kind of adopted Seattle as my team in the NFC.
So let's see if they can pull through for us.

Absolutely, Ian, I mean, here we go, man.

I mean it's been you know, twelve years, and I
made the proclamation on Wednesday that there will be a
parade in Pioneer Square and soho, and that the Vince
Lombardi Trophy is coming back to the Emerald City.
Speaker 2 (01:38):
What do you think.
Speaker 6 (01:40):
I think it'll happen. And I think it's going to
happen in a very appropriate way by us being the Patriots,
the ones we should have been last time. Oh my god,
it couldn't be any better than that. It's when it
became the Patriots that became the perfect scenario as a
Seahawks fan to at least wipe away some of that feeling.
Speaker 3 (01:57):
We have absolutely no doubt, Ian, I mean this week,
and you know what, it didn't get brought up as
much as I thought it would about not giving the
ball to mar Shawn Lynch the goal line.
Speaker 2 (02:09):
But what if that would have happened?

Huh, Well, we don't won the Super Bowl and the
team to stayed together for a while, and I think
that's that's that's the problem with it, and it most
I think Seahawk fans understand the pain we had to
go through, not just from losing, but watching the team
break up because of the internal you know, arguments of
that kind of stuff, you know, of the marsh on
the ball, and then it became the conspiracy theory all Pete.

Wanted Russell to win the MVP and you know, conversations
they should have never needed to happen, and it just
did a stain on what otherwise was an unbelievably good,
good team.

Yeah, and you know what those put a spin on it,
Sure put a spin on this.

So Mark and I got our revenge. We're first and
foremost Miami Hurricanes fans. So three years ago we had
a title stolen from us, yes and in some respects
against Ohio State, and we were yes, and we were
able to revenge that. You know, it hasn't been quite
as long about half that time. You know, maybe it's

time you guys revenge it. So all three of us
will will hopefully be very very happy come Sunday.

And and Lee and I Ian we were together in
his beautiful better half. Kim we were all together on
the field prior to the game, and you know, we
all know we were nine and a half ten.

And the thing that made me feel the most besides
the Kanti Scott picked six, was afterwards a friend of
mine who knows in Ohio state assistant football coach, said, Hey,
I didn't think that you guys would get beat on
both sides of the ball.

He said, bat we didn't get beat, we got dominated.
And when I.

Found and he screenshotted me that text, I said, Wow,
the you is back and listen, man, I'm here this week.

Michael Irvan was here this week.

I was talking to him about we should have won
in the National Championship, but we are back in Hey, listen, man,
let's let's see what Dari mensa.

We got a lot of time till then, but let's

We're gonna play her prop heavy this segment. Ian. Let's
start with you, all right, Okay, I'm gonna tell you
one I love.

I want to see what full time Fantasy things Kenneth
Walker player prop over two and a half receptions.
Speaker 7 (04:27):
I love it.
Speaker 6 (04:29):
You know, we we actually have him for three point
seven catches yep on the weekend, and and you know
they'd like to play a lot of his own defense
and when zone defense, we expect him to get over
that number. And that's one of the ones I was
going to point out to you. We like Kenneth Walker's
receptions on that one a lot better than anything else.

All right, Lee, let me ask you this. Oh, let's
let's let's look.

Let's look even further into that. How about Kenneth Walker.
I like over twenty three and a half receiving yards.
He could get that on one catch.

He to tackle and his little uh his.

Way to you know, wind his way down the field.

He can get a catch for twenty twenty five yards.
They were alone.
Speaker 4 (05:08):
So even though I like the over two and a half,
I actually like the over twenty three and a half
receiving yards maybe even better.

Yeah, that's interesting too, that could go I saw that. Uh,
what do you have the in right now at Sam
Darnald rushing yard total?
Speaker 2 (05:27):
What do you have that at and what side do
you come out with on that?
Speaker 6 (05:31):
Well, the interesting ones for us at quarterbacks, so we
have Donald pretty much right on. We have two carries
for five yards, you know, which is kind of right
on his number.
Speaker 4 (05:39):
I thought it would be higher.
Speaker 6 (05:40):
When it came out, right, two carries five yards. I
want to I want to make sure I get this
out as first quarterback rushing yards. You know, we have
Drake May six carries twenty four yards, who's over under
on the on the Super Bowl thirty seven and a half.
So we're actually pretty heavy on the under there. It's
one that really stuck out that I started, and so

