Speaker 4 (00:45):
On ninety three point one WPOC.

Speaker 2 (00:48):
Natha the artem Is two crew is on its way
to the Moon, giving Americans a first hand look at
life aboard the spacecraft as they travel farther from Earth
and any crew in more than half a century. They
launched on Wednesday night. One of the astronauts is Baltimore
County native Delaney Lyon's own Reid Wiseman. He spoke with
Fox News about what it feels like to be the

(01:08):
first humans to leave Earth orbit in fifty four years.

Speaker 5 (01:11):
We are definitely one hundred percent on our way to
the Moon. The lunar gravity will take over in a
couple of days here and start pulling us around the
far side. At the end of our translatter injection here
about an hour and a half ago, we just really
looked at each other. And I know the United States
has done this nineteen sixty eight through nineteen seventy two,
but it's just this is unbelievable.

Speaker 1 (01:29):
Do you remember being a kid and watching the rockets
go Oh, no, you weren't born yet.

Speaker 4 (01:33):
No, I wasn't born, but I remember researching.

Speaker 1 (01:35):
I remember the rockets going up and it was amazing.
I mean the world watch. Oh yeah.

Speaker 2 (01:40):
Well, we will continue to check in on these astronauts
during this ten day journey and the Baltimore Ravens are
reportedly playing a regular season game in Rio desan Naro, Brazil,
during the twenty twenty sixth NFL season. The Ravens will
play the Dallas Cowboys in the third week and Lamar
Jackson reacted to the news and he seems happy.

Speaker 6 (02:00):
Uh, I gotta go to Brazil once I gotta travel
at Brazil Wars.

Speaker 4 (02:06):
The Cowboys will be the designated home team.

Speaker 3 (02:09):
That is your brief in Candas, who's this? Say good
morning to Candace.

Speaker 4 (02:18):
Yea happy to be with you this morning.

Speaker 3 (02:21):
Happy Friday.

Speaker 7 (02:22):
True.

Speaker 3 (02:23):
Hey you're in there now?

Speaker 4 (02:26):
Thank you?

Speaker 1 (02:27):
Yeah? Any comments after three days of us together? What
do you think? Everything's good?

Speaker 5 (02:32):
No?

Speaker 3 (02:32):
No, I love it.

Speaker 8 (02:33):
I love it all right.

Speaker 3 (02:34):
Well, we love it all day long.

Speaker 1 (02:37):
Yeah, perfect, love you. You're going to be having a
great time too with the Thomas Rhet concert. How's that sound? Yeah,
Mellyweather August thirteenth, Brenda's in the house. Who do you
want to say a lot to? Real quick Brenda while
you're on the radio.

Speaker 7 (02:53):
I want to say hello to my friend Burnet because
I've turned her into country music listens every day too.

Speaker 5 (03:00):
Michael Jay's Music City Minute in sixty seconds.

Speaker 3 (03:03):
You don't know like you own music row.

Speaker 1 (03:05):
Well, it's obviously a thing that you prank people when
they're about to get really good news, because I got
pranked when they told me I was going to be
in the Country Radio Hall of Fame.

Speaker 3 (03:15):
I was told I to talk about salespeople. I don't
know what's a whole that was good. Yeah. Well, now
Tim McGrath's gotten pranked.

Speaker 1 (03:23):
His team has revealed that they pranked him, and they
pranked him good. They had him convinced that he was
going to get some bad news about his tour and they're.

Speaker 3 (03:32):
Like, oh, Tim, we got to have a conference call.

Speaker 1 (03:34):
We got everybody on it and we got problems. So
he's like, all right, I'll get on the phone. So
he gets on and he's like, what's going on with
the tour and they're like, uh, oh, we don't have
anything to tell you about the tour. We just want
to tell you you're going in the Country.

Speaker 3 (03:47):
Hall of Fame's.

Speaker 1 (03:51):
Country Hall of Fame too off, he's talking, well, he's
now saying that he's left in disbelief and he's emotional
and in his speech he was on in tears. I'm
sure it was very emotional, kind of like how we're
going to be this morning at seven thirty with Dan
and Shay. And this is emotional too because they've got
a new song, We're gonna give you the iHeart Country

(04:12):
World premiere of at seven thirty this morning, and we're
talking to them, Yeah, and it's all about a friend
that they lost to suicide, so I deep.

Speaker 3 (04:21):
Yeah it is.

Speaker 1 (04:22):
I'm gonna let them tell the whole story, Candace, because
we can't do it justice, No, not at all. That
is coming up at seven thirty. Also, remember this is
very important. At nine to twenty this morning, our iHeart
Country Festival. We've just added another star to it, George Burge,
making it twelve twelve stars in Austin on May the second.

(04:46):
You want to be there. You got to be here
this morning at nine twenty, Candice. You know, one thing
that I really love about you and being a part
of this team with you, is that you are as big,
if not bigger, a country music.

Speaker 6 (04:57):
Fan than I am.

