Speaker 1 (00:00):
You stayed all night.
Speaker 2 (00:01):
I stayed. I didn't watch the very last song. I
stuck out so I could catch an new bern get
out of there. But yeah, it was a little bit
of a long show. I've been leaving a lot earlier
this week. I was preparing for it. I feel actually
okay for having five beers two and a half hours ago.
Speaker 1 (00:15):
I check in with you in two hours.
Speaker 2 (00:17):
Yeah, exactly. Now coffee's going and we got a big
show today.
Speaker 3 (00:20):
And we got a guest coming in today. Pat McCann
will be joining us.
Speaker 4 (00:25):
Yes, he's just our friend.
Speaker 1 (00:26):
I mean he just I think he has a key
card now.
Speaker 4 (00:30):
Mc yeah, that makes it. Pat McCann with Michael.
Speaker 1 (00:33):
Yeah, what's up? Can you deliver some good news and weather? Oh? No, weather, Yeah,
we got it right here.
Speaker 2 (00:37):
I'm ready to see hi weather with our air quote
meteorologist Michael convincing.
Speaker 1 (00:44):
I glance over my shoulder.
Speaker 2 (00:45):
Looks like thunderstorms coming down the pipe again. It's going
to be mostly cloudy throughout the day and then it
looks like four o'clock. We got rained, five, six, seven, eight, nine, ten, eleven.
It's just going to start storming late in the afternoon today.
Other than that, a high of eighty degrees and right
now ninety three percent is pow muggy.
Speaker 1 (01:03):
I love it.
Speaker 4 (01:04):
Fa you need to get more storms.
Speaker 1 (01:06):
Yay, welcome through close.
Speaker 2 (01:08):
I'm starting to see videos pop up on social media
that are just like, so, let's talk about summer.
Speaker 3 (01:13):
What happened there was? Where was our summer? It was
actively blown away?
Speaker 1 (01:17):
I know again.
Speaker 2 (01:18):
I stood outside yesterday for like ten minutes, and I
was like, I got to get this summer in, and.
Speaker 5 (01:22):
This wasps to be really special summer for me. I
was also supposed to get this summer in, but I couldn't.
Speaker 1 (01:29):
Had other ideas for you, Maria, good news. Yeah, it's
thirst day.
Speaker 4 (01:34):
It is thirsty day.
Speaker 2 (01:35):
Do you have your instruments and your voice all warmed up?
A big jingle coming up here?
Speaker 4 (01:39):
Next still instrument we need is this one? Let's drink
about it.
Speaker 1 (01:47):
It's annoying. I wasn't looking over. I was like, what
is going on? Lips? Like whatched? That's what that is?
Drinking last night?
Speaker 4 (02:04):
Sure could go for a little. It's by Thursday Thursday,
but we're not pat No, No. The best way to
enjoyed Thursday just.
Speaker 1 (02:15):
Thank you.
Speaker 5 (02:15):
We're gonna tell you one way, Thanks God, what you
barnered a drink? For over one hundred years, cream puffs
have been featured at the Wisconsin State Fair.
Speaker 1 (02:28):
Oh what's a cream puff?
Speaker 5 (02:30):
It's like a puff pastrey. I'm looking at it, and
then it's got cream inside of him.
Speaker 4 (02:35):
Yeah, it's green puff.
Speaker 5 (02:36):
Well, this year, visitors can wash their cream puffs down
with cream puff Ale Lightning. Google's Brewery created a limited
edition beer inspired by the fars Fame Street. It doesn't
seem that there are any actual cream puffs in the recipes.
Speaker 4 (02:51):
The stuff is brewed with.
Speaker 5 (02:52):
A vienna in American honeymolts, oats and German noble hops.
Speaker 2 (02:58):
Huh, Grammys to call me cream puff? I've never had one.
I've never even seen one. This must be a Midwest thing.
Speaker 1 (03:05):
I just want to make sure I'm.
Speaker 2 (03:06):
It's It's like a it's like a two sort of
biscuits on top and bottom, but then like just a
massive You guys have never had cream in the middle,
That's what I'm saying.
Speaker 3 (03:16):
I thought it was like a little like, yeah, I've
a whole style. I was thinking something smaller and less creamy.
Speaker 2 (03:22):
But for Tinder, they got vanilla puff, they got chocolate puff.
Speaker 1 (03:29):
They got cherry puff.
Speaker 4 (03:31):
Okay, but are you gonnaka this Thirstay?
Speaker 1 (03:33):
Sorry? Sorry? The ale? The puff Ale?
Speaker 4 (03:36):
Yeah you're drinking it?
Speaker 5 (03:38):
Uh?
Speaker 1 (03:38):
Is it hazy? No?
Speaker 3 (03:40):
Yeah, sure, I'll try it. I trust lining Google enough
to give it a try. It's also it's also a
y for me, like.
Speaker 1 (03:53):
Do they go together?
Speaker 2 (03:54):
Like? Is it like a pairing type situation? Because I
can get into something like that a little bit.
Speaker 4 (03:59):
Maybe it sounds like it could be.
Speaker 1 (04:01):
I don't want to barf up puff, you know, drink
a little too much.
Speaker 3 (04:05):
It is a lot of puff, and I expect that,
like it just kind of gets sticky smacking your mouth,
so you gotta wash it down with a cream puffect?
Speaker 2 (04:12):
Can I get a cream puff in the studio today?
I kind of want to eat one. Oh you know what, No,
I need to watch my wife.
Speaker 4 (04:17):
If I ordered cream puffs, I would not be upset.
Speaker 2 (04:20):
Yeah, okay, I'll look. I'll look. So then can we
get the ale this morning too? I just like to
keep this party going, little hair of the dog.
Speaker 4 (04:29):
I don't think that you can cream puff enough?
Speaker 5 (04:31):
Yeah?
Speaker 1 (04:32):
Puff it up?
Speaker 4 (04:33):
Yeah? Hr cream puff enough?
Speaker 1 (04:35):
Is there is there? Okay? No? I was gonna say,
is there too? Much cream for a puff or I
mean that depends on who's eating. It depends on the puff.
Speaker 5 (04:45):
Yeah, if there's a little overflow of the cream from
the puff, no, one's going to be upset. We're feeling
very human this morning. Old groggy, yep, old tired. Yes,
something machine could never relate to.
Speaker 1 (05:01):
I think they know what A battery running out. I
guess that's true.
Speaker 4 (05:05):
Yeah, they don't feel anything. Oh my god, he's already
on the other side of the human versus.
Speaker 2 (05:10):
Robot wall news from the front of the inevitable human
robot war.
Speaker 5 (05:15):
All all the tech bros and Silicon Valley charge ahead
into artificial intelligence. A growing community of retro tech fans
are fighting to preserve the classic hardware that started the
digital revolution. Earlier this month, hobbyists and collectors gathered at
the annual Vintage Computer Federation Festival to show off their
fully restored Commodore Atari and IBM machines.
Speaker 1 (05:36):
Cool.
Speaker 4 (05:36):
It's kind of like a car show for computer nerds.
Speaker 5 (05:38):
This year's festival brought up more than thirty five hundred fans,
along with Apple co founders Steve Wozniak and Ronald Wade
Cool to celebrate the fiftieth anniversary of Apple's founding.
Speaker 4 (05:49):
Even though there will continue to be high tech.
Speaker 5 (05:50):
Breakthroughs, it seems more and more people are enjoying the
old classics PlayStation Yeah sorry.
Speaker 3 (05:57):
I yeah, there's a good, strong call out because they
need it, because they are ten feet in the sand.
Speaker 4 (06:05):
There we go.
Speaker 1 (06:06):
They're not gonna fix this.
Speaker 3 (06:09):
Until it's too late, because I fully believe when they
drop PlayStation six it will be diskless and then they've
shut down their disc making factory in the future, so
they're going to repurpose that. And then once they see
the sales for the PlayStation six and the games, it's
not going to go.
Speaker 2 (06:27):
Well, you mean people aren't going to buy it. They're
not going to contribute to this.
Speaker 1 (06:32):
And it's just a form of a boycott.
Speaker 5 (06:34):
So first they're going to contribute to the problem, and
then they're going to turn around be like, hey, we
have an idea.
Speaker 4 (06:40):
What if we brought back tangible gaming.
Speaker 3 (06:42):
Electromedia I like the switch to And you know what's interesting.
Nintendo was the first one to come out and go, oh, yeah,
we're going to go digital, and then everybody said, hey, Nintendo,
think about it. Think about it to make good discions.
