Speaker 1 (00:05):
The weekend is over and Monday is here.

Speaker 2 (00:09):
Cat is not because she tried to hike a reindeer.

Speaker 3 (00:13):
But she gave up due to some snow. You'd think
she'd be here since she didn't go.

Speaker 1 (00:20):
Last week, I may have gone too far.

Speaker 4 (00:22):
The boys are busy picking her a new guy. Her
whole dating profile is filled.

Speaker 5 (00:30):
With A.I. Rich has a cry, a new mouth to feed,
a new couch for Fletch.

Speaker 1 (00:36):
Yup, he did the deed.

Speaker 6 (00:38):
I'm watching my figure for my new boyfriend.

Speaker 7 (00:40):
New boyfriend?

Speaker 1 (00:41):
What now?

Speaker 2 (00:41):
Like Bart Simpson said, man don't have a cow. Let's
start this week the best way we know how. It's
time to party with Big Rich, TD, and Fletch.

Speaker 1 (00:58):
We gonna.

Speaker 8 (01:02):
Win.

Speaker 1 (01:02):
We gonna win. We gonna win and win it all!

Speaker 6 (01:07):
Happy Monday to those who celebrate.

Speaker 1 (01:10):
It's Big Rich, TD, and Fletch.

Speaker 6 (01:12):
And you heard in that show open, we've got a
lot to talk about.

Speaker 1 (01:16):
It's been a busy, busy weekend.

Speaker 6 (01:19):
Before we get to all of it, I'm big, rich
sitting alongside of me as my companion, my compadre, my
dog TD. And then on the board is Fletch who
accurately portrayed.

Speaker 1 (01:33):
Has invested in a couch. And I want to hear
all about it. I mean, we've got to break down
the play by play. It gets here on Wednesday.

Speaker 9 (01:40):
And also in the studio Jones, they did not win.

Speaker 1 (01:43):
The Padres got swept.

Speaker 6 (01:45):
No, they did not.

Speaker 1 (01:46):
We're having a great weekend.

Speaker 6 (01:48):
Let me ask this question about the couch. Did you
go somewhere and try it out, or did you order
it online?

Speaker 1 (01:52):
No, we went somewhere.

Speaker 9 (01:53):
We went to three different stores on Saturday morning, and
then we landed at.

Speaker 1 (01:57):
I think we bought it from Ashley.

Speaker 6 (01:59):
Ashley Home Furniture.

Speaker 9 (02:01):
Yeah, we got to sit on everything. I laid down
on everything. I'm sure so many strangers' butts have been
sitting on this couch, and I just... laid in it
like it was at home.

Speaker 1 (02:08):
Did you go face down on the cushion? Oh, no.
I thought about it, but I didn't. You should have.

Speaker 6 (02:13):
It's so comfortable.

Speaker 1 (02:14):
I can't wait. Now, did you buy a floor model
or is it a brand new one from the factory?

Speaker 6 (02:19):
Brand new.

Speaker 1 (02:20):
It's getting shipped in from LA.

Speaker 7 (02:21):
Oh, God.

Speaker 10 (02:21):
Whoa.

Speaker 9 (02:22):
Apparently, we don't have couches in San Diego, by the way.
Everything takes like five or six days to get here.

Speaker 1 (02:27):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. We bought a couch during COVID.
A couch. Okay.

Speaker 11 (02:31):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (02:32):
It took one year to get one year. What if
we had no couch?

Speaker 6 (02:38):
I remember you dealing with this because I was privy
to and witnessed, I want to say, seven phone calls
with you on the phone with either a manufacturer, a distributor,
a logistics coordinator. Wild.

Speaker 1 (02:56):
I didn't realize there were so many people you could
actually call for a couch. It was absolutely incredible. I mean,
incredible how long this took to get a couch. But
how do you like it now?

Speaker 8 (03:05):
I hate it. I hate this couch. I hate this
couch so much. It's the worst couch we've ever owned.

Speaker 1 (03:10):
All right.

Speaker 6 (03:10):
Well, that's unfortunate. Hopefully, Fletch has better luck with his
current couch. I also made a purchase. And well, that's
an odd way to put it. I guess we made an,
an adoption of sorts. We, we have a new member
of the family. We'll get to all that coming up
next big, rich TD and Fletch. So I have a

(03:31):
new member of the family. We'll get to that in
a moment. But first go to ticketmaster.com. If you want
to buy tickets or just wait till 7 30 AM,
we are going to be sending you to see Motley
crew with Tesla and and extreme North Island credit union amphitheater.
That's a September 18th show. Now we're going to have

(03:53):
a pair of tickets giveaway at seven 30, but also
at eight 30, we're going to have another pair to
give away.

Speaker 1 (03:59):
So stick around.

Speaker 6 (04:01):
We'll tell you exactly what time to call him for
those because we're going to timestamp them. Don't write down
7.30 a.m. right now because, look, we play music. We're
a couple of chatty Cathy's. It might end up being 7.35.
It might be 7.38. I mean, it could be 7.31.
Thank you. It could be even earlier. But the point is,

(04:23):
stick around. We'll give you some crew tickets to win
Motley Crue playing in San Diego.

Speaker 1 (04:28):
We went to a Liberty.

Speaker 6 (04:31):
Station Farmers Market type event.

Speaker 1 (04:34):
With the kids over the weekend. Okay. Okay.

Speaker 6 (04:36):
All right.

Speaker 1 (04:37):
So there's like this little kids market.

Speaker 6 (04:39):
It's like a kids ran market where like in the
spirit of entrepreneurship, Kids are supposed to create items for sale,
pitch a tent in the middle of the field at
Liberty Station in Point Loma, and.

Speaker 1 (04:55):
Sell their stuff.

Speaker 6 (04:57):
And it's really kind of cool because your kid can
learn what commerce is all about.

Speaker 1 (05:03):
Right, right, right.

Speaker 8 (05:04):
That is cool. But what do they make and sell?
Because as a child, trying to think what I made and...
I feel like we made a lot of ashtrays for
some reason.

Speaker 9 (05:13):
I was just going to guess it was just going
to be 15 different booths of lemonade.

Speaker 1 (05:17):
Yeah, lemonade and ashtrays. So strictly forbidden food or drink.

Speaker 6 (05:21):
Whoa.

Speaker 1 (05:21):
Yeah, so it has to be creative endeavors.

Speaker 6 (05:23):
So only ashtrays. A lot of kids own 3D printers now.
So a lot of kids were selling you things that
they printed out on 3D printers. There were also some
kids who are into jewelry making, so those were a
popular booth.

Speaker 1 (05:42):
Wait, are we talking noodles, uncooked noodles? Well, so it's
gotten more advanced since we were kids, TD.

Speaker 6 (05:49):
They sell, I don't know, little clay things where one
of the set of earrings we bought for a friend
looked like half-sliced oranges.

Speaker 1 (05:59):
Okay. It was kind of interesting. Like, so we're walking around.

Speaker 6 (06:02):
They made these artists. These are little kid artists who
are selling these things and you like hit them up
on Venmo or cash app.

Speaker 1 (06:09):
Wow. Did you steal a child? Cause you said you
have a new.

Speaker 6 (06:12):
Adjacent to that kid's market because we're seeing if our
kids wanted to maybe one day put up a tent
and sell some stuff and learn about like how you know,
all that stuff works. Adjacent to that market was this
farmer's market called Jackalope.

Speaker 1 (06:27):
And they probably do it a bunch. Okay. And we
have one here in studio.

Speaker 6 (06:31):
Okay. Yeah.

Speaker 4 (06:32):
Yeah.

Speaker 6 (06:32):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (06:32):
Jackalope up on the wall. Thank you, Fletch. We have
a mounted Jackalope. Fletch found it on Amazon. That's $ 15
ever spent?

Speaker 12 (06:38):
Yep. Yep.

Speaker 1 (06:39):
Yep.

Speaker 6 (06:39):
Yep.

Speaker 1 (06:39):
Yep.

Speaker 6 (06:40):
Don't keep that receipt. You could crumble it out and
throw it away. Well, I'll be with us forever. But
I guess the name of the farmer's market is Jackalope.
Bunch of different vendors, maybe like 200 vendors. So we're
walking down to get a little shaved ice, you know,
Hawaiian style with condensed milk and everything. And right across
from that booth is a dog rescue.

Speaker 1 (07:01):
Oh, here we go. Here we go. So we're circling.
They had a Great Dane puppy.

Speaker 6 (07:07):
They had a hairless, I think it's called a Cholo
dog from Mexico, a hairless dog.

Speaker 1 (07:12):
That's what they call them? I'm kidding.

Speaker 6 (07:15):
Cholo Sueno or something like that. I went into the cage.
I'm petting this hairless dog. It felt like leather. I'm like,
not this one. This one creeps me out big time.

Speaker 1 (07:25):
I've never seen a hairless dog. I've seen the hairless cats.

Speaker 6 (07:27):
Went around to the other side, and there was this
Belgian Melinois. german shepherd mix who absolutely stole my heart
and i'm like oh cannot show that to the kids
we're gonna take that dog home i walk down the
line and as i'm walking back ty's got him.

Speaker 10 (07:44):
In his arms and he looks at me with with
puppy dog eyes too and she goes uh-oh and i'm
like yeah uh-oh is right and i'm like does he
love her and As I'm finishing that sentence, he walked.

Speaker 6 (07:58):
Over to me. I'm like, he's like, dad, can we
keep them? I'm like, I think it's a girl. But
you know what? Let's just hang here. And like, you
know what? There's so much candy here. Like we can
buy candy anywhere. We have a dog.

Speaker 13 (08:13):
Yes.

Speaker 6 (08:13):
Congratulations.

Speaker 1 (08:14):
Congrats. Yeah, that's awesome, man. She's a cutie too. It's
a cool little dog.

Speaker 6 (08:19):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (08:20):
I say little. Is she going to be big? It's
going to be a big dog. It's going to be
a big dog.

Speaker 6 (08:23):
She's 23 pounds at five months. So Brock is that
fully grown, by the way. He's like 21 pounds.

Speaker 1 (08:28):
Yeah.

