fifty flipping weeks.
Speaker 2 (04:22):
It's amazing.
Speaker 4 (04:23):
I was pregnant. I'm like, hui, if it's.
Speaker 1 (04:25):

Speaker 2 (04:30):

been telling me, Michael J.
Speaker 1 (04:36):
We're going to be surprising you when you get back
from the Hall of Fame thing, And I'm like, well,
what is happening like?
Speaker 2 (04:42):
And I don't know what you've got planned.
Speaker 3 (04:43):
You can't tell Michael one secret, one hint, nothing, it's
all it's all been kept in the vault. But we
are celebrating this week after Michael's induction into the Country
Radio Hall of Fame.
Speaker 2 (04:57):
So what do you have?
Speaker 1 (04:58):
You have? All I know is this a three clips
in front of me that she wants me to play.
Speaker 3 (05:02):
He's back from Music City and you know, we've all
been sending our congratulations and messages and well wishes, and
I'm like, well, what about his friends from Nashville, and
so they wanted to send their will wishes.
Speaker 4 (05:14):
So every day this week at eight thirty, that's what
we're doing. So I don't know who you're aligning.
Speaker 2 (05:20):
I don't know who these are.
Speaker 3 (05:21):
This is all truly a surprise for Michael. So without waiting,
let's get to the first one.
Speaker 2 (05:26):
Okay ahead, play the first clip right here? Hey, Michael,
J gratulations. That's that's Darius, all of me so happy
for you. Congratulations.
Speaker 1 (05:40):
Oh my god, where is either like on an airplane
or where was he when he did that.
Speaker 3 (05:44):
He is somewhere moving around the country, but he stopped
and took a moment.
Speaker 2 (05:48):
I want to hear that again. Hold on, that's my buddy, Darius. Hey,

Speaker 2 (05:57):
So happy for you, so proud of you. Oh that's cool.
Speaker 1 (06:02):
That is really I love Darius. Yeah, he spent a
lot of time in Baltimore. He's an incredible golfer. I
could never play golf with him because it would be
I'd be so embarrassed.
Speaker 4 (06:13):
Well, apparently, according to the late great Toby Keith, you
play like a girl.
Speaker 2 (06:17):
No, and I don't know if that's politically correct.
Speaker 4 (06:20):
That's what he told you many years ago. But it's
still a joke that lives on too.
Speaker 2 (06:25):
All Right, So that's the first one you had, Darius.
Speaker 3 (06:27):
Okay, yeah, all right. Next up, we got a little
bit of a Maryland ty. Go ahead, all right, go.
Speaker 4 (06:33):

Speaker 2 (06:39):

