Speaker 1 (00:00):
And i'll tell you why, you know what, and for
a place, and I get it, and I understand, having
been on the outside looking in and now on the
inside looking out, the lack of respect that Seattle sports
has gotten, specifically from the national media, the Northeast biased

(00:21):
media as people have always called it. And I'm starting
to get nervous, and I'll tell you why. And it's
about a team that I should not at all be
worried about, the Seattle Seahawks. Why am I worried about this?

(00:45):
I'll tell you why on my way to work this morning.
And one of the things I don't really get into
are power rankings. It's just something that I don't really
get into. But then I started to realize that there
is a formula that is used with a lot of

(01:07):
different criteria. Everybody has different formulas. As long as it's
just not somebody I'm in my mother's basement but I
don't have a real job dot com guy, then I'll
give some validity to it. But I'm worried right now
about the Seahawks. And I'll tell you why CBS Sports

(01:33):
and NFL dot Com did their power rankings. So I'm
gonna give you the top ten in the NFL. Number
ten Bucks, number nine, Buffalo Bills, number eight, Denver Broncos,
number seven, Chiefs, number six, New England Patriots, number five,

(01:54):
Detroit Lions. Four Eagles probably should move up a little
bit after last night. Number three the Boltz, I think
they're a little overrated. Number two the La Rams. And
who's number one? The Seattle Seahawks. And he says quote,

(02:14):
I went on Seattle radio last week after debuting the
Seahawks at number one. Those folks were more than happy
to have me on to glaze the local team for
twelve to fifteen minutes, of course, but they also told
me that my rankings were met with mild surprise by listeners. Hey,
I get it. It's not as if the script has

(02:35):
been very linear this season. But following the seahawks thrashing
of the Cardinals, even with some ugly stretches, I feel
okay about elevating them into this perch. In a season
where I've spotlighted multiple teams of top the list, this
feels like stability. Sunday felt similar to the Week seven
win over the Texans, and that it was far from

(02:58):
a clean performance for four quarters. But it's hard to
get to antsy over twenty two point victory where it's
Seattle essentially spotted Arizona fourteen makeup points with turnovers. All
in all, a relatively strong defense of the top billing.
That's NFL dot Com Eric at Home. Oh, there's more.

(03:24):
CBS Sports come out with their rankings, and I'm and
I'm just right now. Pete Prisco, guy we've had on
this show, be a little tough to get a hold of. Well,
he goes number ten Chiefs, nine Broncos, eight Bills. That's

(03:45):
way overrated. Seven Lions, six Bucks, five Colts, four Eagles,
three Patriots. I like Pete Prisco's better two rams and
number one the Seattle Seahawks. Now from a place that
is long gotten shade from the national media, whether it

(04:09):
be Joe Buck and Troy Aikman, or just in general
as a whole, the Northeast media, which the Northeast bias
media as they call it.

Speaker 2 (04:20):
I don't call it that, but I get it to
a certain extent.

Speaker 1 (04:25):
Now everybody's telling the world how great the Hawks are,
and the Hawks are great, there's no question about it.

Speaker 2 (04:35):
I don't like it. I don't like it. I like
being underrated.

Speaker 1 (04:40):
I'd rather be right now where the Patriots or Broncos are.
Then everybody's saying the Seattle Seahawks are the best team
in the NFL. Now kind of tweeted this out during
the Washington Commanders game nearly two weeks ago on a
Sunday night when I was at Muckleshoot. By the way,
come on out to buckle shoot this Sunday huge watch

(05:02):
party at Galaxy.

Speaker 2 (05:05):
Come on out and join me.

Speaker 1 (05:06):
Giveaways, KJR T shirts, the Modelo Corona girls will be there,
you name it. It's gonna be off the hook lit
one o'clock on Sunday. I'll be there early. I'll help
you out with your picks, whatever you need. Player prop
wise will be ready. Didn't exactly have this weekend JSN,

(05:29):
a'man Ross, Saint Brown and Justin Jefferson all going under
But ish happens, right, ish happens.

Speaker 2 (05:39):
What are you gonna do? All right?

