Speaker 1 (00:00):
Time to go to the Hamilton's hotline and continue our
coverage of high school football. We're going over to the
Least Got Academy. First off, Hamilton's has two locations to
serve you. There's a Hamilton's on Magnolia and a Hamilton's
on ogal Tree. He is three and oh and he's
the head coach of the Least Got Warriors, coming off
of victory last night. And Childersburg Buster Daniels, Good morning, Coach.

Speaker 2 (00:21):
Good morning d Mark, Morning Jeff, And first off, happy birthday,
old part.

Speaker 1 (00:28):
You know what he all week?

Speaker 3 (00:32):
He said nothing about it.

Speaker 1 (00:33):
He said nothing about it this morning. He didn't mention
a crack in the first hour. And I was like,
I'm good, I'm gonna get out of here. Thanks coach.
I appreciate that I picked up. Yeah, I wasn't able to,
uh let me tee if it was a unique event
last night, so I had to go pick No, I
didn't have to. I went and picked up Madison, Ann
and John Mark at the airport in Atlanta. And so
it was in the middle of your game. So I

(00:54):
was in this throng of traffic in the airport waiting,
so flipped over on the NFH just app and it
had you down fifty three to what I say, fifty something?
I went, Lord and so yeah, I called up stand.
I said, hey, are we getting blown out on the
and he said, man, we're in So anyway, I found

(01:15):
out you guys were rolling right along coach. So congrats
and thanks for the birthday wishes. Let's talk about the game.

Speaker 4 (01:20):
Tell me about it.

Speaker 1 (01:20):
I know nothing. Who played?

Speaker 2 (01:21):
Well, well, yeah, it's again it's one of those games
where d Moore we we got, we got a good win.
We are still not playing at least got football in
my eyes. We played extremely, extremely hard, just like we
do every every week. But we're not playing smart football,
and we're not taking care of the ball. You know,

(01:42):
the last two games we've had six turnovers at two
more last night, but in the last two years we
had three total over two years.

Speaker 1 (01:51):
Wow.

Speaker 4 (01:51):
So it's just it's just.

Speaker 2 (01:53):
Very uncharacteristic of us as a team to turn the
ball over. We've got to clean that up.

Speaker 4 (01:59):
We still haveing a lot of penalties we got.

Speaker 2 (02:01):
To clean up. Uh, you know, and I'm the majority
of them were there. I don't think something up wherever.

Speaker 4 (02:05):
But that's fine. We gotta we gotta live through that.

Speaker 2 (02:08):
But we just got to clean our game up and.

Speaker 4 (02:11):
Do things the way we're supposed to do it. You know.

Speaker 2 (02:14):
I actually I asked the guys last night in the
huddle last we got done.

Speaker 4 (02:16):
I mean, you know, if.

Speaker 2 (02:18):
We do things the right way, how good can we be?

Speaker 4 (02:22):
That's my question to them.

Speaker 2 (02:24):
How good can we be if we do things the
right way?

Speaker 4 (02:26):
So, you know, we we got to fix us. It
was a good night, good trip. You know.

Speaker 2 (02:32):
We we we won the ball game again. It was
a sloppy game on our side, but a win is
a win. And I'm excited about being one to know
in the region because that's where it starts when you
talk about playoffs. Proud of my kids because I got again.
I said, they played.

Speaker 4 (02:44):
Really hard and uh and they did, so I'm proud
of that part.

Speaker 1 (02:47):
All right, coach, sounds like it three and oh want
to know in the region? Tell me tell me some
give me some names, who scored, who played well? Kind
of break down the offense and defense for me. Tell
me some guys' names.

Speaker 4 (02:58):
Well, did you put me on the spot because.

Speaker 2 (03:01):
We ain't had time to do general coach, Yeah, I know,
banks Stam scored.

Speaker 4 (03:07):
I think Tyler had one for sure.

Speaker 2 (03:11):
Gosh, uh thank Pelser had one. I just I just
cannot tell you who we went done stats and all yet,
but again, our defense played extremely well. We got some
guys banged up. Uh, Barrett Cook, it went out last
night with a broken collar ball, so he's gonna be
down a few weeks now. Who is this, coach, Barret Cook?

Speaker 4 (03:31):
You know that's that's my punter and uh.

Speaker 1 (03:34):
You know our why that's the young man that caught
that pass over there, that's he plays baseball.

