confirmed AI? Confirmed AI. Unfortunately so.

Speaker 4 (13:09):
It was a picture of the two of them on
an off-season vacation in Egypt, and it did look like
Bill Belichick had nipple rings. But much like Kat's fake
septum ring, these were fake nipple rings.

Speaker 2 (13:19):
In fact, they weren't even on him. They were digitally implanted.

Speaker 8 (13:21):
Saw a gal last night at the concert with a
real septum ring, and it looked fake.

Speaker 2 (13:26):
Edgy. What color was her hair? It was brown. Oh, darn.
I thought for sure you were saying neon pink or blue.
What did her wife look like? I don't know, TD.
She was a bartender, actually. Oh, okay. I thought it
was edgy. I bet you.

Speaker 1 (13:41):
It was a magnetic septum piercing because she read somewhere like,
bartenders with septum piercings get tipped more.

Speaker 2 (13:49):
You're like, man, you're edgy. Here's an extra $ 2. 50. I
like you. And that's a pretty good Moscow mule. It's
just the tip with Big Rich.

Speaker 3 (14:01):
Ah, yes.

Speaker 1 (14:02):
Just a little advice. I like to slide out your way.
It's yours for the taking if you want it. If not,
push it back this way. No harm, no foul. It's
just the tip with Big Rich. And today's tip, man, oh, man, oh, man.
It is probably one of my favorite, maybe of all time.
If you've never bought these before, do so. I've had

(14:23):
my first one, I don't want to say in my
entire life because I'm probably misremembering, but if you need
a convenient snack on the go. A turkey corn dog,
a frozen turkey corn dog is like one of the
best snacks I've ever found.

Speaker 2 (14:40):
Did you buy one of those big giant cardboard boxes?

Speaker 4 (14:43):
Yeah.

Speaker 6 (14:44):
Grab it, wrap it up in a paper towel, throw
it in the microwave for like a minute.

Speaker 2 (14:47):
Costco, baby.

Speaker 4 (14:48):
Dude.

Speaker 1 (14:48):
So we have 1,000 of them in our refrigerator or
freezer right now. And I was like, man, I bought
way too many of these. And it was from like
weeks ago now. And they'd just been sitting in the
freezer staring at me. I'm like, well, better start working
through these corn dogs.

Speaker 5 (15:04):
Right.

Speaker 2 (15:04):
And I figured because they're turkey, they'd be awful.

Speaker 1 (15:06):
They taste just like a regular hot dog.

Speaker 2 (15:08):
They taste just like a regular hot dog.

Speaker 1 (15:10):
And also, to your point, they take no time at all.

Speaker 2 (15:14):
In the microwave. Wow. Pretty sweet.

Speaker 1 (15:16):
50 seconds later, I'm eating like a perfectly steamed corn dog.

Speaker 2 (15:24):
Having a good old time.

Speaker 1 (15:25):
I even bought these little plastic dipping cups I bring
into the car with me.

Speaker 2 (15:28):
Ranch, honey mustard, ketchup, barbecue sauce. You got a Ninja
Air Fryer, right, Rich? Yeah.

Speaker 4 (15:35):
Dude, the crispy corn dog is next level, man. Fletch
isn't wrong. There hasn't been many times in my adult
life where I haven't had a Costco box of these
in my freezer.

Speaker 2 (15:46):
Also one of my favorite treats. It never goes away.
They're so good. It's like an emergency ration. Yeah, you
get home from work, you pop one in there for
a while. Do you do that daily, Fletch? There's been
times in my life. Yeah, Kat. Why do you think
you live so long? I've been.

Speaker 1 (16:01):
I've been. For about a week and a half now,
I've had a corndog a day.

Speaker 2 (16:05):
And guess what? I haven't been to the doctor a
single time. In the last week and a half? A
corndog a day keeps the doctor away. If I'm jumping
in the car, there's no way I'm bringing condiments. I
don't even want the stick. No, no. So I'll just
rip the thing out and finger it. You just fist it? Yeah.
Hold it right in your hand?

Speaker 1 (16:24):
Yep.

Speaker 2 (16:25):
He bare hands it. And he raw dogs it. That's right.
You use your finger as the stick?

Speaker 1 (16:30):
No, I just hold it with my fingers. That's disgusting.
You remove the stick, though.

Speaker 3 (16:35):
Wow.

Speaker 2 (16:35):
I burn my... The tips of my fingers.

Speaker 1 (16:37):
Are a little sensitive.

Speaker 2 (16:40):
No cows. Have enough of them. I'll tell you right now. I.

Speaker 1 (16:46):
I will stick them in the air fryer tonight, and
I'll report back on Monday, and I'll let you know
how this goes.

Speaker 2 (16:51):
You've been just microwaving them?

Speaker 5 (16:52):
Oh, yeah.

Speaker 2 (16:53):
A little soggy, huh?

Speaker 1 (16:54):
Oh, they're like steamy corn dogs, which, again, I didn't
think would be good.

Speaker 2 (16:58):
They're incredible. Incredible. Yeah, but not crispy at all. Yeah,
the air fryer is going to really take it up
a notch for you. Thank you. Thank you, Fletch, for
that idea. I'm not mad at the steamed corn dog.

Speaker 1 (17:09):
It's so good. All right, so Trader Joe's has them.
They have a turkey corn dog. Also, Vons has. Sometimes
you'll find the nuggets there. Look, my point is everybody
must be eating corn dogs. I don't know where they...
I didn't even realize this was an at-home treat. I
thought I'd go to the fair. To get a corn dog?

Speaker 2 (17:26):
Well, yeah. A singular corn dog? My life has changed.

Speaker 1 (17:29):
So we had a really fun gift that was brought
into us this morning by one of our own, our
very own Fletch. He went to the grocery store last
night and he taste tested some Oreos, some new flavors
that just rolled out off the factory line. And you've
already tried these two new flavors. You're just bringing them

(17:50):
in for us to try? Partly because the one blew
my mind.

Speaker 2 (17:53):
Okay.

Speaker 4 (17:53):
So Kendall, my wife, likes to buy any new flavor
of like Lay's chips or Oreos or anything like that
to do taste tests for her Snapchat friends.

Speaker 2 (18:02):
She is Gen Z to the moon.

Speaker 4 (18:04):
But I usually hate them The chicken and waffles Oreo
kind of blew my mind.

Speaker 2 (18:09):
Okay, so what are the two flavors?

Speaker 4 (18:10):
It's deep fried Oreo like you would get at the fair,
which to me just tasted like an Oreo.

Speaker 2 (18:14):
Maybe you guys have a different feel on it.

Speaker 4 (18:16):
The chicken and waffles Oreo, I don't even want to
tell you guys how good it was. What expectations on
it unfairly?

Speaker 6 (18:24):
There are three new flavors that they put out. You
can vote on them up until October 12th, and then
the winning flavor will be back in 2027, apparently. So
the flavor we're missing is... Banana pudding.

Speaker 2 (18:37):
Yeah, I don't care about banana pudding. Banana pudding is good.
I mean, yeah. Nilla Wafer already has the corner market. Whoa.
Market corner. Look at this.

Speaker 1 (18:45):
So I had no idea how many Oreo flavors there are.
But there are original Oreos, Golden Oreos, Double Stuff, Mega Stuff,
The Most Stuff Oreos, Mint, Peanut Butter, Birthday Cake Oreos,
Java Chip Oreos, Toffee Crunch Oreos, Lemon Oreos, Dark Chocolate Oreos,
Chocolate Cream Double Chocolate Oreos.

Speaker 2 (19:07):
Space Dunk Oreos.

Speaker 1 (19:09):
These are, now I'm getting into more of the popular
limited editions.

Speaker 2 (19:13):
Dirt Cake. Red Velvet. Churro.

Speaker 1 (19:16):
Caramel Coconut Oreos. Apple Cider Donut Oreos. Gingerbread Oreos. Banana
Pudding Oreos, as you mentioned. And then, of course, in
the specialty lines. where it's maybe some dietary things, zero
sugar Oreos, Oreo cake stirs, and gluten-free and Oreo thins.

Speaker 2 (19:32):
Oh, gluten-free.

Speaker 4 (19:34):
If I'm going to be the Somali A of this morning,
the Somali Oreo A, I would say start with the
deep fried.

Speaker 2 (19:39):
Okay.

Speaker 1 (19:40):
All right. Let's maybe play a little Aerosmith. I kind
of feel like we should get something that pairs well
with Oreo. I did have milk with both of those yesterday,
and that helped.

Speaker 8 (19:50):
A lot.

Speaker 1 (19:50):
Let me go see if I could steal milk from
somebody from our company fridge. I would not trust that.

Speaker 2 (19:56):
Milk that's been in there forever? Kat, do you still
have that chocolate milk? I thought you drank it. I did.
We've got Oreos.

Speaker 1 (20:05):
Now, we did find another bottle of Nesquik, but this one,
the aluminum seal was cracked open, so it looked like
somebody had gotten a little handsy with the lid, and
so we're nervous about it.

Speaker 2 (20:18):
So we're going to just raw dog some Oreos. That's fine.

Speaker 6 (20:21):
Have you guys ever had any Oreo that's better than
the original Oreo?

Speaker 2 (20:25):
Double stuffed.

Speaker 8 (20:26):
Well okay sorry you liked more of the stuff than
the cookie.

Speaker 1 (20:29):
The double stuff is i would say the top oreo
it's the correct oreo yeah that's the one so these
two new oreo flavors uh is the deep fried oreo
and the chicken and waffles oreo they also have a
limited time uh banana pudding oreo as well now you
didn't you didn't find the banana pudding or or didn't
want the banana pudding.

Speaker 2 (20:50):
I'll be honest, I was in the car. Kendall did
the shopping. I was on the phone. Okay.

Speaker 1 (20:54):
But these are the three, and apparently you can vote
on them per fletch. So if you're into that sort
of thing, go for it. In the meantime, we're just
going to taste test these two flavors available to us
on air and let you know what we think of them.

Speaker 2 (21:05):
So the deep fried, is that what we're going to
do first?

Speaker 1 (21:07):
Yes.

Speaker 6 (21:07):
It has golden cookie, I suppose. It's not the original
Oreo chocolate cookie. In the inside, there looks to be
some of the Oreo filling, and then... It looks like
a chocolate, but I think that's the deep fried filling.

