Speaker 2 (00:09):
It is also the.

Speaker 1 (00:10):
Return of the NFL with Wednesday Night Football.

Speaker 2 (00:15):
This is the morning mosh pit. I am Maris.

Speaker 3 (00:18):
I'm Michael.

Speaker 1 (00:18):
Boy.

Speaker 3 (00:19):
We have football tonight and then we have football tomorrow
night too.

Speaker 1 (00:23):
Yes.

Speaker 2 (00:24):
Oh my God.

Speaker 3 (00:25):
This is so exciting. It feels like forever. I'm buying
fall stuff for the house. I'm not even kidding.

Speaker 2 (00:30):
You know what? We're here. I'm going to allow it.

Speaker 3 (00:33):
I have my Marshall's Bears hoodie on today. You know,
nobody would have known if you didn't say anything. I know,
but I know because it's paper thin. It's paper thin.

Speaker 2 (00:40):
Is it too short on your arms?

Speaker 3 (00:41):
Too short on the arms.

Speaker 2 (00:42):
Paper thin. I have that problem all the time.

Speaker 3 (00:44):
It's like one of those things where it's like, well,
24 bucks is 24 bucks.

Speaker 2 (00:47):
I Actually, you know what?

Speaker 1 (00:48):
I don't care anymore.

Speaker 3 (00:49):
For $ 24, I know. I was like, give me two.
That is a steal. I'm only going to get one
wear out of this thing. We got Riot Fest tickets today.
Iron Maiden tickets.

Speaker 2 (00:57):
Yes, sir.

Speaker 1 (00:58):
T-Box tickets. Of course, of T-Box.

Speaker 3 (00:59):
It's White Sox Wednesday.

Speaker 2 (01:00):
Oh, my goodness. How did I forget?

Speaker 3 (01:02):
Let's get after it, shall we, with some weather?

Speaker 2 (01:05):
Let's go.

Speaker 1 (01:05):
Michael's obsession with clouds cannot be overstated.

Speaker 3 (01:08):
It went up to the cloud. And you can't get
it down from the past? Nobody understands the cloud. It's
a mystery.

Speaker 2 (01:13):
Here's weather.

Speaker 3 (01:15):
Already a little weird out there this morning.

Speaker 2 (01:17):
Wet. Yeah.

Speaker 3 (01:19):
Going to be rainy today until about 1 o'clock, or
at least that's what they're saying right now. That could change.

Speaker 1 (01:23):
Who knows?

Speaker 3 (01:24):
But yeah, going to be wet all morning. humid uh
high of 84 today but just gonna stay around 84
like you know it's not 84 which is actually 96
or something yeah so it shouldn't be too bad but
gonna be wet i like that i'm not gonna complain
no we need a little water uh the anybody who's
gardening out there will be happy to get a little water.

Speaker 2 (01:41):
Oh absolutely it was last minute pumpkin growers.

Speaker 3 (01:44):
The last minute pumpkin grows i saw the coolest thing
it was uh pumpkin races in a river Oh, the
big gores.

Speaker 2 (01:51):
Yeah, dude.

Speaker 3 (01:52):
I was like, how can we do that in the
Chicago River?

Speaker 2 (01:55):
That sounds awesome. No, no.

Speaker 1 (01:57):
I'll do it. No.

Speaker 2 (01:57):
Okay, good.

Speaker 3 (01:58):
You want to be a judge?

Speaker 2 (01:59):
I'll stand on the sidelines and watch you float.

Speaker 3 (02:01):
With my skinny ass and us pumping.

Speaker 1 (02:05):
As the year goes on, groceries still stay high, and
we've got grocery shopping tips from a mom of 10. Really?

Speaker 2 (02:11):
Yes.

Speaker 3 (02:11):
I like that.

Speaker 1 (02:12):
So we'll get to that next on Rock 95.5. We
are the Morning Mosh Pit in the middle of a
bro week, 2026.

Speaker 3 (02:18):
Yay!

Speaker 1 (02:19):
Maria is on vacation, so we are missing our mistress
of chaos, but we're still here.

Speaker 3 (02:25):
And it's football season.

Speaker 2 (02:26):
Oh, baby.

Speaker 3 (02:26):
Football season.

Speaker 2 (02:27):
More importantly, grocery bills are out of control. I agree.

Speaker 1 (02:30):
So a mother of 10 offering some advice to help
you through it. Yeah, she's got 10. But when you're
when you're when you're making meals for yourself, do you
pretty much have a set?

Speaker 2 (02:43):
Of things that you go to. Yep. Stick with it,
is what she says.

Speaker 3 (02:46):
Yeah, what I do is I go to the fridge
and then I unwrap the factor meal. Oh, okay. And
then I put it in the microwave. I usually do
three minutes. It's only supposed to do two. I do
three just to heat that up a little extra, make
sure everything's dead in there. No, I haven't cooked in months.

Speaker 4 (03:01):
Oh, really?

Speaker 3 (03:01):
I've done factor meals or I.

Speaker 2 (03:04):
So I've got some pretty.

Speaker 1 (03:06):
I won't call them generic meals, but I have go-tos
that I like to rotate through. And she's saying that's
actually good because then... You know where the deals are.
You know how to spot the deal. And you know
what you're buying you're going to like versus getting something
new and it's just like, well, I don't like this.
Like you're familiar with it. And then you've wasted food.

Speaker 2 (03:23):
Yeah. This is a great way not to waste food. Smart.
Work with underrated proteins. You know, steak is amazing.

Speaker 4 (03:30):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (03:30):
But we also know steak's going to be a lot
of money.

Speaker 3 (03:32):
Especially right now.

Speaker 1 (03:33):
You go grab a chicken drumstick or something else that's
cheap and on sale or something new but tasty or,
you know.

Speaker 3 (03:42):
Yeah, get some of that lab-grown meat. Maybe some of
those fake eggs I see in the stores.

Speaker 2 (03:47):
At this point, I'm not against it.

Speaker 3 (03:48):
Well, listen, does it work? Is it nutritious? That's my
biggest thing. As long as there's nutritional value, that's all
that matters. And then trick your mind. Have restaurant nights
at home. We all know how to make fries. We
all know how to make some of these fast food appetizers.
By the time you tally up the appetizers you're going

(04:09):
to make or get out at a dinner, you're spending $ 100.

Speaker 1 (04:13):
You can spend $ 30 or $ 40 and get the ingredients,
make it at home, and you've got.

Speaker 3 (04:18):
Yourself a buffet.

Speaker 1 (04:20):
A whole buffet of stuff.

Speaker 2 (04:22):
You have your favorite meals out at these restaurants.

Speaker 1 (04:25):
And we know it's going to be $ 20 for $ 1.

Speaker 3 (04:29):
Right.

Speaker 2 (04:29):
Yeah. For that 20, you could probably eat for a
few days off that same thing.

Speaker 3 (04:33):
I know, bro. I've been ordering out like just Uber
Eats and I hate it so much. I'm thinking about
deleting the app.

Speaker 1 (04:40):
You should.

Speaker 2 (04:41):
It would force me to cook. And you would save
so much money. I know.

Speaker 1 (04:45):
Because where we all get eaten up with Uber Eats
is the delivery fee. Delivery fee tip. I do the-
Charging on the meals. You do express? Yeah.

Speaker 3 (04:53):
Because I don't want them delivering seven meals before they
get to mine and it's ice cold. I want you
coming right to me. That's an extra $ 4. 99.

Speaker 1 (04:58):
Come see me. But, yeah, we're all trying to help
each other. 844-955-9550. Do you have any tips to save.

Speaker 2 (05:08):
At the grocery store? Join the loyalty programs. Smart. Yeah.

Speaker 1 (05:12):
They have coupons and savings and all kinds of great stuff.

Speaker 3 (05:15):
Store brand?

Speaker 4 (05:16):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (05:16):
Oh, my gosh. Store brand.

Speaker 3 (05:17):
It's the same stuff.

Speaker 1 (05:18):
Get the store brand.

Speaker 2 (05:20):
It's so good.

Speaker 1 (05:21):
Yeah. Lenny Kravitz says, plenty of people.

Speaker 2 (05:25):
Are trying to fly away right now.

