Speaker 1 (00:00):
Some mornings, it's tough to remember to take everything with
you out the door, your lunch, your security badge, whatever
you need to get in at work. Other mornings, everything
just seems to click. You know what the difference is
those slow mornings. You probably missed ninety three point one
WPOC The Michael J Morning Show. Hope you can join

(00:20):

maybe you can catch it here on our podcast. Thanks
for checking in, follow, like, share, and keep listening.

Speaker 2 (00:32):
It's Bob Delmont and Candice. Michael J is on vacation.
Probably getting a good night's sleep every single night, right,
and something that you know we all try to do.
I try to get to bed as early as I can.
But you do you have a bedtime routine. I'm bringing
this up knowing that I don't really have a bedtime.
I know a lot of people do. I think maybe

(00:53):
the ladies do more than the guys. I know. I
just get up there, I brush my teeth. I can't
get into bed fast enough. Hey, now I do like
this is gross. I should wash my face and I
don't watch it.

Speaker 3 (01:03):
Yeah, so no, I mean for ladies, they understand I
use the makeup life. I wash my face, brush the teeth.
But I'm just kind of simple. There are a lot
of people with more significant bedtime routines, whether it be skincare.
I know some people use lavender, some people spray different things.
So I'm always curious what would help with a bedtimer?

Speaker 2 (01:24):
What about before bed? Before bedtime, like prepping for the
next day, food and everything, Maybe a lunch or you
know that kind of thing like that could be part
of the routine before you go to bed. Yeah, like
packing everything the night before. Are you Are you a
shower in the morning person or shower at night?

Speaker 3 (01:42):
No, I may get up in the morning and get
to this skill as fast as I can.

Speaker 2 (01:45):
Wow, it's the hours or whatever. You do the same thing, right, Yeah, I.

Speaker 4 (01:49):
Do, And especially right now with the pollen. I cannot
go to bed feeling like I didn't take a shower.

Speaker 5 (01:53):
So yeah, I have.

Speaker 2 (01:55):
To do You have to shower the pollen. How much
pollen is on you? Aba?

Speaker 4 (01:58):
What do you?

Speaker 2 (01:58):
I mean?

Speaker 5 (01:59):
But like, I'm kind of in the sticks. But also
I just you know, I'm allergic.

Speaker 2 (02:04):
To it, so I can.

Speaker 4 (02:06):
But I put magnesium on the bottom of my feet
before I go to bed.

Speaker 2 (02:09):
Why what does that do?

Speaker 5 (02:10):
Calm you down? Yeah?

Speaker 3 (02:11):
Yeah, really new trendy thing right now, right with magnesium
and then there's different forms of magnesium that I've learned about.

Speaker 2 (02:20):
Yes, on your feet.

Speaker 4 (02:23):
It's biggest poores in your body are on the bottom
of your feet, so it absorbs into your bloodstream.

Speaker 3 (02:30):
Quicker, I guess yeah, wow, yeah, I know. Some people
use lavender oil to try to help. Yes, like on
your wrists, Yeah, do that, or even.

Speaker 4 (02:39):
On your neck for peppermint oil in your belly button
if you need to like calm anything.

Speaker 2 (02:45):
I tell you these are all calming. Yeah, okay, you
want's pretty tight, you know, these lotions and everything actually.

Speaker 5 (02:52):
So tight.

Speaker 2 (02:59):
And you have no idea And that's.

Speaker 5 (03:01):
Like as type as I get.

Speaker 3 (03:03):
Yeah, so we want to know about you listening to
us part of our family here seven seven nine six
two is start with hay or high and let us know.

Speaker 2 (03:12):
What do you do for or one eight hundred three
two one three six nine three if you'd like to
call that way too real quick. My wife she does
not every night, but she'll do uh the spray, she'll
spray something on the bed. Yeah, is that what it is? Lavender? Okay?
I don't know what it is. I'm almost insulted. I'm like,
is it mean like shower before I go to bed?

(03:32):
I don't know that us And we're talking about strange
bedtime routines. Do you have an odd one one eight
hundred three two one three six nine three or of
course the uh texting at seven seven nine six two
start with hay or high got a couple of calls canvas.
Some people have some strange built to them. It's different.

Speaker 6 (03:49):
I like to watch at least one episode of a
TV show so that I can unwind and kind of
separate from the day.

