Speaker 1 (00:07):
It is to hump day. I was gonna call it
something different. Are you gonna call it white Sox Wednesday?
Speaker 2 (00:13):
White? So I heard wet Sox Wednesday, and I was like, well, yeah,
hump day.
Speaker 1 (00:17):
Oh, how you do it? You know what?
Speaker 3 (00:21):
I like to call it, winners Wednesday? Winners Yeah, yesterday.
I'm not sure if you heard. At a certain points
in the show. Very much on the YouTube live, Maria
has been telling me to go all in on the
Cubs game. That's how she says it all in yeh
and yesterday, I did a little research and we did it.
I put two hundred dollars on the Cubs money line
and then a Nico Horner Peakrow Armstrong hit. By the way,
(00:43):
did you see Peekrow Armstrong's home run yesterday?
Speaker 1 (00:45):
I didn't. You got to see the thing. I mean,
it is a your old rocket, Maria tell us about it.
Speaker 2 (00:50):
He hit a home run. Wow.
Speaker 1 (00:53):
Crazy.
Speaker 3 (00:54):
It's one of those ones when it comes off the bat,
You're like, that's out of the stadium.
Speaker 1 (00:57):
Bye. But yeah, the Cubs won. I ended up.
Speaker 3 (00:59):
I think it was one hundred and seventy bucks I
won yesterday thanks to Maria Palmer. You're welcome you should
start giving gambling advice.
Speaker 2 (01:05):
I just did, and.
Speaker 3 (01:06):
Maybe we should take that four to seventy or four
whatever it is. Worried he's four seventy and put that
all in all in today all the Cubs they are
playing again.
Speaker 1 (01:13):
Again, should do that. You're going to double down.
Speaker 3 (01:16):
I don't know. I mean it's all winnings. Yeah, you
know what, I have to do research. We have to
check on all in, all in and see if what
I say yesterday, I did the research and it worked.
Speaker 1 (01:26):
You did a lot of You actually did three hours
of research.
Speaker 2 (01:29):
And and you could have just listened to me big wins.
You didn't even have to do the research.
Speaker 4 (01:33):
We got a double check. Well, no, he needed to research.
He needed to align himself the right way.
Speaker 3 (01:40):
But Marris has been saying that if I make a
big bet, that's going to screw the team and it's
going to go backwards. It did not happen that way.
Speaker 2 (01:45):
So was I right?
Speaker 1 (01:46):
You were?
Speaker 2 (01:47):
Oh? Okay, so was right? So you could just listen
to me?
Speaker 4 (01:50):
Okay, Yeah, that's how bad it works. Yeah, Michael, Michael
just put money on whatever.
Speaker 1 (01:55):
Well, well I'm going to do some research, but maybe
we let it ride again. Tonight. Before we do that,
can you tell us about whether I got you? Let's go.
Speaker 2 (02:02):
Michael's obsession with clouds cannot be overstated.
Speaker 1 (02:04):
It went up to the cloud and you can't get
it down. Nobody understands the cloud. It's a mystery. Here's weather.
Speaker 3 (02:11):
Yeah, yeah, I hate to be the bear of bad news,
but more storms in store for today.
Speaker 2 (02:15):
I'm the beer of the item.
Speaker 3 (02:16):
That's true. Bad news bearers coming up today. You could
watch that live on YouTube, Facebook or Instagram because she
are you.
Speaker 1 (02:21):
Blowing up today?
Speaker 2 (02:22):
Yeah? I'm blowing up today.
Speaker 1 (02:23):
Get in the costume.
Speaker 2 (02:24):
I'm doing a blow out. Yeah.
Speaker 3 (02:27):
Storms from about noon to three ish, give me a
little cup of windows there. But other than that can
be cloudy and human humidity right now ninety percent and
a high today of eighty one degrees. Also the out
plans this weekend. Keep an eye on the weather because
it is just supposed to be storming all weekend. I
feel like we haven't had many really, just.
Speaker 2 (02:46):
Summer has been terrible. I haven't been able to go outside.
Speaker 1 (02:51):
Oh my god, wait, you just went outside. You mean
you went to a Food Fighters concert? That's true. Enjoyed
it under the summer night nature y.
Speaker 3 (03:00):
You know, I'm concrete you could go out to the
ocean and hunt for ships.
Speaker 1 (03:05):
You want to go nature walk?
Speaker 2 (03:07):
Yeah?
Speaker 4 (03:07):
Okay, Well, do you know what else you should tell
us about? What and a shipwreck?
Speaker 2 (03:12):
It's a shipwreck. It's not the Edmund Fitzgerald.
Speaker 1 (03:15):
Okay, you're gonna tell us about it nextll.
Speaker 2 (03:18):
Ancient legend lives on from the Triple Bon. Don't know
of the big leg they call get you Gummy Lake
it is never gives up her Sky of novemberates the
(03:39):
Edmund Fitzgerald. No, it's the record of the Edmund Fitzgerald. Because
we're talking about shipwrecks on Rock ninety five to five,
and as we are Chicago's rock station, you can't talk
about a shipwreck in the Midwest without mentioning the Edmund Fitzgerald.
Is not what we're focused on. Focus up on the
Morning Mash, but it's what we do best. Dallian divers
off the coast of Sicily. I have uncovered an ancient
(04:00):
Roman ship wreck that dates back to the second or
first century BC. This ship stocked with hundreds of clay jars.
Speaker 1 (04:09):
Oh, what's in them? What's in them?
Speaker 2 (04:12):
We assume rupees, but I don't know. Link has to
break them with his sword first. It's been untouched on
the bottom of the seafloor for more than two thousand years,
making it one of the most important underwater discoveries in years. Oh,
it's so exciting. One of the fishermen who found the
wreck using sonar said the area first looked like an
(04:35):
ordinary rock, but after poking around a bit, he knew
they found something special. Quote, it is hard to describe
the feeling of being amongst the first humans in nearly
twenty centuries to see that place again, the fisherman said.
Speaker 3 (04:50):
Ordinary rock. So I assume I'm trying to picture this growth.
Is the boat upside down and you sort of see
the bottom of it maybe, and that looks like a
rock that's coming up out of the sand.
Speaker 4 (04:59):
Probably just oral and all the other stuff that has
accumulated over two thousands of years.
Speaker 1 (05:05):
You know, that's crazy. That's pretty cool. Though.
Speaker 3 (05:07):
I hope there's treasure, there's clay. John, There's got to
be something in them.
Speaker 2 (05:12):
We'll see.
Speaker 1 (05:14):
I don't open it, let it be yeah.
Speaker 2 (05:19):
There, Oh my god, When did we find this? This
summer has been real.
Speaker 4 (05:25):
Longing ex put it. Just put it in the museum.
Don't open an ounce of a thing.
Speaker 2 (05:32):
Yeah, this is how Curses is.
Speaker 4 (05:35):
Going to be very upset. His boat is gone or
their boat is gone?
Speaker 2 (05:39):
And is that how we're pronouncing it? Is it is?
Speaker 1 (05:42):
What if we get like an Aladdin?
Speaker 4 (05:48):
Yeah, I meant, oh, yeah, it's been a while since
I saw that movie.
Speaker 1 (05:54):
Just rubbed the clay pot. You know, some things we're
meant to stay hidden. I'm happy we found it.
Speaker 2 (06:01):
I'm rubbing a clay pot. Patrick Sweezey better be present.
He's not rest in peace, truly, ghost he went method.
Speaker 1 (06:10):
Every ceramic class is worse.
Speaker 2 (06:14):
DEMI really did a lot for chicks and pixel cuts.
Speaker 1 (06:17):
Though, What do he thinks in the clay pots?