Speaker 1 (05:26):
Get those last-minute vacays in before summer disappears. We have
updates in the Western Michigan versus Michigan finale. If you
missed it, Michigan threw up a big Hail Mary at
the end of the game.

Speaker 2 (05:42):
And for what most of us.

Speaker 1 (05:43):
Saw, the clock hit zeros while the ball was still
in the air.

Speaker 2 (05:49):
And you did see that perspective.

Speaker 3 (05:51):
I was like, oh, okay. Well, then they definitely... Won
that game. What happened?

Speaker 2 (05:56):
Yeah, Western Michigan, I believe, should have won.

Speaker 1 (06:00):
The refs came back and put one second on the clock,
and Michigan was able to complete their second attempt at
Hail Mary. Big Ten immediately stood on business and said,
we stand with the ruling of this game. The MAAC conference,
which is where Western Michigan plays, has appealed to And unfortunately,

(06:22):
the NCAA has already come down to say that they're
standing by the standings.

Speaker 2 (06:27):
Of that game.

Speaker 1 (06:28):
And this is a lot more to do with Western
Michigan getting this win than Michigan. Michigan's not going to
do anything this season. The team looks terrible. But for
Western Michigan, if they beat Michigan, they are... They could
get a spot in the college football playoffs. I was
incorrect yesterday when I said they weren't bowl eligible for

(06:50):
the playoffs, but they are.

Speaker 3 (06:52):
Interesting.

Speaker 1 (06:52):
And with a win like this, that puts them at
the top of the outside of the big four, essentially.
to get one of those final slots into the playoffs.

Speaker 3 (07:02):
Which they don't want that to happen because they want
the big boys all to be in there right yes yeah.

Speaker 1 (07:06):
Well i mean they they've basically they basically said that
they want some of the small not smaller but some
of the other schools yeah not the sec not the
big 10 to come in and claim a spot for
the playoff so it's.

Speaker 3 (07:17):
Well-rounded yeah you've got a little bit of everybody but
is there any embarrassment there For Michigan? We can't allow
Michigan to lose this game like this. We have to
make this right. I would have to say that's 100% right.
Especially since they had this happen to them, I want
to say... over 10 years ago with Appalachian state. And

(07:38):
it happened again.

Speaker 1 (07:39):
And it's just like, Hey, Michigan, you got to figure
it out and get it together. Cause there's, there's lesser
big 10 programs that don't lose embarrassing games like that.

Speaker 3 (07:48):
So, um, is there any big games I need to
watch this weekend? Ohio state in Texas, Ohio state with
the Longhorns. Oh, what a game.

Speaker 1 (07:56):
That'll be, I told you, I'm going to bring you
into college football.

Speaker 3 (08:00):
I do know those two. Damn. I can't ask you that,
can I?

Speaker 4 (08:05):
What?

Speaker 3 (08:05):
I got a couple friends who are betting on Texas
to win it all.

Speaker 2 (08:08):
Really?

Speaker 1 (08:08):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (08:08):
I mean, they're riding Arch Manning. Archie Manning.

Speaker 3 (08:12):
How is he? I see some highlights. He looks okay.

Speaker 1 (08:14):
He's up and down, but I think he's figuring out football.
And then it's one of those things where you're a Manning.
You're going to figure this out. If he can't do it,
then they've invested a lot of money into him that's
gone awry.

Speaker 2 (08:27):
Interesting. On the way, we have Pit Happens. Michael's going
to be our pit master today.

Speaker 3 (08:32):
Yeah, I'm trying to figure that out. I think we're
going to go to a football game one way or another.
I'm not sure which one yet. It may be a
historical football game. Maybe we'll go back to the Super
Bowl between the Patriots and the Seahawks. Okay.

Speaker 2 (08:46):
I see what you're doing there. But, yeah, get ready
for Pit Happens on the way next.

Speaker 4 (08:50):
Now, here's the pit-only plug with Maris.

Speaker 2 (08:58):
Plug it.

Speaker 3 (08:59):
844-955-9550.

Speaker 1 (08:59):
Get ready to join us for Pit Happens. This is
the lovely game where we put you in a pituation,
and your goal is not to get kicked out, tossed out,
thrown out, or bounced out by security. And if you
survive all of that, you can win tickets to see
Iron Maiden. They are going to be in town on...
September 22nd at Decretion U1 Amphitheater. But what we need

(09:23):
right now is you. 844-955-9550. Be caller 10. Michael, as
you are our pit master today, where are we going?

Speaker 3 (09:33):
Well, since the first day of the NFL season and
the Seahawks are playing the Patriots tonight, I thought I
would go back to one of the most disappointing moments
in Pacific Northwest history. We're going to go back to 2015, Glendale, Arizona.

Speaker 2 (09:45):
Oh, my goodness.

Speaker 3 (09:45):
Seahawks-Patriots.

Speaker 1 (09:46):
Oh.

Speaker 3 (09:47):
One-yard line.

Speaker 2 (09:48):
We're going back in time.

Speaker 3 (09:49):
We're going to go back in time today.

Speaker 2 (09:50):
Okay. Let's see how that goes. 844-955-9550. Beat caller 10.

Speaker 3 (09:56):
Nickelback's brand new album, Everything Under the Sun, out October.
30th their 11th studio album since 11 get rolling in
2022 the last album they made that's huge yeah pretty
cool all right should we get to pit happens let's do.

Speaker 1 (10:09):
It let's talk to marty from lake station marty how
you doing this morning Doing pretty good. How are you
guys doing this morning? Doing fantastic as well. Thanks for
joining us in Pit Happens this morning. This is going
to be the lovely game where you don't want to
get kicked out, tossed out, thrown out, or bounced out
by security.

Speaker 2 (10:28):
And we're going to guide you through a little adventure. Yeah. Michael,
you are the pit master today. Are you ready?

Speaker 3 (10:34):
Absolutely.

Speaker 2 (10:35):
Let's go.

Speaker 3 (10:35):
Well, growing up in the Pacific Northwest, there was a
lot of Seahawks fans around. And since the Seahawks are
playing the Patriots tonight, let's go back in history to 2015.
The Seahawks had won the Super Bowl the year before,
and this was their second opportunity. Russell Wilson, Marshawn Lynch,
Richard Sherman. I mean, the Legion of Boom.

Speaker 4 (10:58):
Oh, yeah.

Speaker 3 (10:58):
What a team that was.

Speaker 2 (10:59):
The whole squad.

Speaker 1 (11:00):
Down to the wire.

Speaker 3 (11:01):
And now the stadium out there in Glendale, Arizona is
packed with Seahawks fans and Patriots fans. Seahawks fans are
pretty darn sure they're winning this thing.

Speaker 1 (11:08):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (11:09):
One-yard line. What was it? 26 seconds left. Marshawn Lynch
right next to Russ, ready to take the ball and
run it across the line. And what happens? Oh, fathead
himself backs up and decides to throw the ball. Gets
F-ing intercepted by Malcolm Butler. Game over. Patriots win. Everybody
remembers the famous Richard Sherman face when that happened, where

(11:32):
he was like, oh, no.

Speaker 2 (11:34):
Yeah, it's a gut punch for sure.

Speaker 1 (11:35):
Now.

Speaker 3 (11:36):
We got Patriots fans sitting behind us, and they are chirping, boy,
and I am drunk. And I take one step up
on the chair. You grab the back of my shirt,
and security points directly at you and says, hey, what
are you doing to get us out of this situation?

Speaker 2 (11:53):
Oh, my goodness, Mikey.

Speaker 1 (11:59):
Say it one more time.

Speaker 3 (12:01):
One more time.

Speaker 1 (12:03):
I'm offering a free beer for everyone in that entire section. Okay.

Speaker 2 (12:07):
Wow.

Speaker 3 (12:07):
Oh, man. He just pulls out his credit card, holds
it to the sky.

Speaker 2 (12:10):
Rolling for free beer.

Speaker 3 (12:12):
Let's go.

Speaker 2 (12:13):
It's a three. Oh, the three.

Speaker 3 (12:15):
The free beer doesn't work. The card comes back to Klein.

Speaker 2 (12:18):
Oh, son of a B.

Speaker 1 (12:20):
Oh, Marty.

