Speaker 1 (00:00):
Teethy last Tuesdayday.
Speaker 2 (00:21):
Tuesday's getting started and it will be so much fun.
Speaker 3 (00:25):
Maybe someone will be nicer now that the fasting's done.
Rich has his tight pants on and he's showing off
the goods.
Speaker 1 (00:33):
Why is Ted staring and just saying the word woods?
Speaker 2 (00:37):
Fletch is wishing he was golfing with his new friends
in France. Will can't waste another day looking for non toxic,
natural fire.
Speaker 3 (00:47):
Generative, organic certified cotton hiking pants. Happy Tuesday to those
who celebrate. It's bigger, It's TD and Fletch and my,
my my, what a Tuesday we have for all of you.
Uh okay, so the full cast is here once again.
I'm big Rich, I got TD, my dog, my companion
(01:07):
sitting to my right, across from him his cat, and
of course on the board is Fletch as always. And yeah,
the I guess the mass is a way to hear
the final outcome of your search yesterday? Cat, did you
find non toxis organic cotton hiking pant? I because you
also you also, very in a very patrician way, wouldn't
(01:31):
refer to them as a pair of pants.
Speaker 1 (01:35):
You were saying, I'm looking for a hiking pant.
Speaker 4 (01:38):
Yeah, hiking pan is different from a pair of pants.
Speaker 2 (01:42):
I did so different. I did so different. Did you
find a hiking shoe? I already have a hiking poop?
Speaker 1 (01:48):
What about the ive got both? I've got a pair.
Speaker 2 (01:53):
I did find a hiking pants that I ordered.
Speaker 1 (01:58):
Okay, are they the breaker? Wasn't it weird when you're.
Speaker 5 (02:01):
The only one who talks about you do?
Speaker 1 (02:03):
No?
Speaker 4 (02:04):
I think other people.
Speaker 1 (02:05):
I went to Washington. Nobody else talks this way.
Speaker 2 (02:09):
You went to Anna Chordus. Is anybody listening is from Washington?
They know it's far. Yeah.
Speaker 1 (02:15):
Those people, they don't count. They're basically Canadians.
Speaker 2 (02:18):
Yeah, practically they're on the way. I did find a
pant that I hope that I enjoy it.
Speaker 4 (02:24):
Actually ordered them from Poshmark.
Speaker 1 (02:27):
I think that's I think that's a bad move.
Speaker 4 (02:29):
Do you guys know pas it's a London website.
Speaker 1 (02:32):
That means somebody else is sending their pants to.
Speaker 2 (02:34):
Your second mandant. However, they were new with tags, so
I'm excited they were.
Speaker 3 (02:41):
Oh oh so somebody bought them, tried them on, didn't fit,
and grew them up on the website.
Speaker 2 (02:46):
Sort of reseller. Because they've got quite the poshmark forefront.
Speaker 3 (02:49):
So this is somebody like you when you were sixteen,
robbing of Macy's and reselling things online.
Speaker 4 (02:55):
Possible.
Speaker 2 (02:56):
However, I didn't ever resell things online that I stole
from Macy's.
Speaker 4 (02:59):
I still for myself to wear.
Speaker 1 (03:01):
Yeah, yeah, the nice stuff. So are these coming from
overseas then?
Speaker 6 (03:06):
No?
Speaker 4 (03:06):
I think they're coming from Illinois.
Speaker 1 (03:07):
M Okay, very good.
Speaker 4 (03:09):
I hope they make it before my hike.
Speaker 7 (03:11):
As soon as you ask what kind of packaging they'll
be put in? Since these are supposed to be toxic
free your question.
Speaker 4 (03:18):
Now, I think your most.
Speaker 2 (03:19):
Most USPS packagings are plastic.
Speaker 1 (03:22):
Well, fingers crossed your cardboy, its plastics.
Speaker 3 (03:25):
I mean, forever want to We've got an awesome show
with a lot of giveaways, so stick around.
Speaker 1 (03:32):
We'll tell you what those are.
Speaker 3 (03:33):
Also coming up next, a full update on those who.
Speaker 1 (03:38):
Didn't eat yesterday next as well.
Speaker 3 (03:40):
All right, So, accidentally I joined kats fast yesterday. I
did it at first somewhat ironically. Fasting, by the way,
is just not eating for an extended period of period
of time for those who are curious. So Kat, you
decided that you're going to start intermittent fasting but you're
going to be doing like twenty four hour fast some
work your way up to seventy two hour fast.
Speaker 1 (04:02):
That's your goal.
Speaker 2 (04:02):
Yes, So I've been intermitute fasting where my eating window
is just nine to five, so I'm fasting for sixteen
hours a day essentially. But then I started deciding, Okay,
let me also incorporate in some some twenty four hour
fast because those are supposed to like be really great
for your cell health, great for digestion, great for all
sorts of things.
Speaker 3 (04:23):
Now, TD, you fast, Actually, I think every day you
don't often eat until until like late lunch or early dinner.
Speaker 7 (04:31):
Right, I'll have a banana or something here usually in
the morning, and then I ate dinner and.
Speaker 1 (04:36):
At least one doctor Pepper. Yeah, the doctor Pepper. I
just keeps with me the whole day.
Speaker 3 (04:40):
And on Wednesday's famous same as cookies sometimes some tunesday.
Speaker 7 (04:44):
Well today it'll probably be a Tuesday because I was
out of bananas. So doctor Pepper is basically his primary
caregiver for exact Yeah, yeah, yeah, right right. But you
know what I liked is yesterday, after Kat finished the fast,
she texted the group and said.
Speaker 1 (04:57):
I made it. I feel powerful.
Speaker 3 (05:02):
I did. Yeah, that was an insane exactly are power
like than was getting the last Infiniti stand And that's
that's how it completed the twenty four hours.
Speaker 1 (05:12):
And now she's about to snap a ranger. We all
go bye bye. Friend.
Speaker 7 (05:15):
I have done fasting before, and I did not feel
any different, just hungry. I don't know, I didn't I
didn't ever get a Oh. I feel like this did
something for me.
Speaker 3 (05:26):
I buy in, like, I think all of the things
that about it are smart. That makes sense to me,
as long as you don't go like nuts and eat
one of those full pizza from that lovely.
Speaker 1 (05:38):
Italian establishment demeanos.
Speaker 7 (05:41):
I believe it was a little Caesar, little Caesars, and
it was because I was supposed to be doing two
day fast, I could get a day and a half.
Speaker 1 (05:48):
Yeah.
Speaker 6 (05:48):
Yeah.
Speaker 7 (05:48):
Then at thirty six hours, I thought, if I don't
eat that cake or that pizza, there's gonna be a problem.
Speaker 1 (05:54):
Well that's that was my problem.
Speaker 3 (05:55):
Is I opened up my pantry and the first thing
I saw, and it looked so good, was too boxes
of super moist cake from Pillsbury last night. This was
last night, and I'm like, bo, I guess I'm gonna
make cake and I said it out loud and AND's
like you absolutely are not like we have to get kids.
Speaker 7 (06:12):
But after twenty four hours of fascine, I would crack
that bag open of that cake mix and just licked
the spoon and fun dipped it just right on the cow.
Speaker 1 (06:20):
Wow, that's actually never thought of doing that mean neither,
that's nut.
Speaker 4 (06:25):
What I broke my fast with would you do? Okay?
Speaker 2 (06:28):
So you need something really good for your gut health,
because your guts gros.
Speaker 4 (06:35):
A pile of kimchi.
Speaker 1 (06:39):
I don't even know what it is.
Speaker 3 (06:40):
I went to middle school with kimchi fermented cabbage.
Speaker 1 (06:43):
She was class president.
Speaker 2 (06:44):
You need something fermented that's really good for your guts.
And then I went over to Sea Moss gel and
I ate something.
Speaker 7 (06:52):
Oh god, do you remember the day we did Sea
moll I'll never forget it.
Speaker 1 (06:56):
I puked.
Speaker 3 (06:57):
It was off yeah, oh yeah, it was hot guys
doing hot girl stuff.
Speaker 1 (07:00):
Volume three. Yeah that's ended there. Yeah, that was the
last one. They were like, no more, no more, we
can't handle it. It was horrifying it. Oh I can't.
It's like it went down and then immediately back up.
Speaker 2 (07:16):
Sms are you getting because the seamas I get, I
actually find it to be delicious.
Speaker 3 (07:19):
It was like petroleum jelly. The video like of you
mixing your sea moss. There's no chance, there's no chance
you actually enjoy.
Speaker 1 (07:29):
I do like it.
Speaker 4 (07:30):
If that right now, I have the sour sup.
Speaker 1 (07:35):
I do. I do think that is inside.
Speaker 7 (07:38):
It's because she eats things that are so bad that
sea moss.
Speaker 3 (07:45):
Hang on, you are onto something because when you break
your fast and you're excited to announce that you broke
your fast with kim chi, sea moss is like, I mean,
you're you're already there.
Speaker 7 (07:54):
Kim Chi looks like the Alaskan stuff that they bury
in the ground.
Speaker 1 (07:58):
What you know they fermented sea flipper? Oh yeah, yeah,
Oh god, what is that?
Speaker 4 (08:03):
What is It's fermented cabbage?
Speaker 1 (08:06):
Oh my god. I wasn't far off. No, no, yeah,
it's really good for you. I broke my fast with
with a chicken.
