Speaker 3 (01:05):
Let's go happy Monday, everybody. We are back, sort of
sort of back here. Fletch is back from his trip
to Europe.

Speaker 1 (01:16):
Whats up? Well you doing buddy? Oh it was a
treacherous journey to get back here, but yes we are back.

Speaker 3 (01:24):
Oh we are going to unpack all of it. No
pun intended. Where's Rich?

Speaker 1 (01:27):
But ye? Rich?

Speaker 3 (01:30):
Rich not here today? Rich not here today? So today
is back to school day. So he's doing some back
to school, daddy duties. But tomorrow something real special going on,
real real special.

Speaker 1 (01:43):
I think the band's gonna get back together.

Speaker 3 (01:47):
Sometime. I can't can't put it happen. I cannot confirm.
I cannot confirm as of yes. But I'm just gonna say,
if you plan on tuning in sometime this week, mail
me out tomorrow morning six am. You may want to
have it locked in, set your alarm YEP. I'm just saying.
I'm just saying I feel good about it. That's all.

(02:07):
That's all.

Speaker 1 (02:08):
That's all I want to say. Until next time I
say it.

Speaker 3 (02:11):
Okay, you know you know you feel me sd or
stsu stsu. I think is already back in school. I
was gonna say, san Dieo Unified back in school today.
Powway starts on Thursday. I think your wife works out
in Lakeside. When does school start out there? I think
teachers report back this week. I think she has to
be there on Thursday. She's going in today and then
next week children are back command this August start time

(02:34):
for back to school time. Woows me off. I know
that's how it goes.

Speaker 1 (02:38):
Every year.

Speaker 3 (02:38):
You used to be Labor Day. It was the day
after Labor Day. Yeah, unless you had a year round school,
that was the only time that people were in school
before Labor Day. But now whatever, we're here, we are
back to school. We're gonna get into that a little bit.
We got to get into what Fletch was doing for
the past during near two weeks?

Speaker 1 (02:55):
Is week in two days? Can I tell you what
I love about being back home? I walk in in
the building as a comfortable temperature. I had ice coming
out of my freezer last night. Like there are little
things that we just do so much better than stupid Europe.

Speaker 3 (03:10):
Did you learn to put an apple in a ziplock
bag while you were away?

Speaker 1 (03:14):
I woke up really early this morning because I'm still
not on California time, okay, and so I came in
really early. I actually had a granola bar, a couple
of pieces of cheese, and a bunch of stuff in
this bag, okay, and I already ate a lot of it,
got it? Got it?

Speaker 3 (03:26):
So that apple is just the last Yeah, of course
it is. That's the part you throw away because the
apple nearly fills the entire ziplock bag. So I just
didn't know why you needed a bag for the apple.

Speaker 1 (03:36):
I had much more stuff in the bag. I just
came in at like three forty five this morning and
ate it all.

Speaker 3 (03:41):
Starting to make a little more sense here, starting to
make a little more sense. But here we go. Happy
mind everybody. We got some amazing giveaways today, including guns
and Roses tickets.

Speaker 1 (03:51):
Whoa wait, are we going to that show? Fletch? It's
on September second. I'm happy. I'm in as well. September second.
So that's three days before the first Aztecs came. That's
not Dragon Stadium.

Speaker 3 (04:01):
Wow, we are back.

Speaker 1 (04:03):
Yeah? Did you did you watch any football while you
were away? I saw plenty of the Hall of Fame game?

Speaker 3 (04:08):
Okay, all right, I'm the Hall of Fame game may
have been more exciting those Super Bowl d It was
pretty awesome.

Speaker 1 (04:13):
It was pretty awesome. I mean, Chris Collinsworth was so
fired up. I thought, dude, you don't have to sell
it this hard. And how about the emotions of Drew
Brees and Luke Keigley getting the Hall of Fame nods?

Speaker 3 (04:23):
Like I football?

Speaker 1 (04:25):
The charm of it is here, fully the first episode
of Hard Knocks coming out. Can't wait to watch that tonight.
Look at you like everything is turn it up football.

Speaker 3 (04:32):
You know, the coolest part about you being back is
being back in the fletched zone.

Speaker 1 (04:37):
That's all I'm saying. That's all I'm saying.

Speaker 3 (04:38):
I mean, I could not do a justice, but you
know that already six thirty.

Speaker 1 (04:43):
I know it's coming up. It's coming out. Good ones too.
Who were that? Though?

Speaker 3 (04:46):
I'm excited before that. We should probably rank the stake.
I'll explain next. Yeah, hell yeah, it's one of one,
five kgb. It's big rist td in Fletch Rich doing
some some back to school dad duties today. So Fletching
myself holding things down. Fletch back from Europe for the
first time ever, ever ever, as he calls time out,
time out, thirty seconds to the score. So yes, time out,

(05:07):
go ahead. I got a DM while we were gone.
That said I got traded. Oh you did get traded?

Speaker 1 (05:11):
Yeah?

Speaker 3 (05:11):
What does that mean? Do I not work here anymore?

Speaker 1 (05:14):
Well?

Speaker 3 (05:14):
You know you being a sports guy, you know Major
League Baseball. The trade deadline was last week, and so
before the trade deadline, we did trade you to La
Joya Joe for a used wooden or, which we now
have proudly displayed here in studio next to the KGB
surfboard that he brought for us pretty good value or
out of me?

Speaker 1 (05:34):
Really? Yeah, honestly we were pretty much bids. Did were
there other offers on the table for me? And do
I work for Joe? Now?

Speaker 3 (05:42):
What's happening? I guess you do work for Joe? Now, Yeah,
you're gonna make surfboards from now on. I think I
think that's what you're doing. I don't think you get paid.
That was never part of the negotiation. Kase coher light
a week. We'll call it good Joe. I mean that's
up to you and him. Now he he has you,
that's all I know. And we have an or and

(06:03):
uh and uh a jar of pickled things. I got that.

Speaker 1 (06:07):
DM. Well.

Speaker 3 (06:07):
We were embarrassed. I looked at Kennel. I was like,
I think I just got traded off the show.

Speaker 1 (06:11):
You did? You did? You did?

Speaker 3 (06:12):
I don't know if anyone else actually offered anything. We
were just kind of throwing out items that we would like,
that we would trade you for. And we thought a
nice used wooden ore would work for no reason other
than kind of cool to have one. It is kind
of cool, you know, worth it? Jill good good, good,
good good You so you're in Europe for the past
week and two days that he said, yeah, we left.

Speaker 1 (06:34):
We left Thursday the thirtieth. We got back yesterday morning.
We were not supposed to get back yesterday morning. That
was a disaster.

Speaker 3 (06:41):
And while out there you mentioned that one you were
recommended a steakhouse by by our friend Jriff here of
the show, who was also on Sports San Diego Sports
seven sixty. J Riff said, Hey, you need to go
to this. It's the best steak you've ever had in
your life. And you said the steak wasn't great, but
the frets, which are the potatoes.

Speaker 1 (07:03):
Yeah. It was a cool place in Paris. I can't
remember the name of it, Le Entra Cote day something.
And they basically you just sit down and they're like, okay,
this is what you have. It's not you don't order anything.
They just bring you steak covered in some sort of butter,
sauce and French fries.

Speaker 3 (07:15):
Now now j Riff a vegetarian, not anymore. Yeah, but
it had to have been while he was doing this
the steak place.

Speaker 1 (07:22):
No, no, I think he was. This was when he
was like a teenager. He went here, Oh okay, and
this place was famous. There's like a forty five minute line.
The steak was garbage. The fries were really goodful, But
I just think Europeans don't know how to make or
eat steak.

Speaker 3 (07:34):
Okay, So that's what I was gonna say.

Speaker 1 (07:36):
If all you had a lot of steak while you
were there, I probably had steak three times on the
whole trip, and times three times you were not impressed. No,
it's garbage. So I could do so much better on
my barbecue at home. Every steakhouse Texas Roadhouse knocks their
fancy places out of the water. Was Texas Roadhouse pretty
good steak? I know, I know. So you you had steak.

Speaker 3 (07:58):
In London, you had steak and SKUs, and you had
steak in France.

Speaker 1 (08:01):
Yes, and also while in France you ate Italian food.
Italian food in France phenomenal. Okay, we made it multiple times.
We made fun of you in two lengths. So good.
I had Yoki twice on this trip. I had pasta once,
pizza once. Like, the Italian food in Europe is just amazing.
You don't feel bloated afterwards, you feel good. That's what

(08:22):
you want to feel after you have pasta. You want
to feel good. You want to feel good.

Speaker 3 (08:25):
Now, if you were making a steak at home, Let's
say you make.

