Speaker 1 (00:01):
And that is corn off the cob on the morning
mosh pit on Rock 95.5.
Speaker 2 (00:07):
You know what you find in a corn in? A cornucopia.
Speaker 3 (00:13):
I find in what?
Speaker 2 (00:14):
A cornucopia.
Speaker 3 (00:15):
No, but where do I.
Speaker 2 (00:16):
Find it in? Corn. You find corn in a cornucopia.
Speaker 3 (00:19):
Oh.
Speaker 4 (00:19):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (00:20):
Okay. You know what happens in cornucopia?
Speaker 5 (00:23):
Please tell us, Michael.
Speaker 3 (00:24):
Fall.
Speaker 2 (00:26):
And you know what else?
Speaker 3 (00:26):
Oh my God.
Speaker 5 (00:28):
Don't.
Speaker 2 (00:29):
The pumpkin spice latte is back today to kick off
our fall. Look at Maria and what she's drinking right now.
Speaker 3 (00:36):
I am a white woman.
Speaker 5 (00:39):
What?
Speaker 3 (00:40):
This is the elixir of my people.
Speaker 5 (00:42):
Oh, my God.
Speaker 1 (00:43):
And unfortunately, I took a sip this morning and I
was like, oh, I gotta go to Target.
Speaker 2 (00:47):
Where are your stars in your boots? Well, she said
she goes, how'd she put it? She goes, she goes, oh,
my God, this awakened something in me.
Speaker 3 (00:55):
That's wrong. I feel like I need to start, I
don't know, treating pencil grips again.
Speaker 5 (01:01):
I've never been happier not to drink coffee. But Michael,
tell me about it.
Speaker 3 (01:06):
Michael says don't go outside or look out your window.
Speaker 5 (01:08):
It'll ruin the surprise.
Speaker 4 (01:10):
Here's weather.
Speaker 3 (01:11):
Have you tried a pumpkin spice latte?
Speaker 5 (01:13):
Yeah, I've tried the trash before.
Speaker 2 (01:15):
Are you sure? You said no a second ago. You've
tried it? Because that could be an epic taste.
Speaker 3 (01:21):
It's not trash.
Speaker 2 (01:23):
What's it say? Did somebody write something on your cup there?
Speaker 1 (01:26):
No.
Speaker 2 (01:27):
It says high fall.
Speaker 3 (01:29):
It actually says hay fall.
Speaker 5 (01:30):
All right, whatever.
Speaker 3 (01:30):
Well, it's even better because it's a pond, like a
hay ride.
Speaker 5 (01:34):
You got a degree or a temperature there, bud?
Speaker 2 (01:35):
Sorry, yeah. A very fallish high of 79 degrees today. Oh, boy.
Sunny in the morning, about 11. It's going to get
a little cloudy until 1, and then some afternoon sunshine, too.
But other than that, dry and beautiful today.
Speaker 3 (01:49):
I don't think that 79 is that fallish.
Speaker 2 (01:50):
It's not.
Speaker 3 (01:51):
I think it's pretty summery.
Speaker 5 (01:52):
It really is.
Speaker 2 (01:52):
No, no, no.
Speaker 5 (01:54):
We got summer until October.
Speaker 2 (01:56):
What are you drinking over there? A pumpkin. A spice latte.
Speaker 3 (02:00):
And I disagree with Starbucks.
Speaker 5 (02:01):
I'm going to distract him.
Speaker 2 (02:03):
Hey, Michael.
Speaker 5 (02:03):
Aliens. What? Aliens.
Speaker 2 (02:05):
Yeah, they're real.
Speaker 5 (02:06):
Can we talk about it next?
Speaker 4 (02:07):
Yeah.
Speaker 5 (02:07):
Let's go.
Speaker 2 (02:09):
Linkin Park's brand new documentary, Unshatter, drops this weekend with
a worldwide theatrical release.
Speaker 5 (02:16):
I love it.
Speaker 2 (02:16):
Should be pretty good. Rack 95.5, Chicago's Rock Station. Do
we believe in aliens around there? Of course I do.
Speaker 4 (02:22):
Yes.
Speaker 2 (02:23):
You do?
Speaker 4 (02:23):
Okay. Yes.
Speaker 2 (02:25):
Uh uh regina regina is in the room with us
she's shadowing regina do you believe in aliens she does
too okay so well uh according to a new survey
americans are twice as likely to feel curious versus fearful
about the confirmed existence of aliens 38 to 17 yeah
(02:45):
i want to meet them Here's the thing. At this point,
we see so much bad stuff all the time that
aliens seems like middle ground for me. Like nuclear war
or aliens.
Speaker 3 (02:58):
Aliens, I'll take aliens.
Speaker 5 (03:00):
Thinking about how far they had to go to get here.
It's not like they're puddle jumping from Mars. They had
to travel.
Speaker 2 (03:06):
Well, but maybe they have technology and stuff where they
can go, you know, 10 times faster.
Speaker 5 (03:12):
I was watching an article or watching a reel on
social and they were basically like, look, If it takes
light years to get to another planet, when you come home,
everybody that you know is gone.
Speaker 2 (03:25):
Crazy.
Speaker 1 (03:26):
Well, they'd have to have different technology, but that's where
my suspension of disbelief stops. I believe there's other life
out in the universe. I'm not sold that it is
advanced technology. Or close enough.
Speaker 5 (03:39):
It's our cousins. They out there making a mess, too.
Speaker 2 (03:43):
Yeah. Did you hear about that mall thing in Miami?
It was like last year or something. They like like
700 police cars surrounded them all. And they were like,
there were some kids fighting in the mall. People coming
out of that mall were saying that they were seeing
nine foot beings in the mall that were glowing and
stuff like that. Or like they were in Miami. Had
a big look at the story. Yeah.
Speaker 4 (04:04):
Right.
Speaker 2 (04:06):
All right.
Speaker 5 (04:09):
You want me to believe an alien story about Florida
coming out of Florida?
Speaker 2 (04:12):
Yes. Fifty five percent of people admit they were not
prepared as a society to process the existence of otherworldly beings.
They didn't specify where they had landed. There's been a
pretty good chance that people would be more fearful than
curious if the aliens landed in their neighborhood. but if
it's in another country or something, we're cool with it.
Speaker 1 (04:35):
Yeah, that's the thing. They'd be like, oh, I'm not scared.
I just want to point my gun at them, but
that's all. I just want to make sure they're not
going to hurt me, but I'm not scared.
Speaker 2 (04:42):
I just think there's too much smoke for the aliens
at this point. We've heard too many stories. There's been
whistleblowers all over the place who worked in the government,
CIA forever, and they're like, oh, yeah, they have alien beings.
They have them.
Speaker 5 (04:54):
One of my professors was in the military and he
swears by UFOs.
Speaker 6 (04:58):
Really?
Speaker 5 (04:59):
That he saw with his naked eye.
Speaker 1 (05:01):
What?
Speaker 2 (05:01):
What did he say?
Speaker 5 (05:02):
I'll show you the clips because he's arguing with Bill
Nye the Science Guy.
Speaker 2 (05:05):
Really? Oh, that's cool.
Speaker 5 (05:07):
It's wild.
Speaker 2 (05:07):
But like, yeah, I believe it.
Speaker 5 (05:09):
But it's also like, if you're going to keep that
under wraps and they're just here regularly as we expect, like,
how can we not know?
Speaker 2 (05:16):
Or why are you hiding it?
Speaker 3 (05:18):
I got friends that can talk.
Speaker 5 (05:19):
To the wind. Really?
Speaker 4 (05:21):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (05:21):
They swear by it.
Speaker 5 (05:22):
Oh, that's crazy.
Speaker 2 (05:23):
It's real. With all the voices of the mountains.
Speaker 5 (05:25):
844-955-9550.
Speaker 2 (05:25):
Text us.
Speaker 5 (05:27):
Yeah, we want to hear. Do you believe in aliens?
Do you not believe in aliens?
Speaker 4 (05:36):
Why?
Speaker 5 (05:38):
I've seen an alien. If you say Michael, I swear
to God.
Speaker 2 (05:42):
Oh, yeah.
Speaker 3 (05:45):
Those news headlines sure can get you down.
Speaker 5 (05:50):
And they do.
Speaker 1 (05:51):
And then the corporate shills came to me and said,
what if you put a positive spin on those headlines?
Speaker 3 (05:56):
You want to know what I said?
Speaker 5 (05:58):
You said yes, of course.
Speaker 3 (05:59):
Absolutely.
Speaker 1 (06:00):
Any extra money or extra creative help that you're offering
for this absolutely insane task that you're just throwing on
my desk, assuming one can do it?
Speaker 2 (06:08):
And they went, nope.
Speaker 3 (06:08):
And I went, okay, bet. This is Bien Nuit Vierge.
Speaker 1 (06:15):
Karen Solomon, wanted in connection with the death of her
officer husband, believed to be found dead in woods, police say.
Speaker 4 (06:23):
That's a deep one.
Speaker 5 (06:27):
There's a lot happening there.
Speaker 2 (06:28):
I can't even make a joke. The joke that came
into my head is the worst thing you've ever heard,
so I can't say it. Let's go. No. No, no, no.
Speaker 5 (06:33):
Trust me.
Speaker 2 (06:33):
You can't say it.
Speaker 3 (06:34):
You want to know why she went to the woods? What?
Speaker 2 (06:36):
Get back to her roots well that's cute okay.
Speaker 1 (06:39):
Multiple dead including children in montana shooting and house fire at.
Speaker 2 (06:44):
Least montana's beautiful yeah that's what you got out of
that that's a nice place okay i wish.
Speaker 1 (06:50):
I knew more about that case i got a lot
of burning questions michigan mass shooters violence had frightened close
ones for years then came a killing spree I mean,
who amongst us hasn't frightened.
Speaker 3 (07:05):
Close ones before, you know?
Speaker 1 (07:08):
Four Georgia Police Department employees arrested after alleged misuse of
flock cameras.
Speaker 3 (07:14):
But they're supposed to be our big brother.
Speaker 2 (07:16):
Yes. Boys behind noise mirrors.
Speaker 3 (07:19):
Boys behind noise mirrors.
Speaker 2 (07:25):
Now, here's the bit-only plug with Maris. Plug it.