Speaker 1 (05:42):
I don't like everybody saying how great this team is.
Not that this team because you know, and I know
you always want to kind of be overlooked and underrated,
and not that the Hawks are overrated. I believe that
the Hawks could be the best team, but we will
certainly find out this Sunday against the Rams. This could

(06:06):
be the best game of the year. And to me,
this should have been flexed to Sunday night, but Fox
had it so fair enough. But this will be the
game of the year. And I don't know if it'll
play out that way on the field. But when everybody

(06:27):
is sitting there and giving you nothing but love and
adulation and respect, it scares me because it's only human nature.
Once you get that to sort of take your foot
off the gas pedal, become the C word, which I

(06:48):
hate to say, complacent and just sort of get this
false sense of security, like, hey, we're the best team
in the NFL right now. And I don't think under
Mike McDonald this team will get complacent, they will get comfortable.
But this game scares the hell out of me. It does.
And I'll tell you what. Right now, we'll talk to

(07:08):
it's to the great Hugh Millen coming up at eleven
Huesday Tuesday, and then we'll talk to Hall of Famer
in his own right, the great PJ. Carlssimo coming up
at noon on the life and legacy of the late
great Lenny Wilkins. We'll talk to coach Carlossimo, Seattle's finest
stayed here even after he was fired in Oklahoma City.

(07:30):
When his better half, Missus, Carlossimo said, you can go there.
They're going to fire you in less than six months,
and we're gonna stay here. And they've stayed here ever since.
Great story. So we'll talk to those guys coming up
key to the game for me on this game Sunday,

(07:51):
this has to be a defense what okay, what we
saw last night between the Eagles and Packers, And not
only was it was an unbelievable defensive struggle, it was
also well an absolute offensive disaster, mostly on the part

(08:11):
of the Packers, but certainly the Eagles weren't exactly lighting
up the scoreboard last night either. If this game is
a rock fight, the Seahawks win. If this game turns
into a replica of that Bucks game over a month ago,
Seahawks will lose. It can't turn it into a track meet.

(08:34):
It just can't. Because Matthew Stafford right now is the
odds on favorite to win the MVP. He's playing the
best football of his entire career. The numbers out there
that I gave you is just ridiculous. He's thrown for
three touchdowns and no interceptions in the last four games.

Speaker 2 (08:52):
Like it he keeps doing.

Speaker 1 (08:54):
He's thrown for twenty one touchdowns and no interceptions in
the last six games. And for the first time in
NFL history. And they have a better offense than the Seahawks.

Speaker 2 (09:06):
Do they just do?

Speaker 1 (09:07):
They got two number ones, Davonte Adams and Pooka Nakua.
Now I think the Seahawks, even though it's comparable, I'm
gonna give the Hawks the edge. On defense. Matthew Stafford
has not faced a defense like this. Sam Donald has.
It's called five days a week in practice since July,

(09:32):
since OTA's and then training camp. Sam Donald knows what
it looks like. And by the way, I'm not throwing
any shade at the Rams defense. These dudes are sick too.
Aaron Donald might not be walking through that door anymore,
but Jared Versus and Cam Kitchens from the u Is

(09:53):
and Bryden fisk Is and these dudes can get after
it and they are nasty.

Speaker 2 (10:00):
So I'm just a little worried.

Speaker 1 (10:04):
I don't like And you know when you put that,
you put that stuff out in the universe.

Speaker 2 (10:08):
Oh.

Speaker 1 (10:09):
Pete Priscott CBS Sports at the Seahawks number one of
the power rankings. Eric at Home at NFL dot com said,
the Seahawks are number one of it.

Speaker 2 (10:16):
It's like, uhh uh oh, you know what I mean.