Speaker 1 (08:28):
A New York strip. I'm doing that tonight. Okay, new
York strip. Out of ten, what would you give your
New York strip? Nine and a half?

Speaker 3 (08:34):
Wow, solid nine and a half. Yeah, I make a
very good steak.

Speaker 1 (08:38):
What do you do to it? Just salt and pepper.
Salt and pepper, give it a little olive oil bath
before it goes on the grill, and okay. And then
out in London out of ten three okay, Scotland four,
it's a little better out there, and then in France
three and a half. So Scotland makes the best steak
if you go. But it was it wasn't good. Let

(09:00):
me be very clear about this. I did not like
steak anywhere we went.

Speaker 3 (09:03):
Well, just know that, Uh, if you're American, be proud
of your steaks, ladies and gentlemen. After what seemed like
one hundred days of fine wine, European cuisine, historic landmarks,
and looking down his nose at everything America has to offer.

Speaker 1 (09:21):
He's back.

Speaker 3 (09:22):
After studying Beauty and the Beast tapes for weeks to
learn the culture, he left us Fletch, and he has
returned Monsieur Fletch.

Speaker 1 (09:30):
He's culture, he's sophisticated.

Speaker 3 (09:34):
He's going to pronounce croissant like an a hole for
the next three weeks. So grab your passport, pour yourself
and espresso.

Speaker 1 (09:42):
Welcome back to the Fleady.

Speaker 3 (09:46):
We're Fletch talk sports.

Speaker 1 (09:49):
How you doing on Chokolasiva? Please?

Speaker 3 (09:51):
I know you're gonna do that. That means that means
can I have some chocolate chocolate croissant please?

Speaker 1 (09:58):
Honestly, dude, the one thing that parents has figured out
over us is there like Saubway sandwiches are nominal subway sandwiches.
So it's called boy Well, it's just a bag at
with meat and cheese inside. Okay, that's all. It is.
Better than Jersey mice. Yes, you love me, you love

(10:18):
it it is. It's called the jambone colt. I think
that's what it is. It's just oh mpt relaxed.

Speaker 3 (10:30):
Whoa whoa, whoa whoa Okay, okay, okay, all right, jam
on something.

Speaker 1 (10:34):
It's okay, ham meat or ham butter and cheese. It's unreal,
all right. Since I've left, the Padres are a good
baseball team, that's right, you got that if it, if
it starts going south, you're gonna get on a plane, buddy.
But Jackson Merril, Fernando Tazzis Junior hitting home runs like crazy.

Speaker 3 (10:50):
Did you see Fernando's yesterday?

Speaker 1 (10:52):
A three run blast off the Western Metal Supply Building,
one hundred and twelve feet of just a monster slam.

Speaker 3 (10:59):
It was yards? Was it twelve hundred feet?

Speaker 1 (11:02):
Exactly? They're sixty two and fifty seven. That is their record.
We're coming kind of close to the end of the
season here. They're one game back of the Philadelphia Phillies
in the wildcard race and the Arizona Diamondbacks. So it's
time to go hunting boys. So they got the Brewers today.
The only bomber is as well. I guess it's good
news because if they haven't been on a heater, oh,

(11:22):
you'd be way back, because they've been one game behind
the wildcard race for two weeks. But that's the thing.
They are now separating. The wild card in the National
League is separating a little bit. Where it was eight
teams all competing for three spots, now it's four teams
competing for two spots. It kind of feels like the
Padres are in the mix. So that's good news for this.
It's about forty games laptop, I think forty three. Okay,

(11:43):
so we're we're there, man. This is We're now starting
to get a little nervous. This is also when like
the casual baseball fan, you can start to jump in
and really live and die on every pitch because it
really really.

Speaker 3 (11:53):
Matters from here on out. Yeah, these games start to
mean something. They all do, all right.

Speaker 1 (11:57):
Jacob Wilson is a player for the Oakland Las Vegas
sect Mental Athletics and his dad would be proud. So
his dad a twelve year Major league veteran, Jack Wilson,
you might remember him. He was a shortstop, kind of
a journeyman, played all over the league. But from the
time his son Jacob was in pee wee baseball, little
league t ball, all those things he swore into him.

(12:19):
Defense first, defense, first, defense first. Jacob Wilson has now
set a Major League Baseball record. He has gone one
hundred and eleven games without an error at shortstop for
the A's. Look at this guy, Isn't that amazing? That
is actually at short stop? Incredible? Or you're getting an
average of six or seven plays per game. He has
not made a single ERA in the last one hundred
and eleven games.

Speaker 3 (12:40):
So will he somehow leave the A's and get on
a team that can actually win.

Speaker 1 (12:45):
He'll probably be on the Yankees by the time next
year comes around. Right right, Finally, football is back, man,
first game last Thursday Night. A full slate of games
this week as the NFL season truly begins while preseason
truly begins out like everyone's favorite team is back. The
Broncos play this Friday, The Niners play this Thursday. The Raiders,
we got a ton of Raiders fans here in San Diego,

(13:05):
will play the night game on Thursday this week, like
this is the time we're back. Did you watch the
first episode of Hard Knocks TV? I did not neither
of I because I was out of the country. But
I can't wait to watch it tonight. And hear Leev
Schreiber better known as Wolverine's brother in that one awful
remake movie. Uh huh huh. He is the host of
Hard Knocks. His voice is going to be back. The
dramatic music is back.

Speaker 3 (13:25):
I can't wait. It's football, man. It's a cool show.
It's a cool show. I also would be honest, I
didn't even know a new one came out. Yeah, the
first episode came out last week. Oh gosh, I was
busy watching nine two zero row.

Speaker 1 (13:36):
Weird that the Seattle Seahawks, the Super Bowl defending champs,
is the face of hard knocks this year. They usually
don't do that. Oh, they usually don't do the Super
Bowl team. It's you have an exemption. If you made
the playoffs the year before, you could say no. So
the Seahawks had to say yes.

Speaker 3 (13:50):
Well, the Seahawks probably yeah, well, oh, I don't know.
They got a new owner. Maybe they wanted to be
more in public.

Speaker 1 (13:57):
I don't know. My guess is the Seahawks are not
back in the Super Bowl. Yeah, I don't see that happening.
So you know, maybe they just wanted another check one
to won five kg B Big Rich, TD and Fletch.
We have guns and Roses tickets we're gonna be giving
away a little bit later. It's coming up about seven thirty,
so set an alarm for that. We'll tell you.

Speaker 3 (14:16):
When to call. When we do tell you when to call,
you need to be calling number ten. I'll give you
the number right now, eighty eight five seven oh one
oh one five, But don't call yet.

Speaker 1 (14:24):
I'll tell you when.

Speaker 3 (14:25):
I'll tell you when San Diego Unified is back in
school today. Fletch, there's I mean, thousands and thousands of kids.

Speaker 1 (14:32):
Right now brushing their teeth.

Speaker 3 (14:35):
Combing their hair, getting on their feet their first day fiat.

Speaker 1 (14:38):
I'm so sorry, kids.

Speaker 3 (14:39):
Yeah, welcome back. I know, here we go, Here we
go again, now, first day of school. First day of
school was always kind of fun. I mean really, I
thought so nice. Summer was cooler, summer was cooler.

Speaker 1 (14:52):
First the first day of school was fun until maybe
junior year of high school.

Speaker 3 (14:57):
He didn't really care, like the last becoms.

Speaker 1 (14:59):
Oh, I have to start actually getting ready for college,
and this sucks and the homework is awful. I think
one of my favorite parts about being an adult is
not having homework. Yeah.

Speaker 3 (15:09):
Yeah, yeah, that I would say would be number one
for me. That, Yeah, I would say, that's number one.
I didn't really do a lot of homework though, when
I was given homework.

Speaker 1 (15:18):
Now, was it nice for you when your kids were
going through school? Like, was the first day of school
a little bit of a oh thank god? Oh yeah?

Speaker 3 (15:24):
I did, yes, absolutely, especially for my wife who was
home with the kids. So once they went back to school,
there was a bit of a summer choice. I suppose, yeah,
I mean definitely relief. You know, they get out and
go do something, you start to get a little stir crazy.

Speaker 1 (15:39):
I think when you're at homework. Would you have taken
the day off of work for your kids first day
of school? I would not have. Weird, But I am
not apparently as good of a dad as Rich who
took the day off so he could go take.

