And if you missed it last night on American Idol,
Marilyn's Brooks Roster and Ray Boyd's relationship was officially cemented.
Speaker 2 (03:24):
Was it consummated right on television?
Speaker 4 (03:26):
Well, she came out and made it official.
Speaker 1 (03:29):
Yes, So here's the deal. Ray's twenty four, Brooks is
twenty two. They're a very cute young couple. They had
the live announcement on stage revealing their real life relationship.
Somebody say aw. The announcement was made during Brooks's Top
nine performance, where Ray embraced him celebrated his success with
(03:50):
the big Old Hug. The moment was a surprise to
both contestants, with Brooks looking visibly shocked because I guess
the producers of American Idol set up the little love revelation.
They're smart when it comes to getting ratings. They want
to make sure everybody And that.
Speaker 4 (04:05):
Was great and the singing was great.
Speaker 2 (04:07):
Yeah.
Speaker 5 (04:07):
When we talk about Luke Bryan's jacket, what about it?
Speaker 4 (04:10):
It was black and like I had like glitter.
Speaker 1 (04:13):
Okay, it was it was a bomb. You looking got
it going on?
Speaker 2 (04:19):
All right?
Speaker 1 (04:19):
Well, Ella Langley had vision problems as a child. She
reveals that she had well, she had not double vision.
What did they call cross eyes? That's what you call it?
Speaker 6 (04:29):
Yeah, sometimes I'd just be a little cross on. Yeah,
everyone's singing my heart out. But then I had some
surgeries and then teacher's like, she just is not puting
attention in here. So homeschooled until sixth grade, and then
seventh grade went back to the same high school my
dad went to, graduated with thirty two kids.
Speaker 2 (04:45):
Oh my goodness. And wait a second. Then the surgery
happened right now, the doctor described it to me.
Speaker 6 (04:50):
I just had another one like two maybe three years ago,
and it's kind of brutal, honestly, Like they have to
take your eyeballs out.
Speaker 2 (04:58):
It's crazy to get in there. What's it called. I
don't know. Damn. Wait a second.
Speaker 5 (05:04):
We have a Texter, a nurse who was saying that
she's exaggerating.
Speaker 4 (05:08):
If they took her eyes out, she would be blind.
Speaker 5 (05:11):
They can take out lenses of the eye and replace
them cataract surgery.
Speaker 2 (05:15):
Well you just heard her. She claimed they took her
eyeballs out.
Speaker 4 (05:20):
So I don't know.
Speaker 2 (05:21):
I don't know.
Speaker 5 (05:22):
If we get a chance to interview Eliah Shoe, who
is a nurse at University of Maryland, All right, well,
maybe they don't take eyeballs out in Maryland.
Speaker 2 (05:28):
Maybe they do it in Alabama. I don't know.
Speaker 1 (05:32):
She's from a different part of the country. And finally
you got to hear this. This is Morgan Wallen and
Ella Langley on stage together last weekend. We've isolated a
little bit better version of it, and here's what you
can hear them singing.
Speaker 2 (05:44):
Listen up.
Speaker 1 (05:45):
This is coming out as being released on Friday.
Speaker 2 (05:58):
Can you make out anything of it. It's a little
bit more. It's still not much, no.
Speaker 5 (06:08):
But but it involves Ella. So Michael said, it's already
going to be a hit.
Speaker 1 (06:12):
He this little clip of what happened on American Idol
last night with Brooks Rosser.
Speaker 2 (06:16):
He's talking with what you'll hear anybody, because you're your
prince Charming?
Speaker 1 (06:22):
Oh god, anything you want to share with us?
Speaker 2 (06:27):
I well, somebody's here to surprise you. She's very excited. Yeah,
books didn't.
Speaker 1 (06:31):
He didn't know what to say at first, and then
they tell him that somebody's there to say hello.
Speaker 6 (06:37):
Ray.
Speaker 1 (06:38):
One of the biggest fans of Rocks is so Ray
came out. She's adorable. You know she's from Frederick.