Speaker 1 (10:19):
You put that target on your back in the bullseye.
I kind of liked it when we were flying underneath
the radar, but I get it. When you jump out
to twenty eight to nothing leads and back to back weeks,
people start to notice. And even though the Commanders and

(10:42):
the Cardinals aren't the Patriots and the Broncos, they're still
NFL teams, and you're doing that against the guys who
get paid the highest to do it. So I'm just
a little bit worried. Am I being paranoid? I mean,
tell me if I am. I don't know if I

(11:02):
am being paranoid. Let me know. I don't like it
when the world everybody's patting you on the back and
telling you how great you are. So now it's the
antithesis of the disrespect and shade that's in Seattle sports
usually gets for ever in decades and decades. Now it's like,

(11:23):
oh no, you're the best, You're number one, And it
scares me a little bit. It's all I'm saying, and
it's nothing to do with anything that's happened here with
Mike McDonald and Aiden Dirtey and Clint Kobiac and the
O line coach John Benton. Has nothing to do with
anything here. I'm just nervous because now the whole world

(11:46):
is saying they're the best team in the NFL. And
by the way, it's not just Cbssports and NFL dot Com,
it's all over all the talking heads, PTI, first, take,
you name it. They're all saying thet are the best
team in the NFL. I believe they are. I just
don't like when the national media says it because then
it sets you up to fail. And then it's like

(12:09):
if they don't come through on Sunday, people like, uh yeah,
same old Sos, same old Seattle, same old Seahawks.

Speaker 2 (12:18):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (12:18):
No, they didn't beat anybody. The best team they beat
was Houston, who's not that good. They didn't beat anybody.
They were just you know, yeah, So there's a lot
of things. Maybe I'm paranoid, Maybe I am so. I
am on a Today is the day I just decided
I have to do this.

Speaker 2 (12:38):
Today.

Speaker 1 (12:40):
I didn't eat quite healthy yesterday, and I'm punishing myself
as a like sort of a self masochistic point.

Speaker 2 (12:48):
Today.

Speaker 1 (12:48):
I'm fasting all day today until tomorrow. So I'm gonna
be fasting, not for twenty four hours, for thirty six hours,
because the last thing I ate was last night and
I'm not gonna try to eat anything until tomorrow morning.
So if any of you fast out there, let me know.
I've done this. I've done this for three days at
the long I think I did it close to five ones.

(13:10):
But I'm in a fast right now, and I'm you know,
and maybe it's kind of messing with my mind a
little bit.

Speaker 2 (13:15):
I'm a little I'm a little nervous right now.

Speaker 1 (13:17):
I just don't like the world telling everybody how great
they are. And I don't get it, man, I don't
get it. That's that's the one thing that I don't get. Marcus.
I feel your pain that jsn Under lost my eighty
two hundred dollars ticket. I was so excited after that

(13:37):
forty forty three yard reception. I know, I know, HM,
way to take a page out of the PNW resident playbook.
Don't give us all the credit ever, don't let outsiders
know how good it is here, whether overall temperature. First
rule of living in Seattle, never brag about the good

(13:58):
I'll tell you this right now. That's the number one
thing I've learned here since being here. And people are like, oh, man,
how do you deal with the weather. I'm like, are
you fing kidding me? I've got I've gotten New England
fall football weather since mid April. Aside from a couple
weeks here and there where it was humid in July

(14:20):
and August and maybe maybe a little bit in September,
the weather here has been like the greatest stretch of
weather I've ever been anywhere in my entire life. And
I've lived in New England, Miami, Tampa, Saint Pete, Charlotte, Atlanta, Arkansas.
It's the best weather I've ever dealt with. Yes, don't

(14:41):
let anybody know how good it is here.

Speaker 2 (14:43):
I waited. I will not do that. Yeah.

Speaker 1 (14:47):
McVeigh worries me. He's gonna get Donald Donald seeing ghosts
and I'll all be over. That's from the text line.
Time for Hawks to put Matthew Stafford into Shady Grove
retirement home.

Speaker 2 (14:59):
Well, not anytime soon. Man.

Speaker 1 (15:04):
When you jump out to twenty eight to thirty one
points in the first half and come out and take
us sh in the second half and only score three
to seven points. It's pretty pathetic. It's more comfortable to
be the hunter versus the hunt in I agree with
that one wholeheartedly, whole hardly concur with you on that.
Where will you be on Sunday? Muckle Shoe Casino, Galaxy

(15:27):
this Sunday Seattle away game, Rumble watch party. The fine
folks out there, Trevor, he's the Ace, Sam Rosstein of
Muckleshoe Casino, He's the head of operations. He's a big deal. Raymond, Victoria, Maria, everybody,
kayla uh, come on out and join us. It'll be

(15:48):
fun this Sunday prizes will be giveaway. We'll get into it.
It's just it's fun. It's fun. When you wonder about
my pregnant pauses. Maybe there's a thing where I'm talking
to my producer, Christopher Kidd, and so when I'm talking
to him and we're not a music station, then you're
gonna hear some pregnant pauses. So that's why I'm sorry

(16:10):
for your inconvenience there. I you know, that's what happens.
Kid and I where we were just talking about one
thing in particular.