Speaker 6 (08:29):
We're going to be in a little bit of a deal.
But super smart, very friendly, good with the kids. So
we went to this farmer's market hoping to come home
with maybe fresh peaches, and we have a dog.

Speaker 1 (08:42):
Yeah. I like that a lot.

Speaker 6 (08:44):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (08:44):
I like that a lot.

Speaker 8 (08:45):
That's what I want to bring home if I go
to a farmer's market.

Speaker 9 (08:48):
Yeah, live animals. Do you want to unveil the name?

Speaker 6 (08:50):
Dakota. Dakota.

Speaker 1 (08:51):
Ah, it's a good name. Dakota. It's a good name. Yeah.
So anyways... Post pics.

Speaker 6 (08:57):
We will post a pic to 1015KGB on Instagram if
you want to check it out. Also, coming up, we've
got to get into this. There is something simply wrong
about this story.

Speaker 1 (09:11):
All wrong.

Speaker 6 (09:11):
But before that... We've got to go to the Fletch
Zone where Fletch talks sports. Ladies and gentlemen, he's entered
the most dangerous phase of adulthood, waiting for a new
couch to arrive.

Speaker 4 (09:24):
Ordered.

Speaker 1 (09:25):
Paid for.

Speaker 6 (09:26):
And allegedly coming on Wednesday, he now checks the delivery
status with the intensity of a father tracking his child's
first solo flight. Until then, he wanders the living room
imagining cushions, lumbar support, and the sweet embrace of furniture
he hasn't even met yet. Clear the doorway, fluff the
imaginary pillows, and pray that the delivery window holds. This

(09:50):
is the Fletch Talk! We're Fletch Talk Sports.

Speaker 9 (09:55):
Well, gang, it happened again for just the third time.

Speaker 1 (09:58):
Well, the third golfer is.

Speaker 9 (10:00):
in history, Scotty Scheffler, has won multiple tour championships. He
joins Rory McIlroy and Tiger Woods as the only other
golfers who have won multiples. He did it yesterday by
being one of the only leaders of the day to
go four under par just on round four yesterday.

Speaker 1 (10:15):
He finishes at 16 under. The closest behind him was
Victor Hovland.

Speaker 9 (10:19):
At 13 under who actually led the tournament going into
the final day. Scotty Scheffler celebrated by giving his family
a hug. And then as soon as he got back
to where he signs his official scorecard and puts it
in the box, he went and got himself a beer
and pounded that beer and told cameras afterwards, said, look,
I've been in a new training regimen. I haven't really
been drinking. I just wanted a beer. And today I'm

(10:41):
getting hammered. Well, the season's over now for golf. So
we got a little bit before, you know, they really
get started off again next year.

Speaker 1 (10:48):
Right here in San Diego. Is it January? Is that
when it kicks off? I believe so, yeah.

Speaker 9 (10:51):
And it's actually called the Century Championship now in San Diego.

Speaker 1 (10:54):
No longer the old names. It's hard for me to
remember that. I will say that.

Speaker 6 (10:58):
Yeah, the Farmers Open feels right. Century. But you know what?
The reality is, like, sponsorships change all the time. Staples
Center still feels like Staples Center, even though now for
half a decade it's been Crypto.com Center.

Speaker 8 (11:13):
In fact, when people say it's at Crypto.com Arena, I
Ask where that is.

Speaker 1 (11:19):
In fact, with the golf tournament in San Diego, it's funny.

Speaker 9 (11:22):
There's a lot of people who think it's weird when
it was the Farmers because it used to be the Buick.
And it's like it's always just going back through history.

Speaker 12 (11:28):
Whatever.

Speaker 1 (11:28):
Things change.

Speaker 9 (11:29):
Padres get swept over the weekend. Yesterday was a real
kick in the nard. So, in fact, if you go
back to last week when we were all so excited
when Kwanzaa Jones and Jose Feliciano... Took over the team.
The Padres were on a hot streak, man. When that happened, well,
then she said, we gonna win, we gonna win, we
gonna win. And they've won one game since. They've played six.
So they get swept by the Tampa Bay Rays. The

(11:50):
Diamondbacks actually take back the lead in the wild card.
Yesterday's game was going the way of the Padres. They
had a one-run lead late in the game. Samad Taylor
was playing left field. Tampa Bay Rays hit a ball
that is going to be in play. It's not gonna
be a home run. Samad Taylor catches it in grounds,

(12:10):
dunks it out of bounds, giving the Tampa Bay Rays
a home run. Rough day yesterday. He's off the team. Well,
he's still on the team for now.

Speaker 1 (12:19):
I'm going to vote him off. Here's the good news.
That's all the bad news. Here's the good news.

Speaker 6 (12:25):
They get to go and play the Cincinnati Reds, who
are pretty awful. They were in last place in the
National League Central, so that does help the Padres' prospects,
especially since they're coming off this series against the Rays,
who are division leaders in the AL East. They've been
sensational this season. The Reds have been anything but.

Speaker 1 (12:47):
And then I think the Diamondbacks have the Phillies. I
believe that's right. Which you need both of those teams
to lose.

Speaker 7 (12:54):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (12:55):
Oh, the Phillies? I mean, the Phillies are right ahead
of the Padres and the Diamondbacks. Yeah, yeah, yeah. But
Diamondbacks would be nice. Diamondbacks would be better to lose.

Speaker 6 (13:03):
Yes.

Speaker 9 (13:03):
Finally, look, they say you can't win.

Speaker 1 (13:06):
A Super Bowl in August. I think the Rams may have.

Speaker 9 (13:09):
The Los Angeles Rams this offseason have been very busy.
They extended their quarterback, Matthew Stafford. They traded for Miles Garrett,
who's a perennial defensive player of the year candidate. They
traded for Trent McDuffie from the chiefs. And then they
resurrected Aaron Donald. You remember that guy that dominated the
league for years and years and years, who's been retired

(13:30):
after the Rams last super bowl.

Speaker 1 (13:32):
He's back.

Speaker 9 (13:33):
They have two of the most unblockable players in NFL
history on the same defensive line going into this year
between miles Garrett and Aaron Donald, rich Ornberger, former offensive lineman.
What do you do against the Los Angeles Rams? Other
than Pee your pants. You're pretty screwed if you're playing
against this defense.

Speaker 6 (13:54):
Miles Garrett, Aaron Donald, they're pretty much unblockable, as you
said earlier today. Matthew Stafford is one of the best
quarterbacks in the league still, and they retain him for
a two-year window here. Even though they drafted a quarterback
in the first round, Ty Simpson, it'll be Stafford until
he decides to hang it up. And also, when you

(14:15):
look through some of the key extensions they made, Cam Curl,
their safety, they get him back. Tyler Higby, their tight end,
they get him back. And on special teams, one of
my former teammates, Bubba Ventrone, is going to be Ray Ventrone,
one of the greatest guys. Bubba, he's going to be
the special teams coordinator, and he's one of the smartest

(14:38):
minds in special teams in football, bar none.

Speaker 1 (14:41):
The Rams are about to win a Super Bowl.

Speaker 6 (14:43):
I hate the Rams so much.

Speaker 1 (14:44):
Who owns the Rams? The Dodgers? No, Stan Kroenke.

Speaker 6 (14:48):
No, just a guy who owns Walmart. Yeah, cool.

Speaker 1 (14:53):
He helps that whole side of.

Speaker 6 (14:56):
The industry as well. Things are going well for the Kroenkes. Okay. Wow.

Speaker 1 (15:01):
What a Fletch Zone it was. Thank you. I'm sweaty.

Speaker 6 (15:04):
Good luck on the couch as it is. Also, the
sex and sectional.

Speaker 1 (15:10):
Oh, yeah.

Speaker 6 (15:11):
This guy is going to be in pieces.

Speaker 1 (15:14):
It's just the tip with Big Rich.

Speaker 6 (15:17):
Yes, it is.

Speaker 1 (15:19):
Just a little advice. I like to slide out your way.
It's yours for the taking. If you want it.

Speaker 6 (15:23):
If not, push it back this way. No harm, no foul.
I discovered something on Instagram or it might have been
Instagram or TikTok where there was a doctor talking about
something that a lot of people do to get rest
at night that you shouldn't do.

Speaker 1 (15:39):
And I had no idea. This is going to be
on my list, isn't it? It probably will be. I'm
not sure, though.

Speaker 9 (15:46):
If you say I have to fall asleep without Family
Guy blaring, I'm going to be upset.

Speaker 6 (15:51):
No, no, no.

Speaker 1 (15:51):
It doesn't have anything to do with television. Okay, all right.

Speaker 6 (15:54):
It doesn't have anything to do with ambient noise. It
actually has to do with drugs.

Speaker 1 (15:58):
Oh, okay, well.

Speaker 6 (15:59):
So check this out. He takes a lot. He's still teetering. Okay,
so there is now a significant link between To the
medication that's oftentimes found in these sleep aid medications like
Z-Quil or Unisom or Benadryl.

Speaker 1 (16:19):
The antihistamine.

Speaker 6 (16:20):
Yeah, yeah, yeah. The dihyphenanyl, whatever it's called.

Speaker 1 (16:26):
And it's used as a sleep aid.

Speaker 6 (16:28):
This drug, if you take it routinely every night, it
is a slow march to Alzheimer's.

Speaker 8 (16:34):
All right, here we go. Marching along. Wait, do you
take Benadryl every night? Probably for the past 15 years.

Speaker 6 (16:41):
And he's fine.

Speaker 8 (16:42):
He's totally fine. Who are you people? Yeah, I mean,
literally one every night.

Speaker 1 (16:49):
Is that melatonin on all that? So, no, melatonin is
completely different.

Speaker 6 (16:54):
Melatonin is a hormone your body naturally produces that if
you take a very small dose of, it can have
some sleep aid effects.

Speaker 1 (17:04):
Like if you take like 1%. one and a half milligrams.

Speaker 6 (17:07):
You're not supposed to really overdo it because then you
can slow down your melatonin production, your natural melatonin production. Anyways,
long story short, they're saying like if you take Benadryl
every night, you should no longer do that or any
of these sleep aids because They say to switch over
to magnesium.