Speaker 3 (15:53):
His kids to school. Now he may be doing more
than just dropping his kids off. He's pretty involved at
the school, so he maybe he's been the librarian at
different parts, right He's yeah, he's librarian. He's run the
book fairs. I mean, he may have ran a bake sale.
I'm not quite sure. I'm guessing today he's either a
crossing guard or maybe he's just running the line of

(16:17):
cars that run through each You imagine Rich with those
big gloves on his hand in the whistle. There we go, Yes, absolutely,
moving people around one hundred percent can one hundred percent?
He Uh, he'd better bring him in here tomorrow, That's
all I'm saying. Tomorrow, big big day. We said it earlier.
We'll explain what's coming up with that. Got some exciting,

(16:38):
exciting things happening. But meanwhile, first day of school, talk
about it. Let's talk about the best things about heading
back to school or not going back to school now
that summer's over.

Speaker 1 (16:49):
They rich seed in Fletch on a Monday and one
on one five kgb. Not just any Monday though.

Speaker 3 (16:54):
No, it's the first day of school Monday, So summer
over for San Diego school kids everywhere Fletch, it's overwet.
Even though it's the tenth of August, it's still hot.
Manh it's still gonna be hot. Told it's always seems
like it's hot until Halloween night. I feel like San
Diego the hottest is October. It's hot September October get

(17:17):
pretty hot. I will agree with that. But back to school.
What was the best part for you about going back
to school? The bells?

Speaker 1 (17:25):
No, but that's the Tony Hawk pro skater bell on
the school, which is classic. Just made me think of it.
But no, the best part about going back to school
was for sure seeing which girls got cuter over summer.
Oh wow, you know what I mean. You know it's
weird because I grew up and when I was in
like middle school especially, we didn't have phones or anything.
So we hung out with the summer. We're friends within

(17:46):
biking distance. That is true. True. So you get back
to school, You're like, oh, I haven't seen name it
Maria in three months?

Speaker 3 (17:53):
How she looking?

Speaker 1 (17:54):
Sally May got her braces? Are cool? Talking about it's cool?

Speaker 3 (17:58):
You know what what's funny is when you think about
going back to school, you're you're going back to I'm
assuming teenage flash days. Yeah, teenage and maybe even a
little younger little yeah to me, I think of about
maybe fourth or fifth grade. And it's and the coolest
part about going back was either having the brand new
shoes or a brand new trapper keeper? Is that like

(18:20):
a binder? Was like a school supplies? Man, the school
supplies were awesome. Who has the clickie pin? That's what
I'm talking about.

Speaker 1 (18:27):
That's right? You know me? You ever was you show.

Speaker 3 (18:29):
Up to school and you got that pen that has
four different colors the coolest come off or the pencil
where you take the peace out and you put it
in the backside.

Speaker 1 (18:38):
Sure, yeah, so God set of it. Yeah, that's right,
knows That's how I like my pencils. That is how
you do back then, nasty time. The coolest part of
back to school was it the school lunch.

Speaker 3 (18:52):
Let's talk about it. Square pizza. Square pizza at school
was tip top for me.

Speaker 1 (19:00):
It really was school caffecina and look like if I
were if you gave me a choice between the square
pizza at the school cafeteria versus like Papa John's regular triangle,
I would choose Papa John's. Oh yeah, of course. But
there was something about beat at school with that square
pizza where the sauce was molten lava hot, and the
cheese was all in one shape. It looked like a

(19:20):
craft single. I loved pizza. I loved this.

Speaker 3 (19:24):
And once in a while I'll buy a frozen pizza
and I'll think that kind of tastes like that square pizza.

Speaker 1 (19:32):
Yeah, it was like that fake fabricated almost like electric taste.
I don't know how I'm talking about.

Speaker 3 (19:37):
That's what I'm talking about. We would always have you'd
get a square pizza and there'd be this I guess
it was a salad, would just be some lettuce and
maybe a couple shreds of carrot, and then a very
very very thin ranch dressing. Yep, they took the viscus.
They actually, we're gonna add so much water to this,
but I ate it up. And then sometimes there'd be

(19:58):
a scoop of corn for some reason. Get uh, chicken
nuggets in buttered noodles to day. I didn't have you.
You brought this up before we had chicken nuggets. I
don't remember buttered noodles being a part of it.

Speaker 1 (20:08):
It was elite noodles, man, And it was like the
kind of long, squiggly cut noodle that they would put
and it was literally just they must have dumped butter
this pot. Listen. Other than the breakfast for lunch, I
was all about pretty much every single lunch at in
grade school, middle school. I loved it. I thought it
was French Dip day. I bet a French Dip day.

(20:30):
It wasn't good, Like the meat was not good. But
they had like a little styrofoam cup of o oh
and like almost a tried some sandwich.

Speaker 3 (20:38):
Look incredible.

Speaker 1 (20:39):
It was really good. We didn't have that.

Speaker 3 (20:41):
We he went to some high end, high falutin school
chocolate milk. The chocolate milk was elite in a carton
in the carton. Now you ever have it in the bag?

Speaker 1 (20:49):
No?

Speaker 3 (20:50):
And I see the bag? Is that how old schools
have it? Now?

Speaker 1 (20:53):
That's now. I stole one from my wife' school. It
was amazing. It was still elite chocolate mills. That weird
drinking out of a bag so weird. I don't want
it out of the back. Maybe I feel like if
I was a middle schooler and you gave me a
bag of milk, I'm throwing it at somehow it's.

Speaker 3 (21:08):
Seen in a fiddle pond. It also looks like I mean,
would I've seen the photos. It looks like they're holding
up a breast implant. Yeah, or like a cornhole bag
or a cornhole bag. They're both the same. They're both
the same. Everyone knows that.

Speaker 1 (21:22):
Yeah, I don't know. I'm out on the bag. You know?
Did you bring your lunch often? High school? Yes? Middle
school hardly?

Speaker 4 (21:27):
Ever?

Speaker 1 (21:28):
Was I only brought my lunch maybe first through fourth
grade somewhere in there.

Speaker 3 (21:31):
I just remember. I guess I had a lunch box
and my mom would make me lunch. But you know what,
we should talk about the top items to trade for
your school lunch.

Speaker 1 (21:41):
It's coming up next.

Speaker 4 (21:43):
One O one five KGB trending with td A.

Speaker 3 (21:46):
School is back in session as of today for San
Diego Unified and Fletch. During the pandemic, San Diego Unified
students got chromebooks. Well, now the San Diego Unified School
District is making a couple changes of those chromebook and
kids will no longer be able to go to YouTube.

Speaker 1 (22:05):
Blame probably for the best now, but I agree that's
super lame, man, I mean that's all right, what are
you gonna use it for school? TD? Imagine this, you
and me if we were like ten years old at
the same time, we were gifted a laptop with full
access to YouTube. Yes, are we doing any schoolwork that
entire day?

Speaker 3 (22:24):
No?

Speaker 1 (22:24):
No, absolutely no. Computers in here shouldn't have access to
YouTube because you and I end up spending times during
songs watching movie trailers.

Speaker 3 (22:32):
Not that we ever do. Yeah, I would, I would not.

Speaker 1 (22:34):
I wouldn't say that out loud. I mean, we know
it's only for work purpose purposes that we use YouTube. Yeah,
if we were never once looked up Heidi kloom bikinis,
that's insane.

Speaker 3 (22:46):
Why that would be crazy to type that in not
this show crazy not here? No, No, And we stand
on business now. We have looked up Jennifer Aniston and
Brad Pitt because at one time they were America's couple,
and then they sure up and it felt like the
world was falling apart, and then we just were okay,
I guess with Brad Pitt.

Speaker 1 (23:04):
And Angelina and Joeia.

Speaker 3 (23:05):
Then they split up, and Jennifer anistad well, she's never
been able to really lock down love. I don't think. Well,
apparently they are secretly and I use air quotes talking
again and having I use air quotes, lunch dates and
I use air quotes. Taking private visits to her home.
Jen and Brawn are bags.

Speaker 1 (23:25):
I don't know. This is the room the world could use.
This good for you crazy kids? I again. Have you
seen the trailer for his new movie with the Dog? Yes,
that's gonna kill me. I don't okay, it looks fantastic.
I had a long standing rule I don't watch dog movies.

Speaker 3 (23:40):
I want to see that one. I cry and cry
and cry at dog moves.

Speaker 1 (23:45):
Have you seen any of the behind the scenes stuff
on Instagram where it's like Brad Pitt because they use
the real dog. Yeah, no, CG and oh yeah, I
in brad Pitt's talking like, Hey, this is my co star.
This is what we do during the movie. We just improvised,
and they're like, look at it's so sweet.

Speaker 3 (23:59):
I guess I did see part of this, because I
guess there were you know, part of the script was
written out, Hey, the dog's gonna do this, and Dog's
gonna do this, and then they started filming brad Pitt
and the dog together and went, oh my god, they
have a bond.

