Speaker 1 (00:00):
He gave a comment.
Speaker 2 (00:01):
Hum millan former Washington Huskies quarterback, played for the late
great Don James University of Miami alum. I might add, Humillin,
what did you think about Jedfish's press conference yesterday? And
did anything that he said convince you that he's going
to stay?
Speaker 1 (00:20):
No, I don't. I don't think I didn't glean anything
out of that, because essentially, if you had to condense
what he said, you'd say, the list of the people
would make those lists have no idea. What Okay, that
doesn't really tell me much. I I'm excited to be
at Washington. Oh, that doesn't tell me much. He gave
a long list of reasons. He did mention that it's
(00:43):
ridiculous that that because his daughter is at Arizona in
high school, that that would impact his decision. Well, he
didn't address, you know, whether or not the other part
family rumor, which is whether or not his wife like
as opposed to maybe some other places. She being from
a suburb outside of Dallas. You know, the weather's different,
(01:05):
the politics are different, YadA YadA. So so I don't
think he ever, he said, he didn't say anything yesterday
at all. And and and to to bring that point home.
I want you to imagine mark that you have. You
have a little magic sports genie. Okay, it's usually in
a little on genie bottle. But but from to help
(01:25):
me out with gambling, go to the gambling first. Don't
get three any questions. Don't waste any questions. What I'm
about to say? I want three Wait here my three wishes. Ready,
there's why I'm gonna give you my three wishes. I want.
Speaker 2 (01:41):
I want to hit ninety percent on my games legally,
legally without being indicted by.
Speaker 1 (01:47):
The FBI in the future. Why not? Why not? There
you go, Well, that one hundred might be too obvious. Yeah, okay,
they might kick you out of the casino.
Speaker 2 (01:53):
I want I want former Miss Bumbum Mexico, Susie Cortes
to be the my the you know, you're you're.
Speaker 1 (02:00):
You're gonna come to blows about that one. Okay, not
for her, but about her. Oh isn't she you know
you're happily married, dude, No, I am, that is that
is absolutely true. But if I wasn't that that that
she'd be way down on my list.
Speaker 2 (02:13):
Oh oh oh right, well, hey, to each his own,
to each his own and the Miami Hurricanes to to
win the national championship almost every year in college football.
So those are my wishes, all right, tell me about
the sports genie thing, and and I was just gonna
I'm gonna say one thing though, have you, and I
I'm rhetorically have you, and I know you have, have
(02:34):
you ever been a Tucson.
Speaker 1 (02:37):
Yeah, of course, yeah, yeah, many times Tucson isn't is
a hole? You ever been there? It's horrible.
Speaker 2 (02:45):
Many times it's it's it's why would I don't know
why anybody would want to live in now Tempe, Phoenix, Scottsdale.
Well that's a different story. We're talking. That's a whole
nother level. But touson ts I went there one time.
I wanted to go and I drove out because I
wanted to see the McHale Center, this arena, and I
was in.
Speaker 1 (03:06):
I was there.
Speaker 2 (03:07):
I went to the national champion of the night before
Miami Ohio State drove out there, and I'm like, I
couldn't wait to get back to Phoenix.
Speaker 1 (03:12):
Anyway, your sports genie, take go for it. So this
is a thought experiment. And so the genie comes out
and he whispers in the ear and he says this,
I know because I have these kind of powers, that
Jetfish has no desire to leave Washington whatsoever, Not for Florida,
not for the Dallas Cowboys, nobody. Okay, so now you
(03:36):
know that. Now play the press conference yesterday and tell
me where he lies. Well, of course he doesn't lie.
You'd say everything that he just said is consistent with
what my genie just told me. Okay, Now I want
you to imagine the genie. He pops out, he comes in,
he whispers into year and he says, Jetfish is pretty
(03:57):
happy at Washington. But if he if he gets offered
to Florida job, he'll leave. If he gets offered the
UCLA JOBB, he'll leave. If if Laane Kiffin goes to Florida,
h he'll take the old miss job. Uh. You know,
if somebody fills the role to uh to to LSU
you know, Texas A and M whatever, he'll get. Like
there's like at least ten schools that he'll go to.
(04:18):
The genie just whispered that in your ear. Got me.