Speaker 5 (06:46):
Right, yes, and now she's a Baltimore County resident in
Townsend in fact, so they're both from Maryland.
Speaker 4 (06:54):
Here's what Ray said, princess is here to claim her prince.
Speaker 2 (06:59):
Whoah, isn't that sweet?
Speaker 4 (07:03):
So we might hear Tim mcgral at their wedding.
Speaker 1 (07:05):
Yeah, maybe they're a very cute couple. I hope they
don't get married too soon. Though they're in the early twenties.
Speaker 2 (07:10):
They are give it.
Speaker 4 (07:11):
Time, you guys, and they've got a lot going on
right now.
Speaker 1 (07:13):
Yeah, we've got two Idle finalists, right, both from Baltimore.
Speaker 5 (07:17):
Right, Brooks is still on the show, so we're we're
written for him.
Speaker 2 (07:22):
You go, Brooks. Wouldn't it be wild if you wont?
Speaker 1 (07:24):
Yeah, So listen, it's only been twenty one days that
Candace has been officially half of the of the morning show.
Speaker 2 (07:31):
Right. It's Michael Jan Candace.
Speaker 1 (07:33):
And even though we've been friends for what fourteen fifteen years,
you know, when you were at Fox, you'd have me
on your show once in a while, and and then
the producers would be like, get him out of here
and don't ask them to come back too soon. And
then but we became friends, right, And so now that
we're together here, I'm getting to know you better, I think,
(07:54):
because we see each other daily, you know, and I'm
learning things about Candace daily, and yesterday I learned. I
think you eat the same thing every day, the exact
same thing, miss.
Speaker 5 (08:06):
Is Ali really learned about it because you see after
the show, Michael goes off and does his thing, and
then I go off and do my thing, and I'm like,
AVA help me.
Speaker 4 (08:16):
For a second. I you know, still learning the.
Speaker 5 (08:19):
Ropes, right, And so he passed by and he sees
me eating the same sandwich every day.
Speaker 2 (08:26):
You had that yesterday, didn't you, right.
Speaker 5 (08:29):
So yes, I eat the same thing every day for
breakfast and lunch, and I have for like twenty years.
Speaker 4 (08:37):
No, it did shift.
Speaker 5 (08:38):
So when I was at Fox, I'm gonna sound really
crazy now, No, we're not. When I was at Fox,
you know, we were on air at four thirty, right,
So I ate breakfast.
Speaker 4 (08:49):
On the on the way in, right, I understand.
Speaker 5 (08:51):
And so I had cereios and a red Solo cup
every day, so I would.
Speaker 1 (08:58):
So I was teasing you yesterday. But in all reality,
I believe a lot of people probably do that. You know,
maybe you have a piece of toast with butter every
morning with a cup of coffee, or maybe you do
pack and meal plan. Yes, I know a certain person
who works after us every day. I don't want to
throw anybody under the bus. But he has a tupperware
thing he comes in with every day. It's the exact
(09:19):
same chicken breast.
Speaker 4 (09:20):
It's not throwing him under the bus.
Speaker 5 (09:21):
So that was my breakfast, the cheerios and the solo cup, right,
and then my lunch every day at Fox was a
piece of chicken breast every day.
Speaker 2 (09:32):
Yes, the same chicken breast.
Speaker 1 (09:34):
Yes, well, I mean not the same exact chicken breast,
a chicken breast.
Speaker 5 (09:37):
But now that I'm here, switched a little. I do
overnight oats every morning, all right.
Speaker 2 (09:44):
And this red solo cup, no, in honor of Toby Keith.
Speaker 5 (09:48):
This No, this is just in a tupperware container, okay,
And there's nothing flashy about it. And then for lunch,
I have a chicken salad sandwich right.
Speaker 2 (09:56):
Down, all right. Well that's that's the regularity.
Speaker 4 (09:59):
We want I know about you.
Speaker 2 (10:01):
No, we want to know about you.
Speaker 5 (10:04):
Three one thirty six ninety three call us or Texas
seven seven.
Speaker 4 (10:08):
Nine six two. Start with hair on this Friday.