Speaker 2 (06:20):
Uh? Curses for sure? Maybe some buried gold wine. Okay,
more realistically, probably is what was in there?
Speaker 3 (06:29):
Diamonds all diamonds.
Speaker 2 (06:34):
What do you thinks in there?
Speaker 1 (06:36):
We don't need to find out. That's what we don't
need to.
Speaker 2 (06:39):
Give a guest anyway.
Speaker 4 (06:42):
If it's probably like meat or something, booty liquor booty,
that's a fired thing.
Speaker 2 (06:51):
Five ish things you almost certainly need to know.
Speaker 4 (06:55):
It's a hell of a community service, I'll tell you
that much. Eight four ninety five fifty. We're going to
spin the wheel of rock for you. An amazing set
of concerts all lined up over at Credit Union one Amphitheater.
Speaker 1 (07:12):
Obviously the roof. Yeah, we did.
Speaker 4 (07:13):
See that they got some pretty significant storm damage out there,
but we will find out if that's going to deter
any these concerts.
Speaker 1 (07:20):
We're still gonna give them away up for grabs.
Speaker 4 (07:22):
Rob Zombie Breaking, Benjamin five Finger Death Punch, and Motley
Crewe We Need You eight four four five ninety five fifty.
The town of beaver Creek, Ohio is coming together to
fight against BUCkies. BUCkies is suing a local shop, Beaver's
Mini Mark, over the use of their beaver in a logo.
Speaker 1 (07:44):
BUCkies, you don't own all beavers. Okay they think they
they really do.
Speaker 4 (07:49):
But the town of Beaver Creek has really come together
to support Beavers many March. So far they have raised
sixty thousand dollars to help Beaver's Mini Mart fight against
BUCkies over the beaver mascot of it all.
Speaker 3 (08:07):
Do they realize how big BUCkies is. There's no money
you're gonna raise that. BUCkies will suit everybody.
Speaker 2 (08:11):
It's a big beaver.
Speaker 1 (08:12):
They're gonna draw it out.
Speaker 4 (08:13):
Huge beaver radioactive disc washed up ashore in Delaware.
Speaker 1 (08:18):
And the person took it home.
Speaker 4 (08:19):
Oh god, where They washed it off, cleaned it and
found out it was radioactive and it had instructions on
what to do to dispose of this disc. Emergency Emergency
Response team was called along with the Coastguard and Delaware
State Fire School, and they got rid of it.
Speaker 1 (08:36):
Thankfully. It was at a very low radiation point.
Speaker 4 (08:41):
But don't got to take everything home you find on
a beachday.
Speaker 2 (08:46):
Masha, we're actively on the radio. You could call us radioactive.
Speaker 1 (08:51):
I'm growing a third eye, I'm a killer.
Speaker 4 (08:53):
High school student found a cotton mouth snake in his helmet.
After being in practice for over an hour, he noticed
something was moving around and went to take his helmet off.
The fountains too, but cotton mouth snakes whether around. After that,
they reminded the students that you need to check your
(09:16):
equipment before using it.
Speaker 1 (09:17):
No one was bit and the snake was free.
Speaker 2 (09:20):
I think its mouth is made out of cotton, otherwise
it could have been real trumpet.
Speaker 4 (09:24):
And popcorn brain is now a thing because we have
to name everything this out there. The feeling this is
a feeling a person gets in their head as they
bounce back and forth from app to app.
Speaker 1 (09:36):
On their device.
Speaker 4 (09:37):
Oh yeah, they say, it's leading to trouble and slowing
down and focusing while you're doing any task at hand.
Speaker 1 (09:45):
Am put our video up from the smorting popcorn brain
over there?
Speaker 4 (09:53):
But yes, still looking to give away the wheel of
rock tickets A four four, nine, five, five fifty. But
on the way, Michael's wants to talk about sports. Oh yeah,
day for the Cubbies. Oh yeah, at least for Michael.
Speaker 1 (10:08):
Big day, Pubbies battled for the Bears, all in, Well,
we'll talk about that.
Speaker 2 (10:14):
What he's waiting for is, in fact death. That song
is about an old band sitting in a hotel room
contemplating his life and waiting for death. Are some shiny
stories with Maria Palmer on the morning moshpit on Rock
ninety five to five. Anyway, boys, what are we doing?
Speaker 1 (10:30):
Sports?
Speaker 2 (10:31):
I love this part.
Speaker 1 (10:32):
You should get out, Michael. You know this is Maria
Palmer here.
Speaker 4 (10:35):
Mm hmm.
Speaker 3 (10:36):
She told me to go all in yesterday on the
Cubs and goddamn right, we want some serious money.
Speaker 2 (10:40):
Goddamn right.
Speaker 3 (10:41):
Think about doing it again with those winnings. God damn
door Cubs one eight to see some of the Washington
Nationals last night. There now seventy and fifty and still
second the now Central three games back behind the Brewers,
who ate S yesterday against I think the podcast. I'm
not sure who they played, but they lost. For Nationals
jumped out early, which made me grab my pants a
(11:03):
little bit. But then Pach got a massive home run.
Alex Bregman had a home run, says Azuki had a
home run. Cubs took the lead in the fourth inning
with a three run inning there and then showed it in.
Speaker 1 (11:12):
Monaga gets the win. Brewers got smoked by the Padres.
Speaker 2 (11:15):
Good.
Speaker 1 (11:16):
It was, by the way, their picture, what's this Misroski? Misroski?
Speaker 3 (11:23):
He has two hundred strikeouts already. That's crazy. Yeah, but
the Cubs are sneaking up on that ass.
Speaker 1 (11:30):
Let's see her. White Sox Pope hat night.
Speaker 4 (11:33):
Unfortunately, the holiest night on the South Side should have
seen another bad beat.
Speaker 3 (11:40):
I feel bad for White Sox fans. They've been going
into extras and getting beat Yes, it worse.
Speaker 4 (11:44):
It's you know, you got to be able to last
the entire game.
Speaker 3 (11:48):
But they played the Cincinnati Reds lost four to five
in extras ten innings and play again tonight and Coupies
back in action tonight in Washington, d C. At Nationals Park.
And some horrific news. This is maybe some of the worst.
Speaker 1 (12:01):
It's bad news. It's not hurt.
Speaker 3 (12:02):
It's bad that we don't have come on its. Kobe
Bryant is out for the season. Bears safety suffered a
hyper extended knee with a bone bruise and a small
fracture in the first padded practice of the season. He
had surgery and is expected to miss four to six months.
And then we got a bunch of other people that
(12:23):
are hurt. To Ozzy's out there, are left tackle's hurt.
We got Kyler Gordon hasn't showed up really yet.
Speaker 1 (12:27):
But it's I mean, it's a.
Speaker 4 (12:29):
Training camp, luth Burton. Still though it's going to happen.
It's happening a lot. It seems like there's a lot
of injuries floating around NFL right now.
Speaker 1 (12:37):
Yeah, for sure.
Speaker 2 (12:38):
So all right, good job guys.
Speaker 1 (12:40):
Maria, thanks for the notes today.
Speaker 2 (12:41):
Welcome.
Speaker 3 (12:42):
What do you think about sports? What do you think
of them? Do you think I should go on the
Cubs again?
Speaker 1 (12:47):
Tonight.
Speaker 3 (12:48):
Yeah, I looked it up and it actually isn't a
bad bet. I know, Cubs money line, Pete car Armstrong hit,
Nico Horner hit That's what hit last night. Summer time
and a living's easy. Not that we've enjoyed all that
much summer. I feel like this summer has been difficult.
We're going to talk about that a little later right now.