Speaker 5 (07:32):
844-955-9550. It's time for Fun to the Head, so we
need you to be caller 10. Give us a call
so you can answer trivia questions. We're going to get
shot with Nerf darts. Michael, are you okay?
Speaker 2 (07:42):
I bumped my AK against the microphone. Your AK is crazy.
Nerf AK. Nerf AK.
Speaker 4 (07:48):
I know.
Speaker 2 (07:49):
N-A-K. It's a new one.
Speaker 5 (07:53):
Also, you can take one of us hostage to provide
you a save if you don't know the answer to
a question. But we need you.
Speaker 4 (08:02):
844-955-9550.
Speaker 5 (08:03):
Michael, what's that number? 844-955-95... You're going to break that microphone.
Speaker 2 (08:09):
No, that was my... You shouldn't have done it like that.
Speaker 3 (08:11):
Can I do it? 844-955-95... Pop a pumpkin. Oh!
Speaker 1 (08:12):
Oh!
Speaker 5 (08:16):
All right, somebody's getting shot for real today.
Speaker 3 (08:18):
Maris is Papa Pumpkin.
Speaker 5 (08:19):
Maris loves fall. We're going to go straight to the
phones here.
Speaker 3 (08:22):
Okay, Papa.
Speaker 2 (08:23):
All right. Rock 95.5, who are we speaking with?
Speaker 5 (08:26):
This is Brian. Brian!
Speaker 2 (08:28):
What up, Brian? Welcome to Fun to the Head, my man.
Speaker 5 (08:31):
This is the lovely trivia game where you're going to
answer questions live on the radio and not curse. We're
going to get shot with Nerf darts if you get
questions wrong, but you do get a save if you
don't know the answer to a question by taking one
of us hostage. And that is the first decision you're
going to make right now. Right, Brian?
Speaker 4 (08:50):
Yes, sir. All right.
Speaker 2 (08:51):
Who are you taking hostage? Myself, Michael.
Speaker 3 (08:55):
Oh, yeah.
Speaker 2 (08:57):
Oh, I like this. I got a save for you, bro,
if you need one. But you only get one, so
use it wisely.
Speaker 5 (09:03):
All right, Maria, are you ready?
Speaker 3 (09:05):
Born ready, Marius.
Speaker 5 (09:06):
Let's go.
Speaker 3 (09:06):
Thank you, Papa.
Speaker 1 (09:08):
What video game character famously says, it's-a me?
Speaker 5 (09:13):
Mario.
Speaker 2 (09:14):
Yes! One for one.
Speaker 5 (09:16):
Well done, my man. Well done.
Speaker 2 (09:18):
Indeed.
Speaker 3 (09:20):
Which 1990s sitcom featured the Bundy family?
Speaker 4 (09:25):
Married with Children.
Speaker 3 (09:26):
Married with Children is right.
Speaker 4 (09:27):
All right.
Speaker 5 (09:28):
Brian is unstumpable. One more and you got the tickets,
my man. Dog.
Speaker 1 (09:33):
What was the name of the fictional newspaper where Clark
Kent worked in Superman?
Speaker 2 (09:39):
Daily Planet.
Speaker 5 (09:40):
Wow.
Speaker 2 (09:42):
You really showed up today, Brian.
Speaker 3 (09:45):
Hot damn.
Speaker 1 (09:46):
Wow.
Speaker 2 (09:46):
That was great.
Speaker 5 (09:47):
I mean, Michael was there to help you, but you
didn't need it or want it.
Speaker 2 (09:51):
But you are good to go.
Speaker 3 (09:52):
Still had to get that in.
Speaker 5 (09:54):
You're going to see Rob Zombie over at Credit Union

Speaker 3 (10:15):
That's awesome what's your wife's name shout her out.
Speaker 2 (10:19):

Speaker 5 (10:20):
Cora.
Speaker 3 (10:20):
We knew Brian and Cora.
Speaker 5 (10:21):
You're going to an amazing show. This is going to
be a great one. Rob Zombie has never let me down.
I've seen him three times and they've all been spectacular.
Speaker 2 (10:30):
And different shows.
Speaker 3 (10:30):
I need to go.
Speaker 5 (10:31):
All different shows. You should absolutely go.
Speaker 1 (10:33):
Yeah.
Speaker 5 (10:33):
Go and meet Brian.
Speaker 3 (10:35):
Yeah, Brian and Cora.
Speaker 4 (10:36):
Yes.
Speaker 3 (10:37):
We're going to hang out. I'm going to be a
third wheel.
Speaker 4 (10:38):
There you go.
Speaker 5 (10:39):
I'm like a big wheel.
Speaker 2 (10:40):
You're the front wheel.
Speaker 4 (10:41):
That's good to me.
Speaker 5 (10:42):
I would never call you a big wheel, Maria. But
everybody else, go get your tickets at Ticketmaster.com. All thanks
to our friends at Live Nation. No, go ahead, Maria.
You've got 10 seconds.
Speaker 3 (10:52):
I don't make those jokes anymore.
Speaker 5 (10:54):
Yes, you do. Go ahead.
Speaker 3 (10:55):
No, I'm not married.
Speaker 5 (10:56):
Make the joke.
Speaker 3 (10:57):
No, that's okay.
Speaker 5 (10:58):
It's fine.
Speaker 3 (10:59):
In the name of the Father, and of the Son,
and of the Holy Spirit.
Speaker 4 (11:01):
Amen. Nerd alert.
Speaker 5 (11:07):
It's time to dork out. Dork out. Big weekend in
movie theaters coming up here as Unshatter, the documentary from
Linkin Park, will be debuting in theaters. And also, one
of the highly anticipated movies of the last three years,
Coyote vs. Acme, will be in theaters on Friday. If
(11:30):
you don't know the lore behind this one, Warner Brothers
made a perfect movie. and then canned it for tax write-offs.
And then once we were told about this at Comic-Cons
and the such, as the stars were talking about it,
Every fan said, I want that. And through a very big,
(11:51):
I'll call it a nonchalant campaign because I don't think
it was ever official. Fans got it back and Warner
Brothers brought it back to theater. The Prentice's Wile E.
Coyote is suing Acme for all the faulty products that
he's used over the years. Will Forte and John Cena
are going to be starring in this one. The trailer,
absolutely stunning and amazing.
Speaker 2 (12:11):
And here's one of my.
Speaker 5 (12:13):
Absolute favorite things about this movie. i haven't seen it
i haven't seen a preview but uh those that have
said that will forte has mentioned that there is a
very nice message at the end of the movie uh
thanking fans and it says dedicated to everyone who posted
shared held up signs and spoke out when it counted
this film made it to the big screen because of
(12:36):
you Yeah. That's huge.
Speaker 1 (12:39):
Also, big shout out to Will Forte, who fought so hard.
Speaker 5 (12:43):
For that movie.
Speaker 4 (12:44):
Oh, absolutely.
Speaker 3 (12:44):
My God.
Speaker 5 (12:46):
Yeah, he was going to make sure this movie happened,
hell or high water. But it's just one of those
things where proper fan outpouring shows that we care a lot.
And I think a lot of these streaming services just
in general forget how much we care about a lot
of these properties that they put out. We all grew
up on Looney Tunes.
Speaker 2 (13:06):
The new generation is growing up on Looney Tunes.
Speaker 5 (13:09):
Looney Tunes is a part of American culture at this point,
probably internationally, too.
Speaker 2 (13:14):
What was it that was so fun about– I think
it was the simplicity for me about Roadrunner cartoon.
Speaker 5 (13:20):
It was all slapstick. It was like set up, pay off,
set up, pay off. You've got people being blown up,
just weird stuff happening.
Speaker 2 (13:27):
It was funny.
Speaker 5 (13:28):
It was to make kids laugh.
Speaker 3 (13:29):
Well, and it was well done. It was well written,
incredibly well animated.
Speaker 2 (13:33):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (13:34):
And again, Will Forte. Shout out, because you're right. This
was such a beloved franchise, Looney Tunes. I guess franchise
may not be the word, but Looney Tunes in general.
We wouldn't trust just any comedian to even make that movie,
so let alone be fervent about getting it out when
the studio is trying to can it.
Speaker 3 (13:51):
That is a feat.
Speaker 2 (13:52):
Right. My girlfriend and I are going this weekend. You
both are invited, by the way. Yeah, I'm going. She
made sure to ask if you guys want to go.
Speaker 5 (13:58):
I've got to figure out when I'm going to see Unshattered,
but I'll let you know. Okay.
Speaker 2 (14:01):
Yep.
Speaker 5 (14:02):
But yes, 844-955-9550. I know we're all excited. Let us
know why you're so excited about Coyote vs. Acme coming
out in studios this weekend.
Speaker 2 (14:32):
Rock 95.5, Chicago's rock station.
Speaker 5 (14:35):
Don't blow past that.
Speaker 2 (14:36):
Why are you smelling the tissue? These are lens wipes.
Why are you smelling the lens wipes? I think it
has alcohol on it. It smells kind of good.
Speaker 1 (14:45):
You ever meet someone who you're pretty certain could chloroform
themselves by accident?
Speaker 2 (14:49):
Just kill myself. Smells good, I swear. According to BuzzFeed, no,
that was still around. If you say these words or phrases.
Speaker 3 (14:58):
You're old.
Speaker 5 (14:58):
All right, you ready?
Speaker 3 (14:59):
If you're reading from BuzzFeed.
Speaker 2 (15:01):
I'm guaranteeing that I'm old. Number 10, if you say
supper instead of dinner. Yeah, who says supper?
Speaker 5 (15:08):
It depends on who's preparing.
Speaker 2 (15:10):
That makes me miss my grandma.
Speaker 3 (15:11):
Do you say supper?
Speaker 5 (15:12):
If grandma's... Making supper. Yeah.
Speaker 2 (15:14):
Oh, my God. Even when you say supper, it sounds
so good because those meals were so good.
Speaker 5 (15:19):
It takes you back and it brings you to a
different spot.
Speaker 3 (15:22):
I have said supper under one context only. The last supper.
Speaker 5 (15:26):
That's true.
Speaker 3 (15:27):
And that was the last one that was relevant.
Speaker 5 (15:29):
I was really expecting a dirty joke out of you,
but good job.
Speaker 3 (15:31):
I don't make those jokes anymore.