I want to make sure I mentioned that one. Whereas
Donold is on, we have made quite a bit under
on the rushing total.
Speaker 3 (06:07):
That's crazy, all right, Ian, Let's keep it rolling. What
else sticks out to you and you just go with it.
But I'm gonna throw one at them JSN receiving yards.
Speaker 2 (06:17):
What do you think?
Speaker 6 (06:19):
Okay, so you know they've been pretty tired on JASN.
I mean their number is like our number. We have
them six for ninety and so we're we're pretty.
Speaker 7 (06:26):
Close to where where where that is.
Speaker 6 (06:28):
Where we think the big value on Jackson Smith and
Jigba is And it seems to happen every single week,
and I don't understand it is his touchdown number. He's
minus a dollar ten for a touchdown again this week.
Every single week of the season, he's either even money
plus one hundred minus a dollar ten. It's always really low.
So we think the best value on in Jigbe is
(06:48):
that is that touchdown. We have him scoring a touchdown
this week one hundred percent, and so I would play
that at minus a dollar ten.
Speaker 3 (06:56):
Okay, what else stands out to you on the Seahawks
side as potential plays.
Speaker 6 (07:01):
Yeah, the Seahawks side, we like Donald to throw two
touchdowns at minus a dollar twenty one. Good value there.
We have them for two and I'll tell you you know,
we were a real hesitant as you remember you called
me out on the interception last time and he was
the best number for no interceptions against the Rams, and
I was hesitant to say it, but we haven't for
no interceptions at plus one oh one. So we like
(07:24):
both those numbers on Donald. And as far as May,
you know his one interception is too expensive. It's a
it's minus a dollar forty five. We think he's definitely
gonna throw an interception, but minus a dollar forty five
is a little bit difficult. But with May two touchdowns,
a plus a buck twenty two two passing touchdowns. We
think that's a pretty reasonable number and a good value
at one twenty two. The big place for us on
(07:45):
May is the under on the rushing again, we have
him for thirty We have him for twenty four yards
over under is thirty seven and a half. Yeah, the Seahawks,
though the injugumate touchdown is a good one. We like
that at a dollar ten. And then look, we think
Cupp is going to get over two and a half
catches again, playing a decent amount of zone defense that
(08:05):
they do. We like Cup to get three catches. It
is minus a buck thirty five, but we like him
to get at least three catches on the day.
Speaker 3 (08:13):
Okay, Lee, I'm gonna get to this before and I'm
gonna come back to you Ian on other Patriot player props, Lee,
who do you like in terms of Super Bowl MVP
That something that stands out to you the most? I mean,
the obviously will always be the quarterback, but is there
somebody like a dark horse like a Rasid Shaheed or
someone of that ilk that you think Pop's Douglas by all,
(08:37):
the Patriots aren't gonna win, but regardless somebody out there
that you think you can get.
Speaker 2 (08:40):
Good value for.
Speaker 4 (08:42):
So I almost never play this proper. I'm gonna be honestly,
the only one I bet is Sam Darnold, and it's
just one of these things if you play too many props.
Speaker 5 (08:51):
I had a friend one time. I love to tell
the story. We go to Vegas. This is probably thirty
years ago.
Speaker 4 (08:57):
He had forty nine bets on props. It took him
literally almost two hours to greade everything, almost two hours,
and when he figured a lot, he was twenty five
and twenty four and he lost like six wagers, like
losing six units because all the juice just ate him alive.
Speaker 5 (09:18):
I don't know if you know this.
Speaker 4 (09:19):
He and here's how I know this.
Speaker 5 (09:21):
I'll tell the story.
Speaker 4 (09:21):
Also, do you know the first Super Bowl they attached
player props to?
Speaker 5 (09:26):
You probably do because you're so into it.
Speaker 6 (09:29):
I don't, Okay, I know the guy who did.
Speaker 4 (09:33):
I don't know who the year it was though, Okay,
So it was the Chicago Bears and New England Patriots
and it was the fresh It was the first Super
Bowl we score a touchdown and when he crashed you,
I think it was nine to one when he crashed.
Speaker 5 (09:48):
Through and scored.
Speaker 4 (09:48):
I was with all my dad's friends and we were
at the Super Bowl and we had come from from
Tahoe and to.
Speaker 5 (09:58):
See the wagers.
Speaker 4 (10:00):
People were betting it early and often at the Super Bowl,
I mean, and there were people literally who had no
stake in the game who went absolutely nuts. So that's
one of the reasons why I went absolutely nuts. Was
someone hit a long shot the fridge scoring a touchdown
against the Patriots.
Speaker 5 (10:19):
So just a little bit of history on player props.
Speaker 2 (10:22):
That's interesting.
Speaker 3 (10:23):
And you know what, unfortunately, much to the late great
Walter Payton's dismay, that Mike Dicka gave the ball to
refrigerator Perry instead of a guy who broke his back,
his legs and every other part of his anatomy to
that franchise for more than a decade going into that game.
(10:44):
And I don't blame I'm just gonna say this on
a side note because I went to school at Miami
with his son who I just ran into this week,
Jared Payton.
Speaker 2 (10:51):
I don't blame Walter Payton.