Speaker 2 (03:54):
I just I do that, honestly. It's a little embarrassing.
But I have to pop a mouth guard in because
I grind my teeth. Well, my dead routines have to
wash my face, brush my teeth, boil my hair, and
put my face mask. Ont I clean the living room,
the bathroom, the bedroom, the kitchen, and make make sure
everything's nice and clean.

Speaker 3 (04:13):
Seconds.

Speaker 2 (04:14):
Well, see, I don't do that, but I understand that,
like waking up to like a clean like if you
go on vacation, the house has to be spotless before
I go on vacation, so when I come back I
have enough to do for laundry and everything. At least
the house is spotless, So I understand that bedtime routine
or whatever.

Speaker 5 (04:30):
I get it.

Speaker 2 (04:30):
Yeah, all right, you're putting my nesum on your feet,
aren't you.

Speaker 5 (04:33):
I am putting my magnesium on my feet.

Speaker 4 (04:34):
You know what. I'm waking up and I'm looking great.

Speaker 2 (04:37):
I'm doing good. Right, send me some information. We're talking
about bedtime routines, different routines. Do we have any texters
on that.

Speaker 3 (04:46):
I think they said, Hey, my nighttime routine is watching
a movie with my sister and taking my dog for
a walk.

Speaker 2 (04:52):
That's good, awesome. We've got a phone call from Janet. Janet,
your bedtime routine, I think I might like say, the
nighttime richel.

Speaker 4 (05:01):
For me is too strawberry margaritas, two and a half
hour baths, and then I'm ready for bed.

Speaker 2 (05:07):
Wow, that is a heck of a routines. Two strawberry margarite.
It's very specific, by the way. I like that.

Speaker 5 (05:14):
I love that's the chocolate edible though.

Speaker 2 (05:18):
Here you Okay, my wife loves margarita, so she would
definitely approve. We dig out the strawberry one. All right,
very good, Thank you, you are pop culture protein boost
It's the brief. On ninety three point one WPOC.

Speaker 3 (05:32):
Firefighters and HAZMAD teams responded to a fire at the
Battery Warehouse store in Westminster last night. It happened around
seven thirty in the eight hundred block of Baltimore Boulevard,
where smoke was fuming from the building. Two alarms were
called and more than one hundred and thirty people responded
to the scene too. Carroll County fire personnel were taken
to the hospital with heat related injuries. The Battery Warehouse

(05:53):
is a large retail store with hazardous materials, including lithium batteries.

Speaker 5 (05:58):
A small plane.

Speaker 3 (06:00):
Landed on the beach in Ocean City yesterday.

Speaker 5 (06:04):
This is incredible.

Speaker 3 (06:05):
Crison Police officers were called just after five point thirty
last night to the beach in the area of ninety
fourth Street for a reported aircraft emergency. Two people were
in the plane and were able to escape with no
reported injuries. Maryland State Police are leading an investigation. The
Chesapeake Bay Blue Crab winter dredge survey has reported a

(06:26):
significant increase in the blue crab population, estimating nearly three
hundred and fifty million crabs in the Bay. This year,
a fifty percent rise from last year. The survey also
found two hundred and twenty eight million juvenile blue crabs,
a twenty percent increase from the previous year.

Speaker 2 (06:43):
So let mean they're going to be cheaper than for
this can be expensive.

Speaker 3 (06:48):
Yeah, we're looking to go for crabs this weekend. Oh nice, Yes,
all right, that is your brief?

Speaker 2 (06:53):
Who's this, Christy? Congratulations you're calling number nine? Where you're from?

Speaker 5 (06:58):
I'm from Cityside, Maryland.

Speaker 2 (07:00):
Candace is here. She's very happy you want I am.

Speaker 5 (07:02):
It's a good Tuesday morning for you.

Speaker 2 (07:04):
Huh yeah, it definitely is my fright funny day. What's
on the agenda for today? What do you have to do?

Speaker 6 (07:10):
Work?

Speaker 2 (07:10):
After work? My daughter has her strings concert and chorus?
What are they singing? Chorus? Like? What's the song these days?
When I was a kid, it was Neil Diamond. They're
coming to America. I still know to this day. What
about your kids?

Speaker 5 (07:24):
To be honest, I don't know what you're singing in
chorus because she's keeping it a secret.

Speaker 2 (07:28):
And she won't tell me. Well, then that'll be a
good concept, a little surprise for you. All right, Christy.
We'll hang on the line and we'll get your information.
You get to see a Cole Wetzel at the anthem. Okay,
all right, awesome, thank you, kenn Is. Do you have
a chorus song you remember from a kid? We all
took chorus. I Ona was not in chorus. We're not
at all. No.