Speaker 5 (15:33):
I'm not married.
Speaker 2 (15:35):
It's a pretty famous supper.
Speaker 5 (15:37):
All right, here's another one.
Speaker 2 (15:38):
Did you say beauty parlor? Maybe you got to head
down to the beauty parlor?
Speaker 3 (15:43):
These really are old, old.
Speaker 5 (15:45):
What do you call it?
Speaker 2 (15:47):
Salon.
Speaker 5 (15:48):
Oh, yeah.
Speaker 3 (15:49):
Do you say beauty parlor?
Speaker 2 (15:51):
I don't go to a salon or a beauty parlor.
Speaker 3 (15:53):
Maybe you should.
Speaker 5 (15:54):
No, I'm going to a barbershop.
Speaker 2 (15:55):
Treat yourself. This is a good one. Pocket. Have you
seen my pocketbook? Instead of purse or wallet.
Speaker 5 (16:03):
Oh, my God.
Speaker 2 (16:05):
If you say earbuds or ear pods instead of air
pods or earbuds.
Speaker 7 (16:10):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (16:11):
Yeah.
Speaker 5 (16:12):
That's just a little.
Speaker 1 (16:13):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (16:13):
Come on.
Speaker 5 (16:14):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (16:16):
Oh, yeah.
Speaker 1 (16:17):
You got your earpods and your earbuds and your dogs
playing football.
Speaker 5 (16:23):
Did we just wander into this ocean?
Speaker 3 (16:25):
We ran into Ron territory. Sorry about it.
Speaker 5 (16:28):
Maria's little secret character. They're not so secret.
Speaker 4 (16:30):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (16:31):
He actually has a new podcast up, I think.
Speaker 3 (16:33):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (16:36):
If you say the word shrink instead of therapist.
Speaker 3 (16:38):
Is that old?
Speaker 2 (16:39):
I do that. Yeah.
Speaker 5 (16:40):
It's like just swapping terms. Yeah.
Speaker 7 (16:42):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (16:43):
If you say half past or quarter till, I still
say that.
Speaker 5 (16:47):
For those of us that know how to use clocks.
Somebody called yesterday, right? Kids don't know how to read
hand dials on a clock.
Speaker 2 (16:54):
They were taking the clocks off the walls because nobody
could read them.
Speaker 5 (16:57):
They had to put up digital ones.
Speaker 3 (16:59):
I don't know.
Speaker 2 (17:00):
We're in trouble.
Speaker 5 (17:01):
But then you have to do the math to figure
out what time it is.
Speaker 3 (17:04):
Can we not add by five?
Speaker 2 (17:06):
This is a pretty good one and one that cut
directly through the middle of when we were all growing
up saying pound sign. or hashtag that's a huge one
I say both still do you I used to say
pound sign but then I mean hashtag took over it's
also like a pound sign it's in.
Speaker 5 (17:21):
Reference if I'm talking about something on social media it
is a hashtag but if I'm on the phone trying
to tell you to hit the pound sign it's the pound.
Speaker 3 (17:29):
Sign I guess that's true that's what I call unwrapped
condoms pound.
Speaker 5 (17:32):
Signs where's the bill yes i.
Speaker 3 (17:36):
Got the fact that you even just yeah thank you okay.
Speaker 2 (17:39):
How about this one i remember when my dad brought
home our first handy cam those sony oh my hand
cam with the tape thing that popped out you actually
put the tape in it uh if you say videotaping
instead of recording oh i'm gonna go out and do
some videotaping.
Speaker 3 (17:53):
Well we don't make videotapes anymore i was.
Speaker 5 (17:55):
Gonna say it depends on the day uh.
Speaker 2 (17:57):
What's a word you tell us 844-955-9550 if you still
say it You're old.
Speaker 3 (18:03):
You say a phrase all the time, Mikey. That makes
you go, oh, yeah, that's right. He's older.
Speaker 5 (18:07):
What?
Speaker 3 (18:08):
At any rate.
Speaker 2 (18:09):
I do like that one. At any rate.
Speaker 3 (18:10):
I do like it, too.
Speaker 4 (18:11):
Is that old?
Speaker 2 (18:12):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (18:14):
The man who sold the world. Sold it for a coupon.
Half off.
Speaker 1 (18:20):
40-mile spit on Rock 95.5. We are the other half. Anyway, boys,
what are we doing?
Speaker 3 (18:25):
Sports! I love this.
Speaker 2 (18:29):
Oh, baby, the Cubs had a big win yesterday.
Speaker 5 (18:31):
Yeah, go ahead.
Speaker 2 (18:32):
Love to see that. Cubbies blanking. The Diamondbacks out there
in Arizona. Bats hot. Every bat hot on the team,
except the two I needed to win some money. That
was awesome. Back in action again. Another late one tonight
in Arizona against the Diamondbacks. Actually, I'm sorry. Today's 840.
Tomorrow's a 240. So we've got an afternoon game tomorrow.
Speaker 5 (18:53):
Well, the Rangers are in town taking on Sox over
at Rayfield. And boy, did they put a whooping on
winning 11-2 yesterday. Bats get cold. Bats get hot. And
right now, As we are creeping into September, it is
time for Bats to be on.
Speaker 2 (19:14):
Every team that wants to do anything in the playoffs,
you've got to go now.
Speaker 5 (19:17):
I still feel like Chicago is going to make it
to the playoffs, but I want a very good push. Considering,
I think I heard yesterday that this last month of
baseball for the Sox is going to be mostly, I
want to say 80% of the teams are above 500
right now.
Speaker 4 (19:35):
Oh, Jesus.
Speaker 5 (19:36):
So this is really going to test the Sox out.
And after yesterday, we need a bounce back.
Speaker 2 (19:40):
Well, then the Cubs got a four-game series coming up
against Milwaukee. Wow. Don't you laugh. We're going to sweep them.
Aren't you already 20 games above 500? It doesn't matter.
We got to beat Milwaukee.
Speaker 5 (19:52):
All right. If you beat Milwaukee, how many games are
you guys back? I don't know how all that works out.
I got you.
Speaker 2 (19:58):
I got you. I got a question for you, Maris.
The Chicago Bears put out a post on their social
media that has like sort of a flared shot of
like a jersey that Sort of. And it just says rivalries.
Speaker 7 (20:13):
82526.
Speaker 2 (20:13):
What does that mean?
Speaker 5 (20:14):
Nike's putting out new NFL jerseys for rivalry games. So
the speculation is that these jerseys are going to be
very flashy.
Speaker 2 (20:22):
Oh, that's cool. And I don't know what that means.
Like the color rush. Remember the Seahawks back in the day?
It's similar to the color rush, but it's going to be.
separate and different. Are we finally going to get a
white jersey?
Speaker 5 (20:33):
Oh, they've done Polar Bears before.
Speaker 2 (20:35):
Polar Bears was super cool.
Speaker 5 (20:37):
Yeah, I love that one for them. After I think
I saw what it could be, I'm very scared.
Speaker 2 (20:45):
Oh, wait a minute. That's today. 8-25-26, right? So I
wonder if that's actually out then. It's not out yet.
I haven't seen it. I would say like.
Speaker 5 (20:55):
A tenor or something. But you know what is out?
The Disney Collab. What's that? Disney collab with the NFL.
And they've got all these characters that are featured from
our childhood with our favorite NFL teams. Like Simba is
featured with the Lions. Captain America is featured with the
New England Patriots. And Baloo the Bear is featured with
(21:17):
the Chicago Bears.
Speaker 2 (21:18):
We got the Baloo?
Speaker 4 (21:19):
Yes.
Speaker 2 (21:19):
I love Baloo the Bear.
Speaker 3 (21:21):
Me too.
Speaker 2 (21:22):
Look for those bear necessities.
Speaker 5 (21:24):
What movie is that from Maria?
Speaker 2 (21:29):
The Rams got who's the big, the big scary guy
off of monsters, Inc.
Speaker 4 (21:33):
The big one. Sully?
Speaker 2 (21:35):
Yeah, so they got Sully. That's kind of fun.
Speaker 5 (21:36):
Nice. You know what else we got?
Speaker 4 (21:38):
What?
Speaker 5 (21:39):
Four-packet tickets to Six Flags Great America. They are celebrating
a season pass sale going on right now for next year.
Go ahead and take advantage of that at SixFlags.com slash
Great America. But right now, I got a four-packet ticket
for you.
Speaker 1 (21:54):
844-955-9550.
Speaker 5 (21:54):
Michael, what's that number?
Speaker 4 (21:56):
844-955-9550.
Speaker 3 (22:05):
Oh, humanity. Oh, the humanity. Oh, we are humanity.
Speaker 1 (22:14):
Something we care deeply about down the morning wash pit,
especially in the midst of the inevitable human versus robot war.
Speaker 2 (22:21):
News from the front of the inevitable human robot war.
Speaker 1 (22:25):
Amazon has raised prices on a wide range of devices,
including Kindles, Echo speakers, and Fire TV products, saying higher
memory and storage costs are to blame. Kindle prices rose
by an average of about 28%, with the basic 16GB
Kindle jumping from $ 110 to $ 150. The Kindle Kids model
(22:45):
rising from $ 130 to $ 180. The Paperwhite now starts at $ 200.
The Paperwhite Signature Edition costs $ 250. Whatever, I can sit
and go through prices, whatever. Amazon says it absorbed rising
component costs for as long as possible before changing prices.
Speaker 3 (23:00):
However, the Kindle Scribe.
Speaker 1 (23:02):
Models kept their old starting prices even though they have
more memory than cheaper Kindle models that became more expensive.
Speaker 5 (23:09):
Hogwash.
Speaker 2 (23:09):
What is the Kindle? I've never heard of this.
Speaker 3 (23:12):
So some people read.
Speaker 2 (23:13):
Oh, is that the reading thing?
Speaker 5 (23:15):
Yeah. Okay. I'm out. Yeah.
Speaker 3 (23:18):
You'll get to full sentences.
Speaker 5 (23:19):
Soon, buddy. Yeah, memory is not that expensive anymore. The
price has actually been coming down, so I don't know
what they're talking about.
