Speaker 1 (00:00):
It's too long.
Speaker 2 (00:00):
Honestly, two full days without hanging out with you, dear listener.
Speaker 3 (00:07):
I knows she wasn't talking to me and you, Michael,
now that what not?
Speaker 2 (00:11):
Well, you're right about that hanging without you, dear listener.
Speaker 1 (00:15):
It's terrible. I don't like it at all.
Speaker 2 (00:17):
So I, for one am glad to have a Monday
fun day on our hands on the morning Mash.
Speaker 3 (00:22):
But good to see you too, Maria. You didn't have
to do a dury duty?
Speaker 2 (00:28):
Ah? Yeah, No, no duty for me today.
Speaker 3 (00:31):
How does that work? Did you call?
Speaker 4 (00:32):
Yes?
Speaker 5 (00:33):
So you call a number call on Friday and you
talk to a human or you leave a message.
Speaker 1 (00:36):
No, they have an automated PA.
Speaker 3 (00:39):
That was great, so they're sophisticated.
Speaker 1 (00:41):
You didn't have to talk to a single.
Speaker 4 (00:43):
So they didn't have any cases today? Yes, not, that's awesome.
What kind of crazy questions I asked you? They're like,
do you have any odd pets? They want to know
every weird thing.
Speaker 1 (00:52):
Well, I didn't have dury duty, my king.
Speaker 4 (00:54):
Oh oh, I thought they. I thought they interviewed you. No,
So like I think they've whittled down the process too.
If they have cases, they'll bring people in or they
have a specific number. Oh so like you only have
two cases. They know they only need like thirty pieces.
Then whole room of one hundred.
Speaker 2 (01:10):
And what happened with me was I called the number
that they told me to call at the time they
told me to call it, and then it's aid, which
courtouse is it this one?
Speaker 4 (01:19):
This one?
Speaker 1 (01:19):
I was like, it's that one.
Speaker 2 (01:20):
And then they said, okay, you do not have to
come in on Monday.
Speaker 3 (01:25):
I was like that for me, you know what I
do want to hear about. Yeah, I'm going to tell
you some good news. Let's get this weather.
Speaker 6 (01:31):
Let's Michael's obsession with clouds cannot be overstated.
Speaker 5 (01:34):
It went up to the cloud and you can't get
it down.
Speaker 3 (01:37):
Nobody understands the cloud. It's a mystery. Here's weather.
Speaker 5 (01:40):
Can I just say before weather, we are streaming on
not one, not two, not three, but four platforms.
Speaker 1 (01:46):
Now hell yeah, multiple streams.
Speaker 5 (01:48):
Live video on YouTube, Instagram, Facebook and now x. And
by the way, what we can't play music on the
stream it's copyright situation. So we just hang out in here.
So if you're bored at work or whatever, jump in
the room and hang out with us. You belt, can
I just tell you it's gonna beautiful day today. Sunrise,
absolutely gorgeous today, and thank God for that, because the
(02:11):
sun decided to show up up after the weekend. Okay, great, No,
it's gonna beautiful. Not no rain today starting at eleven am,
basically sunny. The rest of the day beautiful, eighty one
degrees lower humidity, a little lower temperature, and then as
we get later into the week, it's seventies. For that's
an interesting thing. And I have a little cut on
the edge of my mouth. Oh that's what happens every
(02:32):
chan of the season, because I got it. No, not no, wow,
I gotta get a little chapstick.
Speaker 1 (02:42):
Oh, a little chapstick for a little chat.
Speaker 3 (02:43):
It's it's almost.
Speaker 2 (02:44):
Fault anyway, speaking, I'm stretching that mouth out.
Speaker 3 (02:48):
Damn.
Speaker 1 (02:49):
Some woman spraighter bush green.
Speaker 2 (02:53):
Shrubbery coming up next, propos of nothing Shreks movies so good?
Oh great, I love a good Shrek. Anyway about green bush?
What this woman?
Speaker 3 (03:06):
Is it healthy? Well?
Speaker 1 (03:08):
No, it's dead in fact.
Speaker 3 (03:10):
Wow.
Speaker 2 (03:11):
So a homeowner is going viral for showing herself spray
painting a dead bush green because her HOA keeps charging
her forty five dollars penalties.
Speaker 3 (03:20):
What Yeah.
Speaker 2 (03:22):
In her video, she says, it's not dead anymore. Becky,
they're gonna be like, how did it get green? I
don't know how it got green, but it's green today.
Speaker 3 (03:30):
I like this. She says.
Speaker 2 (03:33):
She seems satisfied with the paint chop and says, I
think that looks better. A lot of people in the
comments woman, mostly because Hoa nitpicking isn't exactly popular and
her frustration is relatable. Yeah, you're kind of an Hoa
guy a little bit.
Speaker 4 (03:47):
No, it's fine because we relax the Glinda's of the
Hoa world. I spy Glenda Despies because Glinda is retired
doing nothing. She is just talking around looking at everybody's
property and going what's wrong?
Speaker 3 (04:03):
And it's just like leave it alone. Uh huh. She
didn't kill the bushes and leave them there on purpose.
Speaker 5 (04:08):
Listen, if I'm paying HOA and I live across from
you and I gotta look at your stupid dead bushes
all the time, I'm gonna be upset.
Speaker 3 (04:14):
I'm gonna call somebody. You care that much?
Speaker 5 (04:16):
Kind of Yeah, that's why we're in this community because
we have rules. We want things to stay looking nice.
Speaker 4 (04:20):
The rest of the yard is tidy and kept right.
Now you're upset because my bush is dead.
Speaker 3 (04:26):
I am up, maars.
Speaker 5 (04:27):
You got to keep your bush fluffing and big on
the street to make the neighborhood look nice.
Speaker 2 (04:34):
For the neighborhood, everyone would never get upset at your bush,
thank you.
Speaker 1 (04:40):
No matter what state it's in. I'm just happy to
see it at all.
Speaker 4 (04:43):
I'm surprised by you, Michael, because you kind of seem
like a no bush kind of guy, just kind of
like flat pavement.
Speaker 3 (04:50):
Yeah, yeah, Yeah.
Speaker 5 (04:50):
What I would do is I would just come take
it off in the middle of the night, uh, and
just there be it wouldn't be no more bush. Everybody
wake up and be completely gone, and there'd be no problems.
Speaker 3 (04:57):
So you take out the bush for me, that's true,
you cause it you get rid of a lot of problems.
Speaker 1 (05:01):
I guess I'm just done into this premium up at
h O Way style bush.
Speaker 4 (05:06):
You know.
Speaker 2 (05:06):
I don't want to pay all that money for something
that's pretty much the same as everything else.
Speaker 4 (05:11):
Wait, are they expecting her to replant the bush?
Speaker 2 (05:14):
I think that that's what they're going for. They want
her to replace the bush.
Speaker 5 (05:16):
Oh my gosh, all right, well Glenda's bush is I
guess you say her name was Glinda.
Speaker 3 (05:21):
I'm just saying I don't know. It sounded old, yah.
Speaker 1 (05:25):
Yeah, yeah, okay, well it sounds wicked?
Speaker 3 (05:27):
What it sounds?
Speaker 1 (05:29):
Yeah?
Speaker 5 (05:32):
What was the soundless? The singing song she always did?
Whatever it is, Remember, it's just like something like that.
It's that. That's all I ever heard. Wake Up rock
Hard ninety five fifty.
Speaker 4 (05:46):
If you've had h O wait issues, I love to
hear your story to Texas those issues. As we're just
going to lean into Chevelle, who's going to be in
town with Breaking Benjamin next month and I.
Speaker 3 (05:58):
May or may not be here for it.
Speaker 4 (06:00):
Mad Michael bat News if you were planning on gambling
on Calshie and Washington State.
Speaker 5 (06:07):
Oh yeah, yeah, I know what it is. Go ahead,
That's where I'm from. My whole family, websit, lots of friends.
Speaker 4 (06:15):
There is just passed down and ruling and trying to
force this to be legal. And the ruling applies to
all bets related to sports, elections, politics, entertainment, culture, tech,
science or mentions.
Speaker 3 (06:29):
What you can do all that on calshy.
Speaker 1 (06:33):
The accidental ad for cal you can do a lot
of that app that sounds like fun.
Speaker 4 (06:39):
So you the problem I'm looking at is like you
can control half of these things.