(13:09):
If your a parent of teenagers, one of the best
things you can do to save time is get your
kids involved in the meals operations. According to her poor At,
eighty two percent of families have a default dining manager
who handles meal planning, shopping, and cooking. It's a massive
job that doesn't get full appreciation it deserves, even if
you're thanked at the table like a child, like a mother,
what like or a father?
Speaker 2 (13:30):
Maybe because well, in my.
Speaker 1 (13:32):
Home grown up.
Speaker 3 (13:33):
By the way, if mom had delegated any of this
to us kids, everyone would have starved in our home.
Speaker 1 (13:39):
I mean, like you, what are we even talking about?
We killed it. It wouldn't have been a thing.
Speaker 4 (13:43):
But as a grocery store four blocks away and walk
there to go get snacks if I needed to eat
them and go find me some food.
Speaker 2 (13:49):
I'm glad we are recognizing that this is labor. Yes,
should be paid, Yes, and maybe not just taken for granted.
Speaker 3 (13:57):
It says the dining manager spends about two hours every
day on meal related task tasks. Here's how that breaks down.
Deciding what to make eighteen minutes, creating a grocery list,
nineteen minutes shopping for ingredients.
Speaker 1 (14:06):
Yes, this is all time.
Speaker 2 (14:07):
I can't do it. Like, and by the way, I
cannot do this.
Speaker 1 (14:10):
Who's your meal manager? Factor the same you, Maris. I'm
doing my own thing right now.
Speaker 3 (14:16):
I'm independent, Maris is the manager. Yeah, that does that
surprise anyone?
Speaker 4 (14:20):
Now. It's one of those things where I was, like
I was as you were saying this, I was thinking
about when I was in high school, when I was hungry,
I cooked, and and like if my sister or brother
or my brother really wasn't around when I was in
high school because he was in college, so it was
just like the two of us and then mom would
eat whatever. We took care of ourselves. So I'm kind
(14:41):
of stuck and lost on like what's going on in
homes today's food?
Speaker 3 (14:45):
And that is interesting because I'm going to find a
relative to each family. Yeah, where your family's set.
Speaker 4 (14:49):
Up and all that, everybody's on a completely different schedule
with completely different ones, and if it's in the fridge,
we're gonna make a meal happen.
Speaker 2 (14:56):
Again. I'm just glad the discussion is being had because
I am from a more traditiontional background and a lot
of my friends are too, And this is stuff that
dudes used to be like, well, that's why I have
a wife.
Speaker 1 (15:07):
Yeah, I hate that. But also my mom liked doing that.
Speaker 2 (15:11):
Sure, I mean, and that can be true.
Speaker 1 (15:13):
But she was a mom. She was very right.
Speaker 2 (15:15):
Your mom was a mom, which is a mom's mom. Sure,
and I think that that is it's good again to
be having the discussion that it is labor. It should
just automatically be assigned to a gender. Your wife works too, yeah,
you know, probably as much as you do, and has
to deal with weird sexism at work and like creepiness
on the way to and from work and every.
Speaker 1 (15:37):
Every other moment all the time.
Speaker 4 (15:41):
More and more I'm finding out that there are a
lot more men who are taking over the role of cooking.
Speaker 2 (15:45):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (15:45):
Yeah, there's no meal manager in my house where you
play along with me for a second. This is about
how it goes.
Speaker 1 (15:49):
What do you want for dinner?
Speaker 2 (15:52):
Factor or Uber Eats.
Speaker 1 (15:54):
I don't know what do you want? You missed it?
Speaker 2 (15:56):
See, I don't do that. You don't know I go
Factor or Eat. Okay, I truly can't do it. If
I have to come up with the meal and go
to the grocery store and come home and cook it,
my lazy bones are not eating. It's just not gonna happen.
Speaker 1 (16:11):
Well, then you stay skiddy yesterday, then you got a
lighthead when you're at work.
Speaker 2 (16:16):
Then you overeat no, because then at some point you
give it and you buy the order, the Uber Eats order.
Speaker 1 (16:23):
That's exactly I did last night. I skipp lunch and
then I had your Doba. Yeah, and I went to bed.
Then gorge yourself. I didn't gorge, gorge. I did gorge.
Speaker 2 (16:31):
Well you're looking.
Speaker 1 (16:32):
Gorge, Maria Michael. And yes, what day it is? What
day it's White Sox Wednesday?
Speaker 2 (16:40):
I thought that's what I was gonna say.
Speaker 1 (16:43):
Eight four four ninety five fifty.
Speaker 4 (16:46):
This is your chance to win a four pack of
tickets to see the White Sox take on.
Speaker 1 (16:50):
The New York Mets over at Rate Field.
Speaker 4 (16:52):
On August twenty first happens to be a postgame firework
and night for you to enjoy, all presented by Beggars.
Speaker 1 (16:59):
And it is a City Connect Friday. If there's anything
I love.
Speaker 4 (17:03):
That the MLB is doing right now, it is the
City con Nec Jersey. Yeah, they look sick. And I'm
also going to say this, I know a lot of
people showed up for Pope pat Night, not enough people
showed up and prayed because that game went south at
the end.
Speaker 1 (17:20):
Of the game.
Speaker 3 (17:21):
Got an email back, I think we are going to
get you a Pope pet Oh my god, they're working
on it.
Speaker 1 (17:27):
I know you want no pun intended. It talks. So
number one.
Speaker 4 (17:32):
Still they're still the first place. Tigers are right behind
them at two and a half back. But the one
thing about Pope pat Night.
Speaker 1 (17:40):
Last night.
Speaker 4 (17:42):
Was they did peace be with you in between innings,
every inning and with your spirits.
Speaker 2 (17:48):
I describe it, Maria, you give the sign of piece
at Catholic Mass.
Speaker 1 (17:53):
Like two fingers up.
Speaker 2 (17:53):
No, actually you can if you're sick and you don't
want to touch other people's hands. But no, it's a
It's just a moment where you shake your neighbor's hand
like the pear do you say peace be with you
and then they go in with your spirit. It used
to being also with you, but then the last.
Speaker 1 (18:07):
Our church, you just said say hi to somebody next day.
Speaker 2 (18:09):
That's basically what it is. You just get to do
that in the stadium.
Speaker 4 (18:13):
In the stadium, there's social media videos popping up all
over and again, like for the Socks to lose on
Pope pat Night and that that's a tough one.
Speaker 1 (18:23):
That's a tough one. Could have been on your more
sure praying. That's that's where you're gonna go. That's where
I went. All right, let's talk to Mark from Aurora. Mark,
how are we doing today? Good?
Speaker 5 (18:35):
Good?
Speaker 1 (18:36):
How are you guys doing? And we're doing fantastic. Thanks
for doing the guests on White Sox Wednesday. Peace be
with you, be with you. I will with you too.
Speaker 4 (18:48):
Yeah, you got yourself a four pack tickets to see
those White Socks. Cleitally a fan you are. How do
you feel about how the season's going right now?
Speaker 1 (18:57):
Mark? Yeah, it could be bad better, but you're better
than last way better least. That's very valid. Mark.
Speaker 4 (19:05):
The Socks are well ahead of schedule right now from
where they were and at this point we're just happy
to see what they've done, although I want to see
some playoffs on the.
Speaker 1 (19:15):
Outside, that is for sure.
Speaker 4 (19:17):
Mark, are you planning on taking Yeah, fingers crossed. Mark,
are you planning on taking to this game with you?
Speaker 3 (19:24):
Oh?
Speaker 1 (19:24):
Probably the white there you go see.
Speaker 4 (19:26):
I like this another another one where you take a
couple and you take the four tickets and then nobody
can sit next to you. We've got two open seats,
nobody sitting next to you.