Now watch the press conference from yesterday and tell me
where's the lie. There's no lie, because he says, people
have no idea what's going on. That's true. I'm he's excited,
the youth, all the things, the money he put in,
(04:39):
how he you know, got a nutrition bar. All those
things are true. And you know the idea that that
his his daughter in high school at Arizona would have
anything to do it, that's true too. So now he
didn't tell any lie. But you already know the genie
told you that he's yeah, he's kind of he's pretty
happy at Washington, but he's his head is on a swivel.
He's looking and he's just waiting for that next opportunity. Okay,
(05:02):
So so it it there. There's nothing that he said. Now,
you and to further underscore that point, I'm gonna give
it you a quote. You you you paid Pin the
coach on the quote, okay ready, quote I have no
interest in going in anywhere on a uh uh in
the same interview, we want to be part of this
(05:23):
program for a long time. I couldn't do that to
my wife. She has made twelve's moves with me. Pin
Pin the the the coach on the quote, Okay, yeah
said that, Kaylen Dear. That's Jedfish in Tucson as the
(05:45):
Arizona coach. Oh, now you want to hear you want
to hear something. Now I'm gonna say this with an asterisk.
I'm gonna say I'm gonna quote Dan Lanning. Okay. He said, Uh,
if you're quote, if you're scared your coach is leaving,
then come to play for us. The Ducks aren't going anywhere.
(06:06):
I'm not leaving. Okay, Then asks Unrich Eisen. He says,
what is the interest level in other jobs? One word?
Answer zero? Then said, yeah, I'm not leaving Oregon. Now. Clearly,
if let's just think for an attorney for a second,
the difference between what Landing said at Oregon and what
(06:30):
Fish said. First of all, in layers of of of impact,
Fish's comments yesterday in this set that I'm about to
list are the lowest, okay. The next highest is Fish's
comments at Arizona, and the next highest is Dan Lannings
in terms of impact in terms of stating on where
(06:54):
they want to be. Let me repeat that again. Fish's
comments yesterday is the lowest. Fish is comments at Arizona
in the middle, and Dan Lanning's are the strongest. Agreed, Yes,
of course you agreed, okay, And even at that if
Lanning were to take the LSU job or whatever. You know,
he that's just the way coaches talk. So Lanning had
(07:15):
the strongest comments that a coach can make. I'm not leaving.
If your coaches, if you're scared your coaches leaving, then
come play for us, because I'm not leaving. Like, how
can you be stronger? Much stronger when Fish is ever
said at Washington or Oregon, and yet Landing still could could?
Uh Nick Saban, you know, Nick Dame. Like if Lanning
(07:35):
wants the LSU job and LSU is willing to pay,
he's gone. And that's just the way it is. So
people who are somehow deriving some comfort. Look, if Jetfish
truly like the genie number one, If Jetfish's mindset is
that I want to say at Washington, his comments yesterday
are exactly consistent with that, and and in which case
(07:58):
that's kind of unfortunate for Jed other than the fact
that you know, he's got a lot of stickers on
the on the back of his passport, got a lot
of stickers on a suitcase. He's moved around a lot,
so he's that history is going to invite these questions
and these topics Okay, but what he said yesterday is
very consistent with the guy who wants to stay at
Washington and and which case that that it would be
(08:18):
kind of sad that he has to go through. Not sad,
it would be it would be predictable and and be
inconvenient for having to have it to do this. But
it's also consistent with the idea. Yeah, I like Washington
everything he said, I'm excited. Yeah, we got young guys,
all that stuff. But here's a list of five schools
that if they come calling and they they can match
or exceed my contract at Washington, I'm out here, and
(08:40):
some of them may be for family reasons. Okay, So
so I don't I don't know. I don't, I don't.
I don't really get uh. Have the attorney's way in
how about this? What's the text line trial attorneys? And
can we walk through the logic? Because I know that
a good trial attorneys when when he's sitting there listening,
(09:01):
he's he's listening to what is exactly that witness saying?
And is he binding himself into anything? Jedfish didn't bind
himself into anything. He didn't even bind himself to the
level that he had when he was on the Jim
Rohan Show and the and the Richild Show when he
was at Arizona. Excuse me, not not rich Ilon. That
was that was landing the Jim Room Show when he
(09:21):
was at Arizona. So I was just on a Jim
Rome show last week too. Look, there's not much he
can do. The fact is we don't have that genie.