Speaker 3 (08:13):
I just ended up beating so much chicken last night,
and I got to tell you, I do feel good today,
but I'm starving and I haven't eaten.
Speaker 1 (08:20):
Was it a rotisserie chicken? It was.
Speaker 3 (08:23):
If you go to the grocery, go to the grocery store,
and you know, you'll see the grapes out there and
you go, oh, I think I should buy these grapes.
Speaker 1 (08:29):
And then you grab the grapes and you.
Speaker 3 (08:31):
Think I should probably just take a sampler grape and
say you take a crape, eat it like, okay, these
are the ones I'm taking it. Yeah, you do that
with a rotistrie chicken. Oh no, I'll give you another one.
Take a little pinch of the breast, okay. So you're
generally not allowed to put it back, and I never have,
but I remember one time bringing because I was so
hungry when I went to the grocery store out of sprouts,
bringing the rotisserie chicken bag up to the.
Speaker 1 (08:53):
Checkout down there. But it was carcass.
Speaker 3 (08:56):
It was his only bones, and she was like, you
picked the wrong one. She thought I found shift without
meat on it.
Speaker 1 (09:04):
Ladies and gentlemen.
Speaker 3 (09:05):
He is so dialed in for the fantasy football season.
He literally won't stop talking about his newly drafted team.
He has walked in the room with the confidence of
a man who's got an A one draft.
Speaker 1 (09:20):
He is walked into the.
Speaker 3 (09:22):
Room like a general manager who has just selected the
first round first overall pick. He's walked into the room
with the bluster and the know how of a man
who's about to topple a league, and he wants to
talk sports. This is the flat zie her flesh talk sports.
Speaker 5 (09:44):
All the Padres made history last time. He was going
to lead off with this fantasy.
Speaker 7 (09:49):
Sure you were gonna say who you drafted in your
mock draft when you all think I'm zig and I
go Zach.
Speaker 1 (09:53):
That's what I do. The Padres did make history last night.
Space back, spaceback face.
Speaker 5 (09:58):
First time in a hundred years since this has happened
in a Major League Baseball game, more than one hundred years.
I think the last time was in nineteen twenty. So
what is that one hundred and six years? Yeah, six
years since this has happened. It was the first time
that a team had been thrown out at home plate
three times in the first two innings since nineteen twenty.
Speaker 1 (10:16):
Wow, and that was the San Diego Potters.
Speaker 5 (10:19):
Now they actually made a plaque for extra credit bonus
points that got thrown out at home plate a fourth
time later in the game.
Speaker 1 (10:25):
Has anyone ever done that before? I don't know the
answer to that.
Speaker 6 (10:27):
TV.
Speaker 1 (10:28):
My research only went to nineteen twenty, but they lose
two to one.
Speaker 4 (10:30):
What do you mean by thrown out at home plate?
Speaker 1 (10:33):
Like they had a runner trying to score and.
Speaker 5 (10:34):
The defense got the ball back to home plate in
time for the catcher to tag out the run.
Speaker 1 (10:38):
It happened to them four times yesterday. Wow.
Speaker 5 (10:41):
Oh it was so infuriating to watch. But the Padres lose.
They maintained their one game lead over the Diamondbacks in
the wild card race. So that's the good news from yesterday.
But a wildly frustrating game. It appears Padre is the
only one to have done it. Huh, okay, game?
Speaker 3 (10:57):
Yeah?
Speaker 1 (10:57):
How about it?
Speaker 3 (10:58):
Oh?
Speaker 1 (10:58):
Look at that.
Speaker 5 (10:59):
I think it's the first time in like sixty years
the Padres have been thrown out more than three times
at home plate.
Speaker 1 (11:04):
But they got to four, which I guess is a
record good for TD. Unbelievable. Hey, John Rahm is back.
Speaker 5 (11:10):
The live golfer said a few months ago that his
contract with the Saudi backed league was ironclad, well strong,
physical force, high heat, and chemical corrosion like rust can
break iron. So the PGA Tour must have utilized some
of those things, because Rami is back in twenty twenty seven,
golf is about to get good again. This marks Patrick Reid,
John Rahm, Brooks, Koepka, and potentially Bryson de Shamba on
(11:33):
the way as the Live Golf Exodus is hitting a
fever pitch and it looks like the best players will
all be on the same tour once again starting in
twenty twenty seven, which is good news for sport.
Speaker 1 (11:42):
Well Bryson d Chambeau be there.
Speaker 5 (11:44):
Bryson to Shambau, has said, I'll leave golf, but I
may just go to YouTube golf full time because he's
making so much money doing He's the second most popular
YouTube golfer in the world, maybe third now that Lebron
James is getting into it.
Speaker 3 (11:55):
And he can still play in three of the four
major so the Masters, the US Open, the Open Championship,
they're all unaffiliated with the PGA Tour. The only one
he would miss every year is the PGA Tour Championship,
which is obviously a PGA Tour event.
Speaker 1 (12:13):
So that means he gets to play in most of
the big ones.
Speaker 3 (12:16):
And then he has this unbelievable following on YouTube.
Speaker 5 (12:19):
He's printing money over there, printing money, so we'll see.
But the more good golfers that come back to the
PGA Tour the better. Now the juiciest story of the day.
NFL Commissioner Roger Gridell did an interview with German Media
Company yesterday and said, at some point, this is a quote,
at some point there will be NFL teams outside of
the USA, and I have no doubt that this will
happen one day. Wow, where do you guys think the
(12:41):
first NFL team overseas is going to be London? Yeah, London?
And then how far behind is Mexico City.
Speaker 4 (12:47):
I was going to say in Mexico City.
Speaker 7 (12:48):
I think it'll be London Germany first. Really, that'll be
the first two because.
Speaker 3 (12:52):
Expansions have to kind of come in pairs in the
NFL to keep even number.
Speaker 7 (12:55):
But they've been doing London Germany games for quite some time.
Speaker 3 (12:58):
Well they're using the first ever last year was in Germany.
Oh it was yeah, where they've always just been to London. Well,
the first NFL game. But there was NFL Europe prior
to this expansion of games being played over seas and
NFL Europe. I mean, there were I think three teams
in Germany back then, I know it, But so they
(13:19):
had like I don't know, it was six or eight
teams if you look it up.
Speaker 1 (13:21):
It's kind of crazy.
Speaker 3 (13:22):
Some of the names that came out of NFL Europe
and then had successful careers in the NFL. It was
almost like the minor leagues. They played overseas for a while.
But yeah, so that that is coming back, but it's
going to be a part of the league and so
instead of thirty two teams, we'll probably have thirty four.
Speaker 1 (13:36):
At some point, did I throw something out there?
Speaker 5 (13:38):
Is it selfish to be pissed off that there's going
to be a team in London before there's a team
back in San Diego?
Speaker 7 (13:43):
No, no, no, no, you're completely that's completely found out.
Speaker 5 (13:46):
It's still it's just baffling to me that there isn't
a team here. It's it is baffling. It's it's this
is where the super Bowl should be every year. I mean,
what are we doing every time? Like we've done radio
rows of the past where we go to the super
Bowl location. The number one thing I hear from other
radio hos is, man, we just come into San Diego.
Speaker 7 (14:04):
And by the way, Valentine's Day of twenty twenty seven,
it's gonna be seventy eight degrees and sunny here in
San Diego.
Speaker 3 (14:11):
It's gonna be the perfect day. I mean, if there's
no better reason. I played in a super Bowl in Indianapolis.
I mean offense to the fine folks of Indiana. But
what a waste of time that was. I would have
much rather been in San Diego. All right, Big Rich
TV at Fledge one on one, five kgb tons of giveaways.
Speaker 1 (14:32):
We forgot to tell you how to win them. We
will very very soon.
Speaker 3 (14:36):
It's just the tips with Oh yeah, just a little advice.
Speaker 1 (14:41):
I like to slide out your way. Cool.
Speaker 3 (14:44):
You're just for the taking if you want it. If not,
push it back this way, no harm, no foul. It is,
in fact, just a tip with Big Rich.
Speaker 1 (14:50):
We do it every day.
Speaker 3 (14:51):
And here's some advice for you when playing fantasy football.
You may have a spouse, and here's some advice for
that spouse. Okay, so look, fantasy football's coming whether you
like it or not. If you do like it, you
can join the league. That's my first piece of advice.
Try to wiggle your way in. There's usually empty slots.
(15:13):
Somebody does want to pay up league dues. Somebody moves
away somebody becomes suddenly less interested in the sport for
their own reasons. Whatever, you can jump into the league.
I've played in leagues with my wife. It's actually kind of.
Speaker 2 (15:27):
Fun because, well, for one retch, you're very competitive, so
you probably love to compete against your wife.
Speaker 1 (15:34):
Oh, there was no doubt. Yeah, your wife has to
be competitive. Though. We can't play monopoly together.
Speaker 3 (15:40):
In fact, yeah, one time we were finishing up a
game of Monopoly and we both hired attorneys because you're
trying to divide up assets.
Speaker 1 (15:49):
It was it really, it got really awful.
Speaker 3 (15:51):
But no, it actually was a lovely time playing in
the same fantasy league. And then that league kind of
went away, and I'm like, we got to get back
to that again and figure out.
