Speaker 2 (00:04):
In the morning, Amanda and Murphy's Burrow is on the phone.
Good morning, Amanda, Good morning, How are you. How have
you been the last few days? What does your situation
tell us? Everything?
Speaker 3 (00:14):
Actually, I enjoyed in home and not having to go
to work. I actually went to work this morning at
one o'clock and I got off are almost four. What
do you do a looks for Amazon?
Speaker 4 (00:29):
Well, honestly, thank you so much for doing what you're doing.
Speaker 5 (00:31):
I know it's super rough out there and the roads
are still not very great, so we appreciate you still
going to work this morning.
Speaker 4 (00:37):
Did you lose power at all?
Speaker 6 (00:39):
I did not?
Speaker 4 (00:39):
Okay, good for you, all.
Speaker 3 (00:41):
Right, Amanda.
Speaker 7 (00:41):
Then it seems like you're starting to get into like
a normal pace of life again, which is great to hear.
I think a lot of us are trying right now
today to sort of get back to normal.
Speaker 3 (00:51):
Not everybody has.
Speaker 7 (00:52):
That ability, obviously, because so many people are still without
power right now. But we're happy to hear that you're
starting to get back into the groove of things again.
Speaker 8 (01:00):
And didn't having to push my husband's car out of
the ice yesterday.
Speaker 3 (01:06):
See that's the crazy part. Is like a lot of
people are starting to drive and stuff like that. I
was just talking about my drive in.
Speaker 7 (01:11):
There's lots of areas that still have a lot of ice.
There's areas that look super clear, and then out of
nowhere there's.
Speaker 3 (01:17):
Just massive patches of ice.
Speaker 8 (01:19):
Yep, our apartment complex is still got up.
Speaker 3 (01:23):
Mine isn't taken care of anything at all. It's all
ice outside. Yeah, that's how mine is.
Speaker 2 (01:30):
Was there a happy resolution ending to that car story,
your husband's car.
Speaker 7 (01:35):
Yeah, we got it out and I saved it from
hitting another car.
Speaker 5 (01:39):
The hero that you are, Amanda, hear it, the strong
pushing cars out of ice, picking it out like Superman.
Speaker 4 (01:51):
Amanda.
Speaker 7 (01:52):
We're happy to hear that everything is going okay and
going better as of today, and it's gonna get even
better because you are the first of the day on
one O seven five The River. You're gonna go see
Laurence Spencersmith at the Ryman February fourth.
Speaker 2 (02:05):
So next week, all right, hang on, we're gonna put

your day with us.
Speaker 3 (02:12):
Okay, you welcome.
Speaker 6 (02:13):
Pick you one O seven five.
Speaker 1 (02:15):
The River, Ricky, Zach and Mannow in the Morning.
Speaker 3 (02:18):
Today is the day I finally left my house.
Speaker 7 (02:22):
It's Ricky, Zach and Mano in the Morning on one
O seven five the River. I've been stuck in my
house since Friday.
Speaker 4 (02:27):
It's like a bear coming out of hibernation.
Speaker 7 (02:29):
Yeah, truly at my house. I mean seven hundred square
foot apartment. Yeah, with another human being.
Speaker 2 (02:34):
Man You guys, you and ag A just trapped in
there for days. I know that's a lot of people's
story right now. So you're not You're not alone in this,
but I want to find out how it feels to
have emerged. We're gonna find out if Ricky saw her shadow,
what's to come, all the things right after Taylor Swift
tell us about your experience.
Speaker 3 (02:49):
Okay, all right, I'm ready.
Speaker 6 (02:51):
Ricky is Zach and Mano in the Morning.
Speaker 2 (02:54):
One five seven five the River. Ricky, Zach and Mano
in the Morning, Live with you on this Wednesday morning.
All back to work. I know this has been a
devastating week for Nashville. A lot of people snowed in.
That was Ricky until this morning just saw the outside
world for the first time since Friday.