Speaker 5 (06:44):
Yeah, exactly, Like there's people making a lot of money
over there.
Speaker 4 (06:48):
I could go place a bet on something that I
was gonna do or in a controlled atmosphere and then
control the odds and then walk out a Richmond.
Speaker 3 (06:57):
Yeah, because you could.
Speaker 5 (07:00):
I remember there was what was it There's people betting
on how many cars would go through an intersection on
red lights, different stuff like that, where you could go
technically time it out and you know, keep gambling on
it and seeing how many. I don't know, it's interesting.
You can sort of do anything. But I guarantee you
I've been through this before, huh. Like I said, we
(07:20):
used to play a lot of poker when I lived
in Washington State and one night in the middle of
the night, we're playing online poker and it just shut off,
and it was there was a law that went into
effect because there the Native American is a Native Americas
are a huge group of people and on their reservations
they have a whole bunch of big casinos and they
work with the government a lot, so they don't want
you doing it online or on Calshi. They want you
(07:42):
going to the casinos and gambling, And what we did
that night was we got immediately in the car and
drove straight to a casino to continue gambling, and then
we didn't gamble.
Speaker 3 (07:50):
Much more after.
Speaker 1 (07:51):
So this has been a long term problem.
Speaker 5 (07:53):
Then there's like a ten year break, and I wouldn't
say it was a problem because it was just we
would just play with buddies at home and it was
like everybody put in five bucks something like that.
Speaker 3 (08:01):
So they never go on roller coasters.
Speaker 5 (08:03):
Huh, well, listen, we were having fun, a relashing, damn it.
Speaker 2 (08:12):
But also what happens to all the money then that
people did win? Then illegally they just get I'm.
Speaker 5 (08:19):
Sure, I'm sure at a certain point in effect and
everything before that is okay, and then.
Speaker 2 (08:25):
Yeah, hell yeah, so just get your bets in now.
Speaker 3 (08:28):
Yeah, this new bill is still in the works.
Speaker 4 (08:31):
They're trying to get it to go, basically asking for
a geo fence around the state of Washington, which is
like if you lived on the border, what would you
do or yeah, get a VP of Yeah, it's not
really stopping it.
Speaker 5 (08:44):
I think they anybody who doesn't know about it. All
you gotta do is google it, figure it out. It's
nothing difficult.
Speaker 3 (08:49):
I would have.
Speaker 4 (08:49):
Figured that they were attacking Calshi just because of the
prediction market side of things, where like when you can't
control it as the person, but they're just like, shut
it down.
Speaker 5 (08:59):
Calshi making so much money they do not care whatever
Washington's gone.
Speaker 3 (09:04):
We got focus on right now.
Speaker 1 (09:09):
That's what it sounds like former those Caushee cereals.
Speaker 5 (09:11):
Yeah, that's what I always hought. It does sound like it. Yeah,
it wash. I thought it was Calshie cereal.
Speaker 2 (09:15):
Every time we said Calcy, I'm like, why am I
thinking of like whole green trash cereal that great tasting cereals.
Speaker 1 (09:22):
Yeah, but it was like the first cereal that wasn't pure.
Speaker 5 (09:24):
Sugar true, and that's why I didn't like it at all.
Kicks Sugar for sure was good.
Speaker 3 (09:33):
You want to bet on it?
Speaker 1 (09:36):
Do you want to be in get Kicks?
Speaker 3 (09:39):
Hey, Michael? Yeah, what happened this weekend is sports. It
was terrible for you and I. It was terrible.
Speaker 5 (09:44):
Holy craps down Detroit, down Maria a freaking fun weekend.
Speaker 1 (09:49):
Luckily for me and my guys, we crushed it.
Speaker 3 (09:52):
We'll talk about sports next.
Speaker 2 (09:55):
Rushing and Russian around. I don't know why you're performing
to Oh yeah, boys, what are we doing? I always
popular soda, Happy Monday.
Speaker 1 (10:06):
We're just trying our best here on the Morning Watch.
Speaker 3 (10:08):
But we'll say it at all.
Speaker 5 (10:10):
So there was no baseball over the weekend. Let's go
right to the Bears. Bears have smeared the Browns all
over the field. No, no, you're not ready for them.
Speaker 4 (10:23):
If we're gonna if we're gonna switch to just the Bears,
which I think is a great idea.
Speaker 3 (10:26):
Yeah, yeah, you do that.
Speaker 1 (10:27):
I did something happened with your beloved tigers.
Speaker 4 (10:30):
There's something we're talking about the Bears right now. It
comes one one, Socks one three.
Speaker 1 (10:38):
Sure did.
Speaker 5 (10:39):
And then the Socks were rolling into town. Well, well,
I guess they're in town, just the other side of town.
I just consider regularly rolling into town. It's gonna be yeah, okay,
well Bears one, that's good, Bears three, four, ten. By
the way, a couple of great plays out there too.
They jumped out to the ten nothing lead. Uh yeah,
(10:59):
Tyson the case. Everybody's got standouts out there. Even Caleb
looked good in a couple little plays Caleb. Did I
see Caleb on the replay?
Speaker 2 (11:07):
No?
Speaker 3 (11:07):
No, say, I didn't watch the game. Probably gonna play next.
Speaker 4 (11:10):
I thought he played a snap? Okay, So I saw
somebody else I don't think so, Okay. I mean I
was driving, so I didn't get to watch.
Speaker 5 (11:16):
Yeah, the things that I saw in the in the
highlights and stuff, looked pretty good. Nice to see them
win first game of the season. I call it preseason,
But who cares you guys, fun to start with a.
Speaker 4 (11:24):
Winning You're gonna do that again? What We're just gonna
get all excited about preseason?
Speaker 5 (11:29):
Yeah, sure, a win is a win, no matter what,
even if it was bringing the morale and the team up.
Speaker 3 (11:34):
I love it.
Speaker 2 (11:35):
I don't never get excited about preseason too, Bland.
Speaker 3 (11:38):
Somebody on the chat hit us up, Did did Caleb
play a snap? I'm interested?
Speaker 5 (11:44):
No he was, I swear I saw him. Okay, I
thought I saw him play one. All right, let's go
back to stupid baseball real quick. Cubs got smoked out
at Wrigley two really bad losses, eleven to four yesterday, Saturday,
eight to four. They won three to nothing on Friday,
which was great whenever.
Speaker 1 (12:00):
Socker again, Mike, I don't know if you know.
Speaker 5 (12:02):
I'm upset, kind of a bummer, lost some money. That's fine.
Speaker 3 (12:06):
Crosstown Classic though, starts tonight.
Speaker 5 (12:07):
Yeah, good news. Cubbies in action. Game time seven oh
five and it's the White Sox. And speaking of the
White Sox, boy, Maris, geez, I don't even mean to
talk about this because I know you're a Tiger's guy,
but who White Sox beat piss out of the Tigers.
Speaker 4 (12:19):
It was going to be one of those statement games
where they absolutely needed to come out of this the
way they did to keep momentum rolling into the playoffs.
And I'm happy for the White Sox. I didn't expect
them to sweep, but I didn't.
Speaker 5 (12:34):
Want them to sweep and then come into Wrigley with
all that confidence or this.
Speaker 4 (12:39):
This is why I'm happy that the White Sox swept
the Tigers. So they have the momentum going into the
Crosstown Classic.
Speaker 3 (12:47):
And I've got a sad Mikey for three days.
Speaker 1 (12:49):
So yeah, no, no, no, no tickets approved.
Speaker 3 (12:53):
I gotta get we are going Wednesday.
Speaker 1 (12:54):
They haven't been approved.
Speaker 3 (12:55):
Oh they're not approved, y who knows?
Speaker 5 (12:57):
All right, helped me out with some bets. If anybody's
out there betting on the cross Town Classic, I don't.
I'm not sure what to do yet.
Speaker 3 (13:02):
It can be fun. We'll figure it out.
Speaker 5 (13:03):
Also, by the way, that on the white tis don't know.
Speaker 3 (13:05):
Why, so we figured that out.
Speaker 5 (13:06):
All the time streaming in here, off the air, on
the air, YouTube, Facebook, X and Instagram all streaming online.
Speaker 3 (13:12):
Right now.
Speaker 1 (13:12):
You need Twitter and Twitter?
Speaker 3 (13:14):
Oh yeah, Twitter, Oh jeesus, Yes, that's X. It's changed me.