Speaker 1 (23:25):
I would like someone who knows a little more about
tech on this end to text or call an 844-955-9550
because I, in my own little conspiracy theory brain, think that.
storage and like cloud storage is the same thing as
roaming back in the day remember roaming that's exactly what
they're doing and then that magically went away and they
didn't actually have to charge us for going outside of
(23:47):
whatever zones i think it's the same thing like storage
but then there there are all those data centers being
built allegedly for storage.
Speaker 5 (23:55):
So this isn't physical memory on each of the devices
they're charging you for cloud.
Speaker 1 (24:00):
No this is this is physical memory okay okay yeah
okay It seems like, yeah, this is physical memory.
Speaker 5 (24:07):
Yeah, it doesn't make sense. Because you remember the little
mini SD cards you used to put in your phone?
I hated those. You hated them?
Speaker 2 (24:15):
Yeah, I hated them.
Speaker 4 (24:16):
Why?
Speaker 2 (24:16):
Because you had something else to deal with. Some little
tiny thing that I have to keep track of now.
Speaker 5 (24:22):
I used to have two terabytes of music on my thing.
Speaker 2 (24:24):
Really? I didn't know you could put that much on there.
Speaker 4 (24:26):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (24:26):
Oh, that's cool.
Speaker 1 (24:27):
Plus, then you could just switch your SIM card into
your new phone and not have to deal with that.
Speaker 2 (24:31):
It was hyper convenient because on the new phone, I
just log into my Apple account and everything's there. You
don't need a SIM card.
Speaker 5 (24:40):
It also has to download for a long time, too.
It's not that long.
Speaker 2 (24:43):
Not on Apple. You have a Samsung, so it might
take a while for you.
Speaker 1 (24:46):
If anything ran out on your cloud on your last phone,
you don't get any of that. That happens to me
every time. I lose so much stuff going from iPhone
to iPhone.
Speaker 5 (24:53):
Also, why were you recording us with your meta glasses, Michael?
Speaker 2 (24:56):
Just because. I wasn't recording anything.
Speaker 5 (25:00):
We saw the light flashing.
Speaker 2 (25:02):
Oh, they put a light on these now, son of a...
Darn it.
Speaker 3 (25:06):
And that's how they win. The human versus robot war.
Speaker 2 (25:09):
This was news from the front of the inevitable human
robot war.
Speaker 5 (25:17):
We are the Morning Mosh Pit on Rock 95.5. I
am Maris.
Speaker 3 (25:20):
I'm Maria Palmer.
Speaker 2 (25:21):
I'm Michael.
Speaker 5 (25:22):
And unfortunately, with pumpkin spice dropping today at one place,
fall is unfortunately in the air. But you know what
that also means?
Speaker 4 (25:33):
Hmm.
Speaker 2 (25:34):
Tailgate season for football is here. The leaves are changing already.
Speaker 5 (25:40):
I will say, I will tailgate for a baseball game,
but when you tailgate for football, it's just different. It
is different.
Speaker 2 (25:47):
Bundle up a little. Yeah, we should go down to
a Bears game and tailgate.
Speaker 3 (25:50):
Yeah, we need to tailgate a Bears. We should have
an official morning mosh pit tailgate.
Speaker 4 (25:54):
Sure.
Speaker 3 (25:54):
We got to work on that.
Speaker 5 (25:55):
Fairly expensive, but we can make it happen.
Speaker 3 (25:57):
We got a truck.
Speaker 5 (25:58):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (25:59):
I can make chili.
Speaker 2 (26:00):
I can.
Speaker 5 (26:02):
You want a chili at a tailgate?
Speaker 3 (26:05):
You don't want chili at a tailgate?
Speaker 2 (26:07):
No, I want handhelds. Well, for sure.
Speaker 5 (26:09):
I don't want to be sitting around spoon and forking.
Speaker 2 (26:13):
What?
Speaker 5 (26:14):
Okay, all right.
Speaker 7 (26:15):
What?
Speaker 2 (26:15):
Depends on the handheld.
Speaker 5 (26:18):
844-955-9550. What do you want at your tailgate? No chili
at a tailgate? Maria wants chili for some reason. Heathen.
Speaker 2 (26:26):
You put some.
Speaker 5 (26:27):
Meat on the grill.
Speaker 3 (26:28):
Chili is one of the tailgate foods.
Speaker 2 (26:30):
I have never had chili at a tailgate.
Speaker 3 (26:32):
I've almost exclusively had chili at tailgates.
Speaker 2 (26:35):
Okay. I don't think I've ever had chili at a tailgate,
but it does sound good.
Speaker 3 (26:39):
You get it in your little cup. You got your spoon.
Speaker 2 (26:42):
Oh, you put it in a cup. Yeah, you can
have it in a cup.
Speaker 5 (26:44):
That's crazy. That's wild.
Speaker 2 (26:45):
It's delicious.
Speaker 5 (26:47):
Do you eat it with a spoon, too? Michael, you
go to a tailgate. You're coming to a tailgate. You're hosting.
What are you putting in there?
Speaker 2 (26:57):
Dogs and burgers.
Speaker 5 (26:58):
Dogs and burgers. Right. You said you put chili in
a cup.
Speaker 2 (27:02):
She's hitting him. She has moved behind Maris in the
studio and is hitting him.
Speaker 5 (27:07):
You give me some ribs. You give me some hot
dogs and brats.
Speaker 3 (27:12):
Oh, ribs are okay, but not chili?
Speaker 2 (27:14):
Handheld.
Speaker 1 (27:15):
Meat.
Speaker 2 (27:15):
Come on j-dub in the uh youtube chat says this
is maris's worst take ever it really.
Speaker 5 (27:21):
Is take yes are you guys thinking like 40 degree
tailgates and that's when you want to have.
Speaker 1 (27:27):
Chili cook-offs at a tailgate yes i've seen cook-offs a
thousand times.
Speaker 2 (27:30):
No i no okay you're so wrong so that you're
so how can you suck a chili dog without chili.
Speaker 5 (27:38):
Garmar i can't do with this right now. But here's
the thing. When I go, I don't want a cup
and a spoon. Give me the handheld items and let
me max out and be a full carnivore at a tailgate.
Speaker 3 (27:50):
Okay, what are your tailgate foods?
Speaker 5 (27:51):
You gonna sit and simmer the chili all morning or
you gonna cook it the night before?
Speaker 3 (27:55):
You're gonna crock pot it and bring it out. What
are your... Okay, no.
Speaker 5 (27:58):
Rot, Polish, dog, burgers, wings. If you got the guy
that can do it, get him to get the ribs
out because ribs.
Speaker 2 (28:07):
You throw them in the garbage.
Speaker 4 (28:09):
What?
Speaker 2 (28:10):
Yeah, that's a good question.
Speaker 5 (28:11):
I wonder what you mean by that.
Speaker 3 (28:12):
Ribs are not easier to eat than chili from a cup.
Speaker 5 (28:15):
You get that man on the slow cooker. Oh, my God.
Speaker 2 (28:18):
I would say that ribs are messier.
Speaker 5 (28:20):
He's the first one at the tailgate, and he's got those.
Speaker 3 (28:24):
Oh, so he's bringing his grill.
Speaker 2 (28:27):
He's been there for days. Slow cooking.
Speaker 3 (28:29):
But God forbid we have a crock pot with some chili.
Speaker 5 (28:31):
Okay, so you have a whole electrical source at your
tailgate that you're utilizing.
Speaker 3 (28:36):
Sometimes they bring generator. Yeah, it's not like we are.
Speaker 5 (28:38):
Okay.
Speaker 3 (28:39):
Like if there's a car, you.
Speaker 2 (28:39):
Can wear it.
Speaker 5 (28:41):
There's a clear split difference here in how Maria and
I tailgate.
Speaker 2 (28:46):
This is unbelievable. What about wings? I can't believe this
is an argument right now. Wings.
Speaker 3 (28:51):
Wings are easier than chili?
Speaker 4 (28:53):
Yes.
Speaker 5 (28:55):
No.
Speaker 2 (28:56):
They're messier.
Speaker 3 (28:57):
They're messier. You got bones to throw away.
Speaker 5 (29:00):
Yeah, this is getting hot, and we got phones going
right now.
Speaker 2 (29:03):
Okay, what about a dip? If you're saying chili, what
about a dip?
Speaker 5 (29:07):
Let me play something, and we're going to continue this conversation, right?
Speaker 3 (29:11):
Me and Michael are right.
Speaker 5 (29:12):
Here we go. WCHI HD1 Chicago. You are immersed in
the morning mosh pit on Rock 95.5. All right. We
got to have you call in at this point. 844-955-9550.
How do you tailgate? Are you bringing a grill? Are
you bringing a generator so you can have your crockpots ready?
Speaker 2 (29:32):
Are you catering?
Speaker 5 (29:36):
How are you tailgating? Text in. Hit us so that
we know.
Speaker 2 (29:40):
Rock 95.5.
Speaker 5 (29:40):
Who are we speaking with?
Speaker 2 (29:43):
This is Angela. Angela, how are you doing today? I
am doing great.
Speaker 5 (29:48):
How are you?
Speaker 2 (29:49):
I'm doing good. Weigh in. How do you tailgate?
Speaker 3 (29:55):
Just walked into work.
Speaker 5 (29:58):
So, Angela, when you go to a tailgate, what do
you like? What are the fixings that you have on site?
Speaker 7 (30:05):
Oh, gosh, we all bring all kinds of beer and pop.
Speaker 4 (30:08):
Okay.
Speaker 5 (30:08):
All kinds of beer. Food-wise, what do you do, Angela?
Speaker 2 (30:13):
Usually chicken.
Speaker 5 (30:14):
We do all kinds of chicken legs, chicken thighs, and
then we grill them, and then we put some sauces
on them. Okay.
Speaker 4 (30:21):
Really?
Speaker 1 (30:21):
What are your thoughts on chili at a tailgate?
Speaker 7 (30:27):
Oh, I mean, that would be good, too.
Speaker 3 (30:29):
Yes.
Speaker 2 (30:30):
But have you ever seen it at a tailgate?
Speaker 3 (30:32):
Have you had chili at a tailgate?
Speaker 7 (30:34):
Yeah.
Speaker 5 (30:35):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (30:36):
All right. Thank you, Angela, for calling in. Let's hit
Joe here from St. Charles.
Speaker 5 (30:41):
Joe from St.