Speaker 4 (03:40):
Right, Yeah, that's Coach Cook's done.

Speaker 1 (03:42):
Okay, he's a good player. Coach, he's a good.

Speaker 4 (03:44):
Player, good player, sure is, sure he is.

Speaker 2 (03:46):
And and I didn't even see when it happened, but
you know, he broke his collar bone. Doggers saying it's
you know, it's a clean break. But don't think he's
got to have surgery right now. So he's gonna be
down three or four weeks or you know, getting back
Susie can. But had a couple of other guys, you know,
Bangs and Brews normal played.

Speaker 4 (04:03):
I mean that was a pretty physical team.

Speaker 2 (04:05):
It's good looking football team, you know, on the hoof,
But so you know, we just had those couple of
guys get banged up, but the defense played well. Again,
we had had the miss tackles, you know, just stuff
that we can.

Speaker 4 (04:17):
Work on ourselves.

Speaker 2 (04:20):
But but but like I said, kids played hard and
I was proud of that.

Speaker 1 (04:23):
All right, and good deal Coach Buster Danny with us.
This team is three and oh coming off a Thursday
night win. I guess moving that game up didn't bother
you much, did he, coach or your team?

Speaker 4 (04:33):
No? Not really, And yeah, thinking helped both teams.

Speaker 2 (04:35):
You know, we both for you know, we talked about
it and we're looking at it from an injury standpoint,
and we didn't take a chance get anybody hurt. But
don't know that, I mean, we don't. We'll we'll play
on Tuesday. It doesn't matter to us. Our kids just
want to play. They don't like to beat on each
of us. So moving it up helped us, and we
beat the rain than goodness, and it was it was
a really good night.

Speaker 1 (04:57):
Okay, all right, let's talk about moving forward. Coach, you know,
how about that three and oh. Want to know in
the region, Jeff, you brought it up all.

Speaker 3 (05:03):
Ago next Friday night, what a night teams will be
facing off of Judge Scott Bield the Beauty Bombcasts.

Speaker 2 (05:10):
Three and oh yeah, yeah, I'm looking forward to it.
I know, I know a lot of those coaches down there.
You know we've been friends.

Speaker 4 (05:17):
Awhile, Oh yeah, they do a great job.

Speaker 2 (05:19):
Coach Johnson, Coach Pepper and those guys.

Speaker 4 (05:21):
Man, they they they have done a good job at
Bulah for a long time.

Speaker 2 (05:26):
And uh looking forward to It's another close games, the
region game.

Speaker 4 (05:30):
You know.

Speaker 2 (05:31):
We I think we have a little chirping back and
forth going on some some social media stuff, which is
always good if you do it the right way.

Speaker 4 (05:38):
But looking forward to it.

Speaker 2 (05:39):
I you know, I never played Beulah and uh so
I'm looking forward to that game. So we gotta get
our guys ready. It's like I said, we got to
clean our side up and uh be ready to play them.
They've got a couple of athletes have not seen him yet,
heard about a quarterback. Uh and maybe one other player.
Two other players are a good athlete. But you know,
we'll get on the film We're gonna exchange today. We're

(06:00):
gonna get on films and start working today and uh
get prepared.

Speaker 4 (06:04):
For the guys.

Speaker 2 (06:05):
So I mean, I'm looking forward to that game next
week and be back at just gott Field.

Speaker 1 (06:08):
I was gonna say, Coach, only one home game so
far for you guys, so I know it'll be good
for you to get your team back at the Friendly
Confines next Friday. So what do you do today with
your team? Coach, you give him to get him the
afternoon off.

Speaker 2 (06:21):
Well, uh, somewhat, we're gonna work out during the static period.

Speaker 4 (06:24):
You know, we've been a short week.

Speaker 2 (06:26):
Uh you know, we missed one of our days of lifting,
but uh, we're gonna.

Speaker 4 (06:30):
Get that in a day. And I'll give them the
afternoon off and.

Speaker 2 (06:32):
The coaches will work and start film prep for for
Beulah and uh, you know, kind of looking last night's
game and and get it all straighted up and looked
at and then we'll move on. But uh, the kids
will be off in the afternoon. You know that'll be
kids a little bit, but coaches will work today and
we get our game plan ready to go.