supported low Ca, and we couldn't be more happy about
a Hall of Fame inductee.
Speaker 2 (07:06):
We love you, brother, be safe.
Speaker 1 (07:07):
We'll see So Preston and Chris, they're both the coolest guys.
Chris is from Anorumba County. Preston is originally from Indianapolis.
But that's crazy, you gotta.
Speaker 4 (07:17):
Well, you know, here's what I love about their message.
Speaker 3 (07:19):
And you and I know them, we've known them from
throughout the years, from different walks of life. But what
I really like about that is that you have had
an impact on their career and you've seen it play out,
and with that Maryland connection, it's pretty special.
Speaker 1 (07:36):
Well, I mean, they're just really good guys. They really are.
And even though Chris, you know, is in Tampa now,
he lives down there, he still roots for the Ravens.
Speaker 2 (07:45):
So I love that.
Speaker 3 (07:46):
Yeah, I love it, I Low Cash.
Speaker 4 (07:49):
So anyway, you said there's.
Speaker 3 (07:51):
Three, Yes, we have we have one more message for
you as well.
Speaker 2 (07:56):
Should I play it or okay?
Speaker 4 (07:58):
Fine?
Speaker 2 (07:58):
Go all right? So here's message number three. I can't
wait to hear what it is. I just heard you're
getting inducted into the Hall of Fame twenty twenty six. Congratulations,
I miss you. Just kudos and congratulations. You deserve it. Man,
he is the most chill dude in the world.
Speaker 1 (08:16):
That's Jackson. Indeed, who just got married. Isn't he on
his honeymoon? How did you guys get hold of him
on his honeymoon?
Speaker 4 (08:22):
We've got people who people.
Speaker 1 (08:24):
All right, Well, I want to send this shout out
to Chris and Preston. Love you guys, Love all three,
and love you guys for getting those messages in here.
That was so serious ironic story just popped in my head.
Listen to my buddies low cash because you just surprised
me with low cash.
Speaker 3 (08:41):
Yeah, and I was saying we were both on their
bus when they were like, it's going number one. Wow,
I'm tripping right now because it was in twenty fifteen.
Speaker 2 (08:51):
I forgot the year, but this is what happened.
Speaker 1 (08:53):
So I was at well, there's a buddy of mine
who gave me the video of a national anthem performance
in Odenton. Jackson Dean sang the national anthem and he
didn't just sing it, he recreated it. I was and
it blew my mind. It was like, it was so good.
(09:14):
Anybody you can google look it up on YouTube. Jackson
dene National Anthem. It's how he started his career. That
video got picked up by a couple of national TV shows,
including Ellen, and I'm watching them. I'm like, Holy, this
guy's incredible, right and I had met him in the Milion,
So what do I do? I take that video on
(09:35):
Jackson of Jackson Dean on low Cash's bus and I
will never forget Preston and he sat there and watched
every second of it, and I'm like.
Speaker 2 (09:45):
What do you think?
Speaker 1 (09:45):
Isn't this guy amazing? And he goes, yeah, he's really good.
But he goes, we would never sing the national anthem
that way. He goes, because the NFL wouldn't allow us
to change the national anthem because he melodically changed it.
But to me, I'm like, Okay, I understand that part
of it, but it was so good and it was
so good, and so how ironic is it that he
(10:08):
goes on to become a huge hit. You know, Jackson
Dene's an artists now and low Cash and you put.
Speaker 4 (10:13):
Them back to back, back to back.
Speaker 2 (10:14):
I'm getting goosebumps from that. That's wild.
Speaker 4 (10:16):
All comes full circle.
Speaker 3 (10:17):
Well, there's a lot of stuff that we're posting on
social media throughout the week as well, including some videos
of some stars that that we didn't necessarily put on
air today, but they're in there.

And like it.
Speaker 1 (11:15):
So it's all genres. BTS, which you were talking about.
BTS was just in Baltimore.
Speaker 3 (11:20):
Yeah, last night, and they had to bring people into
the stadium for shelter from the storms.
Speaker 2 (11:26):
Crazy.
Speaker 1 (11:27):
BTS is one of the biggest touring groups in the world.
Speaker 4 (11:31):
You had this whole thing.
Speaker 3 (11:32):
At BWI yesterday that was like pin where you're coming
from around the world to see BTS crazy.
Speaker 4 (11:37):
Yeah. So anyway back to Laney and Kenny.
Speaker 1 (11:40):
Yeah, they're going to be performing part of our twenty
twenty six iHeartRadio Music Festival. The reason we're making a
big deal about this right this moment is that at
nine to twenty this morning, you're going to get the
first of three chances today. You'll get one in the
nine am hour, at the one pm hour, and the
five pm hour. All Right, what you're going to do
(12:02):
is listen for a word. We'll give you the number
to text end two hundred, two hundred, and then you
could win a trip round trip for two to Vegas
to go see Kenny and Laney and everybody else. I
think that's pretty cool.
Speaker 3 (12:13):
It is very cool, to the point where as soon
as it was announced, I was like, huh, got to
get there, Yeah, yeah, it's it's gonna be a good shot.
Speaker 1 (12:20):
And now a moment of silence in memory that Candice
can no longer win prizes from WPOC after you joined
us starting this past April. So I told my daughter
this yesterday, and why do you have to take the
damn job.