Speaker 3 (10:53):
Whatsoever for being pissed off and afterwards for Dicka at
first to double down on Oh, I didn't know it
meant that he realized, like, yeah, yeah, if you didn't know,
you knew, you knew, Mike, you knew. Uh So there's
that Ian Patriock player crops. What else stands out to you,
Ramandre Stevenson, Trayveon Henderson, anything else?
Speaker 6 (11:15):
Yeah, you know, we're actually a little bit better on Henderson.
We you know, Henderson's over under on rushing yards is
seventeen and a half. We have them for twenty six.
But the real value potentially could be Henderson with a touchdown.
We have twenty five percent touchdown at a plus four
seventy five. And going on with lishad Man, you're exactly
right with the transaction costs and all these props, and
so it's it's a lot of times a lot of
(11:35):
fun to play, you know, the ones that are long
shots it, you know, and play them for fun. Some
of the other ones like that you know that you
feel like really confident you put them in parlays and things.
Is great, but you know, if you're betting a ton
of parlare or a ton of straight bets on these things,
the transaction costs will get you. And and so you
really want to pick your spots. And I want to
reiterate that that's an important point you brought up, but anyway,
(11:58):
we'll get back. I we like to try on Henderson
in yards and we like him for a twenty five
percent touchdown at plus a four to seventy five. We
think that's pretty good. And I heard you mention Pop Douglass.
You know, here's the thing is, you know we have
Pop for two point four catches his over unders one
and a half. You know, I like pop bets when
the numbers one and a half and we have them
for two and a half, it means they're closer to
(12:19):
three than they are to two, and it's not difficult
to get two catches, especially if we think they're going
to be in a trailing position chasing from behind. So
I would point out a Pop Douglass over one and
a half catches is good, and that means I also
would play over his yards over under on yard at
just ten and a half, and we have them for
twenty four and a lot of times when these guys
(12:39):
are in that chase situation, you'll get these over one
and a half. You'll get that two catch or that
three catch. And so I really like that angle in
this one as well, and then the last one I'll
bring up on their side, the Patriots side is Hunter Henry.
We have Hunter Henry at fifty We don't have the
other receivers for very good games, but we do have
Hunter Henry at fifty one yards the over unders thirty nine.
(13:00):
We have him for a fifty percent touchdown at plus
two thirty. Again another kind of wrong shot touchdown at
plus two thirty, but we have him for a better
chance than the other guys digs with fifty percent touchdown
at a plus two to seventy number. But that's going
to be a more difficult threading for him than it
will be for Henry.
Speaker 2 (13:15):
Yeah, I was going to ask you about how.
Speaker 4 (13:16):
Much to bring up a player here for New England
like to get in.
Speaker 5 (13:20):
I like to get his thoughts on it. And it's
Stefan Diggs.
Speaker 4 (13:23):
I'm watching him, and you know, I use analytics a lot,
that's my background in finance, but also from playing. There's
something about it. I think he's lost at least a.
Speaker 2 (13:33):
Step, no doubt, no doubt.
Speaker 4 (13:36):
You know is over under is four and a half catches,
and I know he caught five and four in the
last two games. But the first game of the playoffs
was two, and some other games in the last half
some twos and threes. His only real big games this
year were nine catches for one thirty eight against Baltimore
and six for one on one against the Jets. I
(13:56):
mean two, I mean absolutely horrific secondaries, and he's going
to be facing one of the top secondaries plays a
lot more man demand than than some of these other
teams play, and without him getting a lot of separation.
You know, let's say, obviously if they are trailing, that
would help that number.
Speaker 5 (14:14):
To get over.
Speaker 4 (14:14):
But I have it, like I figured out three point
two catches, and I think he's certainly way on the
down side of his career. I wouldn't be shocked if
he only ends up with something like two catches for
the game.
Speaker 5 (14:26):
I just think four and a half is high.
Speaker 6 (14:29):
We have him for three point eight, I agree with
you. You know, we kind of round up to four, but
we have him for three point eight catches, and so
we're there with you. I think he's got tough sliding,
he's got some tough matchups with with Witherspoon, and I
think he lost the step the catches he's getting in
some of these other games or underneath stuff, and three
point eight catches for Stephan Diggs is a really low number.
(14:50):
So if you, if you know, if you're a Seahawks fan,
you want to and you run a bet of unders,
bet that may under and you can you can feel
comfortable in that digs at four and a half, we
have him three point eight.
Speaker 3 (14:59):
You know you guys, and I'm with you on the
may under rushing yards, Ian, because I'm telling you right
now this dark side number one ranked defense in the NFL.
You can ask Christian McCaffrey in the last month when
he faced his team, I don't think he had more
than thirty eight yards combined in two games and it
was like two point eight yards per carry.

