Speaker 1 (00:01):
Hallelujah. Hallelujah. We've made it to Friday. We don't work tomorrow.
Did you like that? I wrote it for you.
Speaker 2 (00:14):
Did you write it for me, Maria?
Speaker 1 (00:16):
I did. Me and Handel.
Speaker 2 (00:19):
Here's the thing. Some of us are preparing for a
three-day weekend. Can't wait.
Speaker 1 (00:24):
Some of us.
Speaker 2 (00:25):
Are preparing for how many days is it?
Speaker 1 (00:30):
Not enough still.
Speaker 2 (00:32):
Nine-day weekend for you.
Speaker 3 (00:35):
Sorry.
Speaker 2 (00:36):
Because she doesn't love you.
Speaker 4 (00:38):
I'm not even going to be in Costa Rica all
nine days, which does feel.
Speaker 1 (00:42):
A bit like I couldn't afford it. But that's a
way from us.
Speaker 2 (00:45):
Okay. And we already have to deal with it. Bro
week is next week.
Speaker 1 (00:51):
I can't wait. Oh, my God. You guys are going
to miss me so much. Sports week.
Speaker 3 (00:56):
Sports.
Speaker 1 (00:56):
NFL kicks off. Yeah, sports.
Speaker 4 (01:00):
This is, by the way, the morning mosh pit.
Speaker 1 (01:02):
My name is Maria Palmer. I'm Maris.
Speaker 5 (01:05):
Yes.
Speaker 1 (01:06):
I'm Mikey. what an opening my mouth was open and
i'm not even okay speaking.
Speaker 2 (01:11):
Of openings oh no all right well are you in
your cloud yeah unfortunately that won't happen again today because
uh the depths need to be plumbed oh.
Speaker 1 (01:20):
Boy all right okay let's get into the clouds now.
Speaker 5 (01:23):
This obsession with clouds cannot be overstated to the cloud
and you can't get.
Speaker 4 (01:27):
It down from the cloud nobody understands the cloud it's
a mystery here's weather I hear cloud one more time.
Speaker 5 (01:34):
Cloud.
Speaker 2 (01:35):
Swamp ass today.
Speaker 1 (01:37):
Say it loud in cloud.
Speaker 6 (01:39):
Your words of the day is swamp ass. A heat
advisory in effect throughout until 10 p.m.
Speaker 2 (01:45):
Tonight. Give me another sweaty night out at Soldier Field.
Speaker 6 (01:47):
Expect a high around 94, but they say the heat
index will get up to 108 today.
Speaker 2 (01:53):
That's how humid it's going to be.
Speaker 1 (01:54):
It's disgusting out right now.
Speaker 7 (01:57):
I know.
Speaker 2 (01:57):
And it's so early still. I didn't hate today's drive
in as bad as yesterday. Yesterday was like two cups
of water in your lungs.
Speaker 1 (02:06):
I don't know.
Speaker 4 (02:06):
Today was pretty bad, too. I walked outside and I
was like, am I in a sauna?
Speaker 6 (02:11):
Tonight, partly cloudy and muggy, low just 78 degrees. And
then the weekend, noticeable cool down starts Saturday. Highs drop
into the upper 70s to lower 80s with lower humidity
and more comfortable air arriving by Sunday.
Speaker 2 (02:23):
Partly sunny both days, though. Weekend sounds good. We got
a new term we need to negotiate here, Maria?
Speaker 4 (02:29):
Yes, you've heard of AI slop. Now get ready for
event slop.
Speaker 1 (02:33):
You don't know it, but you know it. We'll discuss it.
Speaker 4 (02:38):
Due to record inflation, The Fallen is no longer free
and is only available through a subscription plan for $ 8.
Speaker 1 (02:44):
99 a month.
Speaker 4 (02:45):
It's Morning Mosh Pit on Rock 95.5.
Speaker 2 (02:47):
I can help you fall for free, Maria.
Speaker 1 (02:50):
Can you?
Speaker 3 (02:50):
Yep.
Speaker 1 (02:51):
I can help you trip for free. Wow, easy.
Speaker 2 (02:54):
He's trying to get to the weekend here.
Speaker 4 (02:56):
I'm trying to get out into the world and go
meet new people.
Speaker 2 (03:01):
Oh, we've heard that.
Speaker 1 (03:05):
Okay, well, for once, I actually wasn't talking about that. Okay, okay.
Really inappropriate, Mikey. Well, I know. Very offensive of you.
Speaker 2 (03:11):
And you're not married.
Speaker 1 (03:12):
I'm a lady. Right, exactly. I'm not married. I can't wait. Lady?
I'm late.
Speaker 3 (03:18):
Okay.
Speaker 1 (03:18):
Anyway, I'm trying to get out into the world. I
keep trying to go to events.
Speaker 4 (03:22):
Then you go to events and either no one shows
up or when they do, it's still awkward because the
event wasn't made for human to human interaction. It was
made to be photographed on your phone and then posted
on Instagram after the fact.
Speaker 1 (03:35):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (03:35):
And more and more events are like this and they're
calling it event slop.
Speaker 2 (03:40):
Yeah, we've been doing this for a little bit.
Speaker 1 (03:43):
That's our business model. Yeah.
Speaker 2 (03:45):
I mean, it's a it's a way to attract people
in and then you just hide your logo somewhere within
the slop.
Speaker 1 (03:51):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (03:52):
And then it's marketing because they you put them in
front of this beautiful activation and they can't resist it.
So it's free advertising.
Speaker 3 (04:01):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (04:01):
I mean, I take a picture.
Speaker 4 (04:03):
Yeah, but therein lies the issue, though. Like, can't you
do that and also put on a fun event? It's
like they're only doing half the work. That used to
be half of the work of an event was make
sure your logos are there, make sure it looks good
because we care about the business side of things. But
then the other half of the event was make it
fun for the people in attendance.
Speaker 1 (04:21):
Oh, yeah. No, that's I mean, that's what we do.
Speaker 2 (04:23):
When I work with my other family, WGCI, one event
of note is we did like a summer solstice event.
So there was like a sunset event. hosts that we
had and they had activations all around with all of
our logos incorporated and everything and everybody's just mingling and
talking and it was a networking event essentially so it
did what it needed to do but on the other
(04:44):
side of it i've seen it where all they do
is focus heavy on activation it's like going to an
adult arcade essentially yeah uh have you guys ever been
to a place called happy camper pizza no So I
went there in Denver before I came here.
Speaker 1 (04:58):
There's one in Wrigleyville too.
Speaker 6 (04:59):
I think there's one on the West side too, but
the whole place, first of all, it's not, the food's
not that great.
Speaker 1 (05:04):
I don't care.
Speaker 6 (05:04):
They don't advertise with us. It wasn't that great, but
the whole place is set up like that. There is
photo op things. So while you're waiting for your food,
everybody's going over to little photo ops and there's like
the chairs that are hanging from the ceiling that you
can swing in and take pictures, all that kind of stuff.
Whereas I'm like, man, if you were just to focus
on the food, I'd come back. They got me with
the activation stuff, but then I'm not coming back.
Speaker 3 (05:26):
No.
Speaker 2 (05:27):
Absolutely not.
Speaker 6 (05:27):
And also the influencer thing. I mean, I got a
friend who was a bartender. She's like, this doesn't work anymore.
They have all these influencers come in and promote this
thing and nobody shows up.
Speaker 2 (05:38):
Surprise. Well, I think we collectively, we have a thought
of what an influencer is.
Speaker 1 (05:44):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (05:44):
Because they have real influence. Yeah. But if you catch
somebody who's trying to get their business out there, and
my name is Johnny and I have 2,000 followers, and
I might have had a viral video that got 10,000 views,
they might see that as profitable. Business owners who have
no idea what they're doing, yes. That. You catch somebody
(06:05):
like that, everybody's an influencer. Let me show you the
hidden gem that I found on the west side.
Speaker 1 (06:15):
Chicago hidden gems. Yeah, exactly. It's always that voice.
Speaker 2 (06:18):
What are we doing?
Speaker 1 (06:19):
What makes for a good event, Maris, because you're good
at doing this? Good food. Good advertising. Oh, food. Something exclusive.
Speaker 2 (06:25):
You got to give people something that they cannot tangibly buy.
Speaker 3 (06:28):
Yep.
Speaker 1 (06:30):
Smashing pumpkins.
Speaker 4 (06:31):
Chicago lands hometown heroes on Rock 95.5. Chicago's rock station.
And it's the morning mosh pit. Chicago's morning show. And
Chicago boys, what are we doing?
Speaker 2 (06:42):
Sports!
Speaker 1 (06:44):
Mostly Chicago sports.
Speaker 2 (06:46):
What a time.
Speaker 1 (06:47):
Ah, yeah.
Speaker 2 (06:48):
Before you jump in and all your excitement. Shout out
to the Fighting Illini playing on Thursday. Last one before
next week. She'll be gone next week, so we can
say Thursday night football.
Speaker 1 (07:03):
But yeah, they played.
Speaker 8 (07:07):
The second I say it, the phone just starts ringing.
Speaker 2 (07:09):
The Fighting Illini start their season off in great fashion.
Speaker 1 (07:13):
Beating UAB 42-23 at home.
Speaker 2 (07:18):
And if you didn't see the game, there was a
very impressive moment right before halftime.
Speaker 7 (07:26):
Half of this game is coming to its conclusion with
a heave coming here for Kate Houser. He's given everybody
time to run way downfield. And he's got the arm.
This is in the end zone.
Speaker 2 (07:38):
And it is chuckled. And it's caught! It's caught! It's caught!
Speaker 1 (07:44):
Welcome to Illinois, Kate Houser!
Speaker 2 (07:48):
Kate Houser is... U of I's quarterback. Just the hang
time on the ball as he's like, and it's up.
And the wilder part about this is they only rush
one guy on a quarterback. So there's 10 people in
the end zone. Also, that was a Hail Mary, also known,
and I've never called it.
Speaker 1 (08:03):
This, as a heave.
Speaker 2 (08:04):
Oh, my God.
Speaker 1 (08:05):
A heave. Mikey, give us some baseball, baby.
Speaker 6 (08:08):
Cubs split the series with the Brewers, which you can't
ask for too much more than that. I mean, you
could ask for wins, but we'll take it. Cubs beat
the Brewers yesterday 2-1 at Wrigley to split the four-game series.
Peter Armstrong did the heavy lifting to run Homer to
center in the third. It's 39th of the year after
Carson Kelly reached. That was all the offense Chicago needed.
(08:29):
And some very fun things going on last night at Wrigley.
Speaker 2 (08:31):
Oh, yeah.
Speaker 6 (08:32):
Right behind the Cubs dugout. We had Caleb Williams, Caleb Wilson, Mattis,
and who was the other guy you said?
Speaker 1 (08:40):
Cole. He's a musician.
