Speaker 1 (00:00):
It's the weekend. It's gonna be a beautiful day today,
most of tomorrow is gonna be beautiful. They say. Late
in the day, there's gonna be some passing thunderstorms, showers.
You know that's gonna happen. Every time you start talking
about the weather too far out of the bad weather
sneaks into it. But this is nice to enjoy today.

(00:22):
Today is gonna be beautiful. Enjoy the day. In the
Big three, let's start with the mayor's race. Mayor Adams,
a former cop, gets endorsements from several law enforcement unions,
and matter of fact, most of them.

Speaker 2 (00:36):
Don't tell me about law enforcement over time, tell me
about how we brought down crime in the city.

Speaker 3 (00:43):
That's what our.

Speaker 1 (00:45):
By the way, crime in the city so far this
year is the lowest it's been in history. Killings this
year the lowest they have been in history. In the
latest polling, as you know, Harris comes in. Adams comes
in fourth, behind Mom, Donnie Cuomo, and Sliwa, who are
locked in a statistical three way tie. Republican Curtis Sliwa

(01:09):
is very much in this race.

Speaker 4 (01:11):
The one thing everybody knows, you can buy, rent, leash
or own Kurtis Sliwa, the billionaires on all three of
these candidates. You know who owns me the spirit of
my mother and father, the blue collar working class.

Speaker 3 (01:25):
That's you.

Speaker 4 (01:25):
I dedicate this shitty too when I become mayor.

Speaker 1 (01:28):
That's a great point. That's a great point. No scandals,
nothing in his past. Coming up at nine oh five,
Curtis Lee will be here live in Washington. Donald Trump
has been diagnosed with the condition that affects his veins
and cardiovascular system.

Speaker 5 (01:45):
This diagnosis is a progressive one, meaning that there's no
curative treatment or intervention. Sort certainly can lead to persistent swelling,
which can lead to persistent pain and difficulties with mobility
at the age of seventy nine can be difficult at
the age of seventy nine, while also being the president
can be a tremendous amount of work.

Speaker 1 (02:02):
Doctor Youngkatz Nelson from the Vein Clinic will be here
at nine twenty to explain what the president has and
how it is treated. And in East Rockaway in Nasa County,
over one thousand gallons of oil leaks into the Mill.

Speaker 5 (02:18):
River, so's everywhere on the boats of jet skis Like
now we're going to be responsible, clean and it's like,
who's going to clean it now?

Speaker 1 (02:25):
This is a cooling area cooling oil and it's considered
non hazardous, but still affects wildlife and prevents people from swimming.
PSEENG is responsible for the spill, and they say they
are handling it. In the Senate, they voted to cut
funding for NPR Radio for being more political than public radio.

(02:46):
It's about the nine billion dollars that we're going to
save or ninety billion dollars in the tenure window, and
where I come from, that's still a lot of money.
Another broadcast that is going to go away for being
too political, The Late Show with the Trump hating Stephen Colbert.

Speaker 6 (03:03):
It's not just the end of our show, but it's
the end of the Late Show on CBS.

Speaker 1 (03:08):
I'm not being replaced. This is all just going away. Yeah,
he killed the Late Show. Poor David Letterman who created that.
He just killed the Late Show. Stephen Colbert just could
not help himself. All across the country, they've been trying
to say, the CNN to MSNBC. Look, the American people

(03:30):
are rejecting this. You gotta change your ways. This is
new ownership just about everywhere saying you got to change
your ways. We want to make money, we want people
to like us, and they refuse. And so what happens, Well,
person after person is finding out what happens. They end
up losing their jobs and in this case, entire franchise.

(03:53):
They feel so bad for David Letterman. We're gonna talk
more about that during the show. But let's talk about
what's going on in the mayoral election, because a lot
is happening. There's a whole lot of moving parts going on.
Zuri mom Donnie got a big wake up call. So
Zura mom Donni went down to Washington right for that

(04:14):
socialist breakfast where all the crazies from Congress came to
fawn over him.

Speaker 7 (04:20):
I think he's a very personal, smart young man.

Speaker 5 (04:24):
It's just beautiful to have someone who is so authentic.

Speaker 1 (04:29):
You know that money cannot buy that.

Speaker 7 (04:32):
Zora and Mandani is an incredible talent.

Speaker 3 (04:34):
Hard not to be won over. You have Alc and Zahura.
That's a winning combos.