Speaker 2 (30:41):
Charles.
Speaker 5 (30:42):
How are you doing, my man?
Speaker 2 (30:44):
Good.
Speaker 4 (30:44):
How are you?
Speaker 5 (30:44):
All right. You're going to a tailgate. Are you expecting chili?
What are you bringing?
Speaker 2 (30:51):
No, I'm with you, Maris. Handhelds for sure. Both meat
and sandwiches. Chili's all right.
Speaker 3 (30:58):
But you agree that chili is present at a tailgate.
Speaker 4 (31:03):
Yes.
Speaker 5 (31:03):
Yeah, okay, cool.
Speaker 2 (31:04):
But you got to have the handhelds too.
Speaker 5 (31:05):
Sure, yeah. Okay, so you can have a smorgasbord. Michael,
what do you got for me?
Speaker 2 (31:09):
I got a couple texts rolling in here. This is
from the 630. Season ticket holder. I'm at every home
game at 8 a.m. tailgating. I'm with Maria. Maris has
lost his damn mind. What?
Speaker 3 (31:19):
I love being right from.
Speaker 2 (31:20):
The 815 Maria you do not crock pot chili SMDA
oh my god.
Speaker 3 (31:26):
You can absolutely crock pot chili get out of here.
Speaker 5 (31:29):
Joe thank you so much we're gonna get another caller
here rock 95 5 who are we speaking with.
Speaker 7 (31:35):
This is John from the YouTube chat otherwise known as
portable ham sandwich.
Speaker 3 (31:40):
Portable ham sandwich help me.
Speaker 4 (31:42):
Out here how's it going guys I.
Speaker 1 (31:44):
Know you're on my team with this weigh in are
you bringing chili to a.
Speaker 7 (31:48):
Tailgate I'm sorry, man.
Speaker 5 (31:51):
I got to go with Mully on this.
Speaker 7 (31:53):
I would have to go with Chili.
Speaker 2 (31:55):
But hear me out.
Speaker 5 (31:56):
Hear me out.
Speaker 7 (31:57):
Not to.
Speaker 2 (32:00):
Completely wrong you, Maris.
Speaker 5 (32:02):
Thank you.
Speaker 7 (32:04):
As far as handhelds, I would say burgers.
Speaker 4 (32:07):
Yes.
Speaker 7 (32:07):
Not necessarily ribs. Ribs are a bit messy, but burgers
can do burgers, can do dogs, but... Especially when you're
getting into the cold weather, you got to go with
the chili, especially when you sprinkle some shredded cheese on top.
Speaker 2 (32:21):
All right.
Speaker 5 (32:22):
That's a lot of extra work there.
Speaker 3 (32:24):
A little sour cream.
Speaker 5 (32:25):
John, thank you for calling in. Let's get one more
caller here to weigh in. Also, if you can't get
through on the phone lines, text in 844-955-9550. How do
you like your tailgate, chili or not? Rock 95.5, who
are we speaking with?
Speaker 4 (32:37):
This is Tommy from Seattle area.
Speaker 3 (32:41):
What's up?
Speaker 5 (32:42):
All right, so tell us, are you having chili at
your tailgate?
Speaker 2 (32:46):
Seahawks tailgate.
Speaker 4 (32:47):
Oh, 100%. Thank you.
Speaker 5 (32:48):
What?
Speaker 2 (32:49):
Wow, I love this.
Speaker 3 (32:50):
What?
Speaker 2 (32:50):
So right. So publicly.
Speaker 5 (32:52):
I don't know. Go ahead, sir.
Speaker 4 (32:53):
I'm Native American. I'm Hawaiian. And we do fry bread
with chili on top.
Speaker 5 (33:02):
Oh, that sounds amazing.
Speaker 2 (33:04):
Hey, where are you at up there in the Northwest?
Where do you live?
Speaker 4 (33:07):
I live in Snohomish County.
Speaker 2 (33:08):
Snohomish County, yeah.
Speaker 4 (33:09):
My name is Jax 1.
Speaker 2 (33:11):
That's awesome, man.
Speaker 4 (33:13):
I'm big on the Seattle dogs for handheld.
Speaker 5 (33:17):
Okay.
Speaker 2 (33:17):
I lived in Seattle for 15 years, man. Appreciate you listening.
Speaker 5 (33:20):
Hey, thank you for calling in, man. We appreciate it.
I got to ask another question. Is it not? If
it's 90 degrees out and you're at a football tailgate,
are you still winding up to chili?
Speaker 3 (33:30):
No, you're trying to bring heat into it.
Speaker 4 (33:33):
Yes.
Speaker 3 (33:33):
No, you're changing.
Speaker 5 (33:35):
The whole thing.
Speaker 2 (33:36):
No, it's tailgating in different seasons. It's Chicago.
Speaker 5 (33:39):
We could see a 90 degree day in December. It
can happen. So are you still lock and loading with
the chili?
Speaker 3 (33:46):
Probably not. You want to know why?
Speaker 2 (33:47):
Because I'm a reasonable person with discretion. Final text from
the 814. crock pot chili is love crock pot chili
is life wow I feel like I won this.
Speaker 5 (33:56):
844-955-9550 I'm gonna listen to this break later let us
know keep weighing in because there's something wrong with me
I don't want chili at a tailgate I want all.
Speaker 2 (34:10):
Those supple meats but yes text in 844-955-9550 oh social media.
Speaker 1 (34:17):
It sure has changed since we were kids.
Speaker 3 (34:19):
And now kids are on it. Like a lot of them.
Speaker 1 (34:22):
But in a survey of 2,000 adults, two-thirds of them
believe kids under the age of 16 should just be
banned from creating social media accounts outright.
Speaker 2 (34:33):
Under 16, you said?
Speaker 4 (34:34):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (34:35):
I did read a study that said the longer you
can keep your kids off social media, the better.
Speaker 3 (34:41):
I believe that's true.
Speaker 5 (34:42):
I'm okay with it. I just think... At this point
in time, we've been around it long enough. You have
to teach your kids how social media works. You can't
just hand it to them and go create an account
and go crazy. You have to provide them an education
on this is real. This is AI. This is fabricated.
Speaker 2 (35:00):
Imagine how hard that is to do for a kid.
Speaker 5 (35:02):
Somebody showing you this, but that is not the essence
of it. You know, you got to be able to
read into it. And it's just media training.
Speaker 2 (35:09):
But if you had a ban up until 16, you
would preserve a lot of innocence of those kids. And
you wouldn't even have to teach them that until they hit, what, 10, 11, something,
where they kind of can start understanding it. I don't
hate this, but it is interesting to think about that.
I saw some ad the other day from like the
60s or 70s where there was like a giant statue.
guy in a cigarette costume going around giving people cigarettes
(35:30):
in a hospital to promote like smoking I mean back
in the day there was things that were seemed very
normal to people that aren't anymore what if down the
road they're like no you gotta be 18 to get
on the internet social media.
Speaker 5 (35:44):
And it's probably what will be coming next you know
and when we think about how social media started with
Facebook you were in college you had to have a
college email to even get access to.
Speaker 3 (35:56):
Facebook to compare pair of women.
Speaker 5 (35:58):
It was like a hot or not. But I mean,
at that age, like we knew what we were doing.
I mean, should we have, should we have posted all
those drunk photos? No. Are they all hidden on Facebook now?
Speaker 1 (36:10):
Yeah, I totally disagree. I don't think that we did
know what we were doing. How could we, we didn't
know what social media was going to become. We didn't
know how each generation was going to treat it entirely
differently and judge the other generations based on how they
treat it. We didn't know little sub-communities were going to
form and that also it was going to make our
actual real life more polarized.
Speaker 3 (36:31):
Politically, too, is a huge thing.
Speaker 2 (36:33):
I don't think that we knew. All the porn? That's
just lovely. That I like.
Speaker 3 (36:38):
I like that part of it. Happy Tentacle Tuesday, by
the way.
Speaker 5 (36:40):
Oh my goodness.
Speaker 4 (36:41):
What?
Speaker 5 (36:42):
Girls?
Speaker 2 (36:42):
Nothing.
Speaker 5 (36:43):
Somebody call her.
Speaker 3 (36:44):
Anyway, kids should not be online.
Speaker 1 (36:46):
Um, now who's responsibility though, is it, do you think
it's a parent's responsibility?
Speaker 2 (36:51):
It's always, you're responsible for your kids.
Speaker 5 (36:54):
It starts with the parents, but as you're going through school, like,
like learning any other technology, it's just like, here's how
it works. Here's how you set up a profile. Here's
what you can't, what you can post, should post. Here's not,
not to post or, you know, like different, I don't
want to say guidelines, but essentially it's just like being,
(37:15):
Be smart. It's like a dare class on a Saturday.
Speaker 2 (37:17):
And how smart were we at 14? Right now. My
little brother got charged with distribution of child pornography. Oh,
my God. He was 14. his girlfriend sent him a
picture and he sent it to one of his buddies. Well,
also crappy. Well, super crappy, but he's, I mean, it
ended up getting dropped. I think he did a little
community service or something, but still a horrible thing. But
at the same time, but these are the things that
(37:39):
you don't really can't navigate at an age like that.
Speaker 5 (37:42):
I don't think, you know, the consequences, two conversations right there. One,
don't send it. And yes, two, don't share it.
Speaker 2 (37:48):
Don't receive it. Stop doing that.
Speaker 4 (37:50):
Yeah.
Speaker 5 (37:50):
And then once you make it aware in, at that age, like,
This is what will happen if you share this. Your
brother didn't have that information. Nobody told him. But you
as a big brother, if you told him that, you
can say, oh, I told him.
Speaker 2 (38:06):
Unfortunately, I was way older than him, so I was
long gone before.
Speaker 5 (38:08):
He was growing up.
Speaker 3 (38:09):
It's like giving a toddler a loudspeaker.
Speaker 1 (38:11):
You need to trust that they're not going to say
the F-bomb to a crowd on the loudspeaker. But in
order to do that, they'd have to know that the
F-bomb is bad. They'd have to know what the reaction
of the crowd is going to be. They need to
know the difference between speaking into the loudspeaker and talking
to your mom. It's a very nuanced kind of deal.
Speaker 5 (38:27):
But the parameters are there. They know. All right.
