signed four anti LGBTQ bills into lawthat criminalized gender affirming care, threatened drag
performances, and restrict their expression ofart at Pride festivals, expands the Don't
Say Gay bill through twelfth grade,and an anti trans bathroom bill that requires
a person to use the bathroom fortheir gender assigned at birth. Florida's Escambia

School District is being sued by writersgroup Pan America, Penguin, Random House,
Publishers, authors and parents for removingten books from library shelves that contain
racial and LGBTQ plus themes. Thelawsuit states that the removals are due to
the complaints of one teacher in thecounty, and even though review committees deemed
them educationally suitable, the school boardstill voted to remove them. And The