Speaker 1 (24:11):
This is better. Yeah, this is better. I can't wait.
My movie's gonna make me cry so much. Listen.

Speaker 3 (24:16):
I mean, I'm probably gonna have to google does the
dog die? Because if the dog does, there's no way
I'm sitting in this movie. It's a dog movie, Travis.
The dog's gonna die. They don't always die, you see,
Turner and Hooch made him.

Speaker 1 (24:30):
Dog's probably gonna die. I don't. I don't know. I don't.
I don't like the tomic scene is the dog has
PCSC It's so sad. But maybe Brad middle die hopefully hopefully. Yeah,
I'm keep your fingers crossed. Man. Wendy's has lost.

Speaker 3 (24:45):
Its place as the number two burger chain in the country,
so about six months ago, Wendy's overtook Burger King became
number two, right behind McDonald's. And now after these viral
videos went out, Remember the the McDonald's ceo eating the weirdo.
What was it the I can't remember what it was.

(25:05):
It was the arch, the big Arch, That's what I
was calling that, the mcdoel. I don't know why it
was called that, but I just made that name up.
But it was very odd, it was very awkward. So
then Burger King came out with their own and the
CEO was just mowing down.

Speaker 1 (25:19):
On a whopper.

Speaker 3 (25:20):
Well, he also made a bunch of claims that they
were going to make changes to the restaurant, and now
all of a sudden, sales for Burger King are up
almost ten percent, Wendy's down seven. McDonald's also down a
little bit, but Burger King back in the number two spot.
Have you been by a Burger King lately? I don't
think I've had Burger King since I was twelve. So

(25:40):
my wife loves a walker, really love like that is
her number one go to burger is a whopper and
that is not for me.

Speaker 1 (25:49):
I thought Sarah was so cool. Yeah, she liked the
whopper Man. She likes the whopper.

Speaker 3 (25:53):
Now, I will say recently, one day on the way home,
maybe this was a month, I said, do you want
me to grab you a whopper?

Speaker 1 (26:02):
And she said, yeah, that sounds great.

Speaker 3 (26:03):
And I went to Burger King and I got the
three ninety nine Kids meal, which is just a cheeseburger
and fries and cookie and soda. You got that for you,
and then this is for me.

Speaker 1 (26:14):
This is for me.

Speaker 3 (26:15):
And then it also comes with a crown. When they
hand you nothing that says kids, they hand you, they
hand you the bag, there's a crown on it.

Speaker 1 (26:23):
That little cheeseburger was a tasty burger. It was Burger King.
Back to number two, Burger Kings, back to number two.
McDonald's no number one. We would yes, I mean, is
that number one and number two for you? Because Wendy's
number three. Like if you named those top three and
said these are the top three, Burdy's at number one,

(26:43):
I would put Wendy's at number one, like Wendy's burgers,
but I would I would put an other stuff kind
of sucks like soda.

Speaker 3 (26:48):
Wendy's bad, fries bad, but the fries in the frosty
and easily easily dominates. Yeah, I mean, did you have
a burger when you were over in Europe? No? Not once?
Kind of a sad, sad move. Did you see guns
and roads is while you were in there?

Speaker 1 (27:03):
I did it, believe it or not. That's also a mistake.
There's a lot of guns and Roses posters in London, just.

Speaker 3 (27:09):
Random premendably yes that they say, be calling number ten
to eight and eight five seven oh one on one
five if you want to go see him September second.
It's nap Dragon Stadium they did. That's incredible because that's
what you want to do right now if you want
to go see guns and Roses at the Black Crows,
be calling number ten right now when I'm on five KGB.
Big congratulations to Billy out in La Mas. He won
those Guns and Roadses tickets and fletch. As you answered

(27:31):
the phone, I think you got the call on number nine.
You're like, ah, you're calling him nine. Try back tomorrow.
We have an eight thirty. We have an eight thirty.
That's what I'm at.

Speaker 1 (27:38):
Ye back in an hour, yuh huh uh huh. But
you're on Europe time right in few Still, I think
it's like four o'clock.

Speaker 3 (27:44):
I'm ready for a drink. Well it's not Friday, but
not yet. I mean, we do have a bar. We
could make that happen, So we'll figure something out. Back
to school time here in San Diego, if at least
if you go to San Diego Unified. HOWAE I know
is back Thursday? He said Lakeside they're back next week.
And I believe that up in North County Escondido area,

(28:06):
I believe it is Thursday.

Speaker 1 (28:08):
Of next week as well. I think maybe it's this week.
I'm fun kids. I'm sorry that summer's over.

Speaker 3 (28:13):
Yeah, summer's over on August tenth. But man, oh man,
if you brought your lunch to school, did you ever
trade anything from your lunch?

Speaker 1 (28:19):
I feel like I always found I think his name
was Drew. I always found he had reces in his
lunch every Oho and you. I would find Drew, and
I'd try to convince him that Doritos are better than recent. Okay,
so your mom packed Dorito's, but you wanted the re
I wanted the recess and see, so I'm gonna tell
you right now, the number one trade value in at
my school was either a tweakie or a hostess cupcake,

(28:40):
maybe a ding dong wrapped in foil.

Speaker 3 (28:41):
Sure, you know, the old school ding dongs. That's that's
how they were when they were in my lunchbox. And
and I would get one of those packed once in
a while, and that thing was high value. Now I
didn't trade it. I mean, look at me. I know
I didn't trade it.

Speaker 1 (28:55):
On your tweets unless I.

Speaker 3 (28:57):
Mean, there may have been a snack packed persuaded me.

Speaker 1 (29:00):
I do.

Speaker 3 (29:01):
Like the putting cups, it also depends on the person, right,
and the social status of who is trying to convince
the trade. The prettiest girl in class, you may trade
away that ding dong for nothing, nothing, just she could
bat her eyes at you.

Speaker 1 (29:11):
Yeah, which, God's evil.

Speaker 3 (29:13):
That's that's the evil ways, the way of the world,
evil ways.

Speaker 1 (29:16):
I don't know.

Speaker 3 (29:17):
I guess, so I guess that happened to me. I
bet I can't. I can't recall if somebody wanted a
string cheese, it was all theirs.

Speaker 1 (29:25):
I'll you to.

Speaker 3 (29:25):
Take this, it was it was over with or like
a cup of noodles, because then it was now where
am I going to find a microwave?

Speaker 4 (29:32):
Right?

Speaker 3 (29:32):
Why did Why did mom? Pack me a cup of noodles.
But you know, uh so, I guess moral of the story.
Pack your kids a.

Speaker 1 (29:39):
Ding dong for a cupcake, yeah, or a bunch of candy,
and they'll be the most popular kid in school.

Speaker 3 (29:43):
That's how you do it. That's how you make its popular. Now, Fletch,
you were out in Europe and you have been talking
all morning that you think that I would like to
live in Scotland and you can convince me to do so.
So for those of you that don't know TD, have
you ever left the country. No, do you ever plan
on leaving the country?

Speaker 1 (30:02):
No? Okay, I mean, what do I need to I'm
telling you there is one place where I feel like
you would fit in so so well, and I actually
think you would have the time of your life. And
it's Scotland. It's Scotland. Is it the skirts? I know
for a fact you would hate London. I'm pretty sure
you would hate Paris. But Scotland, dude, this place was
built for you. It's okay, it's built for me. I

(30:25):
guess we'll see Fletch tries to convince me.

Speaker 3 (30:28):
Coming up next, they were seeing in Fletch went on
five kg b Fletch flew the coop went to Europe
about a week and a half ago. You're out there overseas, Fletch.
If you finally came back today, actually when did you
get back?

Speaker 1 (30:40):
Late? Yesterday? Got back yesterday afternoon. We were supposed to
be back Saturday afternoon, and then there was some flight problems. Yeah,
American shmarelines are something that rhymes with that screwed us
up a little bit, and we're back.

Speaker 3 (30:54):
Was it was it the airline or was it the
airport or was it weather?

Speaker 1 (30:58):
It is whatever was going down in Philadelphia, which was
like a nationwide story. I guess the Philadelphia airport had
all sorts of disasters over the last couple of days.

Speaker 3 (31:05):
So we got caught up in that may that was
mostly their line's fault.

Speaker 1 (31:09):
I think, wow, wow, wow.

Speaker 3 (31:12):
Just remember when you point one finger, you have three
pointed back at you.

Speaker 1 (31:15):
But the good news is they were so unbelievably helpful
getting us back.

Speaker 3 (31:19):
Good of course, of course they were, of course they were.
So you went, you went to London, you went to Paris, France,
and you went to Scotland.