Speaker 7 (03:11):
This morning is the first time that I left my
apartment because of the ice, and my car is not
great in the ice. I have a tiny little twenty
sixteen Volkswagen Beetle that does not do well in snow
or ice. It is not prepared for that. Poor little
Mac does not like the cold. But I've been stuck
inside and today I was like, all right, it seems
like this might be the day. I will say, please
(03:31):
still be careful while you're driving, because there are so
many areas that are clear, and then there are areas
that are just covered.
Speaker 4 (03:38):
In the black ice.
Speaker 7 (03:40):
Yes, so please just drive carefully, drive slowly. That's what
I did to get into work, and I think that's
what helped. At one point I did slip out, and
it was inside a.
Speaker 3 (03:49):
Parking garage here at work.
Speaker 7 (03:52):
So like it can be anywhere the ice, anywhere that
there's water, it can just become ice. So keep that
in mind and please be careful. Why but it feels
good to be outside.
Speaker 5 (04:02):
About to say, how do you feel now that you
finally left your apartment. You've been in there since Friday,
which is crazy to me.
Speaker 7 (04:08):
Since Friday, at I don't know, two pm, I've been
inside my four hundred four hundred seven hundred skurfee, I
think is what it is.
Speaker 2 (04:15):
Apartment probably felt a lot smaller.
Speaker 7 (04:17):
Four I felt so much smaller after a while, because
you also, you know, you can't call it balcony.
Speaker 3 (04:23):
The balcony makes it feel bigger.
Speaker 2 (04:25):
Than it actually beating.
Speaker 3 (04:28):
But yeah, so we've been spending a lot of time inside.
Speaker 7 (04:30):
We are very lucky because we've had power through this.
So I do know how lucky I.
Speaker 3 (04:34):
Am for that. Both AJ and I know that because
there are a lot of people without power still.
Speaker 7 (04:39):
And I'm thinking of all of you. I've been so
worried about all of Nashville this entire time. But hopefully
we start to get a little more normal from today on.
Speaker 2 (04:47):
Did times start to lose all meaning for you when
you're in there?
Speaker 3 (04:50):
Oh, for sure.
Speaker 7 (04:51):
I was very confused on time while I was stuck inside,
but it was it was kind of nice to have
a little bit of a break and to not feel
like I needed to go anywhere or needed to do anything,
So that part was nice for like the first few days.
Speaker 3 (05:05):
I did say to you guys the.
Speaker 7 (05:06):
Other day that we were getting very close to the
day that I'm just gonna have to break out.
Speaker 3 (05:10):
I'm gonna have to break out of the apartment and
do something today that day.
Speaker 2 (05:14):
You're broadcasting from home for the last two days, and
you wore the same shirt both days. Mentally we knew
you weren't one hundred percent yep, but your your hair,
your fresh, you're cleaning today shirt.
Speaker 3 (05:25):
I was thinking showered for you guys.
Speaker 2 (05:26):
I was thinking about how there will be a population
boom in Nashville in about nine ten months.
Speaker 3 (05:31):
Oh yeah, you know, yeah.
Speaker 2 (05:33):
People staying inside.
Speaker 3 (05:34):
There's not much to do when you're stuck inside other
than you know.
Speaker 2 (05:38):
Well, that's my way of asking if we can expect
Oh no, no.
Speaker 3 (05:44):
No, what's shut upon me?
Speaker 2 (05:47):
I'm glad you're out of the house. Going to see
you back in studio. Three things you need to know
the past seven o'clock here on this Wednesday morning. We
really appreciate you starting your day with let's take it
easy out there, go slow. Ricky Sanchez has those three things.
Speaker 7 (06:01):
We have an update on power outages in Middle Tennessee.
Nes is reporting a little over one hundred and six
one hundred and six thousand customers without power, and Middle
Tennessee Electric is reporting seven hundred and eighty three customers
without power. They have crews working NonStop to get everyone's
power back. I know this has been beyond frustrating for
everybody that doesn't have power right now. I know everybody
(06:23):
is cold. I feel you, I feel for you.