Speaker 1 (19:38):
Mark, well done. That is the way to be.
Speaker 4 (19:41):
And uh, congrats my man on the way on Rock
ninety five to five. We're just in a giving move
this morning. One to the head, he's next after the bridge.
Speaker 1 (19:51):
Now here's a bit only.
Speaker 4 (19:58):
No eight four four nine five five ninety five fifty.
Why are we saying no to fronts of the head?
I just like to do it different all the time.
Speaker 1 (20:07):
Okay. Sometimes you'll say plug it and I'll say okay.
Speaker 4 (20:11):
Black Label Society tickets up for grab September twelfth.
Speaker 1 (20:14):
That is a Saturday, and we want you to get.
Speaker 4 (20:16):
Out and enjoy as many concerts as possible. But you
gotta play our game. Answer some trivia questions we get
shot with nerve darts if you get questions wrong, but
you can take one of us safe to prove you
can't take one of us hostage to provide you US
says yes, but we need you first eight four four
nine five five ninety five fifty B caller ten to
(20:38):
get Anne Maria.
Speaker 1 (20:39):
What is that number?

morning Mash Fitton. I have a question for the room. Yes,
is it too early to talk about Christmas? Oh? I've
been trying to do it, ladies and gentlemen.
Speaker 4 (26:15):
I don't know what kahoots the NFL and NBA got into,
but the Christmas game day schedule is ridiculous.
Speaker 1 (26:25):
Is it usually just a couple gamesgiving them?
Speaker 4 (26:29):
I think they've been exploring more into the holiday schedules
in general.
Speaker 1 (26:32):
But I'm just going to go top to bottom here.
Speaker 4 (26:35):
We're going to start the day with basketball San Antonio
Spurs taking on the Knicks, rematch of the NBA Finals
last year.
Speaker 1 (26:44):
Then football, We've got Green Bay.
Speaker 4 (26:47):
Packers right here in Chicago taking on the Bears.
Speaker 1 (26:50):
That's right, that's a Thanksgiving game, that's Christmas. I got
to look that one up.
Speaker 4 (26:54):
Then Miami Eat taking on the Boston Celtics. Just a
big rival game there. Buffalo Bills at Denver Broncos. That's
gonna be a banger. Philadelphia seventy six sixers taken on
the Los Angeles Lakers. That's going to be the lebron
game right there. He is now a seventy sixer. Great
(27:15):
basketball with the OKC Thunder taking on the Timberwolves, wrapping
up the night of football with the La Rams taking
on the Seahawks, and then the Denver Nuggets wrap up
the night against the Golden State Warriors.
Speaker 1 (27:28):
As far as basketball goes, So I'm not leaving the couch.
I am so glad I don't have kids. Yes, I'm not. Seriously,
I was just thinking that. I was like, yeah, I
don't say that. I'm all to me. I'm not wrapping nothing.
Speaker 6 (27:39):
I'm cooking for me, and I got my whiskey with me,
and I got four screens on the entire day, NFL,
NBA for this collusion, I say thank you.
Speaker 2 (27:51):
I think it's going to be you and another year
where I visit my parents in their small town for
Christmas and I do not meet a small town lumberjack
guy who saves me from my big city. Do you
want to come over you's got to be inside watching football.
Speaker 4 (28:02):
I was going to say, do you want to just
come over and watch all of these amazing sports?
Speaker 2 (28:06):
No, I want to spend Christmas with my family.
Speaker 3 (28:08):
Cheapest ticket to the Packers Bears game three seventy four
forty right?
Speaker 6 (28:13):
You know what?
Speaker 1 (28:14):
Did you make that a Christmas present for somebody special
in your life? I wish somebody would get that for me.
I'm the one that wants to go.
Speaker 2 (28:20):
Who is going to save the town at the Christmas
tree sale? If everyone's inside watching football, it is.
Speaker 4 (28:25):
A Hallmark Bear's I was going to say, it's going
to be a nerd that does not like sports, but NBA,
NFL thank you.
Speaker 1 (28:37):
From the Morning lash Bit.
Speaker 3 (28:38):
Ketty Lee suggests that Neil Perk visited him as a bird.
Rock ninety five five, Chicago's rock station, The morning mosh
Pit is on. It is time for rock news.
Speaker 2 (28:46):
Chirp, chirp, the Birds aren't real.
Speaker 3 (28:48):
This past June, Rush kicked off their fifty something reunion
tour at the Kia Forum in Inglewood, minus their famous drummer.
Neil Perk, passed away January twenty twenty. In an interview
with Q one oh seven Toronto the host asked whether
he's felt Pert's presence on the tour. Sorry, Getty says,
(29:09):
quote spooky question. Well it's funny. I'll tell you a
little story. After the opening night, we were staying in
La and I was texting al or Ai.
Speaker 1 (29:17):
I'm not sure what that.
Speaker 3 (29:18):
I'm probably ah, yeah, well yeah, wow. I mean we
were in the same hotel, but we were texting each other.
My door to my room was open a crack, and
I don't know if you've seen the posters that have
two birds on a wire and the one bird is
flying away. I looked in front of me on the
floor and there was a little bird on the floor
that looked just like the bird on the poster. The
posterly is referring to to it, which has been used
(29:40):
to promote the tour, features three birds, two sitting on
a traffic signal cable meant to represent Lee and Alex,
and a third mid flight symbolizing Neil Purp. He continued
and said, I was shocked, and as you know, I
love birds. So I approached it, and it flew by
me and flew into my bedroom and sat on the
edge of my bed, and then I approached it again.
And it was just looking right at me. Crazy, crazy story.
(30:02):
Whatever brings you peace, I guess yes, I absolutely love that.
Speaker 4 (30:06):
What did you smoke, my man? Because I definitely want
some for myself.
Speaker 2 (30:11):
Seriously, that's definitely the meaning that he took from seeing
a burden in his hotel room. But one time my
grandma came to me as a burden Walmart. Interesting, she
was just stuck inside. He's like.
Speaker 3 (30:24):
Banging against the wall. Interesting thing my one of my
favorite bands ever. And don't judge him by the song
float on Modest mouse in town. Tonight at the Salt Shed,
admired in a bit of controversy, their drummer that they've
been touring.
Speaker 1 (30:38):
With sent an explicit photo to a sixteen year old fan.
Speaker 3 (30:44):
Here's what it was though. Okay, that sounds bad when
you say it was a meme of something else, and
the d in it was censored out. Hey, why are
you talking to sixteen?
Speaker 1 (30:57):
Here's what he said.
Speaker 3 (30:58):
He said that he's been being stalked by some one
who's making different accounts and messing with him, and he
thought it was that person.
Speaker 1 (31:04):
No, I'm just saying you don't.
Speaker 2 (31:07):
You don't engage with those people. We are public figures.
Speaker 1 (31:09):
That's there.
Speaker 2 (31:10):
We have a chat all the time. Would you ever
find yourself dming a sixteen year old?
Speaker 1 (31:15):
Are you kidding?
Speaker 2 (31:15):
Someone was harassing you? Would you keep engaging? Oh cool,
he's a creep. Yeah, modest mouse threw him off the tour. Yeah,
so new guitar player tonight at the Salt Shed and
shout out to them for.
Speaker 1 (31:26):
Doing that, because I think that's a good move. No
matter what.
Speaker 3 (31:28):
Yeah, for all the rockneys and the concert calendar, just
head over to Rock nine five to five, druck.
Speaker 2 (31:42):
It's time to dork out.
Speaker 1 (31:48):
I was blown away when I saw this collaboration yesterday.
