Yeah, I've never been to Redding. I wanted to do
some shows up that way because I thought I was
going to be filming in Pennsylvania this summer. So I
was gearing up to do a bunch of local shows
and Reading was the first one we booked. And then
my schedule changed and I'm no longer going to be
in Pennsylvania. But I did not want to miss coming
to Redding having never been there before. So I'm so

this is the lone show that weekend. Actually, I'm very
proud of this hour. It's a brand new hour since
my last quession came out, where I'm talking a lot
more about my childhood again and fun stories with my
mom and where my life is currently. I just think,
you know, people need that communal laugh experience because you're

not getting anywhere else these days. Comedies aren't coming to
movie theaters, so this is the place to come and
feel good. Yeah.
Speaker 1 (01:09):
Absolutely, we are grateful that you have chosen us. So
this tour it started a while ago, right.
Speaker 2 (01:16):
Yeah, I started it last year. Where normally I tour,
you know, consistently. The tours last about two years.
Speaker 3 (01:23):
I booked two big action projects back to back. It
took like a six month break where I was doing
shows to you know, keep thinks going.
Speaker 2 (01:30):
But I filmed the a Netflix series with Will Ferrell
called The Hawk that's going to come out this summer
where he plays a professional golfer and I'm his caddie.
So I'm excited for that one.
Speaker 3 (01:42):
And then I went straight into this crazy female comedy
it'll be a Netflix movie next year with Kim Kardashian,
Nicky Glazer, and Brenda Song where we just like get.
Speaker 2 (01:53):
Into a bunch of hygienk in Vegas.
Speaker 3 (01:55):
So those are on.
Speaker 2 (01:56):
The horizon, which took me away from stand up for
a little bit. But now I'm back on the road.
And what I like about it was that it sort
of infused a new energy into my tour. Whenever I've
been off the road and I get back on it,
makes me feel like energetic and creatively get things popping
off nice.
Speaker 1 (02:15):
Well, I'm definitely excited for both of those projects. They
both sound like tons of fun. And I mentioned a
bunch of your projects at the beginning here, but what
I didn't mention is maybe.
Speaker 3 (02:24):
The biggest one of all.
Speaker 1 (02:25):
Congratulations on being in the biggest movie of last year,
Nibbles Maple Stick and Zootopia too.
Speaker 3 (02:33):
Oh thank you.
Speaker 2 (02:34):
Yeah, that was another unexpected turn in my career.
Speaker 3 (02:37):
That Disney wanted me to meet about the secret movie
and they showed me a picture of Nibbles Maple Stick
and I was like, you mean I could play a
beaver and a Disney movie or a kidding me, this
is incredible and so I immediately was like, absolutely. But
when you film a Disney movie, because it's so top secret,
(02:58):
they don't give you a script. So I had no
clue that my character was this main part of this movie.
So when I went and watched the screening, I just
could not believe that. You know, growing up in the
town of eight thousand people, suddenly I'm a main part
in this two billion dollar Kissy franchise. So that was
(03:22):
so cool. And I have all these kids come up
to me with their nibbles merged all those and little
plush toy dolls. It's really awesome.
Speaker 1 (03:31):
That's amazing. And I have to say, as an adult
with no kids, I watched it and thoroughly enjoyed it
myself as well.
Speaker 3 (03:37):
So good. I love hearing that. Yeah, I fought the
movie was done. You know, it took nine years for
it to come to light. Oh, they you know, really
took their time getting it right. And it's such a fun,
incredible movie that both kids and adults seem to really
have gravitated towards.
Speaker 1 (03:53):
Yeah, and I understand because of it. Did you attend
your first Oscars this year?
Speaker 2 (03:58):
I did?
Speaker 3 (03:58):
Yeah, I mean that was another cool part of this
project is that it got nominated for all the things,
so they included me in the Golden Globes and the
Oscars for the movie. So I had never you know,
twenty three years of being in the LA to eighteen
years of being a professional actor and comedian. It was
(04:20):
such a cool thing to get to be a part of,
you know, our businesses biggest night. It definitely was like
a pinch me moment where I felt, you know, everything
had kind of come full circle. So that was a
really big honor.
Speaker 1 (04:36):
Well, I'm so happy for you. You definitely deserve it. Last
year a huge year for you. It sounds like this
year is going to be another huge year for you.
Speaker 3 (04:45):
And back to you.
Speaker 1 (04:47):
Yeah, back to your tour here for a second. Taking
care of biscuits. Do biscuits have a starring role in
the material again? I know you've talked about them before.
Speaker 3 (04:57):
You know, they don't. It just more was a fun title.
I wanted something that people read and it made them chuckle,
given that sense that this would be like a fun,
silly show, and that's exactly what it is. I mean,
I do refer to biscuits at some point in a
very funny way, but it's not like the star of
the show, right. Oh, it's more than just like a
(05:19):
very fun silly vibe. Because you know, there's just so
much going on in the world right now, everything's so heavy.
I want this to be a night where people get
to just be light and silly and laugh with each other.
And that's exactly what's been happening on this tour. People
seem to really enjoy it. So I'm glad to be,
(05:40):
you know, bringing that sort of levity to everybody right now.
Speaker 1 (05:43):
Yeah, well, if anyone can deliver that, I'm sure you can.
You are just human, sunshine, and you entertain the masses.
How do you entertain yourself while you're on tour?
Speaker 3 (05:54):
Honestly, just sleeping is the best best thing for me.
I'm so busy and tour, you know, the road is
pretty daunting where I've got a four hour drive ahead
of me. Just taking it easy, watching Netflix, chilling. That
really is my happy place when I'm a touring, It's
just kind of taking it down a notch. And then
(06:14):
when I'm home, like you know, having a brunch with friends,
and that's the best thing, just a little a nice
work life balance, but also taking care of myself on
the road.
Speaker 1 (06:24):
I can totally understand that. Like it's been very clear
throughout this last ten minutes, you are extremely busy, and
again we're so grateful that you're making time for us
and that you're stopping in reading. We feel so special.