Speaker 3 (12:21):
Marty, I'm sorry, but there's just too many people in
the section. We look at Maris to save us. Okay,
I am going to sacrifice Michael. I'm going to tackle
Michael to get us out.

Speaker 2 (12:32):
Of this situation. Okay, I got him. Roll for I
got him. That's another three there.

Speaker 1 (12:37):
Oh, my God.

Speaker 3 (12:37):
That didn't work either.

Speaker 2 (12:38):
You should have tackled me or Michael.

Speaker 3 (12:42):
Interesting. Interesting. Let's see here.

Speaker 2 (12:46):
All right. Should I reach into my dethers and try
to appease these guys? Yes.

Speaker 3 (12:51):
All right.

Speaker 1 (12:51):
I have passes because I was ready. I was ready
to surprise you with passes on the field so that
we could go celebrate with the Seahawks.

Speaker 3 (12:59):
Okay.

Speaker 2 (12:59):
So I'm going to hand the passes off to the
guys behind us.

Speaker 3 (13:02):
Okay.

Speaker 1 (13:03):
Using my connections.

Speaker 3 (13:04):
All right.

Speaker 2 (13:05):
That's a six. Okay, good.

Speaker 1 (13:06):
That's fine.

Speaker 3 (13:06):
That works. That's fine. You get the tickets. The guys
are happy. I just fall to my face drunk and
pass out on the ground and they clean me up
as they're cleaning the stadium later in the day.

Speaker 1 (13:17):
And Marty, that means you are going to see Iron Maiden.
maiden chiefs iron mating yes no not iron mating iron
different show maiden uh they're going to be at credit
union one amphitheater on september 22nd now marty uh do
you have any plans on who you would like to
take with you to this one oh he's gonna be

(13:37):
my fiance if she's too busy my buddy so.

Speaker 2 (13:41):
Okay okay uh shout out your fiance really quick.

Speaker 1 (13:45):
Alex. I got to give her, you know, she's been
sticking through it. We're rebuilding the house, trying to move
into our first house.

Speaker 3 (13:52):
That's really cool, man. Who do you got for the
game tonight? Patriots or Seahawks?

Speaker 1 (13:59):
I don't like either, but I'll probably answer with Patriots.
Good answers all around, my man. Marty, you are all
set for everybody else. Go ahead and go get those
tickets at Ticketmaster.com. All thanks to our friends over at
Live Nation. And boy... We've got a little update on
Red Zone coming up.

Speaker 3 (14:19):
Help me out.

Speaker 2 (14:20):
What are you? Oh, AI background checks.

Speaker 3 (14:23):
AI background checks. Got it, Maris. Thank you. Usually you
holler things out in here when there's two of us.

Speaker 2 (14:30):
I got it here. Yeah, no, you're fine.

Speaker 1 (14:32):
Of course.

Speaker 3 (14:34):
Many things require background checks in our life. Jobs, police officers.
You want to work at an airport? You got to
get a background check. Now, AI will do that for
first dates. I'm scared of this. I mean, what?

Speaker 1 (14:48):
I know Maria has always talked about doing a CIA
investigation before she meets up with a guy.

Speaker 3 (14:54):
Yeah, no AIA is better than her. I've never thought
to like.

Speaker 1 (14:59):
Look past somebody's social media because that's going to tell
me what I want to know. And if they don't
have one, I'm even more intrigued. So I'm not going
to go through the next steps.

Speaker 2 (15:08):
Like what?

Speaker 3 (15:09):
I may be more intrigued if they don't like, wait,
you go outside.

Speaker 1 (15:12):
Oh, my God.

Speaker 3 (15:12):
You do things in nature.

Speaker 1 (15:13):
But I would I would wonder what are people looking
for specifically when they do the background check?

Speaker 3 (15:19):
Well, there's a new service, Maris, called Stud or Dud
that uses AI to help daters dig up dirt on
their potential dates. It uses data from people finders, social
media accounts, criminal records, bankruptcies, tax liens, basically anything they
can possibly scour the Internet and find. Yeah, that's that's wild.

Speaker 1 (15:38):
I counterpoint this with somebody could be in the second
phase of their life. And if you're going to judge
them off of what you see versus going to talk
to them and find out what's going on. And I
don't like using the extra additional stuff that they're not
putting out there.

Speaker 2 (15:55):
Like if it's on social media. Yeah. It's fair game.

Speaker 1 (15:58):
Of course.

Speaker 3 (15:59):
But if the Internet can I mean, if this thing
can scour and find it. Also, if you have some
horrible thing in your background, like some criminal thing, not
that that technically negates you from dating me. But I
would like to know that before we get down the
road in a relationship.

Speaker 4 (16:14):
Right.

Speaker 3 (16:14):
So it suddenly comes out that you have like a,
you know, a kid that you beat long ago or something.
I don't want anything to do with any of that.

Speaker 2 (16:20):
Yeah, I think.

Speaker 1 (16:21):
And I think a lot more women do the investigative
reporting before dating because.

Speaker 2 (16:26):
I've never really.

Speaker 1 (16:28):
I don't care. Even if I have access to somebody's
social media, I go, they're hot.

Speaker 2 (16:32):
Yeah, they're hot. Yeah, exactly.

Speaker 3 (16:34):
That's the truth.

Speaker 2 (16:35):
That's about where I stop.

Speaker 3 (16:37):
I'll tell you where I stop about halfway down. It
says the tool will highlight red and green flags about
the person, but the CEO behind the service, Amber Higgins. Oh,
a lady. encourages users not to pass judgment even if
the site does and she highlights that it is all
for safety pricing tiers are from five to twenty dollars
a month uh and you can uh check people out

(17:00):
i you can also do this for free i think
right you can google and do your.

Speaker 2 (17:03):
Own investigating it's just a little bit extra work.

Speaker 1 (17:06):
But i guess what is there like a red flag
that you were looking for specifically that you would want
to know before you went on a date with somebody.

Speaker 3 (17:15):
How hot are they? That's not the red flag, but
that's how much I care. I always say this. I'm like,
how hot are they and how much am I getting laid?
As guys, ladies, you want to keep us happy? This
is not difficult.

Speaker 2 (17:29):
Full belly.

Speaker 3 (17:30):
Yeah. Let's go. We're easy.

Speaker 2 (17:32):
844-955-9550. We're two simpletons here.

Speaker 3 (17:38):
Exactly.

Speaker 1 (17:38):
If you have an actual red flag that you look
out for when you're hitting the apps or getting out there,
let us know what they are.

Speaker 3 (17:45):
How do you look?

Speaker 1 (17:46):
I mean, we might be missing over something we should
be actually looking into. 844-955-9550.

Speaker 2 (17:50):
Let us know.

Speaker 1 (18:02):
I'm not sure if you saw the Nintendo Direct yesterday.

Speaker 2 (18:05):
Oh, I did.

Speaker 1 (18:06):
It was all things Zelda as Nintendo is celebrating. 40 years.
I am the same age as Zelda, Michael.

Speaker 3 (18:16):
You and Link, huh?

Speaker 1 (18:18):
Me and Link. The ageless wonder. But it was a
great direct. They gave us an update on the live
action movie. It's going to be out April 30th next year.
So we can point a pin into that.

Speaker 3 (18:31):
Live action like real people?

Speaker 2 (18:33):
Yes, real people.

Speaker 1 (18:34):
I didn't even know they were making that. They have
isolated the two actors. I don't remember their names, but...
They look like a good fit for the role. They
also announced what you're listening to right now. This is
an orchestra set of some of your favorite Zelda songs
that was part of the direct yesterday.

Speaker 2 (18:51):
And this orchestra.

Speaker 1 (18:53):
unit is going to be going on tour next year
and wouldn't you know they're coming to chicago on february
22nd so if you love zelda as much as we
do this is an amazing experience for you to enjoy
now for the main piece of this nintendo direct ocarina
of time is getting a re-release a remake and it

(19:16):
was gorgeous yeah Absolutely gorgeous. The graphics are 2026. The
gameplay is 2026. They even said in the midst of
it that when you play the game, it's going to
feel smooth. Your reaction time is going to be much better.
And they added in the things that they couldn't do
on N64. Something as simple as jumping. The game did

(19:37):
it for you. And now you have control of that.
They're also very big on your diving capabilities. They've added
to the game everything. to add some extra storylines, some
extra discourse between you and the rest of the characters.
but bigger than anything, they kept the game at its core.
You're obviously playing as young Link growing into older Link

(19:59):
and the.