Speaker 1 (31:30):
Our trip started in Scotland. I was stop number one
was Scotland. We were staying in Edinburgh, which is the
main big city in Scotland, and then on day two
we traveled to kind of the outskirts the highlands of
Scotland because we wanted to go see a bunch of castles.

Speaker 3 (31:45):
Lots of castles.

Speaker 1 (31:46):
They're everywhere, really, lots of castles, and lots of lakes
and lots of sheep. Oh. Those are the three things
in Scotland that I think there's more than anything else.

Speaker 3 (31:54):
Now I'll tell you what you said. You were going
to convince me to go to Scotland, so far could start,
all right, So here's why I will commit you. We
started in Edinburgh. I don't know that you would start there.
I don't think you would stay there either.

Speaker 1 (32:03):
There's a bunch of little towns outside that are much
more td size and shape. And Edinburgh is is a big,
big city big well it kind of. It's the smallest
city we went to. It's pretty tiny, honestly, Like the
whole thing is walkable. We walked the whole first city,
or the whole entire city in one day. Like oh,
like compare it to smaller away smaller than San Diego.

Speaker 3 (32:25):
I would compare it to like Fresno, but small, Okay, Okay,
so it's I mean it's got there's infrastructure there, yeah,
there is.

Speaker 1 (32:32):
There's buildings, but they're all built in the fifteen hundreds earlier.

Speaker 3 (32:36):
It's insane, that's actually, that's actually crazy. The places you went,
you were looking at buildings that were a thousand years
old easily.

Speaker 1 (32:42):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (32:42):
But here's what Scotland is for you.

Speaker 1 (32:44):
Okay. The food is Bland, okay, all right, And honestly,
but what do they eat. It's a lot of fish
and chips, a lot of burghers, a lot of fries,
a lot of like nothing sandwiches. Yeah, so far I
would order all these This is all you, That is.

Speaker 3 (32:59):
What I'm saying.

Speaker 1 (33:00):
Their beer phenomenal, Okay, phenomenal, and it's all like Laggers
lighter beer. It's like Coors Light, but you fancy it
up a little bit.

Speaker 3 (33:07):
You're you are speaking my language right now.

Speaker 1 (33:09):
There's really there's not a whole lot of like wine
or anything fancy like that. There is Scottish whiskey, which
we did try a little bit, and it's it's more
Scotch less like American rye, which I wasn't super into
that so much. Yeah, but the the buildings itself there,
My god, Like, you don't understand, Travis, how gorgeous this
place is.

Speaker 3 (33:28):
The Highlands is what would get you.

Speaker 1 (33:30):
So we did this eight hour tour where our bus
driver Ron who it was like a little Mercedes sprinter van,
took us through probably two three hours into the countryside
of Scotland. Everything is so green, it's hard to even
put into words how green it is. And then you
come up on these little castles and they all have
their own little like town that's been built around them.

(33:51):
But Dune Castle was the first one we went to.
That is where they filmed Monty Python on the Holy Grail.
I like that. That is where they filmed several seasons
of Outlander, That's where they filmed the little bit of
Game of Thrones. And this place I don't know who
lived there, but they must have been the size of
an ant because the doorways are tiny. But it's just
so cool, feeling like, oh, there was a king dude
who lived here and like ruled over this area.

Speaker 3 (34:13):
Yeah, and keep going in.

Speaker 1 (34:16):
These locks, which is what they call lakes, are these massive, sprawling,
beautiful lakes that there's hardly any boats out on. It's
all very private and they do. By the way, Scottish
people believe in NeSSI like, full on, like full on
believe in NeSSI like, if you joke about it, you're
getting stared at heart. I know this because I did. Wow,

(34:37):
you joked about I may just stared at you a
joke and Ron, our bus driver was not happy about it.
But then it's like the history of all that, Like
Scotland's had like five or six tries at a revolution,
they've never succeeded at it, so they're still under the
reign of King Charles out in London. But the people
in Scotland love Scotland so much. It's like this pride

(34:59):
of country that they have, and they'll tell you about
it the entire time. But the people were amazing. The
Scottish Highland coups, which are their cows that are real hairy,
they kind of look like emo cows.

Speaker 3 (35:08):
Well, no, that's maybe my number one reason I'd want
to move to Scotland.

Speaker 1 (35:11):
They are the cutest thing ever man, and they're everywhere
and they look at baby cows. Yeah, they're beautiful, they're cute,
they're adorable. And the sheep everywhere. I'm telling you, like
this place was built for you. It's very quiet, very
The bagpipes are a little annoying, but it's very quiet
in the bagpipe.

Speaker 3 (35:28):
I like, back, we got to Scotland. Well, hold on,
hold on, hold on. The flight sucks, it's so long.
Well I'd live there, it wouldn't matter. It would just
be one flight, right. So, but what about the air
conditioning situation?

Speaker 1 (35:39):
Scotland was the best one because it's not hot in
Scotland and I don't think it really gets hot, but
there's no air conditioning. There wasn't our hotel, and there
was actually more air conditioning in Scotland than anywhere else.
We win.

Speaker 3 (35:50):
What about what about the ice situation where they're ice
and glasses, not a whole lot of ice. It's like
it's a chore when you ask a waiter if you
could have ice bugboo for me. I do like ice
in the glass?

Speaker 1 (36:02):
They do susuth Americans real quick, because like I went
up to a bar at one of the places. I
was like, hey, can I just get a couple of
waters for the table? And she said, oh, do you
want ice in it? And I was like, yeah, how
do you know? She's like, you look like an American
and I was only a little offended. Well, I mean,
you have an American accent. Yeah, but even the Scottish
accent wasn't that bad in Edinburgh?

Speaker 3 (36:20):
Did you find yourself making a Scottish accent?

Speaker 1 (36:23):
No, and I don't think I could. It's it's very unique. Okay.

Speaker 3 (36:27):
One more, one more, big, big problem here. Now when
they drive on the left side of the road, they
do do that, Okay, they have roundabouts everywhere.

Speaker 1 (36:35):
Yeah, but there's not that many roads in Scotland. What
I answer, really, there is it? I gotta what about it?
There's no drives I do with my wife. Yeah, you
could do that through the highlands, but it's like one road.
It would be the same road every time. No, they
got stuff that branches out once you get out there.
But I'm just telling like, there's not very much human stuff.

(36:57):
I don't know how to describe it. And you know that's, uh,
maybe the best thing you've said.

Speaker 3 (37:01):
You know what I miss? It's one on one five
kg b by the way, But you know what I miss?
I miss buffets. I miss buffet.

Speaker 1 (37:08):
I love a.

Speaker 3 (37:08):
Buffet, A face A top notch man. COVID killed the buffet.
I know I mean it's over with. The soup plantation's
gone away. The sizzlers are pretty much all shut down.
I do believe there's a handful they're still around.

Speaker 1 (37:22):
Chinese buffets. There's still Chinese buffets. There's still that.

Speaker 3 (37:25):
They still have the buffet up at Valley Vue Casino,
but it's a little different. It's not where you can
walk up with the plate and just start serving yourself.
You order off a menu, which I have been to
a couple of buffets like that.

Speaker 1 (37:36):
I missed. The buffets are elite. Man, Man, did you
ever have a hometown buffet where you were growing up?
Absolutely were those everywhere. I didn't know if that was
a central valley, No, No, they were. I think they
were all over the place. They were all over the
place around here. It because that used to be like
our entire basketball team would go them for twenty five bucks.
You get decent food and unlimited.

Speaker 3 (37:55):
I loved a hometown buffet, loved the hometown offe Golden Krale.
Been to one of those, Golden Corral was fantastic. Now
Golden Kraal felt like it set me back a couple
bucks though, Yeah, I don't remember how much those costs.
Golden Crown felt like was about twenty five dollars. Are
those still around? I don't know if there's any of those.
I haven't seen those either. What was your number one buffet? Well,

(38:17):
I mean Las Vegas has some pretty good buffets.

Speaker 1 (38:20):
But what we're talking about here, Yeah, we're talking about
changing hometown buffet growing up, and then when I moved
to San Diego, it was supe Plantation.

Speaker 3 (38:26):
Yeah, I would say I'm in the same boat. I
would say hometown buffet. I probably would stick to hometown
of Fey, but the rest of my family loves the
sup plantation. That sup Plantation was so organized. Right at
the start, everybody lined up, You grabbed your plate, you
could grab a couple of plates if you want, put
them on the tray. You built your salad a nice

(38:46):
organized line as you paid. Then once you got out
of that line, chaos, man, chaos, you are throwing elbows
if you want to baked potato.