Nintendo said, Okay, yeah, we're gonna we will give you
your physical media that you want.
Speaker 1 (07:04):
There's still gonna be digital games.
Speaker 3 (07:05):
And like the numbers are basically I want to say,
forty percent of video game sales are physical.
Speaker 1 (07:12):
The other six is digital.
Speaker 3 (07:14):
But that's also compensating for a lot of indie developers
as well. So it's not just Nintendo and Activision and
Blizzard and all the A yeah, ea, all the big names.
It's a lot of the indies are on the digital side.
Speaker 5 (07:27):
Also, what are the games being repetitively played? Like how
many of those do you play once? And then you're
just like, eh, I don't care about it. Then you
move on to the next thing. Versus if you buy
a physical game, you're playing it tested.
Speaker 1 (07:39):
I'm coming back to this because it's staring at.
Speaker 5 (07:40):
Me and that's how we win the human versus Row
from the front, Yes, to.
Speaker 1 (07:51):
Be Rock ninety five to five.
Speaker 3 (07:54):
Are we speaking with Nicholas from Bloomingdale?
Speaker 6 (07:58):
Yes?
Speaker 7 (07:59):
You are?
Speaker 3 (07:59):
What's going on on, Nicholas? How are you today, Nicholas?
Speaker 1 (08:03):
No, Michael, I am, well how about you guys? We're
doing good.
Speaker 4 (08:11):
Oh I love the proper grammar. He's doing well.
Speaker 1 (08:14):
Is this supposed to be well? Yes?
Speaker 3 (08:16):
Whatever, Nicholas, thanks for joining us. And it happens today. Uh,
this is the game where we put you in a
pituation and your goal is not to get kicked out,
tossed out, bounced out, or thrown out by security. Yeah,
I know it happened. Yeah, I know, I know. But
Maria is our pit mistress today.
Speaker 1 (08:35):
What were yelling about? Are you ready? I went out
of order?
Speaker 5 (08:40):
He went kicked out, tossed out, bounced out, thrown out,
and usually it's thrown out, bounced out crazy.
Speaker 1 (08:46):
Are you ready, Maria?
Speaker 5 (08:47):
Yeah, I gotta pull myself together now for that mixed
everything up on me. We are out at the saltshed
last night with Mikey.
Speaker 2 (08:54):
Yay.
Speaker 5 (08:54):
So we're upstairs and b I P. It's you and
me and Maris and Mikey having a great time.
Speaker 1 (09:01):
Fun fact.
Speaker 5 (09:02):
And I know that I'm subtle about it, and I
masked really well on air, but I have eighty h No.
Speaker 4 (09:10):
I know it is insane, but do consider that I
might not be perfect.
Speaker 5 (09:15):
And I go, this is a really fun show and everything,
but I'd rather be watching the Sound of Music. Oh God,
and I start singing sound of music songs at Modest Mouse,
which is exactly the reaction.
Speaker 4 (09:29):
They're grunting, the groaning. The boys do not like it.
Speaker 5 (09:31):
In fact, they're so sick of it because I had
been singing it.
Speaker 4 (09:34):
All day in the studio and then we're out at
the show. We're trying to hear different music and pull
shut up. So obviously what are the boys do? They
pick me up? They tossed me over the ledge.
Speaker 5 (09:44):
I am now crowdsurfing in the pit, but obviously security
not thrilled that they just threw seemingly a child off
of the balcony.
Speaker 4 (09:55):
So they're marching up there.
Speaker 5 (09:57):
What do you doing, my guy.
Speaker 3 (10:02):
I'm rushing down to the pit to rescue you.
Speaker 7 (10:08):
Thank you, and then I'm going to take you back
off wards and we're just gonna stitch you down, all right,
and we're just gonna we're just gonna entertain you by
giving you a phone and lots of game.
Speaker 4 (10:30):
Nicholas turns me into an iPad kid. Let's roll for that.
Speaker 1 (10:33):
We go, oh no, we'll go all the way to
the floor. It is a four.
Speaker 5 (10:40):
Okay, yeah, alright, looking good for the iPad kids.
Speaker 4 (10:44):
So you do go ahead and scoop me up out
of the pit, thank you very much.
Speaker 5 (10:47):
Mike and Marris get a stern talking to by security.
Speaker 1 (10:51):
They say, hey, let me the first time.
Speaker 4 (10:53):
Don't you hurt that little pixie. She's our favorite, one
of all of your nuts. And they go, yes, sir,
I'm sorry, sir.
Speaker 5 (11:02):
And then we watched the rest of the show and
I could play my ipodcast what I'm doing watching the
sound of music with headphones on.
Speaker 3 (11:07):
Geez, Nicholas, oud of me, So thank you for solving
our problem. And we'll bring headphones and iPad out always
for Maria.
Speaker 1 (11:15):
But you are sets. You're headed to Leonard Skinner over
at Credit Union.
Speaker 3 (11:19):
Want Amphitheater on August fifteenth, that is this weekend, and
roof beat damn.
Speaker 1 (11:24):
They are moving forward as long as there is no rain. So, Nicholas,
who are you planning on taking with you?
Speaker 3 (11:32):
My wife's with your wife's name missus claws. It's not missus,
that's amazing, claus on a first name I don't know.
Speaker 5 (11:43):
Oh okay, now defined by her husband as all women are.
Speaker 3 (11:48):
Come on, Nicholas, thank you. Everybody else go get your
tickets your ticket Master. All thanks to our friends at
Live Nation.
Speaker 2 (12:00):
That says does not have a single official first name,
and traditional folklore just missus Claus.
Speaker 4 (12:04):
Yeah, we don't care about.
Speaker 1 (12:06):
Missus Claus if she had a name, though.
Speaker 4 (12:09):
She's not bringing us the gifts.
Speaker 1 (12:11):
Alfrida Alfree to.
Speaker 2 (12:13):
Claus, Alfred Paul like Alfrida, class.
Speaker 1 (12:18):
Play fun to the head.
Speaker 2 (12:19):
Today you're shot at Black Label Society tickets.
Speaker 1 (12:23):
A bunch more fun stuff coming up. We have a
rock on the way as well, yep us in Five Things,
and our friend Pat McGann's coming back.
Speaker 4 (12:29):
In studio play date with Pat McGann.
Speaker 1 (12:31):
Boy do I got a question for you? Yes, what's
your favorite meat?
Speaker 4 (12:35):
I don't want to say his name publicly.
Speaker 2 (12:37):
It's National flame Day and National Prosecco Day. If you
had to stick this is the question I want to
put to the chat everybody listening. Eight four five fifty.
If you had to stick with one meat for the
rest of your life, what are you sticking with?
Speaker 1 (12:52):
I got divorced, so I'm start with chicken thighs. You're
staying with chicken? WHOA, okay, well chicken?
Speaker 3 (12:59):
Well, well you could go chicken all the way around
you so I can pick it animal. Oh yeah, yeah, okay,
that changes it. That changes it. I definitely pork for me.
Speaker 4 (13:09):
Can we do that? Can we can we go specific
cuts of.
Speaker 1 (13:12):
Meat, a specific cut of meat, just an animal? Yeah?
You could?
Speaker 2 (13:15):
Well, I mean you could just say type because just chicken,
like that's what I'm saying. Do you want chicken? You
want beef? Do you want pork? Do you want fish?
Do you want Oh?
Speaker 5 (13:23):
Unfortunately I do want well, I want shellfish, specifically.
Speaker 1 (13:27):
Fish count I think I'm going salmon.
Speaker 2 (13:29):
So you'd go fish too, meaning you can't have pork, beef,
or chicken for the rest of your life.
Speaker 3 (13:33):
I'm going salmon specifically, not just fish. Well, but that
there's a lot of trash fish out here. Well, that's true.
Speaker 4 (13:40):
Yeah, and salmon, yes, always good across.
Speaker 2 (13:42):
The You're giving up beef, pork, and chicken for fish salamon? Yes, okay,
all right. I just I am such a I mean,
I'm just a meat nut, so I couldn't imagine like.
Speaker 4 (13:58):
Meat nuts.
Speaker 2 (13:59):
Listen, ribs, pork chops, barbecue, pulled pork. So you want pork,
I want to get bacon you're getting I am sticking
with babe. Well baby Baby's older dad who wasn't very
nice about that.
Speaker 1 (14:15):
I feel better.