Speaker 3 (06:26):
Hang in there.
Speaker 7 (06:28):
There are warming shelters still available if you need a
warm place to stay, and if you can't get there,
you can call six one five four zero one seventeen.
Speaker 3 (06:37):
Twelve for a ride. That's six one five four to
oh one seventeen twelve for a ride. I really hope
everything gets up and running very soon.
Speaker 7 (06:46):
Obviously, this, uh, these amount of customers that are still
without power is a lot, but it is way less
than what they started with at the beginning of the storm,
so they're working on it.
Speaker 2 (06:57):
Our appreciation to all the crews to.
Speaker 3 (06:59):
The line absolutely.
Speaker 7 (07:01):
Both Harry Styles and Dochi will present at the Grammys
this year. They're the first presenters to be announced for
this year's show. Both Harry and Doci are past Grammy winners,
and Dochi is nominated in five categories this year for
her song Anxiety.
Speaker 3 (07:14):
So that's going to be really cool to watch.
Speaker 7 (07:15):
The Grammys are really shaking out to be something to
watch this year because they previously announced some performers. Sabrina Carpenter, Clips,
Pharral Williams and the eight Best New Artist nominees are
all going to perform this year.
Speaker 3 (07:27):
The show is going to air live Layer It's going
to air.
Speaker 7 (07:31):
Live on Sunday, February first at seven pm our time.
And this is what you need to know if you
had any flights canceled or delayed by the recent winter storm.
This intense winter storm hit US and many other states.
It grounded more than twelve thousand flights nationwide, so it
was quite a hectic time for flights. If a flight
(07:52):
is canceled and you decide not to travel, airlines are
legally required to issue you a full refund, even on
non refundable tickets, plus.
Speaker 3 (08:00):
Any unused bag fees or seat upgrades.
Speaker 7 (08:02):
That is something to know because I did not know
that as always checking your flight status before heading to
the airport is best practice. If you're flying today, make
sure that you're checking your flight status with your airline
because there is still back up from the winter storm
and from shortages of air traffic controllers as well. BNA
did have to shut down recently for a few hours
(08:23):
because they didn't have anybody to staff the control tower.
So keep all of that in mind because obviously that
makes an impact for quite a while. Check with your
airline before you head to the airport. Mrique Sanchez and
those are the three things you need to know.
Speaker 6 (08:36):
Class is in Sessions Sacks fact on one river.
Speaker 5 (08:42):
Well, what is the longest a human can hold their
breath underwater? You may ask, Don't worry, Professor Woodward has
an answer.
Speaker 3 (08:47):
For Professor Oh my god.
Speaker 5 (08:51):
So apparently there's a world record for breath holding underwater
with a time of twenty four minutes and thirty seven flying. No,
it happened in March twenty seventh at twenty twenty one
in Croatia, and it with twenty four minutes and thirty
seven seconds, while the average human can only hold their
breath for thirty to ninety seconds.
Speaker 2 (09:09):
Oh my goodness. I feel like that had to be
like David Blaine or something.
Speaker 4 (09:12):
It's absolutely insane, is what I'll say it is.
Speaker 7 (09:14):
I think when I was a kid, we we used
to obviously time each other. My brother and I like
who count hold their breath alongest and on kid timing,
I got to like forty five seconds. Yeah, which kid
timing is probably more like twenty seconds.
Speaker 4 (09:28):
It felt like forever.
Speaker 2 (09:29):
That's a crazy stad Zaich.
Speaker 4 (09:30):
Yeah, there's your fact of the day.
Speaker 6 (09:32):
Ricky is Zach and Manno in the morning on the River.
Speaker 7 (09:37):
If you are a business or a person who works
for like a restaurant or a shop here in Middle Tennessee,
we want to hear from you if you're open today,
because we're trying to support everybody that's opening.