Speaker 1 (38:54):
But in kind of a good fun way. I sort
of missed the chaos of the buffet. I'm oh, I
definitely miss it. I want it.

Speaker 3 (39:01):
I'm gonna go back to that where you you know
you go and say you know what I think. I'm
gonna try this clam chowder, and then you get back
to the table, go don't like that? One fight and
you get one bite and then you just leave it
and you get something else. Did you you ever go
to like the Whole Foods buffet?

Speaker 1 (39:16):
No? I didn't even know who? You know what I
People talk about it as if it's fantastic. It kind
of sucks. It's it's not even a buffet. It's like
a hot food bar, but you're paying for everything you get.
But you eat it there you can. I don't.

Speaker 3 (39:29):
I don't know if I've been in a Whole food
since two thousand and six. I don't really like old food,
I think, and I may have been to one in
my life, but the best buffet on the planet, you
know what? You tell us?

Speaker 1 (39:42):
Eight at eight five seven one oh one five Who
had the best buffet?

Speaker 4 (39:45):
One on one five KGB Trending with td.

Speaker 3 (39:49):
Well, Routers and Ipsos did a new poll asking people
if there should be more oversight with social media companies,
and over sixty percent of Americans favor stronger oversight with
with these companies. I actually I think I side with them,
I as much as I love.

Speaker 1 (40:07):
The the.

Speaker 3 (40:09):
You know, the ability to do whatever you like. It
does seem like they have a little bit more flexibility
than other other media companies.

Speaker 1 (40:17):
Yeah, now AI in that world the thing. Yes, when
we're talking about.

Speaker 3 (40:21):
Flexibility in the companies, and that's kind of my hangout.

Speaker 1 (40:24):
So I used AI so much on our Europe trip, Okay,
like for everything. Okay, when I'm talking about, Hey, which
places should we go to for this if we don't
want to be super tourist and we want to do
something else. It was so unbelievably helpful. And if you
started to use AI voice at all, no, but you
have Apple CarPlay right in your car. Yes, So if
you have Chad GPT on your phone, you could just
click it on there and you could have a conversation

(40:45):
with AI while you're going and you could like tell it, Hey,
I need you to route me to this place, but
on a stop on the way, I want to hit
a gas station. Blah blah blah, and it sets everything.
It's kind of creepy how good it's got it is.
That is very cool and so good so fast. It
makes me think where it's going to be five years.
Oh yeah, and I just I.

Speaker 3 (41:03):
Don't know, the problem with AI to me is when
it's false news or fake news and it's AI generated,
it's so hard to figure out whether or not it's real.

Speaker 1 (41:13):
Sure, and that's why the guidelines need to come into place.
But I hesitate on saying we should stop any of
its growth because of how good it's getting at, like
making everyday things easier. Well.

Speaker 3 (41:23):
The other issue I think with social media is that
if you want to not have the oversight, then you
need to make sure that they they are letting people
know that if they're looking at something that's not real news,
that it's not real news.

Speaker 1 (41:38):
I do think the next step is probably going to
be some sort of graphic on every social media post
that determines how much AI is used in it.

Speaker 3 (41:45):
Yeah, oh yeah, yeah, I mean we probably need that now, probably, yes, yeah,
right now. If you make something in AI, there is
a watermark that's usually in the like the lower right
hand corner.

Speaker 1 (41:55):
But what people do is just crop it out or
pay premium and you don't have the water mark. Yeah,
I don't know.

Speaker 3 (42:00):
That's a that's this is a sticky situation with social
media that will not go away. I think for a
long long time. A realtor dot com put out a
list of the ten hottest zip codes for home buyers
so far this year, and kind of a shocking number
one now in the top ten. Not shocking, California did
not make any of it as the hottest zip codes.

(42:21):
Which it's expensive. We cannot say houses.

Speaker 1 (42:24):
It's expensive people who are in house buying age aka
me cannot afford a home right Well, the number one
zip code for purchasing houses in America is Peabody, Massachusetts.

Speaker 3 (42:37):
What the hell is going out on a mask?

Speaker 1 (42:39):
What zero one, nine six? Oh is the zip code?

Speaker 4 (42:42):
What?

Speaker 3 (42:44):
Peabody, Massachusetts? I mean, that can't even be that big. No,
I wonder how close they are at Gillette Stadium. You
think people are going out there because they want to
go see of Patriots cantles is going on out there?
I want to I want to live in Peabody, Massachusetts,
so I.

Speaker 1 (42:59):
Can call it to ittrets Geah. I do like the
name Pea or pe p ea p a Yeah not.

Speaker 3 (43:05):
They should change it to pee.

Speaker 1 (43:07):
It'd be funnier.

Speaker 3 (43:09):
That would be uh, that would be r rated. I
think I don't know, it's quite X rated, and maybe
it is. I don't know, speaking of football, though, So
the forty nine Ers head coach Kyle Shanahan, he was
in a car accident. What two weeks ago, now, I
guess longer than that.

Speaker 1 (43:21):
The accident happened, and then it was like two weeks
without anyone knowing anything. And then last week or two
weeks ago we found out about it. Okay, So so
there you go.

Speaker 3 (43:29):
Two weeks. The accident was like July tenth or something,
So two weeks ago we find out about it, and
the very first thing that comes out is that it
nobody was hurt.

Speaker 1 (43:38):
Thankfully, but it wasn't his fault, right right. The first
article that came out was that it was the woman's
fault who was driving the other car.

Speaker 3 (43:44):
Then he came out and said several days later, no, no, no,
it was my fault, completely, my fault. I dropped my phone.
I wasn't on my phone, but I dropped it and
then I was trying to pick it up off the
floor and I just momentary lapse of reason and I
hit this person. Thank God, no one was hurt. I mean,
he was her pretty fick?

Speaker 1 (44:00):
Was her? A? Yes? Yeah? That person.

Speaker 3 (44:02):
He broke his face, He broke a couple of Ribs
broke his arm, brock his nose. Well, now he was
asked about it on Saturday as they had the questions
and answer session with the coach, and so somebody asked
him about the accident. And now he's saying, well, my
car was on autopilot at the time, self driving mode.

Speaker 1 (44:19):
That's why I could grab my phone. What why? Why
are we still unpacking This story is so weird and
by the like, media outlets are coming under fire now
because ESPN had this story when it happened and they
waited to release it, thinking that there was some sort
of collusion between the league and the media outlet.

Speaker 3 (44:36):
It's drama due to the fact that it has been
weeks and weeks and weeks and we're still trying to
figure out what in the hell actually happened. The police
came out and said, you will not see any body
camp footage. We will not release anything about this.

Speaker 1 (44:51):
And the only person who's been seemingly honest about it
is Kyle Shanahan. I guess. I mean, the whole thing
is so bizarre.

Speaker 3 (44:58):
So they tuned for the next chapter of the Kyle
Shanahan Accident.

Speaker 1 (45:04):
He's gonna be on the sideline coaching this week. He
will witch that was in question, but he will be coaching.
Will we have an eye patch? Hopefully that's cool. I
would keep the eye patch forever. I mean that that
makes you a little more intimidating. Intimidating like Guns n' Roses.

Speaker 3 (45:17):
It's gonna be at Snapdragon Stadium September second, with the
Black Crows, by the way, gonna be a fantastic show.
Ticketmaster dot com if you would like to purchase those tickets,
but if you'd like to win them, we'll pick up
your phone and dial eight a' eight five seven oh
one oh one five. If you are calling number ten,
you win yourself some gn R tickets right here, one
on one, five KGB. Big congratulations to Ed from Claremont.

(45:41):
Who's gonna go see Guns n' Roses one of those
Guns and Roses tickets. We have more we're giving away
with Clint. Okay, I guess I should say Clint has
them to give away at four pm today, four o'clock
and five o'clock, So set your alarms if you didn't
win those, and we will have more tomorrow.

Speaker 1 (45:55):
Tomorrow is gonna be a very very.

Speaker 3 (45:57):
Special show, and we'll explain why here in a little
bit but flat use and Powerball is up to quite
a bit of money.

Speaker 1 (46:04):
What's the amount we're up to? Now? Tomorrow is going
to be a very special show because starting tomorrow I
will be worth nine hundred and eight million dollars.

Speaker 3 (46:10):
Nine hundred and eight million dollars is tonight's Powerball drawing.

Speaker 1 (46:16):
Forty three consecutive drawings without a winner? Wow? And they
waited for me to get back from Europe. They don't
have Powerball in Europe, No, they don't, So what do
they have in Europe? We'll be winning nine hundred and
eight million dollars tonight CD.

Speaker 3 (46:28):
So, so how much are you going to spend on Powerball?

Speaker 1 (46:32):
To twenty bucks? Probably?