very tough game back in.

All right, so there's so many different, you know things
that you can bet on what color the gatorade will
be for the winning coach when he gets dows this
that I mean, you know, I remember one time and
I got I lost on this one lee before we
get to the national anthem, I lost on this bet.
There were the Giants in the second time we're playing
(17:51):
the Patriots. It was in twenty eleven, and they had
an over under how many times, and I believe it
was NBC who's doing the game with Mike Turico, how
many times Giants quarterback Eli Manning? How many times they
would show Peyton Manning? And remember four years prior to that,
they kept showing Peyton in the suite in fist pumping,
(18:15):
and the over under I want to say was three
and a half.
Speaker 2 (18:19):
I bet it over. They didn't show Peyton Manning once
in that Super Bowl.
Speaker 4 (18:24):
Yep, so you have some, right what's interesting? They'll have
some for like one and a half. And these are
random things. You know, if you're really hurting for action,
you're betting these, so what's interesting. You'll see a bunch
and you think, oh, these are slam dunk you know.
You know Peyton, his brother will show him more than
one and a half times, or you know someone else
(18:46):
who's famous, let's say a significant other in the stands,
things like that, and almost always, if you have to
bet it, play the under, play the under because there's
so many things they have to show and people they
have to get in.
Speaker 5 (19:01):
They're not going to show.
Speaker 4 (19:02):
Someone like that two or three times.
Speaker 5 (19:04):
Almost never.
Speaker 3 (19:05):
Yes, so, Lee, So what do you think now in
terms of that prop when you're talking about I mentioned
the gatorade, the national anthem, what do you see in
something like that? Your daughter Brook, who's a very talented woman,
she's sang the national anthem at a lot of professional
sporting events, in big time games. What do you think
about what does she think about this in particular for
(19:25):
someone who wants to place a player.
Speaker 4 (19:27):
Prop YEP, So what's interesting he is not saying it.
Charlie Pooks has not sang the National Anthem anywhere. You
can go online and look at a lot of different
things and you're just not going to find him singing it.
So he did an interview though, a couple of weeks
ago with Ryan Seacrest, and usually, you know, like coaches,
(19:48):
you don't get almost anything out of what they say.
She got something out of that interview, and what she
was able to glean out of the interview was she
told Ryan Seacrest.
Speaker 5 (19:58):
First, Whitney used, who's also.
Speaker 4 (20:01):
From New Jersey, this is only the second National Anthem
singer from New Jersey. He holds in high respect and
thinks is the greatest of all time.
Speaker 5 (20:09):
Which if you argue with that, you're probably fighting.
Speaker 4 (20:14):
A losing argument. She is the greatest National Anthem singer
of all time. I don't know if anyone can even
come close to it. But what he has done is
he is a composer. He does a lot of things,
you know, doing his own music. And we're talking about
from all the instruments to the singing, So they are
going to have him with a choir and an orchestra.
(20:37):
And he said, he takes this very seriously and it's
one of the greatest honors. So what they do with
the national anthem, it'll start from the time he sings
the first note to the last note, which is brave. Now,
my daughter's done in eleven years. The first nine years
she won. Almost everyone was easy five seconds or more
(20:58):
winners the years ago. Reba McIntyre, what did she do?
She repeated the last line, my daughter had the under
it went over because of that. What happened most sports
books paid both sides because they felt, hey, you know,
we're gonna do it as a good will gesture, so
we count that one as a tie. Last year's Super
(21:19):
Bowl went under, and she wanted to buy a half
a second, one half second. She feels this is going
to go way over. It's it off, okay, minute and
fifty nine and a half seconds, she feels because he
takes it so seriously. And remember from the first note,
if he stops at any time and has the choir
singing or the orchestra, that the clock keeps sticking. Ye,
(21:43):
the last, yes, last time, brave so she feels over
over one minute and fifty nine and a half seconds.
She says, get it now, get it early because it's
probably gonna go up.
Speaker 2 (21:54):
So what is that? What do you have those odds
out right now? In terms of that player prop.
Speaker 6 (22:00):
It?
Speaker 4 (22:00):
It's over one minute and fifty nine seconds, just shive
two minutes minus one fifteen so a lot.
Speaker 2 (22:08):
Yeah. Yeah.

And by the way, how many winning Super Bowls in
a row has Brooke accurately predicted besides the one that
she just missed out on.
Speaker 4 (22:17):
Well, what we call it a tie because obviously she
Reba McIntyre repeated the last line twice. She's won all
ten of the other one, so oh wow. So she
feels strongly about it, and she puts her reputation on
the line.
Speaker 2 (22:32):
I love it.
Speaker 4 (22:33):
She studies singers. She knows sing obviously, you know she's
a she's an actress and also a singer, and is
saying the national anthem for places like the Orange Bowl
in Chicago Bears games.
Speaker 2 (22:43):
That's great. Yeah, and look out for her.
Speaker 3 (22:46):
She's got a very bright future and acting career for
the great Brooks Sterling. She she will you trust me
pretty soon everyone everyone will know pretty soon once she
starts getting some big roles. So now that being said, lead,

And then on the other side, something I really like too.
I like his Mac Collins over fifteen and a half

great height, long arms. Seems like he makes a big
catch down the field almost every single game, so you know,
he probably is only going to catch you two balls
in the game, but it seems like almost every ball
is twenty or more yards. I like him a lot
over fifteen and a half yards on his longest reception.
And probably probably the last thing is I like Ramande

Stevenson under three and a half receptions a lot. I
think here's a guy that Mike Fumble has n't fumbled
in a long long time, and if he gets pulled
out of the game, it's going to hurt his rushing
yards and also his receptions. And I just think that
they're gonna have to keep him into block a lot
more than most people will realize.

because it's the Super Bowl? It's the biggest game? Because

one and two that are better, but everybody is it?
Why is there so many different player prop bets? And
how long will the national anthem go? And what outfit

will bad Bunny be wearing? Why is there all this
stuff where where to?

Is it just because it's the last football game for
the next seven to eight months.

That means anything, absolutely, And and some people, you know,
never place a bet other than the Super Bowl, right,
you know, they're in the sports book. They're doing squares.
A lot of people do squares and and that's a
fun way, you know, to root and have some rooting
interest in the entire game, even if it's been a blowout.
But the problem is, you know, they they want to

give you as many opportunities to lose.

