Speaker 2 (04:18):
All right. Are you ready for the top two? Yeah,
the top two.

Speaker 5 (04:21):
These are interesting words because I'll bet one hundred bucks
you probably screw these up.

Speaker 2 (04:26):
All right, let's see.

Speaker 5 (04:28):
Okay, number two, I'm not saying you, I'm saying you
know one.

Speaker 2 (04:32):
Number two is the louver. Rah. Yeah, the louver.

Speaker 4 (04:38):
It's very difficult for our American mouths. Yeah, let's say this.

Speaker 5 (04:43):
The museum in France is not the Louver. It's the
louver ra louve ra. All right, And the number one
most mispronounced word of twenty twenty five, according to Babbel,
Are you ready that guy that just got elected to.

Speaker 2 (04:58):

Speaker 2 (05:18):
So Ron, mom, Donnie? Look at you nail it? Ninety
three point one w pocron so Ron.

Speaker 5 (05:25):
So you're supposed to emphasize the second part, So Ron mom, Donnie, Mom, Donnie.

Speaker 2 (05:32):
And he's the new mayor. Okay, and he's got the
most mispronounced name of the year. That makes sense, that
lines up famous. Yeah, all right.

Christmas showcased the lineup of country stars this week, and
everybody was on there. Jordan Davis, Lady A your Man,
Riley Green, Meghan Maroney, my girl I mentioned Jordan Davis
was with Little Big Town. Parker McCollum delivered a standout performance. Anyway,

(07:48):
it's a big night. The country artists come out and
they talk about what Christmas reminds them of. Megan Maroney
told a story about when she was a kid, they
always watched It's a Wonderful Life. Her dad would help
make Christmas cookies then eat eat them all because I
think there's a I don't have some sort of coincidence that.

Speaker 2 (08:08):
Dad and Santa both love chocolate chip cookies.

Speaker 5 (08:11):
Similar You get those stories during the CMA Country Christmas
So if you missed it, they are going to rebroadcast
it coming up Monday night on ABC.

Speaker 2 (08:21):
You can watch that at ten pm. See to Stay
of Late Monday night, Thomas Rhett made some news.

Speaker 5 (08:27):
He has announced a surprise EP, Live from Fenway, set
to release at midnight December fifth. He just made this announcement.
The EP features performances of his concert at Boston's Boston's
Fenway Park this past summer, along with adorable backstage footage

(08:47):
of Thomas Rhett, his wife Lauren, their four daughters. The
sold out show was a highlight of Thomas's twenty twenty
five Better in Boots tour.

Speaker 2 (08:57):
So, if you're a big Thomas Rhett fan, December fifth,
this might be done question? Okay, No, there's no dumb questions.

Speaker 3 (09:02):
I don't know.

Speaker 2 (09:02):
Wait till you hear it.

Speaker 4 (09:03):
Okay, is December fifth midnight tonight?

Speaker 2 (09:09):
Or last night? Was the released at midnight on just
Oh you know what? It came out at midnight last night?
Is that what?

Speaker 5 (09:17):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (09:17):
December fifth means Yeah, it does mean that. It means
it's out.

Speaker 5 (09:21):
Okay. If you're a Thomas Rhet fan, you're gonna want
to look for that Live from Fenway. Fun again.

Speaker 2 (09:27):
No, never a dumb question, especially around me.

Speaker 5 (09:30):
Ninety three point one w POC traffic. I have a
handle on all the dumbness. Trust me, okay, thank you.

Speaker 2 (09:38):
All right, let's see what's going on the roads here the.

Speaker 8 (09:41):
dayDay ninety three point one WPOC.

Speaker 5 (10:07):
The best part of waking up in Baltimore's waking up
with you and you being a part of our dedicated dozen,
our twelve listeners. We're so proud just talking to Sherman,
he's absolutely one of our twelve, and just getting to
know each other. It's amazing what we all go through.
That's all I have to say, the lives that we
all have. You know, you always have to remember whatever

(10:30):
you're going through, the other person's going through something crazy too,
you know what I mean. Yeah, So always keep that
in mind when somebody's having a bad day and you
know what.

Speaker 2 (10:40):
Colder snow flurries. That was what we woke up to.

