Speaker 1 (00:00):
The suit's back, Ryan, I pulled it out of Dave
Tepper's uha Tepper's office, and Benjamin albright.
Speaker 2 (00:08):
AND's gonna have been inherited it.
Speaker 3 (00:10):
He really likes this suit.
Speaker 4 (00:11):
Well, I mean I like the suit too. Listen, really, no,
I see you keep getting it wrong. You have to
wear the tie.
Speaker 2 (00:18):
Then I love the suit. I don't merely like it.
Speaker 3 (00:21):
And this he tried the jacket on. It actually fits it.
Speaker 4 (00:23):
But then has lost some weight. First of all, he's
always been smaller than me. But he's a tiny man.
Speaker 3 (00:29):
You know what. That's me shrinking up?
Speaker 2 (00:33):
Yeah a little bit.
Speaker 3 (00:34):
Yeah, looking good man looking.
Speaker 4 (00:36):
Let's getting there so he fits in a little bit.
Speaker 2 (00:40):
Better take it with you. It's yours.
Speaker 1 (00:41):
Oh yeah, leave it here is Dave's coming in right?
Yeah yeah, yeah, he's Okay, we'll come back in and
try it on for us.
Speaker 2 (00:50):
Come bottel it.
Speaker 3 (00:54):
They wouldn't take the suit back, so that's.
Speaker 2 (00:56):
The update of the suit.
Speaker 1 (00:57):
They wouldn't let me return it. They wouldn't send it
different size. So we have to figure out what to
do with the flannel suit. Okay, we're gonna figure out
a way to use it somehow.
Speaker 4 (01:06):
Well, you got ben who said, he'll wear it to
footbill or it's Broncos games, and it's it's orange, So
I mean if.
Speaker 3 (01:13):
It's in the Yeah, but he's not really a flannel guy.
Speaker 2 (01:16):
Okay, that's a cool suit.
Speaker 4 (01:18):
You know, it is a pretty cool suit, like where where? Well, yeah,
I know there's a little bit of a gag because
of my love for flannel, which, by the way, I
went with more of you know today, I.
Speaker 3 (01:29):
Notice you're not even wearing a flannel.
Speaker 2 (01:31):
You're too cold for flannel.
Speaker 3 (01:32):
Do I even know you anymore's flannels?
Speaker 4 (01:37):
But but no, I I know it's a bit of
a gag with a flannel suit.
Speaker 2 (01:41):
But it's just a cool suit.
Speaker 4 (01:43):
And so ben is gonna find a lot of he's
gonna he's gonna really enjoy and love that suit.
Speaker 2 (01:48):
Hi, Dave.
Speaker 1 (01:50):
So the suit's back. We're trying to figure out what
to do with it. I saw if you have any
ideas and trying to figure out what to do with it. Yeah,
because they wouldn't take it by act, they wouldn't send
a bigger size, And so it's back and play again.
We're trying to figure something out. Although Benjamin Albright came
in loves the suit, and it kind of fits them. Okay,
(02:10):
so maybe we give that to Ben and maybe we
order shall we say, a matching cad bit bigger size
for Ryan? How about matching suits a bigger size for you.
I'm in, That's what I mean.
Speaker 2 (02:23):
We get it like dumb and dumber where.
Speaker 3 (02:25):
It's like.
Speaker 1 (02:27):
Now we got to play it on the locial media
love that. Okay, Yeah, I'm in.
Speaker 3 (02:31):
I'm in.
Speaker 2 (02:32):
Okay, all right, bets, let's do it. Excited about that.
Very excited to see you guys, day, Good.
Speaker 3 (02:37):
To see you, see you guys, you too, run.
Speaker 4 (02:39):
I'm very excited about the time we're in here with
the the Abs finish up their season and got to
win last night and shootout and of course the Nuggets
they get go in this weekend against Dave's Minnesota terrible.
Speaker 2 (02:51):
I know, I'm not even from front.
Speaker 1 (02:54):
Anybody who's listening to this show knows better knows exactly
where you stand. So you can say it a million times,
but they know they know.
Speaker 4 (03:01):
Do you feel Nope, no, no, hold on, you don't
even want to go with.
Speaker 1 (03:05):
That's why I'm I got a better than fifty to
fifty shot of wherever you're going with this. My answer being.
Speaker 2 (03:11):
Now, okay, I'm trying to think about how I can.
Speaker 1 (03:15):
Don't change it the question never yeah, no, it's about
cross dress.
Speaker 3 (03:21):
No what else? No?
Speaker 4 (03:24):
Do do you feel because because ESPN put out their
predictions for the series and it's all Nuggets, every single
one of them pick the Nuggets.
Speaker 2 (03:32):
Now, some of them pick the Nuggets in seven.