So that's why you know they're gonna put out.

Like I said, there's over five hundred and eighty player

So yeah, everyone's also what parties, you know, your parties,
and you want to have some action on the game,
you know, Uh, if you don't like to wager, you know,
make it, make like a bet with you know, your friend,
lunch bet, dinner bet. You know, that's that's you know,
that's in you know that there's nothing wrong with that,
and that is fun. But people are eating, you know,

they're happy, they're watching the commercials. Yeah, so there's some
incredible commercials and the money they put in there, so
you know, it can get over early. The problem with
wagering on the Super Bowl is sometimes a team gets up.
Now there have been instances where the Patriots came back
from twenty eight to three, but usually, and if you

talk to players, once a team gets up by double digits,
very very tough in the team that's trailing to come back,
they tighten up like a drum and you know that
other team is just feeding off that energy. So you
got to take all those things into account when you're
betting the Super Bowl.

Yeah, and let me just say this, I did a
blog about this fifteen years ago when I was working
for a station in Charlotte, and now I want everybody
in Seattle though, I am this is going to be
a great day, but normally, let's just hypothetically say the
Seahawks were not in the Super Bowl. I literally think
and and I believe this, and I know mad Dog

Chris Russo backs me up on that. You know who
you see on first take, longtime wfan, but with serious
XM Radio since they launched the channel named after him

Bowl Sunday is the worst sports day of the year.

friends and family. That's great, but it becomes less about
the game, more about the pomp and circumstance, the red carpets,

Brown and Reggie White.

ask Kyle Shanahan, ask any Demiko Ryans when they played

I think they're gonna hold the Patriots to a touchdown

think that there is something wrong with with May's shoulder
and they've been hiding it. And I just think that
his receivers these are guys that I think they're pretty

easy to cover if you watch film on him. These
are guys that are straight line guys pretty much, and
I think it's going to be tough for him in
long down and distant situations. If I was them, I
would go with Henderson more. I do think that Ramande
Stevenson will fumble in this game. He's gone so many
games now without a fumble early in the year and
last year fumble itis, so I think he fumbles once.

And I also like Drake made to throw an interception
will go over the half interception there, So if you
have one interception and one fumble from Stevenson, that's going
to equal when I love I love Trevon Henderson. I
think he is the home run hitter, and I don't
think they're going to play him enough, and I think
it's going to cost him a Super Bowl, all right.

Our boss Rich Moore told me about the Seahawks parade
into one thirteen, that Softy got to touch the trophy
and he was going crazy, and he told me how
it was cold as hell, I believe.

I mean I'm first and foremost a Dolphins fan, but
kind of adopted Seattle as my team in the NFC.

the ball, and then it became the conspiracy theory all Pete.

they should have never needed to happen, and it just
did a stain on what otherwise was an unbelievably good,

foremost Miami Hurricanes fans. So three years ago we had

have Donald pretty much right on. We have two carries
for five yards, you know, which is kind of right
on his number.

When it came out, right, two carries five yards. I
want to I want to make sure I get this
out as first quarterback rushing yards. You know, we have
Drake May six carries twenty four yards, who's over under
on the on the Super Bowl thirty seven and a half.
So we're actually pretty heavy on the under there. It's
one that really stuck out that I started, and so

I want to make sure I mentioned that one. Whereas
Donold is on, we have made quite a bit under
on the rushing total.

That's crazy, all right, Ian, Let's keep it rolling. What
else sticks out to you and you just go with it.

I mean their number is like our number. We have

Where we think the big value on Jackson Smith and
Jigba is And it seems to happen every single week,
and I don't understand it is his touchdown number. He's
minus a dollar ten for a touchdown again this week.
Every single week of the season, he's either even money
plus one hundred minus a dollar ten. It's always really low.
So we think the best value on in Jigbe is

that is that touchdown. We have him scoring a touchdown
this week one hundred percent, and so I would play
that at minus a dollar ten.

Okay, what else stands out to you on the Seahawks
side as potential plays.
Speaker 6 (07:01):
Yeah, the Seahawks side, we like Donald to throw two
touchdowns at minus a dollar twenty one. Good value there.
We have them for two and I'll tell you you know,
we were a real hesitant as you remember you called
me out on the interception last time and he was
the best number for no interceptions against the Rams, and
I was hesitant to say it, but we haven't for
no interceptions at plus one oh one. So we like
(07:24):
both those numbers on Donald. And as far as May,
you know his one interception is too expensive. It's a
it's minus a dollar forty five. We think he's definitely
gonna throw an interception, but minus a dollar forty five
is a little bit difficult. But with May two touchdowns,
a plus a buck twenty two two passing touchdowns. We
think that's a pretty reasonable number and a good value
at one twenty two. The big place for us on
(07:45):
May is the under on the rushing again, we have
him for thirty We have him for twenty four yards
over under is thirty seven and a half. Yeah, the Seahawks,
though the injugumate touchdown is a good one. We like
that at a dollar ten. And then look, we think
Cupp is going to get over two and a half
catches again, playing a decent amount of zone defense that
(08:05):
they do. We like Cup to get three catches. It
is minus a buck thirty five, but we like him
to get at least three catches on the day.
Speaker 3 (08:13):
Okay, Lee, I'm gonna get to this before and I'm
gonna come back to you Ian on other Patriot player props, Lee,
who do you like in terms of Super Bowl MVP
That something that stands out to you the most? I mean,
the obviously will always be the quarterback, but is there
somebody like a dark horse like a Rasid Shaheed or
someone of that ilk that you think Pop's Douglas by all,

the Patriots aren't gonna win, but regardless somebody out there
that you think you can get.
Speaker 2 (08:40):
Good value for.