Speaker 1 (17:25):
That's a little bit better of a sleep aid. I
take that, too. Or like a sleepy time tea. No,
thank you. Like a chamomile. That would never happen. Can
they put it in pill form? I have no idea.
What if you stopped for one day? Do you think
you wouldn't sleep at all? I've done that. I've ran out.
And then I just lay there awake.

Speaker 8 (17:43):
Actually, I don't even know. It may be just a
mental thing now. I don't know if it actually makes
me sleepy anymore.

Speaker 1 (17:48):
We should steal his Benadryl bottle and put sugar pills in.
That would probably work. Honestly, maybe just a couple.

Speaker 6 (17:56):
Packets of sugar just before bed.

Speaker 1 (17:58):
I do that too. That already happened.

Speaker 6 (18:02):
Yeah, so just to tip with Big Rich, you got
to quit the Benadryl. But I love it. Is it
common courtesy or an expectation? There was a tweet that
went pretty viral over the weekend, or I don't know
when the original post occurred, but it's got like 1.7

(18:24):
million views, and it's from a day ago now that
I'm looking at it. This gentleman on Twitter asked this question.
He posts a picture. He says, so this was our
table after we finished eating at Burger King today. Nothing
was thrown to the floor or smeared anywhere. Just the trays, cups,
wrappers and leftovers from a normal meal. As we were

(18:45):
walking out, an older gentleman stopped us and told us
we were being lazy and disrespectful for not throwing everything
away ourselves. It honestly caught me off guard. Growing up,
I always thought part of eating fast food at a
restaurant was the employees cleaned up the dining area. We
weren't trying to make anyone's job harder or leave the
place trashed. It was just a regular table after eating

(19:07):
a lunch. After he said something, I started wondering if
I'd completely miss an unwritten rule. Has the expectation changed
or was it always here? When you eat at places
like Burger King or McDonald's, do you always clear your
own tray before leaving or is it still okay to
leave it for the staff?

Speaker 1 (19:23):
I'm genuinely curious to hear what other people do.

Speaker 6 (19:26):
No arguing. I don't want arguing in the comments. I
just want to know what's considered normal these days. He
leaves this picture of trays that are filled with, you know,
the remaining food items. And it doesn't look like it
was an overwhelming disaster. It looks like just messy trays
ready to be thrown away.

Speaker 1 (19:44):
Why are all the cups or a couple of the
cups at least turned on their sides? Yeah, it does
look like. that might have been for effect.

Speaker 6 (19:51):
Yeah.

Speaker 9 (19:52):
I do think fast food joints, you bust your own table.
You bust your own table. And fast food joints specifically.
Unless you're sitting at the table and you have someone
coming over and clearing stuff for you, you throw it away.

Speaker 1 (20:02):
There may be a couple that... that don't let you.

Speaker 8 (20:06):
I can't remember who has that, but I feel like
there's not trash cans around because they want to come
clear the table.

Speaker 9 (20:14):
In and out, they have a spot for your tray
to go after you dump your tray off.

Speaker 6 (20:18):
In the comments, by the way, many, many of the
commenters were saying, It is a dining area with trash
cans and a tray return.

Speaker 1 (20:27):
So it's cafeteria rules.

Speaker 6 (20:28):
You bust your own tray, and then the staff who
are monitoring the dining area are going to sweep up
the packets of ketchup that hit the floor, or they're
going to wipe down the tables as tables turn over.
Their job is not to clean up after you. They're
not tipped employees. They're usually minimum wage workers. So this
was like this big debate. But you know what?

Speaker 1 (20:50):
It got me.

Speaker 6 (20:51):
Thinking like, Was there a point in the past where
it was acceptable to leave your trays unbust at a
table eating fast food? In my lifetime, I'm 40.

Speaker 1 (21:02):
I always remember busting my own trays.

Speaker 8 (21:04):
Yeah, I can't remember any time in my life where
you left everything on the table like that. Not at
a Burger King.

Speaker 1 (21:11):
No way. Out of curiosity, 888-570-1015. Where do you land
on this debate?

Speaker 6 (21:16):
Are you on the side of this gentleman who left
all this food from his family's meal on the table
and said that is up to the staff to bust
to the garbage pail?

Speaker 1 (21:26):
Or are you in.

Speaker 6 (21:27):
The camp where you bring your stuff, you throw it
away after you finish a fast food meal?

Speaker 1 (21:30):
We want to hear from you next.

Speaker 9 (21:32):
All right.

Speaker 1 (21:32):
This one has the internet fighting.

Speaker 6 (21:34):
A photo went viral of a fast food table covered
in wrappers cups. the trays the whole aftermath of a
meal and the person who posted it asked this simple
question is it a rule that you can leave your
table like this or is cleaning up after yourself literally
a part of your job as a diner we go
to the phones Gabe from El Cajon wants to weigh

(21:56):
in on the topic Gabe what are your thoughts you're
on with Big Rich TD and Fletch.

Speaker 7 (22:02):
Actually it's Gabe short for Gabriel my thoughts are and
I'm 63 years old okay My thoughts are this guy's
an inconsiderate moron.

Speaker 1 (22:12):
Thank you. Thank you.

Speaker 7 (22:13):
You know, there's other people that are going to follow
from that. I'm 63 years old and I have always
cleaned up. And, you know, this kind of enrages me.
You know, there's so many inconsiderate... He doesn't even think
about the people that might follow him because these people
are not paid to go do that. They're paid to

(22:37):
wait behind the counter and sugar your meal and stuff
like that and sweep the floors like you guys said.

Speaker 4 (22:42):
But.

Speaker 1 (22:43):
You know what, Gabe? I'm with you.

Speaker 6 (22:44):
I think that the people who staff a fast food restaurant,
their jobs are to run behind the counter and get
the food as quickly as possible. And the reason why
it's cheaper typically to go to a fast food restaurant
is because you're saving on front of the house staff. Like,
you don't have waiters running around, waitresses, you don't have

(23:05):
busboys and all that stuff because the diners kind of
have the cafeteria mentality.

Speaker 1 (23:10):
You're being handed food in a bag. I mean, it's clearly,
you're either supposed to leave or not leave it there. Man,
when I hear people like Gabe fired up, I'm like,
there's still faith in humanity. God, also.

Speaker 6 (23:23):
I'm looking at the picture. Why'd they leave a full
burger on the tray?

Speaker 1 (23:27):
Oh, yeah.

Speaker 6 (23:28):
I know that one. That one bothered me as well.
All right.

Speaker 1 (23:30):
Listen, that was the tip.

Speaker 6 (23:32):
Seven thirty five is the time to call eight eight
eight five seven oh one one five for those Motley
Crue tickets. If you want to get your hands on those,
you got to be caller 10 right after trending with TD.
One oh one five KGB trending with T.D.

Speaker 8 (23:48):
Operation Last Call. That's what San Diego police are calling it.
They're ramping up enforcement down in the gas lamp following
some recent chaos last week. I'm sure you've seen the
videos of fights that broke out downtown. Apparently there's been
a few nights of that. So now they're going to
get more officers on foot patrol, dedicated tactical units, strict
enforcement of public consumption and disorderly conduct laws. And immediate

(24:11):
intervention in active disputes will all hit downtown right now.

Speaker 6 (24:15):
Man, I'm telling you, if I had a daughter, I
would really caution her. If she's of legal drinking age,
going downtown, doing all those things, college age, I would
really caution her not to start fights.

Speaker 1 (24:30):
I'm not even kidding you.

Speaker 6 (24:32):
The majority of these videos that I'm seeing is... A
couple of women on the street chirping at each other,
and then all of a sudden, boyfriends get enraged. And
so you have, like, sort of, like, all of the
ingredients for a disaster. But then what's crazy about it

(24:52):
is then the women are getting in the fight, and
then some of them are getting hit by some of
the men.

Speaker 1 (24:57):
Yeah, it's insane to me. Because it's a fracas.

Speaker 8 (24:59):
But you see this happen at sporting events, too.

Speaker 1 (25:02):
Baseball games. Yeah. These fights are breaking out, and it does.

Speaker 8 (25:06):
seem like they're often started with two ladies, you know,
jarring each other. But I don't know if that is
also because it is two ladies that people.

Speaker 1 (25:16):
Want to pull their phone out and film it. I
don't know.

Speaker 6 (25:19):
That's possible, too, because when it's a bunch of drunk knuckleheads,
usually people are like, oh, it's.

Speaker 1 (25:24):
Just a bunch of dumb dudes fighting each other.

Speaker 6 (25:26):
Yeah, yeah, yeah.

Speaker 10 (25:27):
I don't know.

Speaker 6 (25:27):
But the videos that I've seen recently, it's a lot
of that. It's like the match is thrown... and it's
it's a couple of gals you know talking and then
arguing and then loudly shouting and then somebody's honor gets
disrupted and then boom it is like a ticking.

Speaker 8 (25:45):
Time bomb and things seem so much more violent than
they they did at least when i was a kid
i don't i don't understand.

Speaker 1 (25:50):
Because people get cool moves from movies that's a good
point everybody's training for their ufc debut.

Speaker 9 (25:55):
These days we've all seen john wick so we know
how to do cool things.

Speaker 1 (25:58):
John john wick you You kick some blood. Hand-to-hand combat? Yes, please.

Speaker 6 (26:03):
Yeah, yeah, yeah.

Speaker 8 (26:04):
Man, the cooler weather finally coming to San Diego County
as this high-pressure system apparently.

Speaker 1 (26:09):
Is moving out.

Speaker 8 (26:10):
Only a high of 82 today, which is nice because
it was a high of 92, I think, a week
ago downtown. In the high 70s by Thursday, but hot
again and rainy.

Speaker 1 (26:21):
As we hit into Sunday and Monday of next week. Man,
we need it. We do.

Speaker 8 (26:26):
It's going to be humid and thick.

Speaker 1 (26:29):
It's been humid.

Speaker 9 (26:31):
Yesterday morning was the most humid I think it's been
this whole time.

Speaker 6 (26:35):
It's been kind of miserable. We pay all these taxes
for this coastal desert climate and it feels like it's
Tampa Bay.

Speaker 1 (26:43):
You sweat like crazy in here.

Speaker 7 (26:44):
I know.

Speaker 6 (26:44):
It's 69 degrees.