Speaker 2 (09:48):
Yeah, get the word out if you guys are up
and run, and if business is back, because not only
do we want to help your business, but we want
to help people that might need a place to go,
stay warm, charge some stuff, you know, all those reasons.
Speaker 3 (10:01):
Absolutely, it's important.
Speaker 7 (10:02):
Obviously a lot of places have lost a lot of
money over the weekend and continue to because they don't have.
Speaker 3 (10:07):
Power right now.
Speaker 2 (10:08):
Six one five, seven, three seven nine, one oh seven.
If you are open, or if you know a business that's.
Speaker 1 (10:14):
Open, let us know one O seven five the River, Ricky,
Zach and Minnow in the morning.
Speaker 7 (10:19):
We're trying to find out some businesses who are open
today for you to support, because obviously through the snowstorm,
a lot of places had to close because of power
outages and because of ice. So a lot of people
are missing out on money right now. We need to
support our local businesses. We got our friend Bo on
the line. Bo, you have a place that's open today?
Speaker 1 (10:37):
Yes, I do, the Elson Place Soda Shop.
Speaker 4 (10:39):
We'll be open today nine.
Speaker 1 (10:40):
Am to three pm. We'll have warm coffee, breakfast, burgers
and froze.
Speaker 2 (10:45):
And uh yeah, nine am to three pm today.
Speaker 4 (10:47):
Yeah.
Speaker 5 (10:47):
I'm not gonna lie if you've never been to the
Ellison Place Soda Shop. The best burgers in town. Like,
I'm craving one right now.
Speaker 2 (10:54):
They're so good and their milkshakes are not too shabby.
Shaking my kids there before.
Speaker 8 (10:59):
Absolutely will have today.
Speaker 3 (11:01):
Awesome both.
Speaker 7 (11:02):
Thank you so much for letting us know everybody goes
support obviously, this is important.
Speaker 2 (11:06):
Bo.
Speaker 7 (11:07):
Thank you for you know, getting out there, because I
know some places are still really rough right now.
Speaker 1 (11:11):
Thank you y'all. We love the river, appreciate it.
Speaker 3 (11:15):
Have a great day you too.
Speaker 4 (11:16):
Bye bye.
Speaker 2 (11:17):
We're building a whole list over here, so thanks to
everybody for reaching out. This is great. I want to
say that the Ladybird Taco in East Nashville is open,
as is the Gulch location today. They opened at eight am.
I repeat Ladybird Taco in East Nashville and the gould
Favorite spot is my favorite. The twelve South location I
believe will be closed today. I know a lot of
folks over there still dealing with power outages.
Speaker 7 (11:38):
There are a lot of other places that are open
and also just so you know, a lot of these
were opened yesterday for you to support. We're hoping that
they're also going to be open today. It's still pretty
early in the morning, but Pizza Hut on West End
Avenue has been opened. They've been just slinging pizzas for
everybody there. Sunflower Bakehouse was opened yesterday. Vui's in all locations.
Speaker 3 (11:57):
You also love that spot.
Speaker 7 (11:58):
keV Point Dex Pink Door Cookies I saw opened yesterday
and are making do with what they can without any
delivery services.
Speaker 3 (12:07):
That's something to keep in mind.
Speaker 7 (12:08):
A lot of delivery services have been down for the
count for the last few days, so there are also
a lot of delivery people who are missing out on
money right now as well because of the ice and snow.
Speaker 5 (12:17):
I also want to give a shout out to our
friends at Tailgate because they've been opened their Germantown location.
Speaker 4 (12:23):
Their HQ and West Nashville.
Speaker 5 (12:25):
Like they have multiple locations all over Nashville, and they
have some of the best pizza in town and they're
like locally owned.
Speaker 4 (12:29):
Love them. They're open with warm pizza, beer, Gotta do
what you gotta.
Speaker 7 (12:33):
Do, Family Tacos off Charlotte av Benji's Bagels.
Speaker 3 (12:37):
Graham's Garage has been open the last few days.
