Speaker 1 (00:00):
Is there money? I mean, jo, it's a Joe question. Yeah,
they wake up in a morning, I get what is
going on getting reburbed there. But when they woke up
in the morning and their stocks have dropped, are they
panicking or yeah?
Speaker 2 (00:15):
I mean most people are certainly not happy with what
they're seeing. But I think it's you know, just understanding
that like volatility like we're seeing right now, is happens
every year and people forget that. I mean even last
two years. The market's been up twenty percent each of
the last two years, but we still saw an eight
percent draw down and a ten percent draw down during
(00:37):
those years, and that's about what we're at right now.
So it's just expected. In ninety one out of the
last ninety five years of the market have been a
five percent drawdown. The market at some point has gone
down five percent over a period of time. So this
is normal. But a lot of our clients they're not
worried about it as much. Nobody wants to see it,
but they know that any money that they're going to
(00:58):
need in the next five ten years, as an example,
is protected. So we build plans, is what we do
with our clients to make sure that they don't have
to take out money when the market's down. They can
let it wait until it comes back up. And so
you start running the problems when you start taking out
from you know, investments that are not only down, but
now you take it out. Now that's two losses, and
then are you going to have the time to make
(01:19):
it up. So that's why if they are going to
need that money in the short term, we always want
it protected. So our clients know that the money that
is down, they're not gonna have to touch it, so
they can they can live with it.
Speaker 1 (01:28):
Okay. I think of remodeling a kitchen. I know this
is a stretch, but you remodel your kitchen, you tear
it all apart, You get dust, every you got plastic,
you got wood chips, You've got a mess. But when
a kitchen gets all put back together, you get this
beautiful kitchen. And that's what I'm thinking. What Trump's doing
right now, He's playing the tear of card to call
(01:49):
their bluff. Okay, I'm going to tear a few thirty
percent on your stuff if you don't back up on darts. Now,
if Japan and China and all these other countries are smart,
to go, Hey, we've been charging you twenty percent. We're
going go down to ten percent if you do ten percent.
Is that what do you think as game plan is?
Speaker 2 (02:03):
Yeah, it's just negotiation. And Trump is such a strong
business person. He's really good with just setting the tone
and holding to it right. Most people are too weak.
They're not going to hold to it right. They're gonna
let them win the deal. Trump's gonna win the deal,
and that's why he's being so strict with it. So
I actually think there's a big mess right now. But
(02:24):
it's the reason why everyone's coming to the understanding of
the big mess is because we are trying to attack it.
We've been ignoring this stuff for years. Yeah, and now
it's actually like, let's take some action on this and
let's make this stuff better. And there's gonna be some
short term Like you said, the kitchen is gonna be
all a mess, but I think there's gonna be some
good things that come from it, for sure. I mean,
is it going to be able to get fixed. Probably
not to be. Honestly, just a big mess.
Speaker 1 (02:45):
We let them let other countries just beat us to
the ground. I don't know why that is. Probably kickback,
you know, shady deal, especially Biden's family. I mean, it's
be honest, I don't care what side of the out
way you're on. The Clintons and the Bidens are just
the mafia type. You know, this is like what are
you doing? Yeah?
Speaker 3 (03:03):
What you're seeing everything that's being cleaned up, even on
the doge side. So I mean, everything's getting exposed. It's
been you know, discussed for the last twenty years and
it's finally come to a head and they're kind of
trying to clean it up.
Speaker 1 (03:14):