We don't know what is in his head. We don't.
We can we can make inferences. How about this, if
you're really, if you're certain that Jetfish is not going
let me let me ask you this. If the University
of Florida offers him twillion dollars, do you think he's
(09:43):
saying no, you know, absolutely not.
Speaker 3 (09:46):
No.
Speaker 1 (09:46):
Schottenheimer's won and done in Dallas, and and Jerry Jones
offers him twelve million to go be the coach of
the Cowboys. Do you think he's not gonna go? Like, So,
let's just work backwards from that. So if we can
all because if we can agree that there is some
job that Jedfish will take this year, I'm talking about
after year or two this year, If we can agree
(10:07):
that there's some job that he would and it's actually
plural there are some jobs that he would take. If
we can agree on that, then we're just with Then
it's just a question is how big is the set
of jobs that he would take.
Speaker 2 (10:21):
I look at this right now where I think this
became a major thing. And I think he did this yesterday,
probably at the behest of Pat Chun and the administration,
because he came out and they asked him about jobs.
Speaker 1 (10:34):
He goes, no comment.
Speaker 2 (10:36):
Well, no comment just means that no comment exactly what
that means. Doesn't mean you're staying. It doesn't mean you're going.
It just kind of means that. And by the way,
I'll even throw you one further. I covered Nick Saban
his two years as the head coach of the Miami Dolphins.
He explicitly said, over and over and over again, I
am not going to Alabama.
Speaker 1 (10:56):
I Am not going to Alabama.
Speaker 2 (10:59):
And then they showed a few days later he was
landing right there at Tuscaloosa International and.
Speaker 1 (11:06):
Look, and I look some of the smartest guys that
you mentioned, Nick Saban. I happened to think Nick Saban
is the greatest coach that ever lived, much more so
than Belichick. You know, in part because Saban won seven
national titles with six quarterbacks. You know, Belichick won six
titles with one quarterback, and when he didn't have that
(11:27):
one quarterback, whether it's at the Browns or pre Brady
or post Brady, anyways, that's not the point. The point
is that the very best and brightest have not been
able to navigate this land mine without stepping on on
bombs or at least stepping on rakes. Right as I'm
mixing metaphors. But the point is is that there has
(11:50):
never been a comment out of Jedfish's mouth that as
the Washington coach, including yesterday's, there has never been a
comment that has been as strong as the comments he
made when he was at Arizona. Now I understand so
well the things went wobbly with the contract and what have.
You can always, you know, be an apologist, but you
(12:12):
know clearly it's not as strong as Dan Lanning's comments. Hugh,
you're not one. You'd be nonsensical to say that his
denial is to the level of Dan Lanny. It's not close,
not even close. Hugh.
Speaker 2 (12:23):
You're someone who doesn't get into predicting the future. You
don't like to make predictions on games, and I respect
you for that. Obviously, it's something I host the show
at least turning every Friday night call Picking the Locks
Friday night at seven o'clock. I will tell you right now,
from a sports handicapper standpoint and someone who's been handicapping
sports for thirty six plus years, you ask, it's a
(12:44):
simple question. Ask me, do you think that Jedfish will
still be the head coach of the University Washington on
January fifteen, twenty twenty six.
Speaker 1 (12:54):
Ask me that question, do you think the Jetfish will
be the head coach at Washington? And what'd you say? January? No,
don't laugh.
Speaker 2 (13:02):
Just just do it like we're in a trial where
we're happy, right, No, no laughing, no season, No, let's
do it again.
Speaker 1 (13:10):
Do you think?
Speaker 2 (13:11):
Just ask me the question, do you think that Jedfish
will still be the head coach of the University Washington
football Huskies on January fifteenth, twenty twenty six?
Speaker 1 (13:19):
Ask me that question, do you think that Jedfish will
still be the head football coach of the Washington Huskies
on January fifteenth, twenty twenty six? No, I don't. I
just don't.
Speaker 2 (13:31):
I think he's gone, that's my opinion. I don't I
I to me, I think ultimately how I glean like, again,
this is not me. I'm not having any inside sources.