Speaker 1 (15:59):
A new group plan.
Speaker 3 (16:01):
Alternative or alternative dates, I should say, I wrote down
these tips. You want to find time for each other
in this fantasy football world. We're all living and reconnect
on Fridays or Saturdays, but Thursdays, different Mondays, Sundays, even
some Wednesdays, all holidays.
Speaker 2 (16:25):
You're saying that these spouses of people in fantasy football
need to schedule date nights around fantasy football days. Yeah,
that's ractice that is kind of crazy.
Speaker 1 (16:35):
Look it's just September to February. Yeah, yeah, no, a
big deal, No big deal. I think you're being really selfish, luch.
Speaker 7 (16:43):
Has your wife ever participated in a fantasy football league?
I guess she's in the one with all our college friends.
My wife has too. She enjoys it for about a week.
Speaker 5 (16:51):
Kendall likes it for the draft Oh he's cute, and
picks him, and then once the games actually start playing,
she doesn't.
Speaker 3 (16:57):
Here's what I would also, uh, if you're spouse of
somebody who's a fantasy football owner, especially if that that
partner of yours has many teams that they're keeping an
eye on, start to enjoy solo time, you know, really
start find a good book, girl up with I don't know,
one of those bubbly bats, and light a candle or something.
Speaker 1 (17:18):
So to what people who are alone a lot? What
you do?
Speaker 2 (17:21):
You get your paint by numbers, You go to the park,
You enjoy your Friday night.
Speaker 1 (17:26):
Man, oh man, that sounds that sounds cool. Cat, She'll have.
Speaker 2 (17:29):
Ideas, have so much stuff that you could do by yourself.
Speaker 7 (17:33):
If my wife bought a paint by number set and said,
I'm going to the park to paint and left. I
thought I would think she's leaving me. She left me
she obviously I'm gonna get papers tomorrow.
Speaker 3 (17:43):
If my wife came home with Paint by Numbers told
me that she had a DJ set, she was interested
in checking out in the park, and had Kimchi and
seamoss in the fridge, I'd be like, that's it.
Speaker 1 (17:54):
I mean, she found someone else, and.
Speaker 3 (17:58):
It's a woman who wears a lot of flam. All right,
so a new discovery at Costco. This is a place
we frequent, we all enjoy. I think that some of
us go less than others. Some of us are on
the companion pass kat okay, like most things.
Speaker 2 (18:16):
I have a membership because somebody added me to theirs.
Speaker 1 (18:19):
Wow, how would talk to that somebody?
Speaker 4 (18:21):
Oh yeah, it's been a little bit.
Speaker 1 (18:24):
Are you able to hang on?
Speaker 3 (18:25):
Are you able to get into Costco without said person?
Speaker 6 (18:29):
Yeah?
Speaker 7 (18:29):
Yeah, unless that said person went and canceled.
Speaker 4 (18:34):
What if he cancels me on?
Speaker 3 (18:36):
Gosh, and you don't know. As soon as you walk in,
you scan and sorry, man.
Speaker 2 (18:40):
I know that I replaced a different girl that he
canceled on.
Speaker 7 (18:47):
Right, hold on, This is this is how he snags
the women in his life, he adds them.
Speaker 1 (18:51):
To his Costco.
Speaker 2 (18:51):
They should have fallen out, though, and he and I
didn't have a falling out.
Speaker 1 (18:56):
You said, you've got into a big fight with this
person who.
Speaker 3 (18:58):
Had a disagreement, and then you haven't spoken to this
person and a month.
Speaker 1 (19:03):
Uh huh, you're you're about to be off that no idea,
I'll tell you.
Speaker 4 (19:07):
Right now, try to skin in after the show.
Speaker 3 (19:09):
I'm telling you you better purchase enough toilet paper and
paper towel to last you for a while, right until.
Speaker 1 (19:14):
You find a new suitor.
Speaker 2 (19:16):
I've already bought in your supply of bamboo unbleached toilet paper.
Speaker 3 (19:20):
So good, not from cost How do you know it's
a year's supply because it's.
Speaker 1 (19:24):
Only two rules. I just keep reusing same. It's a
year's supply.
Speaker 3 (19:28):
Runs out inside then use it depends on the trip.
Speaker 1 (19:32):
May bean sheets.
Speaker 4 (19:34):
Now I have a bidet installed in my house.
Speaker 3 (19:36):
Now, well, so we bring that Costco because TD went
shopping at Costco and you realize that they innovated something
that nobody really noticed needed innovating. They've come out with
label less plastic bottles in there, like thirty six packs there.
Speaker 1 (19:51):
It's a it's forty pack of water.
Speaker 7 (19:53):
So I went to buy a couple cases of water
and I see that it says no labels or labelless bottles. Yeah,
I thought, well, I don't want those. I want the
one with labels. And so I looked around and I
could not find them. And then I asked someone and
they said, it's just the waters now have just have
no labels.
Speaker 3 (20:08):
You you refused to buy a bottle without labels and
we're seeking out a bottle with a label. Well, I
didn't want to.
Speaker 7 (20:14):
I did buy them, but I so I ended up
bringing them home and then when I broke open the package,
I thought, I don't like these at all.
Speaker 1 (20:21):
I don't I want the label.
Speaker 2 (20:22):
You want the plastic water bottle that has more plastic
wrapped around it.
Speaker 1 (20:26):
That is correct.
Speaker 7 (20:27):
Yes, I wanted to because I want it to be
like it's a new water bottle, not like I found
it on the ground or I'm on the set of loss.
Speaker 5 (20:33):
It has nothing to do with the actual paper that
the label was made out of.
Speaker 3 (20:37):
It's because of the oil and the glue. They're trying
to get rid of that because it costs too much money.
You gat so that's what all right? That actually, yeah,
that makes a lot a lot of things about how
many of those packages of water bottles Fasco has that
little oil that's on the packaging.
Speaker 1 (20:50):
It probably runs up millions of dolts.
Speaker 3 (20:52):
So if you if you, if you market it as look,
we're saving the world. We're seeing the toxic glue for
the children. It's for the kids. Meanwhile, they have higher
profit margins. That's because l on the bottle. Now, I
don't care about that, honestly, I really don't. I don't
care about that either. I actually think it's a good
change because I can't stand when you put a bottle
(21:15):
of water in a cooler and it's a paper label.
Oh yeah, it gets all yeah, the label melts or
the glue gets all over your hands, and so then
you have that weird.
Speaker 1 (21:24):
Like, I don't even this is good Costco. Yeah they're
doing the right thing. Oh no, we are going to
the sony. Do you give a nutrition facts of water?
Speaker 6 (21:33):
No?
Speaker 1 (21:34):
I know. I just want it to seem like it's
a new bottle. I don't want to it feels like
an old bottle.
Speaker 2 (21:38):
Wife seem like a new bottle to the people that
are seeing you drink it or do you have something
in your mind that tells you it's only a new
water bottle if it has the wrapper around it.
Speaker 1 (21:48):
Yes, that's it.
Speaker 7 (21:49):
Not only in my mind, but as if I say,
a guest came over and they said, hey, all right,
would you like the water, And I gave them that bottle,
They go, uh, cool, refill, you know, thanks? So I
just as my wife said, it's like I don't want these.
Speaker 1 (22:03):
Yeah, it's why.
Speaker 3 (22:04):
We eat out of bulls instead of you know, dog balls.
Speaker 1 (22:07):
You know what I mean?
Speaker 7 (22:08):
Well, speaking of jump now, I just pour those waters
into my dog with their eyes.
Speaker 8 (22:15):
One one five kgb trending with td SO.
Speaker 7 (22:18):
The brush fire that broke out on Sunday out at
the lows Pinisquitos Canyon Preserve and burned one hundred and
thirty eight acres and prompted some evacuations out there in
Toronto Valley apparently was arson and they've made an arrest
a thirty year old man.
Speaker 1 (22:33):
Do I say his name? Do we give him that honor? Nah?
Speaker 7 (22:36):
This thirty year old man was arrested. Loser, yeah, total loser,
but in connection with the fire. Not cool man, Not
cool at all. I don't get why anyone would ever
want to do it.
Speaker 4 (22:45):
I don't get why you would do that.
Speaker 2 (22:46):
I also don't okay, I don't understand the science behind
how we keep being able to find these arsonists.
Speaker 3 (22:53):
Like they have cameras in the woods, they stand around
and watch it.
Speaker 4 (22:56):
They hang out, Yeah.
Speaker 1 (22:58):
Some of them do.
Speaker 3 (22:59):
And also there's there's forensics with fires, the way they burn,
the accelerator used, like the accelerant rather that's used, Like
they can trace back the source of whatever, you know,
chemical propellant they used to start the fire where it
came from sometimes, Like so there's all these I don't
know these things that these these really smart arsenal investigators.
Speaker 1 (23:22):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (23:22):
And also insurance companies have a big incentive to find
out if it was arson or accidental because they're more
on the hook if it's accidental. Right, that is correct too, Yeah, yeah,
then it's an act of god.
Speaker 1 (23:32):
Right, that's correct. That's correct.
Speaker 7 (23:34):
It may take an act of God to sell the
Lakers because we reported was it last Friday, Bob Iger
and what is it Kushner, right, Josh Josh? Yeah, yeah,
not Jared Josh Kushner were supposed to buy the Lakers
for twelve billion dollars, twelve and a half billion dollars. Well,
Genie Buss is saying, ah, her siblings cannot legally execute
(23:57):
the sale without her approval, and she does not up.
