let's go, Raven We need to hear from him. That
is your brief. We got a story. Let me go
to the line. Here. We've got Sabrina on the line,
and you got who's in the car with you, Sabrina.
Speaker 2 (02:33):
I have my six year old Savannah, and my mom
and my sister Haley and her boyfriend.
Speaker 1 (02:41):
All right, so here's what's going on. Six year old Savannah.
How you doing? Michael Jancand is saying good morning to you.
How you doing, honey? So we understand the company, Savannah.
We understand you're a big fan of sharks, aren't you. Well,
(03:02):
we got a little surprise for.
Speaker 2 (03:03):
You right now, and everybody is hearing it on the
radio at the same time.
Speaker 1 (03:08):
Yeah. So Savannah, you don't know this yet, but your
family is taking you to Adventure Aquarium. You're headed to
Adventure Aquarium now and you're going to feed the sharks.
Are you so excited? Are you excited? That's an awesome
(03:28):
Summers surprise. Yeah, that's really cool. Mom and Sabrina, I'll
let you know. There's a woman who just got one
hundred and six shark tattoos. She's such a big shark fan.
So look out one day. Maybe I don't think that's
in your future today. Yeah. Hey, but listen, Savannah, you
have a great time, and watch your fingers when you're
(03:50):
feeding those sharks. All right, you have a good day.
All right, there you go sixty seconds. You don't know,
like you own music grow. Oh that's cute. I love
a little surprises like that. Hey, this wasn't a good
surprise though. Megan Maroney was three songs into her Denver
show last night when she had to cut the show
(04:13):
short because she got sick. Them iok, singer was not okay.
She broke down in tears on stage, promised to make
it good to the crowd, who cheered in support during
what was a very hard moment for Megan. She's like,
I got that. I wonder if she's got that lettuce
A bit dirty lettuce thing. I don't know what. She
got some very sick so we wish her the best.
(04:35):
Hopefully she's feeling better. The other big story Stella Lefty
Are on the Verge Star is creeping closer to number
one with her song Boston. She just revealed what inspired
the song. We know what's about her boyfriend, fellow country
singer Vincent Mason, but he's from a suburb of Atlanta.
She says she started writing the song while sitting at
(04:55):
a Boston brand piano. Then two weeks later had a
tour stop in Boston and somehow it just stuck in
her head. Boston, we had nasty weather yesterday, power outages,
more rain possible today, and I like, yeah, yeah, exactly,
So we're keeping an eye on that. You should be
weather aware as well throughout the day. July twenty ninth,
(05:19):
summer is flying, and you know, I'll find myself daydreaming
on a day off in the summertime, and for whatever reason,
something popped into my head last week. I was thinking,
you know, I remember through my life so many times
that there have been things that we've had, or my
friends parents have had in their homes, and I wondered
(05:40):
about them, like We had had a really good friend
growing up, and his mom had their living room, and
as kids, I understand she didn't want us in there
because you know, we're gonna track mud or who knows
what we're gonna do. But they had this room that
no one could go in, and they had like plastic
covers on the cow and I remember thinking that can't
(06:03):
be very comfortable. I never got to sit on it,
so I don't know what it felt like, but I
can just imagine sitting on plastic. But folks would do that.
And then I started thinking, well, do we have things
like that? And I'm like, you know, we do. We
have china, you know, like fancy dishware that we very
seldom very Yeah, you never use it in the same way,
(06:25):
and it's sitting there, like for what it makes me
very happy to look over, and I kind of smiled.
You always think we should have a fancy dinner sometime,
and then yeah, and then I.
Speaker 2 (06:36):
Have, you know, we have four children under one roof,
and you're like, wait, the realities of using china just
went out the.
Speaker 1 (06:42):
Door, or get out the good silverware, and then it's
it's all green. It's like you got to you gotta
polish it, right. Are there other things like that that
you've got around your house that you never use? Yeah?