Speaker 4 (03:34):
So there are some people out there that think is
going to be a really good series. You have the
Nuggets in five, right, yep, I have them in six.
Very quickly, Rick, what do you what do you think?
Speaker 3 (03:45):
I think the Nuggets win probably five games? Okay, Nuggets
five ye?
Speaker 4 (03:51):
Rick Lewis okay, So that my question, does it give
you pause? Does it worry you at all when there's
just an overwhelming belief your team is going to win
the series?
Speaker 1 (04:03):
I mean, always for sure, right, I mean the reality
of it is, in all seriousness, the Wolves have played
the Nuggets tough pretty much every single time they've they've met,
and certainly in the postseason they beat them in twenty
twenty four. I just think this is a better Nuggets team.
(04:28):
I think they're playing really good basketball. Hopefully get everybody
back and healthy. Peyton Watson, the one guy I'm a
little bit concerned about. You'd like to get Spencer Jones
back too, and the Wolves. You know, it didn't have
the kind of year that maybe Miny in Minnesota thought.
Speaker 3 (04:49):
They would have.
Speaker 1 (04:50):
Could Could I envision a series in which, I mean,
this is a really close competitive series.
Speaker 3 (04:57):
Yes, I could, because the history of.
Speaker 1 (04:59):
These two teams playing in the postseason would indicate that
it's gonna be like that. They're an excellent defensive team.
They're long, their wings are long. They've got enough size
and athletic ability that in the past they've been able
to make Jamal.
Speaker 3 (05:16):
Work really, really hard.
Speaker 1 (05:18):
I get all that Gobert has been the defensive player
of the year, although I think Jokich certainly more than
holds his own against Rudy, So I guess I could
see it being a very tough series. I just think
the Nuggets are a better basketball team. They have home
court advantage, and I think they'll they'll win this series.
Speaker 4 (05:37):
In advance, Jokich is eleven and seven head to head
with Rudy Gobert in the postseason. Okay, so you're right,
there's good, good battles, good battles, But Yo Kitchen tends
to get the better of them for what it's worth. Yeah,
of course, as you mentioned, Gobert four time defensive Player
of the Year. But I don't think he's I'm not
saying he's fallen off, but he's I don't know.
Speaker 2 (05:58):
And even some of those couple those.
Speaker 4 (05:59):
Years with a defensive Player of the Year just felt like,
I mean, we just didn't have another guy. It was
kind of in the conversation like it was like, it
feels like he's done enough. I guess I I've just
never been a really really big Rudy Gobar fan.
Speaker 3 (06:10):
I guess you go.
Speaker 1 (06:11):
Here, you go trying to downplay your affection for the Timberwolves.
Speaker 3 (06:15):
Just stop it, just stop.
Speaker 2 (06:18):
No, I have been.
Speaker 3 (06:19):
I'm a bit.
Speaker 4 (06:19):
I'm a big Anthony Edwards fan as far as he's
playing style.
Speaker 2 (06:22):
And I know you are too.
Speaker 3 (06:26):
Go ahead, this is where you.
Speaker 1 (06:28):
Where you're No confirmation, playoff mode, no confirmation for me,
I think, and yes, it's a very good player player.
He is he one of the five best players in
the league this year. I would say no, but I
think he's a very good player. We're in playoff mode.
I like that, all right, get the playoff face on.
Speaker 2 (06:50):
Yeah, it does.
Speaker 3 (06:50):
He is right. It can't help that he was bored
with that. Just what it is, he was bored with
that playoff face.
Speaker 1 (06:57):
Those are the great time of the year post He's
hockey and NBA Rockies off to a decent start. This
is just a really fun time to be a sports
fan here in Colorado. I love what they're doing too.
For the Nuggets and Abs playoff games. They're gonna let
the fans be able to watch outside of ball arena.
(07:19):
They're gonna have some big screen set up. I'm sure
they'll be selling concessions and all that too, so fans
can go down there and watch the home games from
the parking lot area. Pretty damn almost said a bad word.
Pretty darn cool, Pretty darn cool.
Speaker 4 (07:33):
Yeah, no doubt. One more note here on this series,
and then I want to get to a Drake May
and Bownicks hanging out with the masters.
Speaker 2 (07:39):
How about that.
Speaker 4 (07:40):
Since twenty twenty two, twenty twenty two, no two teams
have matched up more than Denver and Minnesota. They've matched
up twenty eight times. You know what the record is
of that, Dave, twenty eight times since twenty eight games.
Twenty eight games. Yep, it's probably it's probably real close.
Fourteen and fourteen be real close, you know, I mean
(08:03):
that is that is how good these two teams have
been and simultaneously, h how that series has gone. So
that'll be a lot of fun. Well our lineup for
guy out of Mars, you couldn't do it today. But
he he actually uh is in some hot water with nuggets.