Speaker 5 (24:00):
No, this is a little mostly right, a little bit
fake news. Okay, all right, Genie Buss still held a
little bit of Lakers ownership, and so the report yesterday
was that the Bus family had released their final little
percentage of ownership.
Speaker 1 (24:14):
She is saying that her brothers aren't allowed to do that.
Speaker 5 (24:16):
So the team has been sold to Bob Iger and Kushner,
whichever first name it is. So they are now the
majority owners of the Lakers. But the report that you're
referencing TD is that the Bus family tried to get
all the way out yesterday, and Jeanie's saying they don't want.
Speaker 3 (24:28):
All the way Oh oh, okay, So they own I
think it's seventeen point eight percent of the Lakers.
Speaker 1 (24:34):
I think that's the official number.
Speaker 3 (24:36):
And if they sell all of that, obviously they no
longer have an ownership steak. Either way, they don't have
a majority ownership steak. So the sale is final. Bob
Iger and Kushner, they own it together. But Is Genie
Bus gonna stay on as a Lakers.
Speaker 1 (24:51):
Owner or not?
Speaker 3 (24:52):
That's what's up, and that's what uh, that's what's being
questioned now by Bus and the Bus family.
Speaker 1 (24:57):
It seems so weird if there wasn't Genie Bus around.
I agree.
Speaker 5 (25:01):
Seventy four was when doctor Jerry Buss bought the Lakers,
and obviously the NBA completely changed since then.
Speaker 1 (25:06):
He made it cool to be at NBA games.
Speaker 7 (25:08):
Yeah, showtime, and I've never known the Lakers to not
have a bus.
Speaker 1 (25:12):
Right at the head of it, weird.
Speaker 7 (25:14):
Pokemon and krispy Kreme are teaming app if this is
probably a genius.
Speaker 1 (25:19):
Move by Krispy Kreme Donuts, dont man.
Speaker 7 (25:21):
They're celebrating thirty years of Pokemon and you gotta catch
them all. There's five different Pokemon inspired donuts that you
can go grab and and a pokey ball, so I
guess there's half a dozen total characters to choose from.
Are the these all sound dirty? I'm gonna say the really,
the bul Bazaar he's a water poke the Sharmander Charmander.
Speaker 4 (25:45):
Is that dirty?
Speaker 3 (25:46):
He's a fire Pokemon. I know all this because my
children are very much so charm I'm the one that
the cards sell for millions of dollars. The chars are
how about this? How about the squirrel? Oh, squirrels. Squirrels
actually leave the the the hoodie called.
Speaker 1 (26:03):
He's the de evolution of a bulbous sort. I think that's.
How about a Jigglypuff.
Speaker 3 (26:08):
Jigly Puff, I don't know much about puff.
Speaker 5 (26:11):
That does sound dirty. Go back to classic super Smash Bros.
Jigglypuff was the one who puts you to sleep. Huh. Well,
then there's also Pikachu. Know that is he's a lightning bug.
Speaker 1 (26:21):
Yeah, he's he's the one that screams. Yeah. Yeah. They
call him a lightning bug. I don't know. He's like
a hamster with a lightning bowlb I know that's.
Speaker 3 (26:28):
What I like to call him, a little buggy lightning combabs.
Speaker 1 (26:31):
You know what?
Speaker 3 (26:32):
All right, Big Red Cdium fledged giving you a chance
to go to Sea World to celebrate their Bay Side bands,
Craft Bruise and Barbecue. All summer long, they've been playing
these concerts and now they're turning to more rock.
Speaker 1 (26:48):
They've they had Saliva last week.
Speaker 3 (26:50):
TD.
Speaker 1 (26:50):
We're on stage for that Uncle Cracker Cat. You're gonna
be there?
Speaker 3 (26:55):
Oh yeah, skillet soon to come. We got a four
pack of tickets for you to win. You could go
to SeaWorld San Diego dot com to grab your passes
or annual passes. But you you call eight to eight
five seven oh one O one five right now, caller ten.
You're gonna go ahead and get your hands on those
SeaWorld tickets. Okay, coming up next. It was debated yesterday.
(27:17):
We have official word today. It's big rich seating fletch
one on one five KGB. All right, so we were
debating this. I thought the debate was settled, but maybe
it's not. It's National Panini Month. We didn't know that
until yesterday. Sort of feels like we just wasted eighteen days.
Speaker 7 (27:33):
We haven't had a singular panini at least, I haven't,
you guys.
Speaker 3 (27:37):
I've messed around with some panini. I had a two panini.
Actually I had a bite of Annie's Airport panini. I
don't I don't know when the lasts of had a panini?
Speaker 4 (27:44):
What makes it a panini versus sandwich?
Speaker 1 (27:46):
Just like waffle iron. Yes, that's the thing.
Speaker 3 (27:50):
And I thought we had settled the debate yesterday. But
there's some disagreement in the room. A panini, to me
is just a grilled cheese sandwich.
Speaker 1 (27:58):
That's it.
Speaker 4 (27:59):
I say, that's a panini, right.
Speaker 3 (28:01):
I've never had a panini without cheese on it, and
so it's just a fancy grilled cheese ham.
Speaker 5 (28:05):
Growing up, we had a panini maker, which is just
a grill like a Foreman grill almost, but it has
the ridges on it, and so you just put a sandwich.
Speaker 1 (28:12):
In there, you clamp it down. You have a panina.
Speaker 7 (28:15):
Was it that thing that would take normal sandwich bread
and turn it into a hot pocket?
Speaker 3 (28:21):
I always wanted it, and we would never order it
no more. It's like it's just a waffle iron that
has straight edges. It doesn't have the crisscross. I had
an ann who owned one of those, and I actually
got kicked out of her house because I did not
use that the correct way. Well, you know what, the
leap move. That's a mistake. But a case of dia
on the panini maker.
Speaker 1 (28:41):
Is a leak. Wow.
Speaker 7 (28:42):
Wow, I have seen I've seen people take pizza and
put it in a waffle maker. Sure, and then and
then they jam stuff inside of it and slammed the
thing down.
Speaker 4 (28:52):
Cow zone.
Speaker 3 (28:52):
Yeah, yeah, incredible but.
Speaker 1 (28:55):
Yeah, okay, so so.
Speaker 3 (28:59):
Was a U flat who was disagreeing that the panini
is just a fancy grilled cheese sandwich. I wouldn't say,
you know, I wouldn't say it was a grilled sandwich
or a grilled cheese sandwich, because a panini has to
have a bunch of junk in it, doesn't.
Speaker 1 (29:11):
It means cheesey. It's a panini is anything.
Speaker 5 (29:15):
It's two pieces of bread with some cheese in the
middle and whatever else you want to put in smush together.
That's my point is the smushes makes it the panini.
Speaker 3 (29:22):
Well that's right, but it's still just grilled bread and
it has it always has cheese on it. Have you
ever met a panini without cheese? Not always cheese, always cheese.
Speaker 7 (29:31):
I think, I bet I've had two paninis my entire life.
Speaker 1 (29:35):
Only you had more than that. You just don't. You
don't call it a panini.
Speaker 3 (29:38):
You just call it a sandwich or grilled cheesee, thank you, bingo.
A grilled cheese, a grilled cheese is not a panini
as long as it's smushed a little bit.
Speaker 1 (29:46):
It's panini has to have the marks. I definitely don't
disagree with that.
Speaker 3 (29:51):
I would never if somebody offered me a grilled cheese
sandwich I called it a panini, I would want someone
to punch me, right, because it sounds so pretentious.
Speaker 2 (30:00):
I guess yeah, it has to be pressed right versus it.
Speaker 3 (30:03):
Has to look like it came off the barbecue. If
we go back to the Latin root of the word panini,
probably it just means mush sandwich. And by the way,
that has to be an Italian word, right you would think,
I bet it's a made up word, nini meaning all right,
here we go google Ai Italian without a result.
Speaker 1 (30:25):
The plural form is panino.
Speaker 7 (30:27):
No way, get the hell at a small bread roll
or a stuffed sandwich made with Italian bread.
Speaker 3 (30:35):
Oh wait, Panini is an Italian word that means grilled sandwich.
So it is a grilled cheese sandwich. If you if
you put cheese in it, now listen. I don't want
to call you a fancy boy, but you've been eating
panini's your whole life, because no way, no way, I'll
(30:56):
never call that thing a panini. I will not disrespect
my sandwich. He is so fan not just repect my sandwich.
It's big, rich, td and fledged TD, you came up
with an excellent question.
Speaker 1 (31:06):
We're not going to talk about this.
Speaker 2 (31:08):
Yeah, it's a question that a lot of people have.
Speaker 5 (31:15):
It's a marvel of the humanity that we've lived through
our entire lifespan on this earth.
Speaker 1 (31:20):
It's something that no one's ever been able to figure out.
Speaker 7 (31:23):
Listen, this, this is this is off air conversation.
Speaker 1 (31:27):
No, this isn't for everyone.
Speaker 5 (31:28):
This is you're not bringing everyone in the fold, TD,
true story, corn is a building block of society.
Speaker 1 (31:33):
Is I guess that's a true story. I guess.