Speaker 4 (31:51):
Okay, Marvel, Lucas Films, and Kevin Smith working together on
a six book comic book drop which we'll see Star
Wars and Marvel characters clashed for the first time in
comic That's cool now a little known fact Marvel has
(32:13):
been released seeing comics for Star Wars for quite some
time now, and now we're getting a mix up that
we'll see the likes of Darth Vader, Doctor Doom, Fanos, Ultron,
Come on, Venom.
Speaker 1 (32:27):
What about Doctor taking On?
Speaker 4 (32:30):
Come on, Luke, Skywalker, Spider Man, Sure, Captain America, Princess Leiah,
Fantastic Four, Black Panther, Drek X Men.
Speaker 1 (32:40):
Thanks now, I know you would love to see jar Jar.
I want to get his own name this movie, but
it is focused on the middle trilogy OG trilogy. I
don't like that.
Speaker 4 (32:52):
The series is called holp As Symbols and it'll be
dropping in January twenty twenty seven. I haven't been this
excited to see what the hell this is going to
look like? Is this actively all over the place.
Speaker 1 (33:05):
Of my brain skepticals, health skeptical?
Speaker 2 (33:07):
Why? I gotta be real? It feels like a money grum,
which I mean, yes.
Speaker 1 (33:15):
We both owned by the mouse. The mouse is going
to make some paper off this.
Speaker 2 (33:18):
But I don't there's such different universes.
Speaker 1 (33:22):
Here's where I see a lot of hope. Kevin Smith
is behind all of this. He's fine.
Speaker 4 (33:28):
And if you're going to get a nerd to combine
nerd properties, make it, yes that Kevin Smith, He's he's
going to be the one to do it right.
Speaker 2 (33:38):
And it's just like, is George Lucas going to be involved?
Speaker 1 (33:41):
Sign?
Speaker 2 (33:42):
I know he signed off on it.
Speaker 4 (33:43):
I mean he's I mean, he's on what's going on
with Lucasfilms.
Speaker 1 (33:48):
Disney's got it. So yeah, please call him, just text me,
he said, let him know I'm in. All right, you're in. Yeah,
have a lunch with them later today. Yeah. Okay.
Speaker 4 (33:59):
So here here's the nerd question of all you're gonna
put out within the Star Wars Marvel Verse. Who do
you want to see? Interack the most eight four, four, nine, five, five,
ninety five fifty.
Speaker 1 (34:12):
I want to see franceses Leia talk to Deadpool.
Speaker 2 (34:16):
Oh, I want Hans Solo and Iron Man.
Speaker 1 (34:19):
Okay, Michael tes leya Deadpool. That sounds like a different movie.
Excuse me, I've watched that movie. Yeah, it's a good one.
Speaker 4 (34:26):
If you're experiencing the August scaries, this summer seems to
be coming to an end.
Speaker 1 (34:35):
Don't worry, You're not alone.
Speaker 4 (34:37):
A lot of people feel like they haven't spent or
validated their summer with an actual vacation.
Speaker 1 (34:44):
Right now.
Speaker 3 (34:44):
We haven't gotten the chance the older I get, the
last summer I have. Yeah, it's like life becomes more important.
You remember you remember summer days? Man, you wake up,
it didn't matter what you did.
Speaker 1 (34:55):
Tart.
Speaker 3 (34:56):
Yeah, you're meeting with the friends, the neighbor going out
riding bikes, summer night.
Speaker 1 (35:01):
God, staying out late. Remember summer nights, we can stay
out late. That's worry about anything. Let me tell you something.
Speaker 3 (35:07):
If you're a child, if you are still in school
right now and your parents are still paying your bills
and you're in the car, if your parents are cool
enough to let you listen, enjoy that, slow down, and
realize how good you got it, because I ain't gonna
be around from So.
Speaker 4 (35:20):
Here's the thing people are dealing with now. They're dealing
with last minute vacations. They're looking at, Oh crap, August
is here, Oh crap, I need to get a vacation
in and you got to use my PTO while it's
still nice out now. People are making like very rash
decisions on going somewhere to relax. We know what it
(35:41):
takes to go on vacation, and it's almost like, all right,
now I need a vacation from my vacation, so is
it worthwhile to take the vacation. So there are a
lot of different things being weighed, and one of the
big ones is the deal. Okay, go on, my mouth's froze.
The deal being plane tickets are high as hell, they
(36:04):
are expensive right now. Yeah, gas is so high you
don't want to you don't know. Yeah, less options, I
guess is kind of a sin.
Speaker 1 (36:13):
No, they took the everything's expensive.
Speaker 4 (36:15):
You want to go on a roady thing that's now
extra expensive, and you've got to think about that.
Speaker 1 (36:20):
Flights are insane. I got a meal it subway the
other day. I know, don't judge me. I was all
it was the closest thing to my house.
Speaker 3 (36:27):
It was twenty eight dollars for one person. I got
the cookies. But still I used to be able to
go to Subway for fourteen bucks. Yeah, I mean, how
do you if you have kids?
Speaker 1 (36:37):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (36:37):
What?
Speaker 6 (36:37):
What?
Speaker 1 (36:38):
How do you operate?
Speaker 4 (36:39):
That's the other validating factor in this. If you've got
kids getting ready to go back to school, you got it.
You're under the gun to get that vacation.
Speaker 1 (36:47):
In and clothes and school supplies and books.
Speaker 2 (36:50):
I just think you guys are being selfish. The billionaires
need that money. Okay, you can't have it, Yeah, you
have to struggle. They need their third Yeah, please have
another No, No, that goes to the shareholders. They need
that value.
Speaker 4 (37:06):
The only comforting thing is we're gonna have nice weather
through October, but I like that. Yeah, and Halloween it's
shut up a shut up giving. We even talked about
Christmas earlier, we did, and that is my fault.
Speaker 2 (37:19):
It's not even that things are expensive, is that it
keeps tornado in everywhere?
Speaker 1 (37:23):
Yeah, well we are.
Speaker 4 (37:24):
We are the new capital for tornadoes here in Illinois,
which is making being outside a little bit difficult. But
are you up against the gun trying to get some
vacation in before August in?
Speaker 1 (37:34):
So let us know eight four four that sucks.
Speaker 2 (37:38):
It's good?
Speaker 1 (37:41):
Oh?
Speaker 2 (37:42):
Is it time for little old me to put a
positive spin on those news headlines because otherwise they're gonna
get you down. Time for the positive spin.
Speaker 1 (37:51):
Yes, she's in the costume.
Speaker 2 (37:56):
That was a spin, bed news beers. Three states are
set to hold executions on the same day of first
in the US since two thousand and ten.
Speaker 1 (38:14):
Efficiency three peat three patsy. I hope they are right.
Speaker 2 (38:22):
Beds charge unlicensed boat captain after a mother and baby
were killed in New York Harbor capsizing.
Speaker 3 (38:32):
If you're going to take people out on a boat,
you'd better be able to handle that boat. Oh, her
head's her head's going l You did you rip the suit?
Speaker 1 (38:43):
Did you cut it?
Speaker 4 (38:44):
Mariss war sometimes she zipped up.
Speaker 1 (38:47):
You better get these done, Quagga, you get twelve? Oh
my god, oh my god. Come on. Three dead.
Speaker 2 (38:52):
More than one million without power as severe storms strike Midwest.
Current mood down, get it current this. Let's be ones
you are.
Speaker 4 (39:08):
Now here's a bit only blug blug it eight four
four ninety five, fiftieth time for it happens. We're gonna
put you in a pituation and your goal is not
to get kicked out, tossed out, thrown out or bounced out.