Speaker 2 (16:18):
Can you say overrated?

Speaker 1 (16:20):
I don't think the Hawks are overrated, but I'm nervous
now because everybody is giving them that.

Speaker 2 (16:30):
You know, you guys are the best, man, You're the
best team in the NFL.

Speaker 1 (16:35):
It's one thing if I say it, or soft he
says it, or Dick or Ian Chuck or Buck. But
when the national media starts going there, then I'm like,
oohly they I don't like this at all. I don't
like this at all. Not a fan, not a fan,
And it sets you up for failure. And this game

(16:57):
is going to be epic on Sunday. It's going to
be a packed out. So Galaxy Hell was a packed
house nearly two weeks ago for the Commanders game on
a Sunday night. And this is gonna be a one
oh five start, So come on out to muckleshoot on Sunday.
So that scares me just a little bit, just a
little bit. Does this tear you? And yeah, I'm I'm

(17:22):
right now. I'm very worried, very very worried. And everybody
right now is telling everybody how great they are. Everybody,
Oh yeah, best team in the NFL. He did this
to that. I will say one thing, even though I
don't want and some people on the text line yesterday
were throwing shade at this team, saying they haven't beaten

(17:43):
anybody good, really good, I mean Houston.

Speaker 2 (17:46):
Eh, They're all right, they're nothing great.

Speaker 1 (17:50):
I can understand it, but it doesn't take away how
great this team is.

Speaker 2 (17:55):
They have it.

Speaker 1 (17:55):
They lost to the Bucks, who are a playoff team.
They lost to the forty nine ers. We're a borderline
playoff team now, and yeah, best win Houston Jacksonville. Sure, okay, fine,
but guess what. You can only play the teams on
your schedule. They lost to the two best teams they
played so far. So we'll find out on Sunday. If

(18:17):
things don't go well on Sunday, then I'm worried. Then
I start to worry even more. If this team gets
molly wopped, if they get curb stomped, then I worry.
I don't think it's gonna happen, because I'm telling you,
Matthew Stafford, you haven't seen a defense like this in

(18:38):
a long time, sweetheart, And we're coming for you. We're
coming for you. I'll tell you right now. And then
maybe your wife Kelly can go on Call her Daddy
podcast and tell the world how she was hooking up
with other, you know, quarterbacks to make you jealous while
you're at UGA. I didn't think that was a real
good look. But maybe we'll give Kelly Stafford something to

(19:01):
really be miserable about after Sunday. And for everybody, and
if any of and if y'all are going down there
to LA on Sunday, pack the issh out of that place,
man and turn it into Lomanfield South. Everybody else does.
Did you see what happened Sunday night? Steelers Chargers. Steelers lost,

(19:22):
but it was ninety percent Steelers fans. They even said
it on the broadcast. Let it be that I want.
They don't take it over as much for Rams because
the Rams actually won a Super Bowl four years ago.

Speaker 2 (19:33):
But let's do this on Sunday.

Speaker 1 (19:34):
Let's let's let's do this Sofi, the Seattle Sofi takeover LFG.
Let's go in front of all these plastic, superficial, pretentious
can't even sell out National League Championship Series games. Yeah,
there's nothing faker than an LA sports fan. Nothing faker, well,

(19:55):
other than the gold Diggers in their plastic surgery in
La as well.

Speaker 2 (20:00):
That's actually faker.