Speaker 1 (26:45):
That's what I'm saying. I was on the golf course yesterday.
I was a puddle. That would have been atrocious to
look at. It was. Should have sent pics.

Speaker 8 (26:53):
Cole Trickle is back. I'm talking Tom Cruise. He's going
to be joined by Anne Hathaway.

Speaker 1 (26:58):
In Days of Thunder 2.

Speaker 8 (27:01):
They announced it on Instagram, and it says it's going
to come out in July of 2028.

Speaker 6 (27:06):
Wow.

Speaker 1 (27:08):
She's going to have the baby. Oh. In the movie?

Speaker 9 (27:12):
No, that was the whole video they put out. Tom
was like, well, when are we going to shoot this thing?
And she said, I got to have this baby first,
and then we'll start filming.

Speaker 6 (27:18):
Oh, my God.

Speaker 1 (27:20):
You got plenty of ramp up time. Two years. Baby driver.

Speaker 6 (27:25):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (27:27):
I'm into that.

Speaker 6 (27:28):
All right.

Speaker 1 (27:29):
You have the number and you have the time to call.
It just passed.

Speaker 4 (27:33):
888-570-1015.

Speaker 1 (27:33):
We said 735 for the Motley crew tickets. I believe
you say 35. Oh, yeah.

Speaker 4 (27:35):
Okay.

Speaker 6 (27:41):
No.

Speaker 1 (27:41):
Yeah. Okay.

Speaker 6 (27:44):
888-570-1015.

Speaker 1 (27:44):
Caller 10. You're going to see crew.

Speaker 12 (27:47):
All right.

Speaker 1 (27:47):
We'll get back to.

Speaker 6 (27:49):
Some other modern inconveniences in a little bit here. But first,
we got to step aside and speak to our first
Motley Crue ticket winner of the day. We got Lori
from Carlsbad. She's going to go see the show at
North Island Credit Union Amphitheater. We're going to have more
Tickets coming up in the 8 o'clock hour. But Lori,

(28:10):
you have a Motley Crue story. We'd love to hear it.

Speaker 12 (28:14):
Yeah.

Speaker 7 (28:15):
Oh, my gosh.

Speaker 11 (28:15):
I can't even believe I'm the first winner.

Speaker 6 (28:17):
Yes.

Speaker 11 (28:17):
That's great for. Yes. I worked at a dental office
up in Thousand Oaks, Westlake Village, and Tommy Lee and
Pamela said, Anderson were patients. They were married at the time.
They were both very cool. Tommy wanted to do some
bleaching for his teeth. So I said, hey, I'm going

(28:39):
to be driving down to Carlsbad to see my boyfriend
at the time. I can drop him off at your house.
And he let me. He was so thankful. He brought
me into his house. I showed him how to do
the bleaching trays. It was like so cool. He is
Like the coolest guy. So that's my Tommy Lee story.

Speaker 8 (28:57):
You know, I love to hear that, though. You know,
when you meet these rock stars and they're super cool.
But how were his chompers? Did he have good teeth?

Speaker 9 (29:05):
Yeah.

Speaker 11 (29:05):
Yeah, I mean, after he bleached, yeah. You know, who
knows what they look like now, but that was a
long time ago. But yeah, I mean, he was so
nice to let me into his house. And he was
so thankful that I was... you know taking him this
bleach and stuff i'm like no i wanted to come
into your house you.

Speaker 6 (29:25):
Know lori we have to ask because it would feel
like we're not doing our duty if we didn't is
all that happened was teeth bleaching at Tommy Lee's house.

Speaker 1 (29:36):
We've seen their movie. Yeah, yeah. Oh, so have I.

Speaker 11 (29:41):
I was one of the first ones to.

Speaker 6 (29:43):
Get that movie, actually.

Speaker 1 (29:47):
She's a catch. She's a catch.

Speaker 11 (29:48):
He did not take me into the back room or anything.

Speaker 1 (29:51):
No, he was the gentleman.

Speaker 6 (29:53):
Tommy Lee, the gentleman. So close, so close. Yeah.

Speaker 11 (29:58):
At least he was at the time.

Speaker 6 (30:02):
Well, listen, that's an amazing story.

Speaker 1 (30:06):
And enjoy the show.

Speaker 6 (30:07):
That's going to be a really, really fun show at
North Island Credit Union Amphitheater. Again, Lori just won those
Motley Crue tickets. If you want to get your hands
on some as well, we're giving away another pair in
the 8 o'clock hour right here on 101.5 KGB.

Speaker 1 (30:21):
So we received a lot of heated....

Speaker 6 (30:25):
I guess you would say response to the viral post
we were talking about on Twitter of a fast food
table at a restaurant.

Speaker 1 (30:33):
The poster's concerns were.

Speaker 6 (30:36):
I was told by another customer that leaving all my
trash on the table for the fast food restaurant staff
to take care of was the wrong way to handle
this situation. Many of you have called in. Many of
you have said, nope, that is exactly the wrong way
to handle it. If you go to a fast food restaurant,
the expectation is you bust your own trash.

Speaker 1 (30:54):
So I asked the Google.

Speaker 8 (30:56):
And the Google says that fast food restaurants started transitioning
to customer self-cleaning in the 1960s because that's when they
got rid of the employed staff to go out there.

Speaker 1 (31:07):
And clear tables. It's just literally the people who are
behind the counter who are charging you for the food.

Speaker 6 (31:14):
It makes sense to me that a fast food restaurant
would have staff go into the bathrooms every few hours
or so and make sure they're clean, facilities are clean.

Speaker 1 (31:24):
They don't really do that. Well, it depends on the
fast food restaurant. But yeah, they can be pretty rank.

Speaker 6 (31:30):
Also, you know, take out that sanitized wet rag and
wipe down the table. My only ask request would be
after you wet rag the table off, could you please
dry it as well? You know what?

Speaker 1 (31:45):
That bothers me. I feel that way too, actually. Sometimes
the rag is so wet that the table is soaked
and leaves streaks all over it.

Speaker 6 (31:55):
Just have a dry rag.

Speaker 1 (31:57):
Wax on, wax off. Miyagi did it best in The
Karate Kid. Everybody knows. All right.

Speaker 6 (32:03):
That's one modern inconvenience. Leave me the tools and I'll
go do it. Or even that. I wouldn't even mind
if there was like a little spritz bottle every, I
don't know, 10 feet in a restaurant.

Speaker 1 (32:13):
Right. Yeah, that would be fun. Uh, that's one modern inconvenience.

Speaker 6 (32:17):
Here's another, and we're really curious where you land on
this one as well. 888-570-1015. The shopping cart in the
grocery store parking lot. What do you do with it
after you finish? Now, do you bring it to the
cart return? Do you bring it all the way to
the front of the store, even inside the store if
that's where you got it from? Or do you just

(32:38):
leave it wherever you think is best?

Speaker 1 (32:40):
We want to hear from you. 888-570-1015.

Speaker 6 (32:44):
1015 KGB, Big Rich TD and Fletch. And we've had
a major revelation. Really and truly a revelatory experience occur today.
During Highway to Hell, we bring up this conversation about
etiquette warfare, we'll call it. And this time we're talking
about a parking lot. You know, you finish shopping, you

(33:04):
unload the groceries, and now the cart's sitting next to
your car. You're walking it back to the corral, or
you're giving it to the little, you know, the little curb,
the little island planter box next to your space, or
you're even walking all the way into the store. TD.
You came right out and said, I don't care. I'll
just park it right on that planter box. I don't

(33:25):
care about anything other than just getting back in my
car and driving away. That's not entirely true.

Speaker 1 (33:31):
But yes, I will always make sure that the cart
is secured from rolling. But I usually park pretty far away.
So if you want that to go in a cart rack,
you're going to have to put a cart rack closer. Otherwise,
why do you hire cart porters?

Speaker 9 (33:44):
To move the carts from the cart corral back to
the store.

Speaker 1 (33:48):
See, I worked in retail and I was a cart
porter and I was told that I need to go
all around the parking lot and collect the carts. Because
there's jerks like you who leave carts everywhere.

Speaker 6 (33:56):
I don't think that's jerks.

Speaker 1 (33:57):
I think it's jerks if you let it sit there
and roll. But if you want it secured, then secure
it somewhere. And I will never secure it in a
spot that would prohibit someone from parking somewhere. Okay.

Speaker 6 (34:07):
All right. Well, so you have, you have your own
rules and that, that's kind of where my brain kicks into.

Speaker 4 (34:15):
Yeah.

Speaker 6 (34:15):
But like, if you're bending the rules away from, you know,
what the parking lot, it's a rule. Does that go?
If you put up cart corrals, that's for, for.

Speaker 1 (34:26):
Courtesy, I would say.

Speaker 6 (34:26):
It's kind of like, okay. It's an expectation, dude.

Speaker 1 (34:29):
Just don't be lazy.

Speaker 6 (34:30):
Okay, so you don't get a ticket for parking in
two parking spaces in a parking lot.

Speaker 1 (34:36):
So you can do it.

Speaker 6 (34:37):
Yes. So you can park right over one line instead
of parking in the stall.

Speaker 1 (34:41):
But you always park in the stall.

Speaker 6 (34:43):
Not always.

Speaker 4 (34:44):
Okay.

Speaker 1 (34:44):
Depends on where I'm at. So you're telling me you'll
also double park? If need be, yes. Okay. Let's go
to the phone.

Speaker 6 (34:51):
Cesar from San Diego wants to weigh in on this.
So Cesar, as you've learned, TD is the type of
person who will do anything but bring the cart back
to the crowd. Again, that's not entirely true. He will
throw it into a planter, upend it, and dump it
over and make it very difficult for the carpenter instead
of walking it back. Now, Cesar, where do you fall

(35:13):
on this debate? Are you the walk it back to
the corral guy? Or are you the, hey, I'm going
to leave it wherever it's convenient for me? I'm the
walk it to the corral type of guy, you know?

Speaker 1 (35:24):
Because, you know, I don't want to.

Speaker 6 (35:25):
Be liable for anything.

Speaker 1 (35:26):
And it'd be the smartest and brightest thing to do, actually.
You guys ever seen Cartnarks? On YouTube?

