Today on The Morning Mosh Pit, we are talking Apple flip phones, and honestly, Apple could put a hinge on anything, and people would start financing it immediately.

You already know how this goes. Somebody will say they do not need it, then two weeks later they are walking around like, “Nah, it is actually kind of fire.” Five Things gets you up to speed on what everybody needs to know.

Comedian Pat McGann joins us in the studio, and when Pat is in the room, the jokes come fast, the Chicago energy is real, and nobody is safe in the best way.

Apple nostalgia, Bears holiday drama, Sydney Sweeney, dogs at the bar, and Pat McGann in the studio. That is Morning Mosh Pit behavior.

Speaker 1 (00:01):
Rock 95.5. We are the morning mosh pit on this
beautiful Thursday. One game in on the starts of the
NFL season, and we've got Thursday night football.

Speaker 2 (00:12):
I know.

Speaker 3 (00:13):
I love it. Two nights in a row.

Speaker 2 (00:14):
I know.

Speaker 3 (00:14):
What a game last night, by the way. Interesting game.
It wasn't what I expected by any means. First drive.
Quarterback down. Yep. Hip injury, I guess. Do we know
anything more about it? I didn't see any updates on that.
I haven't seen anything else. And then old Drew Locke
comes in. And boy, let me tell you how much
I love Drew Locke. We'll get into that a little
bit later. That guy sucks. Let's get to weather first. Yeah, okay.

Speaker 1 (00:34):
Let's do it.

Speaker 3 (00:35):
Michael says don't go outside or look out your window.

Speaker 1 (00:38):
It'll ruin the surprise. Here's weather.

Speaker 3 (00:41):
Did you make a bet?

Speaker 2 (00:42):
No.

Speaker 1 (00:42):
Okay.

Speaker 2 (00:43):
No, no.

Speaker 3 (00:44):
I got a.

Speaker 1 (00:45):
absorb week one and then i can kind of plan
a little bit better on how bets are.

Speaker 4 (00:50):
Gonna go i'm one for one baby oh yeah nice
20 bucks paid uh 93 i think damn yeah uh
gonna be cloudy today uh pretty much cloudy all day
uh super high humidity though right now humidity at 94
out there uh visibility low in a lot of areas
not downtown and then the major airports are okay but
some of the regional airports are having visibility issues.

Speaker 3 (01:12):
But yeah, other than that, just cloudy.

Speaker 1 (01:14):
Okay. That's not bad.

Speaker 3 (01:15):
No, not too bad at all.

Speaker 1 (01:17):
Speaking of Thursday night football, both teams took different strategies
for travel.

Speaker 3 (01:22):
I think this is horrible that they make these teams travel. Well,
I get, I get the money that the NFL needs
more money, but I think like if I was an athlete,
I'd be like, Jesus, we got to travel this year,
especially to Australia.

Speaker 2 (01:33):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (01:33):
That's wild.

Speaker 2 (01:34):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (01:34):
But yeah, we're going to get into the logistics of
that next on the morning. A whole lot of mud
right here on rock 95, five. Thank you for joining us.
We are the morning mosh pit. We're, uh, Remember now
Maria's on vacation.

Speaker 2 (01:47):
Okay.

Speaker 1 (01:47):
Cause we're talking a whole lot of football tonight for
Thursday night football. They're playing in Australia.

Speaker 3 (01:55):
It's crazy.

Speaker 1 (01:56):
49ers taking on the Rams. And there's a lot of
to do with this one. Each team had to send
shipping containers over of gear.

Speaker 3 (02:06):
On boats, obviously.

Speaker 1 (02:07):
On boats. So they had to plan that well ahead.
And along with that, the gear that they sent over,
they had to clean thoroughly to make sure that any
grass or seed or anything wasn't brought over from America
to Australia. They've already dealt with enough from invasive species
and whatnot.

Speaker 3 (02:24):
Yeah, you don't need your seed over in foreign countries. Yes,
you don't.

Speaker 1 (02:28):
But this is a 16-hour flight covering 8,000 miles to
get to Australia. And both teams took a very different
approach to it. The 49ers have been in Australia since
last Friday. Okay. That's good.

Speaker 3 (02:43):
That seems good.

Speaker 1 (02:43):
That gives them time to acclimate, get over the jet
lag a little bit.

Speaker 3 (02:48):
Have some practices.

Speaker 1 (02:49):
Yeah, get some practices in on the grounds. And more importantly,
they're there. Okay. The Rams left yesterday.

Speaker 3 (02:55):
Okay. Their goal be basically stay up.

Speaker 2 (02:59):
Yeah, exactly.

Speaker 1 (02:59):
They're going to be on a completely separate clock. They're
not acclimating. Their clock is going to stay in tune
with game time. So they're never truly shifting from LA life.
They're going to stay up and do whatever they need
to do to just be ready for the game, get
in and get out. So everybody's kind of looking at

(03:20):
this like whose approach is going to be better. What
do you think about both approaches, Michael?

Speaker 3 (03:25):
Well, my thought is if you put all those athletes,
those young stud athletes in Australia for two weeks before
the game, there could be things happening. They could be
having a little too much fun, potentially.

Speaker 1 (03:37):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (03:38):
The Rams, though, I think that's a gamble, because if
it was like, if they could play the game within
24 hours, maybe, but I think at 48 hours, that's
when it all starts shifting and kicking in, and they
may be a little lagged and tired. So it's just
your body clock. Yeah.

Speaker 1 (03:53):
That's the biggest concern right now. I think I'd go,
if I was picking, I would go with being there early.
I'm on board with being there early as well, because...
We know. Stuff happens with planes. Stuff happens with weather.
That's a good point. If they ran that gamble going
last minute and they didn't make it in time for
the game, what are you going to do? This is

(04:13):
internationally broadcast now.

Speaker 3 (04:15):
At this point.

Speaker 1 (04:15):
Crazy. So very interesting approaches, but I do want to
hear from you on your thoughts on how you think
this goes.

Speaker 2 (04:23):
844-955-9550.

Speaker 1 (04:23):
If you're the GM of the Rams or the 49ers,
are you going early or are you going last minute
to keep everybody's body clock on the same schedule as
back home? But we'll see. We're going to have instant
results tonight with the game. Probably going to stay up
until halftime again.

Speaker 3 (04:41):
Yeah, exactly. Last night I thought that game was over.
Did you hear about the taxes like Brock Purdy's getting
hit with? The players who go to Australia get taxed
by Australia.

Speaker 2 (04:50):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (04:50):
Because they're being paid for where they play. Yeah, so
Brock Purdy's getting taxed $ 1. 14 million from Australia, $ 966, 000 federal,
and $ 347, 000 from California. Total taxes for this game, $ 1. 49 million.

Speaker 1 (05:06):
Jesus.

Speaker 3 (05:07):
Whoa! By the way, he still gets to keep $ 1. 12 million.
I was going to say, he's going to be just fine.
Holy moly. He will be just fine. Nerd alert.

Speaker 1 (05:18):
Nerd alert.

Speaker 3 (05:20):
It's time to dark out.

Speaker 1 (05:22):
That we shall.

Speaker 3 (05:25):
Nintendo, shout out.

Speaker 1 (05:27):
Nintendo Direct Day 2, after Day 1 was all focused
on Zelda Ocarina of Time. It's going to be out
in early November. I believe it's November 6th. Um, they
announced a slew of other games that are going to
be headed your way. If you've got a switch or
switch to, uh, Kirby and the world beyond is getting

(05:47):
an open world Kirby game.

Speaker 3 (05:49):
And that's going to be out in spring 2027. Kirby's
my guy.

Speaker 1 (05:53):
Yeah, that is my favorite Nintendo character. So I'm very
excited about that. Mega Man Duel Override is also going
to be out in spring 2027. It's going to go
back to I shouldn't say go back to OG Mega
Man 2D game. You're going to have Proto Man in
this one. Mario Kart is getting a free update. It's

(06:15):
going to be adding some classic courses that we all
know and love along with 10 new courses and two
new routes for the knockout tour.

Speaker 3 (06:23):
And did I mention it was free? A Koopa Beach?

Speaker 1 (06:25):
Yes, sir.