Speaker 7 (12:39):
They've been trying to open early as well to make
sure that you can come in, get warm, charge up
your phones, things like that. A lot of local spots
are trying to do that if they can a lot
of local spots also have like discounts going for anybody
who is here locally so that they can get some
food in their bellies.
Speaker 3 (12:55):
If you don't have any power.
Speaker 7 (12:56):
This is so important both ways, right for the businesses
because the this is need to keep running here in Nashville,
and also for you if you don't have any power,
it's nice to know the places that you can go
to warm up, get a warm meal, charge your phones
and your laptops, things like that.
Speaker 3 (13:10):
We will continue to keep you updated.
Speaker 7 (13:12):
I've been posting on one oh seven five the River
a logo of asking you know, are you open today?
So if you're looking for places that are open, I'm
gonna post that again today.
Speaker 3 (13:21):
You can keep your eye out on that.
Speaker 7 (13:23):
And if you are open or you're headed to work
right now at a restaurant or a shop, let us
know six one five, seven, three seven nine one oh
seven one o seven.
Speaker 1 (13:32):
Five the River, Ricky, Zach and Minnow in the morning.
Speaker 2 (13:35):
Anna is on the line. She's headed into Murphy's Borough.
We've been building this list of local places that are
open today, not only to get them the business, but
also to help some people get warm, charge their phones,
do what they have to do. Uh Anna, what business
are we talking about.
Speaker 8 (13:49):
It's not exactly low like locally owned, but Barnes and Noble.
Speaker 4 (13:53):
Okay, great, So I'm the man frown.
Speaker 8 (13:55):
There will be open today, and I believe the Brentwood
location will be open. Warm books and coffee for food
there too. He doesn't love a good book on a
really coold day.
Speaker 4 (14:05):
Honestly, I feel like this is great.
Speaker 5 (14:07):
Go warm up, charge your phone, read a book like
relax for a minute and the warmth.
Speaker 4 (14:11):
This is a really good idea.
Speaker 1 (14:13):
Anna.
Speaker 8 (14:13):
I just want people to know that it's a good
place to go. I was without power for a while
here in Nashville, so I know I would have appreciated it.
Speaker 3 (14:21):
And I'm sorry to hear that you didn't have power
you got it back.
Speaker 8 (14:24):
Though we did.
Speaker 4 (14:25):
We did.
Speaker 8 (14:25):
We we got like, we have a fireplace, so we
were able to kind of.
Speaker 7 (14:28):
Keep warm until Okay, it's been so scary with the
amount of people that still don't have power and with
how cold it's been. But we're happy to hear that
you got power back and that you were safe and warm.
Speaker 8 (14:38):
Yeah, we were safe and worm. And I still have
friends who are without power and they're just making accommodations
as they can.
Speaker 2 (14:45):
You gotta do what you gotta do.
Speaker 8 (14:46):
It's still going on.
Speaker 2 (14:47):
I'm sure you guys normally have you know, policies against
just like lounging and reading a book for too long.
But if somebody wanted to come in there and just
get lost in books all day, is that okay?
Speaker 8 (14:55):
Literally, you could be the opening.
Speaker 7 (15:00):
Thank you so much for letting us know, Anna, for
letting everybody else know that there is a safe space
for them to go.
Speaker 3 (15:05):
Yeah, we hope you have a great day, all right.
Speaker 8 (15:08):
Thank you.
Speaker 5 (15:08):
You guys, I've never wanted to go to Barnes and
Noble more in my life.
Speaker 2 (15:14):
Yeah, she was very sweet.
Speaker 3 (15:16):
And it sounds so sweet. So there's another place for.
Speaker 4 (15:18):
You to go.
Speaker 2 (15:19):
I worked at a bookstore in high school. I would
get there before it opened to, like, you know, clean
up the shelves and everything. One of my favorite jobs
of all time. I loved it.
Speaker 4 (15:26):
Well, that makes sense to me because Kevin loves to clean.
