Happy Holidays tis the season for all of the holiday concerts.
There is nothing like a kid's concert or a kid's
talent show. You want some entertainment, boy, let me tell
you go to a kid's performance because you just never
know what might happen. And case in point, there is

(00:26):
a video that is going completely viral right now of
this little four year old girl named Story who was
at a Christmas performance at her school. Performance is over. Yep,
her principal has the microphone. A little Story walks up
to the stage and was like, excuse me, could I
get the mic? Until the principal was like sure, sure,

(00:47):
hands it to four year old Story, and this moment
was born.

Speaker 3 (00:51):
I am very proud of myself in my class. Is
very sweet.

Speaker 2 (00:59):
Except one, no, you don't need to tell me anything.
That's when the principle reaches down and grabs the mic
from Story before she continues her story.

Speaker 3 (01:15):
That is so cute, cute, really cute, and I'm like,
I want to know the boy. I know everyone was like,
who's the boy? Who's the kid?

Speaker 2 (01:22):
A kid will tell the truth every single time, but
it is so adorable, Like I said, you want some entertainment,
go to a kid's program. And you know what her
mom said, the little boy in question. She's surprised that
story mentioned him because she said, for a long time
she would talk about this little kid. He made a
loud noise in class and it scared her and that's

(01:43):
why she's still holding on to that moment.

Speaker 3 (01:46):
I will never know who the little boy is. Give
me the microphone. Does the principal snatch the mic? It
is adorable.

Speaker 2 (01:54):
It's gotten like over like millions and if you want
to see it, will throw it on our social at
Classic Hits one o three seven FM.

been working on the grades all year round.

Speaker 2 (03:07):
The mascot for the Charlotte Hornets reached into his bag.

Speaker 3 (03:11):
He was dressed like Santa Claus and Holidays friend, Holidays Friend.
They gave the kid.

Speaker 2 (03:18):
That's five PlayStation five and everybody went crazy. And then
the little kid walked backstage and they're like, hey, we're
gonna we're gonna need that back jack.

Speaker 3 (03:28):
They took it away from him.

Speaker 2 (03:29):
We're gonna need that PlayStation back Jack. That was just
for the uh, for the show the video JumboTron. Here's
a jersey. Take this jersey instead.

Speaker 4 (03:39):
That's exactly what they did. This poor kid.

Speaker 3 (03:42):
That's so janky.

Speaker 2 (03:45):
You're thirteen years old, you just got hooked up with
a brand new PlayStation Center Court and then as soon
as you walk.

Speaker 3 (03:51):
Off there like take this jersey, kid, give us our
PlayStation back. Have a nice day. You're an NBA team,
Are you kidding?

Speaker 2 (03:57):
Eventually they actually, you know, after someone posted it online
and they got blasted. They said no, no, no, no, just kidding.
We gave him the PlayStation five.

Speaker 4 (04:07):
Yeah, they gave him a VIP experience too to make
up for it.

Speaker 3 (04:10):
But come on, that's jockie. Know what you guys were doing.
Let me tell you. Shout out to the Golden State Warriors.
Wouldn't do anything like that.

Speaker 2 (04:19):
And shout out to the new w NBA team, the
Golden State Valkyries. Actually, yesterday I helped them give out
over three hundred pairs of shoes in West Oakland. They
teamed up with shoes that fit and we went to
Martin Luther King Junior Elementary School and gave out shoes

(04:39):
to all of the kids.

Speaker 3 (04:41):
Wow, that's amazing. Three hundred shoes is a lot.

Speaker 2 (04:43):
It's over three hundred. These are brand new Nikes, Pumas, Adidas.
These shoes were clean, they were Jordan's.

Speaker 3 (04:50):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (04:50):
So shout out to the Bay Area teams doing good
and not just pulling the okie doke on kids center court.

Speaker 3 (04:56):
Don't do that, Please, don't do that.

in a while, but Producer Karina's family takes it to.

Speaker 3 (07:26):
A whole new level. My name is Christy.

Speaker 2 (07:29):
Producer Karina and I have been friends for over twenty years.
And if you don't know, she lives with her family,
plays with her family, they literally do everything together, which
means inevitably something's gonna go down.

Speaker 3 (07:41):
It's time for another episode of Karina's family drama.

Speaker 2 (07:46):
So on Tuesday we left off and Karna's dad Wan
had accidentally almost killed the family chihuahua.

Speaker 3 (07:52):
By giving her meat that she catch and she started
choking on it. Luckily she's okay.

Speaker 4 (07:56):
But now yesterday I get a call from my mom
and she's garage. Basically, my dad went into the garage
and wants to throw everything away.