Speaker 2 (08:43):
He's a big music producer in the city. I love
that friendship that they have together and they go out
and support each other.
Speaker 6 (08:52):
You'll probably see the video online today. Pete's standing in
the dugout, basically turns around and waves at them. And
they're all right behind the dugout, you know, pounding on
the top of the dugout.
Speaker 2 (09:00):
It's just an excited group. You got your guys supporting
you while you're at work. It's got to be an
amazing feeling. Yeah, pretty cool.
Speaker 6 (09:06):
Cubs back in action today. They took a quick flight
down to Miami. They're taking on the Marlins. Game time,
6-10 Central Time. And then the White Sox dropped the
series finale in Houston last night, 2-6 Central. They're still
in first place in the AL Central, though, and they
play tonight at home against the Twins. First pitch, 640.
And ladies and gentlemen, this weekend at Wrigley. Don't tell anyone,
(09:31):
but I'm going to sneak up there for a baseball game, Maris.
Speaker 2 (09:33):
I'm going to a baseball game at Wrigley. But they're
not at home, Michael. Where are you going to see?
Speaker 1 (09:38):
It's really college volleyball.
Speaker 2 (09:39):
Oh. The DePaul women take on number one Nebraska.
Speaker 1 (09:42):
Oh, there it is.
Speaker 6 (09:43):
That one's at Wintrust Arena and then Big Ten volleyball
doubleheader at Wrigley Field this weekend.
Speaker 2 (09:48):
Should be fun.
Speaker 4 (09:48):
Yeah.
Speaker 6 (09:48):
25 days until the Blackhawks season opener, 9 days until
the Bears season opener, and 47 days until the Bulls
season opener.
Speaker 2 (09:55):
Let's go. And also, let's get some rock news next, Mike.
Let's do it. ACDC's upcoming show in Toronto might be
in jeopardy. Rock 95.5 Chicago's Rock Station. The Morning Mosh
Pit is on. Speaking of them, they're playing at Notre
Dame tonight. Is it tonight?
Speaker 4 (10:12):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (10:12):
Oh, yeah, it is tonight. I double-checked yesterday. Yeah, big
ACDC show tonight.
Speaker 6 (10:16):
But anyway, they are supposed to play in Toronto, and
Rogers Stadium took significant damage from a severe thunderstorm.
Speaker 2 (10:23):
If you see the photos of this, it's crazy. It's
torn up.
Speaker 6 (10:25):
There is huge sections of seats gone. So I don't
know how you do that, because they're not going to
get it fixed in time. You rope those off and
refund people those seats. You almost got to cancel, because
I don't think the structure is safe.
Speaker 2 (10:37):
Yeah, exactly.
Speaker 1 (10:38):
That's the point. I wish someone would tear up my seat. Oh,
my God!
Speaker 2 (10:42):
Clip that chat uh by the way real quick we
are live video youtube instagram facebook x or twitter whatever

Speaker 1 (11:37):
Hello, my name is Johnny. Well, hello, my name is Johnny.
I like to explain myself, and I like to complain
in vain. Sweet little boy. You need to perform for
my parents when I'm six. Yeah, exactly.
Speaker 2 (11:52):
Let me show you the ways of mine. Okay, I
can give it this part.
Speaker 1 (11:55):
Let me show you the ways of mine. Let me
help you explain your mind.
Speaker 5 (12:01):
When I help you.
Speaker 1 (12:01):
Explain your mind.
Speaker 4 (12:03):
They are so perfectly weird and badass simultaneously.
Speaker 1 (12:07):
I love them so much. Bizarre and awesome.
Speaker 6 (12:10):
And they just keep doing the same. They're like, no,
we are the... You never play that for me, and
I'm going, gee, I can't figure out who the artist is.
Speaker 4 (12:18):
It sounds like, I feel like Angine de Poitrine has
taken a little bit of inspiration here.
Speaker 6 (12:25):
And if you don't know, that's the artist that plays
in polka dot suits, sort of.
Speaker 1 (12:29):
Is it suit guys? Yeah, and they've got weird time signatures.
Speaker 2 (12:32):
And all that.
Speaker 1 (12:33):
It's really cool to listen to. Very cool.
Speaker 6 (12:35):
So check that out streaming now on all platforms. And
for all the rock news and the concert calendar, I'm
just glad I made it through, head over to Rock 955.
Speaker 3 (12:42):
Yay!
Speaker 4 (12:47):
Dating is probably in the best spot it's ever been
for any generation. Everyone's having a really great time. Birth
rates are skyrocketing and we're all more connected than ever.
Speaker 2 (12:58):
Babies, babies, babies.
Speaker 4 (13:01):
And other lies you'll hear on the morning mosh pit.
I have men and women revealing their biggest dating icks.
Speaker 1 (13:08):
Now, if you don't know what an ick is, it's
what it sounds like when it makes you go. Yeah.
Speaker 4 (13:12):
And you don't want to sleep with them anymore. Boys,
what are your dating icks? Do you have any dating icks?
Speaker 1 (13:20):
I don't really.
Speaker 2 (13:20):
I used to get really upset about sharing food.
Speaker 1 (13:23):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (13:24):
But then I got over it. Stabbed their hand. Get
your hand away.
Speaker 1 (13:27):
Get out of my steak.
Speaker 8 (13:28):
Hilarious.
Speaker 2 (13:30):
But yeah, I let that one pass.
Speaker 1 (13:32):
It's fine now.
Speaker 2 (13:34):
I'm just fine with sharing food. But you better remind
me because when I'm hungry, it's facing the plate.
Speaker 1 (13:39):
What if she doesn't like eating?
Speaker 2 (13:42):
What?
Speaker 1 (13:42):
What if she doesn't like eating? Yeah.
Speaker 2 (13:44):
Would that be an ick? Wouldn't be an ick. That's
a plus. What are we talking about? We're trying to
save money here.
Speaker 1 (13:51):
Technically, I get to eat more than in that situation.
Don't you just?
Speaker 2 (13:55):
It's a win for me.
Speaker 6 (13:56):
I'm trying so hard to have something for you here,
and I cannot think of any ick.
Speaker 1 (14:01):
I've never.
Speaker 2 (14:02):
Here, I'll.
Speaker 1 (14:02):
Read what these guys say. Yeah, give me a... And
then you guys.
Speaker 2 (14:04):
Find my pump.
Speaker 4 (14:06):
For men, 29% got the icks. For women who are
way too into taking things like astrology too seriously.
Speaker 2 (14:14):
I don't care.
Speaker 1 (14:14):
Everybody believes weird things.
Speaker 2 (14:15):
Who cares? Some hot astrologers out there.
Speaker 4 (14:19):
Saying annoying things, which is a broad spectrum. Being embarrassed
in public. They don't like when chicks are embarrassed in public.
Speaker 2 (14:28):
But like, what did you do to be embarrassed? Yeah,
and what did I do to embarrass, or wait, what?
Speaker 1 (14:32):
Well, truly, that's the thing.
Speaker 4 (14:34):
I feel like dudes that are bringing this up are
guys that like to prank their girlfriend in public. And
it's like, that was probably funny for the first month.
And you probably think you're cuter than you are. And
you're not pulling that off anymore. 15% of the guys
got the ick from physical appearance. 13% were turned off
by women who came off as too masculine.
Speaker 2 (14:53):
I could get with that. Give me a strong mommy, please.
I like thin, small women.
Speaker 1 (14:59):
Okay.
Speaker 4 (15:00):
And then 10% were annoyed by girls who were more
interested in their addiction to social media and the attention
that comes with it.
Speaker 2 (15:06):
That could be a thing. That was the one in
my head that I was leaning towards. And in this business,
it's unfortunate because it attracts that a little bit. And
I just feel like if you're being performative all the time,
Just be a person with me. Yeah, she sounds terrible.
I'm not talking about you. You can't help it.
Speaker 4 (15:30):
I do think that I still get that judgment. I
think that I still get the like, oh, she's addicted
to social media. It's like, that's actually just my job
when I'm.
Speaker 2 (15:38):
Not in the studio. And you happen to be good
at it. So it looks like you're really addicted.
Speaker 1 (15:43):
Whatever.
Speaker 4 (15:43):
For ladies, far and away the biggest ick was complaining
about their men being too feminine.
Speaker 1 (15:50):
That's 40%. That's a weird one for 2026.
Speaker 2 (15:54):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (15:54):
I think we've crossed the.
Speaker 6 (15:56):
We've regressed a bit. We've almost full circle, though, right?
Because when I was growing up, I'm not masculine by
any means. I mean, for instance, my dad wanted to...
I was the first child. He wanted a man's boy.
Speaker 2 (16:09):
You know, like, let's go cut down some trees and
kill some animals. And I was like, I actually have
a hair appointment in Portland. And dad was like, all right,
we got to have another kid.
Speaker 1 (16:17):
Yeah.
Speaker 6 (16:19):
But yeah, I'm with you. Like, it is an interesting thing.
And some women are really, really into the big muscles
and that masculinity.
Speaker 4 (16:25):
29% of them don't like guys being embarrassing in public.
Speaker 1 (16:32):
Not embarrassed, being embarrassing in public.
Speaker 2 (16:34):
Okay.
Speaker 1 (16:35):
That's one for me.
Speaker 2 (16:35):
That makes sense. I hate that a lot. What, like
if someone rents a boat? And there's a bunch of
kayakers in front of the boat. And the person loudly
says on the boat, wow, these are the same people
that don't know how to walk down a sidewalk.
Speaker 5 (16:49):
Yes.
Speaker 2 (16:50):
And then somebody yells at you on the boat about it.
Speaker 4 (16:52):
I yell at you all the time for being embarrassing
in public.
Speaker 2 (16:55):
I didn't even realize I was talking that loud.
Speaker 1 (16:58):
Yeah, you never do. You yelled off the pontoon. I
didn't yell.
Speaker 2 (17:01):
I was standing on the front of the boat.
Speaker 1 (17:03):
Have I corrected this?
Speaker 2 (17:04):
Yeah, that's true. I still think about that. I'm like, wow,
I gotta be more careful. I didn't realize I was
being an a-hole.
Speaker 4 (17:09):
22% were complaining about guys who say annoying things.
Speaker 1 (17:12):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (17:14):
And then fourth and fifth place were fashion errors and errors, rather,
like wearing jorts and saying misogynistic things.
Speaker 2 (17:22):
It's kind of obvious there. Yeah, no girls are real
fond of that. Yeah. The misogyny.
Speaker 4 (17:27):
And sadly, they'll still keep dating you, though.
Speaker 2 (17:31):
844-955-9550. Is there something that gives you an ick while
you're on a date? Text in. Let us know. We'd
love to hear from you.
Speaker 1 (17:41):
Being nonchalant. I don't like that. Stop pretending that you're
not that into me. That's the whole point of this.