So I almost never play this proper. I'm gonna be honestly,
the only one I bet is Sam Darnold, and it's
just one of these things if you play too many props.

I had a friend one time. I love to tell
the story. We go to Vegas. This is probably thirty
years ago.

He had forty nine bets on props. It took him
literally almost two hours to greade everything, almost two hours,
and when he figured a lot, he was twenty five
and twenty four and he lost like six wagers, like
losing six units because all the juice just ate him alive.

So it was the Chicago Bears and New England Patriots
and it was the fresh It was the first Super
Bowl we score a touchdown and when he crashed you,
I think it was nine to one when he crashed.

I was with all my dad's friends and we were
at the Super Bowl and we had come from from
Tahoe and to.

See the wagers.

People were betting it early and often at the Super Bowl,
I mean, and there were people literally who had no
stake in the game who went absolutely nuts. So that's
one of the reasons why I went absolutely nuts. Was
someone hit a long shot the fridge scoring a touchdown
against the Patriots.

So just a little bit of history on player props.

And you know what, unfortunately, much to the late great
Walter Payton's dismay, that Mike Dicka gave the ball to
refrigerator Perry instead of a guy who broke his back,
his legs and every other part of his anatomy to
that franchise for more than a decade going into that game.

And I don't blame I'm just gonna say this on
a side note because I went to school at Miami
with his son who I just ran into this week,
Jared Payton.

I don't blame Walter Payton.
Speaker 3 (10:53):
Whatsoever for being pissed off and afterwards for Dicka at
first to double down on Oh, I didn't know it
meant that he realized, like, yeah, yeah, if you didn't know,
you knew, you knew, Mike, you knew. Uh So there's
that Ian Patriock player crops. What else stands out to you,
Ramandre Stevenson, Trayveon Henderson, anything else?
Speaker 6 (11:15):
Yeah, you know, we're actually a little bit better on Henderson.
We you know, Henderson's over under on rushing yards is
seventeen and a half. We have them for twenty six.
But the real value potentially could be Henderson with a touchdown.
We have twenty five percent touchdown at a plus four
seventy five. And going on with lishad Man, you're exactly
right with the transaction costs and all these props, and
so it's it's a lot of times a lot of
(11:35):
fun to play, you know, the ones that are long
shots it, you know, and play them for fun. Some
of the other ones like that you know that you
feel like really confident you put them in parlays and things.
Is great, but you know, if you're betting a ton
of parlare or a ton of straight bets on these things,
the transaction costs will get you. And and so you
really want to pick your spots. And I want to
reiterate that that's an important point you brought up, but anyway,
(11:58):
we'll get back. I we like to try on Henderson
in yards and we like him for a twenty five
percent touchdown at plus a four to seventy five. We
think that's pretty good. And I heard you mention Pop Douglass.
You know, here's the thing is, you know we have
Pop for two point four catches his over unders one
and a half. You know, I like pop bets when
the numbers one and a half and we have them
for two and a half, it means they're closer to
(12:19):
three than they are to two, and it's not difficult
to get two catches, especially if we think they're going
to be in a trailing position chasing from behind. So
I would point out a Pop Douglass over one and
a half catches is good, and that means I also
would play over his yards over under on yard at
just ten and a half, and we have them for
twenty four and a lot of times when these guys
(12:39):
are in that chase situation, you'll get these over one
and a half. You'll get that two catch or that
three catch. And so I really like that angle in
this one as well, and then the last one I'll
bring up on their side, the Patriots side is Hunter Henry.
We have Hunter Henry at fifty We don't have the
other receivers for very good games, but we do have
Hunter Henry at fifty one yards the over unders thirty nine.
(13:00):
We have him for a fifty percent touchdown at plus
two thirty. Again another kind of wrong shot touchdown at
plus two thirty, but we have him for a better
chance than the other guys digs with fifty percent touchdown
at a plus two to seventy number. But that's going
to be a more difficult threading for him than it
will be for Henry.
Speaker 2 (13:15):
Yeah, I was going to ask you about how.
Speaker 4 (13:16):
Much to bring up a player here for New England
like to get in.
Speaker 5 (13:20):
I like to get his thoughts on it. And it's
Stefan Diggs.
Speaker 4 (13:23):
I'm watching him, and you know, I use analytics a lot,
that's my background in finance, but also from playing. There's
something about it. I think he's lost at least a.
Speaker 2 (13:33):
Step, no doubt, no doubt.
Speaker 4 (13:36):
You know is over under is four and a half catches,
and I know he caught five and four in the
last two games. But the first game of the playoffs
was two, and some other games in the last half
some twos and threes. His only real big games this
year were nine catches for one thirty eight against Baltimore
and six for one on one against the Jets. I
(13:56):
mean two, I mean absolutely horrific secondaries, and he's going
to be facing one of the top secondaries plays a
lot more man demand than than some of these other
teams play, and without him getting a lot of separation.
You know, let's say, obviously if they are trailing, that
would help that number.
Speaker 5 (14:14):
To get over.
Speaker 4 (14:14):
But I have it, like I figured out three point
two catches, and I think he's certainly way on the
down side of his career. I wouldn't be shocked if
he only ends up with something like two catches for
the game.
Speaker 5 (14:26):
I just think four and a half is high.
Speaker 6 (14:29):
We have him for three point eight, I agree with
you. You know, we kind of round up to four, but
we have him for three point eight catches, and so
we're there with you. I think he's got tough sliding,
he's got some tough matchups with with Witherspoon, and I
think he lost the step the catches he's getting in
some of these other games or underneath stuff, and three
point eight catches for Stephan Diggs is a really low number.
(14:50):
So if you, if you know, if you're a Seahawks fan,
you want to and you run a bet of unders,
bet that may under and you can you can feel
comfortable in that digs at four and a half, we
have him three point eight.

