of the interview we had with Thomas Rhet up on
our w POC Facebook, so you'll be able to check
that in a few minutes when you get a chance.
And here's a clip he was talking about his kids.
Because you know, Candice, you wanted.

Speaker 2 (09:46):
To ask Thomas, I'm in your land, so I I understand.
You know you recently brought your girls on stage.

Speaker 1 (09:53):
I I love them.

Speaker 2 (09:56):
But I'm guessing it's almost back to school time, right,
So are they coming to Maryland?

Speaker 3 (10:01):
No, they start tomorrow. But dude, it's been the best.
It's been the best summer. We have traveled everywhere as
a family this summer. Gotten to go out of the
country a couple of times. But I think we're all
ready for some routine, right yeah, right, Area, it's time
for you to go get your face in a book.

Speaker 1 (10:21):
Exactly, Thomas Rhett with good advice. Let's get our kids'
faces back into the books. Ella and Morgan, We're in
Baltimore at M and T Bank Stadium, and now the
whole thing made the brief. You are pop culture protein boost.
It's the brief.

Speaker 4 (10:37):
On ninety three point onepoc and.

Speaker 2 (10:40):
North Carolina man was arrested yesterday in connection with an
incident that occurred during last month's Morgan Wallen concert at
M and T Banks Stadium. The arrest of thirty three
year old Jason reid On Ford counts of second degree assault,
public urination, and other related defenses follows a viral social
media video in which a man said another fan, you're

(11:00):
on members of his family. MDTA police at officers supporting
the Baltimore Police Department at the concert responded to a
report of a fight at the stadium. When officers arrived,
security personnel had identified the people involved in an altercation.
Officers separated those individuals and escorted it. Read out of
the stadium well. During a subsequent investigation, detectives identified additional

(11:22):
witnesses who were not present during the initial Onseene investigation.
Reid is currently being held in North Carolina after deputies
with the Wilson County Sheriff's Office arrested him.

Speaker 1 (11:34):
No drunk, you'd have to be to do that. I mean, like,
no comment crazy.

Speaker 2 (11:39):
A tornado was confirmed in Baltimore County on Monday as
a result of those severe thunderstorms. The National Weather Service
reported that a water is found on the Potapsco River
turned into an EF zero tornado at the Seagert Marine
Terminal in the Port of Baltimore near Dundalk. Maryland drivers
are receiving refunds after discovering discopancies in the weight classification

(11:59):
of their.

Speaker 1 (12:00):
Vehicles on their registration. A driver was refunded eighty two.

Speaker 2 (12:03):
Dollars when her vehicle was incorrectly placed in a higher
weight class. The Maryland MBA advises drivers to verify their
vehicles shipping weight with the manufacturer to ensure accurate registration fees.
Drivers who suspect erarors in their registration weight classification can
contact the MBA for a review and potential refunds.

Speaker 1 (12:21):
That is your brief ninety three point one WPOC. There
he is Chaboozi yesterday. I think this is one of
the funniest stories all week. If you haven't seen this
video yet, you've got to look it up on our Facebook.
Shaboozie floating down the river, a bride and groom trying
to get married, and.

Speaker 4 (12:38):
There's Chabozzi in his innerche for this show.

Speaker 1 (12:40):
His legs up in the air and he's like guy,
everybody look out for him. On the NCR trail Man
Michael J's Music City Minute in sixty seconds.

Speaker 4 (12:49):
You don't know like you own music groove.

Speaker 1 (12:51):
Riley Green is apparently a Facebook fan as well, and
he's just like the three of us, Me, You, and
Canvas because some days he's got nothing better to do
than scroll on Facebook Marketplace, so he goes to Facebook
Facebook Marketplace to find a good deal. Recently, Riley Green

(13:11):
surprised one seller when he showed up in person for
a marketplace pick up. Yeah, so listen, this guy was
selling a guitar and Riley bought it. It was a
classic Gibson J forty five acoustic guitar, and Riley Green
walks into guy's house and he's like, I'm here for
the guitar. He's like, you're Riley Green because the guy

(13:35):
was a fan.

Speaker 4 (13:36):
I'm sure.