Speaker 2 (08:08):
So Kara sends me a text message, my dad is
dumping everything from the garage with zero f's given about
my stuff. She sends me a shot of the ring
camera and the driveway is covered with stuff, and then
the next part of her text message my beanie baby
sad crying face.

Speaker 4 (08:32):
I got a huge bin of beanie babies that I've
had for forty years. I call my mom and I'm like,
save the beanie babies, and she's like, huan, no, beanie babies,
don't throw them away. And so my dad's in the
background yelling, I don't care. They've been here forever. They
need to go. Damn the beanie babies getting evicted. I'm
watching this all play out in the ring camera, and

(08:54):
so I'm rushing to get home so I can save
my beanie baby.

Speaker 3 (09:02):
So what happened?

Speaker 4 (09:03):
I pull up and he has everything loaded in the
vent ready to go to the dumps. So my dad
won tells me, don't put anything back in this garage.

Speaker 3 (09:11):
Oh so rip beanie babies.

Speaker 4 (09:13):
No, I tell my mom, distract my dad so I
can't get the bit of beanie babies out of there.

Speaker 3 (09:20):
I did, and I snatched it on the side of
the house. So where they just gonna live on the
side of the house now.

Speaker 4 (09:25):
No, I took him to get Margarita's he's seventy four
years old.

Speaker 3 (09:29):
I moved him back to the garage. He's not gonna notice.
He's not gonna notice. That concludes another episode Family Drama
until next Tuesday, where we will revisit the Velasquez Households.
Never a dull moment. Every Tuesday and Thursday. Always talk

(09:55):
about the crazy.

Speaker 2 (09:56):
Viral trends and things happening in the world, and something
called you gotta be kidding me, Wait till you find
out about the newest profession that people are actually getting paid.
People are getting paid to do this and it's gonna
make you say, you gotta be kidding me. Coming up
next on Classic Kids one o three point.

Speaker 4 (10:13):
Set, Christie Live.

Speaker 2 (10:15):
People pay big bucks to relax and there's lots of
different ways that you can do that.

Speaker 3 (10:20):
You can go get a massage, you can go to
a spa.

Speaker 2 (10:22):

are paying for that's gonna make you.

oh three point seven.

Speaker 2 (10:31):
Every Tuesday and Thursday, we talk about the crazy viral
trends happening in the world. And there is a new
trend that involves women with three inch long nails, and
these women are getting paid as professional backscratchers for one
hundred and sixty dollars an hour. No one of these
women will run her nails along your back so you

(10:55):
can get the sensation and the sound of somebody scratching
your back.

Speaker 3 (11:02):
You gotta be kidding me. I'll do that for twenty dollars.

Speaker 4 (11:05):
I mean, come on now, I'm not paying somebody one
hundred and sixty an hour to scratch your back.

Speaker 2 (11:11):
You got to go to the ninety nine cent store
and get one of those little toy hands that you
use to backscratchers and use that or get your kid
to scratch your back.

Speaker 3 (11:20):
Why do you need your backscratch for an hour? I
don't know. I guess some people find it very therapeutic.

Speaker 2 (11:25):
They said it's not sexual at all, not at all.
A woman with three inch long nails running her fingers
through your hair and down your back.

Speaker 4 (11:35):
Well, they're making money off of this, a good chunk
of money.

Speaker 2 (11:38):
By the way, next thing you know is going to
be professional nosepickers. I'm just saying people will pay for anything.

Speaker 3 (11:44):
That's already a thing. Well, I'm just kidding. Okay, you
gotta be kidding me.

Ruthie's Table 4

Ruthie's Table 4

For more than 30 years The River Cafe in London, has been the home-from-home of artists, architects, designers, actors, collectors, writers, activists, and politicians. Michael Caine, Glenn Close, JJ Abrams, Steve McQueen, Victoria and David Beckham, and Lily Allen, are just some of the people who love to call The River Cafe home. On River Cafe Table 4, Rogers sits down with her customers—who have become friends—to talk about food memories. Table 4 explores how food impacts every aspect of our lives. “Foods is politics, food is cultural, food is how you express love, food is about your heritage, it defines who you and who you want to be,” says Rogers. Each week, Rogers invites her guest to reminisce about family suppers and first dates, what they cook, how they eat when performing, the restaurants they choose, and what food they seek when they need comfort. And to punctuate each episode of Table 4, guests such as Ralph Fiennes, Emily Blunt, and Alfonso Cuarón, read their favourite recipe from one of the best-selling River Cafe cookbooks. Table 4 itself, is situated near The River Cafe’s open kitchen, close to the bright pink wood-fired oven and next to the glossy yellow pass, where Ruthie oversees the restaurant. You are invited to take a seat at this intimate table and join the conversation.