Speaker 4 (14:16):
Oh, Okay, yeah, No, it's it's shellfish.
Speaker 3 (14:22):
Which one crab you're getting crab, crab specific crab or
just crab as a genus.
Speaker 5 (14:28):
Hum, We'll say crab as a genus because I do
love snow crab as much as I love blue crab.
Probably they're real clothes, you know what. I don't like
that much king crab. I know that's controversial, but I'm
not like other girls.
Speaker 1 (14:39):
Does crab even considered meat? Yes?
Speaker 2 (14:42):
When I think of meat bacon, I'm thinking steak, not crab.
Speaker 4 (14:49):
What do you would you?
Speaker 2 (14:50):
Why did you classify meat? That's it just doesn't feel
the same to me.
Speaker 4 (14:54):
Shall I choose from the land dwelling animals? I'll have beef.
Speaker 5 (15:00):
My word, although I do like small game too, like
I probably deer more.
Speaker 1 (15:04):
Than I'm deers.
Speaker 2 (15:05):
Go Dennison. Yeah, YouTube chat checking in. We got we
got a chicken, we got prawns, we got crab. Lots
of bison. Somebody in there with bison would be a
good crabs. YouTube chat has crabs. We are streaming today,
by the way, on YouTube, Facebook, and Instagram.
Speaker 3 (15:20):
Yeah, the four crabs fifty. If you had to pick
one meat to eat the rest of your life, let
us know what it is.
Speaker 5 (15:32):
News headlines it would be nice today. Well, they sure
can get you down is the issue. Luckily, we here
on the Morning mash bit are gonna put a positive
spin on those headlines, as required by Rock.
Speaker 4 (15:45):
Ninety five five, Chicago's rock station. The ass is bad
is beers soup.
Speaker 5 (15:53):
Pilot's dead after military helicopters slams into Central Texas field
and catches fire.
Speaker 1 (16:00):
Hate that that's not good.
Speaker 5 (16:01):
I know.
Speaker 4 (16:02):
Don't want to hover on that one too long.
Speaker 5 (16:04):
New indictment alleges Nick Reiner was lying in wait before
killing parents Rob and Michelle Reiner.
Speaker 1 (16:11):
Yikes, Oh, I hate that had it all man?
Speaker 5 (16:14):
Lying in wait is also what happens when I squat
without a Spotter Roder Damn Port explosion causes one death.
Speaker 1 (16:21):
Police say, sorry, I'm stuck on the last one.
Speaker 4 (16:25):
Don't worry. I'll say it again.
Speaker 5 (16:26):
Rodter Damn Port explosion causes one death. Police say, I
heard it you, Roder Damn. You brought her team charged
with murder of mother and brother allegedly used AI before
their deaths.
Speaker 2 (16:44):
Well, you gotta figure out how to hide a body's
bays beidise yours.
Speaker 1 (16:53):
Have you ever had a close call on an e scooter.
Speaker 4 (16:56):
Every time I step on one, that's true to break
my neck.
Speaker 2 (17:01):
Man died of the week and nearly two weeks after
the East scooter he was riding was hit by the
wheel of a trailer in the North Chicago suburb of Gurney.
That brings me to this, these things are people are
out of control on these scooters. First of all, I
saw somebody the other day. It was one person on
the front, like two people on the back, and then
like three of them. So it's like a whole family
reunion on scooters.
Speaker 1 (17:23):
Yeah.
Speaker 5 (17:24):
Yeah, I like to like to do a little latch
one on a scooter, but you're.
Speaker 1 (17:29):
Small enough for that to work. Yeah.
Speaker 3 (17:31):
But like I think there's not enough scooter teaching on
how to proper scoot.
Speaker 1 (17:39):
They don't make you like run you through a course
real quick.
Speaker 4 (17:41):
No, it's just on the street and you're probably drunk.
Speaker 2 (17:44):
No, it's a it's on the sidewalk, please, especially when
the sidewalk is full of people.
Speaker 1 (17:50):
That's the time to get a scooter and just ride
down the well.
Speaker 4 (17:54):
Doesn't say a scooter, lamb.
Speaker 3 (17:56):
But that's the thing that when people want to get
on a scooter they're like, oh, my ride this on
the sidewalk, and it's like, not in Chicago, No, it's
not a side ride. When you get a bike or
you get a scooter, you move over into the street
and that's where you belong.
Speaker 1 (18:08):
Like, oh, I don't want to get here by a car.
You made a choice. There's bike lanes for that. Stay
on the edge.
Speaker 3 (18:13):
But there's also like I feel like a lot of
most motorists in Chicago, when you're driving in city proper,
they're looking out for bikes and.
Speaker 1 (18:21):
Scooter half straight everywhere.
Speaker 2 (18:25):
I was riding when I lived in Colorado, I was
riding a scooter and we were going downtown Denver and
we were going bar to bar to bar to bar.
After about the fourth bar, we had some drinks. The
thing that like the scooters. Have you ever been a
skateboard where it hits the tiniest rock and just stops
and you go flying? Same thing with the scooter. There
was a little like, uh, the sidewalks didn't match up,
and I went face first onto the ground. And when
(18:47):
when I stood up and looked at my hand, the
palms of my hands, my skin was all accordioned back,
so it was just me on my hands and oh
the lady. I didn't go to the emergency room, but
I know someone who works at an emergent room and
she said that more people come in for scooter injuries
than anything else.
Speaker 3 (19:04):
I believe that, And I think the big thing is
is a motorized scooter when we were kids and feet, yes,
And I think that's what a lot of people picture
it as.
Speaker 1 (19:13):
But when you get up to twenty miles on a
scooter and it's.
Speaker 3 (19:16):
Like you have to be a cognizant of potholes and
Chicago cracks.
Speaker 1 (19:20):
And people other people not scooting properly in front of you.
Speaker 3 (19:25):
There's a lot of tangible things that can happen, and
I don't think there's enough there is, Like they just
hand it to you. Yeah, it is not like a bike.
We all learned how to ride a bike. They just
hand you a scooter to motorized and say go, yeah, and.
Speaker 4 (19:37):
You don't need a helmet.
Speaker 5 (19:38):
This feels like how a lot how they aren't seatbelts
on school buses.
Speaker 1 (19:41):
And why and they go, I don't worry about it.
Speaker 4 (19:44):
Yeah, you know, we don't have to have a helmet
on a scooter.
Speaker 2 (19:47):
Why it does say here in Chicago, electrocrontal and private
scooters must be ridden on the streets or bike lanes
and every on sidewalks. Riders must have bai ALT traffic signals.
And I think they just passed a law. That's what
I was looking for. They are limited to to thirty
five miles an hour now, so you can't go faster
than that limited. Still, yeah, you hit the ground at
thirty five miles an hour, that's not nothing. And the
(20:09):
scooter whip around and bust your a shin. You ever
get a scooter in the shelves? Yeah, scooter thing, that's true.
Those are scary to.
Speaker 1 (20:15):
Bigger than a razor.
Speaker 4 (20:17):
Yeah, well yeah, hang on, scooter O boy hardly knew.
Speaker 2 (20:23):
I want to know eight four four ninety five fifty
tell us your scooter horror stories.
Speaker 1 (20:27):

Bumble is making some changes to the dating app. Is
they are going to now allow men to make the
first move that notably was only allowing women to make
the first move and start conversations. But they've made changes
due to a lot of feedback from users.
Speaker 2 (21:27):
Maria has found the end of tender, so maybe you
should move on to a new app.
Speaker 5 (21:31):
That was the one appeal of Bumble was that they
didn't get to start the talking.
Speaker 1 (21:36):
Well now they do.
Speaker 3 (21:38):
There were ninety seven variant copies of Super Mario Brothers
and Duck Hunt found in for the original Neees. They
had different stickers, screws, manuals and everything, and these were
graded and they are in perfect condition.
Speaker 1 (21:57):
Yeah. I can only imagine how much money these are
going to to go for on the internet.
Speaker 2 (22:01):
Did you see what they're speculating? Why that happened? I
guess the cartridges have gold in them, Oh my god?
And so they because they use it in some of
the chips or whatever. However that ended up working. So
all of these boxes were sent back to have the
gold extracted out and it just didn't happen and sat
there forever.
Speaker 1 (22:17):
And they are brought I mean, I wonder how much
those they're ready to go.
Speaker 3 (22:21):
Yeah, shake Shack is denying the customers claims of being
charged more for not tipping. If you haven't seen the
viral video, there's a couple sitting in an airport. They
changed their order to no tip as they're trying to
close out, and then they end up getting charged more money.