Speaker 4 (20:01):
Caves.

Speaker 2 (20:02):
The dungeons.

Speaker 1 (20:03):
Oh, yeah.

Speaker 2 (20:04):
I know, Michael, you hated those because you couldn't get past.

Speaker 3 (20:06):
Well, I did. I hate it. I ended up stopping
playing Zelda because my brother finished it. But I was like,
I'm going outside too much. But I'm looking I'm looking
at screenshots right now from the new game. Unbelievable graphics.

Speaker 1 (20:19):
Yes.

Speaker 3 (20:19):
I mean, the fact that we can play around in
these worlds and they don't look like block worlds anymore. Like,
this looks like I'm playing a movie.

Speaker 2 (20:26):
And, you know, the O to the OG. It's a
beautiful game.

Speaker 1 (20:30):
I've got it on my Game Boy DS from the
N64 version. But I couldn't be more excited for November
5th to get here so I can sit and play
this and enjoy life.

Speaker 3 (20:40):
Look, if you're rolling your eyes out there a little
bit because you don't play video games, I didn't either
until recently. Yeah. Maris talked me into it. I got
a Switch, Switch 2. These games are unbelievable to play.
I mean, it's so much fun.

Speaker 2 (20:55):
And to that, Michael, skill sets.

Speaker 3 (20:58):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (20:58):
If you are a veteran gamer. They got it for you.

Speaker 1 (21:02):
If you're new to the game, they've got easy modes
for you to jump in so that you can get
acclimated so that you can play a little bit better.
I started on Star Fox.

Speaker 4 (21:10):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (21:11):
Most of us very, I won't say most of us,
all of us excited about this drop. And Nintendo also
has another Nintendo Direct today that we'll be looking for
new details about new projects that they're working on.

Speaker 3 (21:23):
Real quick, Nintendo announced the Zelda 40th anniversary Switch 2.

Speaker 2 (21:28):
Oh, yes.

Speaker 3 (21:28):
They're putting out with the Zelda game. They're putting it out,
but it's designed differently. So it looks it's very Zelda controllers.

Speaker 1 (21:37):
The colors. It's really cool. Green and gold, but not
like that other team from up north. It actually looks good.

Speaker 3 (21:45):
Definitely not.

Speaker 2 (21:46):
But yeah, I cannot wait.

Speaker 1 (21:48):
I may actually preorder this so that I'm ready to
go on November 5th.

Speaker 2 (21:51):
And don't talk to me on November 6th. I won't
be available.

Speaker 3 (21:55):
When does GTA come out?

Speaker 2 (21:57):
November 19th.

Speaker 3 (21:59):
Holy moly, my wallet's crying already. Feels a little bit
like Christmas.

Speaker 2 (22:06):
Oh, yes, it does, actually.

Speaker 3 (22:09):
I mean, yes, we're going to be opening some presents tonight.

Speaker 2 (22:12):
Yes, we are.

Speaker 1 (22:14):
The NFL is back. Yes, sir.

Speaker 3 (22:16):
I don't think in my entire life I've been this
excited for an NFL season. Bears are an amazing team
this year. They have a very hard schedule, which kind
of sucks. But let's get into tonight.

Speaker 2 (22:27):
Let's go for tonight.

Speaker 3 (22:29):
Seahawks, Patriots, Super Bowl recap.

Speaker 2 (22:33):
Rematch.

Speaker 3 (22:33):
Rematch. Whoops, rematch. It looks like 8.20 p.m. Eastern time, 5.20 p.m.
So what'd that make it? 6.20, 7.20 for us. 7.20 here, yep.
They're playing at Lumen Field in Seattle. I've been there many,
many times. Great field. Cool field because the way they
built it structurally. The sound goes up and then comes
right back down on the field.

Speaker 1 (22:54):
I want that engineer for whatever Bears project they put
together for the new stadium whenever they break ground in
10 years.

Speaker 3 (23:00):
The most fun part about that, because they do the
12th man, right?

Speaker 2 (23:03):
Yes.

Speaker 3 (23:03):
But the 12th man, we could, when we're in the stands,
we could actively control the game.

Speaker 4 (23:08):
Yep.

Speaker 3 (23:08):
The Seahawks during those few years had more false starts.

Speaker 2 (23:10):
False starts that you can cause with that, yeah. Crazy.

Speaker 3 (23:14):
So, yes, so Patriots, Seahawks tonight. I got some storylines here.
Can the Patriots protect May this time?

Speaker 1 (23:21):
Probably not.

Speaker 3 (23:21):
Got beat up a little bit last time, right?

Speaker 1 (23:23):
I mean, he probably is going to be ready to
get the passes out a little bit quicker or else
it's just going to be an embarrassing start to the
season for them.

Speaker 3 (23:31):
And A.J. Brown, by the way, Seahawks or Patriots underdogs
by three and a half, I think. Yeah. So Seahawks
expected to win this game, but three and a half
is not much either. New England's biggest offseason ad makes
the first start in a Vrabel offense. A.J. Brown is
a deep ball specialist reunited with the coach who launched
his career in Tennessee. The matchup to watch Brown versus

(23:52):
Devin Witherspoon. I think it'll be a good debut for A.J. Brown.

Speaker 1 (23:57):
And I think May will respond well to having a
stud wide receiver like that. So it'll be it'll be
I think it'll be a little bit more of a
high scoring affair for tonight.

Speaker 3 (24:06):
And May's good. If they can if they can protect him,
he can make plays.

Speaker 2 (24:10):
Oh, for sure.

Speaker 1 (24:11):
Yeah. I mean, like that. No, I thought you were
going to. Oh, no, I was catching my breath.

Speaker 2 (24:16):
I'm fat.

Speaker 3 (24:17):
Also, you got the highest paid corner versus the offensive
player of the year. Christian Gonzalez just signed a four
year hundred and thirty five million dollar extension. And is
expected to play. He'll draw Jackson Smith. How do you
say his last name?

Speaker 2 (24:32):
Njigba.

Speaker 3 (24:32):
Njigba.

Speaker 1 (24:33):
Njigba.

Speaker 3 (24:34):
Njigba, who had almost 1,800 yards last year in the
Super Bowl. Gonzalez and company held JSN to four catches
and 27 yards on 10 targets.

Speaker 2 (24:43):
Wow.

Speaker 1 (24:44):
So bigger than anything, really, the reason why I'm all in.
Fantasy football kicks off for me today.

Speaker 2 (24:49):
Yeah, yeah, that's a big thing. I got three teams.

Speaker 1 (24:51):
I got $ 200 invested in this year, and that's light
work compared to somewhat other people. I got one guy
who's in a league for $ 350 a piece. Damn! No,
you're going to get some updates on how I'm doing
in the iHeart Fantasy Football League here.

Speaker 2 (25:05):
And it hasn't been good. I haven't been good lately.

Speaker 3 (25:07):
How'd you do last year?

Speaker 1 (25:08):
Terribly.

Speaker 3 (25:11):
It wasn't. Can we have some people in to talk crap?

Speaker 2 (25:13):
We can. I think we can bring them in. I
think they'll happily come in.

Speaker 3 (25:17):
Is the champ available from your team?

Speaker 1 (25:19):
We are not talking to the person who won the
league last year, Michael. That's just now. No, no.

Speaker 3 (25:25):
720 tonight. NFL is back. Let's do it. Patriots Seahawks.

Speaker 4 (25:30):
Now, here's a bit-only plug with Maris.

Speaker 1 (25:35):
Plug it.

Speaker 2 (25:37):
844-955-9550. It is time for Fun to the Head. Wouldn't
you know.

Speaker 1 (25:41):
Three-day passes for Riot Fest. Over at Douglas Park, September 18th, 19th,
and 20th. That's next week. That is a hot ticket, man.

Speaker 4 (25:49):
Wow.

Speaker 1 (25:49):
We're going to see Tool next week. Yeah, Tool. 21 Pilots.

Speaker 2 (25:54):
Iggy Pop. Pierce the Veil. Alanis Morissette. Nas.