I'm not Adam Schefterringer, Ian Rappaport this stuff. I think
ultimately Jedfish's end game is to be a head coach
in the NFL. Now, if you know, whatever his wife
(13:54):
likes or whatever, I don't know, happy wife, happy life.
Speaker 1 (13:57):
You know that you're happily married Jedfish too.
Speaker 2 (14:00):
And if she don't want to be in Seattle, then
I can't imagine she's going to be too enthralled to
come here after her daughter grab. I mean, she's already
been there now in Tucson for two straight years, and
I would think, like you said, she's from Dallas. They
have a nice quality of life. And I to me,
I just have a premonition. I do not think he
(14:21):
and I if I put this poll out there, you know,
on Kate, you know, and get it out there on
kJ or Twitter, do you think Jed Fish will still
be the coach of the Washington Huskies in twenty twenty six,
I would guarantee. I won't guarantee, but I would predict
seventy plus percent people that would vote on that pole,
would say no, yeah, I have my opinion.
Speaker 1 (14:44):
I then, well, you know, I'm an analyst, a former
you know, player, and so what is your gun instinctability? Yeah,
what is your gun Instee. If I'm just with my
frat buddies and at the Fiji hous of Washington and
we're just sitting around and somebody said, you know, all right,
(15:05):
we're all in this on a one dollar bet, you know,
I would say, no, all right, that's it. That's it.
So you got it. Yeah, that's all that I hope, hope.
That would mean fifty percent plus a feather, you got me? Yeah,
that that just means that it's more probable than not.
But uh uh, you know, well we'll see. But I
(15:29):
would just say this, I think Jedfish did an admirable
job yesterday of doing the best he could to squelch things.
He brought up things in a way that seemed like
it was leading to a conclusion, which it really didn't.
So we didn't really get much, you know. But basically,
the idea is that I'm I'm really excited about Washington
(15:51):
doesn't really answer the question. Yeah, yeah, you know, yeah,
the question is, yeah, you're excited about Washington. But how
many schools if they came to you and offered more
money he's making seven million, How many schools would you
leave for based on professional and personal reasons? How many
schools would you leave for for more than seven million?
(16:14):
That's in essence, let me just let me just tell me.
And I don't I don't blame I don't blame the
media for not asking him that question because because I
know he wouldn't answer that question, and so so. But
but I'm the folly in my mind is is if
anybody thinks they gleaned anything from yesterday. And by the way,
it was good timing yesterday. Now he was right, he
(16:36):
was apt to address it because of the Newsweek article.
So I'm saying the timing he didn't pull the You know,
this wasn't like a Friday news dump where you raise
your eyebrows about the timing. But it was fortunate that
we got to stop talking about the Wisconsin game and
then talk about Jetfish's loyalty. Right, so, and again, Jetfish
(16:56):
did everything he should have yesterday. But coaches are in
a mind, and he didn't rise to the level of
Arizona of his Arizona comments, and he didn't rise to
the level of the Landing comments. Of those three, he
had the least impact and strength to his comments yesterday. Well,
I will say this, I could not blame him. If
(17:18):
he was offered the job to his alma mater, there's
something that hits different. And for a guy who's idol
and mentor gave him his first shot at being a
unpaid grad assistant with Steve Spurrier, I would have no issue.
Here's I'm looking at from Washington standpoint, and this is
the point that if he does go somewhere else, let's
(17:41):
just say hypothetically he does, and you and I our
intuitions and our suspicions are affirmed, and he does end
up leaving, which I don't think is out of the
realm of comprehension. Washington is now hitting the reset button
on a head coach for the third time and four years,
and that to me is just that's that sucks. I mean,
(18:04):
for any program, I think I think we've already taken
it to the edge of you know, appropriateness. Honestly, so
I want to I don't want to get into Okay,
now let's turn the page and say what is Washington
facing when and if that happens, I I look there
there there's a very good chance that we're wrong and
(18:28):
right and so and and I think first things first,
let's beat Purdue. Uh, let's go down and put a
stomp on U c l A. Which will be an
interesting because because Casey Washerman is the number one booster
at u c l A. And and and he has
relations in professional relationships so so so so you know
(18:49):
for those at U c l A, who are you know,
who whatever, however big that that pool is of people
associated with U c l A, uh that may want
Jed Fish. That'll be an interesting game if if Jed
Fish's Huskies come down and drop the house on on
the Bruins. Uh, you know, And then of course Oregon
(19:10):
get some get some energy in the building and beat
the Ducks and go win a bowl game. And ten
wins would be a remarkable accomplishment, no question by coach,
no question.