Speaker 5 (13:18):
Their marketing finally got me. I said, I'll never call
it Twitter. I just called it tex So Week.
Speaker 3 (13:24):
I'll never call it. I'm confu.
Speaker 5 (13:28):
Crack ninety five five, Chicago's rock station. I'm Michael, and
I'm here on time.
Speaker 3 (13:32):
Babe.
Speaker 1 (13:33):
He's screaming too, the way he.
Speaker 3 (13:34):
Talry about that. I didn't might script it. I listen.
Speaker 5 (13:37):
I was trying to set up a camera behind myself
twenty seconds.
Speaker 3 (13:41):
Absolutely nothing.
Speaker 1 (13:42):
We don't listen to you. I Had's not your fault.
Speaker 3 (13:46):
There's three of us doing the job of a few
years ago.
Speaker 5 (13:48):
What would have been about thirty six people running full video.
Speaker 3 (13:52):
Full audio, accurate. Tell us about popular school.
Speaker 1 (13:56):
You have thirty six voices in your head, so that's true.
Speaker 5 (13:59):
No, maybe more than that. Everyone has at least one
beverage that's dominating their grocery carts and trunk space.
Speaker 3 (14:04):
What is it around the room? Diet coke for me? Squirt?
I wish it.
Speaker 5 (14:09):
Damn.
Speaker 4 (14:12):
It's just a beautiful grape fruit grape fruit soda.
Speaker 3 (14:15):
It's delicious.
Speaker 1 (14:17):
Maybe a little too aistic there. Mine would be diet
ginger ale.
Speaker 3 (14:21):
Oh, really interesting.
Speaker 1 (14:22):
I think some diet Canada dry it's weird Canada dryer.
Speaker 5 (14:28):
It's the car just released them dad on the most
popular sodas or pop from their service, and they also
broke it down by state, and one kind dominated most
of the country. And it isn't coke or PEPSI.
Speaker 3 (14:40):
Oh, would you guess that? Those random point right on point.
They've been raining Supreme for quiet some time.
Speaker 5 (14:45):
That's horrible. I remember I was at camp. We used
to have this church camp where everybody church got a
big circle and doctor Pepper was hot and somebody was like,
if you try doctor Pepper, And I remember being like
a child, and I was like, I'll try it. I
guess sure, And I sipped it. It was a worst
thing I'd ever taste. It was like everybody poured all
the soda into one hole and then peede in it,
and then they give us doctor Pepper.
Speaker 1 (15:06):
Another l take from my it tastes like a suicide.
Speaker 5 (15:11):
It makes me want to that I'll drown myself in it.
Speaker 1 (15:19):
But it tastes like when you go through and you
do all of the SODA's. Yeah, that's still horrible.
Speaker 3 (15:24):
I've never processed that.
Speaker 4 (15:25):
But now I'm gonna have to get a doctor Pepper
when I go get some more squirt and then try
it out.
Speaker 3 (15:29):
Don't forget the pee.
Speaker 1 (15:31):
Bold of you to assume that you can just go round.
Speaker 3 (15:33):
It's not technique.
Speaker 5 (15:36):
The seventeenth state last Arizona, Colorado, Kansas are ironically, it's
not really ironic. But coincidentally, Illinois not on that list.
Doctor Pepper not number one in Illinois.
Speaker 3 (15:46):
It's Illinois number one.
Speaker 5 (15:48):
It's because of me. It's every time I go to
the damn Target by my house in Streeterville.
Speaker 3 (15:52):
There's never any diet coke. We're addicted to diet coke.
Speaker 4 (15:56):
It's gotta be the most I mean, I cannot believe
it's not the most Populnoyd dicoke.
Speaker 2 (16:00):
Okay, yeah, that tracks I would think that that's true
because Dike coke serves a purpose also, I know because
I have one every day.
Speaker 1 (16:09):
I call it a fridge cigarette from the internet.
Speaker 5 (16:12):
What you know where else die coke is number one
Washington State where I grew up, so that kind of tracks.
Oh yeah, Washington State, Utah, Massachusetts, Illinois. Mountain dew still
killing it in the Midwest, Kentucky, Indiana, Ohio, South Carolina, Wisconsin,
all mountain dew and diet mountain dew, the Dakota's, Minnesota
and Nebraska. You guys drinking diet mountain dew over there, Minnesota.
(16:33):
It's terrible, mountain done swepts.
Speaker 3 (16:36):
Ginger Ale Maria number one in New York.
Speaker 1 (16:40):
But I like Canada dry.
Speaker 6 (16:42):
Really.
Speaker 1 (16:43):
If I'm going for ginger Ale that I'm going Forners.
Speaker 3 (16:47):
That's a top in Michigan.
Speaker 4 (16:48):
Well yeah, outside of Fago, but but no, Werners is
the best.
Speaker 7 (16:53):
Ginger Ale not a great diet though. No, I've never
had their diet, and yeah, that's why I go for.
Speaker 1 (16:58):
The Canada dry diet.
Speaker 2 (16:59):
But if I'm if I'm having a little treat, if
I'm going all sugar baby, We're going Werners.
Speaker 4 (17:05):
Eight four four nine, five ninety five fifty fighting the
text messages what's your favorite soda or if you call
it pop, what's your favorite pop?
Speaker 3 (17:13):
Sledge in the chat says Waters Betta.
Speaker 1 (17:17):
Here it is the favorite pop is your dad?
Speaker 3 (17:19):
Oh Scott.
Speaker 4 (17:21):
It looks like people are trusting cook influencers over their
own mother, who cooked for them their entire lives.
Speaker 1 (17:29):
Both they had to eat their mom's cooking.
Speaker 3 (17:30):
That's the thing.
Speaker 4 (17:31):
This is the morning match bit. I'm Marris, I'm Maria Palmer,
I'm Michael. Now when it comes to cooking for both
of you, who do you take advice from? Specifically, Na, Maria,
don't answer that you.
Speaker 3 (17:43):
Don't cook that.
Speaker 5 (17:45):
Hello Fresh has pictures. When you get the box of
Hello Fresh, they send up a little pit paste, so pictures.
Speaker 4 (17:51):
Here's the thing for me. I have a great cooking family, amazing.
I get aunties on aunties on aunties who can just cook?
So when a comes around where like I'm over helping,
I'm in the kitchen.
Speaker 3 (18:03):
What do you need?
Speaker 4 (18:04):
Yes, show me how many sprinkles? Well, that's how you
need in this Yeah, and and like you know, there
are no measurements by any.
Speaker 2 (18:15):
That's the difference. Though you have a cooking family, I
don't ear muffs, Mom and Dad.
Speaker 3 (18:19):
Sorry.
Speaker 2 (18:21):
They can do recipes, you know, like they have they
have their specific dishes.
Speaker 1 (18:26):
That they are really good at cooking.
Speaker 2 (18:27):
But that is different from being able to just like
take some stuff, throw it on a pan and make
it taste good.
Speaker 1 (18:32):
That's not I was talking to.
Speaker 4 (18:33):
My mom about a recipe for a cake and it
was it was something that influencer brought up, and I
was like, Mom, this isn't new, and she goes, no,
it's not new, and they're doing it wrong.
Speaker 3 (18:43):
I was like, that's amazing.
Speaker 4 (18:46):
So we were sitting there talking about it and then
she was like, yeah, no, your aunt she does it
this way, and then this aunt does it this way,
and it's just a lot of different processes.
Speaker 3 (18:54):
I'd rather sit and talk to somebody or make a
phone call and be like, I did it wrong? What
do I need to do?
Speaker 4 (18:59):
Versus an influencer. They're on the screen, they're showing you
something beautiful that they can make, but if you mess
that up, you can't DM them and ask for help.
Speaker 3 (19:09):
That's true.
Speaker 2 (19:09):
Weirdly, I've gotten advice from an ex boyfriend's mom that
was unsolicited. She's like sitting there trying to tell me
how to make his jumbalaya just right. And I was like, ma'am,
that's not why your son is dating.
Speaker 3 (19:22):
But that's also now, I mean, there's sausage to that, Maria.
That's not something that you should learn.
Speaker 1 (19:35):
He should know that, right, Yeah, and he did, to
be fair.
Speaker 3 (19:39):
Okay, but why did he ask you to make his
He didn't know his mom did.
Speaker 2 (19:43):
And the answer is because she's from Louisiana and there's
one way to be in a relationship as a woman
in her eyes.
Speaker 3 (19:49):
Okay, that's fair.