Speaker 6 (17:47):
I got something for you. It was supposed to be huge,
and then it totally flopped.
Speaker 1 (17:51):
Been there. All right.
Speaker 2 (17:55):
Zima on the list here. I got a list of things.
Speaker 1 (17:58):
Wasn't it huge, though?
Speaker 2 (17:59):
I thought it was pretty big and cultural for a moment.
At least it seemed like it was.
Speaker 3 (18:02):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (18:02):
Maybe the joke of it was culturally. I feel like
it was really hyped up, but I wasn't drinking when
Zima came out. I remember Zima came back in my mid-20s,
but I was like, all right, it's too late. I
got a beer palate now.
Speaker 6 (18:17):
Well, in the same vein, Crystal Pepsi was another one
they tried to launch. They've always tried to launch these
stupid sodas.
Speaker 2 (18:23):
When you try to change the original formula for a gimmick,
it just makes everybody angry.
Speaker 1 (18:28):
Well, that's exactly what it is. It's a gimmick.
Speaker 4 (18:30):
Grocery store marketing is always just take up the most
space on the shelves. How many Oreos have you really eaten?
How many different kinds?
Speaker 2 (18:37):
Are you kidding me?
Speaker 1 (18:38):
I've eaten normal. This is like everyone. Wrong person asked.
I've had normal and double stout.
Speaker 3 (18:44):
How many Oreos?
Speaker 2 (18:45):
I love Double Stuff. That is my favorite.
Speaker 4 (18:47):
Think of how many different editions of Oreos come out
every year, multiple times a year.
Speaker 1 (18:53):
Pumpkin ones.
Speaker 2 (18:54):
You've got the fluffy ones. You've got the flavored ones,
the sprinkled ones, the golden ones. Wow, Maris.
Speaker 5 (19:03):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (19:05):
Love me an Oreo. Yeah, for real. Cookie Monster.
Speaker 1 (19:09):
After you pet the donut box yesterday. Nom, nom, nom, nom, nom, nom, nom.
Speaker 6 (19:13):
Those donuts were fine. Things that were supposed to be huge,
but then totally flopped. I got another one for you.
I went and saw a couple of 3d movies, but
I probably wouldn't do it anymore.
Speaker 2 (19:24):
No, I'm done with 3d. It was kind of a hype.
There was, there was like a novelty to it when
the movie was made for 3d. And then all of
the sudden, every movie was made for 3d. And I
was like, no, I don't, I don't need the one
scene where they're like, punching the screen and then that's it.
Speaker 6 (19:38):
And the rest of it, my eyes kind of hurt
or I'm trying to kind of figure it out as
it goes.
Speaker 1 (19:42):
It's doing too much. I don't need all that.
Speaker 6 (19:44):
If you're going to do it, make it VR style.
Until then, keep your little glasses.
Speaker 1 (19:49):
Even though it's video game to me. You know what
I mean? I would want that from a video game.
Speaker 6 (19:53):
I agree with that, too. I really would love them
to get this VR working. Speaking of things that everyone
thought would be enormous... vr it did not really happen
yeah it's been.
Speaker 2 (20:02):
Kind of disappointing not yet anyway it's working out for
me because the vr games for playstation like five dollars
right now what vr do you have the playstation vr
really i didn't even know that was i thought there
was like the face i thought there was a meta
headset i got one day yeah one day you will see.
Speaker 6 (20:19):
Hang out well next week maria's gone we could hang
out uh maybe we could have a party at your
house basically.
Speaker 2 (20:24):
That'd be fun.
Speaker 1 (20:24):
At my house?
Speaker 2 (20:25):
No, no, at Maris' house. Do you want to, like,
stay over for the entire week?
Speaker 1 (20:28):
Sure, yeah, that'd be cool, bro. We could drive in
and work together. That'd be cool, bro. Let's go. You
sons of bitches. No, no, no, you're going to Costa Rica.
Speaker 2 (20:34):
It's fine. See the jealousy building in her eyes.
Speaker 4 (20:36):
Probably going to touch tips and everything.
Speaker 1 (20:38):
Shh, shh, shh.
Speaker 6 (20:39):
Gonna hang out uh more things that were supposed to
be huge but totally flopped uh the segway you ever
ride a segway they're fun yeah i've always wanted to
ride one it's expensive i would never buy one for myself.
Speaker 2 (20:49):
Yeah but uh i think that's where they lost because
it became a tourism thing yeah and not a at
home thing.
Speaker 4 (20:55):
I think that they lost when they made it look
so ridiculously stupid that no one wanted to stand on.
Speaker 1 (21:00):
One in public. Oh my God.
Speaker 2 (21:01):
It looks so dumb.
Speaker 6 (21:03):
Also, I love the videos of like tourists in Hawaii
and they're going down a trail and like one of
them just goes off the side.
Speaker 1 (21:08):
Like just walk.
Speaker 6 (21:11):
A couple more things on the list here. We got
the tattoos that were supposed to fade after like nine months.
Those for a while.
Speaker 1 (21:17):
No, they didn't.
Speaker 4 (21:18):
Right.
Speaker 2 (21:19):
Well, I don't know. It just said it's just go
get a real tattoo. The trend faded. Yeah.
Speaker 6 (21:24):
And curved TVs. I don't even know what the curved
TVs did, Maris.
Speaker 2 (21:30):
It's just an enhanced visual situation, but it wasn't a
big deal. Like some gamers like it. Oh, that'd be
cool for gaming. If you had a PC, some people
like it like that.
Speaker 1 (21:42):
844-955-9550.
Speaker 6 (21:43):
What is something that was supposed to be huge but
totally flopped? We'll read some of these. You can also
text them in. We'll read them in text time.
Speaker 1 (21:49):
Should I name names?
Speaker 5 (21:51):
Now, here's the pit-only plug with Maris.
Speaker 2 (21:57):
Plug it.
Speaker 1 (21:58):
844-955-9550.
Speaker 2 (21:58):
It's time for Pit Happens. This is the lovely game
where we put you in a pituation. And your goal
is not to get kicked out, tossed out, thrown out,
or bounced out. Bye, security. I'm your pit master today,
and we're going over to Wrigley because we got to
be a part of this. There's some very famous people
hanging out at Wrigley, and we got good seats. But
(22:20):
we want you to join us. If you survive this pituation,
you're going to see Black Label Society. That show's coming
up over at Aragon Ballroom on September 12th. Want you
to be there. 844-955-9550. That is the number to call. Michael,
give it to me again. 844-955-95... Nine innings to love?
Speaker 1 (22:47):
Have you watched it? Is it out yet? I think
it comes out today, doesn't it? Oh, he's going to
be the first one to watch it. I hate that! Nah,
you love it.
Speaker 4 (22:56):
No!
Speaker 2 (23:00):
Chicago's very own fallout boy. They, they gotta be about
due for something here pretty soon.
Speaker 1 (23:06):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (23:06):
Quiet for a little while album or something.
Speaker 4 (23:08):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (23:08):
There's going to be something in the works at some point.
I don't know. They might need to chill for a
little bit there. They're getting to be older gentlemen. That's fine.
Speaker 2 (23:16):
I want them to be around for as long as possible,
but more importantly, I want to talk to Sarah from.
How are you doing today, Sarah?
Speaker 1 (23:27):
I'm doing better now that I hear you guys all
say Indiana like that.
Speaker 2 (23:31):
We're actually petitioning to change the pronunciation in general. Especially
if they end up getting the Bears, we're changing it.
But Sarah, thank you for joining us in Pit Happens Today.
This is our lovely game where you get put in
a situation and your goal is not to get kicked out,
tossed out, thrown out, or bounced out by security. Up
(23:51):
for grabs, black labels, society tickets. Are you ready to
gallivant with us?
Speaker 1 (23:58):
I love gallivanting with you guys. Let's go. All right.
We're heading up to Wrigley.
Speaker 2 (24:03):
I got a tip from Michael that this would be
the game to go to. And lo and behold, Michael
got tickets in the second row. Darn right I did.
Speaker 1 (24:13):
First baseline.
Speaker 2 (24:14):
Yes, sir. We walk into Wrigley. We get our glizzies.
We load them up with all the fixes.
Speaker 1 (24:20):
Oh, my God. Chicago style. And we get to our seats.
And who do we see?
Speaker 2 (24:26):
Mattis Buzellas and Caleb Wilson from the Bulls and Caleb
Williams from the Bears. We are starstruck. Everybody's electric. And
what does PCA do at the plate?
Speaker 1 (24:37):
Just cranks one. Big old home run. And everybody is
cheering along. We're having a great time.
Speaker 2 (24:46):
Put him on the map. We jump in on the
PCA chants and everybody's having a good time. You know
who's not having a good time? The Brewers fans sitting
right behind us. They start booing. Everybody starts chirping. There
is a hot dog thrown at the Brewers way.
Speaker 1 (25:07):
We all avoid it.
Speaker 8 (25:08):
I'm from Milwaukee.
Speaker 1 (25:09):
I'm so cool.
Speaker 2 (25:10):
But this ketchup soaked hot dog hits Caleb Williams in
the back and Sarah They turn around and look at you,
and you're standing there with an empty hot dog wrapper.
Speaker 1 (25:21):
Oh, no. Sarah, what are you doing to get out
of this situation? Asking for an autograph. All right.
Speaker 6 (25:30):
Let's see if that's enough of a distraction while he's
got ketchup and mustard all over his head.
Speaker 2 (25:35):
Probably just mustard with you, Marissa. If Maria was there,
it'd be ketchup.
Speaker 1 (25:38):
All right, here we go.
Speaker 2 (25:40):
20-sided dice. 20's good, 1 is bad. Oh, that's a three.
Speaker 1 (25:44):
Okay.
Speaker 2 (25:45):
So as expected, that deflection did not work very well.
Caleb isn't the most upset, but the people around him
are starting to get a little aggressive. That QB one
for the Bears is standing here with his Cubs jersey,
darned in ketchup and mustard. Maria, what are we doing
to help Sarah get out of this situation?
Speaker 1 (26:07):
Well, I mean, we're at a sports game.
Speaker 4 (26:13):
So what we're going to do is start the wave.
Speaker 2 (26:17):
And people are going to be so distracted by the wave.
Speaker 1 (26:22):
They're going to forget their anger because what a great
group to do activity. Fan the fans. They love the wave.
Everyone loves the wave.
Speaker 2 (26:32):
18.
Speaker 1 (26:32):
Big fan wave.
Speaker 2 (26:34):
Something is different. Son of a... What can I say?
I guess we all caught the wave. I hate the
wave more than anything.
Speaker 1 (26:40):
Jump in.
Speaker 2 (26:42):
The crowd at Wrigley somehow gets entranced by the potential
of being on the Jumbotron.
Speaker 1 (26:51):
Love a good wave.