Speaker 1 (20:01):
Oh and then the people are in the Hollywood entertainment business,
that's actually faker. But you get what I mean. When
I think of fake, superficial, plastic, pretentious, the first place
that comes to mind is LA. So let's do the
the Seattle Sofi takeover on Sunday, all right, coming up
at eleven, Hugh Millen, PJ. Carlossimo coming up at noon,

(20:27):
and man more love towards the Seahawks and the thing
that this team needs to do to avoid having a
let down on Sunday. We'll get to that next Mjy
and the midday Christopher Kid Sports Radio ninety three to
three kJ are at them, which is, uh, that's going

(20:48):
to be a busy, busy, busy week. It's always one
of the greatest weeks of the year in sports. Actually, oh,
that's a big go. That's the biggest night that everybody
goes out. Who that's Wednesday night, the twenty sixth. They said,
that's the night before Thanksgiving, is the biggest social gathering

(21:09):
night of the year, So that'd be kind of cool.
Head on over to CPA see the Kraken Beat the
stars and you know, and celebrate and get ready for
the next day.

Speaker 2 (21:21):
By the way, I shouldn't.

Speaker 1 (21:24):
Solicit this on the air, but if anybody out there
see this is a Southern thing and I never had
it until my friend made it for me in Tampa.
But is anybody out here for Thanksgiving? Does anybody make
deep fried turkey? Do you know what that is? Does

(21:45):
anybody here know what that is? Because it's you ever
had a kid, That's a good question.

Speaker 2 (21:52):
I don't know. If you had it, you would know,
you would know because they got what they gotta do with. Dude.

Speaker 1 (21:57):
They put this thing on the outside. It's that of oil.
And you can't put it too close to the house
because if it, you know, boom, then it's it's you know,
you know, everything's on fire, and then you're calling the
fire department.

Speaker 2 (22:12):
You gotta put a little bit away from the house.

Speaker 1 (22:15):
And it is like, once you've had deep fried turkey,
I can't eat anything but that.

Speaker 2 (22:25):
I just can't.

Speaker 1 (22:26):
I can't eat anything but deep fried turkey. Now it's
like it was the greatest thing I ever ate for Thanksgiving,
and now it's spoiled every Thanksgiving since then thereafter, because
now if I don't have deep fried turkey. It's not
so if you have deep fried turkey, you would like to,

(22:48):
you know, talk sports and enjoy the Lions Packers game
on on that Thanksgiving Day. I might, you know, I
might consider stopping buy all MJ, coming buy the crib.

Speaker 2 (22:59):
If you're doing in deep fried turkey, I might consider.

Speaker 1 (23:03):
Yeah, doing a non paid appearance at your crib.

Speaker 2 (23:09):
FU can help you out with your uh, your your
picks that week.

Speaker 1 (23:14):
We could go through player props, we could talk about
whatever you want, but.

Speaker 2 (23:19):
That payoff better be that deep fried turkey.

Speaker 1 (23:21):
Man, I just don't know if that's a thing that
is big out here, but it's big down South.

Speaker 2 (23:28):
Man.

Speaker 1 (23:28):
I'm sure somebody probably in Eastern Washington deep fried turkey
is a big deal. I don't know about Western Washington
if it is. But if it is, man, boy, oh boy,
oh boy, I do a pro bono. Uh oh, yes,
we've heard deep fried turkey. We've had telephones for a
few years. Starbucks open a coffee shop or two a

(23:51):
few years here back, and we even got a costco
now I know. But I'm just wondering if they do it,
if they do it like up here, if that's a
big thing. We have a deep frier so you can
cook a turkey so you don't have to put it outside.
There's a thing called technology. Look into it. Deep Fried
turkeys are the best. Hey, I don't care if you

(24:12):
put it inside outside, I don't care if you put
it in the master fing bedroom.

Speaker 2 (24:18):
I want deep fried turkey.

Speaker 1 (24:20):
Smoke turkey is just as good as deep friede no, no,
leak courso not so fast, my friend, not so for no,
no no.

Speaker 2 (24:27):
No no no. MJ.

Speaker 1 (24:29):
Yard House has a fried turkey dinner on the menu
on eleven twenty seven.

Speaker 2 (24:35):
Where's yard House? Let me check it out? But where's this.

Speaker 1 (24:39):
Yard house here? Where is this yard House? I need
to find out, m kid, you know where yard house is?

Speaker 2 (24:49):
This is news to me. I'm googling too.