Speaker 2 (15:29):
I love I mean, honestly, truly.
Speaker 3 (15:30):
He doesn't really do well in the quiet though. The
calm no, I.
Speaker 2 (15:33):
Think I had headphones. I was listening to stuff that
makes so much more sense.
Speaker 7 (15:38):
Just a heads up, make sure you're following at one
O seven five The River's Instagram page. There have been
a lot of posts up there of who's open, what's
going on with power outages, things like that. We're keeping
you updated here on one O seven five The River,
but also on Instagram.
Speaker 2 (15:51):
Yes we are. And we've got Miguel tickets coming up
with the game of the day. They're going to be
very easy to win, I promise.
Speaker 6 (15:57):
Next Ricky is Zach and man O in the morning
on the River.
Speaker 3 (16:03):

bit of normalcy back to the airwaves. We've obviously been
keeping you updated all the power outages of what's going
on here in Middle Tennessee because it's been crazy with
this ice storm. But we have tickets for Miguel at
the Rhyme in and hopefully Devon and Charlotte wins.
Speaker 2 (16:24):

Speaker 2 (16:29):

power or anything?
Speaker 6 (16:33):
Love?
Speaker 2 (16:33):
Power for a game?
Speaker 8 (16:35):
Well?
Speaker 2 (16:36):
Okay, good, All is well. Now the game this week
is called sure Thing, and honestly playing trying to win
the tickets. It's a sure thing. I'm gonna ask you questions.
You need to get three out of five of them
right in order to get these tickets. Okay, okay, we
normally do two out of three. This time it's three
out of five. Devin, Your game starts right now. Devin,
(16:57):

Speaker 3 (17:10):
On the board. You have great odds right now, Devon.
Speaker 2 (17:13):
Great win. What was your first job?
Speaker 4 (17:20):
Worked in a restaurant? Which one bacon and caviar?
Speaker 2 (17:29):
Did you say bacon and caviar.
Speaker 8 (17:32):
Yeah, they have a catering kitchen and a smokehouse.
Speaker 2 (17:35):
Uh has the Farmer's Market DNC smokeouse.
Speaker 4 (17:38):
Honestly, very good.
Speaker 3 (17:40):
Okay, good, I'm intrigued now though.
Speaker 2 (17:42):
You get this one.
Speaker 4 (17:43):
You win, Devon.
Speaker 2 (17:43):
Here we go, Devon and Charlotte. Would you say that
you are a morning person or a night person?
Speaker 8 (17:51):
This is a tough one. Uh, definitely a mourning person.
Speaker 7 (18:01):
Congratulations, you killed that game, Devin.
Speaker 3 (18:04):
You did such a good job.
Speaker 2 (18:06):
We figured nobody needs more stress. This week. We're just
gonna make it nice and easy. You're going to see

Speaker 1 (18:21):
I thank you.
Speaker 7 (18:21):
I I know I didn't know if he was gonna
pull it out or not.
Speaker 2 (18:25):
But play it again tomorrow. Sure thing is the name
of the game, and now you understand why. Three things
you need to know. Well, thank you so much for
starting this Wednesday morning with us. It's just after eight
o'clock and Ricky's got those three things.
Speaker 7 (18:38):
National waste services are suspended again today due to the
weather and ice. Trash and recycling services have been suspended today.
Convenience centers are open with modified hours of eight am
to three thirty pm, and they will be free of
charge for drop off all week long. You can bring
household garbage and recycling to one of their convenience centers
for no charge. So they're evaluating daily to see when
(19:00):
they can resume services. I will keep you updated, but
they are also keeping everybody updated on their social media
as well as to when services will resume. Season four
of Ted Lasso gets a summer release window, so Apple
TV has confirmed that Ted Lasso is going to officially
return this summer.
Speaker 3 (19:19):
The new season will see Ted taking.