Fans love ad him over At d n v R
he picked s g A as his m v P over.
Speaker 5 (08:22):
Yok And I was like, so you have something in common, right,
I mean that's I've been You don't have you don't
have a vote technically, yes, but you said on the
air if you had a vote, you'd vote for SGS.
Speaker 1 (08:38):
I never said that. You can't find audio again again?
Oh I think I can. I think I can. But anyway,
let's just let's just move on and move past it.
Speaker 2 (08:48):
Okay, you have something can come. That's just cool. Okay.
Speaker 4 (08:54):
So today Jim Nance, I love Jim everybody loves Jim Natz.
Jim Nantz was on the Patnac Show and he was
talking about all the different NFL players he ran into
out at AUGUSTA. Of course, Jim Nance famously calling the
games for CBS. Here's an interesting name that popped up.
Speaker 6 (09:12):
We were talking Pat about you saw some pictures of
some of the people I was with this week.
Speaker 3 (09:16):
There are a lot of NFL.
Speaker 6 (09:17):
Guys that are hanging around Augusta. Yeh, yeah, I don't
know how they're all getting in, but you know, just again,
I ran into Drake May, I ran into Bo Nicks,
who looked very healthy.
Speaker 1 (09:29):
Here.
Speaker 3 (09:30):
You know, the bonex is walking out place obvious. What's
that box was walking around Augusta.
Speaker 6 (09:35):
He was walking around and it was fascinating. Bow and
Drake the whole a dust experience in together. And you
said it earlier, the undulation, the great at Augusta hit
is up and down more than anybody could ever imagine.
So Bo and Drake spent a couple of days together
hanging out.
Speaker 4 (09:53):
Is there a better word than undulation. It's a really
good word.
Speaker 3 (09:58):
That's a good word. It's very descriptive. Yeah, yeah, that's
a really good I say sex.
Speaker 1 (10:03):
I mean sex would be a better word, at least
to me in my lifetime than undulation. But if undulation
does it, does it free?
Speaker 3 (10:15):
I mean, far be it from me? So sex.
Speaker 1 (10:19):
Related to undulation? No, no, no, just sex. And I
was wondering where you were going. I said, is there
a better word in your vocabulary than undulation?
Speaker 3 (10:27):
And I said sex? I don't know, And you could
combine the both of them.
Speaker 4 (10:31):
Well, I was gonna say, I'm looking up the definition
of undulation.
Speaker 3 (10:34):
You better look up the definition of the other.
Speaker 4 (10:36):
Well, I will get on that. Yeah, at three page
forty kids, okay, very soon.
Speaker 3 (10:42):
Well the two kid, I.
Speaker 1 (10:44):
Mean, it doesn't mean anything. That doesn't mean anything. Show
your wife some appreciation and love, A little affection from
you would would be an okay thing.
Speaker 2 (10:50):
I'm just saying here for reason.
Speaker 1 (10:52):
That's the last time you held hands with her. Today
you grabbed her from trying to grab your wallet. I'm
talking about holding hands like walking.
Speaker 4 (11:02):
We go on a walk every single day, okay, and
we old hands.
Speaker 3 (11:04):
Nice And you know what, I'm proud of you. I'm
proud of.
Speaker 2 (11:06):
You a few things since I've been hearing the show
with you.
Speaker 3 (11:08):
That's good. That's a good thing. Good thing, definitely.
Speaker 1 (11:11):
Mike Vrabel and Diane Rascidian, by the way out at
the athletic she resigned today.
Speaker 4 (11:20):
Undulation the action of moving slowly up and down.
Speaker 3 (11:23):
There you go, that's Okay, I was trying to tell
you we go.
Speaker 4 (11:27):
He was trying to say, anyways, but that's just literally
dictionary dot com. So uh, back to the point here,
Drake May and bonis hanging out at the Masters together,
walking up and down the undulation and the greens and
the grass and all those kinds of things. I mean,
that was, hey, man, we're looking for some exciting things
to hear about bon nickx's rehab. The fact that he's
out there walking and that's a bit of the Masters,
(11:50):
but I imagine it is a lot of walking, pretty exciting
stuff here, right.
Speaker 3 (11:53):
I was more.
Speaker 1 (11:54):
Interested in how did bo Nicks look than the fact
that he was hanging out with Drake May. And that's
that's great to hear that news that he looked good
walking around and I don't know the length of a
golf course, probably probably five miles right up and down
hills and all that. So that's a good time. I'm
glad to hear that.
Speaker 4 (12:12):
I then there was a lot of doubt here Dave
about his rehab. But you know, there's some people that
kind of wonder a little bit, and I'm still kind
of wonder about where he's at. Is where not only
in this moment, but even going into the future, like
you know, we're but the fact that he's out there.