Speaker 4 (38:30):
Imagine.
Speaker 5 (38:31):
Provided it. We're all pregnant.
Speaker 3 (38:34):
Not hard for you to imagine at all, Mikey.
Speaker 2 (38:35):
Shut up. So on the YouTube chat, people are pretending
I'm pregnant, making memes. Anyway.
Speaker 3 (38:39):
We're not pretending.
Speaker 2 (38:40):
Starting tomorrow, what's your social media policy?
Speaker 5 (38:43):
What do you mean?
Speaker 2 (38:44):
I think I keep them off till 10.
Speaker 4 (38:45):
10?
Speaker 2 (38:45):
I'm going to keep them off till 10 years old.
Speaker 3 (38:48):
I'm agreeing with 16. I'm keeping them.
Speaker 5 (38:50):
Off until 16. Yeah, I'm fine with 16.
Speaker 3 (38:52):
And even then, I'm monitoring.
Speaker 2 (38:55):
Interesting. What do you think?
Speaker 5 (38:56):
844-955-9550.
Speaker 2 (38:57):
Text us. We'll read some back in text time. Or
you can hit us up on YouTube chat, Facebook chat,
or Instagram. We're streaming everywhere.
Speaker 5 (39:08):
Five-ish things you almost certainly need to know.
Speaker 2 (39:12):
It's a hell of a community service.
Speaker 5 (39:14):
I'll tell you that much. Things. 844-955-9550. We want you
to spin our Wheel of Rock. Amazing concerts all summer long.
And while summer is winding down, we still got shows
to give you tickets to. The likes of Stain, Breaking Benjamin.
and rob zombie all up for grabs but we need
you 844-955-9550 uh cheez-its is opening up a mall food
(39:40):
court pop-up it's y2k inspired and here are the items
A Wagyu corn dog coated in panko and Cheez-It crumbs.
Speaker 3 (39:51):
Why are we just Wagyu-ing everything?
Speaker 5 (39:53):
Because Wagyu is amazing.
Speaker 3 (39:54):
But you're ruining the whole point of the Wagyu if you're, like,
frying it and stuff.
Speaker 2 (39:57):
Well, you bet it's not real Wagyu.
Speaker 5 (39:58):
Yeah, it's not.
Speaker 2 (39:59):
It's like gas station Wagyu. Yeah, I know. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Speaker 5 (40:02):
And you've also got a cheese stick loaded with Cheez-It
seasonings and hot and spicy cracker crumble.
Speaker 4 (40:09):
Okay, yeah.
Speaker 2 (40:09):
All right.
Speaker 3 (40:10):
I can get behind that.
Speaker 5 (40:11):
Yes, indeed. A woman, a comedian, got all of her
ex's mother's names tattooed on her ribcage.
Speaker 3 (40:19):
Oh, what?
Speaker 5 (40:20):
Yeah. She says it was a temporary tattoo that she
designed to call out a comedy skit she was doing,
but everybody didn't find that funny.
Speaker 2 (40:28):
Waka waka.
Speaker 5 (40:29):
Waka waka.
Speaker 3 (40:30):
So the headline is she got a temporary tattoo.
Speaker 5 (40:33):
Of names.
Speaker 2 (40:35):
Unfunny comedian.
Speaker 3 (40:36):
Well, we don't know. We haven't listened to her comedy.
Speaker 2 (40:39):
She might be.
Speaker 5 (40:41):
I hate you, Michael. I hate you so much. Cars
is coming back into theaters on September 4th as they're
celebrating their 20th anniversary. They've got a whole bunch going
on with this celebration, including obviously the special screenings. Formula
One and NASCAR activations are going to be in the theaters.
(41:01):
Merchandise of all sizes for the Cars exhibit that's going
to be floating around. And if you forget, there it is.
Speaker 2 (41:08):
Thank you.
Speaker 5 (41:10):
And then finally, before we do the giveaway, there is
a new FDA blood test that helps identify Alzheimer's disease.
Speaker 2 (41:20):
I like that.
Speaker 5 (41:20):
You better believe I'm signing up for this Once I get.
Speaker 3 (41:24):
To that point in my life. I was going to
sign up, but I forgot.
Speaker 7 (41:27):
Wow.
Speaker 5 (41:27):
We'll get that for you.
Speaker 4 (41:27):
Brutal.
Speaker 2 (41:28):
All right.
Speaker 5 (41:29):
Let's get somebody to spin this wheel of rock.
Speaker 2 (41:31):
Rock 95.5.
Speaker 5 (41:32):
Who are we speaking with?
Speaker 2 (41:35):
Kristen.
Speaker 5 (41:36):
Kristen. Live on with the morning mosh pit today. How
are you doing?
Speaker 2 (41:41):
I'm good.
Speaker 6 (41:42):
How are you?
Speaker 5 (41:43):
We're doing fantastic.
Speaker 3 (41:44):
Better now that you're here.
Speaker 5 (41:45):
Ready to spin this wheel of rock. Your options today, stained,
breaking Benjamin and Rob Zombie. Let's see where this lands today.
Going to give.
Speaker 2 (41:57):
Us a little quick spin because it's a short wheel.
Speaker 4 (42:00):
All right.
Speaker 5 (42:04):
I like this a lot Breaking Benjamin along with Chevelle,
Star Set and Kami Kehoe over at Credit Union 1
Amphitheater all in Tenley Park September 18th Kristen this is
a fantastic show you just won who do you plan
on taking with you to this one possibly my daughter
(42:26):
okay shout out your daughter what's her name.
Speaker 3 (42:29):
Madeline.
Speaker 4 (42:30):
Madeline?
Speaker 2 (42:30):
Madeline. This is a concert you absolutely want to go to.
Speaker 3 (42:35):
Badass mommy-daughter date.
Speaker 5 (42:36):
Oh, my gosh.
Speaker 2 (42:37):
That's dope.
Speaker 5 (42:38):
It is the coolest kid at school the next day
for sure.
Speaker 2 (42:41):
Her first concert was Foo Fighters just a couple weeks ago.
Speaker 4 (42:45):
Oh, yeah. Nice.
Speaker 2 (42:46):
It'll be a good one to add to her list.
I like that a lot.
Speaker 5 (42:49):
How old is she?
Speaker 2 (42:51):
She is almost 17. Oh, man.
Speaker 3 (42:55):
She's cool as hell.
Speaker 5 (42:55):
Yeah, I was going to say cool. 17-year-old around here.
Speaker 2 (42:58):
Well, Kristen, congratulations. You got the tickets there.
Speaker 5 (43:02):
And for everybody else, you know what to do. Head
on over to Ticketmaster to get those tickets. All thanks
to our friends at Live Nation.
Speaker 2 (43:08):
And you guys know what's next? What?
Speaker 5 (43:11):
95 minutes commercial free on Rock 95.5.
Speaker 4 (43:13):
Wow.
Speaker 2 (43:15):
Ah, you remember the video where they were running around naked?
I do. Yeah, that was a good one.
Speaker 5 (43:18):
Hey, they had socks on.
Speaker 2 (43:19):
That's true.
Speaker 3 (43:20):
Strategically placed socks.
Speaker 2 (43:21):
Blink-182 on Rock 95.5. Talk about white socks. Hago's Rock Station.
Speaker 5 (43:26):
Clean socks.
Speaker 2 (43:28):
It's time for Rock News. It's bye for now. Revered
drummer Chris Slade of ACDC announces retirement. His 79-year-old Slade's
video he posted to the Facebook page said this, quote,
I'm near enough 80 years old. I've been drumming professionally
(43:49):
since I was 16 with Tom Jones. I've had good
innings and bad innings.
Speaker 5 (43:54):
Me too.
Speaker 2 (43:55):
Thank you for all coming to the shows. I'd like
to thank it's a little choppy here. I'd like to
thank the band also and a lot of you for
coming to the shows and having a good time. We
know you have because you told us you have, which
was great. Not retiring, just taking a break. Does that
speak to text?
Speaker 3 (44:13):
So he isn't retiring?
Speaker 2 (44:15):
No, I think he did a video, and this is
a transcription of the video, so it's a little hard.
Speaker 5 (44:20):
Okay.
Speaker 2 (44:21):
But he also mentioned that he had a stroke seven
years ago, and that was kind of the start of
his downfall there. Now I feel terrible. It's been like
70 years drumming? I bet arthritis, like your hands, your fingers.
Speaker 5 (44:34):
I think if you keep it up, it fights off
the arthritis. As long as you're doing it regularly, it's
not a problem.
Speaker 3 (44:41):
So he is or is not retiring?
Speaker 5 (44:44):
Jesus Maria. Never mind.
Speaker 2 (44:47):
The headline calls it a retirement, but he says basically
he's taking a break for now.
Speaker 3 (44:51):
So he's going on vacation.
Speaker 2 (44:52):
You could say that.
Speaker 5 (44:53):
Hey, we've seen this before. Kisses retired or unbanded like
8 million times.
Speaker 4 (44:58):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (44:58):
I think sometimes, too, you could think you're retiring, but
then suddenly feel a little better and head back out.
Just step away. It's fine.
Speaker 5 (45:04):
And, you know, sometimes you don't got to make a
big announcement about it.
Speaker 3 (45:07):
And then you wear out again. You get retired.
Speaker 2 (45:10):
Speaking of stepping away. Thank you. Brett Michaels announces the
tour cancellation as he is now recovering from surgery. Maria,
one of your favorite actors.
Speaker 4 (45:18):
No.
Speaker 3 (45:18):
Singers in the next season of rock of love.
Speaker 2 (45:22):
Give him credit for acting uh in july the poison well.
Speaker 3 (45:26):
He acted like he might talk to those girls.
Speaker 2 (45:30):
Brett michaels uh canceled uh the rest of his tour
in july poison front man performed three shows while dealing
with what he described as intense pain after the third
show the pain became so unbearable that they rushed him
to the hospital he underwent emergency surgery to remove an
obstructing kidney stone, and it was so bad he had
to have a urethral stent placed.
Speaker 5 (45:50):
Oh, my God.
Speaker 3 (45:50):
Well, it's like they say, every kidney has its stone.
Speaker 2 (45:53):
Well, that's actually really good, Mark.
Speaker 3 (45:54):
Thank you.