Speaker 2 (21:20):
I think so. All right.

Speaker 8 (21:22):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (21:23):
You think that's a deep fry? I think the outside
is supposed to be the deep fry. Oh, is that
what it's supposed to be?

Speaker 1 (21:27):
The inside is the Oreo chocolate. Oh, and the inside
is supposed to taste like Oreo.

Speaker 2 (21:30):
Got it. Got it. Uh-huh. What are our thoughts? Tastes
a lot like the deep fried Oreo at the fair. Oh, really? Mm-hmm.

Speaker 1 (21:39):
Okay.

Speaker 2 (21:39):
I've never had it at the fair.

Speaker 1 (21:42):
I'm going to tell you right now, maybe it's been
a while since I've had an Oreo. That tastes just
like a regular old Oreo. That just tastes like an Oreo.
Kind of tastes like, there's something vanilla-y on it. The
pancake batter.

Speaker 2 (21:57):
Oh. Oh, is that what they deep fried in? Oh,
you know what? If you just taste the outside of it,
it is kind of a batter-y.

Speaker 1 (22:05):
Huh.

Speaker 2 (22:06):
Interesting. Well done, Oreo. Is it good or bad? No,
deep fried Oreo is good. I like that one last night. Now,
when you say battery, you mean like double A, triple A?
All right, next one. Chicken and waffles. Now, I'll be honest.

Speaker 4 (22:18):
When I saw chicken and waffles, Oreos coming to my house,
I was like, get those things the hell out of here.

Speaker 2 (22:21):
They have a pungent scent. Yeah, they have a nose
of maple. Yeah.

Speaker 6 (22:26):
I will say I do like, again, a golden outside cookie.
On one side, it's the standard Oreo shape, and then
on the other side, a waffle.

Speaker 8 (22:35):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (22:35):
And that nice little squares. I would take a picture
of this and share it with my friends. Much like
a moon?

Speaker 1 (22:41):
Uh-huh.

Speaker 2 (22:42):
I would hold it up to the night sky, though,
as a backdrop. And try to, like, cover the moon
with the Oreo? Mm-hmm. That's exactly what I was thinking.
These are foul. You hate it, TD? My God. You
think it's bad? What the hell is this? So what
they did, and I- Oh my God, I love it. Okay.

Speaker 3 (22:59):
What?

Speaker 2 (22:59):
It tastes like chicken and waffles.

Speaker 1 (23:01):
What I don't like about it is they tried their
hardest to make the Oreo cream taste like chicken.

Speaker 2 (23:08):
It's very odd. And my word. What a mistake it was.
It tastes like fried chicken and waffles. I love it.
I'm going to go.

Speaker 4 (23:17):
Ahead with that.

Speaker 8 (23:17):
Rich and Tini both throwing theirs in the trash. You
could have given it to Fletch. It's apparently his favorite
Oreo ever.

Speaker 2 (23:23):
Not ever. But I do really like it. It is... Man,
if you like creamy chicken... Sometimes, sometimes... That's what I'm
looking for.

Speaker 6 (23:34):
Out of 10, that's an actual zero to me.

Speaker 2 (23:40):
I wouldn't even give that a point. I will give it,
because just look at me. I'll give it a five.

Speaker 5 (23:46):
Wow!

Speaker 2 (23:46):
My God feels about right to me. I was kind
of blown away by this.

Speaker 1 (23:51):
I would give it a five, meaning if somebody had
given me a plate of those and I didn't want
to be rude, I'd get through it. I wouldn't enjoy it,
but I'd get through it, and I'd walk out and say, man,
you know, they're just.

Speaker 2 (24:02):
Really into.

Speaker 1 (24:03):
The worst Oreo flavor ever, but any Oreos better than
no Oreos, I guess. If I brought that package home,
I'd open it up. I would take one small bite like.

Speaker 6 (24:11):
I just did, and I would throw that entire package
away immediately.

Speaker 1 (24:15):
I know what would happen in my house. Those, I
would have one or two of them be like, man,
I just, I can't get over that. chicken texture and
flavor on the cream. I'd put it in the bottom
of the pantry and it would just.

Speaker 4 (24:28):
We'll pull it out in 2032. Do you not like
chicken and waffles? I do like chicken and waffles. I
feel like they nailed the flavor. However, I will say this.
It's always confused me.

Speaker 1 (24:38):
Every single time I see someone eating.

Speaker 2 (24:40):
I'm.

Speaker 1 (24:40):
Like, you're just taking two separate things that are good
and you're putting them together for no reason at all.

Speaker 2 (24:47):
That's what I feel like.

Speaker 1 (24:48):
Chicken and waffles at our wedding. Chicken and waffles are
very mediocre to me. I do not need them. It
looks amazing. You're blowing my mind right now. I'd like
to have fried chicken.

Speaker 2 (24:59):
I do. I mean, give me a pile. By the way,
I love waffles. I'm fine with waffles. I would rather
if you just put them in separate dishes. Yeah.

Speaker 1 (25:06):
And then I'll just enjoy my chickens and then my
waffles or vice versa.

Speaker 2 (25:09):
At two different times of the day.

Speaker 9 (25:10):
1 0 1 5 KGB trending.

Speaker 6 (25:15):
With TD 7 33. That is the time that you
want to lock in. Cause that's the time you want
to start calling. If you want to win guns and roses,
take it 7 33 on the dot. We're going to
take caller number 10 and pumpkin spice, pumpkin spice back in,
in everywhere. I was going to say back at Starbucks. However,
I mean, pumpkin spice.

Speaker 1 (25:33):
Is in everything.

Speaker 2 (25:34):
It's in whatever, maple syrup or donuts or coffee. They
do add it to everything. Everything.

Speaker 6 (25:40):
Well, Google is saying for the first time in 20 years.
pumpkin spice searches are not up year over year.

Speaker 8 (25:50):
Well, think about why it's 98 degrees outside.

Speaker 2 (25:54):
Nobody's thinking about fall right now. That was a good point.
I had a PSL the other day. It was great.
You did what? You got one? Yeah. Right as it
came out?

Speaker 1 (26:03):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (26:03):
The second day it was out? Oh my gosh.

Speaker 1 (26:06):
And it's so funny that 98 sounds like really hot,
but when you think about it, that is our internal
body temp.

Speaker 2 (26:12):
Yeah. In fact, if it was 98 degrees, It should
feel 0.6 cooler.

Speaker 1 (26:18):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (26:19):
Well, it doesn't. It feels like hotter than hell outside.
Maybe it's all of these. I rebuke that. Yeah, I
rebuke that. Clothes that we wear, I think we should
just take them off. Yeah, like now you would. Get
out into nature. Touch grass.

Speaker 8 (26:30):
Fletch, did you go and get a pumpkin spice latte
on your own? Or did you and your wife go?

Speaker 2 (26:35):
I was told to go. Oh, you got them for
you and your wife, Kendall. Correct. Got it. I got
an iced one, though. It was quite nice. Oh, I've
never had an iced PSL. Quite nice. Wow. Quite nice.
Quite nice is the review. Spider-Man, brand new day.

Speaker 1 (26:47):
Also quite nice at the box office because it's just
about ready to sink Titanic from the all-time top five
grossing movies ever.

Speaker 2 (26:56):
Too soon, dude. The sinking?

Speaker 8 (26:59):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (27:00):
Why?

Speaker 2 (27:00):
There's still people who are upset about it? It's a travesty. Tragedy.

Speaker 4 (27:04):
You're talking about the Titanic? Yeah, he said the sink,
the Titanic. It's too soon to make a joke about that.

Speaker 5 (27:09):
All right.

Speaker 2 (27:10):
It's 1920. It's like 100 plus years.

Speaker 1 (27:12):
Yeah, that's what I'm saying.

Speaker 2 (27:16):
Do you have a cousin? Right, right, right. Jack and
Rose and all the good people.

Speaker 6 (27:21):
It did sink in, what, 97? Yeah, that's right. Well,
it's about to pass it. There's about $ 44 million away,
so it could pass it this weekend. However, last weekend...
It grossed $ 39 million here domestically, so it may take
about a week and a half, and then Spider-Man will
be number five for the all-time most whatever movie ever.

Speaker 2 (27:39):
Pretty crazy. Pretty crazy.

Speaker 1 (27:41):
Biggest box office ever grossing it. Well, let me ask
this question. Is James Cameron still up on that board
with Avatar?

Speaker 2 (27:50):
Yeah. Yeah. That's the tip top. Yeah. Tippy, tippy top.

Speaker 1 (27:53):
I don't think that'll ever be unseated unless inflation continues
to just pound us. Right, right.

Speaker 7 (27:58):
Yeah.

Speaker 6 (27:58):
Apple is set to host its next Worldwide Developers Conference
on September 9th, where it's expected to unveil its newest
iPhone series.

Speaker 1 (28:07):
That would be the iPhone 18 and potentially the foldable iPhone.

Speaker 2 (28:12):
That's the one. That's the one.

Speaker 6 (28:15):
And also CEO John Ternes. This will be his first
major event. He takes over as CEO as of September 1st.
That's when Tim Cook steps down. So they're going to
announce so many things.

Speaker 2 (28:26):
Oh, there's no doubt. To pump him up.

Speaker 1 (28:30):
And I'm curious about the foldable technology. I also, I
can't wait to see which one of these leading phone
making brands, whether it's Apple or Samsung. starts meeting people
where they are, because there's a lot of people who
are going on social media fasts, and there's a lot
of people who are stepping away from high-powered smartphones in
their pockets because of the distraction it brings to their life.
One of these companies is going to make an absolute

(28:53):
killing on a smaller, like, very secure phone where it's just, hey,
you got buttons to dial the numbers, you have contact lists,
you have text messaging.

Speaker 2 (29:02):
Yeah, you can maybe text, right? No appability. But you're
not going to be getting on the internet and surfing
the web. I mean, they have those.

Speaker 3 (29:07):
If Apple does.

Speaker 2 (29:08):
No, I know, but I'm saying not one of the
major phone carriers. It's called the Jitterbug. How about the Razr?
You guys remember the Razr? The Razr was awesome. God,
that phone was sick.

Speaker 8 (29:16):
Speaking of a foldable phone, think of how fun that was.
If you wanted to hang up on somebody, you just
slam it shut.