Speaker 7 (31:36):
I mean it seems to be you could use it
for a building block at NASA because it's impenetrable.
Speaker 1 (31:42):
What what what? What? What question?
Speaker 3 (31:44):
What question you asked was how is it that corn
doesn't change in any way?
Speaker 1 (31:51):
Basically from the entrance to exit?
Speaker 5 (31:54):
There you go, there, you go right right because you
chew it.
Speaker 1 (31:57):
True, I chew the corn.
Speaker 8 (31:59):
True.
Speaker 1 (31:59):
I'm not opening a and a corn and just taking
it down.
Speaker 4 (32:03):
Yeah, and then if you forgot that you ate corn,
you will be reminded at some point.
Speaker 1 (32:07):
Well, I looked into this.
Speaker 3 (32:09):
I looked into this at one point because I was
also fascinated because you know, everybody's had that moment where
they've deposited and just went, what in the world am
I looking at?
Speaker 6 (32:20):
Right?
Speaker 3 (32:21):
How is that even possible? And it's possible because of
the structure of the corn. The corn is a really
those nibblets, that's what they call by the way, when
you eat the corn off the cob, each individual nibblet
they have like an acid proof shield around them. Yeah,
so like the it's in First of all, it's an
insoluble fiber, which is actually good for your die for
(32:41):
some some different reasons. But but the fact that it's
your body is using energy to break down something that's
not breaking down is actually a healthy thing that happens
now as it's passing through your system though, it's got
this like waterproof, acid proof shield around it, and it
can fight its way through your stomach, which is where
(33:02):
most things start to get pre broken down predigested, and
then the enzymes and all the gut bugs that live
in your intestines do the rest of the job and
transform things into what they end up looking like normally,
except for corn.
Speaker 1 (33:15):
It is like a superhero.
Speaker 7 (33:16):
So corn, if you don't chew it, it's not it's
going to come out whole.
Speaker 1 (33:22):
So I mean, so when you what you're saying.
Speaker 7 (33:24):
Basically, if I bite into a ear of corn, yes,
and I chew, but there are a couple kernels that
don't get knock and then I swallow that down. The
ones that made it through are coming out. That's mostly correct.
Speaker 3 (33:38):
Sometimes there can be like imperfections in the top of
the niblet, which is going to allow acid to break
it down easier.
Speaker 7 (33:44):
I'm going to say, I want to try to drink
a can of corn and see what happens.
Speaker 4 (33:48):
Well, that's what we're doing next.
Speaker 3 (33:52):
So years ago Kat joined the show and when she
did it was after I believe it was a year
after we had our first ever Steak in Bourbon night
over at K and B bstro So. Keg and Bottle
has been sponsoring parkhar Fridays for three and a half years.
Four years, four years, let's just give me the four fingers. Yeah,
(34:14):
it's a long time. And Tony Kanjo owns Keg and Bottle.
There's ten locations around San Diego. He also owns K
and B Bistro, which is a restaurant attached to one
of the Keg and Bottle locations in Del Sero, just
north of the SESU Campus. Awesome food, amazing food, really truly,
(34:35):
and we're not just saying that. Like I used to
go to that K and B B stro when I
first moved to San Diego when I signed with the Chargers,
just because it was close to our house and my
wife and I loved to eat there. Years later, literally
a decade later, I would meet Tony.
Speaker 1 (34:50):
And be like, oh my god, we go to We
used to go to your restaurant all the time. It
was our favorite restaurant when we first moved to San Diego.
Get the treat chicken sandwich.
Speaker 4 (34:58):
You're welcome, that's your favor.
Speaker 1 (34:59):
And the Russell sprouts are great. Oh yeah, he does.
Speaker 3 (35:01):
He does talk about the problems you talk about them
at the Steak and Bourbon Nights are incredible.
Speaker 1 (35:08):
And Kat, you've never gone to one of these.
Speaker 3 (35:10):
You should, even though you don't eat steak or really
drink at all, just to see what happens to us.
Speaker 4 (35:16):
Oh, I would go and hang out with you guys.
Speaker 3 (35:18):
Oh my gosh, you would not like us by about
two hours in. I don't even ever take that long.
We have gone to two of these, three of these, yeah, two,
I think I feel like three.
Speaker 1 (35:30):
I feel like three.
Speaker 3 (35:31):
We every time we go we have to have like
car services pick us up. We are so shellacked by
the end of these steak and bourbon right, Okay, Also,
I don't know what does it close?
Speaker 1 (35:41):
It ten?
Speaker 3 (35:42):
Yeah, okay on Tuesday. Yeah, we'll be there till midnight. Yeah,
as they're still serving drinks.
Speaker 1 (35:49):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (35:49):
I feel like they say that that's staying past your welcome.
Speaker 1 (35:52):
Oh no, no, no, we're not asking.
Speaker 5 (35:56):
It's usually the owner of whatever brand is we're getting
drunk with. Yes, it feels to not get wasted with
the guy that literally put his blood, sweat and tears
into the bourbon.
Speaker 7 (36:04):
There's one tonight at K and B B Strows it's
interested will it distillery?
Speaker 1 (36:09):
Oh will It's good. That's good whiskey.
Speaker 3 (36:11):
So it's and by the way, it before, when they
bring out the steak or the pairings of food, it's
not just a little something something.
Speaker 7 (36:19):
I mean, no, it's good. This is this is some
high end. It's incredible. I mean, your mind is blown.
Speaker 3 (36:25):
I remember one time I showed up late for one
of these where I missed like the first couple of
courses of food.
Speaker 1 (36:30):
And so oh you'll be you'll you'll be fine, you'll
catch up. What they meant is I'll catch up on
the whiskey. They never they forgot to bring out the food.
Speaker 3 (36:39):
So I'm like, guys, guys, but but wait, there's.
Speaker 1 (36:41):
Nothing and it was just waterfull.
Speaker 4 (36:45):
So are you guys going to go tonight?
Speaker 2 (36:48):
Only if you drive exactly what time because I'm planning
on going to Neo and egg on tonight and Tula Vista.
Speaker 1 (36:55):
Oh my gosh. Music that flo.
Speaker 3 (37:05):
That's that's what it is tonight.
Speaker 1 (37:08):
It's the Smack that thing.
Speaker 4 (37:09):
Smack that that's the name of the choice.
Speaker 1 (37:13):
Smack That Tour. I don't know what time it is,
it's probably around six o'clock. I guess we'll be.
Speaker 3 (37:18):
There rebels before that sounds good. Will only be there
until midnight, A midnight. It'll touch un to the A
country all right? Eight an A five seven oh one
O one five. We need you to call in with
your do it yourself disaster stories because it's a power
tool Tuesday, and one hundred dollars to Ace Hardware is
up for grabs. Good morning, and welcome back to a
power Tool Tuesday, brought to you by front Wave Credit Union.
(37:41):
We are searching for our tool of the week, the
person with the best do it yourself disaster story is
going to walk away with one hundred dollars gift card
to ACE Hardware up in Ocean Side, a huge reward,
especially for those who have been through the wars, the disasters,
the d I wires.
Speaker 1 (38:00):
So let's hear him light up the lines with your story.
Speaker 3 (38:02):
Eight at eight five seven oh one one five we
got We got Josh from.
Speaker 1 (38:06):
Ramona on the line.
Speaker 3 (38:08):
He said, he's got a great DIY disaster story for us. Josh,
what what happened to you?
Speaker 6 (38:13):
Yeah, well, my X and I are on good terms,
or rather were we'll see by the end of this.
So yeah, So she had a TV that she was
trying to mount to like the TV mount on the wall,
and like she had all these screws and she's saying
that she just had trouble trying to make it work.
And so we went ahead and I came over and
(38:36):
we put the screws on the back of the TV
and got it on the mountain stuff. The top two
screws were the only ones that were holding. The bottom
two were like the wrong size or lose or whatever.
So anyway, I go to mount it up and then
somehow it like kind of snapped at the top and
then just fell on the ground and now it's broken inside. Perfect,
(38:56):
I gotta get her another TV.
Speaker 7 (38:58):
So so so, Josh, you just the top chairs crews,
they're in the bottom ones.
Speaker 3 (39:03):
They don't fit. And he thought, yeah, I'm gonna be
honest with it. He goes over to his ex's house.
They're screwing. There's mounting and a TV on the floor.
It sounds like the TV wasn't touched. Josh, Yeah, I
know this sounds so dumb, but like I just thought,
for a second, well if.
Speaker 6 (39:23):
If half of them are in maybe, but it just
was such a bad instinct.
Speaker 4 (39:28):
That is a bad instinct.
Speaker 3 (39:30):
Yeah, there's so much more we could do with this,
but my gosh, we'll get banned by the FCC.
Speaker 1 (39:40):
Right all right, well Josh, uh that is up on
the board. Perfect.
Speaker 3 (39:45):
We have a DIY disaster story. And uh and you know,
good luck, good luck with the X man.
Speaker 1 (39:51):

North County has called in. He said, no, no, no, no,
I got the one. I got the story for you guys.
Speaker 1 (40:28):
What is it, Pat? What happened to you?
Speaker 8 (40:29):
Well, I'm a general contractor and I do demo and
remodel work and everything.
Speaker 9 (40:33):
And you know, you find.
Speaker 3 (40:34):
All the patches on the walls that people.