Speaker 5 (07:47):
I can't sing.

Speaker 3 (07:48):
Anything, okay, as you witness here in studio, and I
try to say country songs.

Speaker 2 (07:54):
We don't hear that enough. I don't think. All right,
Michael Jay's music sitting minute in sixty seconds. You don't know,
oh like you own music? Row all right, congratulations. Morgan
Wallen has reached thirty billion streams on Spotify, so this
makes them only like the fifty third overall artists to
reach that mark, but he's the first country artist to

(08:15):
do so. So he joins Beyonce, Lady Gaga, littl Wayne Lick,
and Park Maroon five. It's a pretty exclusive club.

Speaker 5 (08:22):
R I think it is.

Speaker 2 (08:23):
The Grand o' opry is gonna honor the US military
and celebrate the nation's two hundred and fiftieth birthday with
their special salute of the Troops are made nineteenth. Wait,
that's today. I'm looking at the calendar among the performers
Craig Morgan, Lauren Elena Warren, Treaty and the one hundred
the US Army Band, OK, so that'd be cool. And

(08:44):
also the Frontmen. I don't know if you know who
the frontmen are. So in the nineties they were like
Loan Storry, remember Loan Star, So the frontman for that,
Richie McDonald, Restless Hearts, Larry Stewart and Little Texas's Tim Rushlow.
They formed a band called the Frontman. So they've joined
the fourth July lineup for Fort Campbell's American two one
hundred and fifty Celebration featuring the Legend of Charlie Daniel's

(09:06):
Tribute concert, which is going to feature a hologram of
Charlie which is going to be odd. But Aaron Tippen
will be there too, so that should be good. And
that's your Music City minute. I got a lot of
apps on my phone. My favorite, of course is the
iHeartRadio app Make.

Speaker 5 (09:19):
Usay that's a correct answer.

Speaker 2 (09:21):
Number one, pre said on the phone right there, make
sure you do that, and we've got plenty of chances
to win. There's a talk back I could go on
right hours. What is your favorite app that is not
like an Instagram or Netflix, something that is useful to
you that maybe a lot of people use, or maybe
people don't use it that often. I want to hear

(09:42):
from you one eight hundred three to two one three
six nine three, or you could text seven to seven
nine six two, begin with hey or Hi, what's your
favorite app? Ava?

Speaker 4 (09:52):
Well, it's kind of social media, but I don't view
it that way. I love Pinterest, okay, because I love
I find it more of like a creative outlet that
doesn't feel like it's zap my time in like a
bad way where if I'm on Instagram or tech talk
and I'm like scrolling or whatever. But I love pintress
as a creative outlet, and I love creating boards for
literally everything. It's so much fun a vision board. Do
you have a vision boards for everything? I got a

(10:13):
wedding vision board, I've.

Speaker 2 (10:15):
Got a house.

Speaker 5 (10:16):
Oh, I could go on. We've got the vibe out.

Speaker 2 (10:22):
Is this a hard copy vision board or compute like
a graphic digital? Yes? Can you make it into a
hard cup? Could you in here? I could brandon and
make it as big as that screen behind.

Speaker 4 (10:34):
We could have a whole PowerPoint presentation on what I
feel like my wedding should look like.

Speaker 2 (10:37):
Do you have a favorite app? What's coming?

Speaker 3 (10:39):
My favorite app recently has become it's called Think LG.

Speaker 5 (10:45):
Think You and here's why.

Speaker 3 (10:47):
So on Saturday of Mother's Day weekend, a washing machine
broke and I was like, I cannot go a weekend
without watching and so Dan bought a washing machine that day.
Thank God lows how, it delivered the next morning and
I was back in business.

Speaker 5 (11:03):
However, when I got.

Speaker 3 (11:04):
The washing machine, I realized that there was no delicate
cycle on it, and so we went through the manual
and the way that you can do it is through
the app.

Speaker 5 (11:14):
And so now it's a.

Speaker 2 (11:16):
Smart washer, Yes, washing machine that you use the app.

Speaker 3 (11:20):
I had no idea that this isn't a idea until
now I'm a user and this has become my favorite app.
So I put the laundry in, you put the detergent
in right, and then you press remote start.

Speaker 5 (11:34):
Then I go to my app and I start my
washing machine.