Speaker 1 (29:23):
You made that snapping sound. But I don't think that's
how it works. It's not like that. It unfolds into
a tablet.

Speaker 2 (29:30):
Yeah, and if you try to shut it too fast,
you'll break the screen. You need to sign up for
Apple Care. I want a razor again.

Speaker 6 (29:36):
Maybe i can't see any reason i would want this
i don't know why i would i would want this
in my life.

Speaker 1 (29:41):
I'm curious i don't know if i'd want it either
we'll see you are 30 seconds away from needing to
call this number 888-570-1015 if you want to go see
guns and roses you're winning your tickets right now to
see them in the black rose at snapdragon stadium.

Speaker 2 (29:57):
September 2nd show. Who knows?

Speaker 1 (29:59):
You might run into Kat. You might run into TD.
You might run into them together at the show, but
you need to call now.

Speaker 2 (30:05):
888-570-1015.

Speaker 1 (30:06):
Chula Vista Joe, who got his hands on those Guns N'
Roses tickets.

Speaker 2 (30:11):
Now, Chula Vista Joe also.

Speaker 1 (30:14):
met us over at the premiere for jackass, uh, best
and last or last and best, whichever one that we premiered, uh, TD.
That was what a month and a half ago, two
months ago.

Speaker 2 (30:24):
I guess so. That was a lot of fun. That
was a lot of fun. Cool meeting everybody there. That
was awesome. I hate this.

Speaker 1 (30:30):
Okay. So tell me if this happens to you guys
and I know it probably happens to TD. I've talked
to him about this, but Fletch, you cat, you, does
it ever happen to you where you start crying in
an inappropriate moment and and you feel like.

Speaker 2 (30:45):
Oh, my God, I look like such a loser.

Speaker 1 (30:49):
Like somebody's going to be concerned for me, and I
don't want.

Speaker 2 (30:52):
Them to be. I don't like crying out in front
of the masses, and it does happen a lot. So
it happens to you a good amount?

Speaker 1 (30:58):
Uh-huh.

Speaker 2 (30:59):
Oh, my gosh.

Speaker 1 (31:00):
It happens to me more often than I care to share,
but Fletch, does it happen to you?

Speaker 4 (31:06):
You're not really an emotional guy. I mean, at a
movie theater every once in a while— But it's never
the sad parts of the movie. It's like when it's
like the team comes together, you know, like I can't
watch Miracle on Ice without crying.

Speaker 2 (31:15):
Oh, like you're inspired.

Speaker 4 (31:17):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (31:17):
It's the inspiration tears.

Speaker 4 (31:19):
But like sad tears, like when Rich cries every 10 seconds,
I want to kick him.

Speaker 2 (31:23):
So we're at the jackass premiere. You cried at the
jackass premiere?

Speaker 8 (31:27):
Yes.

Speaker 2 (31:27):
Yes. Was it at the very beginning of it?

Speaker 1 (31:30):
So the beginning got me a little bit where I'm like, ooh,
I better control myself because I could feel the nostalgia emotions.

Speaker 2 (31:37):
That's what happened to me. Oh, wow. Lump in my throat. Yeah.
So through the whole beginning. When they're going through the old, old.

Speaker 4 (31:43):
Videos and bam shows up at the beginning and that
that got me.

Speaker 1 (31:46):
Well and ryan dunn who had passed away you know
like if you watched the show jackass growing up it
would mean something to you if you didn't if this
was a one-off for you it would mean nothing.

Speaker 6 (31:56):
To you but it wasn't well right and it wasn't
just watching it for the show yeah it all of
a sudden brought me back and i was thinking about
all the things i was doing at the time that
show was popular Yeah.

Speaker 2 (32:07):
So it takes you back to that time period. Yeah,
it does.

Speaker 1 (32:11):
It's sort of being in like a hot tub time
machine a little bit where you're like, oh my gosh,
I was this age when this season of Jackass was
out and I was doing these things.

Speaker 7 (32:20):
Right.

Speaker 1 (32:21):
Or I was hanging out with these friends. Oh, I
should call that guy. You get these weird emotions. So anyways,
end of the movie's coming. And like Johnny Knoxville gets
choked up in front of the gang and they're talking
about how this is probably the last one, you know?

Speaker 4 (32:35):
Oh, yeah.

Speaker 1 (32:36):
And the movie is hysterical and stupid from start to finish.

Speaker 2 (32:41):
It's just them slamming into things.

Speaker 1 (32:43):
Or getting it mauled by, you know, bulls in a
ring or all the things that or it's gross, gross, gross.

Speaker 2 (32:49):
Yeah. Or full frontal male nudity.

Speaker 1 (32:51):
Like it was horrifying and hysterical.

Speaker 2 (32:54):
The robot exam.

Speaker 5 (32:55):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (32:56):
Oh, the robot prostate exam. That was also very funny.

Speaker 1 (33:01):
But all these things happen during the course of the movie,
but then I find myself legitimately in tears to the
point where I'm sitting next to one of TD's kids, Caleb,
and I'm thinking to myself, oh my gosh. I'm like,
if he looks over and he sees Uncle Rich just completely–
I was in a puddle.

Speaker 2 (33:18):
He'll never think of me. So I kind of peek
out of.

Speaker 1 (33:21):
The corner of my eye at Caleb and– Caleb is
just staring dead at you.

Speaker 2 (33:27):
Yeah, he's trying to see if I'm crying. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
And you were, TD?

Speaker 6 (33:30):
I don't know if a tear actually rolled down my face,
but it probably got close. I mean, I'll just say
things and I'll start crying.

Speaker 4 (33:38):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (33:38):
Yeah, that's true.

Speaker 1 (33:40):
I don't know what's wrong with me. There's a certain
W word. If you say it around TV, it's days over.

Speaker 3 (33:44):
I know.

Speaker 4 (33:45):
We don't say that word. I almost tried to bring
him up, and I couldn't do it. We also can't
watch the movie Cast Away ever again.

Speaker 2 (33:50):
For the listeners that don't know that we're talking about
your dog of the past. My puppy dog. Yeah, my
puppy dog.

Speaker 6 (33:59):
He passed away about a year and a half ago,
and I have not gone and sought out therapy, but
it probably should help.

Speaker 8 (34:05):
Yeah, TD, I think we get free sessions a year.

Speaker 2 (34:10):
Through our health insurance.

Speaker 8 (34:11):
Yeah, so you should tap into that before the year ends.

Speaker 1 (34:14):
I feel like we should all pool up and just
give TD all of ours.

Speaker 2 (34:18):
That's what I'm saying. I would do eight in a day.

Speaker 1 (34:23):
Yeah, I mean, well, you got 32 coming your way
because you can have ours.

Speaker 2 (34:27):
No, mine are gone. Oh, God. I needed mine. Did
it help? Didn't even make a dent.

Speaker 8 (34:35):
I'm waiting for 2027 to get another eight.

Speaker 2 (34:38):
Did you have to use those when you started working
with us? Actually, I did use some right when I
started working with the three of you. That's really good.
That stings.

Speaker 1 (34:48):
Well, speaking of Caleb Dale, TD's youngest son and his sister,
I have a way for you guys to empty out
your house because Tyler, Tyler, your oldest son, he moved away.

Speaker 2 (35:01):
His wings grew strong and he flew the nest. He
flew the nest. Right. The other two have hung out.
I've got a plan for you. Okay. It's coming up.
They go again on their own. TD's remaining two children
living with him.

Speaker 1 (35:15):
He's got two kids in their 20s, and he has been,
and his wife, Sarah, slowly intimating to them that maybe
it's time to leave.

Speaker 7 (35:25):
Well, yeah.

Speaker 2 (35:26):
I mean, whenever they're ready to fly. Maybe it's in August.
I don't know. Who knows? This month? It's four days left. Yeah,
August ends in a couple days.

Speaker 8 (35:37):
TV, do you feel like your house would be too
big for you once your kids move out?

Speaker 2 (35:42):
No.

Speaker 7 (35:43):
Why?

Speaker 2 (35:43):
So much more room for activity. It's a three-bedroom house, right?

Speaker 1 (35:47):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (35:47):
Yeah, my wife and I live in a three-bedroom house
by ourselves.

Speaker 1 (35:50):
It's perfect. I mean, I feel like a couple thousand
square feet is fine. You know, I'm going to say this.
I think that Cat, unfortunately... You're going to have to
take the hit here.

Speaker 2 (36:04):
What? You're going to have to marry Caleb Dale. Okay.
Arranged marriage. He eats so many hot dogs so fast. Yeah,
that's true. We have seen him do it.

Speaker 1 (36:13):
So we know Caleb, and we know him extremely well,
and he's a kind man. And he is a handsome boy.
And he is really smart. Like, very clever. I text
with him all the time. He comes up with the
funniest jokes.

Speaker 2 (36:28):
And he's an investor. Also, he likes going to rap concerts.

Speaker 1 (36:32):
He does.

Speaker 2 (36:32):
I'm just saying. He does like that. Can you imagine
if TD was my father-in-law? Yes. In fact, I love it.
I'm going to hate the holidays. Here's the problem. Now,
my plan is for Caleb Dale. Hang on.

Speaker 1 (36:45):
I'm going to text him right now and say she's
going to show you the world. Text Caleb. Explain what
that means also, maybe. Yeah, yeah, yeah. And then, so
Caleb and Kat get married. They move in together, but
then Kat's like such a cool sister-in-law that Hayley wants
to move in too.

Speaker 2 (37:02):
Oh, my gosh. I mean, oh, no. That would be insane. Incredible. Amazing. Okay,
you guys. This is maybe the worst idea you've ever had.

Speaker 3 (37:13):
No, no, no.

Speaker 1 (37:14):
We've had plenty of worse ideas. So Hayley's going to
come with two cats.

Speaker 2 (37:19):
She has two cats? Yeah. I thought those were your
family cats.

Speaker 6 (37:22):
Well, I'm assuming they'd be.

Speaker 2 (37:24):
Attached to her. You're hoping that when your daughter moves
out that she'll take the cats? I mean, I like
the cats. I don't like a cat litter box. No, no, no, no, no, no.
But she'll bring that with her, too. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
That's cool.

Speaker 8 (37:33):
My cats don't want to interact with other cats. They're...
not really friendly in that way.