Speaker 1 (19:50):
What's that learn how to cook?
Speaker 3 (19:53):
And where was that? Queen?
Speaker 1 (19:56):
It's not for me. It's called get a roomba in
the other room.
Speaker 4 (20:01):
Dolin's here, I come nopear of our Lord twenty twenty six.
Speaker 3 (20:07):
That shouldn't be a thing.
Speaker 4 (20:09):
But eight four four ninety five fifty. For those of
you that do cook, do you get your recipes from
your mom, your dad, other family members that you can
talk to or are you going on TikTok?
Speaker 3 (20:21):
Mom's are making videos? I can follow a video.
Speaker 2 (20:23):
Yeah, they do show you how to do it on
a video. And again, we don't all have your talented
fan Have you.
Speaker 5 (20:28):
Seen some of these TikTok influencers too. Boy, I want
somebody teaching me recipes.
Speaker 1 (20:32):
It looks like that boobs out.
Speaker 3 (20:34):
That's right, it's time to dark out.
Speaker 4 (20:40):
A big shout out to Fan Expo Chicago that happened
over the weekend. I made it on a Sunday, but
I did still go and enjoy myself. Did miss out
a lot because there was a lot happening. I don't
know if you guys know Peggy the Dog, the dog
from Deadpool hanging out. They were there a lot of
(21:00):
fanfare going on for that. Found out that sword yoga
is a thing. There was a TMNT meetup that I
missed up. There was a Boy The Boys the series
on Amazon. They had their series finale, and then they
had an amazing panel yesterday. There was a TMNT meetup
that I'm very mad because it happened two days. It
just didn't happen on Saturday. And then there was a
(21:23):
big Lord of the Rings events all weekend. The hobbitsas
were in town for a nice little reunion and not
just the panel, not just the photos, not just the autographs.
Speaker 8 (21:36):
They called it an unexpected feast with the Hobbits. You
got to have breakfast with the Hobbits is Maria, where
were you? Aren't you a Hobbits this fan?
Speaker 3 (21:47):
No, she's laying on the floor.
Speaker 4 (21:49):
She is very upset about this in general. But it
is a great moment. I love going out to Fan
ex Post Chicago. There was just a lot of great
people out, a lot of amazing cospaw some great.
Speaker 5 (22:02):
I'm just on the internet. I saw some cool ones. Yeah,
I saw the sun from the Goofy movie Max. Yeah,
somebody cost I was like, that's incredible.
Speaker 3 (22:10):
Nice. But me personally, I went in with a goal.
Speaker 4 (22:14):
Yeah, spending two hundred dollars on stuff and things, I
think I did pretty damn good. What you get, what
you get parking.
Speaker 3 (22:26):
Dollars? All right?
Speaker 4 (22:29):
I got myself gator Rade. So we're starting at twenty six.
This T shirt you see right now, this is from
fan Expo art by Quentin. He matches up anime with
pop culture. This is one of my favorites right here.
I got myself a Gundam kit is what I've been
looking for. I've been talking about it for almost a year.
Speaker 1 (22:49):
That's having a comeback.
Speaker 4 (22:51):
What's the Gundam is a mech suit that they used
to fight wars, and that is the simplest.
Speaker 1 (22:57):
Version of like pinky ones too.
Speaker 3 (22:59):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (22:59):
Cool, It's like it's like a lego syc It's not
something you wear. No, okay, what were the ones with cars?
Speaker 7 (23:06):
Get?
Speaker 4 (23:06):
Yeah?
Speaker 3 (23:08):
What were they called? I know we're talking about. Yeah. Yeah,
you can paint them and you put them together a model, yes, cars, Yes.
Speaker 4 (23:13):
So it's very similar. And I've been on this weird
kick lately. I've been buying old comics. So I bought
a fan expel exclusive of the tmn T release for
their thirty year celebration. I got some Black Panther comics,
got some Luke Cage comics, got Ironheart icons and bloodlines
and ladies and gentlemen. My budget was two hundred dollars
(23:34):
and I spent two hundred and six dollars.
Speaker 3 (23:40):
Impressive. What saved me.
Speaker 4 (23:41):
I had to spend cash, so I was like actively
watching it go out of my wallet. And as I
was doing that, and I was like.
Speaker 3 (23:50):
You need to do this every single time.
Speaker 1 (23:52):
See, that doesn't work for me, because for me, when
it's cash, that's not real.
Speaker 3 (23:55):
Yeah. I got to cut some credit cards up.
Speaker 5 (23:58):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (23:58):
Yeah.
Speaker 5 (23:59):
If I'm going from the debit account, I think I'm
much the same same if you went to.
Speaker 1 (24:02):
The Lord of the Rings thing. Just note that I'm
really jealous.
Speaker 3 (24:06):
Which was that. By the way, if you wanted a
picture with all four of them, you know it's price.
Speaker 4 (24:12):
I didn't price out, not I pressed out to tm
and T because all the og actors from tmnt's the
first movie were there. You could yes, so I could
have gone and got like an autograph from each of them.
Gonna be hell of expensive. So I just like, I'll
see you guys from Afar. But yeah, I'm imagining the
Hobbits's photo was you know up there?
Speaker 1 (24:32):
I bet it was fine.
Speaker 2 (24:33):
I bet they weren't even that cool, but just in
case they are, if any of the Hobbits want to
come on the show, I went to a couple of
them so Sunday morning too that I would actually things
you wanted to go.
Speaker 4 (24:47):
Two things I'll call you next time eight four four
nine fifty. If you made your way to fan Expo,
how'd you like it? How'd you enjoy yourself at fan
Expo Chicago? And the second thing, if you had a
meeting with the hobbitses, can you text Maria and let
her know how it was.
Speaker 3 (25:05):
She's really wondering how it went for everybody.
Speaker 1 (25:09):
The emotions that I feel are not so sweet.
Speaker 5 (25:16):
I'm just working off a delay like the Air and
Water Show all week and Rock ninety five to five
Chicago's rock station. Mayries gave me the point to start,
but I waited on purpose because I was standing at
the beach with my feet in the water, ready for
the ready for the plane to fly, and it got
delayed till noon. So I decided, well, it's kind of nice,
Adam's sorry raining, I'll just hang out at the beach, right.
(25:37):
I don't think a plane went in the air till
damn near seven o'clock at night.
Speaker 3 (25:41):
No, it wasn't that late.
Speaker 5 (25:41):
But they need to up the speed of which the
performances are happening at the Air and Water Show.
Speaker 1 (25:46):
Oh we also like them living, do you?
Speaker 3 (25:48):
Yeah? How many plane accidents do you want?
Speaker 5 (25:51):
They don't have to have accidents, But I don't need
the twenty minutes between each set.
Speaker 3 (25:54):
Michael, we have two major airports in the area. You
just point, why the hell is it taking so long?
Speaker 5 (26:05):
Yeah, damn, take it for ever and shout out to
everybody over in Navy Pier where I started out before
I walked across the city to see if I get
a better view because the damn show wasn't.
Speaker 1 (26:17):
Sorry, did you ask for your money back? I did.
Speaker 3 (26:19):
It turns out it was free, So yeah, is look
up now? Truly?
Speaker 5 (26:23):
Once they got my girlfriend said to me over the weekend,
she goes, it must be a guy thing because I
don't give a rats ass about these planes, And I
was like, I'm pretty excited about it. I mean that
F twenty two screaming through the sky, the way they
were letting off the flares like they do to try
to distract if somebody's trying to shoot them.
Speaker 3 (26:40):
The I mean, it was awesome. Do you know the
best play?
Speaker 4 (26:43):
What you get cubs tickets during Air and Water show
weekend because they do that, they do the big loop
around so that you can see it.
Speaker 1 (26:51):
You want to be really jealous?
Speaker 5 (26:53):
Well yeah, okay, I mean maybe.
Speaker 2 (26:55):
So X was a pilot graduated Naval academ They did
a Blue Angel show and I got to watch it
with a bunch.
Speaker 1 (27:03):
Of retired Blue Angels.
Speaker 3 (27:05):
That's cool.
Speaker 1 (27:05):
We had like a little special like VIPI thing like brunch.
It was so cool.
Speaker 5 (27:10):
Did you go through any of the training I was
filming someone who flew with them in. One of them
a radio person. I didn't get to go, but they went.
The training is crazy. I got start passing out in
the plane.