Speaker 5 (10:43):
But the accumulation of a coating to an inch in
some areas possible today areas of freezing drizzle this afternoon,
untreated services will be slippery, so continue to be careful
out there, drive and using your windshield, wipers, headlights on.
A little while ago, Bethany, before we get to the
high seat, we were talking about the five most mispronounced words,

(11:06):
according to Babbel, They somehow figured this out. I don't know,
but they said it was Denzil, not Denzel. It was
a seed of Mitafin was number four, number three, monnge
Monjaro is number four, a seed of metaphants three. The
louverra Museum, not the Louver. The Louver is number two,

(11:27):
and Zorron mom Donnie is number one. But it got
us to thinking, you know, here in Baltimore we mispronounced
a lot of words. Yeah, we can booger up the
English language like nobody's business.

Speaker 2 (11:39):
Even Baltimore gets.

Speaker 5 (11:41):
Mispronounced because people say Baltimore and there's no d in
it Baltimore, right.

Speaker 2 (11:47):
I remember my grandparents.

Speaker 5 (11:49):
My granddad used to say, Chimley santy Claus comes down
the chim Lee.

Speaker 2 (11:57):
And don't some people say Westminster. Yeah, Bob Delmont does, No.

Speaker 5 (12:02):
He does, he says Westminster. I think he does. You
have to ask him when he comes in. I think
I think he's the one. Somebody says, what he something
about west minst I don't know it's Westminster, right, of course,
it's it's you put your dishes in the sink, not
the zinc. Really not the zinc. Back in the day,

(12:26):
my grandparents sink it was the zinc. I don't know
if that was a German thing or whatever. There are
any other words around Baltimore that we mispronounced and screw up.
Tames Street, you know, it isn't Tame's, is it? It's
it's how do you say that tem tem? It's Tame Street?

Speaker 2 (12:41):
Well, I mean I guess it depends.

Speaker 4 (12:43):
I mean, yeah, you know if it's if that's what
it is locally, then that's what it is.

Speaker 5 (12:47):
I don't know, so I would love to And yes, Jennifer,
you can be number thirteen. We'll take a Baker's dozen,
but we'll put you in the twelve because Jennifer, definitely
she just texted us real quick. What other words are
you respond It's for really buggering up?

Speaker 4 (13:03):
I hear a lot of librarry, Oh I do too,
Ambulance police, that's okay, that's okay, I mess out technically
we miss I don't know, yeah, but ambalance that's definitely.

Speaker 2 (13:16):
Like it begs the question like is it subjective or not? Yeah,
I don't know.

Speaker 5 (13:21):
But there are a lot of words that we mess
up here in Baltimore, and that's part of who we
are city.

Speaker 2 (13:27):
Like Baltimore. Yeah, yeah, but we're famous, I think for heaven.

Speaker 5 (13:34):
Really the expertise of Booget butchering the English language. Well,
let's jump on the hot seat if you are the
ninth caller eight hundred three two one thirty six ninety three,
we'll get things heat it up around here on all.

Speaker 3 (13:47):
Right, can you help me? Following out of grain? All right,
good morning to Chuck.

Speaker 5 (14:04):
He's one of our dedicated dozen here at ninety three
point one w poc one of our twelve listeners who
is going to help us with a hot seat. But
we were talking about words we mispronounced h as soon
as as soon as we started jelly roll who we
were getting ready to give away tickets for and shock
hopefully you'll win these tickets in a second. Uh, we
started getting inundated with wsh so many. Oh, that's one

(14:25):
of the words. We definitely mess up that one.

Speaker 2 (14:27):
I cannot believe. Yeah, wash and water? How are you
adding a whole nother letter? I don't know.

Speaker 5 (14:34):
Water Woo are in Baltimore, and wood are in Baltimore
with a D and.

Speaker 4 (14:40):
Water I feel like is very regional because like if
you go to Boston, they're like they say it without
the R like yeah, but you say you go to
Long Island, they say, like different there too, And.

Speaker 2 (14:54):
Listen to this one.

Speaker 5 (14:54):
Hey, don't forget the latest anything with hard tease like
mah oh that my kids do this all the time. Yeah,
there's they don't say the tea that they swallow the
tea's uh And Manhattan, No, Manhattan, how do you even
say it with Manhattan?

Speaker 2 (15:13):
I don't know Manhattan. Will you say it again Manhattan?

Speaker 5 (15:17):
Well you're saying the tea I don't know if it's
much Manhattan as it is Mien.