Speaker 2 (45:56):
Michaels is returning to the stage this month. Sorry, he
returned to the stage this month, but following a concert
on Friday, it became clear he needed way more time
to recover. Out there trying to make that money, but yeah.
Tour canceled. Brett Michaels taking a break. Got kidney stones.
Speaker 3 (46:10):
I'll take care of them.
Speaker 2 (46:10):
For all the rock news and the concert calendar, just
head over to rock955. com!
Speaker 1 (46:15):
Brooms spill while they called off their wedding.
Speaker 2 (46:20):
Uh-oh.
Speaker 1 (46:21):
This morning, Mosh Pit on Rock 95.5, not hearing those
bells today.
Speaker 3 (46:26):
This guy.
Speaker 1 (46:29):
Says, I'm a groom who called off the marriage. The
bride told me three things the day of our marriage. One,
she wanted a limo. Two, she didn't want to have
sex with one person the rest of her life. And three,
she thought she might be a lesbian.
Speaker 5 (46:47):
I'd say goodbye to.
Speaker 2 (46:48):
Yeah, that's a three strikes you're out. Although the limo, whatever.
How unclassy are you if you get a limo these days?
Nobody classy uses limos anymore.
Speaker 3 (46:58):
Yeah, but as cool kids do.
Speaker 2 (47:00):
No, no.
Speaker 3 (47:01):
Now, since it's so lame, it's become cool again.
Speaker 2 (47:04):
Well, it's only people who don't want to have sex
with one person for the rest of their life. So
you've got to have a big car.
Speaker 3 (47:08):
Talk about a stretch limo.
Speaker 5 (47:10):
Apparently she wants a lot of women as well.
Speaker 2 (47:12):
That's what I'm saying. Where's the limo? Take back everything
I said about limos. I'm in.
Speaker 1 (47:17):
I realized that she was more in love with getting
married than she was with me. I was her avenue
to marriage and she felt that I'd be a loyal
husband and good father, but she didn't care about being
more than a friend.
Speaker 5 (47:27):
Oh, damn.
Speaker 3 (47:28):
I feel that one pretty hard.
Speaker 4 (47:30):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (47:30):
That sucks. If you're planning on marrying someone and you
find this out like last minute, I mean, I guess
better last minute.
Speaker 4 (47:36):
Yeah.
Speaker 5 (47:37):
I'd rather. Yeah.
Speaker 2 (47:38):
Or you're just someone's like vehicle to get married.
Speaker 5 (47:41):
I feel like a lot of people look at marriage
as a check box that they have to clear to
get to adulthood. You really don't.
Speaker 1 (47:48):
I don't think most people, at least in their twenties,
which I would make the argument is when most people
are getting married, don't have the emotional maturity to know
the difference between that man would be a good husband
and that man would be a partner for me.
Speaker 3 (48:00):
I think it's hard to tell the difference.
Speaker 2 (48:02):
Yep. I agree.
Speaker 1 (48:03):
It's so hard to find someone that you would even
think would be a good husband. So when you do
find that, then you're like, oh, you're my person. But
it's like, no, he can be a good husband.
Speaker 4 (48:10):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (48:10):
That doesn't make him your person.
Speaker 5 (48:12):
Interesting. There you go.
Speaker 1 (48:14):
We were together for seven years and we're getting married
in a few months. We'd already bought a house and
started tying our lives together. She was emotionally distant for
some time, but I ignored it like a fool in love. Eventually,
I noticed that she was spending significant time chatting with
the guy she'd met on World of Warcraft.
Speaker 4 (48:29):
Nice.
Speaker 5 (48:29):
Oh, boy.
Speaker 3 (48:30):
World of Warcraft.
Speaker 1 (48:32):
She was also taking phone calls from a friend in private.
I called her on it, and our wedding was called
off the next day.
Speaker 5 (48:38):
Ah, look at wow. Ruining weddings.
Speaker 2 (48:42):
Yeah.
Speaker 5 (48:43):
Wow. I almost didn't get.
Speaker 2 (48:45):
Through that one.
Speaker 4 (48:45):
No, no.
Speaker 2 (48:46):
Tongue tear. Tongue tear.
Speaker 5 (48:47):
Oh, boy. Maria, keep going.
Speaker 2 (48:50):
Tongue twister.
Speaker 4 (48:51):
Okay.
Speaker 1 (48:52):
A friend of mine attended a wedding where the groom
waited till his fiance arrived at the altar, then pulled
a huge red fabric letter A out of his pocket,
bent it to the front of her dress, and walked
out of the church without a word.
Speaker 5 (49:04):
Caught cheating, I assume.
Speaker 3 (49:05):
Yeah, but also.
Speaker 2 (49:06):
What's an A? What does that mean?
Speaker 3 (49:08):
So it's from the scarlet letter.
Speaker 2 (49:09):
Yeah, I don't know that.
Speaker 5 (49:10):
Adultery.
Speaker 3 (49:10):
A is for adultery.
Speaker 5 (49:11):
Ooh.
Speaker 2 (49:12):
I mean, it depends on what happened, because if he's
that mad, it could she didn't hit him you're gonna
try well i just mean you're gonna try to pin
something to the front of a bride's dress i'd imagine
you might get popped she probably didn't know what was happening.
Speaker 5 (49:25):
Right but it had to be bad if he went
that grand for it.
Speaker 1 (49:28):
Yeah or he's petty which you have a right to
be but like you know an old friend of mine
called off his wedding because he found out she'd slept
with some dude at her bachelorette party the weekend before
jeez he waited until the day of the wedding to
call it off because he wanted her to have to
explain it to her family most of whom had flown
into town for the.
Speaker 5 (49:47):
Wedding that's perfect petty right there yeah.
Speaker 1 (49:52):
That's what I got have you guys ever seen anyone
call off a wedding no no no.
Speaker 3 (49:59):
I called nine off, but it was because of COVID.
And then we got divorced later anyway, so.
Speaker 2 (50:04):
LOL. It's a win for everybody.
Speaker 4 (50:10):
844-955-9550.
Speaker 5 (50:10):
If you've got any stories you want to share about
calling off a wedding, let us know. We want to
read them in text time coming up in about 30
minutes here on Rock 95.5.
Speaker 2 (50:23):
Now, here's a bit only plug with Maris.
Speaker 5 (50:30):
Plug it.
Speaker 4 (50:31):
844-955-9550.
Speaker 5 (50:32):
Michael, your finger went so far into your mouth on
that one. A little too far on that one. Yeah,
it did.
Speaker 3 (50:37):
Hey, let me try.
Speaker 2 (50:38):
No. You keep your little fingers over there. They're not
that little.
Speaker 5 (50:42):
Kill you.
Speaker 2 (50:43):
Join us for Pit Happens.
Speaker 5 (50:45):
We're going to put you in a pitchuation, and your
goal is not to get kicked out, tossed out, thrown out,
or bounced out by security. And we got Black Label
Society tickets for you to win. They're going to be
in town on September 12th over at Aragon Ballroom, and
we want you to be there. So join us right now, 844-955-9550.
Be caller 10. Michael, what's that number? Well, Papa Pumpkin,
(51:07):
that's 844-955-95. We're going to the pumpkin patch.
Speaker 4 (51:09):
Oh, boy.
Speaker 5 (51:13):
I hate him so much today. This is a joke
that started on our YouTube chat as we are streaming.
Speaker 2 (51:20):
Maris hates pumpkin spice lattes. They're out today.
Speaker 5 (51:24):
As you should.
Speaker 2 (51:24):
So he's been transformed into Papa Pumpkin.
Speaker 5 (51:29):
We are the Morning Mosh Pit and we're welcoming in
Zach from Evergreen Park. How are you doing, my man?
Speaker 4 (51:37):
I'm doing just as good as anybody can be.
Speaker 5 (51:39):
Okay, that sounded a little sarcastic. What's going on, Zach?
Speaker 2 (51:43):
You got 30 seconds.
Speaker 6 (51:45):
Just in the hospital currently because of something happening with
my wife, but I'm hoping that I can have some
fun and have a good time.
Speaker 5 (51:51):
Well, you came to the right spot, hoping everything goes well,
but let's distract you for just a second with Pit Happens.
We're going to put you in a pituation, and your
goal is not to get kicked out, tossed out, thrown out,
or bounced out by security and Michael.
Speaker 4 (52:04):
Yes, sir.
Speaker 5 (52:05):
I've never been more terrified to have you as pit
master today.
Speaker 2 (52:08):
A little back story this morning. It is the pumpkin
spice latte day, and we are now streaming on YouTube,
and there becomes jokes that come out of that. Maris
hates everything to do with pumpkin spice lattes.
Speaker 5 (52:18):
Damn straight.
Speaker 2 (52:19):
So now everybody is memeing him, making pictures of him
as the Big Papa Pumpkin. Big Papa Pumpkin.
Speaker 3 (52:26):
Are those fake?
Speaker 2 (52:28):
We're going to head out. You can see all these
on the Instagram, by the way, at Morning Mosh Pit.
We're going to head out to Big Papa Pumpkin's patch today.
Speaker 3 (52:34):
By the way, Maris, better than any lingerie.
Speaker 2 (52:38):
You could be wearing. You could get pumpkins out at
the pumpkin patch. They have a haunted hayride, and that's
where we're headed today.
Speaker 3 (52:44):
Call me Peter.
Speaker 2 (52:45):
Haunted hayride. We all climb on, and we're taken off
down the trail. There's people flying out of the woods,
scaring us. One person in particular, though, comes flying out
of the woods, kind of trips and puts his fist
right into Miss Palmer's face. Oh, no. Oh, absolutely. Now,
this is a serious problem. Maris stands up. I stand up.
(53:05):
You stand up. What are you doing to get this
situation resolved as the tractor slowly comes to a stop,
and you see the driver getting off? I would say.
Speaker 6 (53:17):
put some space between Ms. Palmer and the person who
jumped out of the truck and figure out if everything
was okay and then continue on with the ride.
Speaker 2 (53:26):
Pull Maria off of him.
Speaker 3 (53:27):
Space to keep him safe.
Speaker 2 (53:29):
She rolls the dice.
Speaker 3 (53:30):
That's a five, baby.
Speaker 2 (53:31):
Oh, five is good.
Speaker 5 (53:32):
Six-sided?