They say that that is a freak accident with that
(22:41):
specific kiosk at that specific airport. That is not something
that corporate Shakeshack has pushed out anymore exactly. Tomatoes may
help you battle fatty liver disease. Eating raw tomatoes on
a day to day basis can help you with the
antioxidants that are in them. Fatty liver disease is caused
(23:04):
by obesity, excessive alcohol intake, and a diabetes. So not
just an apple a day, but a tomato a day
as well.
Speaker 1 (23:13):
I like I eat tomatoes like apples. One of my
favorite actors is a tomato. Let's talk to.
Speaker 3 (23:20):
Let's talk to Stephanie because we're going to spend a
wheel for her.
Speaker 1 (23:23):
How are you doing, Stephanie?
Speaker 5 (23:25):
Oh I am so good.
Speaker 1 (23:26):
Okay, so happy to hear this? Sound good?
Speaker 4 (23:29):
Yeah, you seem happy. What do you do for a living?
Why are you so happy?
Speaker 7 (23:33):
No, I'm an office manager for a landscape company.
Speaker 1 (23:36):
I'm just excited to win.
Speaker 3 (23:38):
Well, all right, let's get this wheel spun for you
and see what you win today.
Speaker 4 (23:44):
Awesome, it's good sounding.
Speaker 3 (23:46):
Well, wouldn't you know Motley Cruz got to be in
town on August twenty second?
Speaker 1 (23:52):
In Stephanie, you're going to be there?
Speaker 2 (23:55):
Oh my god, carnival.
Speaker 1 (23:57):
Sure.
Speaker 4 (23:58):
Oh, I'm so excited.
Speaker 1 (24:00):

Speaker 1 (24:05):

to take. But do you have any ideas your son.
Speaker 1 (24:12):
He's so excited. You will be so excited for this,
that's amazing. What's your son's name? Nathan? Nathan visually to.
Speaker 3 (24:20):
You and your mom, Stephanie, you guys are gonna be
headed over to see Motley Crue Yes, Michael before we call.
Speaker 2 (24:27):
I was gonna say visually, by the way, Motley Crue
a hell of a show to see. I mean they
do the rotating drum set and all the fire and
it's just a really big show.
Speaker 4 (24:36):
Fifty fifty chance Tommy leaks dong out.
Speaker 2 (24:38):
Well, if he does that, I mean you're gonna have
to clear the stage.
Speaker 3 (24:41):

it's absolutely perfect.
Speaker 3 (26:01):
So, Pat, I don't know if you heard we have
a new billionaire in Illinois. The powerball jackpot was hit
last Oh no kidding?
Speaker 2 (26:09):
Yeah?
Speaker 5 (26:10):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (26:10):
Her winner lives in Quincy, Illinois. Wow. Yeah, so there
are ways away from us. Winter owns Quincy.
Speaker 4 (26:19):
I mean, and they stole money left over.
Speaker 3 (26:23):
They're going to walk home with around four hundred and
fifty million dollars.
Speaker 1 (26:28):
Wow. So can you remain like you know, you can
remain anonymous? Yes?
Speaker 3 (26:35):
I think the stor is reporting that they had the ticket,
but I don't know if the person has come forward yet.
Speaker 1 (26:42):
I'll find them, I know.
Speaker 3 (26:43):
So a lot of people looking for this person, me first,
including myself. Now, if you were trying to make friends
with a new millionaire billionaire.
Speaker 1 (26:53):
Bill, well, what's your what's your pitch, Maria?
Speaker 4 (26:56):
That's my pitch?
Speaker 1 (26:57):
Yeah? How do you get them to.
Speaker 4 (26:59):
Wear a mini skirt?
Speaker 1 (27:00):
Never mind?
Speaker 4 (27:00):
And I wear a boot and I say Hi, what's up?
And they go, would you like a million dollars?
Speaker 1 (27:08):
Yes? Would you like to have your way.
Speaker 4 (27:13):
We have a great time.
Speaker 1 (27:14):
Did you say a billion? I mean I may jump
in for a billion one of whatever it takes.
Speaker 2 (27:23):
That.
Speaker 4 (27:24):
How are you getting them?
Speaker 1 (27:26):
I don't know, Jill. You make them laugh.
Speaker 2 (27:29):
I think you got to be very like covert about it,
right because everybody's going to be trying to jump in the.
Speaker 6 (27:34):
Pool's actually a great approach, like, yeah, I don't care
about your money.
Speaker 4 (27:39):
I'm here for your personality.
Speaker 1 (27:41):
Great personality. You gotta really like be manipulative, right, yeah,
just a little bit.
Speaker 3 (27:47):
I'm going I'm just gonna go the video game round. Okay, man,
you want a game, chill, you want to relax. We
can sit in game online just you know.
Speaker 4 (27:54):
But if they're like nerd you want to can't be out,
then you don't get the money.
Speaker 1 (28:01):
I know, but yes, stay in.
Speaker 3 (28:02):
If I go in on the nerdy side, then I'm
just gonna jump over to the sporty side.
Speaker 1 (28:06):
And it's like he doesn't like that, then I'm really
just I'm out.
Speaker 2 (28:09):
Yeah, Mayris, you're doing video games, I'm doing sports gambling.
Maybe there's that maybe we want to go to the
casino and play some games.
Speaker 4 (28:16):
Oh yeah, well no, they would be into gambling makes sense.
Speaker 1 (28:19):
Let's go.
Speaker 4 (28:19):
That's a good call, Mike, He's going to get them.
Speaker 1 (28:21):
I'm hanging up on you first.
Speaker 4 (28:25):
Pat, you're at the White Sox game.
Speaker 1 (28:27):
Yes, on video.
Speaker 3 (28:29):
Yeah, that was quite a night. Well before we jump in, Yeah,
let's just call that a tease.
Speaker 1 (28:34):
We got Pat.
Speaker 3 (28:34):
Mcgannon's studio and he's going to tell us about the
White Sox night you had.
Speaker 1 (28:38):
But we gotta get back to some music here. Okay,
we can do that.
Speaker 4 (28:41):
Yes, corporate Daddy got it. Got in the room.
Speaker 1 (28:44):
Got to keep us in order just a little bit.
Speaker 2 (28:46):
Someone's got to.
Speaker 4 (28:50):
On the morning match. But I'm rock ninety five to five.
Speaker 1 (28:51):
Pat, good morning with you and with you.
Speaker 5 (28:54):
No, not since twenty eight and also with you have
hard time with change, with your spirits, with your spirit,
and on Thursday we are celebrating with our spirits.
Speaker 4 (29:07):
It's an alcohol punt.
Speaker 1 (29:09):
I got it.
Speaker 4 (29:10):
But also Church, I heard it was Jesus's blood.
Speaker 1 (29:13):
It was really good. Maria, thank you.
Speaker 4 (29:15):
I like your validation.
Speaker 5 (29:16):
But no, Pat was at the White Sox game for
what what we were recalling.
Speaker 4 (29:22):
Was that the official name and you did a little
peace given huh.
Speaker 6 (29:28):
Yeah, I was involved in the Sign of peace moment,
which was after the fifth inning, we did a you
know guy on the jumbo tron. I introduced father Tom Hurley,
who's a Catholic, a perfect name. He's very well known too,
so he got like a big pop when I you know,
kind of introduced him. And then he kind of after
I teed it up, we start talking about, you know,
(29:49):
the Pope and how he would love to this moment
and probably would like to see people reach out to
each other and you know, make a friend, meet somebody
and you know, give give people a sign a peace
like we do in our Catholic tradition, which was it
was cool. I mean, I cannot believe the response to
this thing. Yeah, I mean it is like gone. I
(30:09):
think it seems like it's gone viral, like in a
lot of different places. And this one post was like
the National Catholic Register and it's like say, like aied
poo in there, this is getting uncomfortable.
Speaker 4 (30:28):
Turns out that wasn't ai.
Speaker 1 (30:29):
That was a miracle, very positive response, which is great.
Speaker 6 (30:34):
People see that it was in good fun and you know,
it was a well intentioned moment, and they also a
lot of people are like saying they should do this, yeah,
all these games.
Speaker 1 (30:46):
Actually, it's not a bad move for the White Sox.
Speaker 3 (30:48):
It's something they can do unique to rate fields, specifically
in honor of the Pope.