Speaker 3 (06:26):
I hope it's like OG original. That'd be fun if
the graphics were updated, but it was just like the
original game. That's exactly what I'm talking about. That'd be sick.

Speaker 1 (06:34):
Metroid.

Speaker 3 (06:35):
That game alone is worth buying the Switch. Oh, for sure.
Especially if they're doing free DLC. Let's go.

Speaker 1 (06:40):
Metroid's got a new game coming out in January. This
one's going to also be 2D. And I'm happy that.

Speaker 3 (06:47):
nintendo's leaning into the 2d side of things.

Speaker 1 (06:50):
I know we have the technology to be 3d and
do open world stuff but sometimes you can make a
perfect 2d game.

Speaker 3 (06:56):
In the donkey kong game yes when i can't there's
a certain part it's just called like nostalgia land yeah
and it's 2d just like the old games but the
graphics are really good i was like this is the.

Speaker 1 (07:06):
Coolest this reactionary it's so fun yeah uh metroid's got
a new game coming out uh january 28th uh or
i just mentioned that tomb raider Legacy of Atlantis will
be out February 12th. Resident Evil has three games coming
out on the Switch, all remastered and remakes, so they're
going to be cleaning that up. And then Star Fox

(07:26):
has a free update as well. You're going to see
new updates to their multiplayer.

Speaker 3 (07:33):
Platform on Star Fox. Great, because I haven't used that yet,
but I want to.

Speaker 1 (07:36):
So shout out to Nintendo. You got bad news coming
from PlayStation, bad news coming from Xbox, but Nintendo continuing
what they do best, and that is monopolize on our nostalgia.

Speaker 3 (07:48):
Yeah, exactly.

Speaker 1 (07:49):
I absolutely love it.

Speaker 3 (07:50):
They're kind of like the family, right? Like when I
think of PlayStation or Xbox, I think of like shooting games,
fighting games. When I think of Nintendo, I think of
Donkey Kong. Yeah. I think of Mario Kart.

Speaker 1 (07:59):
They have all those characters ingrained in our head. And
when they do introduce new properties, they all do very
well as well.

Speaker 3 (08:06):
Oh, Maris, when you get a chance, you got to
go to Universal Studios and go to that Mario world.
It is. When you walk in, it's like being in
the game. It's shocking at first. It's pretty cool.

Speaker 1 (08:15):
I'll have to make a trip. We should give away
some Iron Maiden tickets.

Speaker 3 (08:20):
That'd be a great idea.

Speaker 1 (08:20):
Yeah. Let's do that with Pit Happens on the way
next on Rock 95.5. Rock 95.5. Are we speaking with
Jim from Rolling Meadows? Yes.

Speaker 3 (08:31):
What's going on, Jim? How are you doing this Thursday?

Speaker 1 (08:34):
Doing good.

Speaker 3 (08:36):
How about you guys?

Speaker 1 (08:36):
Oh, we're doing fantastic. And thank you for joining us
for Pit Happens today. This is the lovely game where
we put you in a situation and your goal is
not to get kicked out, tossed out, thrown out, or
bounced out. And I'm your pit master today. And we're
going over to Soldier Field. Huge game going on yesterday.
Got Messi in town with Inter-Miami and, of course, Chicago

(08:59):
Fire having a great season right now. And I had
to get us tickets, Jim. We are sitting right at midfield.
Excellent season. As the game is getting ready to kick off.

Speaker 3 (09:14):
Another group of people walk over and go, hey, those
are our seats.

Speaker 2 (09:19):
Oh, boy.

Speaker 1 (09:21):
Are you guys in section 150, row two? I'm like, yeah,
that's us.

Speaker 3 (09:27):
Seats three, four, five. Yeah, that's us.

Speaker 1 (09:30):
Okay. So our tickets match up pretty well. Another trio
walks up from the other side, drunk, aggressive.

Speaker 3 (09:38):
Hey, those are my seats.

Speaker 1 (09:41):
Oh, boy.

Speaker 2 (09:41):
Okay.

Speaker 1 (09:42):
Now we have three sets of people who have the
same exact tickets all in.

Speaker 3 (09:49):
The stadium, mind you, trying to watch this game.

Speaker 1 (09:53):
The drunk group is starting to get aggressive and push
people out of the seats because they don't want to
miss the game. Jim, security. barreling down on us, trying
to figure out the situation. How do you calm things
down so that we don't get kicked out? Well, that's easy.

Speaker 3 (10:08):
You put one team against the other as far as
who wants the seat.

Speaker 2 (10:12):
You let them fight it out, and then they're going
to both get kicked out.

Speaker 3 (10:15):
I love that.

Speaker 1 (10:15):
Then you get the seat. Okay.

Speaker 3 (10:17):
We're going to be like, it's their seat, and then
you're going to tell the other people it's their seat.

Speaker 1 (10:21):
Yes.

Speaker 3 (10:21):
And they're going to fight it. Absolutely. Yes.

Speaker 1 (10:23):
We're going to make the other two teams fight.

Speaker 3 (10:25):
Here we go. 20-sided dice. 20 is good, one is bad.
That's a 17er. That's a 17er. That's great.

Speaker 1 (10:32):
So the drunk trio starts to take on the other trio.
And we just kind of step back, let this happen.
Security does what they need to do. Actually, they come
and check on us. Are you guys okay? We're sorry
this happened to you. That's very unacceptable. The other trios
get walked out of Soldier Field. We sit down, grab
a beer, and enjoy an amazing game of soccer. And, Jim,

(10:55):
you are all set, my man. You are going to
Iron Maiden.

Speaker 2 (10:58):
Nice. Awesome.

Speaker 1 (10:59):
Yeah, you will be in the building at Credit Union
1 Amphitheater on September 22nd. Do you have any plans
on who you want to take with you to this one? Ooh,
you know what?

Speaker 2 (11:11):
My 18-year-old just got his wisdom piece pulled. Let's get some.

Speaker 3 (11:15):
Heavy metal wisdom back.

Speaker 1 (11:17):
Oh, nice. You know what? I think that's a great
way to heal. So, yes, you and your son are
all set, my man. Jim, you guys are good to go.
Everybody else, go get your tickets at Ticketmaster.com. All thanks
to our friends over at Live Nation. Hey, Michael.

Speaker 2 (11:33):
Yeah, yeah.

Speaker 1 (11:34):
Did you see the Apple flip phone?

Speaker 3 (11:36):
I love Apple. I do love Apple.

Speaker 1 (11:39):
I saw it. We got to talk about it because
they're not doing anything new. It's new. It's new for Apple.

Speaker 3 (11:46):
Well, of course, which means it's the best.

Speaker 1 (11:48):
Samsung has done this, and we're going to talk about
it next on Rock 95.5.

Speaker 3 (11:52):
Blue Android. Broadcasting from high atop the Hancock. WCHI HD1 Chicago.
An iHeart Radio station. Guaranteed human.

Speaker 1 (12:04):
On Rock 95.5.

Speaker 3 (12:05):
Ooh, I'm so excited.

Speaker 1 (12:07):
I bet you are.

Speaker 3 (12:08):
Brand new Apple phone. A flip phone situation. A foldable
coming out. Y'all are so late. What do you mean late?
We are top tier.

Speaker 1 (12:19):
Android has done this and has been releasing this for
at least four years now.

Speaker 3 (12:25):
I don't go to that neighborhood. I'm just looking at
the houses here. I don't know what to tell you.

Speaker 1 (12:29):
Tell me about your new, not new, phone idea with Apple.

Speaker 3 (12:33):
It is Apple's first foldable phone called the iPhone Duo.
In the same press conference there, whatever it's called, they
launched the iPhone 18 Pro and 18 Pro Max phones. Um,
no regular, I, I, uh, iPhone 18 this fall. Uh,
it's a book style foldable 5.4 inch screen when closed 7.6
inch screen when open, uh, the thinnest iPhone, uh, thinnest

(12:56):
iPhone ever went open. So I guess my beef was,
is that it would be real thick when you fold it.
But I guess if it's really thin.

Speaker 1 (13:02):
It's not– well, you're spreading out the pieces within the phone.