You know you guys, and I'm with you on the
may under rushing yards, Ian, because I'm telling you right
now this dark side number one ranked defense in the NFL.
You can ask Christian McCaffrey in the last month when
he faced his team, I don't think he had more
than thirty eight yards combined in two games and it
was like two point eight yards per carry.

an over under how many times, and I believe it
was NBC who's doing the game with Mike Turico, how
many times Giants quarterback Eli Manning? How many times they
would show Peyton Manning? And remember four years prior to that,
they kept showing Peyton in the suite in fist pumping,

and the over under I want to say was three
and a half.

I bet it over. They didn't show Peyton Manning once
in that Super Bowl.

Yep, so you have some, right what's interesting? They'll have
some for like one and a half. And these are
random things. You know, if you're really hurting for action,
you're betting these, so what's interesting. You'll see a bunch
and you think, oh, these are slam dunk you know.
You know Peyton, his brother will show him more than
one and a half times, or you know someone else

who's famous, let's say a significant other in the stands,
things like that, and almost always, if you have to
bet it, play the under, play the under because there's
so many things they have to show and people they
have to get in.

They're not going to show.

Someone like that two or three times.

Almost never.

Yes, so, Lee, So what do you think now in
terms of that prop when you're talking about I mentioned
the gatorade, the national anthem, what do you see in
something like that? Your daughter Brook, who's a very talented woman,
she's sang the national anthem at a lot of professional
sporting events, in big time games. What do you think
about what does she think about this in particular for

someone who wants to place a player.

Prop YEP, So what's interesting he is not saying it.
Charlie Pooks has not sang the National Anthem anywhere. You
can go online and look at a lot of different
things and you're just not going to find him singing it.
So he did an interview though, a couple of weeks
ago with Ryan Seacrest, and usually, you know, like coaches,
(19:48):
you don't get almost anything out of what they say.
She got something out of that interview, and what she
was able to glean out of the interview was she
told Ryan Seacrest.

First, Whitney used, who's also.
Speaker 4 (20:01):
From New Jersey, this is only the second National Anthem
singer from New Jersey. He holds in high respect and
thinks is the greatest of all time.

Which if you argue with that, you're probably fighting.

A losing argument. She is the greatest National Anthem singer
of all time. I don't know if anyone can even
come close to it. But what he has done is
he is a composer. He does a lot of things,
you know, doing his own music. And we're talking about
from all the instruments to the singing, So they are
going to have him with a choir and an orchestra.

And he said, he takes this very seriously and it's
one of the greatest honors. So what they do with
the national anthem, it'll start from the time he sings
the first note to the last note, which is brave. Now,
my daughter's done in eleven years. The first nine years
she won. Almost everyone was easy five seconds or more

winners the years ago. Reba McIntyre, what did she do?
She repeated the last line, my daughter had the under
it went over because of that. What happened most sports
books paid both sides because they felt, hey, you know,
we're gonna do it as a good will gesture, so
we count that one as a tie. Last year's Super

Bowl went under, and she wanted to buy a half
a second, one half second. She feels this is going
to go way over. It's it off, okay, minute and
fifty nine and a half seconds, she feels because he
takes it so seriously. And remember from the first note,
if he stops at any time and has the choir
singing or the orchestra, that the clock keeps sticking. Ye,

the last, yes, last time, brave so she feels over
over one minute and fifty nine and a half seconds.
She says, get it now, get it early because it's
probably gonna go up.

half receptions, a guy that's really come on and look good.
And then on the other side, something I really like too.
I like his Mac Collins over fifteen and a half
yards on his longest reception. Here's a guy doesn't run
any underneath patters everything is down the field. He's got

great height, long arms. Seems like he makes a big
catch down the field almost every single game, so you know,
he probably is only going to catch you two balls
in the game, but it seems like almost every ball
is twenty or more yards. I like him a lot
over fifteen and a half yards on his longest reception.
And probably probably the last thing is I like Ramande
(26:47):
Stevenson under three and a half receptions a lot. I
think here's a guy that Mike Fumble has n't fumbled
in a long long time, and if he gets pulled
out of the game, it's going to hurt his rushing
yards and also his receptions. And I just think that
they're gonna have to keep him into block a lot
more than most people will realize.