Speaker 2 (19:19):
And hey, Hugh, we are up against it now because
we didn't get to the Seahawks. Were gonna have you
come back tomorrow at noon?
Speaker 1 (19:27):
Is that okay? Noon tomorrow? Let me cheat. I know,
I got a doctor's appoint I'm all right, I maybe
We'll make it work. Yeah, we'll see.
Speaker 2 (19:37):
Sorry we guys, I didn't get to the Seahawks. I
want to talk to you about the Hawks, man.
Speaker 1 (19:41):
Okay, well, all right, I got a bunch of notes.
But but all right, yeah, no, I I I uh.
And by the way, you're not the first to come
in and regularly reference Adriana Lima. Okay, so get get
fair enough now, I'm down for your your Adriana Liba.
But Susie Cortes and we're gonna have to arm wrests.
(20:02):
All yeah, yeah, oh well I'm you can't. You like
what you like and I love I like what I like.
And she is my dream. She she is my dream. Yes, Susie.
Speaker 2 (20:14):
If if I ever can get enough money, I would
like you will be my future wife.
Speaker 1 (20:19):
That's all I can tell you.
Speaker 2 (20:20):
All right, Hugh, Well, hopefully talk to you tomorrow and
around your doctor's appointment.
Speaker 1 (20:24):
Will make it work, okay, all right?
Speaker 2 (20:26):
Humelling Factor fiction coming up next with Christopher Kid at noon,
the Great PJ. Carlos Simo to talk about the life
and legacy of Lenny Wilkins.
Speaker 1 (20:36):
I can tell you spend some time in the Sunshine State.
He's not on the top.
Speaker 2 (20:43):
Three of their wish list. I'm talking about the Florida Gators.
He's not He's just not maybe four or five sure,
But they want Lane Kiffen. They want Lane Kiffen, and
they want Lane Kiffen. And then as at in second,
they're looking at John Gruden. Maybe Gruden actually might be third,
(21:09):
to tell you the truth, Gruden might be third, but
they want a name, and Jet has had some moderate
success so far in his college brief college head coaching career.
And for Florida, Florida's looking they want the big fish
they want. They want Lane Kiffen, and so does an LSU.
(21:31):
So that's going to be a bidding war between those
two schools. And you know what I think is going
to happen. Ultimately, I think Lane stays at Ole Miss.
I think Lane's in a different stage in his life
right now. I think Lane fifteen years ago, the guy
who left Tennessee after about nine and a half months,
he bolt a Florida LSU quicker than you could say redneck.
(21:53):
Lane's different now, He's more evolved, refined, and I don't
think he's going to jump even now. L As you
you better back up that brinstruck because he is the
hottest commodity in college football and he can pick and
choose any I think the next move Lane Kiffin makes
(22:17):
is going back to the NFL, where he never truly
got a full shot, a fair shot, should I say?
When he was the coach of the Raiders and now
Davis fired him after like a season and three games
and did the big projector press conference and said Lane
Kiffen did not like Jamacus Russell, Hey cripkeeper al with
(22:40):
all due respect to the dearly departed, nobody with half
a brain like JaMarcus Russell their pal. And Lane was
right on that one. Okay, Lane knows a thing or
two about quarterbacks. See Jackson Dart right now and what
he's been able to do and his brief tenure for
the New York Football Giants. See that, Okay. So I
(23:02):
hope Jed stays. I think it's best for the Husky
football program if he stays, and I think next year
they are a bona fide playoff team. Everybody stays, right,
Demon William, how Denzel Boston is going to the NFL.
Speaker 1 (23:19):
There's no way.
Speaker 2 (23:20):
That guy so good, he's yeah, he's gone, he gone.
He's too good. He ain't gonna be here next year.
He's just too good, and Jonah Coleman too so. But
you still have the nucleus in the foundation. All right now,
sign for Christopher Kids keep his hot streak. Alie with
fact or fiction, here we go.
Speaker 1 (23:39):
Where's that to go?