Speaker 3 (13:06):
That makes sense. So– I worry that you'd put it
in your back pocket. This is what people was happening
with the iPhone Max, Pro Max or whatever it was,
is it was big. And so people put it in
their back pocket and you sit down and it just
folds it in half.

Speaker 1 (13:17):
Yeah, I'm not sitting on my phone. I'm having self-awareness
that I spent– How much is the phone?

Speaker 3 (13:23):
Like $ 2, 000? Perfect price point at $ 2, 000. It goes up
to $ 3, 100.

Speaker 1 (13:28):
I'm not sitting on a $ 2, 000 phone. It's going to
have a beautiful case. It's going to be in my
front pocket to begin with. And yeah, that's not going
to happen. That's not going to be an accident that
I even think about. Two grand for a phone. It's
like a car payment to take selfies.

Speaker 3 (13:42):
Like, that's crazy.

Speaker 1 (13:43):
But for the fine folks who I have seen, they
have used the Android flippable phone. They love it.

Speaker 3 (13:50):
Well, I mean, it's not nearly the iPhone. So that's cool.
So then you get the upgraded version with the Apple version.
And then if you like the Android version, you could.
It's not an upgrade. It's old technology that they finally
figured out. They finally figured out how to do it.
They just announced it yesterday.

Speaker 1 (14:05):
They just figured out how to do it on an Apple, Michael.

Speaker 3 (14:08):
As I sit here in front of one, two MacBook Pros,
I have an iPhone in front of me and AirPods.

Speaker 1 (14:14):
In my ears. And I know we do this argument
very regularly. I see the benefits of both and I
own both products.

Speaker 3 (14:22):
Oh, Steve Stiles coming in from the other room. He says,
and I wondered this, too. What kind of iPhone case
will work on the foldable phone? How's that work?

Speaker 1 (14:31):
It's basically it just is on the outside of the phone.

Speaker 3 (14:35):
Does the case fold? Does it have hinges?

Speaker 1 (14:38):
It moves with the phone, yeah. So it protects the
hinge and it protects the corners. For the people that
can afford it and want it, it's a great phone.
Because it acts like a smaller version of a tablet
that you can put in your pocket. And if you're
multitasking on your phone a lot, it allows you to
do so much more. But if you're just looking for
a phone, you don't need all that. Yeah, it's pretty

(15:00):
expensive too. Pre-orders start October 16th. In stores October 23rd.
That seems soon, I guess. But, yeah, kind of crazy.

Speaker 3 (15:09):
New iPhone coming out there and the new regular iPhones, too.
But the one I have is just a Pro.

Speaker 1 (15:15):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (15:15):
Like, the Max is so much bigger. It's just too big.
How many screens do we need? This is the big
version of the Android. See, but yours looks about like mine.

Speaker 1 (15:22):
Yeah, exactly. It's not that... There's not that big of
a difference.

Speaker 3 (15:24):
So Android doesn't make real big screens, too, or they
just make small screens?

Speaker 1 (15:27):
They're efficient with what they do because they are a
quality brand, Michael. 844-955-9550. Have you used a foldable phone?
Do you want the foldable phone? Are you going to
get it?

Speaker 3 (15:40):
What was the one that used to flip open when
we were growing up? Oh, my gosh.

Speaker 1 (15:44):
What was it?

Speaker 3 (15:44):
It wasn't a kiosk. It was a Motorola. Motorola Switch.
flip yeah it wasn't a flip what was that chat.

Speaker 1 (15:51):
Yeah help us out 844-955-9550 let's go the countdown is
on to the most talked about music festival on the
planet let's go crazy our iheart radio music festival presented.

Speaker 3 (16:01):
By capital one it's gonna bring you down.

Speaker 1 (16:14):
Five-ish things you almost certainly need to know. It's a
hell of a community service. I'll tell you that much.
Let's start with a giveaway.

Speaker 3 (16:25):
844-955-9550.

Speaker 1 (16:26):
We want you to be there for T-Box.

Speaker 3 (16:29):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (16:29):
They're celebrating 30 years for the 12 bars of Christmas
Santa Crawl. Over 12 plus bars going down in Wrigleyville,
all kicking off at the Cubby Bear Cafe.

Speaker 3 (16:39):
That is December 13th. We want you to be there.

Speaker 1 (16:41):
844-955-9550. And did I mention they're celebrating 30 years?

Speaker 3 (16:48):
What time of year is that? What holiday is that around?
It's winter Christmas.

Speaker 1 (16:52):
Shut up, Mike.

Speaker 3 (16:53):
I love it.

Speaker 1 (16:54):
So apparently if you are a faster walker, you don't
need to take as many steps to help get yourself healthy.

Speaker 3 (17:02):
So it's basically a balance is what this study is saying.

Speaker 1 (17:05):
If you're a faster walker, you don't have to walk
as long of distances to get the same effect as
people who might walk larger steps or have bigger step counts.

Speaker 3 (17:15):
So pace yourself or just walk longer. Do what you
got to do. I walked 13 miles yesterday. Oh, wow.

Speaker 1 (17:22):
I know.

Speaker 3 (17:22):
I've been back on my BS.

Speaker 2 (17:23):
Wow.

Speaker 3 (17:24):
Good job.

Speaker 1 (17:25):
Billy Joel revealed that he had brain surgery. The piano
man was dishing about this. He's like, I'm not going anywhere.
I'm here. I'm still here. I noticed that my balance
was not good. I had this sense of being on
a boat like I was in rocking motion. I wasn't
steady on my feet. He's healing well and doing well.

(17:45):
And we're going to continue to wish him the best. Michael,
do you have $ 34 million?

Speaker 2 (17:49):
No.

Speaker 3 (17:51):
The Bunny Ranch.

Speaker 1 (17:52):
Brothel is now up for sale in Nevada, and that
purchase is going to get you the infamous Cat House
along with a few other sprawling footprints for the desert
real estate area.

Speaker 3 (18:03):
Boy, does that sound like a headache.

Speaker 1 (18:06):
Yes, absolutely a headache. Shout out to Shake Shack for
the best shake, the round that I think needs to
stay around. This Halloween, you're going to get yourself a
Reese's Peanut Butter Cup Shake, vanilla custard with the Reese's
Creamy Peanut Butter cups and fudge sauce oh it's gonna
be amazing i'm gonna have to go to shake shot

(18:27):
shake jack very soon take a shake shot all right
let's talk to jamie from jolie yeah how you doing
jamie great how you doing we're doing fantastic and you're
going to t-bone yes uh they're celebrating their 30th anniversary
and A little note, all of the funds from T-Box,

(18:47):
or a good portion of the funds from T-Box, go
to supporting local charities around Chicago. So they are giving
back as you are tossing it back. But, Jamie, are
you ready and do you have a drinking partner ready
to go to T-Box with you?

Speaker 2 (19:02):
Yes, I do.

Speaker 3 (19:03):
Oh, shout them out really quick. Who are you going
to take?

Speaker 1 (19:06):
My boyfriend, Tom.

Speaker 3 (19:07):
Nice.

Speaker 1 (19:08):
Nice.

Speaker 3 (19:08):
Oh, that's going to be a good day.

Speaker 1 (19:10):
You know, one of my favorite things is watching everybody
dress up as elves.

Speaker 3 (19:14):
Or Santa or the reindeer. And they throw candy into
the crowd and there's cereal that they're doing and cereal
beers and all kinds of stuff.

Speaker 1 (19:23):
So much fun, Jamie. So happy for you to enjoy.
You're all set. Everybody else, Head on over to tbox.org
to get that all squared away.

Speaker 3 (19:32):
And while we're talking Christmas.

Speaker 2 (19:34):
Yes.

Speaker 1 (19:34):
Why don't we talk about that Bears Hallmark Christmas movie
that is coming out, Michael.

Speaker 3 (19:41):
Stop with this.

Speaker 1 (19:42):
You got the details?

Speaker 3 (19:43):
I got it. I'll tell you about.

Speaker 2 (19:47):
It next.

Speaker 3 (19:49):
Three out of. those four last night performed at the
halftime show at the Seahawks Stadium there. And we will
play some of the Soundgarden performance with Taylor Momsen and
Mike McCready from Pearl Jam coming up in Rock News.
But right now we got to talk about Hallmark movie.