I did for a moment when I heard Jim Nantz,
you know, breaking that down. And maybe this is just
over the course of the season, right of Sean shutting
(12:35):
us down whenever we've talked about injuries. But in the
back of my mind, I was like, oh, I wonder
if Sean's upset about this, like if Shawn's like, don't tell,
don't don't tell people how good Bow is doing just
yet I don't.
Speaker 2 (12:46):
We don't, we don't disclose injuries.
Speaker 3 (12:49):
I don't know.
Speaker 1 (12:49):
I I think the fact that Bow, by all accounts
is doing really well, and by I think the people
that matter have said he's ahead of schedule. So I
don't think that would be nearly even to Shawn as
big a deal in the offseason as it would be
(13:09):
like in the season. He didn't want that information to
get out in the season. But everything I've heard, a
couple of people that I think would know have said
he's doing great, doing great.
Speaker 2 (13:21):
And this is another example of it. So it was
cool to hear, and I'm with you.
Speaker 4 (13:24):
I don't think I saw some people on Twitter being like,
I don't know, hanging out with the enemy.
Speaker 3 (13:28):
I'm like, these guys are in the.
Speaker 2 (13:29):
Same draft class.
Speaker 3 (13:30):
Oh yeah, yeah, that's no big deal.
Speaker 2 (13:32):
It's not a big deal.
Speaker 4 (13:33):
And in fact, I imagine Bo and I think he
even said at some point, I imagine Bo's feeling a
little bit kind of bummed that he missed out on
competing in the AFC Championship game against the guy that
he views as a friend.
Speaker 1 (13:46):
I think we all believe if Bo was healthy, they
beat the Patriots. I think they certainly had the better team.
I wonder how Drake May feels about his postseason. He
probably can't wait to get back to training camp and
start the twenty twenty sixth season, because I think he
was a pretty big disappointment in the postseason, even though
they made it to the super Bowl, and we'll see,
(14:06):
you know, maybe that'll mess with his head a little bit.
That can happen to a young quarterback, especially.
Speaker 2 (14:11):
Somebody says it was good to see both undulates. Yeah,
to move up and down through delection.
Speaker 4 (14:17):
So with the Patriots for just a moment, everybody's looking
at whether or not they're going to be able to
get aj Brown Hi Roseman spoke today to the media
and they were asking about aj if he is.
Speaker 3 (14:28):
Traded, you have kept there at wide receiver.
Speaker 5 (14:31):
The odds are that I'm answering this question any different
than I answered anywhere else, Like really, like, do you
think that's like fifty percent?
Speaker 4 (14:39):
Do you think that's seventy five? Ale? Okay, AJ Brown's
an Eagle, Dave, Will Ajbrie be an Eagle after round
one next Thursday night?
Speaker 3 (14:55):
I would say AJ Brown will not be an Eagle.
Speaker 1 (15:02):
I don't think he'll be an Eagle after the draft Oka,
like as soon as the draft is concluded.
Speaker 3 (15:08):
Maybe it's round one. I just don't see that.
Speaker 1 (15:11):
I don't see that as a workable deal, I think,
I mean, I think they've they've got their work cut
out for them to sort of figure out. Like with
Jalen Hurts, is he a guy that we're gonna be
able to move forward with. We've committed quite a bit
of money to him. There seems to be a real
(15:33):
disconnect between Jalen Hurts and AJ Brown, And in my world,
usually the receiver loses that battle. I mean, sometimes you know,
in life, there's just a pecking order and you want
to scratch the ground and puff out your chest. And
then sometimes the the rooster you're looking at is just
a bigger rooster. And in this case, Jalen Hurts is
(15:56):
a bigger player at a key.
Speaker 3 (15:58):
Position as opposed to a J. Brown at wide receiver.
Speaker 1 (16:02):
So my guess is he'll he'll be with the Patriots.
The qualifier would be unless there's something that he would
look at with respect to what's going on with Mike Vrabel.
I don't have I mean, I don't have any knowledge
that that change is the landscape. But sometimes for players
(16:24):
like that and their agents that you know, maybe they
don't want to get into like a sticky situation. I mean,
you go basically as a free agent, you go for
a money, be the system. Now you've got a young
quarterback for sure, But I also think you know, within
the top five in terms of reasons you might go.
(16:46):
The relationship with that perspective, head coach would be in
that as well. Right, So, but I still think I
still think the deal of good done you brought up
the Vabel situation is something going to go down with Rabel.
We saw Russini resigned and I'm sure they told her, hey,
if you don't resign, We're gonna fire you.
Speaker 3 (17:08):
I don't know.
Speaker 2 (17:08):
Did you read her she wrote put a post out.
I don't know.