Speaker 1 (24:51):
Yeah, yeah, where's this yard House place? And oh yeah,
fifteen oh one fourth Avenue, Seattle.

Speaker 2 (24:59):
H They got a few of them.

Speaker 1 (25:02):
Oh no no, no no no no, no no no no.
They don't do deep fry. I don't believe that. Not.
But no, I know yard House is a national chain restaurant. No no, no,
no no no no no no no. This has to
be done by somebody in their backyard or in their
house whatever. And by the way, the guy who wanted

(25:23):
technology me, you know there's a thing called technology there. Okay,
the deep friar is not like the air fryer is
not deep fried turkey.

Speaker 2 (25:36):
I'm letting you know that it's not the same.

Speaker 1 (25:40):
You have to get a vat of peanut oil and
you got to put it in there for hours and
hours and hours. It is a long, arduous process. So
there it is. I deep fried turkey. Man man oh.
I also want to say Happy Veterans Day for everybody

(26:02):
out there. My late grandfather, the guy that I told
you about who died a couple months ago, pepe Leon Provo,
served in the Korean War. I want to also our
own a guy who's been part of the station, Greg Bell,
fought for this country. So thank you to Greg Bell
and everybody everybody out there who fought for this country.
And we appreciate you. I appreciate you. I want you

(26:24):
to know that you're not gonna believe I will say this.
I don't knock. You can say what you want and
say what you will about Pat McAfee. I've got nothing
but like this guy about five minutes ago, You're never
gonna believe who he had on live.

Speaker 2 (26:45):
He had the current.

Speaker 1 (26:48):
Sitting President of the United States live on his show Live.
Pat McAfee got Lebron James to come in to do
a in studio apear Ran slast year. Lebron doesn't do
sports radio ever. Ever, I got to hand it to McAfee,
love him or hate him. His guests as well. He

(27:10):
Pat McAfee, that.

Speaker 2 (27:12):
Dude is him. He is. I mean, you get Lebron,
you get I.

Speaker 1 (27:19):
Mean Aaron Rodgers. It was like, oh, you can get
Aaron Rodgers on every week. Yeah, yeah, that's nothing. He
got Lebron. He's got the pre I mean like, wow, wow,
Pat McAfee, we are living in your world. It's your world,
and we are all just paying rent right now. That
is unbelievable. Hey, don't forget. The Seattle International Auto Show
is presented by b ecu is back November fourteen through

(27:39):

Speaker 2 (27:42):
See them, touch them, drive them.

Speaker 1 (27:44):
Blomenfield Events Center the Seattle International Auto Show Discover your Drive.
For tickets, go to Seattle autoshow dot com. That's Seattle

who's an American treasure and everything that he comes out

(28:07):
of his mouth is like TV gold and what he
had to say. We will get to that next on
Hitting to All Fields. Yes, he is part of the
greatest studio show, sports studio show, and television history. You
know the show I'm talking about. His colleagues are Ernie

(28:29):
Kenny in Shack. We'll get to Sir Charles coming up next,
Hugh Millin at eleven right here, mj in the Midday
on a Tuesday.

Speaker 2 (28:39):
Blame as Lebron Michael Jordan to be which is lame.

Speaker 3 (28:43):
I'm said, for years, the only people talk about Lebron
and Michael. You want to know the difference between Mike
and Lebron is simple competitiveness, that killer instinct. Lebron don't
have it. And that's why a lot of people say
Kobe was the closest thing to Michael because of that fire,
that obsession to win no matter what. I remember one

(29:04):
year I won MVP. Next time I faced Mike Man,
he took it personal. He came out and just destroyed me.
I couldn't breathe out there. It was suffocating back in
those days. All the stars had pride, we all had tempers,
but Michael he was on another level. He didn't just
want to beat you. He wanted to break you. And

(29:24):
I'll be honest, he broke me that night. He made
me respect him forever. Lebron ain't built like that. When
he can't beat you, he switches teams. He looks for
a teammate who can do the job for him instead
of figuring out how to dominate you himself.

Speaker 2 (29:38):
That's the difference, Charles. You need to go to therapy
and express how you truly feel. Charles.