Speaker 1 (04:39):
This guy is not a communist, he's not a socialist.
He's an advocate for a small capitalism. He says he's
a socialist. If you ask him, he says I'm a
democratic socialist. I'm a socialist. He doesn't try to hide it,
So don't cover that up. Don't say you met with him,

(04:59):
and then you came way thinking, oh, he's not a socialist. No,
he is. Everything he says he's gonna do, free buses,
government owned grocery stores, rent control to the point where
they can't. It's a rent freeze. Everything he says he's
gonna do is socialist. And he wants to go after

(05:23):
the billionaires. And that's why, by the way, and that's
coming up, the billionaires will not even meet with him.
There was a meeting set up and most of them
didn't even show up. They don't want to talk to him.
He's going to find out how important that is. When
you're running a political campaign. You got to watch out
what you say. You gotta watch out when you tell

(05:44):
these billionaires who all own companies or run companies, or
are responsible for the finances of that company. It's really
difficult when you tell them not only that is their
personal income tax going to be hit hard, but their
corporate tax is going to And you think they're gonna say, oh,
but like you, here's some money. Takes a lot of
money to run this campaign. He's gonna find out the

(06:07):
hard way. And it's one of the reasons that, Yeah,
he gets AOC and he gets Bernie Sanders. They love him, right,
they get the he gets the endorsement of them, But
everybody else is keeping away, including all the most powerful
New Yorkers. Hochel no endorsement right now, Schumer, no endorsement

(06:29):
for Mondanni. The guy that's getting the most heat for
that is Hakeem Jefferies. We have TVs on here right now.
I'm looking right off the top. There are people going
after Jeffries in the hall, saying, what are you gonna
When are you gonna endorse mom? Donnie? When are you
gonna endorse mom? Donnie? When might that happen? And over

(06:50):
and over again. He says, you know, I'm not ready
for that.

Speaker 5 (06:54):
Why are you not endorsing the guy that won the
Democratic primary in a contested election in your backyard. Well,
I look forward to sitting down and talking to him.

Speaker 4 (07:02):
I didn't get involved in that primary election, and I
don't know him.

Speaker 1 (07:05):
Well, yeah, he keeps coming up from every with every
excuse from the world. I got to meet him, you know.
And by the way, in the past, they all everybody
I just talked about, all the Democrats jumped on immediately
if anybody wins the Democratic nomination, they automatically get their endorsement.

(07:26):
This time, it's even they're scared. Even the Democrats, even
left leaning Democrats who don't go as far as him,
are scared of what he says. It is interesting, though,
that Jeffries yesterday got up to give a speech when

(07:47):
they were talking about cuts to NPR and cuts to
usai D, he got up and started talking about affordability.
So a lot of the people that met, including Josh
Gotttheimer in New Jersey that met with Mom Donnie the
other day, they didn't want to meet with him because
they were going to endorse him, or they liked his policies,

(08:08):
they liked his campaign. They thought he was onto something
when he talked about affordability, and now you're going to
listen to it. More and more Democrats are going to
talk about affordability because they believe that's why he won,
because he tapped into something of an issue that they
were ignoring. They've been searching for an issue, so Mom

(08:32):
Donnie at least gave the Democratic Party a direction. But
they're not gonna they're not going to talk about any
of the policies he did. So he he had this
meeting with the billionaires, and many of them were supposed
to be there and didn't show up. Jamie Diamond is
probably the most famous who didn't show up. Some of
the real big ones didn't show up. Some people did

(08:53):
show up and met with him, including Loretta Hirsch and uh,
it was interesting what she had to say. And this is,
by the way, this is what a lot of people
say about him.

Speaker 8 (09:03):
They heard a really charming, athable guy who is well prepared.
He made jokes, he made self deprecating jokes, but they
did not hear someone who changed his policies. And so
if you had concerns about his economic policies going into
the meeting, you had the same concerns going out.

Speaker 1 (09:20):
That was very nice, that was very corporate. And what
she's saying is, there's no way in hell we're giving
this guy any money, because he's going to come after
all of our corporations and he's going to come after
our paychecks. And by the way, the Republican Party, they're
grabbing on to Ma Mom Donnie. They love it. They

(09:40):
won't stop talking about him. Watch Fox News. He comes
up every fifteen minutes. They want to paint the Democratic
Party with this guy. They're making him the leader of
the Democratic Party.

Speaker 7 (09:51):
It would be a disaster for New York and for
this country. And I think it's quite telling that this individual,
a known communist, has been spending time in Washington this
week meeting with leaders on Capitol Hill.