Speaker 5 (30:52):
Yeah, quite a sign of the post COVID times. We're
allers be with you.
Speaker 3 (31:01):
Have you thrown this out to White Sox marketing as
something that you could come and host on a regular basis?
Speaker 1 (31:06):
No, I haven't. That would be something White Sox marketing.
Speaker 6 (31:12):
They're saying they should try it out at the Crosstown
Try it at that.
Speaker 1 (31:21):
It's not going to go great.
Speaker 6 (31:22):
I saw somebody tweeted like the Cubs are going to
compensate by having a megachurch pastor.
Speaker 2 (31:27):
Night Crosstown Classic because two weeks next week.
Speaker 1 (31:36):
Yeah, yeah, next week a fun bo Wait that was rough.
Speaker 2 (31:40):
When I went to that Crosstown Classic game and right
field I was in all Cubs gear and this guy
walks up to me and goes you a Cubs fan.
First of all, I just wanted to be like, what,
how did you guess? He puts his little finger in
my face and goes f you.
Speaker 1 (31:53):
What did you expect? Well? I expected maybe some friendliness.
I'm used to the friendly confine.
Speaker 5 (31:58):
You're acting like you don't intentionally instigate, and then you're
surprised people are upset.
Speaker 2 (32:03):
The crazy thing was is this was literally across the
way he goes, hey, you cumes fan.
Speaker 1 (32:08):
I was like yeah, and he just goes I was like, wow, no,
I lost my fantasy league.
Speaker 2 (32:16):
Yeah, that's he's got to walk around flipping off the
opposing fan.
Speaker 1 (32:24):
That's amazing.
Speaker 3 (32:25):
It's like every time I go to a Bears game
in my Lions gear, I'm ready. Yeah, I've got a
whole script of comebacks for anybody that says anything to me.
Speaker 1 (32:33):
Ready.
Speaker 2 (32:34):
I like to think that you would pull out notes.
I don't pull it.
Speaker 3 (32:39):
I take some notes, and it's also depending on what
they say, but it's always in good fun. We end
up laughing about it afterwards. I don't know what was
wrong with the guy. I think you had a few drinks.
Speaker 4 (32:47):
Thank god. I want to hear some of the lines
from the script that.
Speaker 1 (32:49):
You're oh, that'll be a guy heckle Maris. The Lions
are dumb. It was right after you wear that in here.
It was just no comeback to that. North.
Speaker 3 (33:04):
I was drunk walking out as soldier and I was
getting heckled because the Lions won and we weren't really
a good team, and they're.
Speaker 1 (33:09):
Like, oh, you got lucky. Detroit sucks.
Speaker 3 (33:11):
And one of the attendants was talking smack and I
was like, hey, here's two fifty four year bus fare
to Arlington.
Speaker 1 (33:19):
And he just looked at me and goes, that was
really rude. Up, I'm a lion.
Speaker 4 (33:26):
That was good. Good.
Speaker 3 (33:27):
Yeah, but that's still a whole situation. The governor in
Indiana thinks they are about to land the plane. Yeah,
I saw them, and he's like, you were working very diligently.
We're talking with the bears every day. And I was like,
I want an announcement. I want a groundbreaking I want
something to actually happen with this.
Speaker 4 (33:43):
No, they men have to do something they don't want
to do.
Speaker 1 (33:45):
It's going to be a gut punch.
Speaker 3 (33:47):
If it's Indiana, it is, and then I don't know
if this is true, So don't kill me for saying this.
They're talking, or the Indiana government was talking that Indiana's
going to work their way into the name somehow.
Speaker 2 (34:02):
God yeah, And I don't care that much if it's
in Indiana, I don't want it there. But it's not
gonna break. It's not going to ruin my life. If
it's called the Indiana Bears, that will be very up.
Speaker 1 (34:13):
Yeah. Do we pull out at that point? I think,
I think, no, I'm already I'm already too far. Yeah.
Speaker 3 (34:22):
It was one of those things where it was like, oh, yeah,
Indiana Bears sound good, or the Chicago Bears of Indiana.
Speaker 1 (34:28):
No, no, what are we doing?
Speaker 6 (34:30):
Leave it alone for northwest Indiana sound like a car
dealership or that changes everything, And I don't want that.
If they go to Indiana, you can't take Chicago. I'm saying,
in no way, we have to have traditions.
Speaker 1 (34:44):
Stand with that.
Speaker 6 (34:44):
I saw somebody say in that context of like the
people that want to claim Chicago put Chicago on their
sleeve but don't want to live here or really spend
time here. They said, Uh, you can't have our rhythm
if you don't want to blues.
Speaker 1 (35:01):
I like that. Like that that's pretty good, right.
Speaker 2 (35:04):
Steve Styles says, a fire sale on all Bears gear
if they get that name.
Speaker 4 (35:09):
I think I have a proposition. We're just a fire
if the Bears listen.
Speaker 5 (35:14):
Bears are a team that we root for because we
love them, but like they make it difficult. We can
be honest, right, if they want to go to Indiana
and abandon us after we've stuck with them through all
that they've put us through, fine, go to Indiana. We
have a perfect stadium right there for another team to
be good and come and play there.
Speaker 1 (35:33):
That's the other caveat of this.
Speaker 4 (35:34):
Give us a new team.
Speaker 3 (35:35):
NFL has been talking about expansion for years, and they
I think they want to give Saint Louis another city.
They've talked about Mexico City. Portland has come up in conversation.
But if we've got a stadium sitting here right to go,
so we use a.
Speaker 1 (35:49):
Different animal, then yes, we beat the Chicago Rats. There
has to be a completely different team. Chicago it was
football franchise.
Speaker 2 (36:01):
God, yes, trying to think of what other animals like coyotes.
Speaker 1 (36:11):
Chicago Asian car versus the Dallas.
Speaker 2 (36:14):
Cowboys, Chicago boy It's Christmas, everybody.
Speaker 1 (36:18):
I will be done. I will be done. You be done.
I think a lot of fans would act lying in
the sandway.
Speaker 5 (36:22):
Yeah, but then what's next? Like do you keep watching
football and then you just root for a different team.
Speaker 6 (36:27):
I take my Sunday's back, Actually spend more time with
the Pope that we were.
Speaker 1 (36:32):
Talking about the Lord.
Speaker 3 (36:35):
Could you imagine the heart disease you could recover from
if you didn't watch NFL for seventeen weeks in a row.
Speaker 1 (36:41):
With the heartbreak we deal with on a regular basis,
what if the team was the Chicago Beef. Pre kind
of fun, that's funny, Yeah, the Chicago Beef.
Speaker 5 (36:50):
Usually the animals they named teams after are still a lot,
you know, like either.
Speaker 4 (36:53):
Way, the Chicago Pork.
Speaker 6 (36:57):
It's so insulting though to me, Yeah, it's like, you know,
I can feel your I can feel how insulted you
are about it.
Speaker 2 (37:03):
That's a I mean, after you've been a fan for
something for so long, to think that someone could just
make a decision and pull it out from under you
was crazy.
Speaker 1 (37:09):
They're not the Bears without Chicago. They're the Chicago Bears.
Speaker 6 (37:12):
Like it's just like it's this is a relationship we
all And by the way, they didn't even they've never
owned Soldier Field. No, they were given this thing by
the park district. Basically, they mean where they least it
to them. They've had a sweetheart deal for how long
we paid for the renovations when I did the I mean,
what have they really nothing.
Speaker 1 (37:34):
They've been skating by pretty well. Yeah.
Speaker 3 (37:37):
I just I've been thinking about Soldiers specifically because they've
had concert after concert after concert after concert, and they
got to get ready for the season.
Speaker 1 (37:46):
We've got preseason this weekend. Seriously, I don't know if
the grass is going to be ready.
Speaker 3 (37:50):
And we already saw Foxboroughs having trouble getting their turf
ready for this weekend as well.
Speaker 1 (37:55):
We don't know if that's going to be ready. But
Soldiers always had issues with their grass.
Speaker 4 (37:59):
Yeah, because of all the soldiers that march on it.
Speaker 6 (38:02):
That's not the sign of a competent or incompetent organization.
You can't playing surface isn't good. I mean, forget Godfather here,
Godfather get him over there. Yeah, he kind of did
fix that. I think he was the guy that finally
did kind of.
Speaker 1 (38:21):
Get it going there.
Speaker 4 (38:22):
Why don't I know about Sodfather?
Speaker 1 (38:24):
This is a new name for me.