Speaker 1 (27:21):
Yeah, it'll make you watch Superman differently.
Speaker 2 (27:24):
You see him take off like you'd be dead's an alien.
Speaker 3 (27:27):
It's fine, that's true.
Speaker 1 (27:28):
But when he rescues people, Oh they'd good there.
Speaker 3 (27:31):
Yeah they're die. No, they're dead.
Speaker 5 (27:33):
She said that once she got up in the air,
he goes, well, what do you want to do? And
he goes, you want to go to the coast, because
they were in Seattle, and he just out to the
you know, to the Washington coast line. I mean, it
wasn't just the Puget Sound right there, but flew her
out over the Olympic Mountains, upside down, over the Olympics,
and then back over the coast and then back in.
Speaker 3 (27:50):
Oh my god, I'd be so wet. Yeah, i'd be wet,
covered in Yeah, exactly. I always wonder i'd come back
just like wiping.
Speaker 4 (28:00):
Its like you've got the little face mask on and
it's just dribbling at the bottom or it's dribbling up.
Speaker 1 (28:07):
Or not.
Speaker 3 (28:08):
Like no, absolutely not. I don't want that. I don't
want to smell my vomit. I'd be a mess.
Speaker 5 (28:15):
No, I mean it was fine. It was nice that
there was no no rain. Rain stayed away. It was
fairly warm. Tons of people out there on the waterfront
watching and hanging out. I actually really like the helicopters,
to be honest. They fly them like right over the
top of people. The helicopters are incredible.
Speaker 1 (28:30):
There are a bunch of geese playing in their v formations.
Speaker 2 (28:32):
He saw that and someone took a video and said, oh,
Canadian air Force air and water.
Speaker 3 (28:38):
That's good. Hey, Maria, bring up the room unless do
bad news.
Speaker 1 (28:48):
Those news.
Speaker 3 (28:52):
I had such a good weekend and you're going to
bring the room down like this.
Speaker 2 (28:55):
I'm going to bring it up. It's the headlines that
are the problem, not me. Do you see how those
are written. It's that the worst things you've ever heard
and seen in your life in front of your face
every day, and they we're leg why do we have
a mental health crisis? Luckily we hear on the morning
mash bit. We're going to put a positive spin on
those headlines.
Speaker 3 (29:12):
This is get you with here.
Speaker 1 (29:18):
A Microsoft exac was gunned down in the middle of
the Road. Prosecutors say it was an elaborate plot.
Speaker 3 (29:25):
Yeah, it sounds like it. That's terrible.
Speaker 2 (29:28):
Yeah, I remember when Microsoft used to be free and
now you have to sign in poddle.
Speaker 1 (29:33):
Bill Gates teks me homicidal.
Speaker 2 (29:35):
Too, one killed, four injured and shooting at park in Kentucky.
Speaker 3 (29:42):
It's terrible.
Speaker 1 (29:43):
Yeah, it's bad. I'll have a little ladder for that.
Do you charge with murder of mother? And brother?
Speaker 2 (29:48):
Used chat gpt to create fantasy stories about killing family.
Speaker 5 (29:53):
Officials say, hey, chat GPT be a narc It'll help
you do anything you want.
Speaker 1 (29:59):
God forbid our dreams into reality, you know.
Speaker 2 (30:02):
Suspect in Virginia State University shooting. He's arrested after police
find him hiding in a closet. No, no, Kevin Spacey
tried to pull this movie. Can't just come out of
the closet and get away.
Speaker 1 (30:15):
With the crimes.
Speaker 5 (30:15):
Then yeah, moves beers, Oh my god, yeah, home run
the game.
Speaker 3 (30:23):
There was absolutely a walk off.
Speaker 2 (30:28):
No, no, if none of Israel, It's all just a
house of cars. Don't you forget about us? On the
morning Mash Been on Rock ninety five to five. The
dating app industry may be breaking up with the swipe, So.
Speaker 3 (30:45):
What are they going to do instead?
Speaker 1 (30:46):
I don't know. Let's find out.
Speaker 2 (30:47):
Companies like Bumble and Tinder are moving away from the
endless left right swiping that made them famous and are
focusing more on better matches in real life connections that
can't be real.
Speaker 1 (30:58):
Users, especially gen Z, say they're.
Speaker 2 (31:01):
Tired of scrolling through countless profiles only to end up
in conversation that never leads anywhere.
Speaker 3 (31:06):
Truth.
Speaker 2 (31:06):
Dating apps are seeing fewer users and downloads, so they're
experimenting with features like AI powered matchmaking. Yeah, personalized recommendations
and even better, in person events designed to get people
off their phones and into actual dates.
Speaker 1 (31:21):
Yeah, they're trying to run their own business into the ground.
Speaker 2 (31:23):
I don't believe that basically, dating apps are shifting from
more matches to.
Speaker 1 (31:27):
Better matches according to who.
Speaker 3 (31:29):
Let's go according to who.
Speaker 5 (31:34):
They're matching you, they're making if you have schedules that
work together, they're going to put you together like that.
If you have similar interests, they're gonna send those people
your way.
Speaker 3 (31:42):
Maybe I don't think absolutely. You know, I don't want
people with similar interests.
Speaker 2 (31:46):
I don't want to date someone in entertainment, so that
is a whole field of people that it would absolutely
match me with, and they'd be like, you want a
creative type.
Speaker 1 (31:55):
No, no, there's only room for one.
Speaker 4 (31:57):
Of those for relationships that's interesting figured at least for me,
it's like one of the things that is like a
higher on my list because they get it. Yeah, I agree,
I think that would help me. There's like no questions.
It's like, hey, this is going on, and it's like
I got you. I'm going to like what do you
need right now?
Speaker 5 (32:14):
You know, like I think, Marie, I think you do
well dating a rock star of some sort and they
don't have to be super famous or anything. But there
is an element that I see in your life where
you try to date people and people treat you differently
because of your job. And that sucks because we've bought
Marrison and I both dealt the same thing, not on
that kind of a level, but I do think about that.
Speaker 2 (32:33):
But I also think that those people that have treated
me differently are people that have like watched the show,
so they already have some version.
Speaker 5 (32:39):
Of anybody would. If you don't know someone, they're going
to look you up online. They're going to know a
bunch of stuff.
Speaker 3 (32:44):
About. I mean, I guess that's what anybody is.
Speaker 2 (32:46):
I was gonna say, like, everyone has social media, and
let's be real, like, as much as I do bits
and stuff, I kind of the appeal of my social
media not to toot my own horn, but it baby
is that it's it is much more personal and I
am posting like any normal person would on social media.
I just have a couple more followers, but like, no, see,
part of the issue too is that I'm competitive and
(33:08):
if I date someone in the same field as me.
Speaker 3 (33:11):
Not bad.
Speaker 1 (33:11):
Am I going to compete?
Speaker 5 (33:12):
You guys could raise each other's You're right, No, I'm
gonna win, but maybe the other person would want to
run along with you.
Speaker 3 (33:20):
I was going to say, you, rare, you could win together.
Speaker 2 (33:23):
Rare that I find a dude that has an ego
that can actually put up with that. I actually think
that that was the majority of the problem with the
last one, and why he ghosted was because it was like, well,
we started this cute little competition thing and then I
would that way and you did not, and it didn't work.
Speaker 3 (33:39):
Hey, look you just rocket shit last or not?
Speaker 1 (33:42):
And I think it's going to be a long, long time.
Speaker 5 (33:46):
Les Palmer, Baby, here we go.
Speaker 2 (33:52):
You know what I like more than dating apps is
I'm seeing some of these things like Hinge and stuff
do live in person events and they're doing like run
clubs or just something to that extent.
Speaker 1 (34:03):
Give me that.
Speaker 6 (34:03):
Don't want the pa C HIHD one Chicago.
Speaker 3 (34:17):
You are immersed in.
Speaker 6 (34:19):
The Morning Most Bitch Rock twenty five five five ish
things you almost certainly need to know.
Speaker 3 (34:26):
It's the hell of a community service.
Speaker 6 (34:28):
I'll tell you that much.
Speaker 7 (34:29):
Thanks.
Speaker 4 (34:30):
Eight four four nine five ninety five fifty. We want
you to spend the Wheel of Rock, and I gotta
tell you we getting down to the nitty gritty of
shows that are available this summer. We're running out of summer,
but we still got tickets for yourself if you want
to spend the Wheel of Rock. B. Collerton eight four
four nine five ninety five fifty. I believe we all
(34:54):
woke up to some very sad news this morning. Hay
and ten a year passed away last night. You'll know
her as an actress in Heroes, Remember the Titans, Nashville,
Bring It On, and just so many other great movies.