Speaker 1 (10:03):
Yeah, and you heard Cuomo grab onto this too, How
he's dangerous, how he's going to ruin the city. You're
going to hear more about that in the weeks to come.
It's going to be a fascinating election with national ramifications,
and we'll keep talking about it. In the meantime. A
well known NFL player says he likes when his wife
nags him. We'll tell you about that. Plus tickets to

(10:26):
see The Who at a local venue at h twenty five.
Stay with us now the interview we've been waiting for
all day. Curtis leewa Republican candidate for New York City mayor. Congratulations, Curtis,
that latest poll is really eye opening. You've been saying
from the beginning. We had you on a couple of
months ago. You've been saying from the beginning, you can

(10:48):
win this race, and this poll proves it's true.

Speaker 2 (10:53):
Not only that, but Larry, with a sitting mayor mired
in corruption involving his police command, a former police commissioner
charging him with running the police department as if it
were the Gambino crime family, this guy had the gall
to say that crime is down in the City of

(11:14):
New York. I'm in all three hundred and fifty neighborhood,
says you know, Larry, I've yet to have one person
come up to me and say, oh, Curtis, you got
it wrong. I feel so much safer with Eric Adams
as the mayor. And because he's failed on the issue
of law and order and quality of life, which is
number three and four in the polls, has not provided
affordable housing and the cost of living is skyrocketing. He's

(11:38):
a failed mayor. And that's why Jorhan Mondami has risen
from nowhere. Six months ago, Larry, nobody knew who saw
on Mondami, was not even his neighbors. Now he's an
international figure. And I told you back then, follow the numbers.
I start with thirty percent of the vote. If I
get a few more percentage points, you Larry, are talking

(11:59):
to mayor of the City of New York. It will
not be Eric Adams, it will not be Cormo. It
is going to be a run between those that support
Mondami on the left and those in the middle and
the right who support Curtish Leeway.

Speaker 1 (12:14):
Well, I really am pulling for you, and I hope
that's true. I'd love to see you as the mayor
of New York City, and I think New York City
would be better for it. You know, we got a
couple of talkbacks that I want to play for you.
Everybody wants to help your campaign. You've got a lot
of supporters on this radio station. Here's the first one.

Speaker 2 (12:30):
Larry, when you get Curtis on, you got to tell
Curtis listen, man. Look, he's great for the safety of
the city, no doubt about it.

Speaker 1 (12:39):
But I think that's more of a concern for older people.
He needs to reach out to younger voters. He needs
to bring some people on that can reach.

Speaker 3 (12:49):
Out to younger voters. We can do this, Curtis, come on, baby,
let's do this.

Speaker 1 (12:55):
Go ahead.

Speaker 3 (12:56):
Larry's correct.

Speaker 2 (12:58):
In fact, if you look at my campaign, it's made
up all of millennials and gen Ziers. If you look
at the successful presidential campaign of Donald Trump, he was
able masterfully to bring on board a number of male,
mostly male, very few female millennials and gen Ziers, and
I believe that was the difference in him being able

(13:20):
to win the battleground statesall seven and the popular vote.
So there's no doubt about it. All the millennials and
the gen Zers who are now the majority of the population,
they are the majority of the voters.

Speaker 3 (13:33):
I'm a baby boomer.

Speaker 2 (13:34):
I know a lot of people don't want to hear
that the baby boomers have either fled to Florida or
they've gone to heaven.

Speaker 3 (13:40):
We're not the majority anymore.

Speaker 2 (13:42):
They are, and there are plenty of your sons and
daughters and grandchildren who have common since we're getting them
on board. They're not all in for zorn Mondami, But cautionary, Larry,
stop attacking his religion, stop attacking his culture. Stick to
the issue, and you'll get the millennials, you'll get to
gen z Is on our side. But all the other nonsense,

(14:05):
who should drop out stay in his college transcript. All
you do is make him a martyr and a victim
and get more of that peer group to side with him.

Speaker 1 (14:14):
It's really fascinating, and I agree with what you just
said that you should stick to the issues. And I'll
tell you what, the billionaires in this city are sticking
to the issues. Because he was supposed to have a
meeting with them and they wouldn't even show up. Half
of them weren't even there, including Jamie Diamond. And then
he goes down to Washington to meet with Democrats and
only the crazy showed up to talk to him. Some

(14:34):
of the biggest Democrats in the state won't even endorse them.
They're reluctant to endorse them. I really believe Zuri Mamdani
and I thought that was the most shocking thing in
this poll, by the way, how low he was compared
to other polls. I think Curtis, he's losing support now.

Speaker 3 (14:51):
He's losing support.