Speaker 1 (06:49):
Now, look, I know you started. I know you've known
you a long time. I know how you started this conversation.
I certainly understand that. But coach, you you're you're sitting
here three or you got to be a little bit.
You got to be happy for your football team right now.

Speaker 4 (07:05):
Oh, no doubt, no doubt.

Speaker 2 (07:06):
Listen, we you know, coming into the AHSAA, you know,
little private schools, you know, coming out of Ais State,
we didn't have a we didn't have much chance at all.

Speaker 4 (07:15):
You know, that's just to talk.

Speaker 2 (07:16):
But people don't understand how my kids work, and uh, well,
how we prepare. And then at the end of the day.

Speaker 4 (07:22):
It's football.

Speaker 2 (07:23):
It's eleven guys on eleven guys, and uh you know,
the best team on Friday is gonna win no matter
who you play, where you play, anything like that. But
I'm extremely proud of our guys.

Speaker 4 (07:32):
Uh kind of.

Speaker 2 (07:33):
Making a little statement, you know that that we can
play this game and whatever league we're in. And uh so, yeah, yeah,
I'm extremely excited about being three and old. But you know,
you got to tell them one day at a time.
You can't worry about what's already happened. You know, we
got to get ready for the next game, which is
next Friday night.

Speaker 1 (07:48):
Yeah, we talked with Hayden uh yesterday, yesterday morning he
mentioned speed coach, and we couldn't get you hit. We
had him on for a minute, and he mentioned team speed.
There's been a difference. Uh, but I think your team's
getting adjusted to that. Would you agree or disagree?

Speaker 4 (08:04):
Well, yeah, we're adjusted. I mean you you can't. You
can't teach speed.

Speaker 2 (08:11):
It is. It is, And we knew you, Listen, we
knew going in that. Just I think every team we play,
they're gonna most they're gonna have kids are fashion than
we are.

Speaker 4 (08:18):
They're gonna have kids bigger than we are. They gets
stronger than we are. But but I've.

Speaker 2 (08:23):
Also told them that four or five guys, which most
teams will have, won't be the eleven if you play
together the team and do things you coach to do.
So that's the things we're working on and and trying
to fix. And and once we hone it in and
get everybody on the same page and and working the
same way, we're gonna be fine. But we just gotta
we just gotta be able to control the athletes that
we play.

Speaker 1 (08:42):
All right, good deal, Jeffrey Craig. Anything to coach, No,
I'm just proud of them.

Speaker 3 (08:47):
I bet we were listening best and I would listen
to the game three scores. I was watching the Braves
and watching the NFL listening to.

Speaker 1 (08:53):
I know City mentioned Braids, but I'm not. That's okay,
I'm messing with you.

Speaker 4 (09:00):
I ain't.

Speaker 2 (09:00):
No, no, listen, I love the Braid as much as what
much as Jeff does. But you know, I got something
a little more important right now.

Speaker 4 (09:08):
Yeah, I'm pulling. I'm pulling for them. You know, I
hope make the playoffs.

Speaker 2 (09:11):
They've had a tell a few injuries, but I'm still
pulling for him. I'm a Braid fan.

Speaker 4 (09:16):
But listen, I didn't know if they won a loss,
so I was listening to all all the way.

Speaker 1 (09:19):
You ain't to me either.

Speaker 3 (09:20):
That's the that's the beauty. Once you retire, you get
to do that.

Speaker 4 (09:23):
Coach.

Speaker 3 (09:24):
One day, you get to sit down and watch two
or three games and listen to two or three at
the same time.

Speaker 1 (09:28):
Let's use your app and go to different stations. There
you go.

Speaker 2 (09:31):
Well, I'm afraid I might be too old to do
anything by the time I get to retired.

Speaker 1 (09:35):
You just keep working, coach. Hey, I'm very proud of
you and your program. Coach. Good job, very good job.
You're doing good. Your kids are doing good. Keep up
the good work, all right.

Speaker 4 (09:43):
I appreciate.

Speaker 2 (09:44):
Hey, I got it. I got a great staff out
here with me. It's not my staff, that's how I
say it. But we got great coaches I here that
work out kids are hard, and love on them and
they do a great job.

Speaker 4 (09:53):
So I'm proud of them.

Speaker 1 (09:54):
All right, Buddy, enjoy your day, all right, thank you
very much for calling. All right, Bud, all right, thank you, sir,
coach the Warriors Buster Daniel on the head coach that