Speaker 6 (38:25):
Roger Bosser, the groundskeeper for the Chicago White Sox, is
like renowned. He's one of the he's like the groundskeeper
and he's called they call him the Sodfather. They brought
him up to Wrigley to fix their issues. You know,
if you remember like the games, if they rained during
the day, you likely would not play that night. Or
(38:46):
it'll be poorn at six o'clock and they'll be playing
playing at seven. Yeah, the Sodfather, the sod Father. Isn't
that great name?
Speaker 2 (38:52):
O God?
Speaker 1 (38:53):
No blessing Sodfather.
Speaker 3 (38:55):
Yeah, but Pat, you've also got your other podcast you had.
You recently had Ozzie on before he got his number retired.
Speaker 6 (39:03):
That I actually had him like the day after. Oh nice,
So it was I mean Ozzie, it was what they
were saying. It was Ozzie Baluza the whole weekend and
the retiring of his jersey was such a huge moment
and a great response to that. Uh so, yeah, he
came on the podcast. It was our fiftieth episode. And
by the way, I brought you guys skincare.
Speaker 1 (39:23):
We got you some product t Handley the Uncomplicated skin care.
Speaker 6 (39:32):
But yeah, we had Ozzie in. I mean, he's just
hilarious and just talks. He just keeps, you know, asking
one question and you'll go, you know, he's off and running.
Speaker 1 (39:42):
Yeah, but what a life.
Speaker 6 (39:43):
And really he has become like the face of that franchise,
you know, And I knew him, you know, as a
kid just watching him play, I knew him as their shortstop.
He was you know, played thirteen seasons with the White
Sox war number thirteen and he was the thirteenth player.
Speaker 1 (39:59):
To have his Oh this is Jersey retires to retire.
Speaker 5 (40:03):
That is Taylor Swift's favorite. I'm sorry, amble on sports.
I do not Okay, good talk to just checking in you.
Oh yeah, having a lass.
Speaker 1 (40:15):
So much money, you have no idea?
Speaker 4 (40:17):
Are you going to go all in?
Speaker 2 (40:18):
No?
Speaker 1 (40:18):
She told me all the other day. She got me.
Speaker 2 (40:20):
She convinced me to go all in on the Cubs.
I put it was just two hundred is what I
had in the account. Put two hundred in, doubled it doubled.
You're welcome, and then one last night again do it again.
I don't know all in. We have to do research. No,
we don't streak. I am on a hot streak.
Speaker 6 (40:34):
It's crazy to do is talk about it?
Speaker 1 (40:39):
How about the Chicago wind Bags or the Chicago River Rats. Okay,
that's our cue to go.
Speaker 3 (40:45):
All right, thank you for being in here as.
Speaker 1 (40:50):
Dogs.
Speaker 3 (40:50):
Yes, yeah, there's already a dogs. Hot Dogs is a
minor league team and sham Brath all right, all right,
but we'll talk to Pat again next Thursday.
Speaker 1 (41:02):
This again. You're gonna smack your lips if you're not looking.
It sounds very weird.
Speaker 3 (41:08):
Oh you're going to suck your teeth too. You called
me out for second teeth. Oh my god, I'm hitting
a button.
Speaker 1 (41:17):
I'm parched.
Speaker 4 (41:19):
Pat it a army to drink? The best way to
enjoy theirs? Correction? Please bye listing.
Speaker 5 (41:25):
Yeah, we're gonna tell you one way than heady God,
what you barner?
Speaker 4 (41:29):
I drink? The Japanese brewery Yona Yona Ale.
Speaker 5 (41:33):
Has come up with a wild new way to keep
customers from drinking too much beer and to help them
stay hydrated along the way. They created a custom staggering
beer glass that forces you to sip water all while
you're also sipping beer. The glass features a built in
vertical divider right down the middle. I love this, splitting
(41:54):
the cup into two separate chambers. You pour beer in
one half and water in the other. If you drink
only the beer and ignore the water, the shifting weight
causes the glass to immediately tip over and spill when
you set it down. Even worse, if you try to
finish the beer without setting the glass down, Tilting it
far back causes the water on the other side to
pour straight onto your forehead.
Speaker 4 (42:15):
The gold forst is moderation if you're into that, kind
of like.
Speaker 1 (42:19):
A challenge, excepted both sides with beer, Like, what are
we doing? Give me this glass?
Speaker 2 (42:31):
Can I get it in a wine glass? Because that's
what I really need the water. That's an interesting idea.
Whoever came up with that, although I feel like there's
a lot of spilling broke it.
Speaker 3 (42:43):
What did you did you find it online? The it's
a U shaped glass?
Speaker 1 (42:49):
Let me what was the name of it? A game?
Speaker 4 (42:51):
Maria? Well, I pulled up the picture of it. Yeah,
but it looks like okay.
Speaker 1 (43:00):
Oh my god, it's oh it's like yeah, interesting.
Speaker 2 (43:02):
It's like a it's like a U shaped tube so
to speak, Like it's not like a tube like a cup.
It's like a yeah, has two holes on the end
and like a tube that is in a U shape
like to close female friends.
Speaker 1 (43:15):
I don't know how to explain it. Get right now,
that is true. That's way to explain it. It's like
a double sided.
Speaker 2 (43:22):
Okay, that's such an interesting idea.
Speaker 4 (43:27):
There's today baby. Yeah, well okay, Marison kind of wins
that one. I don't have anything else to say.
Speaker 1 (43:33):
It's their stay. Put booze on one, whiskey on one
side and on the other. Really, just light it up,
that'll do. That's actually not a bad the whiskey and clear.
Speaker 4 (43:45):
It is a terrible idea. It's such a bad idea,
but what it is it is a fun idea.
Speaker 1 (43:51):
Double sided alcohol, baby, yeah, double.
Speaker 4 (43:53):
Side and whatever whatever. That black pole. We gotta sit up.
Good morning mosh fit on Rock ninety five. Boys, What
are we doing sports? My favorite part is.
Speaker 1 (44:11):
Mars Yes, sir, have I seemed happy lately? You are
punk cloud forty?
Speaker 4 (44:16):
You have sad? Is that like an option for emotions?
Speaker 1 (44:20):
Free? No?
Speaker 2 (44:20):
Only only when I'm alone. Cubs back in DC again tonight.
Yesterday they won a big win twelve to six against
the Washington Nationals. Shout out to all my gambling friends
who are winning tons of cash off the Cubs right now.
They are on a winning streak. Anybody who's betting on
the Cubs are on a winning streak. And again, third
day in a row. Here's my bet. People are hit
me up in DM saying like you're winning me money,
(44:42):
Cubs money line. Maybe all in. But Cubs money line.
Nico Horner hit, Pete Crow Armstrong hit those three that
three way parlays hit for me two nights in a row,
over five hundred dollars.
Speaker 3 (44:54):
I did warn you about parlays, but these hit parlays
for you right now.
Speaker 2 (44:57):
Well, the Cubs bats are free, so they're hot anyway.
Speaker 1 (45:01):
Fun fun to watch the Cubs right now.
Speaker 2 (45:03):
The last game of a three game series going on
today out in Washington, d c. White Sox last night
beat the Cincinnati Reds five to nothing. Big one out there,
jeez blanked so speaks. Lewis Castillo was outstanding in a
second start since the trade from Seattle. He through seven
score listenings and allowed just one hit. The great night
(45:23):
out there.
Speaker 3 (45:24):
I will say the Castillo trade was probably one of
my favorites from the trade deadline.
Speaker 1 (45:30):
It's a great move for the White Sox to boll
through up that bullpen.
Speaker 2 (45:33):
You know what I'm interested in. I wonder if we
have some people listening White Sox fans who gamble on
the White Sox, because if you think about it, there's
two teams in town we could win with the Cubs
and the White Sox go all in.
Speaker 3 (45:45):
I would, uh say, you would be taking different bets
with the White for sure, for sure.
Speaker 1 (45:50):
Yeah, but yes you can.
Speaker 2 (45:52):
If Castillo's pitching, you hit the overnight strikeouts.
Speaker 1 (45:56):
Or something and are kind of fun. Yeah, no, it
could be very interesting.
Speaker 3 (46:00):
Also tonight, Yeah, preseason football kicking off.
Speaker 1 (46:04):
That's right, it starts tonight.
Speaker 3 (46:07):
It looks like there are six games that are going
on tonight if you want to get some football in
along with all the other sports happening in Chicago.