Speaker 8 (35:35):
Yeah, that's the guy that will go up and put
a magnet on somebody's car or something like that.

Speaker 1 (35:39):
Oh, dude, yeah, that is the funniest stuff.

Speaker 7 (35:42):
He doesn't even work for the stores, and he's out
there just enforcing cart patrolling.

Speaker 6 (35:48):
Amazing guy.

Speaker 1 (35:50):
He should be arrested.

Speaker 6 (35:51):
No!

Speaker 1 (35:51):
He should be arrested.

Speaker 9 (35:52):
Dude, I can't wait until one of these days your
face is going to be the thumbnail of a Cartnark video.

Speaker 1 (35:58):
I would have him arrested. I would have him arrested.

Speaker 6 (36:00):
I think he's doing God's work because it is so
funny seeing.

Speaker 1 (36:04):
You should.

Speaker 8 (36:05):
Never, ever, ever, ever, ever touch somebody's car.

Speaker 7 (36:07):
Ever.

Speaker 9 (36:08):
Would you have Spider-Man arrested? Just saving people. He's not
doing that. He's not doing that. Vigilante justice, man.

Speaker 1 (36:14):
No, no, no, no. This is... This is not okay.
You can't, you can't touch somebody's property. I feel it's funny.

Speaker 6 (36:20):
Because he's inconveniencing people who inconvenience people.

Speaker 1 (36:24):
So, but he, what if he scratches your car? Well,
I mean, it's a magnet.

Speaker 13 (36:28):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (36:28):
What if my car's dirty? What if your shopping cart
that you park in the planter? It will not.

Speaker 8 (36:33):
I guarantee you my shopping cart, wherever I put in
the planner will not roll.

Speaker 1 (36:36):
I guarantee it. Well, what happens if there's no planner?
I'm sure. Then I wouldn't put it there. Then where
would it go?

Speaker 8 (36:41):
Then I would put it back either in the, I
would either take it to the store or put it
in one of their corral things. I would not ever
put it somewhere where it would roll.

Speaker 4 (36:48):
Ever.

Speaker 1 (36:48):
Ever in my life. I'm not getting defensive. I'm correct
in this. I'm 100% correct. The Carton Ark should go
to jail. This is your thing. It's not ours.

Speaker 13 (36:58):
No, it's not my thing. This is your thing. You're
the one who brought this up. You're very passionate about this.
Because I'm correct. And you guys just want to try
to be. You want to poke, poke, poke.

Speaker 1 (37:09):
No, no, no, no.

Speaker 6 (37:10):
We can see you're very passionate about this. You think
you're correct.

Speaker 1 (37:13):
And we'll ask others. 888-570-1015. It's not a law.

Speaker 6 (37:18):
If you are in a parking lot and you just
finished your grocery cart, are you bringing it to the
corral like, you know, a civilized person?

Speaker 1 (37:24):
Or are you leaving it wherever you want like TD?
We're asking you. That's not what was said.

Speaker 13 (37:28):
888-570-1015.

Speaker 6 (37:30):
We've got Paul from East Village dialing the show. It's
Big Rich TD and Fletch, 101.5 KGB. We were just
discussing fast food restaurant etiquette, and then we transitioned over
to grocery store parking lot etiquette. Because another one of
those modern inconveniences is when you're pulling into a grocery
store parking lot. That's the reason why one of the

(37:52):
best spaces in the parking lot is empty because there's
a shopping cart sitting right there in the planter box
and I can't quite access that space. So are you
the type of person? I do think that's very rude.
Who would park a cart wherever you want? Or are
you the type of person who brings it to the crowd?
Now we had a revelation on the show. TD said
he's not really a corral guy. I'm a corral guy

(38:17):
if the corral is within reach.

Speaker 1 (38:20):
Only if it's convenient for TD.

Speaker 6 (38:21):
Otherwise, he's going to secure the cart, quote unquote, secure
the cart, wherever he sees fit.

Speaker 1 (38:26):
Paul, East Village, what's your thoughts?

Speaker 12 (38:29):
I definitely think that you've got to take it back.
I mean, just the general decency and everything right now
is really... Not not up to par the way it
should be.

Speaker 8 (38:39):
I do agree with that, Paul. General decency is not
up to par. You're part of it.

Speaker 1 (38:44):
I don't think.

Speaker 12 (38:45):
That's why I sit here on the corner because I'm
the one that does the artwork on the building here.
And I sit on the very corner of 14th and Island.

Speaker 6 (38:52):
I just watched.

Speaker 12 (38:53):
People and their cars and their walk. They just walk anywhere.
They don't bother to just general decency has just gone
out the window right now. It really has.

Speaker 6 (39:03):
So, Paul, if you were in a grocery store parking
lot and you saw a guy who is parked, you know,
more toward the back of the parking lot, had a cart,
you know, able bodied, you know, wheeling it, you know, casually,
you know, but but but decided to park it over
a curb and quote unquote secure it instead of bring
it back to the corral. What would your thoughts.

Speaker 1 (39:23):
Be on that guy?

Speaker 12 (39:24):
Well, you should take it back to where a corral
is or back to the store.

Speaker 8 (39:30):
Paul, what if it was a mom, right? She's by herself.
Are you a mom to you?

Speaker 1 (39:35):
I'm just saying. What if it was? I'm just asking.
Are you a mom? No, I'm not saying that. But
what if it was?

Speaker 6 (39:39):
Because all of a sudden, all of a sudden, you
got a wrench in the plan, don't you?

Speaker 1 (39:42):
Are you a mom?

Speaker 6 (39:43):
Oh, yeah.

Speaker 1 (39:43):
See, that's why. That's why, yeah. So go on. You're right.
I'm not a mom.

Speaker 6 (39:47):
You're right.

Speaker 1 (39:47):
I've kept... You're right.

Speaker 6 (39:50):
I've carried my child and walked the cart back.

Speaker 1 (39:54):
Or maybe you could ask one of the cart porters. Oh,
cart porters. That's crazy. I didn't know they existed.

Speaker 6 (40:01):
What's their job, TD? To go collect the carts. This
is something he's very passionate about. So listen, Paul, the
question remains, is it part of society to handle putting
the cart back in the corral?

Speaker 1 (40:19):
Or is it up to the cart porter to do
it for you?

Speaker 12 (40:22):
I would definitely do it myself anytime. That's what I
do on everything.

Speaker 6 (40:26):
All right.

Speaker 4 (40:26):
All right.

Speaker 6 (40:27):
So we'll continue trying to find somebody to defend TD here.

Speaker 10 (40:32):
888-570-1015.

Speaker 6 (40:33):
That's the number to dial if you want to weigh
in on the great debate about shopping cart etiquette.

Speaker 1 (40:38):
Do you bring it to the crowd yourself or do
you have someone do it for you?

Speaker 9 (40:41):
101.5 KGB.

Speaker 6 (40:44):
Trending with TD.

Speaker 8 (40:45):
Well, this is not good. One person dead. About 15
people may still be missing as a flash flood tore
through the Grand Canyon over the weekend. The flooding in
the canyon floor started Saturday afternoon. It just started pouring
rain in the Bright Angel Canyon and Phantom Ranch area
of the Grand Canyon. If you know where that's it,

(41:06):
it's And I guess it just broke a bunch of
barriers and just started pouring through. But this is a
place that only can be reached on foot or by
mule or by rafting. So a place that I would
never see me. But people like Kat might be there.

Speaker 6 (41:21):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (41:23):
Don't get me wrong.

Speaker 6 (41:24):
I completely appreciate nature and completely appreciate the quest to
see something beautiful. We're hardwired to do that. I think
it's great. It's a great pursuit. Not at risk of
your own peril. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.

Speaker 8 (41:41):
But I mean, and again, this is kind of a
freak of nature storm, but flash flooding out in the
desert happens fast.

Speaker 6 (41:48):
It does. There was that awful story about how a
summer camp in Texas last summer got swept away with
flash flooding. Many kids, unfortunately, their lives were claimed. I mean,
things like that, they do happen. And when you're in
these remote areas near cities, Rivers, waterways, canyons, like, I mean,
you can't live your life in fear, but if you

(42:09):
put yourself in harm's way, sometimes harm comes your way.

Speaker 1 (42:14):
Yeah, no fun, no fun at all.

Speaker 8 (42:15):
Also not fun was a bizarre police chase that happened
on Sunday out near your neck of the woods.

Speaker 1 (42:21):
It's Rich out in PB. Happened around 7.21 a.m. is
when things kicked off.

Speaker 8 (42:26):
A cop, San Diego police, I should say, started chasing
down a guy who was doing donuts in the parking
lot of the Ocean Pacific Gym and Wellness Center. He
took off towards the beach and then got on the
sand and kept doing donuts and running around.

Speaker 1 (42:41):
They did catch him.

Speaker 8 (42:42):
They haven't released his name or age, but he is
facing felony evasion charges.

Speaker 1 (42:47):
Man, I'll tell you what.

Speaker 6 (42:48):
Now that's terrible parking lot etiquette, doing donuts in a
parking lot. We were giving TD a little bit of
a hard time a second ago about just leaving his
shopping carts wherever he wants. This guy was cutting donuts?

Speaker 8 (43:00):
What if there was a shopping cart already just sitting
in the parking lot? He hit the shopping cart and
disabled his vehicle. There wouldn't have been a chase at all.

Speaker 6 (43:06):
So you're saying that you almost feel like it's your
responsibility to try to put....

Speaker 1 (43:13):
Put obstacles in the way of somebody doing donuts and
that's the reason why you're leaving shopping carts everywhere? Your words,
not mine.

Speaker 6 (43:18):
That's all I'm saying.

Speaker 9 (43:19):
It's crazy to see the Grand Theft Auto 6 trailer
already has people driving like fools.

Speaker 6 (43:23):
Yeah, no kidding.

Speaker 1 (43:24):
No kidding. I mean, that is, if you're going.

Speaker 6 (43:26):
To end a car chase anywhere, the beach is a
pretty cool spot.

Speaker 1 (43:31):
It does. It does feel that way. And he was
shirtless when he was apprehended.

Speaker 6 (43:34):
Yeah, he was.