Speaker 2 (37:39):
Cat, pretty sad.

Speaker 4 (37:40):
Cat, look like two years down the line, you're going
to have a baby that looks just like TD.

Speaker 2 (37:43):
Oh my gosh. If I already wasn't all the way out,
now I'm fully all the way out. You'll have a
child of his kin. That doesn't hurt at all. Sarah's
listening too.

Speaker 8 (37:51):
My kid is TD's grandkid. Oh my gosh.

Speaker 2 (37:56):
Grandpa TD. Papa. Papa. Papa. Oh wait, you know what's actually...
Can I come play arcade games? This is a terrible plan.
You want to know why?

Speaker 3 (38:05):
Why?

Speaker 2 (38:06):
Cat's going to move in with you. Oh, no. Now
we're talking. Oh, God. We're going to eat. Free rent.
It's been a long week, and the fellas are thirsty. Scott, Scott, Scott.
Air goes down, down into my belly. It's time to
cruise into the weekend. Big Rich TD and Fletch present
Bar Card Friday. Brought to you by Keg and Bottle.

Speaker 7 (38:29):
With the best selection of bourbon, whiskey, tequila, private section bottles,
and more.

Speaker 2 (38:33):
My problem is I drink too much, way too much.
I got my doctor a urine specimen. It was an olive. Now,
let's pour some drink.

Speaker 1 (38:39):
Yes, let's pour some drinks indeed, and that's precisely what
our old friend Sean is doing now with Heaven's Door.

Speaker 2 (38:47):
Good morning, Sean.

Speaker 1 (38:49):
Heaven's Door whiskey in the house on this Bar Cart Friday.

Speaker 2 (38:53):
Thank you for coming in.

Speaker 1 (38:54):
Thank you for already getting yourself set up so quickly. Normally,
we do our Bar Cart Friday at 9 o'clock, but
there's flights to catch. There's business to do. And we
weren't going to skip it.

Speaker 2 (39:08):
Oh, no.

Speaker 1 (39:08):
Yeah. they were like well maybe we'll just have a
bye week we're like no no.

Speaker 8 (39:13):
That would be push it up we can start as
early as 6 a.m yeah yeah.

Speaker 2 (39:17):
I was like did you pull a hamstring or something.

Speaker 1 (39:21):
Yeah we're doing it um so uh sean good morning
thank you for joining us You've gotten to quick work
here as you've spilled out some whiskey. But before we
get to tasting and you giving us some tasting notes
on the first pour, how.

Speaker 2 (39:36):
Are you doing? How did you start working with Heaven's Door?

Speaker 7 (39:40):
Yeah, so Spirit Investment Partners brought me on board about
three months ago to run the Western United States and
to do all national on-premise And off-premise accounts across the country.

Speaker 2 (39:51):
Right on.

Speaker 1 (39:51):
Well, I mean, Heaven's Door, if you don't know, it's
kind of a square bottle.

Speaker 2 (39:56):
You've seen it in the stores because they're everywhere.

Speaker 1 (39:59):
Obviously, Keg and Bottle is where you go, but anywhere
you go that liquor is sold, you'll see this whiskey.
And I was just saying to the guys, and I
mentioned it to you, there have been so many times
where I've had the bottle in my hand and.

Speaker 2 (40:11):
Didn't pull the trigger. You know what I mean? Because
it's like sometimes you go with the known rather than
the unknown. I've never tasted it before.

Speaker 1 (40:17):
So- I'm so glad you're here because now I don't
have to be gun shy anymore.

Speaker 2 (40:22):
We're going to be sipping on it at eight o'clock.

Speaker 1 (40:24):
In the morning.

Speaker 2 (40:25):
You've saved our life. Oh, we're cracking cans too. Cracking cans. Okay.
All right. I like this a lot. Now this is,
which one are we sipping here? So the first one
we're sipping on is the Ascension. So everything in the
Heaven's Door lineup has a little godly theme to it.

Speaker 7 (40:40):
So we're going to be going through the Ascension and
the Revelation this morning. And then we're going to get
into a little cast strength. Ooh, put some hair on
that chest.

Speaker 2 (40:49):
Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah.

Speaker 7 (40:51):
And then we're going to wrap it up with a
little bit of the lucky bastard from Rare Hair.

Speaker 2 (40:55):
Okay, okay. Am I allowed to say that word online? Yeah.

Speaker 1 (40:59):
That's FCC correct. As long as it's a proper noun.

Speaker 2 (41:03):
Yeah, we've been saying that Fletch needs more chest hair. What? Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Too much. I think his beard's growing down into his
chest hair, actually. His chest hair is his beard.

Speaker 1 (41:14):
Much like the moon yesterday, we want a total eclipse
of your nipples.

Speaker 2 (41:19):
Not just 90%.

Speaker 8 (41:20):
We get a total eclipse of his nipples most days.

Speaker 2 (41:23):
Cheers, let's drink. All right, here we go. A little sip. Mm-hmm, mm-hmm. Mm-mm-mm.
I like that a lot. Ooh, that's pretty smooth, man. Wow, wow, wow.
Well done, Sean. Man, that's shocking.

Speaker 7 (41:36):
I had nothing to do with that.

Speaker 2 (41:40):
I'm just here representing.

Speaker 7 (41:41):
But the master blender, Alex, with us is incredible, doing
such an amazing job with our whiskeys.

Speaker 1 (41:49):
Whoa.

Speaker 2 (41:49):
And our master distiller, Kim Pierce, as well.

Speaker 7 (41:52):
I mean, we're really staged for the next direction across
the U.S. because a lot of people know. Bourbon is
in doom and gloom, but we are not. We're ascending
with Ascension.

Speaker 2 (42:05):
I like that. I like that.

Speaker 7 (42:07):
And that's the direction. We're looking for those opportunities. And
Tony Kagan Bottle. Tony, love you, buddy. We're doing some
cool things with him and Kagan Bottle. We're just about
ready to re-release a single barrel option with them.

Speaker 2 (42:23):
That's going to be coming out to the market. That's awesome.
Go online.

Speaker 7 (42:26):
Look up K & B Bourbon Pursuit. There's going to
be a deal hitting up this next week that's going
to be a phenomenal deal. A two-bottle deal at a
great price.

Speaker 2 (42:35):
You can't beat it. I love it. I love it
a lot.

Speaker 1 (42:38):
KegTheLetterAndBottle.com is the website to go to. And also, remember,
we got the holiday season coming up. You're going to
be starting to make some Thanksgiving plans. Christmas is really
just around the corner as everybody readies for Halloween. You
know what it looks like come the fall. It's just
a home sprint. So you can get bottles engraved at

(42:58):
kegandbottle.com as well.

Speaker 2 (43:00):
That's a good one. It's got some real estate. Yeah,
it does.

Speaker 1 (43:03):
This is going to be a fun show. It's going
to be a tricky show. Yeah, it was a heavy pour.
Tricky whiskey at 8 a.m. on a bar card Friday.
It's a bar card Friday here on Big Rich TD
and Fletch. Brought to you by Keg and Bottle. Tony Conja, owner,
operator of those 11 locations. or I should say 10
locations of keg and bottles all throughout San Diego County,

(43:24):
is not with us, but Sean from Heaven's Door Whiskey is. Now, Sean,
you have poured us two different whiskeys and... The first one,
they're so different. They're so different. The first one, Ascension,
was that almost like burnt caramel, delicious, full-bodied whiskey. The
revelation that you just poured, I said to you as

(43:47):
I smelled it, it's got almost like apples on the nose.

Speaker 2 (43:51):
It felt the same thing. It felt like fall to me. Yeah, yeah. Okay.
Maybe I'm just looking forward to it. Better than a
pumpkin spice latte, TD, because I know you're a big fan. Much,
much better. I'm not a big fan of pumpkin spice
for riches. And Fletch's too.

Speaker 1 (44:08):
I'm a basic girl. I really like my pumpkin loaf.
I like my pumpkin spice latte. I like pumpkin spice
coffee creamer.

Speaker 2 (44:16):
This is real nice. Sean, is there a pumpkin spice
bourbon or whiskey you have?

Speaker 7 (44:21):
No, but I am making some pumpkin cocktails right now.

Speaker 2 (44:24):
This is not them, though. We're going in a different direction.

Speaker 7 (44:29):
So this, what we were tasting is the Heaven's Door Revelation.

Speaker 2 (44:35):
It's our hunter proof.

Speaker 7 (44:36):
It's a double barreled whiskey. So two macerated bourbons and
a rye whiskey blended together. This is one of our
finished products. So finishing is a technique that they use
to round out the flavors. So you're here, you're smelling
different flavors in there. It's hidden in the second barrel
that's coming out. And the cool thing is every single

(44:58):
one of us will have different notes. I'm never going
to sit there and say, you should taste this. You're like,
I don't taste that. It's like, okay, well, that's the
way it should be.

Speaker 1 (45:07):
It could be like whatever you had for breakfast or
if you had a sip of coffee before you started,
you know, whatever it is. Or, you know, I'm thinking
about morning foods, but like what it's paired with, whether
you're pairing it with steak or maybe you're having apple
pie with your whiskey, that's going to change. drastically how
your whiskey tastes.

Speaker 2 (45:24):
Do we have apple pie? I will say this.

Speaker 1 (45:29):
This kid over here was in center field.

Speaker 2 (45:33):
Looking around everywhere. Just hoping for apple pie. TD, where's
the ball? I was like, no, that cloud looks like
a dragon, not a ball. It's round.

Speaker 1 (45:44):
I'm also going to say when we sipped on this,
I thought, oh, this is a hundred dollar bottle.

Speaker 7 (45:49):
Easy.

Speaker 6 (45:50):
Keg the letter n bottle.com it's 45.99 oh wow incredible
it's incredible price point yeah.

Speaker 4 (45:56):
And there's something coming special next week that's gonna drop that.

Speaker 7 (46:00):
Yeah we're actually re-releasing um one of tony's and bourbon
pursuits uh cast strength bourbons whoa that is priced around
99.99 so it's super elite however it's gonna be a
two bottle combo tony let's get this done uh Shout
out to Tony Conta with Keg, K-E-G, K-E-G and bottle.

Speaker 2 (46:24):
Yeah, that's right. I'm learning. I'm learning. Getting there. Getting there.
There you go. You added to our revelation.