B security and Michael, Yeah, you are our pit master today.
Speaker 1 (39:28):
Where are we headed?
Speaker 3 (39:30):
Let's go to the Modest Mouse show tonight. Oh, I
will give you a pituation that happened to.
Speaker 1 (39:35):
Me in real life.
Speaker 3 (39:36):
Now, Modest Mouse is one of my favorite bands. So
this is no slout, no slight at them, but this
is actually gonna be a pituation that happened to me
in real life.
Speaker 1 (39:44):
Okay, real life situation right here for your chance to win.
Speaker 4 (39:47):
Take us to see Leonard Skinner gonna be over at
Credit Union one Amphitheater on August fifteenth, that's this weekend.
Oh my god, I wonder if that roof's gonna be
in condition so that they can perform.
Speaker 3 (39:58):
You saw, Maria, it doesn't look that bad. It looks
like they lost some of the top of it, like
a little bit of the corners or something. I'm sure
they'll have it ready to go. I'm shooting a modest
mouse cover band. It's called Slutty Rat.
Speaker 4 (40:09):
Eight four four ninety five fifty B color ten. Maria,
what's that number?
Speaker 2 (40:16):
Ninety five?
Speaker 5 (40:16):
Slutty Rat?
Speaker 4 (40:23):
It is the morning moshpit on Rock ninety five five?
Speaker 1 (40:26):
Are we speaking with Bob from East Chicago Hobby? Yeah? Hey,
how how are you doing there, Bob? I'm good. I'm
driving home from work right now. Nice night from work.
What do you do?
Speaker 2 (40:44):
Oh god, oh my god. You gotta be working like
crazy right now.
Speaker 1 (40:49):
I work at the mill, so I'm not that kind
of electric.
Speaker 2 (40:52):
Gotcha, gotcha?
Speaker 4 (40:55):
Thank you well, thanks for joining us today for pitt Happens.
This is a game where we you and epituation, and
your goal is not to get kicked out. It's assed out,
thrown out, or bounced out by security.
Speaker 1 (41:05):
Up for grabs.
Speaker 4 (41:06):
Lennards Skinner tickets as they will be in town this
Saturday over at Credit Union one Amphitheater and Michael.
Speaker 1 (41:12):
Yeah, you are our pit mass. Ready, all right, let's
go Modest Mouse Salt Shed Tonight.
Speaker 3 (41:20):
By the way, we all know float on. Don't judge
them by that song. There's many good songs they have.
Speaker 2 (41:25):
It's a great song.
Speaker 1 (41:26):
It's a great song.
Speaker 3 (41:26):
But I'm just saying much more effective. I feel like
that guy now. I like their old albums. Okay, get
to it.
Speaker 2 (41:33):
It's the Modest about your Mice.
Speaker 3 (41:35):
We're going out to the Salt Shed tonight. This is
actually a story that happened to me. Modest Mouse is
on stage, and listen, here's the deal. If you don't know,
there is a million people in this band. I don't
know if they still do it. But for a while
they had two full drum sets, like people playing ting
tings and ding dings and violins and all kinds of things.
Speaker 2 (41:51):
Right, you have a lot of people dings, ding dings
and violetin, which.
Speaker 1 (41:55):
Means everybody needs to stay on beat while playing together.
They were handed.
Speaker 3 (42:00):
The band is drunk, they are not playing well together,
and the crowd is turning on them.
Speaker 1 (42:04):
Again, this happened.
Speaker 3 (42:06):
We're sitting on the well. Well, let's say we're standing
and you and a beer flies out from behind us
onto the stage. Now the crowd is starting to throw
beer at the stage again this happened, and they think
it's you. Security is coming our way. All they saw
was the drink go up from our area. What are
you saying to get us out of this?
Speaker 1 (42:30):
It was behind me?
Speaker 2 (42:33):
Okay, just to denial rolling for deflect bleas a want.
Speaker 3 (42:39):
That's fine, we don't need that anyways. The show sucks.
Here's what we're at, maris. Yeah, you got to help
us out here.
Speaker 4 (42:46):
I'm going to go and pull the plug on the
stage to see everybody.
Speaker 1 (42:50):
That's actually a good idea.
Speaker 2 (42:51):
Enjoy the sound of silence. It's a five.
Speaker 1 (42:55):
It's pretty good, Maress, I like it. You're welcome.
Speaker 3 (42:57):
Stage goes dark, lights come on, nobody knows what's going on.
Everything calms down, and the band passes out, falls asleep
on the stage. And that said, it was a fun night.
But you win, you win. You got a saturn the situation.
We didn't get kicked out, bounced out, or tossed out.
You are the winner, sir, Well.
Speaker 1 (43:12):
Done, Bob.
Speaker 4 (43:13):
You're headed to see Leonard Skinner this weekend over at
Credit Union one. Amphitheater that is the fifteenth this Saturday. Bob,
we just want to know who you plan on taking
with you to this one. Probably my son.

what's been going on. A lot of power outages, a
lot of down.
Speaker 3 (43:58):

lot of people in neighborhoods with trees down, or just
trees everywhere.
Speaker 1 (44:32):
We've seen reports of houses that had explosions, gas lines,
blowing gas lines.
Speaker 4 (44:38):
And then we had to call a little while ago
from one of our listeners in Indiana begging for a chainsaw,
begging for a train Shaw. We are going to do
that on Friday for free chainsaw Friday. But he was
trying to get somewhere so he could get gas for
his generator and had been driving for thirty minutes.
Speaker 1 (44:55):
And we saw in the.
Speaker 4 (44:56):
News the lines at those gas stations are appsbsolutely crazy
right now, Look at the bianna, look at the strings.
Speaker 1 (45:03):
A lot of communities in Indiana dealing with that's current.
Speaker 3 (45:08):
We are in a tornado warning for northern LaSalle County
and it looks like that is something damaging. Color on
the news there.
Speaker 2 (45:15):
These are lightning bolts, not the ACDC kind.
Speaker 1 (45:17):
We'll get this.
Speaker 3 (45:18):
We got shows going on, but rock shows at Credit
Union amphitheater. They lost part of their roof in the storms.
Did we confirm that a tornado touchdown in Tinley Park?
Speaker 4 (45:26):
Tinley did get hit, along with Flossmore, Homewood, Orlean Monee
and Mokeina, along with Lance.
Speaker 3 (45:34):
Yeah, so's here that storms founded the area during the
midday hours of Tuesday, winds around one hundred miles an hour.
We're reported Credit Union Amphitheater opened in nineteen ninety and
has changed names several times.
Speaker 1 (45:44):
Blah blah blah.
Speaker 3 (45:44):
But yeah, they lost a little bit of corner of
the roof. But it looks like if the show's not
till this weekend, think at that.
Speaker 1 (45:49):
Yeah, we know there's going to be shows popping up.
Speaker 4 (45:51):
I'm imagining they're going to have a fix in place,
or they're going to put out a notice that if
the structural damage is a little worse than we expected.
Speaker 3 (46:00):
You know who first performed at Credit Union one Amphitheater,
Who's share Really it was the first ever performers, you
can believe it. And they've had everybody from Witn Houston
to Bob Dylan.
Speaker 2 (46:08):
Detsha Wagon will watch tufsi.
Speaker 3 (46:12):
Hey but all over and above everything everything, keep an
eye out for people, Check on your neighbors. Their storms
are still coming today. They're going to be heaviest probably
for us here in the Chicago Main Chicago area about
noon to three.
Speaker 1 (46:23):
It looks like, so be safe, bigger than anything.
Speaker 4 (46:26):
Shout out to Commat working diligently to get people's power back.