So I like him under three and a half receptions

that you can bet and rest assure it'll be covered

does everybody go so crazy over this game? Is it
because it's the Super Bowl? It's the biggest game? Because
you know, and I know there are games in Week
one and two that are better, but everybody is it?
Why is there so many different player prop bets? And
how long will the national anthem go? And what outfit

will bad Bunny be wearing? Why is there all this
stuff where where to?

You know?

Is it just because it's the last football game for
the next seven to eight months.
Speaker 4 (33:35):
That means anything, absolutely, And and some people, you know,
never place a bet other than the Super Bowl, right,
you know, they're in the sports book. They're doing squares.
A lot of people do squares and and that's a
fun way, you know, to root and have some rooting
interest in the entire game, even if it's been a blowout.
But the problem is, you know, they they want to

give you as many opportunities to lose.

So that's why you know they're gonna put out.

Like I said, there's over five hundred and eighty player
props that are available, like gatorade.

There's people have a friend literally bets the coin toss.

So yeah, I just I just think that that's absolutely absurd.

So yeah, everyone's also what parties, you know, your parties,
and you want to have some action on the game,
you know, Uh, if you don't like to wager, you know,
make it, make like a bet with you know, your friend,
lunch bet, dinner bet. You know, that's that's you know,
that's in you know that there's nothing wrong with that,
and that is fun. But people are eating, you know,

they're happy, they're watching the commercials. Yeah, so there's some
incredible commercials and the money they put in there, so
you know, it can get over early. The problem with
wagering on the Super Bowl is sometimes a team gets up.
Now there have been instances where the Patriots came back
from twenty eight to three, but usually, and if you

talk to players, once a team gets up by double digits,
very very tough in the team that's trailing to come back,
they tighten up like a drum and you know that
other team is just feeding off that energy. So you
got to take all those things into account when you're
betting the Super Bowl.
Speaker 3 (35:46):
Yeah, and let me just say this, I did a
blog about this fifteen years ago when I was working
for a station in Charlotte, and now I want everybody
in Seattle though, I am this is going to be
a great day, but normally, let's just hypothetically say the
Seahawks were not in the Super Bowl. I literally think
and and I believe this, and I know mad Dog

Chris Russo backs me up on that. You know who
you see on first take, longtime wfan, but with serious
XM Radio since they launched the channel named after him
in two thousand and nine. I literally believe that Super
Bowl Sunday is the worst sports day of the year.
Now why do I say that, Because it's not about

real sports fans. It's an American unofficial American holiday. There
is you know, it's about you know, a social event,
people getting together, like you mentioned, you know, spending time
friends and family. That's great, but it becomes less about
the game, more about the pomp and circumstance, the red carpets,

Brown and Reggie White.

I like it to be about football, to be about
exactly why we love this so much. But I love
the fact that the Hawks are in it. That's the

Collins go to school? Most people wouldn't know. Most people

go in a halftime, the guy who makes the best
halftime adjustments in the NFL is Mike McDonald's asks Sean McVeigh,
ask Kyle Shanahan, ask any Demiko Ryans when they played

him earlier this year.

I think the Seattle Seahawks.

Maybe I'm the only one scene this way, Seattle twenty seven,
the Patriots ten.

All right? So I've got Seattle twenty seven to sixteen.
I think they're gonna hold the Patriots to a touchdown
in three field goals and then defense wins championships. I
think that there is something wrong with with May's shoulder
and they've been hiding it. And I just think that
his receivers these are guys that I think they're pretty

easy to cover if you watch film on him. These
are guys that are straight line guys pretty much, and
I think it's going to be tough for him in
long down and distant situations. If I was them, I
would go with Henderson more. I do think that Ramande
Stevenson will fumble in this game. He's gone so many
games now without a fumble early in the year and
last year fumble itis, so I think he fumbles once.

And I also like Drake made to throw an interception
will go over the half interception there, So if you
have one interception and one fumble from Stevenson, that's going
to equal when I love I love Trevon Henderson. I
think he is the home run hitter, and I don't
think they're going to play him enough, and I think
it's going to cost him a Super Bowl, all right.

Our boss Rich Moore told me about the Seahawks parade
into one thirteen, that Softy got to touch the trophy
and he was going crazy, and he told me how
it was cold as hell, I believe.

But are we ready Pioneer squared Soto on Wednesday? I
hope so, man, I hope it's not as cold as
it was last time. But I don't care if it's
a freaking tornado. As long as there's a parade and
the Hawks win, I'll take whatever weather they want to

A little bit for me, Not for the players, but

I was here with my dad, my mom and dad
and my wife eleven years ago. Never got to see

there at forty nine with my pops. I was there
at forty eight, but I was not with my dad.
I was with some friends that day, so I never