Speaker 8 (43:34):
He was doing it all right. Luckily, no one hurt
there as you roll out.

Speaker 1 (43:38):
To the beach.

Speaker 6 (43:39):
What do you mean, officers? Just go for a swim.

Speaker 1 (43:41):
Yeah.

Speaker 8 (43:42):
Man, there's a new trend that has men skipping their
usual hygiene routines before going on a date.

Speaker 1 (43:48):
It's called pheromone maxing. It's a viral TikTok trend that's
associated with teen boys and young men. So what is that?
Is that Gen Zers or is that? Another generation. Maybe
one behind Gen Z. Gen Alpha? I guess. Skipping showers,
skipping deodorant. They're saying that they'll even go as far
as not washing their shirts or pants. The theory behind

(44:10):
pheromone maxing is that the stronger a man's natural musk,
the more sexually attractive he is. However, there's no scientific
evidence that supports that idea. Do what millennials do.

Speaker 9 (44:24):
Dump a bottle of Axe body spray on yourself before
you go on a date.

Speaker 6 (44:27):
Kat is MIA. She's actually on a hiking trip herself.
She'll be back, I believe, Wednesday if she makes it.
We hope she makes it. However, I will say this.
She's mentioned in the past on air, so it's not
like we're outing her or anything, that she enjoys the
scent of a gentleman's underarm.

Speaker 8 (44:48):
She calls it the musk. She did say that, and
that's what they said. The men's natural musk. Men's natural musk.
i don't know if i have musk it's either i
don't smell or i stink it's one or the.

Speaker 6 (44:58):
Other it makes the hair on the back of my
neck stand up it makes me want to throw up
when i hear just i mean that all that it's
just bacteria that's all that is okay uh 888-570-1015 that's
the number you're gonna need for twofold coming up next
We're testing your basic level of human decency. What do

(45:21):
you do with the shopping cart when nobody's watching may
say more about you than you think?

Speaker 1 (45:26):
We're getting to that.

Speaker 6 (45:27):
Also, if you call in at exactly 838, your opportunity
to win a pair of tickets to see Motley Crue
and Chula Vista, you got to be calling 1015 KGB.

Speaker 1 (45:39):
A little kiss there.

Speaker 6 (45:40):
Okay, so the shopping cart conversation, we'll put a bow
on it.

Speaker 1 (45:47):
We'll leave it here. You know, so. TD's a psychopath.

Speaker 6 (45:50):
So they have car corrals in parking lots and TD
looks at them as mere suggestions. He says there are
no rules that says that I'm bound to a moral
or legal contract that says my shopping cart has to
go on a corral. So if it's inconvenient for me
to get it to a corral and I feel like
I've secured it enough, I can leave it where I want.

Speaker 1 (46:12):
I can tell you with 100% assurance.

Speaker 8 (46:15):
That my cart has never blocked someone from parking, nor
has my cart ever rolled into anyone's vehicle.

Speaker 9 (46:22):
That's fine, TD, but you're the exception to the rule
in that case. There's a lot of people who mess
parking lots up by leaving the carts wherever.

Speaker 1 (46:29):
I'm going to give the other side of the context.

Speaker 6 (46:31):
There is a guy whose now job it is to
go out there and fish a shopping cart out of
a planter box that TD planted next to a tree, which...
I mean, you could you could argue that that guy
has a valid complaint to be like, look at this jerk.
You know what I mean? I'm just saying I'm just
I'm giving the other side of the debate. And by
the way, this is no moral. I'm not adjudicating you

(46:56):
morally at all. You can park your car wherever you want.
I don't have any problem with where you park your car.
I think the cart guy is. trying to just do
his job. My wife used to be the cart guy
at Vaughn's. That was one of her first jobs in
high school. Can you imagine poor Kendall out there in
the rain one day trying to fish one of TD's
parking carts?

Speaker 1 (47:12):
You should hear her talk about people like TD. I
don't think he'd be fishing it at all. It would
take very, very little effort. Right, but it would take.

Speaker 6 (47:19):
The cart corral is there, dude.

Speaker 1 (47:21):
Man, I just think about poor Kendall in the rain.

Speaker 6 (47:25):
But moving on to another great debate of, you know,
is it your responsibility to be concerned with other people
in this situation?

Speaker 1 (47:35):
Reclining your seat on an airplane. A lot of people
who live.

Speaker 6 (47:41):
In San Diego, they're welcoming incoming travelers. Like a lot
of people come to our city to vacation out here.
But look, if you got to take a flight, it's
your seat. You're allowed to recline it. But can you
recline it whenever you want? Are you aware that you're
dropping it in somebody's lap? TD, where do you land

(48:01):
on this debate? I've never reclined my chair ever on
an airplane. So you won't recline.

Speaker 1 (48:06):
Your chair, but you'll park your shopping cart wherever you want.
I'm not inconveniencing anyone.

Speaker 6 (48:10):
Oh, except for the person who has to go and
fish it out of the person that it's job to
do that.

Speaker 1 (48:15):
That's right. They're getting paid to do it. We're done
with that one. I'm not the one who's passionate about it.
You are. But the question about.

Speaker 6 (48:23):
The airline seat is you think it's rude to recline
the seat?

Speaker 1 (48:26):
Yeah, I would never recline it. That wasn't the question.
Do you think it's rude to recline it?

Speaker 6 (48:31):
Hmm. Hmm.

Speaker 8 (48:34):
I'm not necessarily going to say it's rude. I just
think it's kind of weird. I think it's wildly rude.
Don't even have them reclined. Just have them fixed.

Speaker 6 (48:40):
I agree. So that's where I'm at, is if seats
weren't meant to be reclined, then don't have.

Speaker 1 (48:46):
A button where you can recline them. That's the problem.

Speaker 9 (48:48):
I think it's fully situational because if you look behind
you and there's a little kid whose feet don't even
reach the ground, it's okay to recline back. They don't
need as much room. If you look behind you and
it's me... And your hair is now over the back
of your seat, reclined onto my lap.

Speaker 6 (49:02):
Oh, I completely agree with that.

Speaker 9 (49:02):
I would like to take scissors or glue or something
to that hair. The hair thing, no. Invading somebody's space, no.

Speaker 6 (49:09):
But reclining, 100% okay in my opinion because, again, if
the seats weren't supposed to be reclined, you wouldn't have
a recline button. So if you sign up for an
economy seat, you know that somebody may recline.

Speaker 1 (49:20):
Recline on you.

Speaker 6 (49:20):
And by the way, when people do, there are often
times where I'm like, oh.

Speaker 1 (49:24):
Dang it. But at the same time, I'm like, well,
I guess that means I'm reclining mine. I think I
agree with all of that, except I wouldn't recline. I
would just sit there with the one closer to me now.
And be angry. I don't know how angry I get.
I just would hope that they would put it up.
But the hair thing? Now I'm angry.

Speaker 6 (49:40):
You're pretty angry about being called out for the shopping carts.

Speaker 1 (49:43):
Because you're wrong. You're trying to prove me wrong, and
I'm right. There are so many.

Speaker 6 (49:47):
Look, it's really an interesting conversation, and we somehow got
stuck on this topic this morning because of a viral
post about an unbust fast food table that a guy
was legitimately surprised, taken aback, when another diner commented on
him and his family leaving the trays full of food,

(50:07):
or I really should say trash. They had finished the
food at a fast food table. And he was like, man,
does everybody bust their own trays at a fast food restaurant?
We've always left it for the staff to clean up
after us in the dining area. And he was like, hey, listen,
I don't want to start an argument. I'm just asking
for advice here. And droves of response came in. Over
a million and a half people interacted with this post.

(50:30):
Which led us to the grocery store, parking lot, shopping
cart fiasco of 2026, where we found out. TD will
park his car wherever he wants because it's somebody else's job.
I feel like you're just kind of making this up.
You're trying to get my blood boiling. Your blood has
been boiling since this came up. But I don't understand

(50:51):
how you would even make an argument. I feel like
if I were in your shoes, I would just be like, yeah,
that's what I do.

Speaker 1 (50:57):
That's because you're trying to bring me down. Well, no, no, no, no.
Let me ask you this question.

Speaker 6 (51:03):
It's if you had i'd say a full coca-cola in
your hand okay not your fault but you you went
to turn around away from the fountain drink you're adding
in now burger and all of a sudden the drink
falls out of your hand it spills on the ground
right it's not your job to clean up the coke
that spilled on the floor why well because there's an
employee who's paid to mop that restaurant okay so why

(51:26):
would you what what would you do in that.

Speaker 1 (51:28):
Situation i would do everything I can to clean up
the soda. Okay. So, okay. The shopping cart is the soda.

Speaker 6 (51:36):
Yeah, yeah.

Speaker 1 (51:37):
But it's not.

Speaker 6 (51:38):
The shopping cart is the soda.

Speaker 7 (51:40):
No, no, no.

Speaker 1 (51:40):
The expectation from the store.

Speaker 8 (51:43):
Is that I'm going to use the cart, and then
I'm going to leave it out in the parking lot.

Speaker 9 (51:47):
The expectation of the store is for you to leave
it in the corral, which is put there for you
to leave it there.

Speaker 8 (51:52):
No, I believe the corral is put there for, yes,
for people to put the carts there, so it speeds
up the process of their cart corner.

Speaker 1 (51:59):
That they pay for.

Speaker 6 (51:59):
I'm just trying to point out where there's a couple
of inaccuracies about your argument that that's somebody else's job.
Because it is an employee's job at an In-N-Out Burger
to mop up a spill when a spill occurs.

Speaker 1 (52:11):
That is literally in the employee handbook.

Speaker 6 (52:14):
You are required to do that as an employee of
an In-N-Out Burger. But you'll get on your hands and
knees with a pile of napkins and try to clean
up a spilled Coca-Cola.

Speaker 1 (52:22):
Whereas in a.

Speaker 6 (52:23):
Parking lot where it is somebody's job to corral the
carts for the patrons if they should leave them in
a planter box like you do oftentimes. You wouldn't treat
it like you would the soda spilled on an In-N-Out burger.

Speaker 8 (52:34):
And I'm just curious, how do you square that? It's
way different to me. It's not even in the same planet.
Not the same universe.