Speaker 4 (17:12):
I mean maybe we came to that the way that
she framed it on at least the post was I
did this while because you're suspended.
Speaker 2 (17:19):
So she did it basically of her own volition. But yeah,
I go ahead condemned.
Speaker 1 (17:22):
What's the interesting to me is we're not hearing anything
other than Mike Rabel's initial statement.
Speaker 3 (17:29):
Nobody said a word about Brabel.
Speaker 1 (17:31):
I think he's making a mistake not holding his regular
pre draft press conference.
Speaker 3 (17:37):
I agree.
Speaker 1 (17:38):
I mean, to me, that's where you just got to
get up and and maybe you have to face a
few of those questions and you can answer them any
way you want to. But to not do it when
you've done it every other year, I just think perpetuates
the issue. How does the NFL look at this situation.
I don't think they care. They don't care. I mean,
(18:01):
would they prefer it not to have happened, Sure, But
in terms in terms of them stepping in and doing.
Speaker 3 (18:09):
Something, I don't.
Speaker 1 (18:11):
I don't think there's any way in the world, based
on the information we have right now. Yeah, and obviously
there's players playing in the league that have done way
worse things than that that he's allegedly done. We don't know,
but I would think they're they're at least paying attention
and deciding, you know, I bet they're doing their own
(18:31):
investigation when you think.
Speaker 4 (18:33):
Well, I would imagine so, But I mean, what, what's
the repercussion here?
Speaker 2 (18:36):
Like, you know, you don't have to suspend him. Fine, yeah,
maybe maybe there's some kind of fun.
Speaker 4 (18:42):
But again, I'm not gonna sit here and try to
paint a picture that this is an isolated incident within
the league or any professional sports league.
Speaker 1 (18:52):
You know.
Speaker 2 (18:53):
Again, I don't know.
Speaker 4 (18:54):
Simultaneously, I don't know how long that relationships specifically have
been going on.
Speaker 2 (18:58):
So, I mean, obviously was more than.
Speaker 4 (19:00):
Enough in the moment because they had their initial statements him,
Rassini as well as the guy who runs the athletic
and they all dismissed it, and then moments later we're here,
So maybe something else comes out and I sort of
doubt it, though I think maybe.
Speaker 3 (19:14):
Times investigated it.
Speaker 1 (19:15):
Yeah, and the facts she resigned tells me they said, hey,
this is what we got and if you're not going
to step down, we're gonna have to get rid of you.
That's the way I'm looking at all.
Speaker 4 (19:26):
Right, rock and rolling here on a Tuesday, very excited
to be here with you, Dave Logan, Ryan there was
Rick Lewis will come back more of course than the
Nuggets and their series coming up against Minnesota. We got
the NBA playing games tonight. We get to all that
coming up back starting of course, but we'll get into
that here. Coming up a little after four. The Broncos
(19:48):
options in trades. I want to get into that a
little bit later on. We're a bit abbreviated as the
Rockies are taking on the Astros tonight cover starting a
five thirty, So the next three nights we'll actually be
off the air five thirty, but we'll obviously try to
keep you entertained until then. The NBA play in games
happened tonight. We got the Hornets in the Heat, the
(20:08):
Sun's Trailblazers, and then tomorrow night till if Clippers, Warriors
in the West and the seventy six ers Magic.
Speaker 3 (20:14):
I don't do you like this?
Speaker 2 (20:16):
I think I think I like this format.
Speaker 4 (20:18):
With the play in I think it gives opportunities for
some teams that are like would have been out of it,
like at nine to ten. But I guess I have
to go back to see because they've only done this
for a few years whether that really truly matters or not.
But I like more basketball, I guess, and in this case,
it's it's one and done for some of these guys.
(20:38):
I mean, tonight's weird one because the loser of tonight
gets to play one more time no matter what.
Speaker 1 (20:44):
Yeah, I like it because now, I mean every game counts.
We're now in the basically into the playoffs, right, so
every game from this point on that the Nuggets get
ready to play for and play it matters how they
repair for the Timberwolves, matters the Suns and the Blazers.
Speaker 3 (21:03):
Tonight I think will be a great game. And Charlotte.
Speaker 1 (21:05):
Charlotte has been one of the surprise teams of the
NBA this season. They have they have really played well
young Nucleus. So I'm yeah, I'm good now because we're
gonna have probably this is April, probably two months of
(21:26):
basically an NBA game or more than a game almost
every single night.
Speaker 4 (21:32):
You like that they spread it out though, like as
much as they do.
Speaker 1 (21:34):
I like that we have something to watch on TV
other than other things. Starting tonight with two NBA playoff
games and their Meaningful Games game. Dave nailed it. I
think anytime you can add meaningful games to a schedule, NBA, baseball, everything,
it means something to people because, especially especially these long seasons,
(21:59):
you know, we see of NBA teams take a game
off here or there. I love meaningful games in the NBA.