I forget the name of the power group in Indiana,
but I know they're working over time trying to get
that done.
Speaker 3 (46:35):
I know a lot of said one county is ninety
five percent out of power, the entire county.
Speaker 2 (46:40):
Yeah, and shout out to the crews who have Rock
ninety five to five turned on right now and are
listening to us as they are repairing all of our
power lines. Thank you so sorry in advance for how
the rest of your day is going to go, because
you can be working.
Speaker 1 (46:52):
Yeah, thanks for mashing with us.
Speaker 2 (46:54):
I hope you get overtime.
Speaker 1 (46:55):
Oh, there's going to be overtime because there's not just
the power lines.
Speaker 4 (47:00):
Bud the trees because a lot of the one guy
said he was blocked on both sides on his street,
and it's.
Speaker 1 (47:06):
Somebody a long time to get out.
Speaker 3 (47:08):
Some of these pictures look like the apocalypse. I mean
it is like you can't even it's not great. That
scary stuff. So be safe out there on the ground.
Still really wet, trees are flipping over left and right.
So be safe, and you know, hit us up, let
us know if we can help somehow.
Speaker 1 (47:19):
Yeah, bigger than anything.
Speaker 4 (47:20):
We're here for you eight four four ninety five fifty.
Speaker 2 (47:28):
One American woman at your service. Hi there, My name
is Maria Palmer, guaranteed human on the morning, Marge, but
on rockets?
Speaker 1 (47:36):
Are you sure?
Speaker 2 (47:37):
Oh? I am positive. You want to know how I know?
Speaker 1 (47:40):
How do you know?
Speaker 2 (47:41):
Because I am enlisted on the human side in the
Human Vice's.
Speaker 3 (47:45):
Robots Wall News from the Front of the Inevitable Human
Robot War.
Speaker 2 (47:51):
A farmer in China used AI for advice to help
with his crops and wiped out nearly twenty five aggres
because he listened. He grows sesame, and he had used
AI for farming tips before and found it helpful, so
he decided to follow its guidance on killing weeds and pests.
The chatbot recommended a specific herbicide and told him how
(48:12):
to mix it. He followed the instructions without double checking
whether they were safe. By the next morning, about twenty
four points seven acres of his sesame seedlings were dead.
When he went back to ask AI what went wrong,
it explained that the herbicide it suggested is meant to
kill broad leaf weeds, and since sesame is also a
broad leaf plant, the chemical destroyed his crop too. The
(48:35):
AI also noted the product should have been sprayed on
target spots, not across the whole field. You know, kind
of important details.
Speaker 4 (48:43):
So if we've learned anything about AI, you get to
fact check out, a double check it, yeah with another AI,
which why the way makes it useless, and then bring
it up to a human.
Speaker 3 (48:53):
Run by them, see if there's any red flags popping up,
and put it in another.
Speaker 2 (48:57):
Tap to another farmer.
Speaker 4 (48:59):
He would have told you that it can't be an
end all, be all situation. Talk to somebody else.
Speaker 1 (49:05):
Talk to humans.
Speaker 2 (49:06):
They're not going to tell me what I want to
hear and mirror my own mannerisms back to me.
Speaker 4 (49:10):
That's the wild part, because I feel like farmers are
very connected. Yes, like if you need, you know, they
help each other when the you know, yeah, it's just
the way it used to be.
Speaker 1 (49:21):
I guess.
Speaker 2 (49:22):
I also think that it's just an interesting point in general,
that the difference between a plant and a weed is
human discrepancy. Yeah, like, yeah, sesame seed could be a
weed if we didn't eat it, but we've just decided
to eat them, and so it's a plant that.
Speaker 1 (49:38):
Sounds good sesame. I'm getting hungry too. Yeah.
Speaker 2 (49:42):
Really, that's what's seed bunsuame. That's all of us. We're
all of the human versus robot war.
Speaker 1 (49:52):
This one's news from the front of the inevitable.
Speaker 6 (49:55):
Human robot War.
Speaker 4 (50:00):
Parents are spending upwards of twenty thousand dollars to decorate
their students' dorm rooms. This is the morning mash Pit
College is about to be back in season. Freshmen are
going to be going on campus, and dorm life is
a special kind of life.
Speaker 1 (50:18):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (50:19):
I when I went to Bradley my freshman year. When
I got there, I got there before my roommate. I
had blood soaked mattresses. Oh my god, from what, I
don't know, don't don't know what. I'm thankful for forever
for my brother because my mom was like, Oh, we're
gonna go get the ra and we're gonna fight this.
Speaker 1 (50:37):
My brother was like, Nope, throw that thing out the window.
Let's go.
Speaker 4 (50:39):
No, we just swapped a room, so smart, the room
that hadn't been moved into yet. We switched. But the
other thing I took note of after me and my
roommate got settle. I went to high school with my roommate,
so we knew each other, like he's bringing the TV.
Speaker 1 (50:53):
I brought a fridge. You know, we shared the things.
Speaker 4 (50:56):
You go and you walk around to some of these
other rooms and they've got the comfort sleeper, the nights,
the flash screen TVs. Before flashcreen TVs were a real thing,
and it was just like, who are your parents?
Speaker 1 (51:10):
And why is this here?
Speaker 2 (51:12):
Who's got that money that?
Speaker 4 (51:15):
So it's wild to think that on top of what
you're paying for college, you want to put twenty thousand
dollars into interior design for a dorm room.
Speaker 2 (51:24):
Right that's going to be switched out at the end
of the year.
Speaker 1 (51:27):
And shared with somebody else.
Speaker 3 (51:28):
I gonna get messed up, Yeah, because being honest, as
a college dorm you leave.
Speaker 1 (51:34):
That door unlocked, you know exactly what's going to happen.
Speaker 2 (51:36):
Actually, hang on, I want to backtrack real quickly, Okay,
because you know I'm someone that's worked in radio. Get
your kids whatever they want in college that every spring
I can furnish my house in the things that I need.
Speaker 1 (51:50):
Just to drive around the neighborhood.
Speaker 2 (51:52):
They just chuck stuff right out there.
Speaker 5 (51:55):
Man.
Speaker 2 (51:55):
The dumpster diving is like none other in a college talent,
and that's.
Speaker 1 (51:59):
What we did.
Speaker 4 (52:00):
You make friends with the people who had really nice
dorm rooms because they didn't take any of it home,
and we were staying those summers, so we stockpiled.
Speaker 1 (52:09):
I think I want to say.
Speaker 4 (52:10):
We got mattresses, computer chairs, uh, computer desks.
Speaker 1 (52:15):
We we had a bevy of stuff. I'd do like
a dive bar theme.
Speaker 2 (52:20):
Yes, you would have the neon?
Speaker 1 (52:21):
What about a strip's college bro? Yeah?
Speaker 4 (52:27):
Yeah, oh yeah, argue with me. Yeah, how else are
you going to how else are you going to work
out to a casino?
Speaker 1 (52:35):
Casino theme?
Speaker 2 (52:37):
Some slot in there, Like he's got his yoga pants on.
Speaker 3 (52:41):
Upside down. Watch, I can go from the top to
the bottom without hitting the ground.
Speaker 4 (52:44):
Oh my god, I'll use my cheeks to hold myself
as he falls in gets So you just come in.
Speaker 1 (52:52):
You're like, this can't be my dorm. But what what
would you theme your room after your dorm?
Speaker 2 (52:59):
We would be being eighteen years old. You want to
know what my college dorm room looked like? Probably a
lot like yours or Mikey's. I also just had some
sheets on the bed, yeah, and I had a lamp
and a chair and the rest was clutter. And I
was never I'm still like a lot of room people
(53:21):
into my house my key.