Speaker 2 (14:53):
But Eric Adams is making his quest to become mayor
a lot easier corruption with the fact that the city
has fallen into the abyss. Look around, walk around the streets,
the homeless, the emotionally disturbed, the empty storefronts.

Speaker 3 (15:09):
You can't blame that on Zoora Mandami.

Speaker 2 (15:12):
So what Eric Adams has to do is he's got
to determine and decide you're gonna run this race.

Speaker 3 (15:17):
You better admit to all the sins you've committed.

Speaker 2 (15:20):
Donald Trump saved you, or you'd be in jail with
Menendez and Cuomo, who is now like the political zombie
apologizing I should have run a better race. You better
start apologizing for slapping fannies and killing granny's.

Speaker 3 (15:34):
Because you'll never have a chance to be mayor.

Speaker 2 (15:37):
You'll never have a chance to be mayor until you
admit I've been slapping fannies and killing granny's.

Speaker 1 (15:42):
And I'm sorry that sounds like a bumper sticker. I
have another caller. And by the way, this one a
lot of people on talkback have said. And so it
goes right to your identity, right to your uniform. So
you might have even heard this before.

Speaker 6 (16:00):
Please tell Curtis not to wear the beret anymore. I
love Curtis and I hope he's going to be our
next mayor, but please, no more beret. People don't identify
with the Guardian Angels anymore.

Speaker 1 (16:17):
What do you think of that?

Speaker 2 (16:19):
First off, I wear the beret because in forty six
years of history of the Guardian Angels serving New Yorkers.
Six have died in the line of duty, thirty two
have been seriously injured. And I have to tell your
caller respectfully. When I go into neighborhoods, the only Republican
they've ever seen is Abraham Lincoln on a five dollar bill.

Speaker 3 (16:40):
They identify the beret.

Speaker 2 (16:42):
They accept me because of the service we've provided to
the inner city. You want to win this election, you
have to use everything available. I went to the wake
for Bernard, Terrik and Patterson at the cathedral. Rudy Giuliani
did not recognize me without my beret. He passed me twice.
Boddle passed me three times. They're not recognize me without

(17:03):
the red beret because you have to take your red
beret off in church. Please, if the red beret is
the reason that you won't vote for me, and you
vote for a guy with a five thousand dollars customized suit,
who's the mayor and angew Como Smack and Fannies and
Killy Granny's, that's your reason for not voting for me.
I'm going back into the subways where I campaign, where

(17:25):
people can identify me by that red beret.

Speaker 1 (17:27):
Curtis Leewall Republican candidate for mayor. You got a lot
of fans on this station, including the host, and we're
all polling for you. Hope to talk to you again soon.

Speaker 2 (17:37):
Oh just go to Slee work for NYC dot com
and you'll learn all about my campaign. Slee Work for
NYC dot Com.

Speaker 1 (17:44):
Thanks so much, Curtis Leewall. Well, one of the big
stories today is, of course the vein affliction that Donald
Trump suffered from me. Had to be treated by doctors.
They're saying it's going to be around for a long time,
and luckily we have one of the preeminent voices in
the world, one of the pre eminent doctors in the

(18:05):
world when it comes to vain afflictions, doctor Jan katz Nelson,
founder and CEO of USA Vein Clinics. By the way,
they have over one hundred and sixty locations, forty in
New York City alone. They've been around for twenty years,
and of course doctor katz Nelson is considered one of
the experts on this in the world. Doctor, thanks so

(18:28):
much for spending some time with us today on this.

Speaker 9 (18:32):
Thank you for calling me.

Speaker 1 (18:34):
Absolutely. Let's start out with what he has and maybe
you can explain it to me.

Speaker 9 (18:43):
So pregnant. Trump has a very common condition called superficial
venus in sufficiency. But thirty percent of adults and this
age suffer from this condition. And it's basically prompt congestion
that caused by broken valve preventing return of venus use
blood towards the heart and the personal Trump works very hard,

(19:07):
he stands a lot, he travels a lot on the plane,
and it's all is not very thin, and it's all
exacerbate the problem with the legs. It's very common, easy
to diagnose, and I'm glad it's just a venus insufficiency,
not heart problem, not kidney problem. And the reason it's

(19:30):
good because it's easily treatable. The treatments for venus insufficiency
it's the ablatians, sclorotherapists and take ten to fifteen minutes.
They're actually all covered by insurance and the science is
very very well established. And after the treatment is swelling, pain,

(19:52):
night cramps.

Speaker 3 (19:54):
All disappears.