Speaker 3 (25:58):
Insane Clown Posse.

Speaker 1 (26:00):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (26:00):
William Shatner.

Speaker 1 (26:01):
Motion City Soundtrack is going to be there. 303 is
going to be there.

Speaker 3 (26:06):
Oh, my gosh.

Speaker 1 (26:07):
It's all up for grabs. You got to play our game. 844-955-9550.
Be Caller 10. You're going to answer some trivia questions.
You are also going to get a shot with Nerf
darts if you get the questions wrong.

Speaker 2 (26:21):
And you can also take notes.

Speaker 1 (26:22):
One of us hostage if you need a question answered
that you don't know. Only two options today. It's Mikey
and myself. So all we're looking for is you, 844-955-9550. Now, Michael,
you didn't plan a vacation.

Speaker 2 (26:36):
Over Riot Fest.

Speaker 3 (26:37):
No, you did.

Speaker 2 (26:38):
Who are you excited to see? Tool. Have you seen
Tool before? Oh, many times.

Speaker 1 (26:43):
Oh, you have? Yeah, yeah, yeah.

Speaker 2 (26:44):
Okay.

Speaker 1 (26:44):
Yeah, I love Tool. For a lot of people, I
know this would be like a first time, a first
opportunity for them.

Speaker 3 (26:49):
Oh, you're in for a treat. But also, don't think
that Maynard's going to come out on the front of
the stage. That's a misconception. And the first time I
ever saw Tool, I didn't realize what was going on
there either. He very much just stays in the back
of the stage in front of a screen as like
a silhouette the whole time.

Speaker 1 (27:02):
Okay. Okay.

Speaker 3 (27:03):
Which is kind of makes it extra cool because the visuals,
the tool has a really good stuff like that. So, um, yeah,
it's going to be great, man. I'm so excited. All right.

Speaker 2 (27:10):
Let's talk to our caller. We got Brian from the
South side.

Speaker 1 (27:13):
How you doing today? I'm doing wonderful.

Speaker 4 (27:16):
How are you guys?

Speaker 1 (27:17):
Good, buddy.

Speaker 3 (27:17):
We're doing good.

Speaker 1 (27:18):
We are doing fantastic. Thank you for joining us in
Fun to the Head today. You are going to answer
some trivia questions. You can take one of us hostage
when you don't know the answer to a question, and
we will also get shot.

Speaker 2 (27:29):
By Nerf darts if you get questions wrong.

Speaker 1 (27:32):
So, Brian, first thing I need you to decide is
who do you want to take hostage, Mikey or myself?

Speaker 3 (27:40):
Let's go with you, Maris.

Speaker 2 (27:41):
Okay.

Speaker 1 (27:42):
Very fair.

Speaker 2 (27:43):
Very fair.

Speaker 1 (27:44):
Happy and honored to do it for you. Michael, are
you ready with those questions?

Speaker 3 (27:47):
I am ready.

Speaker 2 (27:48):
Let's go. All right.

Speaker 3 (27:49):
Here we go. What gas makes up most of the sun?

Speaker 1 (27:54):
Yeah, I got you.

Speaker 2 (28:01):
That would be hydrogen.

Speaker 3 (28:02):
All right. One for one with the save.

Speaker 1 (28:05):
All right.

Speaker 2 (28:05):
You have no more saves. You got to answer the
rest of these questions on your own.

Speaker 3 (28:10):
In football, what specialized player snaps the ball during punts
and field goal attempts? This was also my ex's nickname.
I am a long snapper. You're a long snapper.

Speaker 2 (28:24):
Oh, my God.

Speaker 3 (28:30):
What undead mascot has appeared on Iron Maiden's album covers,
T-shirts and concert stages for decades? No, the name is Eddie.
The Iron Maiden mascot there. Let's see. What is the
name of Bruce Wayne's massive family estate? Wayne Manor. My man,

(28:56):
you are going.

Speaker 1 (28:57):
To riot fast.

Speaker 3 (28:58):
Woo!

Speaker 1 (29:00):
Three-day passes to see all these amazing bands brian this
is going to be a great one for you to
enjoy but you are all set who are you excited
to see at riot fest my man oh everybody there
we go it's gonna be a day i mean it's
gonna be a weekend oh a solid three days which
is great rock in general do you have a riot

(29:21):

are they and what's their name they will.

Speaker 3 (29:25):
That will be my wife, Laura, and we'll most likely
be bringing our.

Speaker 1 (29:29):
Kids, too. Oh, that's awesome. So the whole family's going
to Ryan Fest.

Speaker 2 (29:32):
You know what?

Speaker 1 (29:33):
That is a solid family right there. If you see
us there, make sure you say hi, by the way. Absolutely.

Speaker 3 (29:39):
Sweet.

Speaker 2 (29:40):
For sure, for sure. Brian, you are all set, my man,
and congratulations.

Speaker 1 (29:44):
I know your family's going to be very excited about
these tickets. everybody else head on over to riotfest.org you
don't want to miss this also no we gave away
three day passes but they also have single day and
two day passes for you to enjoy as well take
advantage of it while you can because you know we

Speaker 3 (30:04):
Didn't get my tickets and i saw the videos and
it was all amazing and i wish i would have been.

Speaker 1 (30:08):
There don't do that just go get your tickets at riotfest.org
today for joining the morning mosh pit it is bro
week 2026 darn right maria our princess of chaos is
on vacation but you got the boys perfect week for
it and uh we want you guys to go hang
out with clinger october 7th he's got the rock and
rescue bar crawl going on in uh downtown homewood That's

(30:31):
going to be from two to six is all going
towards a great cause.

Speaker 2 (30:34):
Adopting those four-legged friends of ours. Love that.

Speaker 1 (30:37):
You've got cold drinks, great music, local favorites, and plenty
for your four-legged friends. I do believe you'll be able
to bring your pups on the bar crawl along with you.
But the local shelter is going to have plenty of
pups walking around that.

Speaker 2 (30:52):
You can adopt. They'll be great. doing their best adoption faces.
I haven't been to an adoption center in a little while,
but it's man.

Speaker 3 (31:02):
Yeah, well, if you go, you're going to end up
with an animal.

Speaker 2 (31:05):
That's the problem.

Speaker 3 (31:06):
Those sweet little eyes looking back at you. I mean,
every animal I've ever had except for this cat was adopted.
I mean, technically the cat's adopted. I just didn't get
it from an adoption center.

Speaker 2 (31:14):
Well, yeah.

Speaker 1 (31:15):
It needed a home. You know what I mean? It
still came to live with me. But this is a
great cause. Tickets are available right now. And if you
want to be on Rockstar VIP status where you get
to hang out with Klinger himself.

Speaker 3 (31:28):
Klinger's fun to hang out with.

Speaker 2 (31:29):
Bar Crawl.

Speaker 1 (31:31):
Go ahead and take advantage of that. They are running
low on those. So don't miss out on any of
those opportunities. We love Klinger. He just kind of breaks
in here every once in a while and we never know.
It's just like the appearance of a Sasquatch.

Speaker 2 (31:43):
Yeah, exactly. See him every once in a while. You
never know when that's going to go down.

Speaker 1 (31:46):
But go get your details at rock955. com so that you
can be a part of Rock and Rescue Bar Crawl.

Speaker 3 (31:54):
Our man Agro Burson over here checking in on the
video chat on Instagram. He says the NFL and MLB
opening day should be federal holidays.

Speaker 2 (32:02):
Yes, they should be.

Speaker 3 (32:02):
That would be amazing.

Speaker 2 (32:03):
Absolutely.

Speaker 3 (32:04):
Rock 95.5 Chicago's Rock Station. Happy NFL opening day.

Speaker 1 (32:09):
Yep.

Speaker 3 (32:10):
I was watching some highlights last night and I thought,
I remember YouTube back when I didn't have to sit
through ads.

Speaker 2 (32:16):
Oh, my God.

Speaker 3 (32:17):
And I remember thinking at that time, I bet I
should enjoy this because I know commercials are coming.

Speaker 2 (32:22):
It didn't take that long.

Speaker 3 (32:24):
We got a list of things that used to be
free but now cost money. How about just the premium
versions of stuff? YouTube premium where you didn't have to
even watch ads, but now it's just excessive if you
don't pay for it.