Speaker 1 (46:16):
It's a beautiful time of year. Michael.
Speaker 2 (46:17):
Are the Indiana Bears playing? I'm kidding, I'm kidding, just
showing so hard. Indiana Bears. What do they put an
eye on?
Speaker 4 (46:27):
The sounds bad, it looks bad.
Speaker 1 (46:29):
It is bad in jamer there's no way to get it.
I feel bad because I watched that pressor with the
Governor of Indiana. He's all in. They think they've got it,
and he's.
Speaker 3 (46:39):
Like, oh yeah, we're gonna make these moves and we're
gonna make it great for the Bears.
Speaker 1 (46:43):
And I like, I have this feeling.
Speaker 3 (46:45):
Like they're gonna still be in Illinois somehow, some way,
But we gotta wait on them to tell us what
they're gonna do.
Speaker 4 (46:51):
It's a good feeling. I didn't say. It's a sweet emotion.
Speaker 1 (47:11):
The learn it's time to dark out, workout. X Men
ninety seven season two. We got the season finale.
Speaker 3 (47:24):
We got nine beautiful animated episodes of the X Men,
one of my favorites there over on Disney Plus.
Speaker 1 (47:32):
Amazing. It was great. It was great storytelling.
Speaker 3 (47:37):
One thing that The X Men has always done well
is they have a lot of people that you can
get very distracted in with storytelling, and they did the
storytelling excellently, So everybody got their time excellently.
Speaker 1 (47:50):
Do you have a favorite X Men? Oh no, okay, Michael,
is there a triple X Men movie?
Speaker 4 (47:56):
Maybe?
Speaker 1 (47:57):
Has that ever been done? It's different, it's a different wolf. Okay,
there you go.
Speaker 4 (48:02):
Just be Magneto.
Speaker 1 (48:03):
I want hands Magneto. That's also a great choice.
Speaker 3 (48:06):
I'm a big fan of night Crawler and Bishop, who
were featured a lot during this season. I have one
very big ripe. Yeah, this X Men is streaming in general.
You cannot continue to give me some of the best
storytelling that you have ever put out and only give
(48:27):
me nine episodes.
Speaker 1 (48:28):
Yeah, that's true. Are really gonna leave you on like
they and and again they did a great job telling
the story.
Speaker 3 (48:34):
But if they had twenty they could have really spread
this out and done some really great things with this season.
Speaker 4 (48:40):
Maria Palmer, my favorite X Men is the hot dog vendor.
Speaker 1 (48:45):
What does the hot dog vendor do?
Speaker 4 (48:47):
It was stan Lee and that was this cameo, and
that's my favorite X Men.
Speaker 1 (48:52):
Does he have mutant powers? Maria?
Speaker 4 (48:54):
He's got hot dogs?
Speaker 1 (48:55):
Does he shoot him? Does he make hot dogs out
of his body? He shoots you with an out of
You could have mutant hot dog vendor.
Speaker 3 (49:04):
You could You could be a hot dog vendor today,
which would negate the mutant powers of being a hot dog.
Speaker 4 (49:11):
No, but it's Stanley.
Speaker 1 (49:13):
Yeah, Stanley is the goat. Yeah, I gotta go.
Speaker 4 (49:17):
I don't know why you're trying to negotiate with me.
Speaker 1 (49:19):
I'm gonna keep it.
Speaker 2 (49:20):
I've told you Maverick on the YouTube chat Merris agreeing
with you nine episodes is a disservice.
Speaker 1 (49:24):
Yes, yeah, they Look, here's the thing.
Speaker 3 (49:27):
If anime can give me twenty episodes, Disney plus, you
can do the exact same and you will make even
more money, which is crazy. I know you love money,
mister Mouse.
Speaker 4 (49:37):
But to their credit and I hear.
Speaker 1 (49:42):
A watch of money.
Speaker 4 (49:43):
Wouldn't you rather something be well done than drawn out?
Speaker 3 (49:46):
I'd rather have more of the well done than anything.
But if that's not the option, I mean, obviously I
like what we got, but so they did leave.
Speaker 1 (49:55):
You want more, though you're still very I need more,
See I need more in season three's done. They've already
got it done.
Speaker 4 (50:02):
Trying to get that hot dog vendor.
Speaker 1 (50:05):
We'll find you a hot dog vendor.
Speaker 3 (50:06):
They're very close to the station perfect eight four four
ninety five fifty.
Speaker 1 (50:11):
Did you watch X Men ninety seven season two? And
what were your thoughts? And now fun to the head
on Rocky? Yeah, don't worry.
Speaker 3 (50:20):
Using whoa, whoa, yess yes, see what's going on over there?
How you doing doing?
Speaker 1 (50:27):
And you how you doing? We're fantastic.
Speaker 3 (50:29):
If I'm reading this correctly, it says adult bookstore. Please explain. Hello, alright,
work at a dog bookstore and rosella Illinois.
Speaker 1 (50:38):
Awesome. We have we have a we have a showroom
in the front, and then we have an arcade in
the badge.
Speaker 2 (50:44):
When you say arcade, yeah, watch, of course there it is.
Speaker 3 (50:51):
You're not playing games, you're watching and that's where we're
going to stop because I like my job.
Speaker 1 (50:56):
I love you, Jesse, to go. He's in Rosell Wow,
I'm on rosel on Lake Street. There we go, Joystick
Lake Street. Indeed, welcome to Fun to the Head. It's
the lovely fame.
Speaker 3 (51:10):
You answer trivia questions, we get shot with nerve darts,
and you can take one of us hostage to provide
you a save if you don't know the answer to
a question. And that is your first decision. Jesse, who
do you want to take hostage? Maria, Michael or myself?
Speaker 1 (51:24):
I'll take Michael. Yeah, he's a fan, let's go. I'm
a socks fan. So I'm a socks fan. So hey,
do you gamble?
Speaker 4 (51:34):
So you want him to get shot?
Speaker 1 (51:36):
Never mind? Okay, stop asking that gamble? Well I kind
of want to gamble on the socks too.
Speaker 4 (51:41):
Now all right, so anyway, question one?
Speaker 1 (51:43):
All right, remember you got to save. I can say
you own a question.
Speaker 5 (51:46):
What Mooney Tunes hunter is famous for chasing bugs Bunny
while warning everyone to be vail we vailly quiet.
Speaker 2 (51:55):
Oh we hunting rabbits?
Speaker 1 (52:01):
Five Huh, yep, you got it. El.
Speaker 5 (52:06):
I'm gonna tell you to think of the glue okay,
question two. It was the director of the two thousand
and three horror film House of one Thousand.
Speaker 1 (52:18):
Corpses, Rob Zomby. I'm well done. One more. You got
the tickets?
Speaker 5 (52:27):
What is the name of Fred and Wilma Flintstone's young daughter.
Speaker 1 (52:32):
Doubles man? You know what?
Speaker 4 (52:36):
You wanted him to get shot? And who am I
to deprive you of the thing?
Speaker 1 (52:40):
That well? Jesse, thank you, Maria, damn it, Jesse.
Speaker 3 (52:45):
I hope you can take Actually you probably for me
to take a day off the bookstore Black Label Society
over an Aragon ballroom on Saturday September twelfth. You're all set,
you want some tickets, but who do you plan on
taking with you?
Speaker 1 (53:00):
My son the one Michael.
Speaker 2 (53:05):
Do you guys have those dolls at that store? It's
like the real dolls? Do you have the reel dolls
yet at the store?
Speaker 1 (53:11):
You work out?
Speaker 3 (53:13):
Oh no, we we got them, but the business and
we've botofold went out of business, so we had one.
Speaker 1 (53:18):
It was a thousand dollars, so.
Speaker 2 (53:19):
Oh wow, okay, so no return today, ye, Jesse, thank you?
Speaker 1 (53:26):
What was the name of the store again? He's a
dog cheek and it rolls out row and Michael is
making a trip.
Speaker 2 (53:36):
Yeah, just just divert your eyes when I come in.
Speaker 1 (53:38):
I don't like I contact. I'm used to it.
Speaker 4 (53:43):
You're gonna be slick as a slug Jesse.
Speaker 3 (53:46):
Thank you for everybody else. Go get your tickets at
ticketmaster dot com. All thanks to our friends over at
Live Nation, the.
Speaker 2 (53:54):
Lackey, Chicago's rock station. We are the Morning mash Pit.
My name is Michael Palmer. It was a.