Speaker 9 (40:36):
Make, find all the mistakes.
Speaker 8 (40:38):
In the wall everything.
Speaker 1 (40:39):
You know, beer cans food.
Speaker 3 (40:42):
I found a Del Taco burrito wrapper as the patch
for the dry.
Speaker 9 (40:47):
Wall and it was a six by six punch call
in the wall and put a Dell top emburio wrapper
over it.
Speaker 6 (40:54):
Muddy over that texture day.
Speaker 1 (40:56):
Listen, I could believe it.
Speaker 7 (40:58):
Listen, the CD was on the construction. Yeah, you got
you gotta you gotta be resourceful.
Speaker 1 (41:02):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (41:03):
I also want to know was that a good fix?
Speaker 3 (41:05):
Well, you know it worked.
Speaker 1 (41:07):
Nobody knew it.
Speaker 9 (41:07):
It was up high on the wall. But if you
don't know about the drywalling and everything that the paper.
Speaker 5 (41:13):
For that burrita wrapper, it would have been good if
you were putting drywall on and using it as tape.
Speaker 3 (41:17):
Right, oh right, right, right right. Yeah, that's so brilliant.
Speaker 7 (41:22):
Oow that's uh yeah, that feels like a genius level move. Also,
it feels like someone.
Speaker 3 (41:27):
Was very, very lazy and thought, I really don't want
to walk back to the car.
Speaker 1 (41:32):
Yeah, so I'm just gonna use what I got in
my hand. I'm just gonna go ahead and fish don't Talco.
Speaker 3 (41:37):
Burrito and then we're gonna we're gonna mug some drywalls.
Speaker 1 (41:40):
We're gonna call this day over. I want to get
out of here.
Speaker 3 (41:43):
That was a six pm decision out in my mind,
that was a three three thirty PM decision. That was

Speaker 7 (42:18):
Apparently the COVID pandemic created a permanent class of young
adult shut ins. That's according to a new report, nearly
ten percent of all gen zers say they have zero
face to face interactions with another person in their daily life.
Speaker 1 (42:35):
One out of ten that is no, no interactions. Wow.
Speaker 2 (42:40):
You know, if you don't go to work, and or
maybe you work from home. Let's say, okay, and if
it's a day where you don't go to the gym,
or you don't go to the grocery store, or maybe
you're somebody who doesn't go to the gym, or you
work out from home, or you get your groceries delivered
like a lot of people do.
Speaker 4 (42:57):
Then yeah, what point would you have an interaction with
some buddy?
Speaker 3 (43:00):
But if you have your groceries deliver, do they knock
on the door. No?
Speaker 2 (43:03):
No, the outside on the door they knock, or they
don't even knock. It's like the contactless delivery. You get
a notification on your phone that you.
Speaker 1 (43:13):
Do have just a bunch of foods sitting in front
your house.
Speaker 6 (43:15):
Yeah.
Speaker 5 (43:16):
I have a buddy up in the Bay Area who
we almost like had to stage an intervention for him
because he went a week without leaving his apartment.
Speaker 1 (43:22):
It's like, it's a problem. He's a lonely girl.
Speaker 4 (43:25):
How do you know that we.
Speaker 1 (43:26):
Talked to him daily. He plays video games with us.
Speaker 3 (43:28):
Oh, he talked to him daily, But he went like
a whole week without leaving his apartment.
Speaker 1 (43:31):
Oh, it's it's actually, it's really sad.
Speaker 3 (43:34):
And yeah, shutting people down and leaving them in their
house even Like, don't get me wrong, at the onset
of COVID, when nobody knew how viral or fatal or
deadly this was going to be, I get it, Like,
you know, you're just trying to figure it out. You're
catching up on the fly. But as more and more
of the studies came out the fact that they were
still limiting how much time people could spend with each other,
(43:56):
it did real damage. Oh, I A, it did irreparable
damage to society.
Speaker 7 (44:01):
And I think what is crazy about it is that
will not be erased or reset until this generation that
ran through it dies well, it.
Speaker 3 (44:12):
Literally goes away if you think about it. A lot
of those those people, I mean that trauma that they're
carrying with them clearly that they have had, you know,
growing up during that time.
Speaker 1 (44:23):
They may not You're right, they may die off. They
may not find a mate. They might you know what
I mean. If you're not meeting people, how that's weird.
That's so so sad. Yeah, man, you know what also
is sad? So Cad and Flatch. You guys are big
fans of Fast and the Furious. Yes, great flicks.
Speaker 7 (44:39):
Yeah, well, maybe not the biggest fans, because apparently on
Monday night, they return to their La Rooth with a
special twenty fifth anniversary screening and the Director's Village Theater,
the same spot where the film first premiered in two
thousand and one.
Speaker 1 (44:54):
Tyreese was there.
Speaker 7 (44:56):
Meadow Walker, the daughter of the late star Paul Walker.
Diesel introduced them and cried up on stage. And you
guys didn't.
Speaker 4 (45:04):
Even know about it, chopped up on my timeline.
Speaker 5 (45:07):
I did know about it because they were running previews
for the last couple of months in theaters before movies
that this was going to be happening sounds awesome.
Speaker 1 (45:12):
Her name is Meta med Meadow, Oh Meadow. Meadow was
a big fan of the Sopranos.
Speaker 3 (45:18):
At this point, it's like like naming your daughter Alexa.
Speaker 2 (45:23):
Honestly, yeah, I also can't believe it's been twenty five years.
The first one came out when I was thirteen.
Speaker 7 (45:29):
I don't believe that people like this movie, let alone
to movie franchise, Cee.
Speaker 1 (45:34):
Have you even watched one of them? I've watched several
minutes of one in thought, this is the dumbest thing
I've ever seen it.
Speaker 3 (45:40):
It is family, it's great theme. You are correct. I
don't get it. It is so dumb. I don't trust
Ted's taste in movies at all. I will say that.
But I've watched Fast and Furious movies all the way through.
I don't really understand the fascination.
Speaker 1 (45:56):
They're fun.
Speaker 4 (45:56):
It is.
Speaker 1 (45:57):
It's one movie.
Speaker 4 (45:58):
It's fun.
Speaker 5 (45:59):
It's you don't have to think that hard. It's been
Diesel blowing stuff up. It's been Diesel fighting with the rockets.
Paul Walker looking handsome as Hill driving fast car.
Speaker 1 (46:06):
Yeah, but that's it. But the problem is is they
are so fake.
Speaker 3 (46:10):
I mean, right out of the gate, there's a car
driving underneath a semi tractor trailer like that car's not gonna.
Speaker 5 (46:17):
Sell fake and people love them. Oh my gosh, I'm
TD and I hate fun worries me.
Speaker 7 (46:22):
It worries me for the future of society is where
does Man Man?
Speaker 1 (46:26):
Spider Man is getting paid.
Speaker 7 (46:29):
According to three individuals that know about Tom Holland's deal,
they're saying they had a base salary of twenty million
dollars up front to do the new Brand New Day movie.
Well with the bonuses his bonus structure. Currently, he's being
paid over one hundred million dollars for this movie and
if it keeps hitting bonuses, he could see two hundred
(46:51):
million dollars.
Speaker 1 (46:51):
Do you know how much you got paid for the
First Spider Man three? I'm gonna guess he got paid
hundreds of thousands of his deal was two hundred and
fifty grand.
Speaker 5 (46:58):
Oh yeah, yeah, Wait was that his first appearance of
Spider Man, because that was in the Captain America Civil War.
Speaker 1 (47:03):
He was on screen for like fifteen minutes.
Speaker 3 (47:05):
Well, it's an In this particular article, it says the
first Spider Man, Yes, first Spider Man, and honestly, like
when you when you are an emerging star. You could
be the lead role in a movie for a quarter
million dollars and you accept it because it's your chance
at breaking big.
Speaker 1 (47:18):
And he is, well, I mean it's Spider Man.
Speaker 7 (47:20):
It's gonna make money and who whee man a couple
hundred million dollars.

Carlsbad on this Power Tool Tuesday, brought to you by
front Wave Credit Union. On power Tool Tuesdays, we gather
your best diwide disaster stories for your chance at winning
a one hundred dollars gift card to ACE Hardware up
the Ocean side.
Speaker 1 (48:26):
Michael, you got a diwid disaster story for us?
Speaker 9 (48:29):
Hey, you know, I'm electrician. So a friend of mine
called me to help him hook up some lights in
his garage. And he already ran the wire and put
the boxes in, so all the work was done primarily.
So I go there and start, you know, wiring up his.
Speaker 6 (48:48):
A junction boxes.
Speaker 9 (48:50):
He got to the point to where he got too
nervous to do it anymore. So what I found out
was when I got there, the wires were hot, they
were on, and he already started stripping the wires, but
without any tools, he stuck the wires.
Speaker 6 (49:12):
In his mouth.
Speaker 1 (49:13):
Oh, he used.
Speaker 9 (49:14):
His chee to strip the wires. His license what he
didn't and he didn't realize that they were on. So
I go there and I started. You know, the first
thing you do is you test the wires, see if
there's any juice on us, I asked him uh, did
(49:35):
you already hook it up? He goes, no, I go, well,
you know these wires are hot, right, and he just
turned as wide as a sheep.
Speaker 2 (49:45):
Oh my gosh, would that be enough to kill somebody?