Speaker 1 (52:42):
That's okay.

Speaker 6 (52:43):
I mean, one of them seems like a major inconvenience,
and the other one seems like also a major inconvenience. No, no.

Speaker 1 (52:51):
One of them seems like my fault, and the other
one does not.

Speaker 6 (52:53):
Okay.

Speaker 1 (53:01):
The weekend is over and Monday is here.

Speaker 2 (53:05):
Cat is not because she tried to hike a reindeer,
but she gave up.

Speaker 3 (53:10):
To some snow You'd think she'd be here Since she
didn't go.

Speaker 1 (53:15):
Last week I may have gone too far The.

Speaker 4 (53:17):
Boys are busy Picking her a new guy Her whole

It's time to party with Big Rich, TD, and Fletch.

Speaker 6 (53:53):
We're going to win.

Speaker 4 (53:59):
We're going to win.

Speaker 6 (54:00):
We're going to win and win it all!

Speaker 1 (54:03):
All right, so as we roll on here on Big Rich, TD,
and Fletch, and.

Speaker 6 (54:08):
Man, oh man, have we had an active and energetic
show so far. Only a final hour left. We'd be
remiss if we did not get to this story. And
if you haven't interacted with this story or if it
hasn't popped up on your.

Speaker 1 (54:23):
Algorithm, buckle up.

Speaker 6 (54:26):
Federal authorities arrested a man named Dajon Love, who's 35
years old. He has an 18-year-old accomplice named Taylor Jamie Chan.
What the two of these had done, these perpetrators, is
ran a multi-year romance and investment fraud scheme while posing
as 49ers wide receiver Dejan Love bought a fake helmet.

Speaker 1 (54:53):
He would use dating apps and social media to meet women.

Speaker 6 (54:56):
He claimed that he was an NFL player and a
wealthy real estate investor.

Speaker 8 (55:01):
CD, wait till you hear how much money he scammed
out of these women. Well, I'm trying to look him up.
I mean, we'll go on, Rich.

Speaker 1 (55:09):
Sorry.

Speaker 6 (55:10):
So he would share these staged videos of him. signing
a contract with the 49ers he would use ai tools
to you know to to prove his identity with like
a fake google search he would be like hey check
it out and he would show these ladies that he's
reaching out to on these dating apps and then they
wouldn't even google him they would just.

Speaker 9 (55:30):
Say things like and this is google this isn't me
just making ai things of google this is google when
i search.

Speaker 1 (55:36):
It So Taylor, what's his name again?

Speaker 6 (55:41):
Taylor Jamie Chan posed as Love's personal finance advisor, who,
by the way, he's 18 years old, but he would
join FaceTime calls to show victims face these fake investments,
these returns that he was making for his client, Dajon Love,
who was the fake football player. The pair convinced victims
to send money and take out personal loans for fake investments,

(56:03):
stealing roughly, get this, $ 1. 3 million from at least 26
different women across California, Oregon, Washington, and Idaho today. A
bunch of people were completely duped by this guy.

Speaker 1 (56:22):
And so the arrest occurred, I believe. What were the charges?

Speaker 6 (56:27):
The charges of wire fraud and conspiracy to commit wire
fraud in.

Speaker 1 (56:32):
Boise, Idaho, is where they were absconded with.

Speaker 6 (56:36):
This was all done by federal investigators, and there's now
an FBI tips portal where if you're a victim of
Dajon Love, you can contribute to the case.

Speaker 1 (56:48):
1.3 million, 26 women. It's 50 grand a piece average.

Speaker 9 (56:52):
Who has 50 grand just laying around is the first
question I ask.

Speaker 1 (56:55):
Second thing. What an off-season for the San Francisco 49ers. Dude, yeah.

Speaker 9 (57:00):
You have your head coach get into a wild, confusing
car accident. You have your owner caught up in a
prostitution ring, and now you have this guy faking to
be a 49er, stealing $ 1.

Speaker 6 (57:10):
3 million from people. Yeah, and all the while you
sign Mike Evans.

Speaker 9 (57:15):
The substation is going insane already.

Speaker 6 (57:19):
Yeah, everybody's concerned about whether or not the electrical substation
is going to impact the health of the roster.

Speaker 1 (57:26):
And yeah, then this story. Is this guy in jail now?
So he's under arrest.

Speaker 6 (57:30):
I assume he's in jail because I bet he's a
flight risk, considered a flight risk for the fraud that
he committed. It's pretty wild when you think about it.
Has there ever been a time in your life where
you were duped? Where you legitimately were sold a.

Speaker 1 (57:46):
Dream and a nightmare occurred? We'd love to hear from you.

Speaker 6 (57:49):
888-570-1015. I'll give you one. I'll give you one. I
remember feeling like such a mark after this happened to me. Oh, no.

Speaker 1 (57:59):
Yeah, it wasn't a good feeling. It never is.

Speaker 6 (58:01):
It's Big Rich TD Fletch 101.5 KGB. Hey, if you
haven't done it already, download the free iHeartRadio app. Best
way to listen to the show. Set us your preset.
It'll start playing our station right here, 1015 KGB, as
soon as you open the app.

Speaker 1 (58:15):
Also, save this number, 888-570-1015.

Speaker 6 (58:17):
We'll explain why you need it coming up next. So
I got duped. Well, actually, it was kind of a
combo plate. Annie and I got duped, my wife and I.
The kids were young. It was bath time. The house
was a disaster. I think we were expecting guests at
some point to arrive.

Speaker 1 (58:34):
We're staying with us.

Speaker 6 (58:35):
I mean, it was like the perfect storm of a
million things happening all at once. Anne's phones, her phone's
ringing and it's been ringing like over and over again
for three calls.

Speaker 1 (58:46):
So third time, whoever.

Speaker 6 (58:49):
This unknown number is trying to call her.

Speaker 1 (58:51):
Rings her phone. She picks it up.

Speaker 6 (58:52):
She goes, hello. Like she's annoyed because she doesn't recognize
the number. Person's on the other line going, hey, this
is Venmo fraud protection team. Unfortunately, your account has been hacked.
We need you to pass us along the one-time code
we send you.

Speaker 4 (59:09):
And so.

Speaker 6 (59:10):
Annie looks at her text messages. She was like, I
don't have a code. I don't know what this is.
I haven't used Venmo today. And then the person actually
asked her if the last Venmo payment was this price.
person's name like jim and named the person she goes
uh yeah probably i don't use it very often so

(59:31):
that makes sense they're like okay well listen your account's
hacked this is very easy for us to clean up
on our end this is this has been happening a
lot lately we just need the code and i'm overhearing
this from the bathroom and i'm like.

Speaker 1 (59:45):
And i'm like.

Speaker 6 (59:48):
The code that they say don't share with anybody? I'm like,
maybe that's... Can we call you back? And she was like, no.
She was like, leave us alone for a second because
it's chaos in the house.

Speaker 1 (01:00:01):
So I hear her giving the code.

Speaker 6 (01:00:02):
I'm like, uh-oh. And so I walk into the bathroom
and the person who's on the other line, I start
talking to them and Anne's like, here, you take it.
So I grabbed the phone and I'm talking to them.
And they have the code now. There's very little we
can do at this point.

Speaker 1 (01:00:15):
But I was like.

Speaker 6 (01:00:16):
I'm asking them questions and everything sounds legit. They have
all of her information. So I'm like, all right, well,
thank you, I guess. We'll check our account.

Speaker 1 (01:00:29):
Hang up the phone. The next morning we wake up to.

Speaker 6 (01:00:33):
100 different $ 1 withdrawals from either our bank account or
the Venmo account.

Speaker 1 (01:00:40):
I can't remember which.

Speaker 6 (01:00:42):
And this was just as disastrous as you could imagine.
We had to either shut down that account altogether or
we had to get all new bank cards or whatever.
But man, there are those moments where you do get duped.
And I mean, so I don't blame any of these
ladies who thought that this Dajon Love guy who is
faking being a wide receiver for the 49ers.

Speaker 1 (01:01:04):
It can happen.

Speaker 9 (01:01:05):
This one's a little easier to disprove, though. Like, rosters
are public information. If you were to type in Dajon
Love 49ers, nothing would pop up.

Speaker 1 (01:01:14):
That is a good point.

Speaker 4 (01:01:15):
I also.

Speaker 6 (01:01:16):
How did he acquire the 50 grand from each one
of them?

Speaker 1 (01:01:19):
That's insane to me.

Speaker 6 (01:01:20):
That's insane.

Speaker 9 (01:01:21):
The amount of money is the part that is crazy
to me. It's not 50 grand. It's just the average.
The average.

Speaker 1 (01:01:27):
They might have had.

Speaker 9 (01:01:27):
One whale in there that was $ 700, 000. Yeah, you never know.

Speaker 6 (01:01:31):
Maybe he convinced some lady to sell her house and
invest in whatever scam him and his accomplice.

Speaker 1 (01:01:37):
Were up to.

Speaker 6 (01:01:38):
But yeah, this story is crazy. If you haven't heard it,
Dejan Love and his... 18-year-old accomplice were scheming women because
Love was pretending to be a 49ers wide receiver.

Speaker 1 (01:01:49):
Now, here's the question.

Speaker 6 (01:01:50):
If the 49ers continue to have injuries at the rate
that they had last season, does Dejan Love actually suit
up and start catching passes?

Speaker 2 (01:01:59):
There was some rumor that Howard Stern might be retiring.

Speaker 8 (01:02:05):
Well, now Howard Stern apparently has struck a deal with
HBO to stream his show. Actually, they're going to be
taking video from about three shows a week to put
together a once-a-week show on HBO that's going to be
about 90 minutes long. There is no word of how
much this deal is. However, his last radio deal was
$ 500 million.

Speaker 6 (01:02:25):
This is going to be a massive deal. Howard Stern
has a following that is still tremendous. I mean, arguable
that it's booing an entire platform. Yeah.

Speaker 1 (01:02:39):
I mean, Howard Stern probably saved satellite radio.

Speaker 4 (01:02:42):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (01:02:43):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (01:02:43):
Yeah.