Speaker 3 (46:34):
I got a nice chrissy? How much is it per hand?
Who does? Okay? What's the one that's five dollars? Mega millions?

Speaker 4 (46:41):
Oh?

Speaker 3 (46:41):
Okay, so Powerball? Is that just California?

Speaker 4 (46:43):
No?

Speaker 3 (46:44):
Powerball?

Speaker 1 (46:44):
I think is the whole country? I think it's nationwide?
Oh what's mega millions? I think nationwide? Is there a California?
I don't know all these answers that you're throwing you
just a quick pick? Is California only? I don't know?

Speaker 3 (46:54):
But I'm pretty Powerball is the whole country. So Powerball
nine hundred and eight million dollars. You're sure you don't
want to wait and buy a ticket until after this one?

Speaker 1 (47:02):
So it hits a billion, Well, I'm gonna buy a
ticket for that too, But I'm pretty sure I'm gonna
win the night. My smart investing Plan td I will
be worth over a billion dollars shortly, So you're in.

Speaker 3 (47:12):
Your plan for investment is to invest twenty dollars into
ten Powerball tickets and win and win.

Speaker 1 (47:20):
And then with that money that I've made, I'm gonna
really put the fu up to Ornberger and buy all
the SpaceX stock of ill Wow, and we're going tomorrow.

Speaker 3 (47:30):
So you're gonna take everything you went and put it
all into SpaceX. It's all part of a complex plan.

Speaker 1 (47:34):
CD. You'll have to talk with my financial adviser, the
same uncle Ben. So I don't know. I thought he
made Rice no longer. No, My uncle Ben is a
financial guy, got it, got to ask many questions. Now
he's got loose ties to the Italian mom.

Speaker 3 (47:47):
So there was there was much fanfare around SpaceX going public,
maybe a month ago. I don't know when it was
whatever it happened, and it went public for one hundred
and thirty five dollars a share, and both you and
I Fletch but one singular share. Rich he was on vacation,
he missed out, and he's been saying no, he's just
gonna wait until the stock drops. Now currently, as you're saying,

(48:08):
you want to take your nine hundred million dollars, which
by the way, the cash value option will be three
hundred and ninety one million, which then you'll pay taxes on,
so you'll you're gonna walk away with about one hundred
and eighty million dollars.

Speaker 1 (48:19):
Yeah, that's still okay, okay.

Speaker 3 (48:22):
Right now our stock is one thirty two so we're
down three bucks, but we were down like forty bucks.

Speaker 1 (48:30):
Well, and we've made our way back. Is he gonna
take the little wins when you got him TD? Yeah,
I mean, it just doesn't seem like it's that great,
is all.

Speaker 3 (48:40):
Wellmly, here's the deal.

Speaker 1 (48:41):
You are set for life, my friend, because you are
going to be on staff on part of Fletchko forever.

Speaker 3 (48:47):
Go Rich can be if he wants to be.

Speaker 1 (48:49):
I don't know, he's maybe too invested in like going
to his kids first day of school or something. He's
there today, he's there today. She's missed like what a
month and a half at this point? What she even
been doing? Maybe over two months months?

Speaker 3 (49:01):
Look, you're my ride or die.

Speaker 1 (49:03):
You know what I like.

Speaker 3 (49:04):
I like everything you're saying. My suntan up applicator. You
know what I'm out be my beer can opener. Okay,
I'm back in. Can you pilot my yacht? Damn right
I can?

Speaker 1 (49:14):
I don't know, aren't you? Yeah?

Speaker 3 (49:16):
And and I, you know, basically have a yacht. Yeah,
so it's I'm sure pretty much the same. So yeah,
I mean, maybe hold on, what's my salary? Like competitive
but less than what you make now. I just didn't
know if I could sub out the suntan lotion applier,
if I could find someone to do that for me.

Speaker 1 (49:38):
Well, that's gonna reflect in your paycheck, TD, what we
want to be making significantly less if you are not
applicating my suntan lotion.

Speaker 3 (49:44):
Well that's what I'm saying. Like, if I just found
somebody and I paid them out of my paycheck.

Speaker 1 (49:49):
Oh yeah, you could, you could supple I could do that.
I could least that out.

Speaker 3 (49:52):
Sure, listen. If you want to put Fletcher's suntan lotion on,
give us a call, especially if your name is Paige Sporadic.

Speaker 1 (50:01):
Wow.

Speaker 3 (50:02):
Well okay, Well make sure you play Powerball. I guess
according to financial advisor Fletch at Fletch Co, I won
five KGB bigger CD in Fletch and Fletch mad at
me in a hypothetical situation over winning Powerball, which has
now been the topic of discussion because I just think, like,
how long have we known each other? TD seven eight years?

Speaker 1 (50:22):
Yeah, something like that. And how often am I the
one telling you, hey, dude, power balls up.

Speaker 3 (50:26):
You got to buy tickets today? It's true, this is true.
I have bought a ticket one time, right, but I've
We've had this conversation five hundred times. I think I
bought it when it was at about one point two
billion dollars in say, not to buy a ticket just
still insane. To buy a ticket. Your chances are one
in two hundred and ninety two. Tell me the odds.

(50:47):
Here's the thing.

Speaker 1 (50:48):
I have a feeling that today you are going to
find a couple bucks in your pocket. You're gonna stop
at seven to eleven to get a hot dog or
whatever it is you do, and you're gonna say, hey,
Fletchers just told me about power Ball. I want to
buy a ticket and you're gonna win. Oh, look, I
do have cash if you win. After seven years of
just being such a oh you know, it's only one
to two hundred and fifty trullion dollar chance for you

(51:08):
to win. Like, after all this, you're going to be
the one to win. And I don't know what I'm
gonna do. So you're hypothetically angry that I would win
and you wouldn't, even though I have not purchased a ticket,
nor have I said I'm going to purchase the ticket.
Then your anger turned to when I win, you need
to have a better attitude towards golf. Well, I'm going

(51:30):
to hang out with you. That was the situation when
I win. Yeah, I personally no, Yeah I win, you're
obviously going to travel the world with me. Yes, you
need to have a better attitude out on the golf course,
because so often we get to like the ninth hole,
and you're like, can we just be done now? I
just get so tired.

Speaker 3 (51:45):
I know.

Speaker 1 (51:45):
That's what I'm saying. We need to change up your attitude.
You gotta be happy, jovial fun for all eighteen, I
play more Sabrina Carpenter. That's all.

Speaker 3 (51:53):
That's fine, that's all. You have your own cart, we're rich,
that's so. That's that's how you determine who's rich, if
you have your own car.

Speaker 1 (52:00):
When I talk about me winning the lottery, it's as
if the whole show wins the lottery, right, But if
TV wins the lottery, I feel like he's just gonna
like shell us off a little bit of cash and
then go and we'll never see him again.

Speaker 3 (52:10):
I'll give you if I had one hundred and ninety
million dollars after taxes, I'll give you ten million dollars
ten mil. I'll give you ten million dollars. You guys
in the pot for sure, ten mill and a nice
big new truck.

Speaker 1 (52:23):
Okay, I'll get you a new truck.

Speaker 3 (52:25):
And then I'll take the ten million dollars and I
will stuff it in every available orifice of the truck.
That's what I like to hear.

Speaker 1 (52:31):
That's a back.

Speaker 3 (52:31):
That's how you go buy a ticket. Congratulations one one
five kg b. Alicia Silverstone was in this video for
Crazy and Aerosmith. If you remember that Fletch and Alicia
Silverstone going to be Yeah, and she was in the
movie Clueless, and they're going to do a spinoff for Clueless.
Really I don't see that. Yeah, So and she's going
to be in it. So I don't know if she's
going to be the mom or whatever it's going to be.
But sign me up.

Speaker 1 (52:51):
Oh that's cool. Yeah, I'm very excited. I really do
like her. We need more plaid, more plaid. That's exactly
saying that for years. But saying that for years, you
know what, we don't need more of salmonilla? Man?

Speaker 3 (53:06):
Oh man, So is that a thing?

Speaker 1 (53:07):
Yeah?

Speaker 3 (53:07):
So okay, do you remember there was there was a
lettuce problem? Yeah, okay, then I guess they Taylor Farms.
You couldn't buy the bags of lettuce, so they were
they were getting rid of the bags of lettuce.

Speaker 1 (53:18):
But it was them, that it wasn't them, That it
was Taco Bell, that it wasn't Taco Bell.

Speaker 3 (53:21):
Yeah, the whole thing, right, right, So well now then oh,
then it was eggs.