Speaker 3 (23:40):
Glad you're with us. It's your shot at our weekly
thousand bucks and the ten thousand dollars grand Prize. It's
Factor Fiction, probably presented by Lucky Eagle Casino and hotel
where every day Feels Lucky. Fact Door Fiction is on
Sports Radio ninety three point three kjr FM.
Speaker 4 (24:05):
Alright, let's get right into it. This is a tough one,
but I'm gonna go with it anyway. Go ahead and
give me the Baltimore Ravens, who minus nine at the Browns.
The Browns are a bad football team, and I think
Baltimore is at a point where they're hitting their stride.
They got Lamar back, the offense is turning out points,
(24:28):
the defense is slowly but surely figuring things out.
Speaker 1 (24:31):
They're getting better, and I think they should be able
to handle the Browns on the road.
Speaker 4 (24:36):
So give me the Baltimore Ravens minus nine versus the
Cleveland Browns. If you agree, they're gonna text in fact
to four nine four or five to one. If you disagree,
you think Cleveland could make it a at least a
ten point game, you gotta text in fiction. All right,
that's my pick. Baltimore Ravens minus nine versus the Browns.
Speaker 2 (25:02):
There you go on the road, on the road, on
the road, all right, Well, Ravens are a different scene
with Lamar so and they're you know, they're turning into
the uh they're the team to beat in the ANFC
North Division.
Speaker 1 (25:13):
There, it's just crazy go through four and five. Meanwhile,
the Steelers are five and three.
Speaker 2 (25:17):
They were two and five, and they were still the
odds on favorite to win the division because Vegas knew
that Lamar was coming back. When Lamar comes back, everything
changes and it's becomes the Baltimore's Division all over again.
And it clearly is it clearly is. Can you see
how miserable DK Metcalfe is in Pittsburgh right now? He
just looks, he just looks unhappy. Well, he's getting double
and triple teamed.
Speaker 1 (25:37):
If that's what happens when you're the best on your
other team.
Speaker 2 (25:39):
Nobody and nobody else they had nobody else to throw to.
Pickens is in Dallas. Friar Mouth's okay, yeah he's the
next best. But even then DK is like damn, no
one else. But yeah, tough, tough for DK. But hey,
you know that's football for you. You can't do it
by yourself. So yeah, the pick is in Baltimore.
Speaker 4 (25:57):
Ravens minus nine at the Cleveland brown Another road game
for this team that's trying to get back in the hunt,
trying to get back to goals of winning a Super Bowl. Well,
this is another opportunity handle business be down on the Browns.
Or if you agree, you got text in fact the
four nine four or five to one. If you don't
think that's gonna happen, you're gonna text in fiction the
(26:18):
four nine four five one again Ravens minus nine favorites
on the road against the Browns.
Speaker 2 (26:24):
All right, there you go, fact or fiction. A lot
of people coming in and texting in about you know,
text line. For the most part, there's a lot of
people out there that you when you try to point
the finger at someone like not so fast. My friend
Don James is a graduate of Miami of Ohio. Dude,
(26:45):
who do you think you're talking to?
Speaker 1 (26:49):
You know, kid? Can we get the degeneration? Next music up?
Can we get that? Are you ready? Who do you
who do you think you're talking to? Can we hear that?
Speaker 2 (26:59):
Don James is a graduate of the real University of
Miami of Coral Gables, Florida. He was a quarterback and
a defensive back at the U. But I can tell
you all about the University of Miami football program, so
I know who went there and who didn't. Okay, okay?
(27:20):
And I know Don James is a proud was a
proud Miami Hurricane former QB.
Speaker 1 (27:27):
I know that for a fact. May he rest in peace.
So you know who you're talking to? Okay? Doesn't that
bring you back to the days when you would just
you go to school? Go, I got two words for you.
Speaker 2 (27:41):
You know how many people got suspended back in that
time and telling their teachers we got two words for you.
Speaker 1 (27:48):
Suck it.
Speaker 2 (27:49):
You know how many people got suspended. Vince McMahon and
he didn't care. He just he's laughing all the way
to the bank. Boy Powers hawks Man, that song got
me so socked, dude, Oh my lord, you think that
jo Beta oh Man x poc Oh I love that time.
Speaker 1 (28:12):
What a great time that was. All right? Uh, what
are the odds and what does that mean for the
odds this Sunday?