Speaker 4 (53:34):
Today?
Speaker 2 (53:34):
Six-sided dice? Six-sided. Oh, so you're great. That worked out great.
Got a little space in between there. The old codger
that's getting off his tractor says, everything looks all right
back there. You push the guy into the woods, jump
back on, and we're out. Codger's a great word.
Speaker 5 (53:48):
Codger's an old word.
Speaker 7 (53:49):
I know.
Speaker 5 (53:49):
Just like my grandpa. But Zach, I'm happy to distract
you for a little bit. You're going to see Black
Label Society, my man. They're going to be over at
Aragon Ballroom. Who do you plan on taking with you
to this one?
Speaker 6 (54:02):
Well, obviously, since I'm here, I'm taking my wife. Okay, cool.
Speaker 3 (54:06):
Glad you and your wife are on good terms. I
was worried about hospital stay.
Speaker 5 (54:10):
But more specifically, shout out your wife really quick for us.
Speaker 6 (54:14):
Her name is Ellie. She is the love of my life.
And honestly, she has helped me with so much. And
I am happy that I'm able to do this little
thing for her since we are both fans of the
type of music.
Speaker 4 (54:26):
Wow.
Speaker 2 (54:26):
Maria, there's still real relationships out there.
Speaker 3 (54:28):
I'm so happy for you.
Speaker 5 (54:30):
That's real love.
Speaker 4 (54:30):
You're strong, man.
Speaker 2 (54:32):
How many years?
Speaker 6 (54:34):
About five or so. So much.
Speaker 1 (54:35):
Nice. Nice.
Speaker 5 (54:36):
Well done.
Speaker 2 (54:37):
What's the secret? Tell us a secret for longevity in relationship.
Speaker 5 (54:40):
These two need help.
Speaker 6 (54:42):
I mean, there's the old saying that goes, happy wife,
happy life, right?
Speaker 3 (54:45):
I agree.
Speaker 5 (54:45):
I hate that saying.
Speaker 3 (54:46):
I'm going to go take a nap on some train tracks,
but this has been fun.
Speaker 5 (54:50):
Hey, Zach, thanks for joining us today. We appreciate you
so much. Also, for everybody else, head on over to Ticketmaster.com.
Get your tickets today. Big thanks going out to our
friends at Live Nation. What do we got next here? Oh,
text time.
Speaker 2 (55:05):
Text time.
Speaker 3 (55:05):
We have so many, too. 844-955-9550 if you have any
last minute ones you want to get in. But it's
filled up. That makes one of us.
Speaker 2 (55:18):
Rock 95.5 Chicago's Rock Station. The morning mosh pit is on.
And every day at the end of the show, we
love to hear from you. It's text time. Last minute
text in 844-955-9550. We were talking about a story earlier
that Americans are twice as likely to feel curious versus
fearful about the confirmed existence of aliens. And we got
(55:42):
our boy Johnny Bullets checking in from Seattle. He says,
I believe that there's definitely intelligent life outside of the Earth.
There's no way there's not. Telescopes have proven how vast...
The universe is.
Speaker 3 (55:52):
Well, there's definitely not intelligent life on Earth.
Speaker 2 (55:54):
That's true.
Speaker 3 (55:54):
It's got to be out there.
Speaker 2 (55:56):
And the U.S. government is holding, like, aliens, and we
have spaceships and all kinds of stuff. I've seen it. Yeah,
I've seen Men in Black.
Speaker 3 (56:02):
We've all seen it.
Speaker 1 (56:04):
614, Matt, my Australian boyfriend number one of three, reminder.
I can't wait to see Coyote vs.
Speaker 3 (56:10):
Acme. I just love the sound effects. The token thwack.
Speaker 1 (56:14):
Sound effect is iconic and would make real-life injuries more
pleasant if it was a thing.
Speaker 5 (56:19):
From 353, working night shifts has made my days all
blend one to another. No difference between Monday or Thursday
or Sunday. But now my days are differentiated by one
simple question. Is morning mosh pit on?
Speaker 2 (56:35):
If yes, day is good. If not, screw it. hell

Speaker 3 (57:06):
Yeah, they're just raising.
Speaker 2 (57:07):
I can't read.
Speaker 1 (57:10):
814 says Crock-Pot Chili is love.
Speaker 3 (57:12):
Crock-Pot Chili is life.
Speaker 2 (57:14):
Big argument today on the show.
Speaker 5 (57:17):
I've never had chili at a tailgate. I don't want
to have chili at a tailgate unless it is delicious.
Speaker 2 (57:25):
I chili'd a NASCAR tailgate.
Speaker 5 (57:27):
But I don't think that's the same. Oh, that sounds
hot and sweaty.
Speaker 2 (57:29):
No, it was good still. Barbecue and chili dogs.
Speaker 5 (57:33):
There is a temperature for a chili for me.
Speaker 2 (57:35):
That's true. That's a good point.
Speaker 3 (57:36):
Got to be a little chili.
Speaker 2 (57:38):
Uh-huh. 3-1-2.
Speaker 5 (57:40):
I invoke the hot girl tax at Tailgate. Damn straight.
Everyone wants to feed the hot girl. Chili included. Pumpkin King.
Speaker 4 (57:49):
You know.
Speaker 1 (57:49):
That's Papa Pumpkin to you.
Speaker 5 (57:53):
I like to actually hand out brats and hot dogs
and burgers to the hot girls. But, you know, that's
just me.
Speaker 2 (58:00):
It is Pumpkin Spice Day, and Maris has had a
little negativity about it, so our entire YouTube chat has
built out an entire character of him, Papa Pumpkin. Papa.
If you get on our Instagram, you can see all
the memes. Let's see here. From the 925 burgers, hot dogs, chili.
But the catch is get small sourdough loaves and carve
it out for the bowl. Then clean up is easy.
Speaker 3 (58:22):
Let's go.
Speaker 2 (58:23):
That sounds really good. I kind of want chili now
for lunch.
Speaker 1 (58:25):
269 says, I'm Team Maris, a tailgate.
Speaker 3 (58:31):
It is Booze, Burgers, and Wieners.
Speaker 7 (58:33):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (58:33):
And then they said Team Marist was hard to even type.
Speaker 2 (58:38):
Hey, you're here now.
Speaker 5 (58:39):
I got to do.
Speaker 2 (58:41):
6-3-0.
Speaker 5 (58:43):
Yes, still brings chili. Let me ask this. How many
90-degree games have there been in the history of Chicago football?
So we have football in September, and it's still pretty hot.
Speaker 2 (58:56):
It's not 90 in September, but it's not 90. It's
hot out.
Speaker 3 (58:58):
What are you talking about?
Speaker 2 (59:01):
It's September.
Speaker 5 (59:01):
That was the last one. September. Thanks for getting your
text in, as always. Michael, what's that number?
Speaker 2 (59:09):
844-955-9550.
Speaker 5 (59:09):
That's half a dollar.
Speaker 2 (59:10):
Are you going to be my girl? No. You keep asking.
Speaker 1 (59:11):
Okay.
Speaker 3 (59:22):
I keep hoping.
Speaker 5 (59:24):
She keeps getting turned on.
Speaker 1 (59:26):
Story of my goddamn life. It's the Morning Mosh Pit
on Rock 95.5. My name's Maria Palmer.
Speaker 5 (59:31):
I'm Maris. I'm Michael.
Speaker 3 (59:33):
Another lovely day spent with you.
Speaker 5 (59:34):
We did.
Speaker 3 (59:35):
I've got to fix the bear suit for tomorrow.
Speaker 5 (59:37):
That might be a priority.
Speaker 1 (59:39):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (59:39):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (59:40):
I'll go buy batteries.
Speaker 2 (59:41):
What's the problem with it? It's not deflating. Or inflating,
excuse me.
Speaker 3 (59:44):
It is deflating.
Speaker 2 (59:45):
Last time you did your video, you were going flat
the whole time.
Speaker 1 (59:48):
I am so sick of inflation ruining my life.
Speaker 2 (59:51):
Blue chew.
Speaker 5 (59:53):
There wasn't enough of.
Speaker 2 (59:55):
It.
Speaker 3 (59:56):
Can't have enough bear.
Speaker 5 (59:56):
I think we all learned something today.
Speaker 2 (59:58):
Yes, we learned a lot of things.
Speaker 3 (01:00:00):
To have chili at a tailgate.
Speaker 5 (01:00:01):
We got to go to a tailgate.
Speaker 2 (01:00:02):
I don't know if I still am undecided on the
chili at a tailgate. I don't think it's wrong, but
I don't think it's necessarily right. It is. It's right.
But see, tailgates get a little crazy sometimes. And if
you've got a crock pot full of chili or something,
somebody knocks that thing over, third degree burns.
Speaker 3 (01:00:19):
How about the grill?
Speaker 5 (01:00:21):
It's got three feet.
Speaker 2 (01:00:22):
It's got more weight on it. It's got three feet.
It's really tripping and knocking over a grill.
Speaker 3 (01:00:26):
If you can handle the grill, you can handle the
crock pot.
Speaker 4 (01:00:28):
Mm-hmm.
Speaker 5 (01:00:33):
I like everything off the grill. This is an ongoing
fight here. You can put the pot on the grill
and make your chili. I do like pot at a tailgate.
Speaker 3 (01:00:44):
Oh, well, that's the thing.
Speaker 1 (01:00:46):
I feel bad for people in Indiana that can't have
their pot at the tailgate even though they do anyway.
Speaker 5 (01:00:51):
I was going to say it's going to happen. In general,
this has been a train wreck. We thank you for
joining us for it. You keep coming back to watch
the chaos or hear the chaos.
Speaker 3 (01:01:04):
It's a bad car accident.
Speaker 5 (01:01:05):
Whatever you want to do with the chaos. We have
a professional next. His name is Walt.
Speaker 2 (01:01:09):
Thank goodness.
Speaker 5 (01:01:10):
And he does this so much better than the rest
of us. We've got to air out the studio. What
did you do?
Speaker 2 (01:01:14):
It's just a general stink. I didn't even stink this morning.
General stink. Reporting for duty.
Speaker 5 (01:01:22):
We might be back tomorrow.
Speaker 7 (01:01:24):
Oh, that worked out great.
Speaker 2 (01:01:25):
Oh, duty.