This is now. This is the must watch TV once
you get into the postseason. And in baseball, I don't
know what they could do about that. To me, they
played too many games, most of them by the fourth
of July don't even matter anymore, or at least half
(22:21):
the teams in the league. So yeah, the more meaningful
games the better.
Speaker 4 (22:25):
Now you mentioned, you know, the Hornets, and I guess
the East probably is a little more wide open. I mean,
when the Nuggets won the championship, the Heat were one
of those teams, right they were.
Speaker 3 (22:33):
They ended up being the eighth seed in the Celtics
this rice.
Speaker 4 (22:35):
And they went all the way and made it to
the finals. Of course they lost to that point, but
they went on quite a run. Is there a team
in the West because you got the the Suns and
Trailblazers tonight, and then tomorrow night you've got the Clippers
and Warriors, because Oklahoma City looks just like one of
those teams.
Speaker 2 (22:53):
And I'm not saying that because.
Speaker 3 (22:54):
You are go ahead. I mean, yes you are.
Speaker 4 (22:56):
I just whoever is the eight seed feels like a
bit of a lost cause. But the seven going against
the Spurs, since this is their first kind of foray
in a long time to be in the postseason, they
could they could surprise.
Speaker 1 (23:12):
Maybe yeah, I mean I think I think the Spurs.
I think the Spurs are are too good for anybody
in the seventh spot. The one team that I think
has a chance, no matter who they play, of the
first or second seed, to kind of make make it
(23:32):
uncomfortable a little bit would be Portland. Portland has a
lot of perimeter scoring. I think Portland is kind of
a scary team. Now, I don't you know, they're They're
going to be decided underdogs should they play Oak City
or San Antonio. But I do think that they they
(23:52):
would have some moments in.
Speaker 3 (23:54):
Either of those series.
Speaker 1 (23:55):
I think I think the best series in the first
round is your Timberwolves against the Nuggets.
Speaker 3 (24:00):
I mean, I really do your.
Speaker 1 (24:02):
Timberwel yeah, my timberwol Yes, yeah, yeah, uh.
Speaker 4 (24:08):
Yeah, that's probably no, you don't think I mean yeah,
because Lakers are a bit of a hot mess.
Speaker 2 (24:14):
Yeah, it's good way to describe it. Yeah, I mean
think you might be right.
Speaker 4 (24:17):
I mean, I think because because we just got done
talking about whoever is taking on Oklahoma City.
Speaker 2 (24:21):
Whether it ends up being I don't know.
Speaker 4 (24:24):
I mean, I think the Sun's the Sun's stand up
punch or ship. I like trail Blazers tonight, at least
that's I'm gonna I'm gonna pick.
Speaker 2 (24:30):
I'm telling you right now.
Speaker 3 (24:31):
I think so you've already set up You've already set
up the game.
Speaker 2 (24:36):
I'm telling you right now.
Speaker 1 (24:37):
I'm sorry, I'm starting to understand sort of how this
thing works. And then you make your pick publicly. Okay, okay,
well it's it's working for me. But apparently so you
won last week.
Speaker 2 (24:49):
One last week, I'm up to oh so far this week. Okay,
so we'll see.
Speaker 4 (24:53):
But I like trail Blazers tonight, which means that it's
gonna be Suns versus Iety.
Speaker 2 (24:57):
Of the Warriors of Clippers.
Speaker 1 (24:58):
So we're actually the game tonight that we're picking is
actually Charlotte?
Speaker 3 (25:06):
Is it? Yes?
Speaker 2 (25:07):
Well, hold on, we we I mean on the rush.
Speaker 1 (25:09):
It starts a little bit. Yeah, but who made that rundown?
Zach seekers uh with help from I. I had nothing,
I said I.
Speaker 2 (25:18):
I didn't have any word on it.
Speaker 3 (25:20):
I will say yes, see, thank you, Zach.
Speaker 1 (25:23):
So yeah, the game will we'll we'll decide as a
crew a little bit later on what game we're actually picking.
You think I'm saying that, Yeah, that's we can start there.
But the litany the lady is is a long one.
Speaker 4 (25:39):
You think I'm like researching, and of course you do.
Speaker 3 (25:43):
Of course you do.
Speaker 2 (25:44):
Okay, I can't deny that.
Speaker 3 (25:46):
Okay, you're the analytics guys.
Speaker 4 (25:48):
But I didn't know which game. For what it's worth,
I did not know which game. I knew we'd probably
do NBA playing Sight because it makes the most sense.
It's the most exciting thing that happening. Besides, of course
the Rocky's astros. I knew that could be it. It
could be good.