Speaker 2 (15:23):
Chuck. Let me hear you say Mitton once Minton. Yeah, alright,
all right, everybody, Well.

Speaker 5 (15:31):
Listen other than the two.

Speaker 6 (15:34):
So I'm from Tennessee, so it sounds a little different.

Speaker 5 (15:38):
Everybody has their regional flair, if you will. We mess
up a lot of words around here. So, Chuck, how
are you doing today, buddy?

Speaker 6 (15:48):
Well, despite the snow, I'm doing pretty great, standing out
here in it, just trying to get some work done.

Speaker 2 (15:53):
All right. How bad is the snow where you are?

Speaker 6 (15:57):
I'm down and I'm in Baltimore, So it's just and
we got a light dusting on the ground, nothing too serious.

Speaker 2 (16:03):
All right. That's good to get you in the Christmas spirit. Yeah,
it kind of gets kind of things feeling festive.

Speaker 6 (16:10):
Not Baltimore.

Speaker 5 (16:12):
Well well, Chuck, all right, look we got the Jelly
Roll experience. It's the sold out DC jingle Ball. Jelly
Roll's going to be there, and we would love Chuck
to be there with this pair of tickets. If you
can get past the hot seat with Mss Bethany.

Speaker 2 (16:28):
You've done this before, Chuck. You know the rules.

Speaker 4 (16:30):
Three questions, three seconds to answer each. If you don't
do it fast enough, we're hanging up on you.

Speaker 2 (16:37):
All right, here we go.

Speaker 4 (16:39):
Question number one, what are you going into the weekend
really worried about?

Speaker 6 (16:48):
If I'm gonna shoot straight tomorrow when I go to
the gun range?

Speaker 2 (16:51):
Ah, where do you shoot?

Speaker 6 (16:54):
We're gonna go and place in glen Burnie. There it's
for my birthday. My birthday was on Monday.

Speaker 2 (16:59):
Oh, very cool. All right, all right, Chuck, happy birthday.
That's right. It's all about the breath. Gotta hold the breath.

Speaker 6 (17:07):
Oh yeah, all right.

Speaker 2 (17:09):
It seems like the people around you should be more
worried about the Question number two, what's Oh wait, we
got a bad connection with you? Chuck. I don't know
what the heck's going on? Is everything okay? All right?

(17:29):
Oh I'm good. Is that better? Yeah? That's better? All right?
Now what was your question about them?

Speaker 4 (17:33):
Okay, Chuck? What's a moment you wish you could relive?
Just to feel it again?

Speaker 2 (17:42):
My wedding day? Oh, Chuck? The romantic what's missus Chuck's name?

Speaker 5 (17:49):
Melanie?

Speaker 2 (17:50):

was in November? Long time? All right? Well, congratulations on that. Wonderful.

Speaker 5 (18:02):

see jingle Ball? Let's see, we'll see.

Speaker 2 (18:06):
If you can get questions? I thought you were Melanie?

Speaker 5 (18:14):
All right?

Speaker 2 (18:17):
Last question. It's an audio one make for us.

Speaker 4 (18:20):
The sound, Chuck that you make when you first walk
outside and it's really cold in the morning.

Speaker 5 (18:32):
Let's hear that one more time, Melanie. How often do
you get to hear that?

Speaker 2 (18:41):
That's a melody? You got the tickets? Congratulations?

Speaker 5 (18:48):
Yay, God God.

Speaker 2 (18:58):
Because maybe no fans that I'm crazy.

(20:11):

Speaker 2 (20:13):
They don't have as much and there's always a problem.

a long long way to making that happen.

Are You A Charlotte?

Are You A Charlotte?

In 1997, actress Kristin Davis’ life was forever changed when she took on the role of Charlotte York in Sex and the City. As we watched Carrie, Samantha, Miranda and Charlotte navigate relationships in NYC, the show helped push once unacceptable conversation topics out of the shadows and altered the narrative around women and sex. We all saw ourselves in them as they searched for fulfillment in life, sex and friendships. Now, Kristin Davis wants to connect with you, the fans, and share untold stories and all the behind the scenes. Together, with Kristin and special guests, what will begin with Sex and the City will evolve into talks about themes that are still so relevant today. "Are you a Charlotte?" is much more than just rewatching this beloved show, it brings the past and the present together as we talk with heart, humor and of course some optimism.