Speaker 2 (04:58):
I well, I really am, you know, and I I've
always listened to w POC.

Speaker 4 (05:01):
In fact, Dan and Shay Right, it's a big day
for them.

Speaker 2 (05:06):
They have a new song that's being released and I
was backstage with them at Sunday in the Country. Really good, guys.
They're out with this new song. It's about personal loss.
It gets pretty deep.

Speaker 4 (05:17):
Guys.

Speaker 2 (05:18):
They've called in to us, talk to us about the
inspiration for this song.

Speaker 7 (05:23):
Yeah, we were sitting down having a conversation with some
friends of ours. David Hodges and Jimmy Robbins and speaking
together about a mutual friend of all of ours that
we lost.

Speaker 8 (05:30):
That's how this song happened. Such a message of hope.

Speaker 7 (05:33):
Obviously it's a very heavy topic and we had no idea,
but it was our friend's birthday, his fiftieth birthday that day,
and we found that out after we wrote the song,
So it was just one of those those moments of wow.
You know, this song was clearly supposed to be into
the world, and it just kind of happened through that,
you know. And we really hope that everybody listening to
the song, and you know, listening to us right now,
that they know that there's always somebody there they can

(05:54):
talk to. It's very lonely, you know, when you're dealing
with anxiety and these struggles, and you know, it feels
very alone, and the truth is is that you're you're
never alone. There's always somebody there you can talk to.

Speaker 8 (06:03):
And I think the first thing that you realize when.

Speaker 7 (06:05):
You start talking about these things is that a lot
of people out there are struggling, and it feels like
we're part of something a lot bigger than ourselves, and
we're blessed to be the ones to carry this message
of hope.

Speaker 8 (06:15):
If you need somebody, you know.

Speaker 7 (06:16):
Say something. Thank you for giving us to hear time
to spread a little message of hope and just grateful
for you guys. Shay.

Speaker 1 (06:23):
That's what Candice and I talk about all the time.
What can we do to help? And we should keep
an eye out on our friends, right Dan one.

Speaker 8 (06:29):
Dred percent man, I think you know, the situation that
we dealt with losing our friend Ben just kind of
made us realize, like we need to be more proactive.
Crazy stat is eighty percent of suicides are male. You know,
that's something we learn through this process of making this
music video and going at it with this song. But
I think we just need to be more proactive. Me
included like checking in our friends, like telling somebody you
love them, say how you doing? You know, asking somebody

(06:51):
out there doing because sometimes it's just that's what it
takes to get somebody to be like, you know what,
actually I'm not doing so well and having that conversation
can I know it sounds dramatic to say, but it's
so true.

Speaker 1 (06:59):
It can say life.

Speaker 3 (07:00):
Well. It's a really powerful song.

Speaker 4 (07:02):
Such a powerful song and such a powerful.

Speaker 2 (07:05):
Message, and we have much more of the interview with
Dan and Shay. You can head on over to all
of our socials and check it out and hear more
of what they have to say about this topic.

Speaker 1 (07:14):
It's really good to catch up with those guys. They've
been kind of missing in action for a couple of years.
And the video is really really powerful as well. So
if you'd like to hear all of that, like Cannis
was saying, follow us not only WPOC but Michael, Jay
and Candace in the morning.

Speaker 4 (07:31):
It's official, we need.

Speaker 1 (07:32):
Fifteen more followers to hit twenty thousand.

Speaker 4 (07:35):
Any help us out please?

Speaker 3 (07:36):
And I think we.

Speaker 1 (07:37):
Get like a blue thumb or a blue middle finger
or something.

Speaker 3 (07:40):
Now what comes up if you get check mark, you
got twenty thousand? Is it like the bird?

Speaker 4 (07:45):
Does somebody help us?

Speaker 9 (07:46):
Please?

Speaker 4 (07:47):
Are not me?

Speaker 1 (07:49):
All right? Let us know what you thought about the song?
Is this justin on the on the phone?

Speaker 4 (07:55):
Oh it is Happy birthday?

Speaker 3 (07:59):
Yeah, bird birthday.

Speaker 1 (08:02):
It was on Monday, Happy birthday.

Speaker 3 (08:05):
Too, better late than ever? Birthday?

Speaker 4 (08:10):

is done.

Kingdom of Fraud

It’s the unlikeliest of criminal partnerships: a devout polygamist from an insular Utah sect joining forces with a shadowy Armenian tycoon from LA. The result - a billion dollar fraud conspiracy. In Kingdom of Fraud, investigative reporter Michele McPhee traces the origins of the extraordinary alliance between Jacob Kingston and Levon Termendzhyan. Together, the two men trigger the largest tax investigation in American history and weave around themselves a web of dirty cops, influential political relationships and transnational money laundering. All this is set against the backdrop of Jacob Kingston’s clan – The Order. A powerful and secretive polygamist organization in Salt Lake City. To whom Jacob is desperate to prove his worth.