Speaker 2 (06:53):
So I have a white rocking chair, and I just
thought it was the prettiest thing for babies, like when
I you know, when I had a baby, I would
sit there and a baby and rock the baby, right,
And it's very comfortable, and it's white, and it has
lasted almost sixteen years now, so you know it's held
up really well.
Speaker 1 (07:13):
But you don't see that any lot. Well, so we
I put a.
Speaker 2 (07:17):
Cover over top, like a pink blanket, okay, top of it.
Speaker 1 (07:20):
Right. But then I'm like, but.
Speaker 2 (07:21):
I really like the rocking chair because it was a
very pretty white But I have to see the pretty
white rocking chair.
Speaker 1 (07:26):
Because I cover it, gotcha. So things like that.
Speaker 2 (07:29):
Around the house, Or how about a sitting room like
that you don't ever go into.
Speaker 1 (07:34):
Or like a living room they used to call, I mean,
and that's why everybody's got the open concept now, right,
But back in the day, like I mean, houses that
were built in the eighties, nineties, you know, in the
nineteen hundreds, you know, very often had a living room,
but you never use it.
Speaker 2 (07:52):
Yeah, So we have the dog we never use. And
I'm like, oh, we should just make this a toy room.
And then Dan's like, okay, so the first thing you
see when you walk into house.
Speaker 1 (08:01):
Well, I'm surprised he didn't say, well, let's get a
pool table put it in there.
Speaker 2 (08:04):
No, but you know, you want to make things more functional.
Speaker 1 (08:07):
So what do you What is it at your house
that you never use? Hit us up on the text
or call the things that you never use yet you
have at your house. I remember as a kid we
had a trash compactor that when my dad had the
house built, they like, we'll put a trash compactor in there.
We never used it. No, it was like at the
end of the counter, it was like we had a
garbage can. Just put the garbage in the garbage can.
Speaker 2 (08:29):
Can. I play Devil's Advocate for a second. Yeah, it's
one thing that you wish that you had in your
house that you didn't.
Speaker 1 (08:34):
I wish it was no mortgage. I wish I wish
it was I wish I had a mortgage free house. WI.
Speaker 2 (08:40):
Yeah, I was going to say a laundry shoot carrying
the laundry of it.
Speaker 1 (08:44):
I'm like, how you solve that, Here's how you solve
that you take a closet upstairs in your house that
you got to give up a closet, and you get
a stack washer dryer and you stick it in there
and you wash wash your laundry that you do like
your wedding and all that. Do that upstairs and tell
and then you have kids and you say, kids, got
(09:05):
some piles and dirty clothes, need to go to the basement.
You two them. All right, let's talk about what Crandall said.
Speaker 2 (09:12):
A whirlpool bat up, he goes, Ain't nobody got time
to running.
Speaker 1 (09:16):
Yeah, all these houses with these big whirlpool tups, you
never fill it up? No, yeah, no, he said, But
I have one just in case. It's a good place
to throw stuff if you know, I do that. Yeah,
what he says.
Speaker 2 (09:28):
We have a new toaster oven sitting on top of
the fridge, really pretty, but it never gets used, right, Yeah,
but those things, it's like I.
Speaker 1 (09:35):
Gotta have one, you know what I'm also guilty of.
We have a curing coffee maker and our in our kitchen.
I never use it because I go to Duncan.
Speaker 2 (09:43):
Oh god, I use mine every time. I don't need
my currey anymore because I got duncan. Okay, all right,
I save a few bucks every now and I guess.
Speaker 1 (09:50):
You are pop culture protein Boost. It's the brief on
ninety three point one.
Speaker 2 (09:56):
POC storms hit Maryland last night and produced damn jing wind, gus, hail,
and heavy rainfall. More than eighteen thousand people lost power.
As of this morning, more than twelve thousand people are
still without power. BGE hopes to have power restored to
most customers by eleven o'clock tomorrow night.