No word on cause of just yet, but as we
(35:14):
find things out we will keep you updated.
Speaker 3 (35:16):
Our thoughts and prayers going out to her and her family.
Speaker 4 (35:20):
Snowplows had to be broken out in Colorado over the
weekend because.
Speaker 3 (35:24):
Of heavy heel. Oh yeah, I can't get through that
very well.
Speaker 4 (35:29):
A very big hailstorm a hit and it covered inches
of the road.
Speaker 3 (35:36):
I wish she was. It was wild to see because
like I saw it and I was like, what is
this ash on the road?
Speaker 4 (35:42):
But no, there's just a big hailstorm because mother Nature's
having a wild twenty twenty six.
Speaker 3 (35:47):
I heard winter is supposed to be really bad this year.
Speaker 4 (35:49):
That sounds great, Michael, thank you for that. Le's staye as,
I mean really good. We have a new champion of
the World's Ugliest All introducing Jenny Lou, the rescue pug.
Speaker 3 (36:04):
Shut up, Maria, I don't know.
Speaker 4 (36:11):
Yeah, I don't know if you have seen Jenny Lou
floating around the internet just yet, but she is a pug,
one of my least favorite dogs.
Speaker 3 (36:19):
That way, I don't like.
Speaker 1 (36:21):
Used to be straight out and then.
Speaker 3 (36:22):
You kick them.
Speaker 4 (36:23):
Definitely didn't happen like that, But Jenny Lou is one
of those dogs that has their tongue hanging out of
their mouth.
Speaker 3 (36:30):
Yeah, And I think that's why people like it so much.
Speaker 4 (36:33):
The competition does want to remind people that they are
celebrating unusual looking dogs.
Speaker 3 (36:37):
And promoting adoption all at the same time. That's what
they said.
Speaker 5 (36:43):
Wasn't that dog at the comic fest thing you're out
this weekend fan fest?
Speaker 3 (36:46):
That was a different dog with the same tongue disease.
Speaker 5 (36:48):
From the Deadpool movies. Right, Yes, that's the only one
I want to picture. Let's screw the Hobbits.
Speaker 3 (36:53):

Speaker 3 (37:45):

Speaker 1 (37:47):

me in a way that we cannot address. I can't
stand either one of you right now. Eight four four
ninety five fifty. I do need you for this party.
Speaker 1 (39:33):
It's oh now you need me.
Speaker 4 (39:36):
You're gonna be put in a situation where you don't
want to get kicked out, tossed out, thrown out or
bounced out by security. Although I'm going to throw both

You said, Michael, you got it happens today because remember
I have a very specific.
Speaker 1 (40:07):
All right, let's let Mikey do it.
Speaker 4 (40:09):
Yeah, let's let Michael do it. Sorry, we're going to
the Crosstown Classic. Oh yeah, Michael, we're a mess.
Speaker 3 (40:17):
Actually, you know what? Are you ready now? Yeah?
Speaker 4 (40:19):

We're chilling, we're drinking beers. The weather's perfect. You look
out in the field. Teams are playing.
Speaker 3 (41:08):
Well. Are you a Cubs fanny a Socks fan?
Speaker 5 (41:12):
I would have to say Cubs? All right, So Tommy's
in a great mood. I'm in a great mood. Maris
is a great one. Matter of fact, it's Wrigglyville, It's
wriggly Field, the landmark, it's historic, and everybody, even white
Sox fans, very happy to be there. Turns out no
problems at all, Tommy, you win. No need to get
(41:32):
kicked out, popped out, bounced out or anything. We're having
a great time. And Maria, will you roll to see
if he wins? Any number wins? Tommy, here we go.
Speaker 1 (41:42):
It's literally a one.
Speaker 3 (41:43):
You're the wind. Everybody's having fun.
Speaker 1 (41:48):
I should have done it. I should have done it.
Speaker 4 (41:52):
Is in a great mood today, Tommy, I literally landed
on one. It's the perfect Monday for you, perfect time
for you to call. And you're going to see Blur.
You're going to see Black Label Society at air gund
Ballroom on Saturday, September twelfth.
Speaker 3 (42:07):
Who do you plan on taking with you for this one?
Speaker 5 (42:11):
I have no idea.
Speaker 3 (42:12):
Okay, I got time to figure it out.
Speaker 4 (42:14):
Yeah, you have some time to figure it out, friend Ron. Sure, Yeah, Tommy,
you are all set, my man. Thank you for calling
in today. Everybody else, uh go get your tickets at
Ticketmaster dot com all thanks to our friends from Live Nation.
Speaker 3 (42:27):
What are you laughing at me?
Speaker 1 (42:29):
What is even happening today?
Speaker 3 (42:31):
It's Monday? What do you expect to happen? We're having
a good time.
Speaker 2 (42:34):
Monday of Mondays on the Morning marsh Pit, and honestly,
we're just glad you're along for the ride.
Speaker 3 (42:40):
For whatever reason, we appreciate it. Nobody's getting kicked out, bounced.
Speaker 1 (42:43):
Out, tossed out, or thrown out by security.
Speaker 4 (42:46):
Except for these outdated advice that we have from the boomers.
Speaker 3 (42:51):
Oh boy, if you gonna talk out dated advice again,
I like this. Yes, these are my favorite. It's bad.
Speaker 1 (42:56):
Some advice is ever green?
Speaker 3 (42:58):
Is that?
Speaker 4 (42:59):
No?
Speaker 2 (42:59):
Not?
Speaker 3 (43:00):
This is Oh my god, save your money. That's what
my parents always say.
Speaker 1 (43:03):
We have a new artist on Rock ninety five to five,
bunge of these.
Speaker 3 (43:10):
Rock ninety five to five.
Speaker 4 (43:12):
We are the Morning Mashpit with a list of really
outdated life advice from boomers.
Speaker 3 (43:16):
I love this.
Speaker 1 (43:17):
That's great.
Speaker 4 (43:19):
I went through the list earlier but didn't go through
all of it, and I was like, man, this is
like out of context.
Speaker 3 (43:25):
Settle down early.
Speaker 5 (43:27):
I've heard that from a number of people who I
know who are the most successful people. I know successfully,
they're healthy people. They have tons and tons of money.
I'm talking like hundreds of millions of dollars. They both
say the same thing. They say, get married and have kids.
But like are they happy?
Speaker 3 (43:43):
Yeah? Were they rich when they had this.
Speaker 5 (43:45):
They're actually both poor. That's one of the reasons they
said to do it. One of the things he said.
One of them told me, he goes, you don't know
how hard you can work and how much you can
have to work for until you see your children.
Speaker 3 (43:58):
Oh that kind of thing of a motivator. That's interesting.
Speaker 1 (44:01):
Are these people cheating on their spouses? Nope, no, no,
all right, not that I know of, is the thing.
I have one divorce that is maybe not.
Speaker 2 (44:12):
And by the way, that statistically, if you get married younger,
you're more statistically likely to get divorced.
Speaker 3 (44:17):
I've seen that a little bit more. I think back
in the day, right, people like held on to each
other more than we do now.
Speaker 4 (44:22):
I think they were cause like there was cause to
like the world was so there's no one else out
in the woods, ye out this farting literally, uh be
loyal to.
Speaker 3 (44:33):
A company to move up the corporate ladder.
Speaker 2 (44:37):
I say that like I haven't been loyal your career
to company, and it is working out for me, but
also very.
Speaker 4 (44:43):
Specific I've worked for two but for everybody that I
know that bounces, they are doing great.
Speaker 1 (44:48):
He makes so much more money.
Speaker 4 (44:49):
They're doing so well. And it's true, Uh, save every
penny you can. My parents say this every time, and
they said, are you saving money? I said, well, finally
I am a little bit.
Speaker 1 (44:58):
But if only it would make a difference in my
life at all, whatsoever.
Speaker 4 (45:02):
But it's also like we're living in a time where
inflation is so bad. Everything is so upside down as
far as costs go. I was listening to NPR and
they're like, a gas price is being driven so high
right now. It's ruining everything for everything that people are
trying to do well.
Speaker 3 (45:19):
And the money doesn't cut. The prices don't come back down.