Speaker 1 (46:31):
You added a little bit of the Bundaberg lemonade and
then you dropped. a peeled peach wedge in it, which
I thought was really interesting. I've never had a cocktail
that simply made directly into the glass I was drinking
because you're like, ah, just sip it down until you
have basically a shot left. And then I'm going to
doctor it up a little bit.

Speaker 7 (46:51):
So one of the things I look at is like
when people make a drink, usually they taste it cold, right?

Speaker 2 (46:56):
Well, when something's cold, what does your skin do? It
shrivels up.

Speaker 7 (46:59):
But when you taste it warm, it actually lets all
the esters in. And you're like, wow, I see where
it should be. You heard that, right?

Speaker 2 (47:06):
I did hear that.

Speaker 7 (47:08):
So this would actually give you so you know what
you're going to taste, whether you want more peach, whether
you want to muddle that peach, or you just want
it simple. Because a lot of people don't like what
strawberry to you can be strawberry different.

Speaker 2 (47:21):
To all of us, right?

Speaker 7 (47:22):
But that's what's cool is that you can make it
your own way. And I just dropped a little bit
of the Bundaberg lemonade in there, a peach, just did
a whiskey lemonade cocktail with a little fresh peach in there.

Speaker 2 (47:33):
If you build it over ice, it's going to be
even better.

Speaker 1 (47:38):
I also, you may have changed my mind about a
cocktail needing ice also.

Speaker 2 (47:45):
You know, it's fine just wet. And honestly, I don't
even think I need a glass. Hey, Sean, could you
just start pouring those ingredients in my mouth? We're going
to do laybacks? I didn't even know that, Nate! You
know what? Honestly, yeah. Hold my hair! This is awesome.

Speaker 1 (48:10):
Okay, so we tried the Ascension from Heaven's Door. We
have now gone the path to Revelation.

Speaker 2 (48:16):
Let me see this. We're passing around. Look at this bottle.
It's a nice bottle. That's beautiful. I like it a lot.
Very decorative. Very kind of art deco.

Speaker 7 (48:27):
So the whole tagline for us is like, it's not
in the ingredients. It's actually what you do with them.
And that's what we're really doing. We're finding out what
America's palette really is. As a company, we've taken a
lot of the perspective and said, how can we be
better to our customers? We've lowered our TPRs or SRPs

(48:47):
across the country, our final cost to consumer.

Speaker 2 (48:51):
And we're really looking for the next stages.

Speaker 7 (48:53):
Which is an amazing position to be in because now
people can be like, Oh, I remember that brand, and
I loved it.

Speaker 2 (48:59):
I'm going to go back to it. I thought SRP
stood for solo role play, where I dress up as
my favorite Street Fighter character.

Speaker 3 (49:06):
It does.

Speaker 4 (49:06):
And my wife kicks me out. But Sean's talking about
Terps and Serps.

Speaker 3 (49:10):
What?

Speaker 2 (49:11):
TRPs and SRPs. Is that turtles? No, Terps and Serps.
Terps and Serps. And you know what? Hang on, because
on the other side, we're going to tell you exactly
what those are. Yeah. And if you don't know, you're
going to want to know.

Speaker 1 (49:24):
At exactly 836, we're giving away Guns N' Roses tickets. So, heck,
I mean, if you like Heaven's Door whiskey, you're going
to be knocking on Heaven's Door pretty soon here.

Speaker 5 (49:35):
1015 KGB.

Speaker 1 (49:38):
Huge congratulations to Tyler from Crown Point going to Guns N'
Roses next Wednesday.

Speaker 2 (49:43):
We're going to win. Win it all. He won it all.

Speaker 1 (49:47):
Actually, he didn't win it all because Joe from Chula
Vista earlier today won Guns N' Roses tickets also.

Speaker 2 (49:52):
He did win our last pair. That's true. So we
have more, but they're with Clint. 4 o'clock and 5
o'clock today. Unless we give away Clint's.

Speaker 1 (50:05):
That's a good point, which we can do, and we've
been known to do that in the past.

Speaker 2 (50:09):
We cannot do that. We've accidentally done it in the past.
Clint will not be happy if we do that again.
We are still here, though.

Speaker 1 (50:17):
They didn't fire us for that small, small error where
we gave away seven or eight pairs of tickets to
a concert, and Clint had none.

Speaker 2 (50:26):
That's right. That's right.

Speaker 6 (50:27):
Our legal department not enthused.

Speaker 2 (50:30):
No, no.

Speaker 1 (50:30):
As a matter of fact, after that day, we got into, well,
it was really Fletch, got into a shouting match with Legal.

Speaker 2 (50:38):
They fired all.

Speaker 1 (50:38):
Of them because they said, well, it's either Fletch or them. Yeah,
you don't talk to Fletch that way. He had his
shirt off, raised his voice. All right, so Heaven's Door
Whiskey is in studio with us. Sean, who's the West
Coast rep, he literally is hopping on a plane flying.
Immediately following the show, he's an important man in this business,

(51:00):
and he's going to be going to a festival in
Colorado coming up here shortly to continue to share the
goods and wares of this delicious whiskey brand.

Speaker 2 (51:11):
Peddling your snake oil.

Speaker 1 (51:13):
Has Porta's a snifter of the exploration.

Speaker 2 (51:18):
The next decade? expression of heaven's door that we're going
to try together tell us a little bit about this
one so.

Speaker 7 (51:24):
This uh the backbones on this is a tennessee whiskey
um it sent the directive off of this this has
two different positions um there is a tennessee whiskey that's
in our lineup it's called revival This is actually the
cask strength.

Speaker 2 (51:38):
So this comes out not proofed down. It's at 108%. Whoa.

Speaker 1 (51:41):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (51:42):
You can feel it down in your lungs. Just kidding.
For the morning. I sweetened you up, and now I'm
giving it to you hard.

Speaker 1 (51:51):
It's a lot. Exploration is going to remove it.

Speaker 2 (51:56):
These men love that.

Speaker 1 (51:58):
A little exploration of my own.

Speaker 2 (52:03):
If you could.

Speaker 7 (52:04):
See the smile on her face right now when she
said that, it was classic.

Speaker 2 (52:09):
I like to close my eyes when I exploration.

Speaker 7 (52:13):
So this is exploration number one. That's the first in
our series. Number two is not out yet. This is
actually finished in a Calvados casket. which is simply like
an apple brandy. So it has, this is a two sipper.
So the first sip, you're going to get the burn.
You're going to get the heat. And then it's going
to make you like salivate, which means.

Speaker 1 (52:33):
When you go to.

Speaker 2 (52:37):
A restaurant, what do you do?

Speaker 7 (52:39):
You order food, restaurant, newers out there, the restaurant owners.

Speaker 2 (52:44):
Buy Exploration.

Speaker 7 (52:44):
It'll make your customers drink more. Or if you're at home,
go buy it a keg and bottle.

Speaker 2 (52:51):
And it's finished.

Speaker 7 (52:52):
But at 108 proof, this is so stinking good.

Speaker 2 (52:56):
It really is. It doesn't burn. No, it doesn't at all.
Because I'm drunk, Sean.

Speaker 1 (53:03):
No, it really, oddly enough, just tasting the three of them,
I don't want to say it's the smoothest.

Speaker 2 (53:10):
It's a different character. It's there. It's a nice, nice.
It is a slow. burn yeah it yeah it comes
on later.

Speaker 1 (53:21):
It warms you up as you go that's a really
really nice tasting whiskey now what's the what's the price
point on that at retail if you go to keg
the letter n bottle.com td and check it.

Speaker 6 (53:32):
Out well i would have to have internet service we're
just we're just stuck should be anywhere between 74.99.

Speaker 2 (53:36):
And 69.99 That's actually reasonable.

Speaker 7 (53:43):
For cash strength, it's actually in a really good position.
But the cool thing is, like I said, we've been
very listening to our consumers. This price point is actually
coming down in the marketplace.

Speaker 2 (53:57):
Oh, wow. So, wink, wink, Tony.

Speaker 9 (53:59):
Buy some more exploration. Get a lower SRP. Topping SRPs again.
There's the Terps and Serps. Terps and Serps. Yeah, Terrapins
and Serapins.

Speaker 2 (54:13):
There you go.

Speaker 4 (54:14):
Yep.

Speaker 7 (54:15):
And you should be aware of both of them. This
is actually my favorite in our lineup. One of the
reasons why is because I can proof it down to
what I want. So when you put ice in it,
water is going to displace the liquid and you can
kind of get it where you want it. Sometimes when
whiskeys are at 80 proof, we were talking about another
brand earlier, Fletch, that you were drinking last night. When

(54:35):
it gets down, it's like in the 70s. So it's
like water with a little bit of whiskey.

Speaker 2 (54:40):
Yeah, honestly. Whiskey with a little bit of water. You
drink a little ocean water out of the Pacific. That's
70 proof.

Speaker 1 (54:47):
Especially when the curd comes up from Tijuana.

Speaker 2 (54:52):
When it's gooey duck season.

Speaker 4 (54:53):
So it does look like on kegandbottle.com right now, you
can get all three of them combined for less than
200 bucks, which feels like a steal. Wow.

Speaker 2 (55:01):
Yeah, that's... His bottle deals are amazing.

Speaker 7 (55:04):
The one that's not dropped yet will be, if you
look at Kagan Bottle Bourbon Pursuit Fetch, that bottle will
have another bottle coming with.

Speaker 2 (55:12):
It for $ 99. Oh, man. Two bottle deals, $ 50 a bottle.
Bada boom, bada bing. Here we go. It's rolling. I'm sorry.
But guys, don't wait. Buy it all now as well. Yeah, yeah.
You want to get two. One to rock, one to stock.
That's what we learned. Wait, is Tony in the building?
Because that's what Tony would say.

Speaker 1 (55:33):
I'm telling you right now, pour it over ice and
get it where you want it is the name of
Guns N' Roses album, I'm pretty sure. I think that
was right after the spaghetti incident.

Speaker 2 (55:45):
Yeah, that's right. It was right before Chinese democracy, but man.
And they did. They got it where they wanted it. Yeah, yeah.
No one's a fan of Buckethead. No, no, no, no, no.