Speaker 1 (10:16):
If you're affected, we want to know what's your biggest struggle.
Speaker 2 (10:18):
You can always text us seven seven nine sixty two,
but we certainly hope that you're hanging in there. The
Ravens have reached a deal to extend the lease at
their Owens Mills headquarters and training facilities to at least
twenty thirty eight, with plans to improve the complex. The
club plans to spend up to one hundred and twenty
million dollars to modernize and expand the under Armmer Performance Center.
Voldemore County will contribute twenty five million over ten years.

The Ravens will cover up to seventy million. The new
lease begins August first, twenty twenty eight and renewal options
that could extend it for an additional thirty years. County
Council is expected to vote on the agreement in September.
Speaker 1 (10:53):
You know, but what are they going to do? Pick
the castle up and move it right? It doesn't make
sist stake. We gotta stay there.
Speaker 2 (10:58):
The Washington commanders dismissed and coach Ben Steel the team
announced on Monday. He was arrested on suspicion of driving
while intoxicated on June seventh in Virginia. According to court records,
he was pulled over for a traffic infection of changing
course after a signal, facing charges refusing a breath test,
as well as obstructing or resisting an officer without force
at the time of the rest. He reportedly refused a
(11:20):
breathalyze or test at the scene, but a blood test
leaders showed that he had zero point two one four
blood alcohol content, more than two and a half times
the legal liman.
Speaker 1 (11:30):
So that is a lot. And you might ask, well,
what is the legal limit in Maryland. It's point oh
eight And to hit point oh eight you would have
to drink four or five beers over the course of
an hour or so yeah, well it is. But I mean, listen,
guys can eat. I mean especially summertime. You know, you
start slamming a couple of beers, or you know, you
(11:50):
start doing shots, or you get a Long Island iced
tea and that thing's got multiple shots in it. It
adds up quick, it does. There's no He's right, we
got uber. This time of year before we jump into
the minute, a lot of parents are getting their kids
homeroom teacher assignments.
Speaker 2 (12:07):
Oh yeah, I've been texting with moms at one in
the morning, six in the morning.
Speaker 1 (12:10):
I got one today, Like I get really excited about
like who's this is a big deal? And is it
because your kids know the homeroom teacher and they're looking
forward to it or they And this was like the
first year that I.
Speaker 2 (12:21):
Was like I don't really care, Like they're both great
teachers for my daughter's second grade homeroom, and like I
don't really care, but I still want to know.
Speaker 1 (12:28):
I can remember when I got my third grade home
home room teacher. What do you remember about your third
grade Missus Rogers? And I had a crush on Missus Rogers.
Michael Jay's Music City Minute in sixty seconds you don't
know like you own music row Listen, little boys in
third grade? Are they're aware of what's going? Hey this
missus Rogers Michael all right, so hey the Music City minute.
(12:51):
Let's focus on Megan Morony. Can you imagine poor thing?
On stage? She was into the third song and although
she's you know, known for m I okay, one of
her hits, she wasn't okay. She broke down in tears
on stage. She's I don't know exactly what the illness was.
(13:11):
I don't know whether it was you know, I don't know,
but I looked up her tours. She's still got a
way is to go. Yeah, she's got lots of shows September.
But you know there's bugs going around, and we know
because we got backstage with Megan when she was at CFG.
Speaker 2 (13:26):
It's a lot of work well, and it's a lot
to think about too, when you're meeting so many people
you know, and you're in close proximity.
Speaker 1 (13:33):
This is why a lot of artists are like, I
don't want to do these meet and greets. Yeah, you know,
because they're like at first it was like huh, and
then I was like, oh wait, this makes sense. Well anyway,
Megan Maroney told the crowd listen, I'm so so sorry,
and in tears, she said, I'm going to promise to you,
I'm going to make it up to you, but I'm
just not physically able to finish the show. So we
(13:55):
wish her the best. Nope, I hope she feels better.