Speaker 1 (49:48):
Could if there was a load? Yeah, it could.
Speaker 4 (49:52):
Heart my gosh.
Speaker 1 (49:53):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (49:54):
I mean you you just hope that there's some sort
of use or a breaker somewhere that'll trip so it
doesn't doesn't kill you.
Speaker 1 (50:00):
He doesn't electric cue. It just shocks the heck at you.
Speaker 4 (50:03):
So lucky.
Speaker 3 (50:04):
Oh yeah, well, Michael, you saved the day. Man, you
prevented the disaster. That's awesome, I'll tell you.
Speaker 9 (50:11):
Yeah, thank you.
Speaker 1 (50:12):
Yeah.
Speaker 7 (50:13):
I mean if I was his wife, i'd he's so
mad because think how long it would take you. It's
chew off the wire before you get this job done.
Speaker 1 (50:18):
Yeah. Yeah.
Speaker 3 (50:20):
Also the guy who is chewing the wire his wife
because think about the life insurance. Oh, so many things,
many things.
Speaker 1 (50:29):
Thank you, Michael. Stay on the line.
Speaker 3 (50:31):
We're gonna collect a little more info from you. And
that's how it works. Give us your best DIY disaster
story for your chance at one hundred dollars gift card
to Ace Hardware. All brought to you by front Wave,
Credit Union, a power tool Tuesday.
Speaker 1 (50:43):
Man, you're friends with benefits. We strike again. You're friends
with Benny's in the morning.
Speaker 3 (50:51):
It's big rich tdium fledged and there are many benefits
listening to this show.
Speaker 1 (50:55):
And we are your friends. So technically we're your friends
with benefits.
Speaker 3 (50:58):
Now our most recent I shouldn't say most recent friend,
but I guess a long time listener first time winner
on the show.
Speaker 1 (51:07):
Pat from North County.
Speaker 3 (51:09):
Called in and he was talking about how he was
doing a little general contracting work and got a little
suspicious about the way somebody plastered some drywall something a
little funny, did a little demo and found this.
Speaker 4 (51:27):
He found that he won.
Speaker 1 (51:29):
I thought the same thing. I thought, talko burrito wrap
it was.
Speaker 3 (51:32):
It was, well, talkoo wrapper. That's great, it's great using that,
so you have He said it was a six by
six hole in the wall that was just punched right
through the drywall.
Speaker 7 (51:43):
Which he also said it was up high. So somebody
got up on a ladder and then punched the wall.
Speaker 4 (51:48):
I mean they threw a.
Speaker 2 (51:48):
Ball through it like they an elbow, like maybe they
were turning from the ladder and incidentally threw their elbow quick.
Speaker 1 (51:55):
Time out, quick, time out? Everyone. How many ladders have
you stood like that?
Speaker 4 (52:01):
I don't own a ladder.
Speaker 2 (52:02):
I do own a stepping stool when I need to
reach my cupboards.
Speaker 3 (52:05):
But like, how many moves are you doing that you
would generate enough like torsional speed to slam an.
Speaker 4 (52:13):
Elbow through dry What could happen?
Speaker 2 (52:15):
Maybe you're falling, You're going down, and in the effort
to try to save yourself, you're slailing around, you throw
a bow through the drywall.
Speaker 3 (52:22):
Like all right, better set up this ladder again and
use this burrito wrapper to fix it.
Speaker 1 (52:28):
If I said the word.
Speaker 3 (52:29):
Bow, you might think I was talking about a bow
and arrow. Oh yeah, actually is what I thought you meant.
That's what I thought you meant as arrow. But then
where I thought you were I thought the same thing.
Speaker 7 (52:42):
And then I thought, maybe she's trying to save both,
like a bow in your hair or something horrid cheerleading bow.
Speaker 1 (52:48):
I don't know what you're talking. My next thought was bowl.
I was like, maybe she said she means somebody threw
a bowl. You can't abbreviate elbow to bow. No one
knows that. Congrats past oh Man.
Speaker 3 (53:01):
I was just texting with Cat's friend Kate the nurse
about peptides. I'm gonna get fletched, so friggin' jacked.
Speaker 1 (53:07):
It's gonna be unbelievable.
Speaker 4 (53:09):
Are you ordering peptides for the group?
Speaker 1 (53:11):
Oh?
Speaker 3 (53:11):
Yeah, you just give me steroids. Well, they're not steroids,
they're peptides. I'm gonna start injecting you now. Listen, wait, wait,
what what what do peptides do?
Speaker 2 (53:19):
I thought there were These are naturally occurring things that
you already have in your body.
Speaker 1 (53:22):
And why do we inject them because.
Speaker 4 (53:24):
A lot of people are low on.
Speaker 1 (53:26):
It's for for fun science at home.
Speaker 3 (53:29):
Okay, okay, good, good, good.
Speaker 1 (53:31):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (53:32):
It's like if you're low on vitamin D or you're
low on vitamin C, then you supplement that peptide is
supplementing the things that you already have in your body.
Speaker 1 (53:40):
No, dude, it's not.
Speaker 3 (53:41):
Because you see results immediately it's really good.
Speaker 1 (53:45):
So, but it's it's basically all right, think of it
this way.
Speaker 3 (53:48):
So, uh, like a protein is made up of amino acids, right, Okay,
so the competence, so some of the amino acids are
peptid all of them I don't know, but they're basically signal.
They signal other like really necessary things to happen in
your body, like hormone release or like insulin production or
(54:12):
muscle growth or depending on what peptide you take.
Speaker 1 (54:16):
I mean, some of these things even.
Speaker 3 (54:17):
Make you can So yeah, yeah, I saw this, I
mentioned it.
Speaker 1 (54:21):
I think I was talking about it yet.
Speaker 2 (54:23):
But the moment on the Barbie peptide, Yeah, yeah, yeah,
So we're gonna get fletch on all sorts of peptides.
Speaker 7 (54:30):
Did they just discover peptides a couple of years ago
or something.
Speaker 2 (54:33):
No, They've been around for a long time, but I
think they just became more popular within the.
Speaker 3 (54:37):
Last couple of years, so so they this Let's put
it this way. A lot of the reason why you're
hearing about peptides more now is because.
Speaker 1 (54:46):
Of g LP one, which which is like ozempic oh zempic.
Speaker 3 (54:50):
Yeah, it's uh, it's basically the the peptide that they
use and they've been injecting people with that finally got
FDA approval to use in mass and so many people
have lost away from it. That's what really launched interest
in the peptide space. Now, there have always been many
different ones, but not very many are approved by FDA
(55:11):
or have FDA approval. So what people do is they
go to compounding pharmacies is what they're called, to get
their peptides.
Speaker 1 (55:18):
And it's kind of like a gray market.
Speaker 3 (55:20):
It sounds fine, Yeah, So what I'm trying to.
Speaker 2 (55:25):
Say is because you just know people that know people
that are in the gray market circumventing.
Speaker 7 (55:31):
They did that with marijuana in high school too, right,
the same thing.
Speaker 3 (55:35):
You know someone who knows someone that's actually a.
Speaker 1 (55:38):
Perfect example it is.
Speaker 3 (55:39):
It is kind of in that jurisdiction, you're never gonna
get in trouble with peptides.
Speaker 1 (55:45):
Also, because here's the deal.
Speaker 3 (55:47):
They don't give you, like they don't influence your your
mind to the point where you're going to like drive
under the influence. So you know what I mean, Like
you're just gonna take them. You're gonna be healthier, and
then who knows, you might grow like a dependent on
a part of your body that you wanted or what
maybe maybe one day.
Speaker 2 (56:04):
We don't know, not yet taking any peptides because my
on colleges wouldn't agree to let me try anything.
Speaker 3 (56:09):
But but you're getting them in the black market. Why
you don't need to talk to him.
Speaker 2 (56:12):
I'm not getting any, but I want to. There are
some that seem like they boost your immunity. There's some
that are really really great for different but.
Speaker 5 (56:21):
You're getting them from a third party not associated with
the pharmacy, Like this is drug dealing, buying drugs from
a drug dealer.
Speaker 3 (56:29):
Feeling technically a cat's friend is a drug dealer. Now, list,
but is this gonna make me like super vascular? You're
gonna see so many veins, it's gonna be nuts. Let's
go speaking of which, No, no, no, no, we'll have
Heptides are a drug?
Speaker 1 (56:48):
Yes, really yeah.
Speaker 4 (56:49):
Yeah, yeah, naturally occurring in your body.
Speaker 3 (56:52):
It's a drug. It is a drug for sure. So
I would say, yes, she's a drug dealer. Yeah, that's confirmed. Yeah,
Pepti dealer is a really nice way of saying her
name on the air.
Speaker 1 (57:02):
Well, I didn't say fake name.
Speaker 3 (57:07):
The show is the work of satires, not to be
rebroadcast with any shape or form without the express written
permission of the National.
Speaker 8 (57:14):
Football One KGB trending with TD So.
Speaker 7 (57:20):
There was a salmonilla outbreak out in Ramona, Ramona Deli
out there. Thirteen people were affected. Now it's up to
twenty three, I think the number is but they have
a source.
Speaker 3 (57:32):
A California egg producer has been revealed as the cause
of the sickening salmonilla outbreak.