Speaker 2 (26:52):
With Mattis, Caleb, and Caleb all doing the wave to
support the Cubs at this game and They do kind
of forget that they have that ketchup stain on Caleb Williams.
Speaker 1 (27:04):
But we move on.
Speaker 2 (27:05):
Cubs win against the Brewers, and everybody is saying, Sarah,
you get away with murder because of a wave.
Speaker 1 (27:10):
Good wave. Somehow.
Speaker 2 (27:12):
But, yeah, you're headed to see Black Label Society over
at Aragon Ballroom on September 12th. Who are you planning
on taking with you there, Sarah? My wonderful husband, Nick.
Speaker 1 (27:23):
As you should. As you should.
Speaker 2 (27:25):
I knew that was the answer, but I like to
ask anyway. But, yes, Sarah, you are all set. And
thank you for playing Pit Happens with us. Everybody else,
go on over to Ticketmaster.com. Get your tickets today. All
thanks to our friends at Live Nation. Now, Michael, this
is a wild situation.
Speaker 1 (27:42):
What?
Speaker 2 (27:43):
A gentleman on a roof got down from a roof
because of a twisted tee?
Speaker 1 (27:47):
No, he didn't get down.
Speaker 6 (27:48):
He stayed up and told the cops if they give
him twisted tee that he will come down. So someone
caught on video the cops passing him up twisted tees.
Speaker 1 (27:57):
We got the whole story coming up next.
Speaker 2 (27:59):
It is crazy. And get that creed ready to play
underneath it, I guess.
Speaker 6 (28:09):
Rock 95.5 Chicago's Rock Station. Big fans of Twisted Tea
here at Rock 95.5. This is a cool story out
of Buffalo. Well, it's an interesting story. I think it's cool.
Buffalo police used cans of Twisted Tea to talk a
man down from a rooftop during an incident yesterday. They
were at the corner of Clinton Street and Clare Street
in Buffalo, New York. Officers responded to a man who
had climbed onto a roof and was threatening to jump.
(28:30):
It was just a house, so it was like... They
wasn't going to die. No, but they're going to twist
his ankle, trying to talk him.
Speaker 1 (28:37):
Yeah, you don't.
Speaker 6 (28:37):
And, you know, who needs that? The tactic they used
to get him down was unconventional. He told them that
he wanted a twisted tea. So they ran to the
store and they got some tall boy cans of twisted
tea and were passing it up to this man who
obviously was having a tough time up there. He looked
to be about maybe 45, maybe 50.
Speaker 2 (28:58):
You know, when you get up on a roof and
you threaten to jump, times are tough. You know, he
could have maybe just been divorced. He could have....
Speaker 1 (29:06):
Was it his house?
Speaker 3 (29:08):
No.
Speaker 1 (29:09):
Okay. I'm just wondering why the cops are called. Yeah,
that's not... But that makes sense. Okay, it's not his house.
Speaker 6 (29:16):
Hey, Jeff's on our roof again. You guys can get
him off. They said it was crazy because the scene
went viral. People started circling around the house and stuff.
And then a bunch of fights started breaking out in
the crowds that were watching. I mean, we may need
more Creed.
Speaker 1 (29:30):
Time out. Time out.
Speaker 2 (29:33):
They started fighting, watching the shenanigans.
Speaker 1 (29:36):
I want to be where this is. Where is this?
Speaker 2 (29:39):
Buffalo new york never mind do you know what those
football fans do for fun they dive through tables like
wrestlers same That's fine. I like how the cops are
negotiating and they're like, oh, twisted tea, that's going to
help this situation get better. Maybe he falls off.
Speaker 6 (29:56):
They said that after they gave him the twisty tea,
he just went back over to the other side of
the roof and sat down.
Speaker 1 (30:00):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (30:01):
Started demanding more twisted tea.
Speaker 4 (30:04):
The first person to responsibly enjoy a twisted tea.
Speaker 1 (30:08):
That guy on the roof. Sipping pinky out, one must assume.
Speaker 6 (30:12):
Did he ever come down? He came down. They got
him arrested, yeah. Have you guys ever hang out on
a roof?
Speaker 1 (30:17):
Yeah, it's really cool. Yeah, it is, right?
Speaker 4 (30:19):
Not drinking Twisted, too, though.
Speaker 2 (30:21):
We didn't drink on roofs. That seems dangerous.
Speaker 4 (30:23):
No.
Speaker 2 (30:24):
By hanging out on a roof, do you mean working
on a roof? Because that's what I did.
Speaker 5 (30:28):
Oh, no.
Speaker 2 (30:28):
We were just me and my friends would climb out
the upstairs window.
Speaker 5 (30:31):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (30:31):
Hang out on the roof. We didn't have like a...
flat situations like that around our houses in berkeley i'm.
Speaker 6 (30:36):
Going to test this out today so when you guys
see news out of downtown chicago about someone on a
roof demanding twisted tea yeah understand that i'm just just
running my own test here you.
Speaker 1 (30:44):
Know nobody can throw that high right.
Speaker 2 (30:46):
It depends on the roof nobody can find a very
low roof i'll be on the apple store i'm.
Speaker 4 (30:52):
Going to crawl under someone's porch and i'm not coming
out until they give me a four loco.
Speaker 2 (30:58):
You're just going to be under that porch, sweetheart. Fine.
Speaker 1 (31:01):
I live there now.
Speaker 2 (31:02):
Just roll it under. She just growls every.
Speaker 1 (31:07):
Once in a while. 844-955-9550.
Speaker 2 (31:10):
If you were on a roof and they were trying
to get you down, what drink are you requesting?
Speaker 1 (31:14):
Oh, man. Oh, yeah.
Speaker 2 (31:16):
Think about it.
Speaker 1 (31:17):
Text us.
Speaker 5 (31:18):
844-955-9550.
Speaker 2 (31:18):
Grab the girls in your cups. This morning, I'm on
Rock 95.
Speaker 5 (31:21):
What?
Speaker 1 (31:22):
Just two of them, though. Girls or cops?
Speaker 2 (31:28):
And just one cop.
Speaker 1 (31:29):
Oh, okay, cool.
Speaker 4 (31:31):
Anyway, and what a very human video to have watched.
Speaker 1 (31:35):
Oh, my God.
Speaker 2 (31:36):
We were reminiscing in the studio.
Speaker 1 (31:38):
That's not the word for it. That's not. No. No, no, no.
Speaker 2 (31:40):
Move along.
Speaker 1 (31:42):
Move along. And they, too, are on our side.
Speaker 2 (31:46):
They're not.
Speaker 1 (31:47):
In the human versus robot war.
Speaker 8 (31:50):
News from the front of the inevitable human robot war.
Speaker 1 (31:53):
Early sacrifices.
Speaker 4 (31:56):
Oh, no.
Speaker 1 (31:56):
They've already sacrificed enough.
Speaker 4 (31:58):
A humanoid robot named Scioma appeared to turn on a
customer at an electronics store in Saratov, Russia, after the
man shoved it in the chest.
Speaker 1 (32:08):
Oh, I saw this.
Speaker 5 (32:09):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (32:09):
Can you pull that video up?
Speaker 4 (32:11):
Security video shows the robot refusing a handshake, then throwing
punches and kicks for about two minutes at the customer
as the customer tries to stay out of its way.
Staff members eventually grabbed the machine and And stopped it
before anyone was seriously hurt. Store joked that Scioma was
undergoing an emotional reboot, but the robot's maker, model, and
(32:31):
control system have not been made public.
Speaker 2 (32:34):
It looks like this is, I don't know.
Speaker 1 (32:36):
It looks like just a glitch.
Speaker 2 (32:37):
I feel like, no, I feel like they programmed it
because it goes into like karate stance.
Speaker 3 (32:42):
Yeah.
Speaker 6 (32:42):
And I'm like, okay, so here's what's going to happen.
We're going to fake this video. That's what I thought.
Speaker 2 (32:47):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (32:48):
Well. I could buy that.
Speaker 2 (32:49):
But like, why this soft push thing? I didn't see
all the video. That thing is going nuts. Yeah. He's,
he's really swinging like haymakers over there, but like, why
would you, unless you're doing a demonstration and the guy goes, Hey, Hey,
Give it a little love tap and see what happens, because.
Speaker 1 (33:11):
It didn't seem like a lot. To both of your points.
Speaker 4 (33:15):
In this, they say it's unclear whether the robot reacted
to the shove, was trying to regain its balance, followed
a programmed routine, or was being remotely controlled. Some viewers
have even suggested the whole scene may have been staged
for attention.
Speaker 2 (33:26):
I'm with the staging.
Speaker 6 (33:29):
Yeah, I mean, I can't get past the staging. I
don't think any of these robots are going to have
a default that is when someone touches them that they
go into Jackie Chan mode and beat the crap out
of Chuck Norris mode and beat.
Speaker 2 (33:40):
Everybody to death. I don't think that's a thing. But
that's interesting that they would have that programmed in on
the back end.
Speaker 1 (33:47):
Like, what are you doing?
Speaker 6 (33:47):
Or do they program it, or does it just know
everything because it's a robot and connected?
Speaker 2 (33:52):
It's like the Matrix. Well, it has instant... I think you.
Speaker 6 (33:56):
I think there's certain people in the world already who
are human, quote unquote, that have the chips in their head.
And like, you ever watch some of these people talk
and it looks like their eyes are vibrating. I'm like,
they're accessing more information than a normal brain. At least
that's how it seems anyway. But yeah, it's crazy. It's
got to be programmed, I think.
Speaker 4 (34:13):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (34:14):
Where was this at?
Speaker 3 (34:15):
Russia.
Speaker 2 (34:16):
Oh, program tough. Okay, never mind. They programmed it that way. Exactly.
They got us again. These long winters, we have to
keep ourselves entertained.
Speaker 1 (34:27):
Damn it, Russia. So we can start back in the
human versus robot war.
Speaker 2 (34:30):
That's right. This was news from the front of the
inevitable human robot war. 95.5.
Speaker 1 (34:38):
Nerd alert.
Speaker 2 (34:40):
It's time to dork out.
Speaker 4 (34:42):
Dork.
Speaker 2 (34:43):
It's never too early to talk C2E2. Yeah, seriously. Chicago
Comic and Entertainment Expo moving dates. And tickets go on
sale next week. Next Wednesday, I think, yeah.
Speaker 1 (34:57):
Indubitably.
Speaker 2 (34:57):
Tickets are going on sale next weekend. The date has
moved to April 30th to May 2nd.
Speaker 1 (35:07):
It's back a month. Going to be a little bit
warmer at C2E2. April 30th to May 2nd. Mm-hmm. That's
not a month pushback. That's like three days. April, May.
April 30th.
Speaker 2 (35:18):
Where it normally falls is a month earlier in the year.
So like at the beginning of April or in March.
So that's what.