Speaker 3 (25:59):
You never know.
Speaker 1 (26:00):
Oh oh, we we might even pivot picked w NBA
games before.
Speaker 4 (26:05):
Well, you're no, we had to stop doing that because
you're too good at it.
Speaker 3 (26:09):
Is that why we stopped. Is that why we stopped? Yeah,
we watched the first round of the draft last night.
Speaker 1 (26:16):
Yeah, and uh, UCLA had six first round picks. I mean, good, lord, yeah,
I think they were and they were the underdog in
the national championship game. They had six players taken in
the first round.
Speaker 3 (26:29):
Good?
Speaker 4 (26:30):
But also, how long has it been since it wasn't
Yukon or South Carolina and like winning championships.
Speaker 2 (26:35):
I mean, I don't know.
Speaker 4 (26:36):
I don't follow women's college basketball that close by.
Speaker 2 (26:39):
No, those are like the two.
Speaker 4 (26:40):
Premier PROGRAMSNESSE was up there, was up there with Kim
right now.
Speaker 2 (26:47):
If I was going to I mean, you.
Speaker 4 (26:48):
Just asked the average basketball fan, they're going to say
South Carolina and they're on the top two.
Speaker 1 (26:53):
So talking about the Lakers, if they happened to get
through their first round, can Luca come back at any point?
Speaker 3 (27:01):
What's what's the word? I mean? Can he come back?
He can?
Speaker 1 (27:04):
He's eligible, I mean not eligible. But oh, I don't know,
I mean, I mean he I don't know lucas threshold
of pain what that is. But when he walked off
the court after pulling the hamstring, he could hardly walk,
and if it really if it affected him that much
(27:25):
to walk that day, then I mean that could be
a Honestly, that could be a four to six week deal.
So I don't think they have any chance to come
out of the first round against the Rockets without those
two players. But I guess conceivably he could come back.
Speaker 4 (27:44):
I like how you framed it as his pain tolerance. Well,
I don't know, I mean, I don't I don't know
if a grade two.
Speaker 3 (27:50):
Tough guy, yeah, that's what they said.
Speaker 4 (27:52):
Okay, but then you would you would know more about
soft tissue injuries than I would.
Speaker 2 (27:57):
But is in grade two like you can barely move well?
Speaker 1 (28:02):
I mean, whenever you have a pulled hamstring, you've torn
some of the fiber in the hamstring, right. Grade one
is the least amount of tearing. Grade three I'm not
sure if that would represent a complete tear, but it's
you don't want a grade three, so his his is
in between. But that's I mean, some guys just heal quicker.
(28:26):
I know he went to Europe not exactly sure what
he was doing, but I'd like him to make a
public so that if it actually works, then what is it?
You know, it's a plane ticket for us absolutely, we
can go No. But I what I'm saying is hamstring
injury is a little bit different than you know, like
a broken rib or a dislocated show. I mean in
(28:48):
terms of the pain tolerance, that's a hard thing to
play through. Even for Luca, who can kind of play
his game offensively at times, can be like the old man.
Speaker 3 (29:00):
Game at the y m c A.
Speaker 1 (29:02):
He he he can slow you down, He'll make you
defend at his pace. He's got a great euro step
and but you still have to be able to run
up and down the court. And that's that's the challenge
I think with with a Grade two, with any sort
of hamstring injury at all. So I just don't know
how quickly a guy like that is going to heal.
Speaker 2 (29:27):
This stuff.
Speaker 3 (29:27):
Zach Seegers, When did you get funky? Zachyah?
Speaker 4 (29:30):
Seriously, I mean I know about parliament and also Grant.
Speaker 3 (29:34):
Grant told me what to play for Rick.
Speaker 2 (29:35):
Lewis oh.
Speaker 3 (29:39):
Year and.
Speaker 2 (29:41):
That's good.
Speaker 4 (29:42):
We'll get a little bit of conversation about see you
here at the top of the are some good news
for CEU.
Speaker 2 (29:46):
They got a new quarterback. We'll talk about that.
Speaker 1 (29:48):
Uh.
Speaker 2 (29:48):
And I got to ask you guys, about.
Speaker 4 (29:49):
The controversy that went around over the weekend when they
played their spring game about them maybe being undersized. We'll
get into that coming up here in just a little bit.
I was watching a little bit of a get Up
this morning. They were talking about Nicole Jokic in the postseason,
and they were saying, you got to find a way
to speed this guy up. He went because it only
I don't remind it of it, because you were talking
about about Doncic and about the way he likes to
(30:12):
play his game, and it feels like I don't know
what the recipe is to stop Joker entirely.
Speaker 1 (30:20):
Maybe neither does anybody else.
Speaker 3 (30:24):
Go ahead, No, I.
Speaker 2 (30:25):
Mean, that's that's it.