Speaker 1 (13:37):
Isn't that crazy? Wow? All right? Carly Pierce revealed during
an interview she's shopping for an engagement ring, hinting at
a potential upcoming marriage. Carly shared a personal story and
her and her boyfriend Jordan Cartcher ladies she got herself
the owner of Ground and Hounds coffee company. They're apparently

(13:58):
getting very serious. Congratulations and I hope it all works out.
Look forward to seeing another big wedding. And if you're
looking forward to Stella Lefty on the Grand Old Opry,
I got a date now. She's going to make her
Opry debut September the second, and Stella says it's truly

(14:18):
a dream to stand on the same stage as so
many of my idols. She's excited to get up there
and do it. So that is your Music City minute,
Chichael Jay and Candice in the morning. I want to
tell you something right now? Can I just share something
that's happening. Sure, I'm a little bit like sweating this
this moment. Here's what happened. I got into the Country

(14:39):
Radio Hall of Fame, and they blew me away when
they told me that I was going in. I'm like what,
I didn't believe it. I'm stammering over myself. And now
you've been surprising me with artists and every day new artists.
I just felt, how in the heck did you get
you got Blake Shelton to say something about this? Oh
my gosh, just buy it. I'm so has not heard this. No,

(15:01):
I've not heard it. I just get this note and
it says Blake on it. So what is he going
to say? Because with Blake Shelton, you never know what
he's gonna say. Okay, I'm prepared. I'm prepared myself. I'm
you guys have heard what he says. I haven't.

Speaker 4 (15:16):
Yes, I've heard it.

Speaker 1 (15:17):
Go all right, I'm excited. Here we go. This is
Blake Shelton.

Speaker 8 (15:21):
Hey there, Michael Jay. Look at you, dude, going from
being kicked out of my radio room at the Baltimore
Arena to now being inductor Country Radio Hall of Fame.

Speaker 1 (15:33):
You go, ma'am.

Speaker 4 (15:39):
Oh my god, he only speaks to the truth.

Speaker 1 (15:42):
Oh my, I got to hear that again.

Speaker 8 (15:44):
Hey there, Michael j Look at you, dude, going from
being kicked out of my radio room.

Speaker 1 (15:49):
So here's what happened. He was playing at CFG Bank Arena.
This was about five years ago. And listen, and you
know what, anyone who's a dedicated w POC listen knows.
This radio station created Blake Shelton. I'm not saying that
he's not a superstar, but we've been there with him

(16:09):
from the beginning, right when he was when he was
first coming around. He played in glen Burnie at Lafontainebleau
and he had his mullet and it was so long
and he was just it was back in the day.
I gotta find that picture. But I mean, we've been
with him since two thousand and one. Okay, tell us
what happened in the radio room. Well, in the radio
room at CFG Bankreina, I saw Blake and it was

(16:30):
a few years since we've seen each other. And he's
like Michael J. And I'm like Blake Shelton and we
man hug right, and then he's like, grab a seat,
sit down next to me. So he had these rockers
in this room and we're sitting there just talking just
about like you know, old times. And remember this or
remember that. And then this woman who works for his
record company comes over to me. She physically grabs me

(16:52):
by the shoulders and walks me out of.

Speaker 4 (16:55):
The room and throws me out, and Blake is like,
what the.

Speaker 1 (16:59):
Hell do you do? And I'm like, I didn't do anything.

Speaker 5 (17:02):
I asked her a boss about.

Speaker 1 (17:03):
This situation, and I got the whole reenaction. That was
Blake Shelton's first number one song started his career. He
followed it up with the Baby, which was his next one.
We played him, I mean out of the box because
Blake was our boy. He came here to WPOC. We
loved him. Scott Lindy, there was a program director at
the time. We're like, why don't we make Blake our guy?

(17:26):
And he's like yes, So he came in. He did
so many shows. The fact is that he just is
the to me, He's core WPOC. And to hear this
this morning, Hey there, Michael Jay.

Speaker 8 (17:39):
Look at you, dude, going from being kicked out of
my radio room at the Baltimore Arena to now being
inducted into the Country Radio Hall of Fame.

Speaker 1 (17:49):
That's it, you go, man, Thank you brother. I can't
tell you how much that means to me, Can I
just give a shout out to one other person really quick,
to Jeff Capouci our boss now because he is obviously Candice,
I didn't know about any of this. Yeah, we've been
talking about it for a month. No, but you guys
have been probably working on this for months. Yeah, an amazing.