Speaker 2 (32:36):
Uh, let's see here. What else?

Speaker 3 (32:37):
Phone accessories used to get a lot of the stuff
in the phone.

Speaker 4 (32:40):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (32:40):
They'd give you the charger and the headphones and yeah,
it was beautiful.

Speaker 3 (32:44):
Now you got to buy all that stuff. Uh, concert
ticket fees, buying a ticket, uh, used to be face value. Uh,
now when you add inconvenience fees, processing and delivery. The
price of the ticket could double.

Speaker 1 (32:55):
Somehow not having a digital physical ticket has increased the
price for us.

Speaker 3 (33:00):
Yeah, which is crazy because it's less work, right? Interesting. Also, though,
if you get them off the secondhand market, sometimes that
you can get like, I think it's game time. Maybe
you buy it with no fees. It shows like the
actual price with everything rolled in where Ticketmaster going to
surprise you.

Speaker 2 (33:14):
So it's just like how the take the taxes aren't listed.
so game time just rolls the taxes.

Speaker 3 (33:20):
Exactly fine i want to know what i'm paying i
don't want to get down there and after i've been
sitting in the queue oh yeah i have to pay
a bunch extra uh let's see here seat selections on
an airplane now when you buy a plane ticket they
don't even give you a seat for free uh you
can risk it not choose one but then you probably
end up sitting sitting in a middle seat which is
my absolute deal.

Speaker 1 (33:38):
With that next week i'm looking at that exit row
so beautiful.

Speaker 3 (33:42):
I will always talk real nice to anybody working there.
Just like, hey, see how tall I am? Boy, it's
tough being tall on a plane. I'd say real loud.
Free internet content. Why is everything worth reading behind a
paywall now?

Speaker 1 (33:55):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (33:55):
I just boycott it. I'm not paywalling anything. I can
find this article. I can find this story somewhere else.
They think those paywalls are going to work.

Speaker 2 (34:02):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (34:02):
I was going to say, when we're looking for details
on something and we get hit with a paywall, that
third or fourth website typically lets us in. Yeah.

Speaker 3 (34:10):
You just say, just Google it somewhere else. You'll figure
it out. Yep. Um, pizza delivery.

Speaker 2 (34:15):
It's fine.

Speaker 3 (34:15):
I'm tipping, but a delivery fee on top of it now. Interesting. I, yeah,
my favorite was the, if they don't get it there,
what was it? If they don't get it there within
an hour, it's free. Yeah. Was it dominoes that did
that back in the day?

Speaker 2 (34:28):
I believe so.

Speaker 1 (34:29):
But I know like Ninja turtles has a beautiful reference
in the first movie.

Speaker 2 (34:33):
The guy's like two minutes late and he.

Speaker 3 (34:34):
Is just, yeah, that's one of my favorites. And finally here, parking.
You used to be able to park on the street somewhere,
and now you have to scan a QR code for
every parking space on Earth, especially here.

Speaker 2 (34:46):
And if it's not a covered lot, I'm like, come on,
what are we doing? I know.

Speaker 3 (34:49):
By the way, those foreign companies need that money. We
sold those parking meters, and boy, are they collecting.

Speaker 2 (34:54):
Oh, they're really making out on Chicago right now.

Speaker 1 (34:57):
What do you got?

Speaker 3 (34:58):
What's something that used to be free but now costs money?

Speaker 1 (35:00):
844-955-9550.

Speaker 3 (35:00):
Text us now. We're reading texts coming up. Right before
the end of the show, Soundgarden halftime show tonight at
the big game. That'll be pretty cool. Seattle Grunge, Rock 95.5,
Chicago's Rock Station. Time for some rock news.

Speaker 1 (35:16):
Let's see here.

Speaker 3 (35:16):
Halftime at Lumen Field tonight as the Seattle Grunge reunion.
Soundgarden performing with surviving members Kim Thayol, Ben Shepard, and
Matt Cameron. Taylor Momsen will be singing from the Pretty Reckless.

Speaker 2 (35:28):
I like this.

Speaker 3 (35:29):
And then Mike McCready from Pearl Jam going to join
on the guitar. Nice. That should be pretty cool. That
says that's the same guest pairing they used at Soundgarden's
Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction last November when
they played Rusty Cage. Chris Cornell, of course, died in 2017,
and the band has only done a hand of one-off since.
And Mike McCready is going to play the national anthem,
which I've seen him do live on his guitar. That's

(35:51):
pretty cool.

Speaker 2 (35:51):
Yeah, no, this is going to be amazing.

Speaker 1 (35:53):
I love that Taylor's stepping in on this one.

Speaker 3 (35:55):
Yeah, she sounds great. I think that if Soundgarden is
going to tour, which I'd imagine they are after this
album comes out, which I have news about, She should
be the front woman, I would think.

Speaker 1 (36:04):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (36:05):
Or at least it feels that way.

Speaker 2 (36:06):
It's a good fit. It's like they're teasing us with
it right now.

Speaker 3 (36:09):
Yeah, and then more Soundgarden news on top of that.
Kim Thayall gives an update on the release of the
new Soundgarden album. We've been telling you it's coming. Last month,
he did an interview with Ultimate Guitar saying that they
were aiming for next year, but they are running into
some problems. He was explaining to Como News about the
album's release, explaining that the band is still working through
contractual and logistical matters. He said, quote, We don't have

(36:30):
a release date. We're dealing with the record label trying
to work out contractual understandings. And you have to think
about the promotion, the production. He said that a lot
of contracts Soundgarden had have expired. So they have to
go back and try to rewire these, which is different
now to redo a contract now versus then. It's getting
tied up, but it's going to be a great album
when it comes out. Chris Cornell's, you know, his vocals

(36:54):
on it.

Speaker 1 (36:54):
So it'll be.

Speaker 2 (36:55):
Oh, I do forget.

Speaker 4 (36:56):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (36:56):
These are like old recorded Chris Cornell vocals. And they
went in, redid the music, and then they're going to
put out an album.

Speaker 1 (37:01):
So the family signed off on this, right?

Speaker 2 (37:04):
I don't know, man.

Speaker 3 (37:05):
I've read so many different things about how Chris Cornell's
mom hates these guys. And I think that's probably, I
would imagine that's a big part of figuring this out.

Speaker 1 (37:15):
I'd have to think that that's where the contracts are
buying tied up as well. But I could see a
situation where the wife and the kids might be okay,
but the mom's still upset.

Speaker 3 (37:25):
Agreed.

Speaker 2 (37:26):
And it's a sensitive matter on that end.

Speaker 3 (37:28):
And rightly so. If my husband passes away and you're
going to make an album using his voice and you're
going to go out on tour and make millions of
dollars off of it, I hate to say it, but
in the world we live in, I want to be paid.
I want, you know, I'd assume that his wife still
has or his daughter maybe has the rights to his

(37:51):
voice anyway or his likeness.

Speaker 2 (37:54):
Yeah, the wife did sign off on it. It is okay, wow.

Speaker 1 (37:57):
So they paid her, obviously.

Speaker 2 (37:58):
Yeah, so Vicky signed off on it.

Speaker 1 (38:00):
But I think the thing that makes this easy is
just work that's already been done. It's not something where
they took AI and were like, we're going to repurpose
this and we're going to make this go crazy. These
were songs that were already been done. They're just being reshaped, refinished.
And it's a nice honor to Chris.

Speaker 3 (38:18):
I think it's incredible. I would love to have more Soundgarden.
One of the best voices in rock right there. And remember,
the big halftime show going on tonight. You can see
Soundgarden performing with Matt Cameron, Pretty Reckless, Taylor Momsen, and
Mike McCready from Pearl Jam out there. For all the
rock news and the concert calendar, just head over to rock955.

Speaker 1 (38:33):
Com.

Speaker 4 (38:38):
Five-ish things you almost certainly need to know.

Speaker 3 (38:42):
It's a hell of a community service.

Speaker 1 (38:45):
I'll tell you that much.

Speaker 2 (38:48):
844-955-9550.

Speaker 1 (38:48):
Starting things off with a T-Box giveaway. The 12 bars
of Christmas Santa Crawl going on in Wrigley on December 13th.
We want you to be there. Tickets available at tbox.org.
It is their 30th anniversary with everything kicking off over
at the Cubby there.