Speaker 3 (35:28):
Raj. Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh.
Speaker 1 (35:30):
I thought you said you moved it. They moved it
from April 30th to May 2nd. I was like, that's
not a month shift.
Speaker 2 (35:34):
Also, the theme this year is a music festival. That's
wild because I had this in the back of my brain.
There's something missing. With so many artists who are embracing
nerd culture, are nerds themselves, are comic book writers, are
curators of all these things.
Speaker 1 (35:53):
Where's the music side?
Speaker 2 (35:55):
And I feel like C2E2 is there. Michael, you were
the one who pointed this out. They're saying it's going
to be themed after a music festival. So we all
kind of collectively in our heads. got excited about who
could be coming to just be at c2e2 let alone
a performance at c2e2 i mean.
Speaker 1 (36:14):
If maria was right about her pick yesterday that would
be absolutely there's no way in hell i am they're.
Speaker 2 (36:20):
Too big who is it are they who would you
like to see at c2e2.
Speaker 4 (36:24):
Well i said two yesterday i said my chemical romance
because gerard way to the Umbrella Academy, who's obviously a
comic kind of dude. Also, like, all three chairs just
for your revenge. I also said Gwar, because they do
the costumes, they do the special effects.
Speaker 1 (36:39):
It's very nerd.
Speaker 2 (36:40):
That was an interesting take I wouldn't have expected. Michael,
who did you have on your short list? If I was...
I said Coheed and Cambria yesterday. Absolutely.
Speaker 6 (36:49):
Absolutely.
Speaker 2 (36:50):
Absolutely.
Speaker 1 (36:50):
Mars Volta, too, I would put in there.
Speaker 6 (36:52):
Even their songs are like comics, you know, the way
it's all built out. They have all that that goes
with it. Another one that would be cool, I think,
nerd-wise is Weezer. I think that'd be a fun headliner.
Speaker 2 (37:00):
Just fun. Easy to listen to. Out of genre, but
she has done the most for nerd culture most recently.
Speaker 1 (37:10):
Megan Thee Stallion.
Speaker 4 (37:11):
Oh, yeah.
Speaker 2 (37:12):
Interesting.
Speaker 1 (37:12):
She is a huge.
Speaker 2 (37:14):
Huge anime fan.
Speaker 3 (37:16):
Really?
Speaker 2 (37:16):
Oh, I love that. She gets out and she supports
the anime cosplay girl who's like none other.
Speaker 1 (37:22):
That is the hot girl stuff.
Speaker 2 (37:24):
Yeah, very hot girl stuff. And just seeing her immersed
in that environment with everybody else. Because you bring Megan
in and have her judge the cosplay contest.
Speaker 1 (37:36):
That would be insane.
Speaker 2 (37:39):
Nerds Unite. Music festival themed. I want to hear from
you who you think or who you would like to
see at C2E2. As tickets go on sale next week
and again, we're going to get C2E2 in some warm months.
That walk when it's cold out at C2E2, treacherous.
Speaker 6 (37:58):
Belladonna in the YouTube chat says Taylor Momsen's a huge
Marvel fan. The Pretty Reckless would be pretty sick.
Speaker 1 (38:03):
Let's do that. That'd be killer. Let's go.
Speaker 6 (38:05):
Pretty Reckless is right in the wheelhouse for something like that, too.
Not too big, not too small.
Speaker 1 (38:09):
Oh, yeah.
Speaker 2 (38:09):
All right, so Texas, who musically themed would you think
would be great at C2E2 for 2027?
Speaker 4 (38:15):
Those news headlines sure can get you down.
Speaker 1 (38:19):
You're going to do it again, aren't you?
Speaker 3 (38:21):
What?
Speaker 4 (38:22):
Put a positive spin on the news headlines so you
can be both informed and upbeat?
Speaker 1 (38:25):
You're damn right. This is Bad News Bears.
Speaker 4 (38:32):
Man who carried out deadly Minneapolis apartment shooting was investigated
for a handgun in June, officials say.
Speaker 2 (38:40):
Rock on.
Speaker 1 (38:42):
Box investigation there. Investigate these finger guns.
Speaker 5 (38:46):
Pew, pew.
Speaker 1 (38:47):
Let's go.
Speaker 2 (38:48):
Glad you said guns. I think kids get put in
the principal's office for those finger guns these days. You've
got to be careful.
Speaker 3 (38:54):
Pew, pew.
Speaker 1 (38:54):
Soon they're going to make finger drones.
Speaker 2 (38:56):
I don't know how. Those are tiny little guns. Oh, wow.
Speaker 1 (39:02):
I almost forgot. You absolute son of a bitch.
Speaker 2 (39:09):
You were shooting the guns. I was like, let me
bring a weapon to the party.
Speaker 1 (39:12):
844-955-9550.
Speaker 2 (39:14):
Win your first of two chainsaws in free.
Speaker 1 (39:22):
Chainsaw Friday. I'm trying to do my bad news, guys.
We didn't discuss that at all. I missed one earlier.
Speaker 4 (39:33):
I'm nonplussed.
Speaker 1 (39:35):
Okay, let me get myself in a good mood real quick.
Hang on.
Speaker 2 (39:39):
I love this show. There's so much fun here.
Speaker 1 (39:42):
Mikey, please. I'm trying to trying to get to bad news.
Speaker 4 (39:45):
Before five year old's death, parents had a history of
child abuse charges and drugs.
Speaker 2 (39:53):
You don't. You don't say.
Speaker 1 (39:55):
I hate it. I hate it. I hate it. I
hate it. Maybe the kid was antagonizing, you know?
Speaker 3 (40:02):
Nope.
Speaker 1 (40:03):
Nope, nope, nope, nope, nope.
Speaker 4 (40:04):
Woman sentenced to 36 years for murdering fire captain wife
after killing former partner.
Speaker 1 (40:10):
She left a trail of arrest me.
Speaker 2 (40:17):
Yeah. Pattern. That's a pattern.
Speaker 3 (40:19):
Yes.
Speaker 4 (40:20):
I love women in male-dominated fields.
Speaker 1 (40:23):
This was Biat News Beers.
Speaker 2 (40:26):
Let's talk to our man, Chris, from Crown Point.
Speaker 1 (40:31):
What's going on, my man?
Speaker 5 (40:33):
Not much.
Speaker 2 (40:34):
Just working.
Speaker 1 (40:34):
You're just working? What are you working at? Cutting down trees.
Cutting down trees. Well, well, well.
Speaker 2 (40:39):
Well, congratulations, my man.
Speaker 1 (40:42):
We got a prize for you.
Speaker 2 (40:43):
You've won yourself a chainsaw on free. Chainsaw.
Speaker 3 (40:47):
I can definitely use it.
Speaker 1 (40:48):
I want to hear what he's saying.
Speaker 2 (40:50):
He said he could use it.
Speaker 1 (40:52):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (40:53):
Definitely use it. Yeah, you're over in Indiana as well.
Are you still helping with the cleanup that's going on
out there?
Speaker 1 (40:59):
Oh, yeah. What a mess. That's crazy.
Speaker 8 (41:04):
Definitely.
Speaker 2 (41:05):
I mean, we're definitely catching up, bud. Yeah, it's a
lot to get.
Speaker 3 (41:09):
The new chainsaw will definitely come in handy.
Speaker 1 (41:11):
Oh, buddy, you got it. Oh, for sure.
Speaker 2 (41:12):
Absolutely, my man. Well, Chris, congratulations to you, and there
will be one more chainsaw later in the show today.
Make sure you call in for that, but you know
what we got to do right now.
Speaker 1 (41:24):
We just have to enjoy Lincoln Park.
Speaker 2 (41:26):
Okay.
Speaker 1 (41:27):
We have to?
Speaker 2 (41:27):
That's it.
Speaker 3 (41:28):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (41:29):
Enjoy it. Your wish is my command, Corpo Daddy.
Speaker 2 (41:31):
Where should we start?
Speaker 1 (41:32):
Say it again. Tell me to enjoy it again.
Speaker 2 (41:34):
One. We are the Morning Mosh Pit, and thank you
for joining us every day. We got a nice little
mood going on. Three-day weekend coming up. Maria's going to
just be gone for forever. Yeah. But I do want
to shout out Hot Ones.
Speaker 1 (41:47):
Not really, though.
Speaker 2 (41:48):
No, she's gone. She's got a long, extended vacation.
Speaker 1 (41:51):
I'm dying.
Speaker 3 (41:51):
Overdue.
Speaker 2 (41:52):
Getting some rest in. Shout out to Hot Ones. Having
a big moment with Chicago right now. Obviously, Sean Evans
from Chicago. So I'd love to see him toasting back
a lot of love to the city.
Speaker 1 (42:02):
Right?
Speaker 2 (42:03):
Field just had their Hot Ones day. The fans could
get out and actually try the Hot Ones wings while
you're on site. Did you say he's hometown boy, too?
Speaker 1 (42:10):
Yeah, he's from Evanston.
Speaker 2 (42:10):
Yeah, that's pretty cool. So you could try it. I
hope they had the Pepto-Bismol or milk waiting right next
to the wings. Caleb was down in the milk. I
smelled one of those, and it just... But yes, Caleb Williams,
QB1 for... What's wrong with you? Nothing. I said clip that, chat.
(42:32):
He said he smelled one.
Speaker 1 (42:33):
Anyway, forget it. Sorry. A spicy wing, Michael.
Speaker 2 (42:36):
Oh, my goodness. Caleb Williams, QB1 for the Bears, joined
Hot Ones most recently. And here's what he had to
say about coming to Chicago. I didn't think I was
going to like it that much, to be honest.
Speaker 3 (42:50):
And I fell in love with the city of Chicago,
the people, the food, obviously the sports and things like that.
I got a couple of other friends that are playing
in Chicago sports, PCA, Modest, all these other guys. And
then one of my other good friends, Cole, he's also
born and bred from Chicago. And the people, I'd say,
is the biggest thing. I didn't realize that the people
(43:11):
were so hospitable. And then also the Chicago is actually
insanely clean.
Speaker 2 (43:16):
So it's surprising. It surprised me.
Speaker 1 (43:18):
That surprised me. So this is a very interesting statement.
Speaker 2 (43:21):
A few years into his career before he was drafted,
there were rumors going around that he did not want
to play in Chicago and seeing Caleb fully embrace the city.
He's out and about all the time. And as you mentioned,
supporting with the other young sports upstarts, the rookies and
the young guys around the city, it's lovely to see.
(43:42):
Coming from somebody who's lived here most of my life,
I want to hear from you two. As you guys
came to Chicago, what was your initial feelings about moving
to the big city?
Speaker 6 (43:53):
Initially, it was too big for me. I think it
was a shock. I think a lot of people, if
you don't live in a big city like this and
you move to a big city, it's shocking. Now the
things I love truly is, like Caleb said, the cleanliness
of the city.