Speaker 1 (53:26):
Then there was there was an egg problem and they
were recalling thirty million eggs or something, which I mean
that seems like an every egg on the planet. Thirty
million eggs. How could there be more than that?

Speaker 3 (53:37):
So, what's the semonilla problem? Well, now, Taylor Farms they
this was last week. Actually the it was Cudoba and Chipotle,
no holapenos because the halapenos had a It wasn't salmonilla.

Speaker 1 (53:52):
It was a single cell organism or something that was
causing people sick. So they were recalled the halapenochpole last night.
Well at your own risk.

Speaker 3 (54:04):
Well, Taylor Farms, the food supplier linked to all this,
says that now they're pulling products from shelves that contain
halapeno peppers, including salsas, guacamole's, burritos, taco dips, and of
course shrimp salads from Taylor Farms. I didn't know that
was a thing, but uh, Kroger, Stopping Shop, Target, Trader Joe's, Walmart,

(54:25):
and Whole Foods all carry these products that they're pulling
them from because there could be a salmon nikola problem.

Speaker 1 (54:31):
What what's going on?

Speaker 3 (54:33):
Why is this all Taylor Farms?

Speaker 1 (54:35):
I don't know.

Speaker 3 (54:36):
Are they just everywhere?

Speaker 1 (54:37):
Is that the thing?

Speaker 3 (54:37):
Well, I would say it's a big, big, big company.
It's they're based in Salinas, Salinas is the lettuce capital
of the United States. So that's a northern California if
you've never been there. A lovely little town, love lettuce.
H They got a nice water tower and lettuce to
water the lettuce.

Speaker 1 (54:55):
I don't know why. I don't know why this is
a thing. Why How would there be.

Speaker 3 (54:59):
E as foods tweakies? And that's the solution, nah, Joe.
That's the lemonheads, my dad's boats. Those are all the
things that you're supposed to eat here for a healthy diet,
courtesy of big rich, cheaty and flesh. Well not big rich,
he's not here, he would probably say different. So no
whole foods, eat and process and garbage. And that's how

(55:21):
you do it. And if it comes in a plastic wrapper,
it's good. That's the one you want.

Speaker 4 (55:26):
One oh one to five kgv trending with TD.

Speaker 3 (55:29):
Well more than one hundred thousand San Diego students are
headed back to school today, and well they may be
there already for the most part, but if you are
driving around at those schools dropping kids off, heads up
because speed limit may be a little bit lower or
aimed at trying to make things a little bit safer.

Speaker 1 (55:45):
Around the schools. Some school zones have.

Speaker 3 (55:47):
Lower speeds from fifteen or twenty miles per hour within
five hundred feet of a school. Nearby streets will have
speed limits of twenty five miles per hour, which is
down five or ten miles per hour right around that.
So just head up, make sure you look at the sign,
and flow down a little bit and fletch. While you
were out in Europe, did you see Justin Herbert out
He was actually there here in San Diego. Chargers are

(56:08):
here in San Diego training getting ready for the season,
and Justin Herbert was just sitting on the grass having
a good time, maybe a little picnic, just whispering sweet
nothing's into his new fiance's ear. I did see that.
Not my quarterback.

Speaker 1 (56:24):
No, we need to be focused on football when we're
out there practicing him ready for a season. We don't
need to be playing foot seats with the missus. It's
your quarterback, Joe Burrow. No, but I do know that
Joe Burrow was also seen doing something similar. Yeah, this
was over the weekend.

Speaker 3 (56:38):
I think Joe Burrow hanging out with his rumored girlfriend,
Olivia Ponton, who.

Speaker 1 (56:43):
Used to be his rumored secretary. Now, okay, who also
used to not necessarily be into men. Oh but who
was his like live in helper weird? But I think
things have changed up. Well.

Speaker 3 (56:56):
They were canoodling out on the practice field, legs crossed,
arms around one another, just staring at one another while
people did drills around them. I know, isn't it funny?

Speaker 1 (57:09):
What is going on with this? Remember when quarterbacks used
to be like Tom Brady, working hard, right, putting in
the effort, yes, to make sure when the time comes,
they're ready to go.

Speaker 3 (57:18):
I will say this, I haven't seen rock Perdy canoodling.
I will also say Tom Brady kind of got knocked
down a couple of notches for me. I wish I
wish Rich was here so I could ask about this.
But so he was on a yacht. It was his
birthday celebration. Okay, his birthday celebration on a yacht. He
was showering. He was caught showering, washing all the body parts, showering,
hand down the pants.

Speaker 1 (57:37):
Yes.

Speaker 3 (57:38):
Then there's a photo of him jumping into the water
and he's holding his nose.

Speaker 1 (57:45):
Song, That's what I'm saying.

Speaker 3 (57:47):
So scared you're gonna get some water up the Sun, Tommy,
that doesn't doesn't quite seem like the greatest of all time.

Speaker 1 (57:57):
He spelled to MMI exactly exactly.

Speaker 3 (58:01):
Now, how do they spell flesh?

Speaker 1 (58:03):
Is it a inn?

Speaker 3 (58:04):
Because also when you were in Europe you were carrying
around immerse.

Speaker 1 (58:10):
Tactical sling bag which came in handy. Well, stars like
Jacob l Lordie.

Speaker 3 (58:16):
Sure he has an inevitable rotation of Bodega bags. Apparently
Harry Styles, Yeah, has I think a ponytail?

Speaker 1 (58:26):
Maybe he also has just the company I keep TV.

Speaker 3 (58:28):
Okay, well, he has a leopard print Maxie flat bag
from Chanelle My Terrors d art show. Mine was about
ten dollars on Amazon.

Speaker 1 (58:36):
Norwegian soccer player Earling Hallan that's my boy.

Speaker 3 (58:39):
Okay. He was caught leaving a plane with adult Jay
and Gabbana sicily bag straight off the runway slung over
his shoulder.

Speaker 1 (58:48):
Guess what. This summer has been dubbed the Summer of
sling bags, purse guy summer women all around the world.
I have a fashion I car fawning over men with
their merse. They're saying it's the ultimate green flag.

Speaker 3 (59:06):
If you see a guy with a merse, that's the
guy you walk see CD. This is why you hang
out with me. I'm a trendsetter. No way in hell,
there's no way.

Speaker 1 (59:17):
I tell you how nice it is to have one
of those things. I wish I was still wearing it.
But in this country, I could put my wall in
my back pocket. But when there's pickpocketers and boots, you're
gonna need to have that stuff strapped to the front.

Speaker 3 (59:27):
Listen, you and the merse what are we doing right now?

Speaker 1 (59:32):
Back?

Speaker 3 (59:32):
But yeah, the man Per Summer du purse cursed guy
summer you were, you were ahead of it all flex.
I'm telling you stick with me.

Speaker 1 (59:40):
Gosh, did did your wife Kendall know this when she
purchased it for you?

Speaker 3 (59:45):
Or this was purely for keeping belonging safe? It was
purely for keeping stuff safe.

Speaker 1 (59:50):
Although while I was wearing it, I do think she
was giving me the eyes like she.

Speaker 3 (59:55):
Was into it.

Speaker 1 (59:56):
I listen, I think good with it. I'm just start
wearing it to work. I think, have you tried a
fanny pack? No, real men wear fanny packs. Al right,
I'm gonna say real men wear tactical sleep bags. All right.
It is immersed.

Speaker 3 (01:00:10):
You have purchased the man Perpractical sling back.

Speaker 1 (01:00:13):
You've purchased a man purse and somehow, some way, the
ultimate green flag for women want. I want five kgb
Happy back to School day for San Diego Unified Fletch.

Speaker 3 (01:00:25):
While you were out in Europe, I was running the board,
so it was it was actually just myself Enrich in
here while you were out, and well, I started taking
a few liberties, I guess, with some sound and then well,
I guess we just decided we were gonna make this clothes. Yeah,
and that's how we were ending the show each day.

Speaker 1 (01:00:44):
You know what, I like it? Okay, it's different, all right,
it's fun. You know, it feels good. I listened to
it for the first time. It's very own brand. Good good, good,
good good.

Speaker 3 (01:00:53):
Tomorrow Tomorrow is going to be a very very special day,
all right, Yes, yes, yes, I do believe we were
supposed to be caring for a cat for the past
couple months, and I don't know if we have, but
I know Rich will be back tomorrow. I haven't changed
out the litter box, I.

Speaker 1 (01:01:08):
Haven't touched, haven't even looked, no, nope, but I got
a feeling the band will be back together tomorrow. Make
sure you're tuned in six o'clock on the KGB.

Speaker 3 (01:01:19):
We all can speak to.

Speaker 1 (01:01:24):
In sul Berno bye, see later. I'll pick you up