Speaker 1 (55:55):
Honestly, we don't talk about Buckethead. Look, it's 101.5 KGB
on a Bar Cart Friday. We are indulging early to
indulge our friend Sean, who's got to catch a flight.

Speaker 2 (56:04):
We've got one more drink left. That's next. Happy Bar
Cart Friday, everyone. It's 101.5 KGB. Big Rich TD and
Fletch with you as we are.

Speaker 1 (56:13):
Really counting down the remaining hours we have or minutes
really on air with you this week.

Speaker 2 (56:20):
But we'll be back on Monday.

Speaker 1 (56:22):
Who's here with us who won't be back Monday because
he's got a big flight to catch and things to
do and people to see is Sean with Heaven's Door Whiskey.

Speaker 2 (56:29):
That's right. Now, Sean, when you do leave, are you
going to leave a bottle or two? I'm done. All right.
So Bar Cart will continue. And that bottle? Thank goodness. Oh, yeah.
The one you just poured. That is not happening. This
is taking a flight to Denver.

Speaker 1 (56:44):
Oh.

Speaker 2 (56:45):
The rare hair is coming to Denver. You're checking that bottle?

Speaker 1 (56:48):
Oh, yeah.

Speaker 2 (56:48):
Wow. I'm very sneaky. And I'm lucky. Like a lucky bastard. Wow.

Speaker 6 (56:54):
This is what this is. The rare hair lucky bastard.
30-year Canadian whiskey.

Speaker 1 (56:59):
Now.

Speaker 2 (56:59):
Canadian rye. Canadian rye. Yeah, which I don't think we
have ever had a Canadian rye in the studio.

Speaker 1 (57:08):
And I also don't think we've had a 30 year
single expression like we've had blends before. But this is
just a straight up rye that was set to rest.
I'm guessing sometime in the 90s. Yeah.

Speaker 5 (57:22):
All right.

Speaker 7 (57:23):
And the cool story is, just like any rare hare
and any bunny rabbit that goes down a hole, he
doesn't know where he's going to come up until he
comes up. And the story behind the rare hare, these
are exceptional, extraordinary whiskeys that we have released that are
actually from around the world. We have four expressions currently
on the market. We have a seven-year, 15-year-old, a 20-year-old

(57:44):
Tempest whiskey. from tasmania it's a single malt whiskey it
tastes like nuts and berries with a little bit of
port what but this is this is the expression we're
talking about this is the lucky bastard this is simply
elegance you have the uh cognac floss bottle the box

(58:04):
nobody can see it online but go to kegan bottle
There's an image on the Kagan bottle.

Speaker 2 (58:09):
You can go buy it there. What's the price point
on the Kagan bottle? It's only $ 650. This whiskey is
me years old.

Speaker 8 (58:13):
It's dirty.

Speaker 4 (58:14):
Imagine?

Speaker 2 (58:14):
That made it kind of gross. Dude, you're drinking me. Yeah,
that's what I was thinking. That doesn't settle right. Everything
is going the wrong direction. Man, I'll tell you. Bar
Cart Friday. The nose is phenomenal. Rich, you've already done

(58:38):
a taster. That might be the best whiskey I've ever
sipped in my life.

Speaker 4 (58:43):
Whoa, seriously?

Speaker 2 (58:43):
I'm not even joking. Oh, yeah, it's up there.

Speaker 7 (58:46):
I have more people tell me, and I like this story,
four people, friends, sitting around drinking this.

Speaker 2 (58:53):
And at the end, you're like, wait, did we drink
a whole bottle?

Speaker 1 (58:56):
So what's weird about it is it hits your tongue
and it's whiskey, right? It's got the characteristic flavors that
you're used to. But as you're swallowing it, you get like,
is it like fig or it's like....

Speaker 2 (59:10):
Dark, dry fruit? It's really unique. It tastes like.

Speaker 1 (59:16):
Right now, after sipping it, it tastes like I just
bit into a plum or something.

Speaker 3 (59:20):
Yeah, it is.

Speaker 7 (59:21):
I can't give you any of that because I have
Oreos in my mouth.

Speaker 2 (59:23):
And I taste chicken waffle slash no.

Speaker 1 (59:28):
Sean partook in our Oreo taste test.

Speaker 2 (59:31):
Rich, you're right.

Speaker 4 (59:32):
Dried fruits and roasted nuts are on the tasting notes
as well as dark chocolate.

Speaker 2 (59:37):
It is fruity.

Speaker 6 (59:38):
You know what's weird, though, is when it first hits
your tongue, it almost has that sweet bourbon. Then you
get that pepper from the rye. So think about rye.

Speaker 7 (59:46):
Rye does have that pepper in the back atmosphere expression.
But when you're aged for 30 years, you kind.

Speaker 2 (59:52):
Of lose it. Yeah. So that's where it gets that soft.
I lost it around 25. Me, it was 27.

Speaker 1 (59:57):
I haven't looked back since.

Speaker 2 (01:00:00):
Really, honestly. But I'm looking to get my pepper back.

Speaker 1 (01:00:03):
Should we get a therapist online? So salt and pepper here.
Don't go chasing those waterfalls, Sean. Stick to the rivers
and the lakes you're used to.

Speaker 2 (01:00:13):
That's TLC. Well played. No, what, TLC? I've never even
heard of the band.

Speaker 1 (01:00:20):
So you're saying just the amount of time it spends
resting in the barrel, it can actually lose some of
the flavors that are trademarked to a normal rye or bourbon?

Speaker 7 (01:00:32):
Anything that would be bourbon would be the same thing
as well. You're going to— Like even alcohol volume changes,
the pressure changes, rotation in the still houses, maceration houses.

Speaker 2 (01:00:44):
I don't think they have those in the United States.
They're all over the place right now. TV, come on.
What'd you say? Masturation. I got it. Masturation. Oh, I thought.

Speaker 1 (01:00:58):
You had to go to Amsterdam for that.

Speaker 2 (01:01:01):
That's Mast... Guys? Why'd you go to a song? Why'd
you go to a song? Thanks, Sean.

Speaker 1 (01:01:05):
We love you.

Speaker 2 (01:01:06):
Why'd you go to a song?

Speaker 1 (01:01:07):
Well, listen, even though Sean's got to catch a flight,
we can still drink whiskey and we will.

Speaker 5 (01:01:12):
You're going to have to take the lead at some point.
We're all counting on you. This is all going downhill.
You're going to have to plan this plane. It's a
Bar Car Friday brought to you by Keg and Bottle.
Happy Bar Car Friday, everybody. It's Big Rich, TD and Fletch,
101.5 KGB.

Speaker 1 (01:01:26):
We just sipped on a ton of whiskey. Heaven's Door
came through the building here. Of course, Bar Car Friday
brought to you by Keg and Bottle. And you can
pick up any of these three drinks. expressions of Heaven's
Door whiskey at any keg and bottle location in San Diego,
the Ascension, the Exploration, and the Revelation. We also tried

(01:01:49):
the Rare Hair Lucky Bastard, which is a 30-year-old rye
from Canada.

Speaker 2 (01:01:55):
I think we're about to learn why we usually do
this at the end of the show. Yeah, yeah, yeah. It's, uh.
It's a little tricky right now. Feeling it. Whatever it is. Yeah,
we're there.

Speaker 8 (01:02:08):
Well, whatever you guys need, I got you.

Speaker 2 (01:02:10):
Because I feel normal.

Speaker 1 (01:02:11):
Well, you're eating some weird salad thing again.

Speaker 2 (01:02:14):
That's got to be fermented at some point. Yeah, it
looks like that. But whatever the dressing is, is pungent.

Speaker 5 (01:02:20):
Right, right, right.

Speaker 2 (01:02:21):
I mean, that is perfuming the air. I actually don't
know what type of dressing this is.

Speaker 5 (01:02:25):
Orange.

Speaker 2 (01:02:26):
Yeah, it's like a... Honey mustard of sorts. No, that's
not right. I don't know what it is.

Speaker 1 (01:02:31):
It does smell like it has some sort of ginger
component in it.

Speaker 2 (01:02:35):
Okay, maybe you're correct. Yeah, yeah.

Speaker 1 (01:02:37):
And definitely a sesame seed oil of some sort. It's
not morning food.

Speaker 2 (01:02:42):
You refuse to eat like normal morning breakfast.

Speaker 8 (01:02:45):
Well, I was going to eat this salad for lunch today,
but then my friend brought me homemade chili relleno. So
I was like, I'm going to eat that for lunch. Therefore,
I need to bump my salad up to breakfast.

Speaker 2 (01:02:56):
Your friend, you say? Now, who is this friend? Have
we met this friend? Male or female? You guys have?
Is it a guy friend? This is a guy friend
that you three... Guy friend who can cook. It's a
guy friend who.

Speaker 8 (01:03:06):
Actually, his mom made it and he brought it over
to me.

Speaker 2 (01:03:09):
Oh, he lives with his mom? Yeah. Got it, got it. Wait,
hold on.

Speaker 1 (01:03:14):
My situation sounds like it's getting pretty serious if mom
knows about the relationship.

Speaker 2 (01:03:18):
Hang on, hang on, hang on. This is a friend
that I've had for years and the three of you
have all met him. Wait, you go to concerts together?

Speaker 8 (01:03:24):
We went to a concert together last night and he
brought me food that.

Speaker 2 (01:03:27):
His mom made. Does he make at least $ 100, 000 a year?
Are you looking at all the things that I.

Speaker 8 (01:03:34):
We're still starting a dating profile for me, or you
guys are supposed to.

Speaker 2 (01:03:38):
And we forgot to ask, can he live with his mom?

Speaker 8 (01:03:41):
This is not a romantic relationship. This is a friend
that I've had for several years.

Speaker 1 (01:03:47):
Sometimes there could be, I don't know, like a baseball
player standing in the on-deck circle. And you might be
thinking to yourself, the guy at the plate, that's the
slugger we're all waiting to see. And then all of
a sudden he strikes out. And the guy who's dusting
his cleats off from the on deck circle, he hits
a dinger.

Speaker 2 (01:04:05):
That's right. That's right. That's right. Okay. And you know what?
That's what I'm talking about. Knock him around the bases.
Maybe he's that guy. We're not knocking around any faces.
We're just saying.

Speaker 1 (01:04:15):
I mean, you know, he showed you his chili rellenos.