Speaker 2 (44:05):
I've visited New York and L.A. and stuff, nothing like
what we have here. And also I like being around water.
It's kind of calming. And so we got water all
around us. You can get to a beach in the city.
You know what I mean? Like there's so many kind
of cool things like that here.
Speaker 4 (44:18):
I was pumped when I found out I was coming
to Chicago. That was like a dream come true.
Speaker 1 (44:21):
Okay. So I was stoked.
Speaker 4 (44:24):
The thing that caught me off guard the most was
how much my mental health would be affected by the
long winter. Not even just how cold the winter was,
how long it lasted. But once I got that under control, I.
Speaker 1 (44:38):
Love it here.
Speaker 4 (44:39):
First of all, you're not going to find better food anywhere.
That's my biggest issue whenever I leave Chicago and then
I eat anywhere else.
Speaker 1 (44:45):
I'm like, oh God, I want to go home.
Speaker 2 (44:47):
You're getting spoiled here.
Speaker 1 (44:48):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (44:49):
I like that it's a big city, but it's still affordable.
You can't even try to live in New York.
Speaker 1 (44:55):
Oh, my God, no.
Speaker 4 (44:57):
But you can still some version of reasonably have a
pretty nice place for a fair price here.
Speaker 1 (45:02):
Yeah. Love the lake and that it's swimmable. Yeah. That's
right next to the city. It's insane. We put so
much effort into our parks here.
Speaker 6 (45:10):
Skyline views are incredible. You do not get skylines like
this everywhere. Well, then they film lots of stuff here, too.
We were talking about this a little bit earlier, but
lots of movies and stuff. You remember right outside the
building when they hit the, what's it, Chicago Fire? They
were having some crossover episode.
Speaker 2 (45:26):
Chicago Fire, PD, and I forget what the other one is,
but they're consistently filming.
Speaker 6 (45:30):
A whole movie set right outside the building here. I mean,
it's just such an incredible place.
Speaker 2 (45:34):
The thing I love, because I will do this from
time to time, is I will just walk down Michigan
Avenue without any headphones on. And I'm just taking it
all in. I'm soaking in the beauty of the buildings,
the beauty of the people. We got some beautiful. The
ladies are sexy.
Speaker 1 (45:50):
Yeah, the women are gorgeous.
Speaker 2 (45:52):
But one of the things that I absolutely love is
the many different languages that you will hear as you're
walking down Michigan Avenue. It is just a little bit
of everything here available. So to you, text us. I
want to know, why do you love this city of ours? 844-955-9550.
You can also hit the Walkie Talk back today. That's
(46:16):
the red microphone button on the iHeartRadio app. I just
want to know.
Speaker 5 (46:24):
Now, here's the bit-only plug with Maris.
Speaker 2 (46:29):
Plug it. 844-955-9550. A wheel spin will happen today for
the Wheel of Rock, and we need you. You're going
to play our lovely game. Answer some trivia questions. We
get shot with Nerf darts. And you can take one
of us hostage to provide you a safe. But first,
we need you to join us. 844-955-9550.
Speaker 1 (46:52):
Beat caller 10.
Speaker 2 (46:55):
Left in the wheel of rock slim pickings.
Speaker 5 (46:57):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (46:58):
Stained and breaking Benjamins. Good pickings of the slim.
Speaker 2 (47:02):
I tell you, the quality is very high over here.
Speaker 1 (47:06):
Michael.
Speaker 2 (47:07):
Yes, sir. If you had to pick a show, which
show would you pick? Stained or Breaking Benjamin? I really
like Chevelle, but there's such a lineup on the Stained show. Stained, Hinder, Hoobastank,
Theory of a Dead Man. And is Seether on that
one too? You said Seether, yeah.
Speaker 1 (47:22):
Oh, what I was thinking was... Yeah, I'm going with
The Stained Show, I think.
Speaker 2 (47:26):
Oh, Star Set. Because if I'm going out there, I'm
going to spend the whole day there.
Speaker 1 (47:29):
I'm doing Breaking Benjamin.
Speaker 2 (47:30):
You're doing Breaking Benjamin. I just saw Breaking Benjamin.
Speaker 1 (47:32):
No hesitation. Have you seen him before? Not live.
Speaker 3 (47:35):
I know.
Speaker 1 (47:35):
You have not? No, and the issue is that they're
playing during Riot Fest, so I'm not going to see
them this time either. Oh my goodness.
Speaker 2 (47:42):
I'm not happy about it. All right, let's move into
the game here. Riot Fest or Breaking Benjamin?
Speaker 1 (47:47):
Well, it's got to be Riot Fest. That's not fair.
The lineup is stupid this year.
Speaker 2 (47:51):
We knew the answer to that question.
Speaker 1 (47:53):
In a good way.
Speaker 2 (47:54):
Let's bring our man George from Schaumburg into the room.
Speaker 1 (47:58):
George, how you doing?
Speaker 4 (48:00):
Good, man.
Speaker 5 (48:01):
How you guys doing?
Speaker 1 (48:01):
It's been a while. And you guys don't pick up anymore, man. Whoa, whoa, whoa.
All right. Coming out. Guns a blazing. I missed you guys.
I missed you. We missed you, too. That's better.
Speaker 2 (48:12):
Yeah. I'm excited, guys.
Speaker 1 (48:17):
It's the weekend coming up.
Speaker 2 (48:18):
I'm excited.
Speaker 1 (48:19):
Matt, you doing anything?
Speaker 2 (48:22):
Uh, well, whatever my five-year-old wants to do. You don't know.
When you have a kid, whatever they want to do.
Speaker 1 (48:27):
Back in the day, whatever I wanted to do. Understood,
my man. It was my birthday yesterday, and he chose
to take me to Chuck E.
Speaker 8 (48:33):
Cheese for my birthday.
Speaker 2 (48:34):
Okay, that's freaking awesome.
Speaker 1 (48:36):
Listen, Chuck E. Cheese has booze now.
Speaker 2 (48:37):
I was going to say, that's just a dope five-year-old,
my man. But, George, thanks for joining us on Fun
to the Head. This is the trivia game where you're
going to answer questions. We get shot with Nerf darts,
and you take one of us hostage to provide you
a save. Now, George, first thing you've got to decide
is who do you want to take hostage?
Speaker 1 (48:53):
Myself, Michael, or Maria?
Speaker 6 (48:56):
Oh, I'm going to take Maria today.
Speaker 2 (48:59):
Yes, sir.
Speaker 1 (48:59):
Thank you. George, keep me safe. If you don't know
an answer, ask for the save. I promise I'll keep
you safe.
Speaker 4 (49:06):
Okay, thank you, George.
Speaker 2 (49:07):
There's five questions. You can miss one.
Speaker 5 (49:08):
It's fine.
Speaker 1 (49:08):
George, I trust you. All right. We got this. We
got this.
Speaker 2 (49:12):
All right, curious George. Here we go. Question number one.
Speaker 6 (49:16):
What Looney Tunes character is a black and white skunk
convinced that... every cat he meets is in love with him?
Speaker 4 (49:25):
Pepe Lecoultre.
Speaker 1 (49:26):
You got it.
Speaker 2 (49:28):
I like Dave Chappelle's stand-up about Pepe Lecoultre.
Speaker 1 (49:31):
It's so bad.
Speaker 2 (49:34):
Pepe, what are you doing, boy?
Speaker 6 (49:36):
In basketball, what is the line called that the player
stands behind when shooting a foul shot?
Speaker 8 (49:43):
Free throw line.
Speaker 2 (49:46):
George, just not missing today. One more and you got
the tickets, my man. We got this. Shoot that cow shot.
Speaker 1 (49:55):
Here we go.
Speaker 2 (49:56):
Number three. What is the largest gland in the human body?
The brain?
Speaker 1 (50:03):
No, sir. Hey, remember how I got a save?
Speaker 4 (50:06):
Oh, yeah.
Speaker 2 (50:06):
Hey, hey, ow, hey, ow, hey. Hey, George.
Speaker 3 (50:09):
Yeah, I got to miss one.
Speaker 5 (50:10):
I'm sorry.
Speaker 2 (50:11):
I got to miss one.
Speaker 1 (50:11):
Here's the thing. No, you don't. We got to unload.
The way the game is set up, you actually literally
don't have to do that. He chose what? Yeah, you
chose to do that to me.
Speaker 2 (50:19):
I like the way George picks things.
Speaker 1 (50:20):
After I said I trusted you. The liver is the answer.
Speaker 2 (50:23):
The largest plant.
Speaker 4 (50:25):
Oh, see my liver.
Speaker 1 (50:26):
Oh, you got a liver. I got shot. Hey there, George.
Speaker 2 (50:31):
Let's see here. I'm going to rephrase this a little bit.
Speaker 1 (50:33):
Okay.
Speaker 2 (50:34):
What band is having a 25th anniversary of their album Toxicity?
It came out in 2001 today.
Speaker 1 (50:44):
Oh, system over there. Boom, you got it.
Speaker 2 (50:47):
Thank you.
Speaker 1 (50:50):
Well done, George. I'm impressed. George, I'm not walking away unscathed.
Speaker 2 (50:56):
Sorry.
Speaker 1 (50:57):
Okay, guys, don't shoot her anymore.
Speaker 2 (50:58):
She's safe.
Speaker 1 (50:58):
She's safe.
Speaker 2 (50:59):
It's okay. Hey, we got to switch gears here. We
got a wheel to spin for you. Wheel of rock.
Speaker 1 (51:05):
I'll spin it. I'll spin it. Excited to spin.
Speaker 2 (51:09):
All right, let's get it.
Speaker 4 (51:11):
Twist it!
Speaker 2 (51:12):
Let's get right to it. Grab it and twist! Short
on concerts, plenty of tickets. Let's see what you win here.
Speaker 1 (51:20):
Oh, okay. I like this. Breaking Benjamin live. Hell yeah.
Speaker 2 (51:28):
You're going to see Breaking Benjamin, Chevelle, Star Set, and
Kami Kehoe all at Credit Union One Amphitheater on September 18th.
My man, you are all set. But, George, I do
want to know, who do you plan on taking with
you to the show? Okay.
Speaker 1 (51:47):
Just like Lincoln.
Speaker 2 (51:48):
The wife?
Speaker 1 (51:49):
All right.
Speaker 2 (51:49):
Okay.
Speaker 1 (51:50):
What's the wife's name? Shout out the wife.
Speaker 6 (51:52):
Maria.
Speaker 1 (51:53):
Maria shot him in the back of the head.
Speaker 3 (51:55):
What?
Speaker 1 (51:55):
Okay.
Speaker 2 (51:56):
There's so much happening right now. George, congratulations. You are
going to the show. Everybody else, go ahead and get
those tickets at Ticketmaster.com. All thanks to our friends over
at Live Nation. Right now, specifically, we are 95 minutes
commercial free online. On Rock 95.5. And we're just going
(52:17):
to rock out to Metallica for a little bit.