Speaker 2 (11:38):
Why is there a delicate setting on the app and
not on the actual No, No, I'm not that that
sounds like a flaw in the design of Oh.

Speaker 5 (11:46):
This is the way LG. This is the really like
up and coming thing.

Speaker 2 (11:50):
That's so weird. He's my new favorite app. My favorite
app is my wife and I go on vacation. We
go to Mexico. And when I say that, I trust me.
It's it's cheaper to go where we go than Ocean
City area, I swear. So anyway, the place we go,
there's an uh, there's an area we go to, and
there's an app for it that these women actually keep

(12:11):
up to date. So anywhere in this area, they let
you know where the new restaurants are, where you can
get on adult card, where you and they keep updating it,
where's the fun places to go? And yeah, just and
I'm thinking to myself that must that'd be a great
idea for like anywhere basically, yea in the state of Maryland,
like Baltimore County, where the best restaurants in you know,

(12:32):
Towson or or Columbia specific for the areas, so if
you're in there, you can just like look it up
and be like, oh, is the place of the go
or the movies or whatever. I don't know, I think
that's a good idea.

Speaker 3 (12:41):
Yeah, We're going on a cruise this summer and everything
is done through the appy.

Speaker 2 (12:47):
Yeah.

Speaker 5 (12:48):
Everything, that's good.

Speaker 3 (12:49):
So we're getting some texts we want to hear from
you seven to seven nine six two start with hey
or high let us know what is your favorite app?

Speaker 2 (12:55):
Or one eight three two one three six nine three
call in with your favorite app? This flood talking about apps.
Absolutely you use. My popular apps are like you know, Instagram, Netflix,
things like that. But maybe something that people don't use.
Not everybody uses.

Speaker 5 (13:10):
All the time, productivity.

Speaker 2 (13:11):
Yeah, like some text yes we do.

Speaker 3 (13:14):
So there's one from Capri saying I love Canva. Canada
is very useful and a lot of children are using
it in school. I know teachers are introducing it. My
daughter actually had to do an entire project on Canva.
So it's sort of like it's graphics really and you
can create anything that you can imagine.

Speaker 2 (13:35):
Oh wow, pretty good.

Speaker 3 (13:36):
So it's nice that the students are becoming more savvy
with it and adults use it as well. Another text
saying favorite apps Calm for inspiration and daily talk.

Speaker 2 (13:47):
I've used before, Yes, not, I mean a couple of
times Forgot.

Speaker 5 (13:50):
I haven't checked it out, but I've heard it's it's
pretty funny.

Speaker 4 (13:53):
I have too, and Matthew McConaughey apparently has like a
whole little thing on there.

Speaker 2 (13:56):
For comm Yeah. Oh, like they use his voice or
something for breath breath out.

Speaker 4 (14:01):
Yeah, we need to Okay.

Speaker 3 (14:03):
There's another text that says fetch, where you can scan
your receipts cashed out with one hundred and fifty dollars
in Disney gift cards to take on our trip. I
throw the receipts out anyway, so why not turn them
into gift cards?

Speaker 5 (14:14):
Oh wow, I need to look in to fetch.

Speaker 2 (14:16):
Yeah, me too.

Speaker 5 (14:17):
This might be my favorite text.

Speaker 3 (14:19):
Hey, Bob Candae, my favorite app is iHeart so I
can listen to.

Speaker 5 (14:22):
My favorite sensory radio station Z in Wilmington, North Carolina.

Speaker 2 (14:27):
My Heart radio app. That's a good one, very good,
good one. Let's see what else here. There's an app
called likewise, and you enter all the information about the
latest books that you've read that you really liked, and
it'll tell you all of the books that are similar
to that. But you can read that brilliant good one.
What about you.

Speaker 6 (14:42):
It's like a scanner, like using your phone. Every once
in a while you need to scan like a government
document or something, but you don't have I don't own
a scanner anymore, but I do have a phone and
it works.

Speaker 2 (14:52):
I got scanner on mine. I never used it or whatever,
but yeah, that's a pretty good one. And you like Shazam, right, Ava,
Oh I love Shazama. Yeah, I mean people use that.
They tried to. Anywhere you are, you can pick up
what song it is.

Speaker 5 (15:04):
Another person say, yelp. They don't. They don't know how
many horrible meals that has saved me from.

Speaker 2 (15:10):
Yeah, definitely, all right, thanks for the call.