Speaker 1 (20:03):
Ah, yes.

Speaker 3 (20:04):
Some new news about the Bears Hallmark movie. Hallmark has
just announced that they will use that movie to kick off.
Their holiday run of shows and movies this year.

Speaker 1 (20:15):
I couldn't be more excited for the Chicago Bears, especially
after nine innings of love on the north side with
the Cubs.

Speaker 3 (20:23):
Oh, cinema.

Speaker 1 (20:24):
It's called... Absolute cinema.

Speaker 3 (20:26):
Oh, God. Oh, the name's bad, too. It's called Holiday Touchdown,
a Bears love story. It's so great. Yeah, Ben Johnson's
in it. Colt Comet's in it.

Speaker 2 (20:36):
Yep.

Speaker 3 (20:36):
A number of other people. The two other movies were
focused on the Kansas City Chiefs and Buffalo Bills. They
got them, too.

Speaker 2 (20:41):
Oh.

Speaker 3 (20:44):
The Chiefs have Taylor Swift in it because that would
make sense.

Speaker 1 (20:47):
Let's see.

Speaker 3 (20:47):
A Bears love story is about a Chicago firefighter who
gets the local news to do a story about his
grandmother who will attend her 500th Bears game. Of course,
the love interest is the reporter assigned to the story. Yeah,
so appearances from Ben Johnson, Cole Kmet, Colson Loveland, Mike Singletary,

(21:08):
Dan Hampton, Peanut Tillman in there, Connie Payton, wife of
Walter Payton. So, I mean, if you're into that sort
of thing, that'd be cool.

Speaker 1 (21:16):
I don't care.

Speaker 3 (21:16):
Hey, hey, hey, don't bury the lead.

Speaker 1 (21:18):
What?

Speaker 3 (21:19):
Staley is also going to be in this movie. Of course.
He's the guy that steals the girl.

Speaker 1 (21:25):
Ha, ha, ha.

Speaker 3 (21:26):
He's so good. He actually loves furries. He's at the
stadium and he's just locking big cartoon eyes with her.

Speaker 1 (21:35):
Look, here's the thing. We were talking about this a
little while ago, but we definitely want to have Maria
in on this conversation.

Speaker 3 (21:41):
We want to talk about the great.

Speaker 1 (21:42):
Movies that have been featured in Chicago because the list
goes on and on and on. Oh, my God.

Speaker 3 (21:48):
But this one, I don't want to hang my hat
on it.

Speaker 1 (21:51):
I really don't.

Speaker 3 (21:53):
Did you watch the Cubs won nine innings to love?

Speaker 1 (21:55):
I went, I turned on my tick tock. I redownloaded
the app and I went in and the first 10
seconds icked me out. Like I couldn't do it. I
might try to watch a full episode, but it's also interesting.
I was watching the views count. People are watching at
random rates. It's not like all the views match up
and it drops off towards the end. like one of

(22:18):
the middle episode has a ton of views.

Speaker 3 (22:20):
I forgot there are multiple episodes.

Speaker 1 (22:21):
There's 17 episodes in this series. I don't know how
long they are. I'm probably not going to find out.
But I was like, I can't do this. I'm going
to have to be high and drunk with a full
belly of food to sit back and watch that. And
I might have to cast it to my TV too.

Speaker 3 (22:35):
Well, get ready. October 17th, Hallmark kicks off their countdown
to Christmas with the premiere of Holiday Touchdown, a Bears
love story. Way too soon to be kicking off Christmas.
I meant to tell you to put on some Christmas
music for this story, but now we're too late.

Speaker 2 (22:50):
Aren't we?

Speaker 3 (22:50):
Nope.

Speaker 1 (22:51):
I was about to bring it up, and then I said, no,
absolutely not. I'll tell you this morning, I got greeted
to a very excited Michael who informed me that Sidney
Sweeney has a new commercial.

Speaker 3 (23:05):
Oh, I got to put up our reaction video. If
you haven't watched the commercial. Holy crap.

Speaker 1 (23:10):
Go do it and be ready to text and or
chat with us next on Rock 95.

Speaker 3 (23:17):
Sydney, Sydney Sweeney. I mean, if you were on the
Internet yesterday and you're a sports fan, you may have
come in contact with an advertisement that has the lovely
Sydney Sweeney appearing essentially naked. And using sports gear to
cover herself, two footballs for her chest in one of
the shots, which is the most unbelievable one that made

(23:37):
my jaw hit the floor. She is perched on a
basketball hoop, a regular basket. She's sitting on a basketball
hoop completely naked. I mean, so I miss this. Somehow
I had, I had champions league and then it was football.
And then I had some work that I was doing.
So I didn't see this good news for you.

Speaker 1 (23:57):
So I come into the studio this morning and Michael's like,
Hey Maris.

Speaker 3 (24:02):
What's up?

Speaker 1 (24:03):
Did you see it? And I was like, no, what? Oh,
Oh goodness gracious. What happened? I, And it's for a
gambling app called Novig.

Speaker 2 (24:12):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (24:14):
Because that's exactly what we needed more of.

Speaker 3 (24:16):
And I guess somebody in our YouTube chat, we're live
on YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, all that, said that she's a
part owner in the company. So she's like, oh, we
need a little attention for this company. I got you.
It's a good marketing move. And I mentioned to you
off air. If Sidney Sweeney is even remotely a sports
fan in any way, shape, or form, this is the

(24:38):
easiest thing for her to sell.

Speaker 2 (24:39):
100%.

Speaker 3 (24:39):
Are you kidding?

Speaker 1 (24:41):
And we did capture some audio from this very visual
video from the.

Speaker 3 (24:47):
I don't even know how to call the acting in
this video, but here you go. Sports. Sports.

Speaker 1 (24:53):
Sports.

Speaker 3 (24:53):
Sports. Sports.

Speaker 1 (24:54):
Sports.

Speaker 2 (24:55):
Sports.

Speaker 1 (24:55):
Sports. Dynamic.

Speaker 3 (24:59):
Dynamic. Boom, bang, bing, bong. That's all we need. And
we're good to go. I put the link in all
the chats here.

Speaker 1 (25:07):
On our socials.

Speaker 3 (25:08):
Yeah, I'll put the video up on our socials.

Speaker 1 (25:10):
Yeah, because Michael also.
Knew what the video was, and I got my reaction
watching this one.

Speaker 3 (25:17):
When Maris said he didn't watch it, I was like,
hang on, let me turn the camera on so that
we can get your reaction. So we watched it together,
and I'll put that up. And I'll be very blunt.
It's the most Sidney Sweeney thing I've ever seen.

Speaker 1 (25:27):
It is. It is just straight Sidney Sweeney. No questions
about it. Have you seen it yourself? What do you
think about it?

Speaker 2 (25:33):
844-955-9550.

Speaker 3 (25:33):
Or....

Speaker 1 (25:36):
Go find it and report back to us. We want
to hear what you think about the app.

Speaker 3 (25:40):
AgroBurson says, cinema, no notes. Ten out of ten.

Speaker 1 (25:46):
Do you watch the four-hour movie, too?

Speaker 3 (25:49):
Well, I just put it on. Yeah.

Speaker 2 (25:50):
Yes.

Speaker 3 (25:51):
Yep. Yep.

Speaker 2 (25:52):
Yep. Yep.

Speaker 3 (25:53):
Long as you want.

Speaker 1 (25:55):
Thanks for joining us on this beautiful Thursday on Rock 95.5.
We are the Morning Mosh Pit. I'm Maris.

Speaker 3 (26:02):
I'm Michael. And we got Pat McGann on the line. Pat,
how are you doing today? I am good.

Speaker 2 (26:08):
Good morning, guys.

Speaker 1 (26:09):
What's up, guys?

Speaker 3 (26:10):
Yeah, we're doing fantastic. Early in Vegas today.

Speaker 2 (26:13):
Yeah. Wish I could be there Yeah I'm out in
Vegas It's a Little early Just getting going here I
should have just stayed up.

Speaker 3 (26:20):
Yeah seriously What hotel are you at? I'm at the
Bellagio Okay Bellagio's nice Yeah Very nice Favorite place to
Favorite place to eat in Vegas?