Speaker 7 (57:38):
Happy Hens egg producers whatever they are, Happy Hens.
Speaker 1 (57:44):
My god, gotta be kidding me.
Speaker 7 (57:46):
Unbelievable, unbelieve you know what I was growing up but
a little town I grew up in there was a
egg ranch down the road from us, and it was
Happy Hens.
Speaker 3 (57:55):
I got seminole poisoning as a what was I seventh grade?
Speaker 1 (57:59):
Sixth grade was a middle school. Yeah, yeah, and make
it like the flu.
Speaker 3 (58:03):
Basically, it gives you the stomach flu like basically you
want to take.
Speaker 1 (58:07):
A seat every thirty minutes.
Speaker 3 (58:10):
You are just whatever whatever you put in, want an
exit as fast as possible.
Speaker 6 (58:15):
Wow.
Speaker 3 (58:16):
So I I don't know if I licked a spoon
that had you know, cake batter on it, you know,
or if I, you know, whatever, I had a bad
head of lettuce or whatever it was. But I remember
I get salmonel poison and they tell my parents somewhere
I feel awful, like awful, I have to stay home
from school. So they did the whole like back of
(58:37):
the hand to your forehead but like, you're fine. Oh no,
So I go to school that day, and I mean,
at that point in my life, I didn't play away games.
Speaker 1 (58:45):
If you catch my drift. I wanted to wait till
I got home.
Speaker 3 (58:47):
To yeah yeah handle bizz yeah yeah. And it was
like a two hour post school. Yeah. So we had
one bathroom in the house and the door was just
being knocked on Kong.
Speaker 1 (59:00):
I'm like, go in the yard.
Speaker 3 (59:01):
I can't get up anyways. I tell my parents again,
I'm like, I am rough, there's nothing. There's no chance
I can go to school tomorrow. Same thing back in
the hand to the forehead. You don't have a fever.
You're going to school tomorrow. I'm like, I am, I'm
really sick. I'm wrong.
Speaker 1 (59:15):
I like from the neck down, something's wrong.
Speaker 3 (59:18):
Like I have stomach cramps, like and it feels like
it's getting up into my lungs. And they were like
nah nah. So Wednesday it was an awe revolt. This
was Monday, Tuesday. I went to school Wednesday. I'm not going.
You cannot force me to go to school. I was like,
call the cops. I don't know what you do as parents,
but I'm not going. So they bring me to the doctor,
and the doctor has we go through the whole process
(59:40):
of like, you know, leaving a sample salmon l poison.
My parents were beside themselves. I got so much like
love and affection. Yeah, yeah, yeah, they were like, oh,
you had food poisoning. You weren't lying to us normally,
you lie. You know, it's weird. TD and I actually
have a similar story. You had a with your daughter.
(01:00:00):
It was me, but it took forever for me to
go to the doctor for my appendix burstye yeah.
Speaker 5 (01:00:04):
Oh ged same thing with your daughter, Hayley, right, yeah, yeah,
I was.
Speaker 7 (01:00:09):
I was convinced that she either pulled a muscle or
needed to sit on the toilet, one of the two.
So it went for days and days and days, and
one day I picked her up from school.
Speaker 3 (01:00:19):
She nearly collapsed before she got to the car.
Speaker 7 (01:00:21):
And then that's when my wife said, she's going to
the emergency room, and we did, and then she spent
nine days in the hospital. So yeah, everything's fine, guys,
I'm a great parent. Good at this, really really good
at this.
Speaker 3 (01:00:35):
Man Dryer's ice Cream is issuing a voluntary recall of
some of the flavors for its outshine fruit bars, which
are those.
Speaker 1 (01:00:43):
Those like paddle fruit bar? No, we buy these older
three Okay, well kids love those. Well you gotta check.
Speaker 5 (01:00:49):
Man.
Speaker 7 (01:00:49):
There's a million of these different expiration dates on it
that they're that they're listing here that could be recalled
because they might have.
Speaker 1 (01:00:55):
Glass in it. Oh, I don't know, who knows.
Speaker 7 (01:01:01):
Somebody somebody drinking a glass of strawberry juice and dropped
it into the vat and then it broke into pieces.
I have no idea this isable. So there's apparently everything
you eat now wants to kill you.
Speaker 1 (01:01:12):
Yeah, yeah, you know, honestly, I think a little bit
of glasses.
Speaker 3 (01:01:15):
Okay, you're probably all right, you're prabad you all right
and very you don't you don't want to miss out
the pompster pirate scareban.
Speaker 7 (01:01:24):
We talked about Johnny Depp being in talks to bring
back Pirates number six. Well, apparently they don't want him
as the lead. They want him as a supporting role
because they want the lead to be a female character,
a female pirate, Margot Robbie.
Speaker 3 (01:01:43):
She's actually apparently reported reported in talks for Margot Robbie
to lead the next generation like totally new trilogy of
Margot Robbie in one of those leather Pirate Wench leather
course sets.
Speaker 7 (01:01:57):
You can stop talking. That's already sold. Yeah, I immediately
you have to have Margot Robbie animatronic at the rye.
Speaker 5 (01:02:06):
I mean there's the line. Maybe down the block take
a picture with it. Also, maybe start selling those in
the gift shop. Yeah, I mean it's fine. There's no
talk of that yet. Yeah, not not, not that we
know of. People have to sign off on it first.
Speaker 6 (01:02:23):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (01:02:23):
Disneyland happiest place on Earth. He's getting happier. P and
the C Part six.
Speaker 1 (01:02:29):
It's just a tip with Yes, Yes it is.
Speaker 3 (01:02:34):
It's that time of the day where I pushed a
little advice out your way. It's yours for the take
and if you want it, if not, push it back
this way, no harm, no foul. It's just a tip
with Big Ridge. And today's advice is how not to
stain your shirt while enjoying a little fast food in
the car. And discovered this yesterday. Okay, so if you
(01:02:55):
do partake in in car eating and you oftentimes squirt
a little mustered on the front of your shirt, you
know you drop a little totch up on your collar
and you're thinking to yourself, like, I look like a slob,
but everybody knows it just hid in the car. Plus
I smell like in an Alberger or J and the Bee.
Speaker 1 (01:03:11):
You know what I mean.
Speaker 3 (01:03:12):
Like you're just thinking to yourself, this ain't good, and
you're right, it isn't good.
Speaker 1 (01:03:16):
Here's the ficks. Take your shirt off? Why you eat? Yes? Genius,
yes genius.
Speaker 3 (01:03:23):
I don't know why it never dawned on me in
the first place, but I was trying to enjoy some
delicious retissry chicken inside of my car.
Speaker 1 (01:03:32):
Well, I was thinking of myself, if I eat a
rotisserie chicken in the car, don't eat anything in the car.
If you did it used to because you had your
shirt on, you idiot. Or take it off and you're
good to go. So what about all the.
Speaker 3 (01:03:41):
Drippings from when you put it from the caw and
now it's just in a bag. Well, yeah, it wasn't
a bag, which I didn't love. I was at Sprouts.
I had the rotisserie going right, and I started eating
while I was in the store. They don't frown upon it,
but they also don't encourage you to do that anyways.
Speaker 1 (01:03:56):
Getting to the parking lot.
Speaker 3 (01:03:57):
I get out there and I'm like, man, there's so
much it's a liquid in the bottom of this rot
tissary chicken. Oh god, but I'm really enjoying this rot
tissery chicken. So you know what I did. I just
held the chicken in the bag, dumped out the juice
in the parking lot in uh, in the flower bed
where the tree was growing that the crows come over.
Speaker 1 (01:04:18):
They love it.
Speaker 3 (01:04:18):
They're high, which I felt a little weird because kind
of like chickens crows, they're kind of like cousins whatever.
Oh yeah, that's true, but still they're like Yeah. I
get in the front seat of the car and I'm like,
still a little tricky, juicy, juicy chicken. I removed my
shirt and at one point, like there was a little
splatter that hit me in the chest and I was like,
(01:04:41):
had I been wearing my shirt, I would have ruined
my shirt. But because it just hit me in the chest,
a couple of baby white plater I'm clean, shirt's clean.
Speaker 7 (01:04:50):
And you smell like a baby wipe.
Speaker 1 (01:04:56):
This is the best tip you've given in a long time.
Speaker 2 (01:04:57):
I have a follow up question, Yeah, what was the
he enriched that you were eating a bag of chicken
in the car.
Speaker 1 (01:05:03):
See, he was hungry.
Speaker 3 (01:05:04):
I've been fasting for eighteen and a half because you do.
Speaker 4 (01:05:07):
Cat Why would you not go into your house and
eat it?
Speaker 2 (01:05:10):
Were you afraid that Annie, your wife was not going
to be happy with your selection.
Speaker 3 (01:05:13):
She loves when I eat rotisserie chicken. What was She's
always like, Oh my gosh, you never look more handsome.
There's at least seven minutes between Sprouts and home. Really
was hungry, thank you.
Speaker 1 (01:05:23):
I mean I was so hungry. I was eating the
chicken in Sprouts. I was telling people. I'm like, oh,
I just broke my fast.
Speaker 3 (01:05:28):
If they were like, what, you're two hundred and eighty pounds.
You don't look like you've been fast for long. This
all gives me anxiety. Oh it's the best, dude, take
your shirt off if you're enjoying fast food in your car.