(18:09):
But I mean to get all of these stars to
set now, I know some of them are you know,
but you know behind the scenes, these guys are busy,
Like how do you just get a hold of Blake
Shelton to do that? That blew my mind, right.

Speaker 2 (18:20):
And so just as a reminder, there are a lot
of these that are going up on all this social media,
and some of them that were not playing.

Speaker 1 (18:25):
Like yesterday, Cody Johnson was there and he was on
his set. I saw, no, he wasn't.

Speaker 4 (18:31):
He was on his stage, his stage.

Speaker 1 (18:33):
I fell off of my chair when I saw that.
I'm like, Cody, did he stop his concert to do it?
I mean, that's what that's what it looked like. And
you've got two more of your more. Let's play the
next one, all right, play the next time. I gotta
get ready for it. Congrabts Michael J on your induction
to the Country Radio Hall of Fame. It's Kane Brown,
was it really? I didn't recognize the voice for old

(18:57):
I mean, play it again. I didn't know who it was.
Hold on, wait a minute, here we go. I got
to hear that. Congrats Michael J on your attention to
the Country Radio Hall of Fame. And you know what's
cool about him? He has got the coolest tats. And
I've located a tattoo artist in Delaware who I think
is capable of doing what Cain might have even gone
to this guy. I'm sure you guys minded over that

(19:17):
he's got some cool tats. Okay, next one, all right,
you got another one. We just talked to this guy recently.
God do we just talk to Michael J. What's up? Brother?
Cole here?

Speaker 7 (19:27):
Congratulations radio Hall of Fame inductee.

Speaker 4 (19:32):
Brother, what a milestone, what a goal.

Speaker 7 (19:35):
You're totally deserving. And I just want to say thanks
for me and all the other artists. Thank you for
the support, thank you for what you do for country music.

Speaker 1 (19:42):
And congrats. You know what blows me away? And I
mean this does make me feel kind of emotional. As
you hear, you know, when Cole's speaking you can tell
he I mean, he, I don't know.

Speaker 2 (19:53):
I love it. They're all very genuine.

Speaker 1 (19:55):
Yeah, you know what I mean.

Speaker 2 (19:56):
All took their time to do this for you. So congratulations,
well deserved. Now I got to go on all the
social media accounts because I didn't look at him yet.

Speaker 1 (20:04):
But these videos that are done shout out to Haley.
I mean, they are very well done. So check them out.
So they're all going up wpoc on Facebook. All right,
the Morgan Walling concert was big. Will Garth be bigger?
I don't know, but I do know, Candace, this is
a big deal that was announced yesterday. Initially we broke

(20:26):
the news here Michael Jan Candace in the morning that
Garth Brooks has picked Washington, d C. For his fourth
stop on his tour. He's going to be playing on
September eighteenth and nineteenth at Capital One Arena. Yeah, and
the tickets go on sale next Friday, not tomorrow, but
a week from tomorrow, which I believe is the twenty

(20:48):
two I sure said ten am. Yeah, they're gonna be
going on sales. So I know a lot of people
were scrambling thinking, oh, where am I going to get
some money? You're gonna move this and that around. You
got to make your plans because at ten am a
week from tomorrow, those Garth Brooks tickets do go on
sale two nights. I'm sure they're anticipating a pretty full house.

Speaker 4 (21:07):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (21:07):
The show features both end stage and in the round seating,
all seats reserved. There are no pre sales or advanced
box office sales, so they're all going on sale at
this end.

Speaker 1 (21:18):
Garth is insisting on that, and I think I don't
remember the exact price, but it was like one hundred
and seven.

Speaker 2 (21:23):
Dollars fifty, Yeah, around one hundred and fifty. But they
said that there's an eight ticket limit per purchase, so if.

Speaker 1 (21:28):
You're going with a group, you all got to get in. Thankey,
I'm sure he wants to eliminate all this ticket pricing,
gouging and all that. He wants to put them all
out there and make him as affordable as possible. Right,
So big news if you're a Garth Brooks fan. Want
to make sure you're on top of that, in case
you missed it when it broke yesterday