Speaker 1 (29:49):
I don't think you're really good about conveying how you
truly feel. I think you're holding back on us. Chuck
ah wow. So there's a lot to unpacked there. Number one,
he's right about the beginning. I don't even talk about
it anymore. There is no debate, there is there's no
Michael Jordan is in a it is an all time

(30:09):
category by himself. And I also gonna agree I I
and there's a lot of people are saying that, and
I'm talking about people in LA that this sciatica thing
is complete bs. Lebron right now is pissed off because
the Lakers didn't offer him a long term extension. So
he's basically just stealing a check right now. He could play,

(30:32):
He could play. He's seeing how the Lakers are doing.
He could play, but he's not doing it.

Speaker 2 (30:36):
I don't know.

Speaker 1 (30:36):
I'm not gonna, you know, it is what it is.
I'm not gonna, you know, the guy has been playing
for twenty two, twenty three years. I don't know. It
is a little sketch. It's a little suspect, but a lot.
And I'm talking about people in LA and people who
cover the Lakers and people who love lifetime Lakers fans,
Lifetime you know, they're saying that this whole thing and

(30:58):
he's just like gonna gonna play this thing out as
long as he can. But the thing that Barkley said
about Michael and you if you watch the Last Dance,
it's a ten part documentary about the Bulls, and I
remember in that Michael would talk about in ninety seven,

(31:23):
they gave Carl Malone the MVP, I'm then pay for it,
And that's what Charles is saying.

Speaker 2 (31:29):
Charles won the MVP. I think in ninety three they.

Speaker 1 (31:32):
Went to the finals and they lost to Michael Jordan
and the Bulls that was Michael's first three p in
ninety three, and basically Michael took exception to that. They
gave Carl Malone the MVP in ninety seven and Michael
made him pay.

Speaker 2 (31:53):
And how about Charles to come out?

Speaker 1 (31:56):
For those of you that it didn't get to see
Charles Barkley play because you know you're too young and
you only know Chuck from what you've seen on inside
the NBA, I get it.

Speaker 2 (32:05):
I understand there. You know, we got a long a
lot of young people.

Speaker 1 (32:08):
Charles Barkley is arguably the greatest rebounder under six' five
IN nba. HISTORY i don't think anybody got more out
of his physical stature Than Charles barkley. Did he was
an unfreaking believable. Player and for him to come out

(32:29):
and Said michael broke, me he broke. ME i, mean
and we're Talking charles in his. Prime he was still
amazing even after ninety three and ninety four and ninety,
five and.

Speaker 2 (32:44):
He was still.

Speaker 1 (32:45):
Great then the sons were great to Say michael broke,
Me that to me is the ultimate show of respect
and admiration From, Michael like he broke you really in
the prime of your.

Speaker 2 (33:02):
Career that is.

Speaker 1 (33:04):
Crazy oh my, god that is unfreaking. BELIEVABLE i, mean
most athletes won't come out and say, that even if
they know it's. True but, then you know, what speaking Of,
Charles shaq said. It shaq, said there's only one person
THAT i ever got on a court with AND i felt.

(33:26):
Intimidated he, said WHEN i came out OF lsu and
the first time The magic we were facing The bulls
and we were coming out of the huddle to start
the game AND i saw twenty three in. Red he,
GOES i would he. Goes it intimidated. Me he intimidated.
Me we're talking about two of the most the greatest

(33:51):
players IN nba, history maybe the guy who was the
most dominant player IN nba history in his, Prime shaquille.
O'Neil he said That michael intimidated, him And shaq Shaqson michael,
intimidated And charles is saying he broke. Me that to,
me is that that they're saying that. Today they're saying that. Today, so,

(34:15):
uh that's crazy because those guys don't have to admit
that on public, record and they, do and they do it.
Unsolicited they do. IT i, mean that's that tells you
the the level of. Disrespect we'll talk TO.

Speaker 2 (34:30):
Pj.

Speaker 1 (34:30):
Carlssimo obviously we're gonna talk to him coming up at

him with Coach. Wilkins what was the relationship like With
Coach wilkins on that staff With michael And charles And
patrick And larry And magic And David robinson And ewing

(34:53):

about his future On. Montlake we'll get to that and