Speaker 2 (26:31):
Oh, man, that's a great question. There's a place called
The Vets down at, where is that, the park? I
like the Wynn a lot, because Sebastian and I opened
for him there quite a bit. The Wynn has got
some great spots. But yeah, I haven't been to Bellagio
for a while. I didn't realize they put a data center.

Speaker 3 (26:52):
In the fountain. Hey, question. When you're opening for Sebastian
Maniscalco and you're staying at the Wynn, how do they
treat the celebrities and performers and stuff there? Do they
comp your room? Do you get, like, is there perks?

Speaker 2 (27:08):
Yeah, I mean, they do take care of you.

Speaker 3 (27:10):
I mean, you get a room and.

Speaker 2 (27:13):
Maybe a little bit of a dining lounge.

Speaker 3 (27:15):
Okay. Yeah, I was wondering if they gave you money
to gamble or anything like that. Of course.

Speaker 2 (27:19):
No, but I wish, man.

Speaker 1 (27:21):
Awesome.

Speaker 3 (27:22):
You might get an easy to cook loan.

Speaker 2 (27:23):
Yeah. I used to work by Garrett's Club, which is
a great club. It's still still running. They're open every night.
That's at MGM. And they they give you a employee card.
So then you eat in the employee cafeteria.

Speaker 1 (27:40):
Wow.

Speaker 3 (27:41):
I'm in on that.

Speaker 1 (27:42):
And I'm all about food every time I go to Vegas.
I try to get to those buffets. that have a
little bit of everything. I went and I'm pretty sure
I had a lobster claw, steak, lollipop, lamb chop. And
I just, I ate all the most expensive meats I
wasn't ever going to touch the rest of my life.

Speaker 3 (27:59):
In one place?

Speaker 2 (28:00):
Yeah. You know, after we went with the iHeart podcast,
expense account for our like happy hour oh i still
got expense that completely i completely believe everything you.

Speaker 3 (28:12):
Just said darn right.

Speaker 2 (28:15):
The way you went after that seafood tower.

Speaker 3 (28:17):
So funny pat just leaves and he's like so what's
the deal can we grab a few drinks or something
we're like pat you don't understand we're getting dinner baby
let's go.

Speaker 1 (28:24):
We're we're absolutely always in game to uh enjoy ourselves
Are you a big gambler while you're in Vegas or
do you just kind of just enjoy the settings?

Speaker 2 (28:36):
Yeah, I just enjoy the settings. I just wander around.
I used to play craps. I don't really gamble much anymore.
It used to be more of a novelty when I
come out here, you know, you put something on the
White Sox or, you know, the bear season just started
and put something on them.

Speaker 1 (28:49):
Yeah. But now you can do that at home.

Speaker 2 (28:51):
You can do it in your bed and your phone. Right.

Speaker 1 (28:54):
So it's a different ballgame, I guess. Yeah, you can
even do it on Sidney Sweeney's new gambling app.

Speaker 3 (28:59):
Yeah, my God.

Speaker 1 (29:00):
Commercial debuted yesterday. We were talking about it just a
second ago. You saw clips of it. Are you going
to download the app there, Pat?

Speaker 2 (29:10):
I'm not going to download the app. I might watch
a commercial again.

Speaker 3 (29:14):
There's a specific basketball scene in there, Pat. And had
you seen that, you would have been like, oh, yeah,
I've seen it. I've definitely seen it. where she's like
sitting on top of a basketball hoop and she's just
completely naked. It's incredible. Yeah, what a beautiful woman. Speaking
of games, by the way, big game coming up this weekend,
big game tonight, big game last night. Did you watch

(29:36):
the game last night?

Speaker 2 (29:36):
I did not. That was kind of like I had a.
to walk through for this gig I'm doing. It was
kind of like I got to catch up on everything.
I know they were in Australia, right?

Speaker 3 (29:47):
No, tonight.

Speaker 1 (29:48):
Australia's tonight.

Speaker 2 (29:49):
Well, tonight's Australia.

Speaker 3 (29:51):
Yeah. Last night they were in Seahawks. Yeah, Patriots and
Seahawks was last night. Yep.

Speaker 2 (29:58):
That's the rematch.

Speaker 1 (29:59):
Yeah, the big rematch, Patriots barely got out of that one.
I was expecting them to play a little bit better,
but Sam Darnold got hurt on the first drive. So
that kind of messed things up, especially for a lot
of fantasy owners. But Sunday, obviously, we've got Bears kicking
off against Carolina. What are your expectations for this game?

(30:20):
How do you think the Bears are going to fare
against Carolina?

Speaker 2 (30:24):
I mean, I'm getting, I'm starting up to this whole
thing and get going here. I mean, it's a, it's
a win, right? That's a couple of opening season win.
And I'm just kind of like a little worried. There's
some schedules left off of this year. I think the
team's probably.

Speaker 3 (30:39):
Better, but everybody's also coming for.

Speaker 2 (30:44):
Us for a long time, you know? Yeah. They're not
sneaking up on them. And then they had all these
like Seven comeback wins, like horseshoe victories. I don't know
how many you're going to see that again, but I'm optimistic.

Speaker 1 (30:57):
Yeah, I think the Bears get 10 plus wins this
season and they find themselves into the playoffs. We'll see
how the rest of the NFC North really fares out.
But yeah, I think there's a lot of positive optimism
around the Bears as Michael is wearing his vested hoodie
this morning.

Speaker 3 (31:15):
Yep, I got all the rivalry gear. Looking very Ditka-esque
this day.

Speaker 1 (31:19):
Do you have any iconic stories from just being over
at Soldier or any big moments that you got to
experience with the Bears?

Speaker 2 (31:27):
No, not a ton. It's tough to get to the games.
My big relationship with the soldier field was doing a
comedy show there in the Cadillac.

Speaker 3 (31:39):
Club years ago.

Speaker 1 (31:41):
Yeah. How was that?

Speaker 2 (31:43):
It was, um, you know, the chance to meet some
people like with the organization and I hate to plug
my podcast here, but I just had Pat Manley on
my podcast.

Speaker 3 (31:53):
Oh, cool.

Speaker 2 (31:54):
And he's, he's like the all time being slayed as
a Chicago bear. He was on the bears for 16 seasons.

Speaker 3 (32:02):
Wow. That's incredible. Yeah.

Speaker 2 (32:04):
This dude was the long snapper from 1998 to 2013.
I don't think he ever had one ad snap. Like
this guy's a 2200 or 2300 career long snaps. I
don't think he ever flubbed one. Um, so it was
kind of cool to get his perspective. He thinks that
they are going to be, um, I think also said

(32:27):
about 10 wins.

Speaker 3 (32:27):
Um, Oh, that'd be great.

Speaker 2 (32:31):
Yeah. But they're, um, they're going to be, like you said,
they're not going to sneak up on anybody.

Speaker 1 (32:36):
No, no. You know what you're getting when you get
the Bears this time, and you either got to get
way ahead or you're going to be in for a dogfight.
And talking about Patrick Manley, long snapper, if your son's
playing football, teach him to snap with longevity right there.
That's easy money, especially when you get to the NFL level.

Speaker 3 (32:56):
Or a kicker. Uh, let's see here. Uh, somebody in
our YouTube chat said, Oh, Hey guys, thanks for talking
about the Sydney Sweeney ad. I just watched it. It
is definitely thirst today.

Speaker 1 (33:08):
Very accurate. All right. So you had, uh, Patrick Manley
on the podcast. Uh, who do you have coming up next?
So a special guest are you working on?

Speaker 2 (33:21):
We have Ben Bradley, who's the anchor at WGN News.
Love that. And then I also have Jeff Morrow, who is,
he's actually coming back to the show.

Speaker 3 (33:31):
He's been on before.

Speaker 2 (33:32):
And I don't know if you guys are, you watch
the Food Network much?

Speaker 3 (33:35):
You know Jeff? Yeah, definitely. Absolutely. He's a Chicago, big
time Chicago chef, right?

Speaker 2 (33:40):
Big time, yeah. And such a good dude. He actually
just launched some pizzas that he's selling at Soul Foods.
They're frozen pizzas. Oh, really? Yeah.