Speaker 1 (10:12):
We're going to be giving you a cuts from it
and kind of partying with Jason party.
Speaker 2 (10:17):
Yeah, and he's going to be getting a hold of us.
Speaker 1 (10:19):
Look at you working in the song titles I here
at ninety three point one d WITPOC, Michael Jay, and Candice.
Speaker 2 (10:25):
I love working with you.
Speaker 4 (10:26):
Well, we're learning a lot, I really do.
Speaker 2 (10:30):
Well.
Speaker 5 (10:30):
It's it's a pleasure to be here, a pleasure to
work with you, and a pleasure to hear from our listener.
Speaker 1 (10:35):
Here's here's why I specifically love working with you in
this situation because I'm getting to know you in a
different way than I knew when we had a It's
a professional relationship, but it's closer because now I get
to see how you actually are.
Speaker 4 (10:47):
And I eat a chicken salad sandwich every day.
Speaker 1 (10:49):
Yeah exactly, But I didn't know that you ate the
exact same chicken sandwich every day at the same time.
Oh yeah, and I would, and I've I've never done that,
and I would think that i'd get I'd be bored
with eating the same exact thing every day, but you
enjoyed it.
Speaker 5 (11:03):
To me, it's mindless because then I don't have to
think about calorie count and all that I already know
and I've so this is more. When I was at Fox,
I ate the same snack at the same time every day.
Speaker 4 (11:16):
But that's only because we hit commercial break at the
same time.
Speaker 2 (11:18):
Well that makes sense. Yeah, so.
Speaker 5 (11:21):
Now we're getting a lot of texters. So here's the question.
Speaker 1 (11:24):
We're throwing this out to you, all twelve of our
listeners because we want to know if Candice is unusual
or more typical than you might imagine.
Speaker 5 (11:32):
And so this person said, exactly how I feel. Eating
the same thing breakfast and lunch makes it easier. Not
having to figure out what to eat makes us and
calories and macros figured it out once and that's it,
especially for us early morning folks.
Speaker 4 (11:48):
Set it and forget it.
Speaker 1 (11:49):
I don't disagree with that, because I mean, it's less
of a stressful thing.
Speaker 7 (11:53):
I'll go, oh, what am I going to have today? Yeah,
that's one more thing you might not have time for.
I totally understand this. Now this afford me. So one
person said, Hey, I do the same.
Speaker 5 (12:03):
I've eaten a peanut butter and jelly sandwich for lunch
every single day since probably kindergarten. I'm now an adult
and I bring it to work every day and people
at work.
Speaker 4 (12:12):
Think it's funny.
Speaker 5 (12:13):
But then that person's not alone because somebody else said
that for lunch.
Speaker 4 (12:17):
Since I was a young kid, I.
Speaker 5 (12:19):
Eat a Jiff extra crunchy peanut butter and jelly sandwich
every day on wheat bread.
Speaker 1 (12:25):
I was just going to ask, because there's so many
different ways to have peanut butter and jelly. Right, you
can have strawberry jelly, grape jelly, and cherry jelly, and
then you can go with crunchy or smooth, and then you.
Speaker 2 (12:35):
Can have different kinds of bread.
Speaker 1 (12:37):
You might never have the same peanut butter and jelly
sandwich twice. Your chicken breast, on the other hand, is
they do you mix up the seasonings?
Speaker 2 (12:44):
Do you know? Different?
Speaker 5 (12:46):
And I make my own chicken salad. Oh okay, huh,
and it's the same thing.
Speaker 2 (12:52):
It's good though, I mean like, yeah, it's good.
Speaker 4 (12:54):
Same mao, same everything.
Speaker 1 (12:56):
You don't put any peppers, any banana peppers, nothing this season,
nothing special, no pepper nothing.
Speaker 4 (13:02):
I don't do seasonings when I'm on air.
Speaker 1 (13:04):
Okay, because you're very concerned about inflammation. Oh okay, with
salt and right right right, I don't put salt on anything.
I don't like this.