Speaker 3 (39:07):
The 12 bars of what?

Speaker 1 (39:09):
Christmas.

Speaker 2 (39:10):
I hate you. You roped me into that one. Gotcha.

Speaker 1 (39:13):
Okay. But yeah, everything kicks off at the Cubby Bear.
There's all kinds of specials happening throughout the day. If
you want to join in, 844-955-9550. Beat caller 10 to win.
Sonic is jumping all in on NFL kickoff today. as
they have a new $ 7 meal deal as they've partnered

(39:34):
with Baker.

Speaker 2 (39:35):
Mayfield and B. John Robinson.

Speaker 1 (39:37):
The $ 7 meal deal will feature a cheeseburger, your choice
of toss or fries, a medium drink, and a vanilla sundae.
They are working with Mayfield and Robinson because they both
wear the number 7.

Speaker 2 (39:48):
You meant the hedgehog at first. Oh, Sonic the Restaurant. Yeah,
I gotcha.

Speaker 1 (39:52):
Yes, yes. A man posing as an NBA player stole
a $ 90, 000 car. What? This was a BMW, and he
got it straight from the valet at a hotel. Now,
the perplexing part is he had the ticket for the car.

Speaker 3 (40:07):
That's interesting.

Speaker 2 (40:08):
So they're trying to figure out how he got the
ticket and.

Speaker 1 (40:11):
More importantly, how they didn't check in with the valet
a little bit deeper. He was already under investigation for
another valet theft earlier that week.

Speaker 3 (40:21):
People are just posing as athletes lately.

Speaker 2 (40:23):
Yeah, it's weird.

Speaker 1 (40:25):
And it's crazy because it's something that's been going on,
but people are just getting.

Speaker 2 (40:27):
A lot more brazen these days.

Speaker 3 (40:29):
Hey, I'm tall.

Speaker 1 (40:31):
I've been mistaken for a White Sox player. I'll share it.
A woman has broken the record for eating a burrito.
It normally takes me about 10 minutes to enjoy. A 1.35
pound burrito was obliterated in 30 seconds.

Speaker 3 (40:50):
The video is insane. She's not chewing. She is just
taking a big bite and then she swallows the whole
thing over and over and over. I was like, my man,
I'm going to have to watch her number. NFL Red
Zone is going to kick off on Sunday.

Speaker 1 (41:07):
For those of you that don't know, it just shows
all the games as people are in the midst of
scoring drive. So you have as many as about four
games up on the screen at a time and it
rotates as different teams are scoring. A few years ago,
they introduced commercials, which was absolutely stupid.

Speaker 2 (41:23):
And now Scott Hanson.

Speaker 1 (41:24):
Who hosts NFL Red Zone, is saying that they're going
to show. Less commercials, and they'll be of the 15-second variety.
Put your money where your mouth is and take the
commercials away completely.

Speaker 3 (41:34):
I will say that if you're going to do commercials,
do the side-by-sides.

Speaker 2 (41:38):
I don't care. I'm fine with that.

Speaker 1 (41:39):
Yeah, I guess.

Speaker 3 (41:40):
I mean, I don't want them, but if that's what
I've got to deal.

Speaker 1 (41:43):
With, that's better. We'll see. Let's also talk to Diana
from Wheaton. How are you doing today? I'm doing well.

Speaker 3 (41:50):
How are you?

Speaker 2 (41:51):
Well, we're doing.

Speaker 1 (41:51):
Fantastic, and we're getting ready to send you to T-Box
for their 30th annual 12 Bars of Christmas. I said
it again. I know I said it.

Speaker 4 (42:00):
Oh, my gosh.

Speaker 1 (42:01):
I'm so excited.

Speaker 2 (42:01):
Good, good, good.

Speaker 1 (42:02):
It's going to be fun. Yeah, it's going to be
a lot of fun. There's always a great time. Everybody
dresses up, either a Santa, a Mrs. Claus, or an elf,
a reindeer, whatever it may be. But, Diana, I want
to know, who's your drinking buddy for this one? I'm
going to bring my sister.

Speaker 3 (42:16):
She's got all the outfits.

Speaker 1 (42:18):
Nice. She's got all the outfits.

Speaker 2 (42:21):
She just got back from Vegas, so she's got all
the outfits.

Speaker 3 (42:24):
Beautiful.

Speaker 1 (42:25):
I like this that you guys are already ready in September.
And I know Michael's excited.

Speaker 3 (42:30):
Man, baby, I've been ready for the holidays for like
three months now. It's fall. It's football season. Tomorrow's Halloween.

Speaker 1 (42:36):
Congratulations, Diana, to you and your sister. Have a great
time over at T-Box. And for everybody else, go get
your tickets at tbox.org.

Speaker 2 (42:46):
Realistically, December will be here very quickly.

Speaker 1 (42:48):
Right now, though, you've got Nine Inch Nails as we
are 95 minutes commercial free on Rock 95.5.

Speaker 3 (42:55):
The Offspring on Rock 95.5 Chicago's Rock Station. The Morning
Mosh Pit is on and it is time for sports.
What a day.

Speaker 2 (43:04):
Oh my goodness.

Speaker 3 (43:05):
What a day for sports. It's here. We finally have
football on tonight.

Speaker 2 (43:10):
It feels so good.

Speaker 3 (43:11):
It's not preseason. It's not like training camp clips. It's real,
real football. Let's hit baseball real quick, and then we'll
jump into that. Cubs lost again yesterday, 4-3 in 10 innings.
Another disappointing loss for the Cubs after a great game.
I mean, really, the last couple games have been good games.
They just can't finish it at the end. Yesterday, the
White Sox got hammered at home. Pirates 9, White Sox 3.

(43:32):
And that's interesting because we're playing the Pirates next, I think,
at Wrigley.

Speaker 1 (43:35):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (43:36):
Or the Cubs are.

Speaker 1 (43:36):
If they're rolling by the time they come to the
north side, that's not good for you guys.

Speaker 3 (43:40):
No, I want to win some money. Tonight, let's see here.
Cubs still in Milwaukee. First pitch, 7.40 p.m. That's Eastern time,
so 6.40 our time. And then let's see here. Sox
back in action right field tonight against Pittsburgh. First pitch, 6.40
and now. And now we move into the NFL.

Speaker 2 (43:59):
Oh, my God.

Speaker 1 (44:00):
Seahawks.

Speaker 3 (44:01):
Patriots super bowl rematch tonight for us i guess what
6 20 7 20 7 20 sorry they give me
eastern and pacific time and i gotta do the math
It's tough. I don't know why those time zones screw
with me. And I've lived all over the country. I
should know this. Maybe that's the problem.

Speaker 1 (44:21):
That's okay.

Speaker 3 (44:22):
Last time the two teams played, Seattle won the Super
Bowl 29-13 in Santa Clara. The Seahawks, a dark side defense,
sacked Drake May six times and held New England scoreless
through three quarters and closed it with a pick six. Now,
a lot of people saying the good bet tonight would
be some sacks on Drake May.

Speaker 2 (44:38):
I wouldn't doubt that at all.

Speaker 3 (44:40):
Now, Marius, you know this is my first time gambling
with the NFL. Yeah, I've been doing baseball. I just started.
Do I have to pick the person who is going
to make the sack?

Speaker 2 (44:50):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (44:50):
So I can't just pick Drake Mayweather will get sacked
twice or whatever.

Speaker 1 (44:54):
Because I did look at it when you were looking
at it, too, and it doesn't have like a sack
over or under.

Speaker 3 (44:59):
Yeah, exactly. OK, so I pick the players.

Speaker 1 (45:03):
Yeah, pick the player.

Speaker 2 (45:04):
I mean, it'd be like a home run bet, too.

Speaker 3 (45:07):
So Seattle, huge favorites today. Home field advantage. We're talking
about this a little earlier. That stadium with the noise
is a really hard place to play.

Speaker 2 (45:15):
Show up and they show out.

Speaker 3 (45:17):
So it's going to be should be a fun game
to watch tonight.

Speaker 2 (45:19):
I'm excited.

Speaker 3 (45:19):
And then tomorrow night, Thursday, who's playing Thursday night?