Speaker 6 (01:02:43):
Like altogether, there were two different satellite radio brands, XM
and Sirius. They merged eventually. And and yeah, when he
flipped over from terrestrial radio to satellite, there there were
a lot of people who speculated without without that addition, there.

Speaker 1 (01:03:00):
Would be no more satellite radio today. And insane. Absolutely insane.
I'm actually kind of excited about it. I want to
watch the show down with Howard Stern.

Speaker 8 (01:03:09):
Argentina captain Lionel Messi has retired from international soccer. 39
years old, he said today on an Instagram post after
the time that passed since the final.

Speaker 1 (01:03:20):
I'm assuming he's talking about the World Cup.

Speaker 8 (01:03:22):
And after giving it a lot of thought, I want
to let everyone know I'm retiring from the Argentina national
team now.

Speaker 1 (01:03:27):
Those seem like very specific words. Does that mean it's
just from Argentina? Yeah, yeah.

Speaker 9 (01:03:32):
Because the next World Cup is four years away.

Speaker 1 (01:03:34):
He's going to be 43.

Speaker 6 (01:03:35):
By the time that happens.

Speaker 1 (01:03:36):
So he's just saying he's not going to be in
the next World Cup.

Speaker 6 (01:03:38):
Also means that in the Olympics, he won't be performing
in that either.

Speaker 1 (01:03:44):
He still has his deal with Miami FC. So he'll
be playing or inter Miami, whatever it's called. I didn't
realize he even played there. He's in the MLS. I
thought he was not in that at all. He owns
part of the MLS. It's kind of crazy.

Speaker 9 (01:03:58):
He gets a sliver of pretty much everybody who signs
up for Apple TV. Because the MLS is hosted on
Apple TV? Yeah, when you turn on Apple TV, you
got soccer.

Speaker 10 (01:04:08):
Oh, yeah.

Speaker 6 (01:04:08):
Almost every time.

Speaker 9 (01:04:09):
So Lionel Messi, that was part of his deal coming
over to the MLS, was he wanted parts of the
distribution rights.

Speaker 6 (01:04:14):
Makes so much more sense. Makes so much more sense.

Speaker 8 (01:04:18):
Apparently, the kids want chalant these days, which is an
entirely made-up term. It's supposed to be the opposite of non-chalant.

Speaker 1 (01:04:27):
Yeah, I know. This is so strange to me. But
I guess... Now, younger individuals, when they're dating, they do
not want the, hey, I'll call you in a couple
days type thing, or yeah, let me get your number,
and then you have the cooling off period or whatever.

Speaker 6 (01:04:42):
No, no, no.

Speaker 8 (01:04:43):
They want a guy who's enthusiastic, emotionally available, and interested.
So I guess if you go on a date, they
want to hear from that person immediately.

Speaker 1 (01:04:51):
Well, here's the reason why.

Speaker 6 (01:04:53):
So many women, and Kat is one of them, who
consider themselves or are, by classic standards, Beautiful and say
they're having a hard time getting noticed by men. And
so I think I think we're hitting a point in
society and might be an inflection point where because of
the pandemic and so many people more used to conversating

(01:05:15):
over screens as opposed to be as opposed to in person.
more overt signals of interest are what's desirable now because
it's really hard to date, it sounds like.

Speaker 1 (01:05:29):
Now, the three of us, we've been out of the
game for a while.

Speaker 6 (01:05:32):
We're all married, but that's what's been shared online and
what Kat has said also.

Speaker 1 (01:05:38):
I didn't do the wait three days thing. Me neither.
I was too excited.

Speaker 9 (01:05:43):
I worked with her for like six months and I
was begging her to go on a date the entire
time and finally she said yes.

Speaker 1 (01:05:48):
And I trapped her.

Speaker 13 (01:05:48):
Yes.

Speaker 1 (01:05:49):
Nicely done.

Speaker 6 (01:05:50):
Some people say that the favorite scent from a woman's
perspective is Desperation by Calvin Klein.

Speaker 1 (01:05:59):
I was doused in it. I remember those commercials well.

Speaker 6 (01:06:03):
Just a shirtless man just chasing a woman through a
mall parking lot while she's looking.

Speaker 1 (01:06:08):
Nervously over her shoulder.

Speaker 6 (01:06:09):
Please come to my house.

Speaker 1 (01:06:10):
Please come to my house.

Speaker 6 (01:06:11):
Please come to my house.

Speaker 1 (01:06:12):
Desperation. It works after like six months. You know what?
I think I still wear it today. Man, oh man.
I'll call you.

Speaker 6 (01:06:21):
I'm calling the police.

Speaker 1 (01:06:23):
Desperation by Calvin Klein. It's just the tip with Big Rich.

Speaker 6 (01:06:29):
All right, so check this out. A little advice like to...
Send out your way. It's yours for the taking if
you want it. Otherwise, push it back this way. No harm,
no foul. It's just a tip with Big Rich. Today's
advice is about an upcoming holiday. No, no, no. Don't worry.
You don't have to buy anything. Well, technically, you don't
have to. But it is Labor Day, and what Labor

(01:06:50):
Day means is enormous.

Speaker 1 (01:06:52):
Sales everywhere you look.

Speaker 6 (01:06:54):
However, we're living in the e-commerce age now, so you
don't have to wait until Labor Day weekend to go
out and visit your favorite retailer. Amazon already running site-wide
discounts up to 60%. Best Buy offering 45% off major
appliances with free delivery. Walmart, they're hosting early savings on

(01:07:15):
thousands of rollback items.

Speaker 1 (01:07:17):
Love that money.

Speaker 8 (01:07:18):
Yeah, you know what? It's all because we've been laboring.
That's true.

Speaker 1 (01:07:22):
I mean, yeah.

Speaker 8 (01:07:23):
I don't understand why the sales have to come on
a three-day weekend.

Speaker 1 (01:07:28):
Why can't there just be a random sale? Oh, Ashley Furniture.

Speaker 6 (01:07:31):
Fletch, where you just bought your couch already taken up
to 60% off select seating and bedroom furniture items.

Speaker 9 (01:07:37):
I got $ 400 off that couch.

Speaker 1 (01:07:39):
There you go. This weekend in store. They had Labor
Day sales everywhere.

Speaker 6 (01:07:43):
So I remember when I was a kid, I always
wondered like, what is the big deal about Labor Day?

Speaker 1 (01:07:47):
But this is the big deal.

Speaker 6 (01:07:48):
It has become one of those, you know, wallet friendly
weekends or one of the most wallet friendly weekends.

Speaker 1 (01:07:54):
But now it's extended to a full week.

Speaker 6 (01:07:56):
Lululemon, Old Navy, Lowe's, the Home Depot, REI, all of
those places you could save up to 50.

Speaker 1 (01:08:05):
Percent or more.

Speaker 6 (01:08:07):
It's major retailers jumping in on the game early to
grab your dollars before you hit the weekend.

Speaker 8 (01:08:12):
Labor Day is kind of the last stop of the
year that you're looking to buy something for yourself.

Speaker 11 (01:08:18):
Oh, yeah.

Speaker 1 (01:08:19):
Good call. After that. I mean, after a week from today,
we're staring down the holiday. Were you guys in Costco
at all this weekend?

Speaker 6 (01:08:27):
I was.

Speaker 1 (01:08:28):
I was not. Did you see Christmas decorations?

Speaker 6 (01:08:31):
I did notice that I've started already getting advertised Christmas
stuff on my algorithm.

Speaker 1 (01:08:37):
The unofficial end of summer. next Monday. Yeah, Labor Day officially. Unofficial. Unofficial.

Speaker 6 (01:08:43):
Yeah, I said official. Unofficially end summer. Now, check this out.
If you want to grab deals, go ahead and look
for them. If you want to grab tickets, keep listening
to 1015 KGB.

Speaker 12 (01:08:52):

Speaker 6 (01:08:52):

up at not only four o'clock, but five o'clock today,
Clint August is going to have more of those Motley
crew tickets for you to win. They're playing Chula Vista
this September. If you want to go to that show,
you're listening to the right station, 1015 KGB. Man, what

(01:09:13):
a day we've had on the air today. Two separate
Motley Crue winners. They're going to be in Chula Vista.
They're going to be with Tesla and Xtreme at North
Island Credit Union Amphitheater. That's a Friday, September 18th show.
We had, was it Lori and Jessica?

Speaker 1 (01:09:30):
Two lady winners. Yeah, yeah, yeah. The crew will do Chula.
There's no question about it. That is true. And you
can too. Just hang out and wait for Clint August's show.

Speaker 6 (01:09:43):
He's going to be on at 3 o'clock and he's
going to have two separate pairs of tickets to give
away to see Motley Crue.

Speaker 1 (01:09:49):
And then we got more tomorrow. Yeah, we're going to
have them all week long.

Speaker 6 (01:09:53):
Plus, we may have a surprise giveaway coming up tomorrow.

Speaker 1 (01:09:56):
That could be in the works.

Speaker 6 (01:09:58):
We're still trying to work out, hammer out some of
the details.

Speaker 1 (01:10:01):
Sneaky sneaks. What a day. What a day.

Speaker 8 (01:10:03):
Tomorrow's also a Power Tool Tuesday, so we'll have that
giveaway as well.

Speaker 1 (01:10:07):
Yeah, buckle up.

Speaker 6 (01:10:08):
You get your chance at a $ 100 gift card for
your best DIY disaster story.

Speaker 1 (01:10:14):
So save that for tomorrow. Think on it. Marinate on it.

Speaker 6 (01:10:17):
Give us 24 hours and we could give you $ 100
to repair your home at Ace Hardware. Thanks to Frontwave
Credit Union for that.

Speaker 1 (01:10:25):
Friends with benefits. That's what we call ourselves. Big Rich
TD and Fletch. And we're out on a Monday.

Speaker 6 (01:10:32):
Can this be true?

Speaker 1 (01:10:55):
Bye, Mom. Bye. See you later.

Speaker 4 (01:10:57):
I'll pick you up at a quarter to three.

Speaker 1 (01:10:59):
Okay, bye. Come on, Marsha.

Speaker 6 (01:11:02):
I'll drive us to the rec center.

Speaker 1 (01:11:03):
Great.

Speaker 6 (01:11:05):
I remember you two fooling around.