Speaker 5 (45:21):
They keep going up, right, But businesses aren't going to go, oh, yeah,
by the way, we forgot we put those up a
few years ago.
Speaker 3 (45:26):
Let's bring it all back down. No, don't wait to
have children.
Speaker 5 (45:32):
That's what I keep hearing, and I did, and I
feel like maybe I missed the boat. A little bit
of medicine and technology has proven you can have kids later.
Speaker 1 (45:39):
Have we watched teen Mom?
Speaker 3 (45:41):
I think I can wait. That has absolutely pushed some
of the ages back.
Speaker 5 (45:45):
But then I walk through a target and I see
some kids screaming in the look on their parents' face
of just like ah, I think, I don't know, maybe
I didn't miss that.
Speaker 3 (45:53):
That's on them and how they work with their childs.
Speaker 5 (45:55):
Un till your frontal lobe is developed someday.
Speaker 3 (45:58):
Get there, your head down and don't complain. Okay, nobody
likes a complainer. If you can't speak up for yourself too, right.
Speaker 2 (46:07):
Keeping your head down isn't going to get you anywhere.
And also standing up for yourself is very important. You
don't want to be run over.
Speaker 3 (46:13):
Just work hard and you'll succeed financially.
Speaker 5 (46:17):
Absolutely, I would say that hard work definitely adds to
the opportunity for success. If you get out and you
bust your ass, you're more opportunity.
Speaker 2 (46:26):
I mean, that can be true, and it has been
in your experience and in my experience, but that's not
the case across the board. Sometimes you just bust your
ass and then you're tired at the end of the day,
and that's what that got to.
Speaker 3 (46:36):
Yeah, very much.
Speaker 5 (46:37):
So stay in a relationship and work through it no
matter what. Until my parents did and they are old
and in love. Still bumpy road throughout, but I think
that's with anybody and anything. You're never going to have
this perfect relation.
Speaker 3 (46:50):
Some roads absolutely need to be cut off. Yeah, I
agree with that.
Speaker 1 (46:53):
I also think that they're just different lifestyles.
Speaker 2 (46:55):
And for a long time, and especially in that boomer generation,
there was a correct way to live and it was
have kids settled down, to get married, YadA YadA, And
that is one way to live. And it's another way
to live, to be more focused on your career and
have relationships come and go.
Speaker 1 (47:11):
And I don't think that either is more valid than
the other.
Speaker 3 (47:14):
And finally, on a show like this, never voice your opinions.
I don't do that. I've never given an opinion about anything.
Speaker 4 (47:24):
No, it's not possible for anybody in this room. Those
weren't horrible. They are they're dated a little by data.
Speaker 3 (47:31):
They're definitely dated. Not as bad as I thought eight
four or no, at least.
Speaker 1 (47:35):
It's not like go try to turn your resume in
in person.
Speaker 4 (47:39):
Yeah, they're like, you know, we have a website, right,
Ladies and gentlemen, we are on our way to ninety
five minutes commercial free.
Speaker 3 (47:47):
That is next on Rock ninety five to five. Crosstown
Classics starts tonight. Rock ninety five five, Chicago's rock.
Speaker 4 (47:54):
Station, Go Comes, Go Baby and sucks all about the
White Sox.
Speaker 3 (48:01):
I think the Cubs win this one handling that with
this pitching matchup tonight.
Speaker 1 (48:06):
You do whatever you need with your hands. But we're
gonna go win again.
Speaker 4 (48:09):
And the White Sox just teed off on the Tigers
for three straight games.
Speaker 3 (48:15):
They are ready to go.
Speaker 5 (48:16):
Who plays harder a team that swept the last team
or a team that got.
Speaker 1 (48:19):
Beat I guess we're gonna find out when we beat.
Speaker 5 (48:22):
Your I think the Cubs come out swinging harder because
they got embarrassed.
Speaker 3 (48:25):
And yes, I said embarrassed. I know you guys listen. Wow.
Speaker 1 (48:28):
I think the Socks keep up their momentum.
Speaker 3 (48:31):
Yeahs all the moments in swing that is Sports Station
Brooke to play the Cardinals this weekend. The Cubs did
like sometimes it's happened.
Speaker 4 (48:41):
How do you justify that the Cubs are going to
be ready for the White Sox right now? Mike, I
just think the Cubs are a lot better team in general.
I think the White Sox look good in their division,
but that division also isn't the best division in baseball, So.
Speaker 5 (48:51):
I'm just saying, but I think it could be good.
I mean, look, I thought they beat them in the
last one too, and they didn't. White Sox won two
out of the three when they were at rate field.
Speaker 1 (49:00):
Well, they got the Maria Palmer bump, so that's going
to play for here.
Speaker 3 (49:03):
Thank you lose the game that you went to. Yeah,
comes one that one big time beside the leaves the
bump and then they use it the next.
Speaker 1 (49:13):
Day in the stadium. I'm just too distracting.
Speaker 4 (49:17):
Okay, you can't go to the game Wednesday. We we
we have to make sacrifices so that the White Sox
can win.
Speaker 2 (49:23):
Well, great news, My tickets haven't been improved yet, so possibility't.
Speaker 1 (49:28):
Be going anywhere.
Speaker 3 (49:28):
Canceled that.
Speaker 5 (49:29):
Like Merritts said, a hell of a pitching matchup tonight
showed a versus Louis Castillo, both of them very good
show having a great last ten games are real good
for him. Yeah, it's gonna be interesting. Comes better team
overall have the home field advantage, the subjective, but they
are coming in cold, so it'll be uh interesting to
play interesting cold. White Sox are coming in out.
Speaker 2 (49:54):
Yeah they are.
Speaker 3 (49:55):
This is a different way to say that.
Speaker 1 (49:57):
I think luckily we got Murray Coamie on the team.
Speaker 3 (50:00):
That's true. I may put in, I may, I might.
You're going to bet on the white size.
Speaker 5 (50:04):
Well no, no, no, no no, I'm not gonna do
anything like that because I don't have any confidence in
this game. But we've been swinging that bad. I might
put a home run beat on Marcami. Home run beats
are great because you can you pay like ten bucks
and you could win like ninety check the baby.
Speaker 3 (50:17):
Oh yeah, wait, oh wait, can do that too. Yeah,
wind's blowing out. You know what to do?
Speaker 5 (50:22):
Oh by the way, can I say real quick? And
we didn't touch this in sports, but how about Baiaz
from the Cardinals? Oh yeah yeah, listen to this period.
This is incredible. Even go ahead Bias comes into major
League Baseball. First pitch he's ever seen in Major League baseball.
Speaker 3 (50:37):
Home run. Nice step, next time he gets up to bad.
Speaker 5 (50:40):
Second time at bat in major League baseball home run, okay,
third time he gets up in his career home run.
It's a damn home run run, and I mean I
couldn't believe it. I wish it wasn't against the Cubs,
but it was fun to watch yes standing out from Rigley. Yeah,
he did, and they shouldn't have done.
Speaker 1 (50:56):
That's not get crazy?
Speaker 3 (50:59):
Whoa standing? Oh huh.
Speaker 1 (51:04):
It's a balancing act, but it can be done.
Speaker 5 (51:07):
I think I'm gonna go Cubs money line and under
eight and a half tonight and then then maybe a
Murakami home run.
Speaker 3 (51:14):
Sid is officially at a slip knot.
Speaker 5 (51:16):
He has confirmed it now on his social media Rock
ninety five five, Chicago's rock station, bad omens right there,
love those guys.
Speaker 3 (51:23):
What the hell are you guys laughing about off the
air here? I don't know. I don't even know what's
going on.
Speaker 2 (51:27):
I went to put my headphones on, and you know
how they're like a little bouncy when you stretch them
open to put them over your head, just to cling
to it. And I accidentally let go and it hit
me ahead and I went, oh, accidentally hit myself, my head,
my headphones, and mars goes swing harder.
Speaker 3 (51:42):
I asked if you were okay.
Speaker 1 (51:44):
I'm sick of the violence. I'm sick of the abuse,
just trying to do a radio show and every day
you make my life hell.
Speaker 3 (51:52):
There Michael do his report. Okay, Well, Sid Wilson out
of slipknot.
Speaker 5 (51:57):
We door. I've been talking about that for a week
or so. Now he has changed all of his social
media handles and everything to say. Are his bios to
say slipknot? And when he started to twenty sixteen.