Speaker 3 (33:50):
I'm looking at it right now, actually. Yeah, I'm going
to have to go to the grocery store this weekend.

Speaker 2 (33:54):
You guys, I'm serious. Grandma.

Speaker 1 (33:57):
Oh, they look great.

Speaker 2 (33:58):
They do not taste frozen. They got some kind of
special crust.

Speaker 1 (34:02):
Yeah, Roman.

Speaker 3 (34:02):
It says Roman-style frozen pizzas available at Whole Foods.

Speaker 2 (34:06):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (34:06):
I love that. Well, Pat, always a pleasure, man.

Speaker 1 (34:10):
Enjoy yourself while you're in Vegas, and we look forward
to seeing you real soon.

Speaker 2 (34:14):
Appreciate you guys. Enjoy the game this weekend. And I'm
looking forward to seeing you guys next week.

Speaker 3 (34:18):
Sounds good, buddy.

Speaker 1 (34:19):
All right.

Speaker 2 (34:20):
Later.

Speaker 1 (34:21):
Pat McGann, as always, on Rock 95.5 and on the way.
More sports, as it is Thursday. We are in the
middle of Bro Week 2026. Maria is on vacation, which
means we get to talk about this a whole lot more.

Speaker 2 (34:36):
Sports. Sports.

Speaker 1 (34:38):
Sports.

Speaker 3 (34:38):
Sports.

Speaker 1 (34:39):
Sports. Sports.

Speaker 3 (34:40):
Sports. Sports. That has to be our new opening for sports.
The Sydney Sweeney commercial. That's killer. I like it. Uh,
what's not killer is the Cubs got swept. Um, buddy
of mine said he was, uh, sitting at the airport
and a guy walked by him in a brewer's hat
and just laughed. He's like, I F and hate it.

Speaker 1 (34:59):
Boy, that's, that's real bold of the brewers who have
this amazing team and can't win in the playoffs.

Speaker 3 (35:04):
Milwaukee.

Speaker 1 (35:05):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (35:05):
Milwaukee jumped out six, nothing after two innings. Of course
they had, um, his Roski out on the mound. He
did well as usual. Um, Yeah, another bad series there
for the Cubbies. Off today, Friday versus the Pirates at
Wrigley Game Time 120, of course. Also a notable thing,
Shota Imanaga going on the IL, 15-day IL.

Speaker 1 (35:23):
Oh, wow.

Speaker 3 (35:24):
Which means someone retweeted it and said, congrats on your
first MVP, PCA. Because they're neck and neck. So if
Shota doesn't play for two weeks.

Speaker 1 (35:33):
Yeah, yeah. That's probably a strong possibility there.

Speaker 3 (35:36):
And by the way, PCA deserves that. What a season
for that guy.

Speaker 1 (35:38):
He's been playing really good.

Speaker 3 (35:40):
It's just a shame that we couldn't find, I don't know,
a pitcher! Not a belly itcher!

Speaker 1 (35:45):
You'll have... Shut up.

Speaker 3 (35:46):
The Sox.

Speaker 1 (35:50):
When they need to win, they didn't against the pirates.
And now the pirates are coming in, uh, town, uh,
for the, uh, cubbies there.

Speaker 3 (35:57):
Yeah. Seven losses in their last 10 games. Uh, not
the way to roll into the playoffs at all. No
back in action against the pirates tonight. Game time, six 40.

Speaker 1 (36:05):
Uh, then, uh, yeah, we already touched on it, but the, uh,
Wednesday night football game saw the Seahawks win, uh, not
a big scoring game as anybody expected, but we did
see Sam, uh, Sam Darnold.

Speaker 3 (36:20):
Thank you.

Speaker 2 (36:20):
Wow.

Speaker 3 (36:21):
Why did I blank on that? Sam Darnold got hurt
early in the game. A.J. Brown also got an injury.
And then we saw the game get wrapped.

Speaker 1 (36:28):
Up basically with an interception from Drake May at the
end of the game. See the Seahawks winning tonight. You've
got San Francisco and the L.A. Rams who are technically
the home team as they're playing in Australia. We'll see
whose gamble paid off as far as travel goes. The
49ers have been in Australia for a little while. The
Rams just got there, I want to say, yesterday.

Speaker 3 (36:51):
Send us a text. How do you think that'll work?
We'll read them in text time. 844-955-9550. Also at that
game last night. Cool to see. Soundgarden. We'll play some
of that coming up in Rock News. And then Mike
McCready opening the game with the guitar version of the
Star Spangled Banner, which I love.

Speaker 1 (37:05):
Nice. And then finally, we got a tie over at
Soldier Field or Draw. Some people call it. I would
enter Miami in town with the goat himself, Messi. But
we got our own goat. His name is Lewandowski. And
he scored very early. A beautiful volley into the back
Speaker 1>of the net.
Speaker 1>

(37:27):

Speaker 1>
Speaker 3>

Speaker 3 (37:41):
NFL season is here, Maris.

Speaker 1 (37:44):
Indeed.

Speaker 3 (37:44):
The leaves are starting to change.

Speaker 1 (37:47):
Oh, no.

Speaker 3 (37:48):
A little bit.

Speaker 1 (37:49):
No, like, yeah, I know. Don't pump, don't speed us through.
The season's too fast.

Speaker 3 (37:54):
Bro Week 2026.

Speaker 1 (37:55):
Yes, sir.

Speaker 3 (37:56):
Sydney Sweeney waited to release her commercial until Bro Week 2026.
You can see that on her Instagram. We were in
communication about that.

Speaker 2 (38:02):
Oh, you were?

Speaker 3 (38:03):
Okay, good. I forgot you guys were friends. Time to
rock out, actually, as we got a brand new song
from Slipknot. They dropped a surprise song last night called Arsenal.
It marks their first new work since adding drummer Eloy
Casagrande to the band and more recently parting ways with
longtime turntablist Sid Wilson and splitting up with the keyboardist
Craig Jones. Let's hear a little Arsenal.

Speaker 1 (38:54):
I'm in.

Speaker 3 (38:54):
Boy, they really, those, for kick and sit out, those
turntables are really prominent, aren't they? I wonder if this
is one of these things where, because there's a beef
between them now, if they're like, let's just put out
a song, let them know.

Speaker 1 (39:05):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (39:06):
It's okay. It's fine.

Speaker 1 (39:07):
I mean, it's Slipknot.

Speaker 3 (39:08):
It's busy.

Speaker 1 (39:08):
Yeah, I'm not going to complain about new music from Slipknot, ever. Yeah.

Speaker 3 (39:12):
Absolutely. The new era of Slipknot, it says here, starts
off with a pure crusher. The song opens with a
spoken word. I hope no bad people show up, which
is a nod to BC Boy's Fight for Your Right video.
I like that. Interesting.

Speaker 1 (39:24):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (39:25):
Midway into the song, things break down a bit, leaving
room for the song to reset uh and have a
steady heavy build to the end which i really like it.

Speaker 1 (39:32):
When they do that with music so yeah i'll have
to go and put that on my playlist for my
ride home today.

Speaker 3 (39:37):
Uh they say the new album they're working on is
uh what they're doing right now they're jamming uh and
clowns arranging it he's taking things that eloy and i
are playing uh or me and eloy and michael are
playing and he's even sitting on the jam. So it
sounds like this is just sort of a big cauldron
of music and beats and all that stuff. And eventually
we'll have a great new Slipknot album. I don't hate it.

(39:58):
I'm here for it.

Speaker 1 (39:59):
Yeah. Let's get it.

Speaker 3 (40:00):
Awesome. A Rock 95.5 Chicago's Rock Station. Broadcasting live everywhere
on your radio. We're on YouTube live video, Facebook, Instagram X.
It's time for a little rock news, shall we? Let's
jump right into it here. A big, big game last night.
It's very exciting. Things happen there. Of course, we saw
Mike McCready on the broadcast opening the game with the

(40:22):
national anthem on his guitar. Great national anthem, by the way.
I've seen him do that live before.

Speaker 1 (40:26):
It's beautiful.

Speaker 3 (40:27):
Yeah. When he hits those high notes. I mean, it's great.