Speaker 5 (52:19):
Five-ish things you almost certainly need to know.
Speaker 1 (52:22):
It's a hell of a community service. I'll tell you
that much. Things. Here we go.
Speaker 2 (52:28):
Frontier Airlines is offering a $ 249. Oh, you can fly past.
Looking that up right now. You can go from the
fall and the winter. And basically, you just have to
pay a cent and taxes on specific flights for one person.
And you get one personal item included, while checked bags
(52:49):
and larger carry-ons are going to be at extra cost.
Check the fine print. Yes. Oh, check the fine print,
because they're going to have blackout dates all.
Speaker 1 (52:57):
Over the place. I could just get the PTO now.
Speaker 2 (53:00):
Surprise, surprise. CDs are making a huge comeback in 2026. Yeah,
physical media, baby. It's kind of cool. Sales jumped up
58% from last year to $ 171 million. They're getting close
to vinyl, but not as close, and people are calling
it the more affordable version of vinyl. Yeah, edging vinyl.
(53:20):
So get your multiplayer, multimedia player devices out, because that's
what people are going to now. Did you ever have
a disc changer?
Speaker 8 (53:30):
Yep.
Speaker 2 (53:30):
Like a six-disc changer?
Speaker 1 (53:32):
I had a five. I need them to bring back
old-school Windows Media Player now.
Speaker 2 (53:36):
Oh, I think it's still here. It just doesn't give
you the graphics.
Speaker 1 (53:40):
I want the old one.
Speaker 2 (53:41):
Sit there and stare at him.
Speaker 1 (53:42):
I feel like I'm high.
Speaker 2 (53:43):
Dave Bautista has been in the gym as he is
looking to bulk up so that he can be ready
to play Kratos on Prime's God of War series. He
said he needs about two more months to be exactly
where he was. Ryan Hurst, who was originally set to
play Kratos, tore a bicep, so he's going to be fine.
down from filming, but I agree with Maria now. Dave
(54:04):
Bautista will be a good substitute for this.
Speaker 1 (54:07):
Oh, I like that. Say that again.
Speaker 2 (54:09):
There's a lot of pee melting a glacier. And this
is at a base camp in Mount Everest. There are 1,600 tents.
up at this summit or not summit base camp and
what happens when there's a lot of people they got
to use the bathroom and that p is subsequently uh
melting the glacier that is up there and finally no
(54:34):
not right away.
Speaker 1 (54:35):
So mount everest has become the biggest ice trough ever Yes.
Speaker 2 (54:40):
And Cedar Point finally is offering free admission to people
with a variation of their name Fry. They are celebrating
Happy Friars Fresh Cut Fries Fest, September 10th through the 13th.
So if your name is Fry Fries, Friar, Friar, Fried Friedman,
you have Fry adjacent in any of your last name
(55:01):
variations online. You can get in free at Cedar Point.
I don't know if you've been to Cedar Point. Fantastic
amusement park. I have not. It is amazing. Well worth
the drive to Ohio to enjoy that. And that, ladies
and gentlemen, is five things right here. And Michael, you're
going to tell us what's going on around town next.
Speaker 6 (55:18):
Bro, the weekend around Chicago is packed. I'll tell you
all about it next.
Speaker 2 (55:21):
And I'm also going to say this. Within around town,
we're also giving away a chainsaw. So be ready for that.
Speaker 3 (55:27):
Wow.
Speaker 1 (55:28):
Never made it as one.
Speaker 2 (55:30):
Wrapping up already. Rock 95.5 Chicago's Rock Station. I mean,
I swear.
Speaker 1 (55:34):
What are they?
Speaker 8 (55:35):
Sitting in the studio there like, I don't know, man.
Speaker 2 (55:37):
Throw another minute of on and on.
Speaker 1 (55:39):
I hope they apologize for that one.
Speaker 6 (55:44):
What's going on around Chicago this weekend? Lots of great stuff.
Off the air, I guess, we were talking about Snoop
Dogg here in the studio. Well, we were talking about
Mariah Carey in the 90s and how she had a
chokehold on culture.
Speaker 1 (55:54):
A dream lover.
Speaker 6 (55:55):
And at the same time, Snoop's, was it Gin and
Juice came out or something? Yeah, it was incredible. Who
has Mariah Carey's grunge album, by the way?
Speaker 1 (56:04):
I don't think she released it.
Speaker 2 (56:05):
What? No, I'm saying, like, who has it?
Speaker 1 (56:07):
Oh, I don't.
Speaker 2 (56:08):
One band has it, and they just haven't released it.
Speaker 1 (56:11):
I've never heard of this.
Speaker 5 (56:12):
Really?
Speaker 1 (56:12):
Seriously. She recorded a grunge album, like, back in... And
it didn't come out? They wouldn't release... Well, because the
labels were like, this artist needs to be this genre. Oh,
that's stupid. Well, now labels will take more chances. Yeah.
Speaker 2 (56:25):
Yeah, not bad. I can't wait till that one magically appears.
Speaker 1 (56:28):
Yeah, drop it.
Speaker 6 (56:29):
Unfortunately, Mariah's not in town. She's still defrosting this weekend.
Speaker 2 (56:33):
No, no, no. One jump to a season at a time, Michael.
They just turned the heaters on. She's still completely frozen.
Speaker 1 (56:40):
There she is.
Speaker 6 (56:41):
But Snoop Dogg is in town this weekend. Tonight, Rivenia,
Highland Park. Go see S-N-O-O-P-D-O-G-G. Speaking of hip hop.
Speaker 1 (56:50):
I learned a spell.
Speaker 2 (56:50):
You're saying it is so white. You're damn right. Said
the other white person in the room that loves to
make rap references.
Speaker 1 (56:58):
Smoking endo, sipping on gin and juice.
Speaker 2 (57:01):
Pinky up.
Speaker 1 (57:02):
Laid back. Michael, who else is in town this weekend?
Speaker 6 (57:04):
Kanye West playing at Soldier Field tonight. A huge show.
Downtown is going to be crazy. I went down there
and saw a few songs last night and it's wild.
Downtown was fun though. It felt like A summer night
and the city was alive, you know? It was a
summer night. But the cheapest ticket right now, $ 680.
Speaker 2 (57:18):
Yeah.
Speaker 6 (57:19):
Which is crazy. Babymetal and Hailstorm playing tonight. Yeah, right
there at Northerly Island, Huntington Beach Pavilion.
Speaker 3 (57:26):
What?
Speaker 2 (57:27):
Oh, my God. So that's going to make that area
even worse. It's going to be insane over there. Just walk.
Park down the lakefront and walk up the lakefront. Yeah.
Let's see here.
Speaker 6 (57:36):
Hippocampus at Gallagher Way. They're playing down there in Wrigleyville.
Wu-Tang and Bone Thugs. Credit Union won Amphitheater. That's a
killer show.
Speaker 1 (57:44):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (57:45):
Nothing to mess with either. I hate you.
Speaker 1 (57:48):
Come on.
Speaker 4 (57:48):
I hate you.
Speaker 6 (57:53):
There's some good hip hop in town this weekend. Young
Thug at the Aragon Ballroom. And then we got our
big show, Rob Zombie, Marilyn Manson.
Speaker 2 (58:02):
Orgy's on that show, too. I didn't know Orgy was
on there. I love Blue Monday. And by the way,
not the who. When you say the who. I know
it's not the who, but it's like. The H-E-U.
Speaker 1 (58:13):
Yes. The who.
Speaker 2 (58:15):
That's going on Tinley Park tomorrow.
Speaker 4 (58:16):
No.
Speaker 6 (58:18):
Rod Stewart in town at Ravenia tomorrow. Let's see what
else we got. OAR and Gavin DeGraw and KT Tunstall
playing north of the island on Sunday.
Speaker 1 (58:27):
Oh my gosh.
Speaker 6 (58:28):
And then as far as sports, you got the volleyball
tournaments going on. One down at the beach. And then
the other one at Wrigleyville.
Speaker 2 (58:34):
Yeah, the one in Wrigley is Colleges.
Speaker 1 (58:37):
Very cool.
Speaker 2 (58:38):
And then White Sox in town against the Twins at
Rayfield all weekend long. Tonight and tomorrow, game time, 6-10,
and then Sunday, 5-20, first pitch. Interesting.
Speaker 1 (58:50):
K2, Tunstall, Gavin DeGraw, and who else was it? OAR? Yeah.
Can you imagine the sheer number of polo shirts at
that show?
Speaker 2 (58:56):
Yeah, right? Maria, did Michael forget anything here?
Speaker 5 (58:59):
What?
Speaker 2 (58:59):
Going on this weekend. Oh!
Speaker 1 (59:05):
Yes, he did. He did.
Speaker 2 (59:07):
Got some yard work.
Speaker 1 (59:09):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (59:09):
Yes.
Speaker 1 (59:09):
He did.
Speaker 2 (59:11):
Thank you. Appreciate it. You're welcome. Yes, it is Free
Chainsaw Friday, and this is your second chainsaw of our show, 844-955-9550.
You better win this bad boy because it is Free
Chainsaw Friday!
Speaker 4 (59:21):
Yay!
Speaker 6 (59:29):
Did you know that we stream the show live video
on and off the air? Because on the video streams,
we can't play music. So when you hear the microphones
come on and Maria is finishing a sentence, that.
Speaker 1 (59:42):
Would be like 10 seconds means nothing.
Speaker 2 (59:44):
She's also like to listen to you halfway out the.
Speaker 1 (59:47):
Door right now. So checked out. I would say I'm
halfway there living on a prayer. Yeah. Okay.
Speaker 2 (59:52):
Let's do text time.
Speaker 1 (59:53):
Shall we? Good idea.
Speaker 2 (59:55):
Did anybody get sent texts? Somebody else want to start? Yes.
Speaker 1 (01:00:01):
Go ahead. From 502, Cassie here.
Speaker 4 (01:00:03):
I once jabbed my former sister-in-law's hand with a fork
when she tried to take my food off my plate.
Speaker 2 (01:00:07):
Yeah, I've done that before. Yeah, my brother stabbed me
in the face with a fork when I was a kid.
Speaker 1 (01:00:13):
Oh, my God.
Speaker 6 (01:00:14):
I was trying to eat his food. Oh, yeah, Dad
got me in the hand once when I reached across
the table.
Speaker 2 (01:00:19):
708, happy MF and Chainsaw Friday.
Speaker 1 (01:00:26):
Print.
Speaker 2 (01:00:27):
Tow truck can check in. And remember, it's not a saying.
It's a way of life. F the Packers all the time.
Enjoy the holiday weekend.
Speaker 6 (01:00:39):
Let's see here from the 219. Chainsaw Friday. I could
use a new one right about now.