Speaker 1 (54:03):
Palmer there we go. So you got in your mouth. Sure, well,
I believe.
Speaker 4 (54:08):
This is a right TwixT, but it might be left.
Speaker 1 (54:10):
Okay, very nice. It's text time, not TwixT time. Text time.
Speaker 4 (54:15):
I can muscle test TwixT time.
Speaker 2 (54:17):
For her from the seven eight m Yeah all right,
uh thirst day Today is number four. Today is number
fourteen of fourteen from the Fireball single shot bottles from Christmas.
Then maybe something extra since the power has been out
for three days.
Speaker 1 (54:33):
Oh yeah, I'm sorry about that.
Speaker 2 (54:35):
Shout out to everybody out there still dealing with the storms.
I mean that, really we got pummeled from the six
to three ohs. In the nineteen seventies movie Santa Claus
Is Coming to Town, Miss Clause pre marriage name was
Miss Jessica. She was the school teacher who helped him
sneak into town and give toys to children.
Speaker 3 (54:54):
Okay, okay, so I think that's like one miss Jessica
before she was married to Chris Crinkle.
Speaker 1 (55:01):
In that movie. Yeah, yeah, miss Jessica. Wrong, Alfrida.
Speaker 4 (55:07):
Alfrida was the one now free to clalls.
Speaker 1 (55:11):
Let's hear from the nine to five.
Speaker 2 (55:13):
I had my brakes go out on a scooter, so
I grabbed a stop sign to stop myself, and the
sign broke off, but it did stop me. That's Puck
guy in San Francisco on the Discord channel. We were
talking about earlier how someone died got if by truck
riding a scooter, and then these scooters are crazy.
Speaker 1 (55:30):
They're crazy. There's a ton of scooter accidents. Yeah, you
should have.
Speaker 4 (55:33):
To wear a helmet. I know that it's lame, but
it is also leg saving.
Speaker 2 (55:37):
I would say more more important than that. Stay off
the sidewalk. I don't care about your head. Your head's
your own business.
Speaker 4 (55:42):
You did get a car, so not a great either.
Speaker 2 (55:45):
That's true. Gotta be careful. Look both plays from the
two one nine. Speaking of razor scooters, did anyone actually
fold theirs up and put it away. Thirty five miles
per hour on something you stand on is crazy. Going
that fast on an e bike makes more sense because
it's basically a motorcycle.
Speaker 1 (55:59):
But now a scooter.
Speaker 2 (56:01):
Yeah, yeah, you can hit the ground. You just don't
realize how fast.
Speaker 1 (56:04):
Thirty roll.
Speaker 2 (56:07):
Yeah, God forbidding. Get tangled in you you know, you
fall and it sort of tangles under.
Speaker 1 (56:12):
Oh, come on.
Speaker 2 (56:14):
From the two one nine, I am one hundred percent
down to eat a tomato every day. Have you ever
had a tomato and mayo sandwich? Delicious? But these are
my people good.
Speaker 3 (56:23):
I cannot say that I've had one of those ever.
Speaker 1 (56:26):
Well, I will.
Speaker 4 (56:26):
Make your tomato and mayo sandwich.
Speaker 1 (56:28):
I may pass.
Speaker 4 (56:29):
No, no, no, it's actually like I know that that
sounds weird. It's so good.
Speaker 2 (56:33):
Oh if this person also has another hot take shake
shack sucks. No, I extremely hot take shakeshack is so solid.
When I lived in Virginia, they had tomato festivals and
so they would have tomato sandwiches, they would have tomato ice,
anything you can do with tomatoes. Yeah, you dig it.
I love to From the two six too, Maria is
(56:53):
getting heated about the Bears. For someone who doesn't like sports,
I think Mikey and Maris are starting to rub off
on her.
Speaker 1 (56:59):
Okay, for from the seven h eight.
Speaker 2 (57:01):
Early this morning, I woke up during the power outed
and grab my phone. I had a text from the
Illinois Lottery that said, you were a winner.
Speaker 1 (57:09):
Check the app.
Speaker 2 (57:11):
Thanks for the hype. I won four bucks.
Speaker 4 (57:17):
That's what dating feels like.
Speaker 2 (57:19):
That's terrible, but they say that's Mikey good since it
was a two dollars ticket to win four, so it
doubled up. And finally from the seven to seven nine,
My understanding is that the NFL wants out of Soldier Field,
and NFL teams can veto a new team in their area.
No matter where the Bears move, there's probably there probably
won't be an expansion team at Soldier Field, as much
as we would love to see it.
Speaker 5 (57:39):
So why are we just giving the NFL full power?
That seems kind of absolutely ridiculous.
Speaker 3 (57:43):
It's the It's yeah, there's a lot to this, and
hopefully we'll have a resolution of seeing signs that somebody
might speak on.
Speaker 1 (57:52):
The issue today from the Bears.
Speaker 3 (57:53):
Maybe, yeah, maybe an announcement we'll talk about it won't
find out.
Speaker 2 (57:57):
So, yeah, get your last minute text in eighty four
five fifty. That's eighty four and five five. What are
we gonna be for Halloween?
Speaker 4 (58:03):
We are the morning mash bit. I'm rocking ninety five five.
Chicago's professional rocks. What professional?
Speaker 1 (58:09):
He said, what Maria professional?
Speaker 4 (58:11):
Chicago's professional?
Speaker 1 (58:13):
We professional? We ain't pro professional.
Speaker 4 (58:19):
We're not getting professional.
Speaker 3 (58:22):
We did have a professional in the room today, Pat
McGann stopped by.
Speaker 5 (58:26):
Was he a professional? I couldn't tell because he walked
in in the middle of aeration. Awesome, wow, funny, But.
Speaker 3 (58:33):
Yeah, I think Pat, he's gonna be coming by regularly
on these thursdays of ours. Yeah, we get to have
friends in studio like that.
Speaker 5 (58:42):
Our initials are the same, but flipped. I'm MP and
he's PM.
Speaker 4 (58:46):
It's nice. It's fun on the morning mast.
Speaker 1 (58:49):
Which is MP.
Speaker 3 (58:50):
I got it, thank you, and it all comes together.
It was beautiful when you explained it the first time.
I loved it like the stars. Michael, Yes, Or have
you settled on your gamble addiction?
Speaker 1 (59:00):
I have? What are you doing?
Speaker 2 (59:02):
I got a home run bet On Pete Crow Armstrong
to hit a home Alex Bregman to hit a home run.
Speaker 1 (59:07):
These aren't together. These are over here. There's ten dollars
on each. That's nothing. So two of those.
Speaker 2 (59:14):
But the big bet is the same one that's hit
the last three days in a row won me over
four over five hundred dollars. Now, uh cubs money line
Pete Crow Armstrong with a hit and U Nico Horner
with a hit. Just those three boom money, go all in.
I got a big bet on that one tonight.
Speaker 1 (59:30):
I want a lot. I put one hundred bucks on it,
so we'll see.
Speaker 4 (59:33):
Is that all in?
Speaker 3 (59:34):
I have six dollars in that count account. Now he's
playing with extra money. Now it's all.
Speaker 1 (59:39):
Winnings at this point.
Speaker 4 (59:40):
And why do you have extra money?
Speaker 2 (59:41):
Because that you did tell me to go all in?
I want four hundred dollars.
Speaker 4 (59:45):
When it comes to me, always go all the way in.
Speaker 1 (59:52):
I don't know how to finish the show.
Speaker 4 (59:53):
After that, I'll help you finish.
Speaker 1 (59:57):
If you want. You want them to go all in?
Speaker 4 (01:00:00):
Touch me? Oh god, no, we're talking this. Get on
sports for that right.
Speaker 2 (01:00:06):
What And by the way, thanks to everybody who hangs
out on the live chats. We've been doing this for
a couple of weeks now, more than everybody's invited, YouTube, Facebook, Instagram.
We are live in the studio, on the air, off
the air, and you can.
Speaker 1 (01:00:17):
Hang out with us.
Speaker 4 (01:00:18):
And on that note, nothing else matters. Oh, it's the
title of the song. I'm just gonna walk.
Speaker 1 (01:00:25):
Off now Waltz next.
Speaker 3 (01:00:27):
We need a professionally, she's still no.
Speaker 1 (01:00:32):
I bur from now. I did that on purpose.
Speaker 3 (01:00:35):
I did that on We'll See You Tomorrow because tomorrow
is free Jesus and you need it.
Speaker 1 (01:00:43):
Riding