Speaker 1 (40:29):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (40:30):
But then and I was really disappointed that they didn't
show the Soundgarden concert with Taylor Momsen on the broadcast.

Speaker 1 (40:37):
I would say they didn't pay for it.

Speaker 3 (40:41):
Oh, interesting. Soundgarden's like, well.

Speaker 1 (40:44):
Yeah, you can do the halftime show, but we're not
going to be able to push you out there.

Speaker 3 (40:49):
Well, we did have somebody at the stadium who was
doing a little recording, and we got our best audio
we could find on this thing, and here's what it
sounded like.

Speaker 1 (40:56):
She sounds good. Yeah.

Speaker 2 (41:12):
Pretty good.

Speaker 1 (41:12):
Yeah, this this was going to be hard because there's
nobody in front of them performing. So like the closest
you're going to get is somebody who's actively 50 yards away.
But they sounded.

Speaker 3 (41:23):
I was watching Mike McCready. Everybody else was pretty still.
Mike McCready was rocking out. And I was thinking, Mike's
done so many arenas that what he knows is that
even though there's no one right around him in front,
they're up on the screens. Everybody else is rocking out
throughout the stadium. So you've got to think about the
other people.

Speaker 1 (41:40):
They did a disservice on the stage that they rolled
out for them. It is the smallest flatbed. It was ridiculous.
If you're going to roll somebody out, roll them out.

Speaker 3 (41:52):
This is Soundgarden and Pearl Jam. In Seattle. On the
field at the opening. You could have done better, NFL.

Speaker 1 (42:00):
The Super Bowl banner got unveiled today. Put a little
more respect on the halftime show. But happy, I will
say this, I'm very happy that the NFL is back
into rock right now.

Speaker 3 (42:11):
Yeah, for sure.

Speaker 1 (42:12):
Because they have The Warning, who's one of the top
bands right now. They're performing on the halftime show at
the Mexico game. Maybe we get a rock halftime show.
Where's the Super Bowl halftime show? Where's the Super Bowl
at this year?

Speaker 3 (42:26):
I don't know. Because I remember last year, everybody was like,
it would have been so perfect to have Metallica play
because it was in Santa Clara.

Speaker 1 (42:31):
Let's see. Super Bowl 2027. I said so far. It's
in Englewood, Cali.

Speaker 3 (42:37):
Okay. Interesting.

Speaker 2 (42:39):
Okay.

Speaker 3 (42:40):
And one more thing real quick. Josh Homie explains why
he'd never want the Queens of Stone Age to go
on headline stadium shows. He said that, of course, they're
out with the Foo Fighters right now and that blow
up in Detroit where he was yelling about getting charged.
He said he just wants to be in a venue.
He'd rather play small venues two or three times than
play a big arena because he just wants to be
there and have fun with the crowd versus all the
crap that comes with it.

Speaker 1 (43:00):
I like intimate shows. I will say I love intimate shows.

Speaker 3 (43:03):
Also... And I hate to say that. We got to
say this.

Speaker 2 (43:06):
Walt.

Speaker 1 (43:08):
Oh, yes. Let's not forget.

Speaker 3 (43:09):
Walt's band, Stabbing Westward, has re-released their hit album. It's
called Wither Rewired. It is available on all streaming services today.
I was listening to it a little bit last night
when the game was on. And I like what they
did with it. I like the fact that they changed
the sound a little bit, a little more electronic.

Speaker 1 (43:26):
It's fun.

Speaker 3 (43:26):
Go check it out.

Speaker 1 (43:27):
Yeah, definitely. Go give that a stream on our beautiful app,
the iHeartRadio app.

Speaker 3 (43:32):
Go and check that out.

Speaker 1 (43:34):
Support Walt. Support us. And, hey, we'd love to support
you on Rock 95.5.

Speaker 3 (43:40):
Now, here's a bit-only plug with.

Speaker 2 (43:44):
Maris.

Speaker 3 (43:45):
Plug it.

Speaker 1 (43:46):
844-955-9550. It's time for Fun to the Head. This is
a lovely trivia game where you answer questions, we get
shot with Nerf darts, and you can take one of
us hostage to provide you a save if you don't
know the answer to a question. Only two choices. Maria's
on vacation. You got myself and Michael and Up for Grabs.
Three-day passes at Riot Fest. They'll be at Douglas Park
September 18th, 19th, and 20th. Amazing show. 21 Pilots, Alanis Morissette,

(44:12):
Pierce the Veil, Tool.

Speaker 2 (44:14):
Wow.

Speaker 1 (44:14):
So many great bands after that, but I'd be here
forever listing all of them off. But here's the important part.

Speaker 3 (44:20):
We want you to go.

Speaker 1 (44:21):
Darn right.

Speaker 3 (44:22):
So be call or 10. 844-955-9550.

Speaker 1 (44:25):
Michael, what is that number?

Speaker 3 (44:28):
844-955-95. The first answer is triple. Bun to the head
on Rock 95.5. Yeah, don't worry.

Speaker 1 (44:35):
They're using Nerf weapons. Are we speaking with Maureen?

Speaker 3 (44:39):
Good morning.

Speaker 2 (44:40):
How are you today?

Speaker 3 (44:41):
We're doing fantastic. How are you doing today? I'm good.

Speaker 2 (44:45):
Thank you.

Speaker 1 (44:46):
Well, thank you for joining us for fun to the
head today. This is the fun trivia game where you
answer questions. We get shot with Nerf darts. And if
you need a save, we you can take one of
us hostage and we will answer the question for you.
Up for grabs. Three-day passes for Riot Fest over at
Douglas Park. Probably one of the best tickets to wrap
up the summer.

Speaker 3 (45:07):
Maybe the best ticket of the summer, period.

Speaker 2 (45:08):
Yes.

Speaker 3 (45:09):
What a show.

Speaker 2 (45:10):
Totally.

Speaker 3 (45:11):
It's a lot of great bands on there.

Speaker 1 (45:12):
But, Maureen, before we get to these questions, we got
to know, who do you want to take hostage, Michael
or myself? I'm going to take Michael. Okay. I got you.
I got you. All right.

Speaker 3 (45:27):
Here we go with the questions.

Speaker 1 (45:30):
In baseball, what is a hit called when the batter
reaches third base safely?

Speaker 2 (45:38):
I hate to use a save already, but I'll have
to use a save.

Speaker 3 (45:45):
There you go.

Speaker 2 (45:46):
Come on, Michael.

Speaker 3 (45:47):
It's a triple. That's a triple. Well done, Michael.

Speaker 1 (45:53):
Okay. No more saves, Maureen. You got to answer two
more questions right to get the tickets. Question two. What
part of the brain helps control balance and coordination?

Speaker 3 (46:03):
Oh, I wouldn't know this.

Speaker 1 (46:06):
Five.

Speaker 2 (46:07):
What part of the brain.

Speaker 1 (46:11):
Helps control balance and coordination? Five, four, three, two.

Speaker 2 (46:18):
Control center.

Speaker 3 (46:20):
Control center? That's a valid guess. Also wrong. All right.
Right in your chest. That dart. Okay. You got me. Okay.

Speaker 1 (46:29):
Sorry, Michael. That's okay. That's fine.

Speaker 3 (46:31):
Cerebellum.

Speaker 1 (46:32):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (46:32):
You got two more questions here. I'm going to name
my kid. In The Lion King, who is Simba's evil uncle?

Speaker 2 (46:41):
Oh.

Speaker 1 (46:44):
Oh, um.

Speaker 3 (46:45):
Five, four, three, two... Take a guess.

Speaker 1 (46:52):
Scar or something? Oh, my God. Last second, she got it. Wow,
well done. Yes, the answer is Scar. Nice.

Speaker 3 (47:00):
All right, one more right, and you got the tickets
to Riot Fest.

Speaker 1 (47:04):
What Stain song became the biggest mainstream, their biggest mainstream hit,
and begins with the title phrase, It's been a while.
It's been a while.

Speaker 2 (47:14):
It's been a while.

Speaker 1 (47:18):
It's been a while.

Speaker 3 (47:19):
You got it.

Speaker 1 (47:20):
You're going to Riot Fest. Nice job. Marine, congratulations. You
will be at Riot Fest all three days for you
to enjoy. Who are you most excited to see out
at Riot Fest this year?