Speaker 2 (01:00:42):
Yeah, we sent one to Injana earlier today.
Speaker 6 (01:00:46):
Mm-hmm.
Speaker 4 (01:00:48):
Joe said, we were talking about the icks people get
when they're dating. The icks, too much attention to their phone,
not really listening, and just waiting for their turn to talk. Also,
I will not stand for this defamation and slander of
the jorts community.
Speaker 1 (01:01:00):
John Cena and I could wear them.
Speaker 2 (01:01:04):
From the 773, I moved into my college dorm with
two cases of Zima and have yet to live it down.
That was in 1994, and I would never tell anybody that.
Speaker 1 (01:01:14):
That's so funny.
Speaker 2 (01:01:15):
What did we ask?
Speaker 6 (01:01:16):
We asked for their drink for something. We said, what
would your drink be if you, do you remember?
Speaker 4 (01:01:20):
No, we were talking about things that were supposed to
be huge and then flopped.
Speaker 1 (01:01:23):
That's right. That's what Zima was. There you go.
Speaker 6 (01:01:25):
Okay, well, this text has no context, so I'll read
it anyway. From the 630, a Long Island iced tea.
The less I remember, the better.
Speaker 1 (01:01:31):
Because we were talking about Twisted Tea.
Speaker 2 (01:01:33):
Yeah, for the Twisted Tea guy on the roof. That
one's that.
Speaker 4 (01:01:37):
10-4.
Speaker 2 (01:01:38):
Very good.
Speaker 1 (01:01:39):
From 161. If I were on the roof.
Speaker 2 (01:01:43):
What?
Speaker 3 (01:01:44):
What?
Speaker 6 (01:01:44):
Someone in Buffalo got on a roof, and the cops
were trying to get him down, and he said, throw
me up some Twisted Tea, and I'll come down, and
they did.
Speaker 2 (01:01:50):
And he still didn't come down.
Speaker 1 (01:01:52):
Doesn't matter. The one is the international marker for the
United States. I care. I care. Can I do my job?
Thank you. You're doing it poorly like the.
Speaker 2 (01:02:00):
Rest of us.
Speaker 1 (01:02:02):
Yeah, I work for a corporation. Be careful.
Speaker 6 (01:02:05):
We got to get her 20 more minutes in this room.
She's about to walk out going on vacation next week.
Speaker 1 (01:02:09):
I'm going to take you guys out with me. From 610.
Speaker 2 (01:02:13):
There we go. That's an area code.
Speaker 1 (01:02:16):
Jesus.
Speaker 4 (01:02:17):
If I were on a roof and was offered a
drink to come down, I'd want a bottle of Green
Fairy Absinthe.
Speaker 1 (01:02:22):
Make it worth the time in jail.
Speaker 2 (01:02:24):
They don't make it the same anymore. This week I
sent in two texts.
Speaker 1 (01:02:28):
I'm sorry, who's that from? Sorry, can you put the
number on there?
Speaker 2 (01:02:33):
It's from 353.
Speaker 1 (01:02:33):
No, it's actually not.
Speaker 4 (01:02:36):
The plus three is the country number, and then it
would be 538.
Speaker 2 (01:02:40):
Oh, it's like, yeah, that is a long number. Oh,
I do not like that. Does that suck? This week,
I sent in a text to even got a talkback
right on air, too.
Speaker 1 (01:02:54):
What I'm most proud of. Oh, you're doing the attaboy.
Speaker 8 (01:02:57):
This could be your attaboy. This week, you know what? Hey,
text or two. We're going to talk back right on
the air, too.
Speaker 2 (01:03:05):
I got to talk to my guy. Let's let's just
go to some talk backs here.
Speaker 1 (01:03:12):
Morning, Mosh Pit.
Speaker 2 (01:03:13):
This is Pope Cody IV. I just wanted to say, Maria,
go enjoy your vacation.
Speaker 1 (01:03:17):
Thank you.
Speaker 2 (01:03:18):
We will see you when you get back. Over. She's trying.
Speaker 1 (01:03:21):
Shout out to Pope Cody. I'd love to leave. Hey,
Mosh Pit. Glenn in Georgia. Let me see if I
can get to this without having a potty mouth.
Speaker 8 (01:03:29):
I'd love to.
Speaker 1 (01:03:29):
What am I doing today?
Speaker 4 (01:03:31):
Out here in this hot freaking heat, burning my tail off.
Speaker 3 (01:03:37):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (01:03:37):
I'm And trying to get this daggum grass mode. I'll
tell you what.
Speaker 7 (01:03:42):
Listening to you guys makes it a lot more bearable.
Speaker 1 (01:03:45):
Thank you. Y'all keep rocking. I'll keep mowing.
Speaker 2 (01:03:48):
Amazing.
Speaker 1 (01:03:52):
The dog panting in the background.
Speaker 2 (01:03:54):
Yeah, I love it.
Speaker 1 (01:03:54):
The birds chirping. The cicadas, which somehow, I don't know why,
but they sound like heat. You know what I mean? Oh, yeah. Summertime. Yeah,
that was incredible.
Speaker 2 (01:04:02):
All right, let's get one more.
Speaker 1 (01:04:02):
Daggum grass.
Speaker 2 (01:04:03):
Daggum grass.
Speaker 1 (01:04:05):
I just wanted to say I set up an alarm
every day.
Speaker 2 (01:04:08):
Even if I get only three or four hours of sleep,
I have to wake up to join the stream. All
of you have gotten me back to interacting and participating
in conversations again.
Speaker 1 (01:04:18):
Thank you.
Speaker 2 (01:04:19):
Thank you. Thank you. No sound effects this time. Juro. Juro.
Thank you.
Speaker 5 (01:04:24):
Thank you.
Speaker 2 (01:04:24):
That's what Juro sounds like. Absolutely sincere. And we love
it here. Um, but yeah, we've still got a little
bit of torture time on Maria, but usually I like
the chat says she's gonna blow on the bright side.
Speaker 1 (01:04:38):
We have new music from Evanescence on rock 95 five.
This is afterlife.
Speaker 4 (01:04:44):
Gentlemen, you did a lot of really great work this week,
and I think you deserve a little treat.
Speaker 1 (01:04:50):
As a reward. Cookies. Or Oreos.
Speaker 2 (01:04:54):
Multi-flavored Oreos.
Speaker 1 (01:04:56):
Oh, my goodness.
Speaker 4 (01:04:57):
No, it's even better than that.
Speaker 2 (01:05:01):
Oh.
Speaker 1 (01:05:02):
Verbal praise. Oh, damn it. Awesome. In song form.
Speaker 2 (01:05:05):
I'll eat that.
Speaker 1 (01:05:06):
That you get to participate in.
Speaker 2 (01:05:08):
Yeah.
Speaker 5 (01:05:09):
Hey, Marius.
Speaker 1 (01:05:10):
You seem excited. Why don't you start?
Speaker 2 (01:05:13):
This week, we get ready for a three-day weekend.
Speaker 1 (01:05:19):
Next week, Maria is gone. That's it. Atta boy, Maris.
It's been a hell of a week. I won't miss
you either. Atta boy.
Speaker 4 (01:05:32):
It's been a hell of a week.
Speaker 1 (01:05:36):
Mikey.
Speaker 2 (01:05:37):
It's so damn muggy I can't tell if I peed.
The breeze off the lake is an absolute need. Highs
in the 90s with my face all wet. I'm praying
for October like it's a.
Speaker 1 (01:05:47):
Big meaty bet.
Speaker 2 (01:05:49):
Atta boy, Mikey.
Speaker 1 (01:05:51):
It's been a hell of a week. Close, but no cigar.
Atta boy, Mikey. It's been a hell of a week.
Speaker 3 (01:06:00):
Steve.
Speaker 2 (01:06:01):
Back from my trip.
Speaker 1 (01:06:02):
TSA searched my pack. They always pick me.
Speaker 2 (01:06:05):
And I wonder why that. Fresh drinks and food.
Speaker 1 (01:06:08):
Can't wait to go back. But there's no place like home.
Atta boy, I'm back. Yes!
Speaker 2 (01:06:14):
Atta Boyz TV, it's been a hell of a week.
Speaker 4 (01:06:18):
Atta Boyz TV, it's been a hell of a week.
Speaker 1 (01:06:24):
This is from Juro. This week, I sent a text
or two. I even got my dog back red on air, too.
This text, too.
Speaker 4 (01:06:32):
What I'm most proud, I do have to say, is
that I came up with creme brulee.
Speaker 2 (01:06:37):
Yes!
Speaker 1 (01:06:39):
Atta boy, Juro. It's been a hell of a week.
Speaker 4 (01:06:43):
Good shot.
Speaker 1 (01:06:45):
Atta boy, Juro. It's been a hell of a week.
My turn.
Speaker 4 (01:06:50):
Some say zone out. I say dissociate. That's what I
just did for five days straight. It's been fun, but
now I must vacate. Pura Vida, baby, I can't wait.
Speaker 1 (01:07:03):
Atta girl, Palmer.
Speaker 2 (01:07:05):
It's been a hell of a week on the.
Speaker 1 (01:07:10):
Morning Mosh Pit. It's been a hell of a week.
Speaker 2 (01:07:19):
As we prepare for the leaving of Maria Palmer, we
do wish her a splendiferous and restful vacation.
Speaker 1 (01:07:28):
Be safe.
Speaker 2 (01:07:28):
And for you to look forward to Bro Week 2026.
Speaker 1 (01:07:32):
It's going to be fun.
Speaker 2 (01:07:35):
It's going to smell in here.
Speaker 4 (01:07:36):
Yeah, it is. Saucy.
Speaker 2 (01:07:37):
It's going to smell like man. Oh, man. I get
the trampolines. Man to man.
Speaker 1 (01:07:42):
No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no. We don't
do that anymore. I hope you guys touch tips. Maybe
just a sword fight. Yeah, we might. Cross streams.
Speaker 2 (01:07:52):
I'm only continuing this because Maria really wants to leave
and I don't want to let her go.
Speaker 6 (01:07:58):
You know what I've realized today on the show is
there is a lot of different flavors of Oreos.
Speaker 1 (01:08:04):
Let me count them.
Speaker 7 (01:08:04):
Okay.
Speaker 1 (01:08:11):
In case you didn't know.
Speaker 7 (01:08:12):
Wow.
Speaker 8 (01:08:12):
Because Maris can just keep us on the air.
Speaker 2 (01:08:16):
Maria is heading out for vacation. And she's going to
be gone. She's taking the keyboard apart.
Speaker 1 (01:08:23):
I'm not doing it.
Speaker 2 (01:08:25):
I can't do that.
Speaker 1 (01:08:27):
Bye-bye. Walt's up next. We'll see you guys on Tuesday.
The queen has left the building.