Speaker 9 (19:56):
What's important to know is if left and treated, it
can be a very serious condition, even deadly. Even asymptomatic
venus in sufficiency could increase risk of DVT more than
five times, and more than about ten thousand people in

(20:19):
US die from DVT every year in the United States.

Speaker 1 (20:24):
Are you at an airport right now? I hope you
don't miss your flight? Are we holding you up for something?
Are here?

Speaker 9 (20:30):
I'm in an airport.

Speaker 1 (20:32):
If I heard announcements in the background, Well that's a
little bit frightening that if it's not treated. So how
how does someone know if they might have it?

Speaker 3 (20:44):
Well, just sound?

Speaker 9 (20:45):
First of all, it's because it's very common. You can
almost self diagnose if someone has a bulging veins, big
roppie darkas veins, swollen blacks, discoloration, brownish red discoloration thinks
in nine crabs ninety nine percent it will be veins.
Because it's very very common. And the perfect diagnosis is

(21:09):
just ultra sound. It's an inexpensive, easy ultrasound basket. Ulture
sound The important thing. It needs to be done in
standing position because we need to check how valves work
against the gravity. If ultra sound is done in aliging position,
you'll not see it. It needs to be in standing
and not every laboratory knows how to do ultra sound

(21:32):
standing position, usually just in the places specialized for vane treatments.
This study is done, so it's very important to find clinics,
dain treatment clinic that will help with this, and then
we can identify exactly what which veins are have a
broken valve, and we can do the treatment basically close

(21:54):
those segments and redirect the blood flow into the right
veins instead of the wrong vein. That's and it's done,
and they will just sound guidance under we exactly see
what we're doing. And then the result and outcome and
improvement is extraordinary and immediate.

Speaker 3 (22:13):
Great.

Speaker 1 (22:13):
Will you keep saying it's treatable? Is it curable?

Speaker 9 (22:17):
Yes, yes, it's curable. So these veins, it's mechanical problem.
We fix this mechanical problem. Think like a flood in
the basement. You have a main pump and some pump
and it valve between those pumps pipes are broken. Whatever
goes up falls down. So we fix the problem with

(22:37):
the broken valve, and some pump just takes the water
up and and flood stops. Exactly the same thing happens
with the veins. When we remove these segments, they take
blood in the wrong opposite direction, and everything goes in
the right direction. Everything stops no more swelling, no more pain.

(23:01):
Because veins, you know, bad circulation creates two types of problem.
It's congestion and poor nutrition. Poor nutrition leads to pain,
conjunctions to swelling, and because of stagnation, think like a
pond against instead of river, you have this DVT, you know,
deep vein trombosis because blood flow is sluggish and trump

(23:26):
can happen. That's the problem. And I would imagine biggest
problem with the condition.

Speaker 1 (23:30):
And I would imagine your recommendation would be if anyone
thinks that they may have this, have any of the
symptoms that you talked about a moment ago, they get
right in to see a doctor right and go to
one of the US vein clinics.

Speaker 9 (23:47):
We tried to see most of the patients within two
or three days because we have so many locations. We
have almost one hundred seventy locations to three states, more
than fourteen New York cologue. We work seven days a week,
long hours, just try to make sure that people have
access to care and then if left untreated in many situations,

(24:10):
disease progress towards day.

Speaker 3 (24:11):
Also's wounds.

Speaker 9 (24:13):
Between one to two percent of Medicare patients have open
wood from Bayin disease, which is terrible, completely preventable, and
completely treatable. So I think hopefully, I'm sure President Trump
will be fine and he will get appropriate treatment, and
hopefully many many thousands of listeners will pay attention and

(24:39):
help themselves by simply calling and second treatment. That will
be very successful.

Speaker 3 (24:45):
No doubts.

Speaker 1 (24:45):
Right, there's always some good that comes out of this,
and people get to learn a lot. And I think
a lot of people that didn't know what you just
told them, No, now, thank you so much for being
with us.

Speaker 10 (24:54):
Doctor John, And I can only come and that President
Trump that extraordinary thing providing transparency and.

Speaker 9 (25:04):
Shading light to health issues that no other president's ever
done before. So that's that's a very good trend.

Speaker 1 (25:14):
Yeah, very well said, Yeah, that's exactly right. Most hied them,
and he didn't. He came right out and said this,
and he might save a lot of people. Doctor Jan
katz Nelson, founder and CEO of us A vein Clinics
over one hundred and sixty locations. You got forty right
here in New York alone, and they've been around for

(25:34):
forty years. By the way, you can learn more about
it and maybe you can get an appointment if you
need to us a Vain clinics dot com doctor. Thanks
so much for your time,