Speaker 2 (45:21):
That'd be the Rams and the 49ers in Australia.

Speaker 3 (45:24):
That's right.

Speaker 2 (45:25):
It's going to be a wild game.

Speaker 3 (45:27):
Why do they make these teams?

Speaker 1 (45:28):
Who cares?

Speaker 3 (45:29):
Are they just NFL is a money grab. So they're
just trying to expand their reach in Australia. Sell more everything.

Speaker 2 (45:35):
All of that. Fine.

Speaker 1 (45:36):
And right here at Soldier Field, one of the biggest
games in the MLS. As far as we're concerned, Messi
and Inter Milan will be making their way to take on.
our man robert lewandowski into chicago fire i believe soldiers
basically sold out for this that's.

Speaker 3 (45:51):
What they said on the news who do you got
for this game.

Speaker 1 (45:53):
I got the fire for this game um messi's not
going to come into chicago and take a win yeah
but it'll be good for everybody to get a chance
to see messi play if he actually plays which would
be disappointing if he doesn't wasn't there a big announcement
with him did i see is he retiring he's retired
from international play with argentina.

Speaker 2 (46:11):
If there's another World Cup, he won't play. Interesting. I mean,
for the next World Cup, he won't be playing. He
won't be playing in any more international games.

Speaker 3 (46:19):
But he's playing like.

Speaker 2 (46:20):
He's playing club. Interesting.

Speaker 3 (46:21):
I don't know how any of that works. That's crazy.

Speaker 2 (46:23):
I guess he's just playing professional. He's focused on professional play. Okay.

Speaker 3 (46:28):
Interesting. Man, what a time for sports. Oh, and by
the way, real quick, 20 days till the Blackhawks season opener,
four days till the Bears season opener, and 42 days
till the Bulls kick it off. Actually, in Toronto will
be the Bulls' first game this year.

Speaker 1 (46:43):
Oh, wow.

Speaker 2 (46:44):
Okay, that's good. We're almost done today.

Speaker 1 (46:47):
You got your last chances to get text messages in here. 844-955-9550.

Speaker 2 (46:50):
Text time is next on Rock 95.5.

Speaker 3 (46:58):
Sounds sticky. Rock 95.5 Chicago's Rock Station. It is text time.

Speaker 2 (47:04):
844-955-9550.

Speaker 3 (47:04):
I don't want you pouring any sugar on me. The bees,
the bugs, the ants. That's how we get ants. That's right.
From the 219, first text message of the day. Having
AI run a background check is neat and all, but
it's not going to show other people's opinions of you,
crimes you haven't been caught for, or things that are
well hidden, like a cocaine problem. yeah psychopathy or mental

(47:28):
uh bucenity sorry yeah a little bit of weird typing
there uh that is true but you still are gonna
get where basically there's a new app coming out where
you can just run background checks on somebody you're gonna
go on a first date with i don't hate the
idea but then again i don't have anything to hide
so i'm not too worried about it yeah um there's
nothing out there that i'm ashamed of yeah so i
mean i i got i get it and i get

(47:50):
that It's not going to get everything, but maybe it'll
help somebody. It could save someone's life in reality.

Speaker 2 (47:54):
Very true.

Speaker 3 (47:56):
Let's see here. I'm going to skip that one. Tony says,
good morning, Mosh Pit. I do frozen food and fast food.
I've never done Uber Eats before. You're saving so much
money and never start. Yeah, don't even download the app.
Should have bought stock in Uber.

Speaker 2 (48:12):
Yes, seriously.

Speaker 3 (48:13):
From the 219, having AI. From the 925, see, the
key is to freeze the Thin Mints, smash them, and
then add them to ice cream.

Speaker 2 (48:23):
Michael does not like Girl Scout cookies.

Speaker 3 (48:25):
Not at all.

Speaker 1 (48:25):
We're talking about a new dog treat that the Girl
Scouts have developed, which will be eaten by humans most likely. Actually,
all of them could be dog treats.

Speaker 2 (48:33):
I know.

Speaker 3 (48:34):
They're hard. Because there's chocolate. Crusty. No, I know, I know.
You're right, you're right. No chocolate for the dog.

Speaker 2 (48:38):
I'm going to kill the dog.

Speaker 3 (48:40):
Let's hear from 219. I don't know about you guys,
but it feels like common sense isn't free anymore and
people are too cheap to buy in. We're talking about
things that used to be free but aren't anymore.

Speaker 2 (48:48):
Yep.

Speaker 3 (48:48):
You got a delivery fee on everything. You got to
pay for premium versions of YouTube.

Speaker 2 (48:53):
What else?

Speaker 3 (48:54):
Everything's used to be free uh air at the gas
station air at the gas station how about uh just
condiments in general now i charge for condoms yep come
on uh from 209 it may be annoying that some
free things now cost money but what but what's worse
is when things that used to be five dollars now
cost 25 why am i paying over $ 10 for a
cheeseburger anywhere? $ 10? I mean, I guess over $ 10. But

(49:16):
you find a $ 10 cheeseburger, that's a deal. It is true.
It's just the inflation's out of hand, and it's not
going backwards. They never bring it back down, and I
don't like it.

Speaker 2 (49:28):
Nope, nope, nope, nope, nope. It's actually the worst.

Speaker 3 (49:31):
Let's hear from 209. It may be annoying that some... No,
that's doubling up there.

Speaker 1 (49:34):
Okay.

Speaker 3 (49:35):
A couple of notable messages here. Mike Myers says, Taylor
Momsen doing lead vocals for Soundgarden at the Seahawks game
tonight is absolutely perfect. The Pretty Reckless were amazing opening
for ACDC.

Speaker 2 (49:46):
I love that.

Speaker 3 (49:48):
We got one of my favorites here, and my arch nemesis...
Tow Truck Kent.

Speaker 4 (49:53):
Oh.

Speaker 3 (49:54):
He says it every day. He says we should say
it every day. He says we all should say it
every day. Football season is here, and F the Packers
all the time. Bear down.

Speaker 2 (50:02):
All day, every day.

Speaker 3 (50:05):
And finally, common sense isn't free.

Speaker 1 (50:07):
Okay, so we're good. We got it.

Speaker 3 (50:09):
Get your last-minute text in. 844-955-9550. That's 844-955-9550. Okay. For
joining us here on the Morning Mosh Pit today.

Speaker 4 (50:12):
We are still 95 minutes commercial-free.

Speaker 2 (50:21):
On Rock 95.5. Michael, how are you doing today?

Speaker 3 (50:23):
I'm so excited to go watch football tonight.

Speaker 1 (50:25):
Yes.

Speaker 2 (50:25):
That's all I care about. Did you get your bets in?

Speaker 3 (50:27):
I'm going to... I got to do a little more research.

Speaker 1 (50:29):
Okay.

Speaker 3 (50:29):
I haven't... I just started betting on MLB this season.
I've never bet on football yet, and it's very different. Yes.
So many different things I can bet on, and I
just want to make sure I do it right.

Speaker 1 (50:38):
I'm going to go.

Speaker 3 (50:39):
Well, I'm going to do this for the Bears games.
I'm going to go... Every game, I'm going to win
my bet for the Bears games.

Speaker 2 (50:44):
Okay.

Speaker 1 (50:45):
That's my plan.

Speaker 4 (50:46):
Okay.

Speaker 3 (50:46):
I'm going to try to do the research, try to
get it good, but someone... Well... Would it be sacks?
Drake Bay got sacked in that Super Bowl last year
six times.

Speaker 1 (50:55):
It's a good deal. So we're four days away from
Bears kickoff. We've got Wednesday night football tonight, Thursday night
football tomorrow.

Speaker 3 (51:03):
And then.

Speaker 2 (51:04):
Feels good, baby.

Speaker 3 (51:06):
Sunday. Sunday, Sunday, Sunday.

Speaker 2 (51:10):
Remember when I said it was four days away?

Speaker 1 (51:11):
Mm-hmm.

Speaker 2 (51:12):
You miss that?

Speaker 1 (51:14):
He's so focused. But we're going to leave things to Walt.
Continuing 95 minutes commercial free on Rock 95.5.

Speaker 2 (51:20):
We'll see you tomorrow for Thursday.

Speaker 3 (51:23):
Yeah, Thursday.