Speaker 1 (53:23):
Yeah, is it sale?
Speaker 2 (53:25):
The house itself is beautiful, yes it is, and it
has enough esthetic that I don't really learn to decorate,
except yes I do.
Speaker 1 (53:31):
It's just thoughts of things.
Speaker 2 (53:33):
You know what's on my walls? Nothing?
Speaker 1 (53:35):
Yeah, it is kind of interesting.
Speaker 2 (53:37):
Hell yeah, you want to know what the lighting is,
whatever's on the ceiling.
Speaker 1 (53:41):
You don't have a bunch of lamps and things new.
Speaker 2 (53:45):
Not yet. I'm still coming off the pool and still poor.
Speaker 3 (53:49):
Hey for four nine fifty, how would you decorate your dorm.
Speaker 1 (53:54):
Or how did you decorate? How can you afford.
Speaker 2 (53:57):
Housing and aesthetic?
Speaker 1 (53:58):
Empty liquor bottles? Are you ready? Perfect? Yeah? Let's go.
Speaker 3 (54:04):
Yeah Akadeca Rock ninety five five, Chicago's rock station. It
is text time. They even have fun in here. I
can't believe it's almost at the end of the show.
What a fun day, hump day going on. I'm gonna
be some storms this afternoon, so we read for that.
Speaker 4 (54:21):
I know why your day's been going so well, Big win, Yeah,
Big went all in, Bud.
Speaker 3 (54:25):
Yeah, Maria told me to go all in on the
Cubs yesterday. I did, And look at that four hundred
and seventy five dollars win from the seven Oway So, Mikey,
did you hit it?
Speaker 1 (54:35):
Yes?
Speaker 2 (54:35):
I did cock, You sure did.
Speaker 3 (54:37):
The bet From the eight four to seven. Good Morning,
Mistress Maria, not that you didn't already know, but you're
awesome and I love you. From the two six Oh,
good morning, mosh Pitt. I've got your back on this one, Maria,
since she quote doesn't make these jokes people fighting over
a beaver like that's never happened.
Speaker 1 (54:56):
Rock on Paul from Northern Indiana.
Speaker 3 (54:57):
Thank you.
Speaker 2 (54:58):
Someone had to say it and it couldn't be me.
You don't do to make those jokes.
Speaker 4 (55:02):
Just slash real awkwardly like a schoolgirl from the six
four one.
Speaker 1 (55:05):
See she is an elf.
Speaker 3 (55:07):
It's August and she's already talking about Christmas sales. Oh no,
we did talk about some Christmas today. It was sports related.
Speaker 2 (55:15):
So Operation Elf will be returning this here day.
Speaker 1 (55:17):
Let's just say, if you're a sports fan, Christmas Day
on TV is going to be unhint. She is to
get away from me. From the four four seven. Ron
Is Love, ron Is Life.
Speaker 3 (55:27):
From the eighth on five, Good Morning to the Baddest
rock station in the multiverse. The two I'd like to
see join forces are Professor X and Obi Wan with
their mind powers, they could be a great team against
the Imperials, Doctor Doom, Fanos and Oki Wow.
Speaker 1 (55:43):
Ron did I say funny? Okay?
Speaker 3 (55:46):
So Maria wore a mustache yesterday in here on the
live stream, that's what we're getting at, and the everybody
in the chat has turned her into a meme. Ron Palmer,
now you can see that. I think the pictures still
up on our Instagram stories and stuff.
Speaker 2 (55:59):
So Discord is better though, Yes, the Discord from.
Speaker 1 (56:03):
The seven oh eight.
Speaker 3 (56:03):
I can see Cap and late Leah Leia being attracted
to each other and Hans Solo being the jealous boyfriend
due Invader would be interesting, and so a Deadpool and
Obi Wan.
Speaker 2 (56:14):
Yeah, but Leo would just kind of flirt with Cap
to make Han jealous, but Hans.
Speaker 4 (56:18):
Her guy and they're notkwardly kisser, brother, Can you give
us a little context on what is what they're talking
about here? Marvel has got a big mashup coming in
twenty twenty seven.
Speaker 1 (56:26):
The Marvel Verse and Star Wars are going to be combining.
Speaker 4 (56:32):
Kevin Smith is writing a six series comic book which
we'll see a lot of Marvel superheroes interact with the
greats we know from Star Wars. And it's the Middle
Trilogy episodes four, five, and six.
Speaker 1 (56:44):
Good so not the prequel or the post quote. So
no jar Jarbins, no no judge.
Speaker 2 (56:50):
Prequel is where you're looking for her, buddy.
Speaker 3 (56:52):
That one from the sixth ther zero power Ball has
rolled over again tonight. One billion dollars up for grabs
in the power Ball. That would make one hell of
a vacation. You win the power Ball tonight, which is
a takeaway about four hundred million dollars after taxes.
Speaker 1 (57:05):
What are you doing coming to work tomorrow? I gotta
keep you all off my scent, paying off my debts
like that. It's just laying as low as possible. The
family is debt, Yeah, pay off my parents.
Speaker 2 (57:17):
I'm making sure I'm set, and then I'm finding some
medical bills to pay off. I'm helping soup.
Speaker 1 (57:23):
Yeah that's nice of you. Yeah, that's so nice of you.
Speaker 2 (57:26):
Well, it's theoretical, so I don't have to back it up.
Speaker 3 (57:30):
And finally, from the seventh to seventh Darth Vader and
magnet Darth Vader versus Magneto.
Speaker 4 (57:37):
Is the final test whoa, No, Magneto owns Darth Vader
in that one. Any last minute to too many mechanical
pieces get him in eight four fifty. That's I Prepard,
if you pay, if you.
Speaker 2 (57:50):
Weday, Now I need rage in my chemical romance to
team up and do bulls on the Black Parade.
Speaker 1 (57:56):
Oh that's cool. I'd go to that no when I
was a young boy.
Speaker 4 (58:02):
There's two different sounds. I don't know if that's gonna
it could happen. I'm intrigued.
Speaker 2 (58:07):
I think that Gerard could do some good Zach de
la Rocha style screaming. They sure, I'm literally positive. You
want to know how I know because I got crapped
on the internet for saying dala roacha and I had
to go pull up a SoundBite of Zach saying his
last dame, and technically it's did.
Speaker 3 (58:26):
But like you know, well, I said, who's the guy
on in Aussie's band? Originally that I messed the name
up Elan, No, I.
Speaker 1 (58:37):
Know who you're talking. Sorry, you did it for like
a month.
Speaker 3 (58:41):
But then we were doing a podcast the other day
and I heard Walt say it exactly the same way
as I did.
Speaker 1 (58:45):
And what's an actual rock star? Remember I interviewed him
before and I said his name that way. Didn't correct me.
Speaker 2 (58:50):
I would trust Walt.
Speaker 1 (58:51):
Yeah, me too.
Speaker 2 (58:52):
That's about the only person on the station I would trust.
Actually that's not true. I would trust Pat Capone. I
would be led astray, but it would be a fun adventure.
Speaker 1 (59:02):
Ladies and gentlemen, this is the morning mach Yeah, I'm Maris.
I'm Maria Palmer, I'm Michael. Did you forget No, I
just wanted to wait a second.

I don't think we can do anything else here.
Speaker 1 (59:22):

the show, hang out with us, check crack jokes with us,
make fun of our boss who just came in and
people are tearing them apart.
Speaker 1 (59:32):

chaos after the show's done. Yeah, you can watch a reply.
Speaker 2 (59:38):
Yeah, it's true, the whole thing. Love you four hours
of your time, But what are you doing working?