Speaker 2 (47:40):
Cool.

Speaker 3 (47:41):
Same. When you hear sober startup, it's like 10 o'clock
at night Oh, my God. Yeah, I love them. That's
going to be one that hits in the chest. You know,
I said sober because that's the song most people know.
When you hear Lateralis start. Oh, my goodness. Oh, my God.
You know, Tool has that signature sound, so it just hits. But, yes, Maureen,

(48:06):
you are all set.

Speaker 1 (48:06):
You have a festival friend that's going to be with
you all weekend long.

Speaker 3 (48:11):
Who are you planning on taking with you?

Speaker 1 (48:14):
My best friend, Christy.

Speaker 3 (48:16):
Oh, heck yeah. Girls' Day. Shout out to Christy.

Speaker 1 (48:18):
You guys got three-day passes for Riot Fest coming up
here on September 18th, 19th, and 20th over at Douglas Park.
Everybody run over to RiotFest.org and grab your tickets today.
Not just three-day passes, but two-day and single-day available as well.
Take advantage of that because you do not want to

(48:39):
miss that like you don't want to miss Rage right now.
We are 95 minutes commercial free on AROC 95.5, and
I'm going to shut up and play it.

Speaker 3 (48:49):
We love it when you text us, 844-955-9550. We are
the Morning Mosh Pit. My name is Michael. Maria's on
vacation this week. It is Bro Week 2026. It's a
beautiful Bro Week. Sydney Sweeney decided to drop her beautiful
commercial on us this week.

Speaker 1 (49:06):
Hold on.

Speaker 3 (49:06):
There was absolute cinema that happened.

Speaker 1 (49:09):
Should we play it back for them?

Speaker 3 (49:10):
Yeah, we can. This is from the commercial.

Speaker 1 (49:14):
Sports. Sports. Sports.

Speaker 3 (49:16):
Sports.

Speaker 1 (49:17):
Sports.

Speaker 3 (49:17):
Sports.

Speaker 1 (49:18):
Sports.

Speaker 2 (49:18):
Sports.

Speaker 3 (49:20):
She's got a new, it's not a gambling app. What
is it, a market? Like a prediction app?

Speaker 1 (49:25):
A sports prediction market, something like that. Who gives a
crap what it is? Go watch the commercial. My goodness.

Speaker 3 (49:31):
Oh, my God. I've never wanted to play basketball so
much in my life. All right, let's get to the text.
844-955-9550 from the 630. That's what I'm talking about. Nintendo
is number one.

Speaker 1 (49:42):
Yes, Nintendo just had their big Nintendo Direct moment, showcasing
a lot of the games and new features that are
coming out on.

Speaker 3 (49:48):
The Switch, too.

Speaker 1 (49:49):
I'm an thank you by far yeah for sure uh
eight four from the 847 as a player i would
want at least one day of practice in my new
environment oh we're talking about the the big game tonight
in australia uh also they don't fly with normies like
us they have private first class planes so they don't
need to worry about that that does help but it's

(50:10):
still a trip but you still have to think You're
taking a 53-man team, plus the practice squad, the coaches,
the trainers, everything else that needs to be on site
for game day have to make this trip as well.

Speaker 3 (50:25):
You said they sent everything over in shipping containers.

Speaker 1 (50:27):
Yes, they sent all their equipment over in shipping containers.
All the equipment had to be specially cleaned. So as
not to bring over any soil or dirt or I.

Speaker 3 (50:36):
Always forget about those things.

Speaker 1 (50:38):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (50:38):
Like I always see those airport shows where they're coming
through and they're like, you can't bring that in here.
And they're like, it's just a plant. Yeah.

Speaker 1 (50:44):
Thursday night football is being played in Australia tonight.

Speaker 2 (50:46):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (50:47):
Rams and 49ers from the three, three, one. I was
stopped at a red light. So I watched the. So
as we told you a moment ago, Sydney Sweeney dropped
a commercial yesterday. It's crazy. She's naked through the whole
thing and just incredibly hot. uh so we were telling
people like you got to check this out from the
331 i was stopped at a red light so i
watched the commercial the light turned green mid video i

(51:08):
didn't care finished the video with cars honking behind me
speaking of finishing from the 353 sports sports sports yeah
a lot of balls were shown in that commercial yeah
she's covering herself up with footballs and basketballs yes From
the 708, to be honest, it just doesn't feel like
a thirst day without Maria. But I will suffer along
in my solitude with my Carolina Reaper skillet and a

(51:31):
couple shots of horse soldier bourbon.

Speaker 1 (51:33):
I think this is the most I've actually said Thursday
in an entire year.

Speaker 3 (51:36):
And it would be while Maria's gone. Yeah, I haven't
said it hardly once today, I don't think. Thursday!

Speaker 1 (51:43):
Thursday night.

Speaker 3 (51:44):
I was just seeing if she'd pop in the door
or something. Thursday! From the 773 is a morning mosh
pit giving away three-day Riot Fest tickets or am I
waiting for what? Or am I waiting for Walt? Excuse me.

Speaker 1 (51:56):
You did miss that or you sent that earlier in
the show. We just did it in fun to the head.
We're going to do it again in fun to the
head tomorrow as well.

Speaker 3 (52:03):
Yeah. From the 847, good morning, morning, mosh pit. Fred
from Hoffman Estates here. I just wanted to say thanks
for all you do. Oh, and the Slayer concert in
Minnesota was the best show I have been to in
the past five years.

Speaker 2 (52:15):
Oh, wow.

Speaker 3 (52:15):
Just Slayer. Oh, I was thinking Slash for some reason,
because we were talking about... In the chat, or on YouTube,
by the way, we stream live video on YouTube every day,
on and off the air, and we were talking about
what artist would be great to play the halftime show
this year. Oh, for the Super Bowl. I like your
Rage Against the Machine comeback.

Speaker 1 (52:31):
I honestly think, with it being in Cali, Rage Against
the Machine, doing a little comeback moment there, but also
this band.

Speaker 3 (52:39):
By the way, I looked that up. The reason Rage
isn't together anymore is because Zack De La Roca on
that comeback tour blew his Achilles out on stage here
in Chicago. And that caused him to stop. And then, yeah.
That's it. We've done it. Rock 95.5, Chicago's rock station.
Morning Mosh Pit, done for the day. Having an incredible
conversation over here, which we think we're going to take

(53:00):
on the air tomorrow.

Speaker 1 (53:01):
Tomorrow, when you join us, we got on a tangent
of talking about halftime shows. The Super Bowl is going
to be in Cali again over at SoFi. And we
just went down a list of bands who we think
are going to be there.

Speaker 3 (53:14):
And we were questioning who plays this year. They haven't
announced it yet, but top of the list at Polymarket
or whatever is Miley Cyrus. And we're like, well, come on,
let's not do that. We don't need that. Jay-Z high
up on the list there, too. Justin Bieber. But then again,
who would we want?

Speaker 1 (53:29):
It's time to have a rock artist rolled in. But yes,
we want to continue this conversation with you tomorrow. So homework,
we're not going to do this often. Easiest homework you've
ever had. Have your ideas ready to discuss tomorrow on
the show, because... We also got to get ready for
that Bears game on Sunday. Oh, my gosh.

Speaker 3 (53:47):
We're so freaking close. Three days away, baby. Three days
away until Chicago Bears football is back.

Speaker 1 (53:54):
Thankfully, we've got Thursday night football tonight with the 49ers
and Rams playing in Australia. Should be a very interesting game.
We got to hand it over to a man who's
got some exciting news himself, Michael.

Speaker 3 (54:08):
Stabbing Westward. Has re-released their hit album. It's now called
Wither Rewired. They basically had to go in and just
recut the album. And they did it with a few
different techniques and different changes and sound changes. I was
streaming a little bit of it. It sounds absolutely awesome.
So the rock star keyboardist, one of the founding members

(54:29):
of Stabbing Westward, will be right here next. Yes, he's
going to continue 95 minutes commercial free.

Speaker 1 (54:34):
And we're going to leave you with some Limp Bizkit.

Speaker 3 (54:37):
It's break stuff.