Speaker 8 (01:04:19):
I know that the three of you have been married
for so long that you can't even fathom a man
and a woman being friends.

Speaker 2 (01:04:25):
But I've got several guy friends who are platonic. He
wants to marry you. Hold on, hold on, hold on. Platonic...
In your eyes.

Speaker 8 (01:04:34):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (01:04:34):
Not in their eyes. Well, tonic in their eyes as well. No. No,
that's not how that works at all. Is this guy Greek?

Speaker 6 (01:04:39):
Dark features, light eyes, 4361, active, not shredded, goes to
the gym, no pets, makes at least $ 100, 000 a year, drinks,
but not socially or not gets drunk.

Speaker 2 (01:04:50):
Maybe. All right. He's our guy. All right.

Speaker 1 (01:04:52):
So feelings got a little hurt in studio just moments ago.

Speaker 2 (01:04:56):
I don't like this. I don't like it. All right.

Speaker 1 (01:05:00):
We're going to talk about it now.

Speaker 2 (01:05:02):
This way we get it out of the way. Uh-huh.
Fletch noticed something and he shot me and Kat a text.

Speaker 8 (01:05:08):
A private group thread with TD excluded.

Speaker 2 (01:05:11):
I don't like that. And now.

Speaker 6 (01:05:15):
I like to make fun of others, not me.

Speaker 8 (01:05:16):
Now.

Speaker 1 (01:05:17):
Now, what happened here was TD got wind that we
were texting without him.

Speaker 2 (01:05:22):
I got wind.

Speaker 1 (01:05:22):
Because Fletch said, hey, did you get the text I
sent you without TD on it?

Speaker 2 (01:05:26):
That's how I got wind. It's something for the air.
It's something for right now. So, like, you know, the
winds change and you heard about it.

Speaker 1 (01:05:33):
And so you get really upset about it, and then
you send a very vulgar message to myself and Flash.

Speaker 2 (01:05:40):
I texted you separately. That was all. I didn't want
Kat on the.

Speaker 5 (01:05:45):
Text.

Speaker 6 (01:05:45):
All right.

Speaker 2 (01:05:46):
So we have that to read. How does it feel? Well,
I don't know. You tell us, Kat. It feels great
to be on this side of things. It probably does
from the words I used.

Speaker 1 (01:05:55):
I'm just saying. So, Fletch, if you will, what did
you notice about TD?

Speaker 4 (01:06:01):
Well, during Bar Cart Friday, TD was viciously typing on
his phone to someone. I'm not sure. I didn't mean
to look. I didn't read anything that was typed. However,
I did notice... The letters that were typed were quite
a bit larger than the letters on a standard phone,
leading me to think TD has changed his font size
on his phone.

Speaker 2 (01:06:18):
Oh, yeah, dude, like a year ago.

Speaker 8 (01:06:20):
You have the elderly font size? The XXL font size?

Speaker 2 (01:06:25):
Abso-friggin-lutely. Wow. Yeah, man, oh, man. Otherwise, it's way too teeny, teeny, tiny.
That was it? That's all? I was making fun of
you for being old, but it sounds like you're all
good with it. Have you tried to look at it
with normal teeny tiny font? I will say this.

Speaker 1 (01:06:40):
This is a stage in life that we are all
going to reach some sooner, some later. I'm telling you,
I clicked over at about 45 and I thought, I
can't read this anymore.

Speaker 2 (01:06:52):
Oh, so this has been a while.

Speaker 1 (01:06:53):
Oh, yeah.

Speaker 2 (01:06:54):
What came first, the glasses? Hang on, hang on.

Speaker 1 (01:06:56):
I do have to ask you this question because TD
is rocking the new iPhone, not the one that's about
to be released, but the whatever.

Speaker 2 (01:07:03):
The 17. Okay. So you went in, you traded in
your phones.

Speaker 1 (01:07:06):
Did you do the standard elderly person at the phone place.

Speaker 2 (01:07:12):
Where you go... Can you make my text larger? Can
you help me?

Speaker 1 (01:07:17):
Because my grandchildren send me text messages.

Speaker 2 (01:07:21):
I can't make heads and tails of it. No, I
just said, I can't see this. I don't know what
you're doing. And then they said, you can make it larger.

Speaker 1 (01:07:30):
I said, that's much, much, much, much, much, much better.

Speaker 2 (01:07:33):
They should start with that. They should, honestly.

Speaker 1 (01:07:36):
I mean, listen, I did try to fight it for
a number of years, and then I thought, What am
I doing here? Let's just make these huge. I think, yes, TD,
you're on the right path. We don't need to fight
the aging process in our bodies.

Speaker 2 (01:07:49):
Embrace it. Thank you, Kat.

Speaker 8 (01:07:50):
Unless we're talking about wrinkles. In that case, get the butt.

Speaker 2 (01:07:54):
Yeah, yeah, yeah. Diapers, fine. Wrinkles, hell no.

Speaker 1 (01:07:59):
As soon as you were finishing that soliloquy, I was
going to be like.

Speaker 2 (01:08:03):
He's like, we just got to be fine with aging,
and that's why I want you to come to TJ
with me and get some discount books.

Speaker 4 (01:08:09):
Kat is the person who will spend $ 600 on sheets
because there are no foreign objects or they're all organic cotton,
but she will inject $ 125 of who knows what into
her forehead.

Speaker 2 (01:08:18):
$ 250, thank you.

Speaker 8 (01:08:19):
It would be more like $ 700 if I got it
here in San Diego.

Speaker 2 (01:08:22):
That's why I crossed the border and go to Tijuana.
Ripping you off.

Speaker 1 (01:08:25):
Plenty of foreign objects in those sheets. We'll talk about
it in Trending next.

Speaker 2 (01:08:41):
San Diego County is under a heat advisory that ends today,
this evening, with the extreme heat warning, though, in effect
in much of the inland areas. You got to be
careful for citations if you're out walking your dog. What
do you mean? Apparently, they put up signs. Yeah, well, yeah,
their paws will burn.

Speaker 8 (01:09:00):
Oh, I did see a city put out the PSA
about this on Instagram.

Speaker 2 (01:09:04):
And it's true. Like, it's hot.

Speaker 8 (01:09:06):
You don't necessarily always think about the concrete or the
ground temperature, but their.

Speaker 2 (01:09:11):
Paws are bare.

Speaker 6 (01:09:11):
I guess on Cowles Mountain, hikers are seeing signs that say,
you know, warning to dog owners, bringing your pets out
on a hot day could lead to a citation.

Speaker 2 (01:09:19):
Oh, wow.

Speaker 1 (01:09:20):
So I didn't hear that part the first time around.
They'll actually fine you for having your dog? Write you
a ticket.

Speaker 2 (01:09:28):
As they should, by the way. This is a good thing.

Speaker 4 (01:09:30):
Little paws, they are basically like rubber at the bottom
of their feet.

Speaker 2 (01:09:34):
And so if they're stepping on hot ground, it's going
to melt.

Speaker 3 (01:09:36):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (01:09:37):
The little toe beans.

Speaker 8 (01:09:38):
They will burn their paw pads. Now, I think that
it's called Cole's Mountain.

Speaker 2 (01:09:43):
Whatever. Is it? Is it Kohl's? I think it's pronounced Kohl's.
I know, but I think it's pronounced Kohl's.

Speaker 1 (01:09:48):
Well, I shop at Kohl's, so I thought I would
hike at Kohl's.

Speaker 2 (01:09:51):
Yeah, yeah. Kohl is spelled K-O-H-L.

Speaker 8 (01:09:54):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (01:09:55):
The story, right? Or C-O-A-L. A-L. Oh, yeah. Kohl's Fine Flooring. Yeah.
Or Kohl, like J. Kohl, the rapper. Coming to San
Diego soon.

Speaker 5 (01:10:06):
God.

Speaker 2 (01:10:07):
I refuse to put a W in coal. I won't
do it. Can you imagine if somebody was like, my
name's Nicole with a W? I'd be like, where the
hell does the W go?

Speaker 4 (01:10:16):
Hang on.

Speaker 2 (01:10:16):
Are you sure?

Speaker 5 (01:10:18):
Yes.

Speaker 8 (01:10:18):
I've seen a lot of dissertation about it because it
is spelled out.

Speaker 2 (01:10:21):
It looks like cowls, but it is allegedly pronounced. I'll
tell you right now. If I'm with somebody who goes, yeah,
I was just hiking. Oh my God. She's right. Hang on.

Speaker 1 (01:10:32):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (01:10:33):
Better yet, better yet, if I said to somebody, oh, yeah,
I went up.

Speaker 1 (01:10:36):
Cow's Mountain one time. That's a hike you only need
to do once. And they were like, it's Kohl's. I'd
be like, I'm deleting you from my phone.

Speaker 2 (01:10:42):
It's the same thing if somebody called La Jolla. No,
it's not the same thing. That is not the same thing.

Speaker 1 (01:10:47):
That's 100% the way it's supposed to be pronounced. And
everybody who lives in La Jolla calls it La Jolla. Yeah.

Speaker 5 (01:10:55):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (01:10:56):
Come on.

Speaker 2 (01:10:56):
Everybody knows that. College football kicks off tomorrow. I don't
know what Rich said. Oh, no, no. It's North Carolina
and TCU tomorrow morning, 9 o'clock.

Speaker 1 (01:11:06):
So they call it week one, but it's really week zero.

Speaker 2 (01:11:10):
They might actually call week one again.

Speaker 1 (01:11:12):
Anyways, UNC and TCU are playing at Aviva Stadium in Dublin, Ireland,
as a part of the Aer Lingus early season matchup,
whatever they call their sponsorship. It's going to be a
fun matchup, and it's a good way to kick off.

Speaker 2 (01:11:30):
The football season.

Speaker 1 (01:11:31):
And I think that this college football season is going
to be a really important one because they're dabbling with
the idea of expanding the postseason and and adding more
teams than just the 12 we currently have. So this
could be the final season you actually see a 12-team playoff.

Speaker 4 (01:11:50):
By the way, San Diego State opens up at home
next Saturday against Portland State.

Speaker 2 (01:11:55):
Go ask sex.com. There it is. And managers, beware.

Speaker 1 (01:11:59):
Grand Theft Auto 6 is apparently looking to be what
they're calling a work blackout.

Speaker 3 (01:12:07):
It's been.