Speaker 5 (13:13):
Like when I started back on air, Dan goes, oh, well,
we won't be having ham anymore.
Speaker 2 (13:19):
Obviously there's a lot of salt in it. No ham
for cannas. Please take that off exactly. Hey, I eat
the same thing at school almost every day.
Speaker 1 (13:26):
Just got that text. Really, so there is a routine.
We all love consistency in our lives. That's a human need, right,
This is sweet. We get you up to speed every morning.
It's seven oh six. Here your pot culture protein boost.
Speaker 3 (13:42):
It's the brief on ninety three point ONEPOC.
Speaker 5 (13:46):

including the bike path on Guildford Road.
Speaker 4 (15:07):
That is your brief.
Speaker 2 (15:11):
I'm still here.
Speaker 4 (15:13):
I'm still standing everybody.
Speaker 2 (15:15):
That's just a ticket. Window't really okay. So here's the deal.
Speaker 1 (15:19):
Ninth caller at eight hundred and three two one thirty
six ninety three. You're gonna get Max McNown tickets. He's
going to be a Max mcnow is how he says
his name at the film More August second. You will
get the tickets if you can tell us why they're
called potholes. She's talking about potholes on eighty three. Why
(15:39):
are they called Wait a minute, you're gonna be surprised,
and maybe you know the answer.
Speaker 2 (15:43):
I can see everybody googling real quick.
Speaker 1 (15:45):
If you can tell us why they're called potholes, You're
definitely gonna go to the show.
Speaker 2 (15:49):
I'm going Michael Jay's music.
Speaker 3 (15:52):
Every music is in Michael Jay's music city.
Speaker 1 (15:58):
I was a mess as a little kid and still
a messes and a big kid, and this is like,
what have I signed up for? What have I signed
up for?
Speaker 4 (16:06):
Exactly?
Speaker 1 (16:06):
What's good? Well? I know so Ella Langley, who I
have just a fatuation with her music. She has released
this information in an interview that she had her eyeballs
taken out.
Speaker 6 (16:19):
Yeah, sometimes I'd just be a little cross on. Yeah,
everyone's singing my heart out. But then I had some
surgeries and then teacher's like, she just is not paying
attention in here. So homeschool until sixth grade and then
seventh grade went back to the same high school my
dad went to.
Speaker 4 (16:34):
Graduated with thirty two kids.
Speaker 1 (16:35):
Here's what's funny. Oh I'm not funny, but you know,
kids can be so mean. And there were some cross
eyed kids in my class. And you can still remember,
like third grade kids are like your eyes are crossed
and you're like trying to wear glasses or whatever. All
the kids that make fun of her. Oh, now look
at it, you know what I'm saying. Well, here's when
she revealed what happened after the surgeries.
Speaker 6 (16:54):
Now, the doctor described it to me. I just had
another one like two maybe three years ago, and it's
kind of brutal, honestly, like they have to take care
of the balls out. It's crazy.
Speaker 1 (17:04):
Get in.
Speaker 2 (17:05):
What's it cold? I don't know. She couldn't she couldn't
say it, but.
Speaker 5 (17:08):
It's called what Well, we've had some texters and one says, hey,
it's for bismus surgery.
Speaker 2 (17:14):
For business.
Speaker 4 (17:15):
They make incisions in the eye.
Speaker 5 (17:17):
And it'dust the muscles behind the eye.
Speaker 4 (17:20):
I've had it done. Oh and I have not had
it done.
Speaker 2 (17:23):
No texture, and they really do remove the eye ball.
Speaker 5 (17:29):
Yes, And we got another text saying that they're a
doctor and there are surgeries where they take out your
eye and put it back and it's normally due to
retinal issues.
Speaker 2 (17:39):
Okay, well listen whatever.
Speaker 1 (17:41):
Whatever eye doctor she had did an excellent job because
her eyes look perfect now, and everything else looks perfect.
And all the people, all those mean kids that were
probably making fun of her when.
Speaker 2 (17:51):
She did that.
Speaker 1 (17:52):
Yeah, let's see if they get backstage passes.