Speaker 4 (30:26):
So it's like I understand that we get so many
years into this thing and everybody has, Wow, this is
what you gotta do. You got to you got to
limit his you know, make him a score. You know,
remember the longest time, it was like, oh, make him
a score, don't let him get facilitate.
Speaker 3 (30:38):
That was Lebron.
Speaker 1 (30:39):
That was sort of the Lebron way idea of playing Jokic.
I would say this, if you think back to last
year and and what could possibly happen this year when
they play Oklahoma City, if the officials let Alex Caruso
do to.
Speaker 3 (31:01):
What they allowed him to do last year. Uh, he didn't.
He didn't play him all the time, but he played
him enough.
Speaker 1 (31:09):
Then Yeah. I mean, if I'm devald Adaman, I want
I don't. I don't even know how you go about
this in the NBA, of whether you talk about it
publicly before the game start. I mean he has talked
about it, he said. I've heard him say in a
press conference. Nobody in our league is officiated the way
(31:32):
Nicole is.
Speaker 3 (31:33):
Not one guy. I mean it was.
Speaker 1 (31:36):
It was almost in a pleading sort of way, and
I completely agree with him.
Speaker 3 (31:42):
So I again, I mean.
Speaker 1 (31:46):
Rudy Gobert is, as you said, a four time defensive
player of the Year. Yeah, he's a He's a really
good defensive player. He's not going to stop him. I
I would say, I would make the Nuggets prove that
guys like Christian Brown and a few other perimeter guys
are going to be willing at a key time to
(32:10):
step up and shoot a wide open three point shot.
There's one thing, and I think Brown's gotten better down
the stretch, be a little more confident Okay, it's but
it's one thing, you know, shooting it in a regular
season game. It's another thing shooting it in a two
point game with four minutes to go in the fourth
in a series tied at two games apiece. Then do
(32:30):
you do you really want that shot? But if I
if I'm defending the Nuggets, I'm gonna make Christian shoot
that ball, and if it goes in, I'll live with it.
And then again, I think the Caruso factor. You know,
I'm not for I'm not for maiming anybody. I'm really not.
(32:53):
I'm not advocating, you know, trying to blow somebody's knee out,
But damn but I'm not.
Speaker 3 (33:01):
If I'm Joki, I might just.
Speaker 1 (33:06):
In a real sort of pinpoint way, put the tip
of my elbow in the side of Caruso's ear one time. Oops,
my bad. I mean they let they let him get
away with murder. Caruso is my size, I mean, not
not as thick, but Caruso sixty five six four and
(33:27):
a half six five.
Speaker 3 (33:28):
I mean, can you imagine meat? I mean, what are
and and so.
Speaker 1 (33:32):
He gets away with stuff because because he's this little
guy trying to play this giant call a.
Speaker 3 (33:35):
Foul on this dude.
Speaker 4 (33:37):
It reminded me of it's not a great perfect analogy,
but remind me of, well, they're not gonna call holding
on every single play, so we're just gonna hold the
hell out of these guys.
Speaker 2 (33:46):
If you're a defensive back playing against the receiver with.
Speaker 3 (33:49):
One call, but then the next three or four you're
not gonna.
Speaker 4 (33:51):
Call, so they just buy the math. They won't call this.
So for CRUs so, yeah, I'm gonna get a couple
of fouls, but you know what, they're gonna got four
or five that they are kind of close, and hey,
it's playoff basketball.
Speaker 3 (34:03):
Yeah, we just got to.
Speaker 2 (34:03):
Let it go.
Speaker 4 (34:05):
And you're right, Nicola Jokisch. And maybe it's incumbent a
little bit on his teammates too, to sort of help
end that process. And they're a little bit different this year.
You know, Hardaway is a big, big plus they didn't
have Hardaway last year, so some of those wide open shots,
if you create him for Hardaway, then that's that's a
little bit. It's a little bit different deal.
Speaker 1 (34:24):
And listen, I think I think Christian Brown is starting
to sort of come into his own a little bit
down the stretch. So he's never gonna be maybe a
great knockdown three point shooter, but he's going to be
a competent guy that if you give him an open shot,
he's got the confidence that, Hey, I'm gonna let this
thing go and I know I'm gonna make it.
Speaker 2 (34:42):
I can't wait, I can't wait to see it.
Speaker 4 (34:44):
All right, we have news and traffic coming up here
at the top of the hour. A major wreck on
eastbound I seventy that we're gonna hear more from Davill
brian on. It's a three quarters of a mile east
of Eisenhower On and the Johnson Tunnels. Eastbound I seventy
is closed. Traffic is being held at the west entrance
of the tunnel, so we have more of that with
Dave ol Brian coming up here at the top of
the air with news and traffic neck