Speaker 1 (01:12:07):
13 years since a new Grand Theft Auto game has
come out.

Speaker 2 (01:12:14):
Gamers are deeming this an unofficial holiday. It comes out
November 19th.

Speaker 6 (01:12:18):
There are already millions and millions of employees all around
the country who have put in vacation time for the
entire Thanksgiving week. Day after Thanksgiving, or no, sorry, the
20th through Thanksgiving week, they've taken off.

Speaker 1 (01:12:32):
Wow.

Speaker 2 (01:12:32):
This is so cool. Have you put in that time? No, no,
I haven't. I'll be working.

Speaker 4 (01:12:36):
But the first 26-minute extended look came out on Netflix
yesterday for this video game.

Speaker 2 (01:12:42):
And you also had an extended look.

Speaker 1 (01:12:43):
I did.

Speaker 4 (01:12:44):
Sure did. But it's cool how they did it. It
wasn't like somebody narrating anything in between. It's just 26
minutes of pure gameplay. It's like a really, really long trailer.

Speaker 2 (01:12:52):
But it looks... Was there music at least?

Speaker 8 (01:12:55):
Amazing.

Speaker 2 (01:12:55):
Yeah, there's music. Oh, okay. I was going to say... No,
it moves quickly. It doesn't feel like 26 minutes.

Speaker 3 (01:13:01):
I was like.

Speaker 4 (01:13:04):
Door slamming so but they clearly they like picked things
to highlight that would make you get excited about the
game like the cop car chases are outrageous you could
skydive off of buildings the town of miami which they're
calling miami vice yeah is amazing this is going to
break the internet and by the way My character's a hottie.

Speaker 2 (01:13:25):
Yeah, you know what? Okay, he said it. Lucia. Can't disagree.
Can't disagree. What? So, AI is catching up.

Speaker 1 (01:13:34):
And you know this because when he sent the picture
of Lucia, who's the protagonist of the game GTA 6.

Speaker 2 (01:13:41):
I was like....

Speaker 1 (01:13:46):
I haven't felt this way since I watched Who Framed
Roger Rabbit.

Speaker 4 (01:13:49):
And for those who are into it, this is the
first video game that has figured out toes. Video games
haven't been able to accurately depict human feet.

Speaker 2 (01:13:57):
Feet? Oh, that's why people are all about this. For
the foot fetish of the world. They've got it figured out. Yeah, yeah, yeah.

Speaker 1 (01:14:04):
And they show her feet a lot in the trailer.
I don't feel like at this point everybody likes feet.
I feel like I'm just going to start telling people
that so that I'm a part of the crowd.

Speaker 2 (01:14:13):
You want to tell people you love foot fetish? I
love them.

Speaker 1 (01:14:15):
Toes?

Speaker 2 (01:14:15):
Are you kidding me? Which one's your favorite? It's just
the tip with Big Rich.

Speaker 1 (01:14:25):
Yes, a little advice. I like to slide out your way.
It's yours for the taking. If you want it, if not,
push it back this way. No harm, no foul.

Speaker 2 (01:14:33):
It's just the tip with Big Rich.

Speaker 1 (01:14:34):
And today's advice comes vis-a-vis two words.

Speaker 2 (01:14:39):
Or maybe it's one word. I'm not sure. Vis-a-vis? Blood flow.
Blood flow. That's the word. Or the two words. Okay.
So check this out. I was doing some research.

Speaker 1 (01:14:52):
And men of a certain age have to start thinking
about their aerobic exercise, gang. We're talking vasodilation. We're talking vasodilation.
We are talking about getting the NO2 in the bloodstream
pumped up. We're talking about a little thing I like
to call cardio.

Speaker 2 (01:15:13):
Okay, you guys. I've got cardio for you. What is that?

Speaker 8 (01:15:18):
I have been inviting the three of you to come
and take my class at Cycle Bar in Hillcrest.

Speaker 2 (01:15:23):
I'm a spin instructor. Wait, are you currently back instructing spin?

Speaker 8 (01:15:27):
I haven't for a couple of months. I stopped instructing
when I went through surgery.

Speaker 2 (01:15:31):
Well, thank God. But my first class back will be
Labor Day weekend. No way.

Speaker 1 (01:15:36):
Well, we cannot go Labor Day weekend. What about the
weekend after that?

Speaker 2 (01:15:42):
We'll probably take the boat out. What's that? The weekend
after that.

Speaker 3 (01:15:45):
Oh, no.

Speaker 2 (01:15:45):
I got to clean the boat. I got to clean
the boat. A compound word is considered one word. Blood flow?
A single word, yeah. Blood flow is one word. There
you go, guys. We figured it out.

Speaker 1 (01:15:57):
So I was talking to a doctor friend, and he
said one of the biggest risk factors for guys as
they age is the fact that they don't do cardio anymore.
It's basically you run when... you're scared of something or when,
you know, when something fast is chasing you and that's
about it.

Speaker 2 (01:16:14):
And I was thinking about it recently.

Speaker 1 (01:16:16):
I had strained or sprained or tore my calf just
from playing wiffle ball with the children. I was thinking
to myself like, yeah, that might've been the fastest movement
that week. And then I really thought about it and
squinted my eyes and like looked up.

Speaker 2 (01:16:29):
And I went, no, that was the fastest movement I
made that month.

Speaker 1 (01:16:32):
And so I realized I got to start committing myself
to cardio.

Speaker 2 (01:16:36):
You know how you do it? You wake up a
half hour earlier and you sneak attack your body. What
do you mean sneak attack?

Speaker 1 (01:16:43):
Before you're all the way awake, if you do your
cardio before you've had your first cup of coffee, you
don't even really.

Speaker 2 (01:16:50):
Remember it happened. That's it. I'm out. I'm way out.

Speaker 1 (01:16:53):
I'm not even kidding you. It's almost like abducting yourself. Rich,
you already don't sleep enough. What kind of cardio are
you going to do at 4 a.m.

Speaker 2 (01:17:00):
But you know what I did this time? So I
got out of bed. I went out and picked weeds.
I'm not even kidding.

Speaker 1 (01:17:05):
I put on my bathrobe and I just walked down
the block and then walked back.

Speaker 2 (01:17:09):
In your bathrobe? This morning? Someone's going to call the police.
You did not walk the block in your bathrobe this morning.

Speaker 1 (01:17:15):
So for my birthday, Annie bought me one of those
nice Ralph Lauren brown bathrobes.

Speaker 2 (01:17:21):
I mean, it is luxurious.

Speaker 8 (01:17:24):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (01:17:24):
And I threw it on, and I looked like Hugh Hefner,
and I just hoofed it.

Speaker 2 (01:17:28):
I would be so upset.

Speaker 1 (01:17:29):
I was wearing my sneakers in the bathroom and nothing else.

Speaker 4 (01:17:33):
Hey, TD, I'm going to start a group text with
just you and me so we can make fun of
Rich in the bathroom.

Speaker 2 (01:17:37):
Thank you. Thank you for that. I appreciate that. It
wasn't lame. Flesh and I both looked at each other
as soon as you said Ralph Lauren. It's luxurious. I also,
you know where your nails painted?

Speaker 1 (01:17:48):
They are clear coat because I'm trying to grow them
out so that I can get gels.

Speaker 2 (01:17:53):
Listen, guys, I don't want to talk about my nails anymore.
What I want to say is cardio. You must trust me. Okay,
so why are you guys so... hell-bent on not coming
to my class. It's good cardio. I have to go
robe chopping. What are you guys talking about? 1-1-5 KGB.
It's Big Rich Titty and Fletch.

Speaker 1 (01:18:09):
I was positive, positive that Fletch was going to play
our little song.

Speaker 2 (01:18:15):
Oh, no, no, no, no, no.

Speaker 6 (01:18:16):
This is the closing, the little goodbye song, but we
have still a minute to talk before.

Speaker 2 (01:18:22):
We have to play that.

Speaker 1 (01:18:23):
That's good news because one of the things that I
wanted to give a quick shout out to was Sean
who blew in here at eight o'clock in the morning
and came in with heaven's door whiskey, the Ascension revelation exploration, not,
not only all available at keg, the letter N bottle.com,
but any of the 10 locations at keg and bottle
here in San Diego, Tony Conja, owner-operator of Keg and Bottle,

(01:18:46):
he's been absent a bunch of Fridays here as he's
opening up a new store in the Midwest. If you
miss him, he'll be back soon, but the discounts on
all of the boozes that have been coming through the
room here, they continue to flow even though he's in
his flow state in Michigan right now.

Speaker 2 (01:19:04):
Yep, yep. And when you walk in any of the
Keg and Bottle locations, just make sure you mention Big
Rich TD and Fletch.

Speaker 1 (01:19:09):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (01:19:09):
That's all you got to do. It really does a
lot for you when you mention us. It really does. Honestly,
I mean, have you ever been to a keg and
bottle and not said it? The experience is different. It
really is.

Speaker 8 (01:19:20):
I just show off with you guys. And the experience
is always so great with the three of you.

Speaker 2 (01:19:26):
Wow. Another week down. I mean, in the show, she's
being nice to us. I sort of feel like she's
about to kill us.

Speaker 3 (01:19:32):
What?

Speaker 2 (01:19:33):
Oh, is that what happened?

Speaker 7 (01:19:34):
Yeah, yeah.

Speaker 2 (01:19:34):
Oh, I love you guys. You're luring us into your web.
You guys are my favorite.

Speaker 1 (01:19:38):
What?

Speaker 2 (01:19:38):
All three of you combined. Are we fired?

Speaker 5 (01:19:41):
Are you?

Speaker 1 (01:19:41):
What do you mean?

Speaker 2 (01:19:42):
What's happening? You guys know I love you. Oh, you're
off Monday, Tuesday.

Speaker 1 (01:19:46):
There it is.

Speaker 2 (01:19:47):
There it is. Do it. Enjoy your hiking around Washington.
We'll see you Wednesday. Happy Bar Cup Friday, everybody. We
out of here. Bye, Mom.

Speaker 7 (01:20:23):
Bye.

Speaker 2 (01:20:23):
See you later. I'll pick you up at a quarter
to three. Okay, bye. I used to be legit. In fact,
I was too legit. I was too legit to quit.
But now, I'm not legit. I'm unlegit. And for that reason,
I must quit.