Speaker 1 (52:08):
Basically, Yo, this is messy as hell.
Speaker 3 (52:11):
What is going on?
Speaker 5 (52:12):
I'm not sure slipnot hasn't said much more about it
except that initial post saying slipnot is no longer associated
with Sid Wilson. But then Kelly Osborne came out and
didn't she make a video then deleted I think, and
somebody caught it basically saying like be a dad, like
stop being an idiot. I look at sidh I don't
want to spend a Yeah. I just think that there's
(52:34):
he's he looks like he is. He rides life hard.
Let's put it that way.
Speaker 1 (52:38):
Can't I have a knot with a slipknot?
Speaker 3 (52:41):
True and a little fun.
Speaker 5 (52:43):
In Rock News today, Dave Grohl, of course, the Foo
Fighters out on the road with Queens of the Stone Age,
Josh from Queens of the Stone Age, one of his
favorite places as Bass Pro Shops.
Speaker 2 (52:52):
By the way, looking incredible these days A stud I mean,
Josham has always been kind of cute, but he's.
Speaker 3 (52:57):
Like he's working out. Yeah for sure.
Speaker 5 (53:00):
He took Dave Girl to bass Pro Shops for the
first time ever and some funny things in suit Maris.
Speaker 3 (53:05):
Let's hear about it. I keep I keep popping people's.
You know someone's walking by right now, Fast Pro Cherry.
They were trying to be nice. Is this hell? I mate?
Fat cute?
Speaker 4 (53:20):
Hey.
Speaker 3 (53:21):
Then there's a walk like putting on a fire and
making Johnny got a bone? Right now? I gotta push it.
Do you ever drink turtle milk? Dave?
Speaker 2 (53:34):
So?
Speaker 5 (53:34):
I love the beginning one where he's like, man, I
keep popping people's and then a worker walks by, not
even recognizing who these guys are now, and they both
kind of freeze for a second, and she goes by
and he goes Bass Pro Shop Cherry.
Speaker 4 (53:47):
Okay, I want to know how early in the morning
do you have to wake up to go to Basque
Pro Shop to be Dave Girl and Josh to not
get it?
Speaker 3 (53:59):
I agree, he walks out.
Speaker 5 (54:01):
They were looking at these speakers and one was like
ridiculous decibels, and he's carrying one out under his arm.
Speaker 2 (54:07):
And I mean, if it were like Luke Bryant walking
into bass pro shops, probably be mobbed.
Speaker 1 (54:12):
I don't know if it's the same demographic. It's similar.
Speaker 2 (54:14):
Yeah, there's probably some crossover, but I don't know enough
that they're going to recognize Josh.
Speaker 3 (54:19):
I'm recognizing Dave in a heartbeat. I don't know about Josh.
Speaker 1 (54:22):
We're also not stepping foot into a bass.
Speaker 3 (54:24):
I love the bass Pro shop. Oh my god. I
love those big outdoor stores. Actually, they're so fun to
just go roll around and cruise through.
Speaker 2 (54:31):
Did you know if they qualify a bunch of them
as museums and aquariums?
Speaker 3 (54:35):
Okay, well that makes more sense, so they could write
a lot of it off.
Speaker 6 (54:38):
I don't like.
Speaker 3 (54:40):
I gotta start screwing up. Oh, I get screwed on taxes.
I gotta figure out some tits And for all the
rock news on the concert ilendar, just.
Speaker 8 (54:52):
Oh, we make a lot of.
Speaker 2 (54:53):
Mistakes in the morning mush like the one that you
just heard, but to air is human and called me
James Way, I air.
Speaker 1 (55:01):
We are in the midst of our human persons.
Speaker 3 (55:03):
Robot wahn.
Speaker 2 (55:09):
Yes, it's a classicer classical literature fans amongst us. Cardinal
rule when using AI is to proof read. Farnsley Middle
School in Kentucky may have learned that lesson the hard way.
Stacy Morris's son brought his school agenda home after the
first day of school and showed her the many mistakes
in the book that families paid ten dollars for. On
(55:31):
a map of the US, Kentucky was labeled Venecki, Louisiana
was lukung wow, Alabama was Alotome, Illinois was vitoi via vitoa,
and South Carolina was soorth kuanto.
Speaker 3 (55:48):
So are they even trying anymore? Like, no one decided
to just check it. You gave it to kids.
Speaker 4 (55:53):
Here's the thing, the kids don't you dare use it.
There's all these free AI chat bots. You don't have
to use the che this one available. Yeah, you really don't.
Like you can put some stuff in Google. They're going
to at least get the state names right. They might
not be all the right spot on the map, but
they're going to get the names right.
Speaker 1 (56:12):
In the science area of the book the planet Oh
My cad go the planet Mars was labeled Mark mar Well.
Speaker 3 (56:21):
I want to fly to Mark someday.
Speaker 2 (56:23):
The periodic table of elements was just complete gibberish, which
is also.
Speaker 3 (56:27):
It's already gibberish.
Speaker 1 (56:29):
The phases of the moon were also unreadable.
Speaker 2 (56:31):
To correct the issue, and before they spoke to parents,
Farnsley administrators emailed teachers warning them about a lot of
mistakes on pages nineteen through thirty six, that.
Speaker 3 (56:42):
They had sent it home already incredible.
Speaker 2 (56:44):
Administrators told teachers to have students tear those pages out
before taking the agenda's home, and for teachers to keep
those pages.
Speaker 1 (56:51):
The school has not said whether or not AI was
used for the agenda.
Speaker 4 (56:56):
Big mystery, but honestly, honestly, this could be a great
homework assignment.
Speaker 7 (57:01):
Oh correct, Yeah, you go, you go through and you
correct the mistakes. Yeah, they're like, we meant to do that.
Speaker 3 (57:08):
Yeah. Actually, mares, that is quite a little back pedal
real quick.
Speaker 5 (57:12):
Yeah, no, that's good. Like, oh no, we were just
trying to see if you guys would catch the prop
the school.
Speaker 3 (57:16):
District on this one.
Speaker 4 (57:17):
Kate's Kentucky, Kentucky hit me. I got marketing stuff for
you guys, and you make os like this like come.
Speaker 1 (57:23):
On Kentucky, awesome horses. What that's how they win the
human versus War.
Speaker 3 (57:34):
Snows from the front in human Robot War. Now here's
a bit only plug there.
Speaker 4 (57:48):
Plug it eight four four nine five five ninety five fifty.
Speaker 3 (57:53):
It is now time for Onto the Head.
Speaker 2 (57:58):
Uh.
Speaker 3 (57:59):
We want you to win a three day pass tandem.
You gotta get a pair of tickets to riot Fest
Tandem twenty one Pilots, Iggy.
Speaker 1 (58:09):
Popps, my favorite bicycle.
Speaker 4 (58:10):
Tool, Morrissey Pierce the Veil, Alanas Mars said, so many
other bands.
Speaker 3 (58:15):
There's a lot.
Speaker 4 (58:16):
It's a great lineup, absolutely stacked. But we need you
to play our trivia game. You answer the questions, we
get shot with nerf darts and you take one of
us hostage to provide you a save if you don't
know the answer to a question. But we need you
right now. Eight four four ninety five fifty Maria, what's
that number?
Speaker 8 (58:36):
Four?
Speaker 1 (58:39):
Band on time as always?
Speaker 6 (58:48):
Oh and now fund to the head on Rock twive five. Yeah,
don't worry, they're using nerve weapons.
Speaker 3 (59:04):
Are we speaking with? Keith from Villa Park? Those mics
on yes, you guys are what up Keith? Okay, where
are you coming from? Where are you going?
Speaker 5 (59:18):
I'm in Highland Park and I'm heading off to another
job in Highland Park.
Speaker 3 (59:22):
Okay, that's fair. It's a busy man. This is Keith.
Speaker 5 (59:25):
I think Keith is about to play for some of
the biggest prizes we've had in a while.
Speaker 4 (59:29):
Yeah, those are a huge, huge riot Fest three day
passes up for grabs, but you got to win our
game first.
Speaker 3 (59:35):
Welcome to Fun to the Head. This is a trivia
game where you answer questions.
Speaker 4 (59:38):
We get shot with nerve starts, and you can get
a save by taking one of us hostage if you
don't know the answer to a question. Now, Keith, the
first thing you got to decide is who do you
want to take hostage? Michael, Maria or myself.
Speaker 6 (59:53):