Speaker 2 (28:21):
Who does Vegas favor and why do they favor in
the Seahawks Rams game. We'll get to that next, and
we pay a tribute to the life and legacy of
the late great Lenny Wilkins at noon, talking to a
man who was part of the greatest basketball team of
(28:42):
all time, staff PG Carlssimo, former Sonics coach, former NBA coach,
former coach of Seaton Hall and took them to the
National Championship game back in nineteen eighty nine. We'll talk
to coach Carlossimo coming up at noon, and if you're
not down with that, we got two words for you.
You know how big of a gambling guy I am.
(29:07):
We host the first ever weekly gambling show in the
history of this legendary heritage station better known as KA
j R.
Speaker 1 (29:16):
Oh.
Speaker 2 (29:16):
By the way, I was watching the first episode of
Alex Versus a Rod, the documentary series that's on HBO
now HBO Max, and they showed a clip of a
guy that used to be here, and I gotta find
out who this is. And it was when it was
on nine point fifty, you know, at the time, and
(29:37):
when a Rod left to go to the Rangers and
all this stuff. And I never knew Dave Kniehouse is
the one who nicknamed him a Rod. I thought that
was down in Miami or something like that. Dave Kneehouse goes,
you know what, I just called you that and it
(29:58):
just kind of sticks. So I hope it it's okay.
And he created this monster. And by the way, it's unbelievable.
But the weirdest thing about it, this is what his
ex wife, Cynthia says. She said, what did you think
the first time that you met Alex? Do you know
what her answer is to the question. And I'm not
(30:19):
giving you a spoiler here, I'm just I'm not going
to tell you the whole thing, but she goes.
Speaker 1 (30:22):
I felt sorry for him. He was already with the
Seattle Mariners. He was already the number one pick in
the draft. I think he already won Rookie of the Year.
And she said, I felt sorry for him. It's crazy.
Even if you hate a Rod, it's unbelievable. All right.
Speaker 2 (30:42):
Line opened up late Sunday night. Rams came out as
a four and a half point favorite. Don't forget picking
the locks every Friday night. Me and Lee Sterling right
here at seven o'clock every Friday night. The Rams opened
up initially as a four and a half point favorite,
but the action.
Speaker 1 (31:02):
The steam is all on the See.
Speaker 2 (31:08):
Hawks. The line has come down to two and a
half points. Uh oh oh, somebody knows something. The money
has gone all on Seattle. And don't be surprised if
(31:28):
this thing gets down to a one and a half
one by Sunday afternoon at one oh five pm. The
money is on Seattle big time. I don't know if
I love that, but that's where it is. Sixty one
percent of the money on the money line is on
(31:48):
the Hawks.
Speaker 1 (31:51):
On the spread. This scares me. Kid, you ready for this?
Speaker 2 (31:55):
Seventy seven percent of the money bet. We're talking all casinos, DraftKings,
fan Duel, MGM, every one of them. Seventy seven percent
of the money is on the Seattle Seahawks.
Speaker 1 (32:13):
Uh oh uh oh. This is making me very very nervous.
Speaker 2 (32:20):
Sixty one percent of the money line and here's the money.
The way I can tell you right now that the
money is sharp on Seattle. Listen to this percentage of bets,
sixty six percent are on the Rams. That means the
people with their twenty five dollars tickets. But the money line,
the money line, it's on the Hawks.
Speaker 1 (32:44):
Uh oh wow.
Speaker 2 (32:46):
I don't know whether to love this or be worried
in paranoid about it. But the money is on the
Hawks Vegas notices and the people are betting Seattle.
Speaker 1 (32:55):
So here we f and go. Oh, I can't wait,
don't forget.
Speaker 2 (32:58):
Come on out to Galaxy at Muckleshut Casino Resort on
Sunday for the game, the Seattle Away Game Rumble Watch Party.
Speaker 1 (33:06):
I'll be there.
Speaker 2 (33:07):
KGr will be giving away free T shirts from KJR.
The Modello Girls will be there. They'll be giving away
a bunch of different prizes as well. It's awesome, give
card a bunch of things. Just come on out for
what could be the biggest and best regular season game
of the twenty twenty five NFL season.
Speaker 1 (33:27):
PG Carlossimo coming up next