Speaker 7 (19:21):
On a new challenge because he's going to be coaching
a second division women's football team. According to the synopsis quote,
Ted and the team learned to leap before they look,
taking chances that they never thought they would. Much of
the core casts are all going to be back with
several new editions. The current season is in production right
now so or the next season is currently in production
(19:42):
right now, so we can expect it. Like they said,
this summer, very exciting stuff for anybody who loves ted
Lasso and KFC debuted jelly beans that taste like fried chicken.
Speaker 3 (19:55):
Okay, yep, limited edition jelly beans.
Speaker 7 (19:58):
They're savory because they're inspiredired by KFC's menu, so they're
gonna have sweet corn, fried chicken, and gravy flavored jelly beans.
They're already available online through Amazon. They're sold out on
Frankfurt Candy dot com that's who they collabed with on this,
but a wider rollout is expected around Easter.
Speaker 3 (20:14):
I bought some off Amazon so that we can try them.
Speaker 5 (20:17):
Okay, they sound better than being bean boozled, like I
don't want to taste not.
Speaker 4 (20:21):
That sounds way better.
Speaker 3 (20:22):
So I bought them off Amazon.
Speaker 7 (20:23):
They're not going to come in for a few weeks though,
because they are apparently back ordered and everybody wants to
try them. So once they come in, we will try
them live on air.
Speaker 3 (20:32):
To see what they taste like. I'm excited, Sanchez, and
those are the three things you need to know.
Speaker 2 (20:37):
I don't want any part of that whatsoever. Zero disgusting
and I don't like taking any chances. I also don't
really eat much sugar. But thanks Ricky, Oh my god, are.
Speaker 1 (20:55):
Ricky, Zach and mannow in the morning.
Speaker 2 (20:57):
The song is fussing on Thomas. It's one of seven
to five the river. Gen Alpha slang is what we're
talking about. We're all getting older, all of us. Everybody
that can hear my voice every day.
Speaker 7 (21:09):
All millennials, different ages of millennials.
Speaker 2 (21:12):
Yeah, and this new generation Jen Alpha. They've got their
own way of speaking. And my kids are right there.
They say Sigma a lot as well, which I guess
is just like being like a confident person. You're a Sigma.
Speaker 4 (21:23):
Oh oh, okay, so you're learning from me though, you're
so sigma keV. Thank you.
Speaker 3 (21:30):
Well.
Speaker 7 (21:30):
It's not on this list that I have in front
of me, but I do have a list of different
Gen Alpha words and slang for us to kind of
know what the heck is going on, because every generation
has their own slang. We had slang, even Kevin as
a millennial and us as a millennial.
Speaker 3 (21:45):
You had different slang than we did growing up. Everybody's
got it.
Speaker 4 (21:48):
So favorite one with Yolo, Yeah, that was such a thing.
Speaker 7 (21:55):
Okay, So here are a few of them. Four plus four.
That is a phrase that they use a lot, and
it means eight, as in, like, you know the number
eight four plus floor is eight, but like you eight,
which means tach something really well, or like, your outfit
looks really cool. If you say you ate that outfit,
it means you're killing it.
Speaker 4 (22:14):
Oh ricky, that outfit is so four plus four.
Speaker 8 (22:18):
Chopped.
Speaker 3 (22:19):
Chopped is another one. This one's mean. It means ugly.
Speaker 7 (22:22):
Oh okay, So if your outfit doesn't look good, it's chopped.
Speaker 2 (22:27):
If anybody called you chopped, I disagree you were four
plus four.
Speaker 7 (22:31):
Yeah that made you sound like such a dad, but
I agree with you. Yes, Kevin, choppel Ganger is a
huge one. I keep seeing this all over the place.
So you're taking chopped, which means ugly, and then doppelganger
and putting it together. So it's someone who looks like
another person but worse.
Speaker 5 (22:48):
Really mean almost like a not as not as attractive
version of a celebrity is a choppel Gang version.
Speaker 3 (22:55):
Yeah, with our version is like we would say, like, oh,
that's a Walmart version.
Speaker 2 (23:00):
I don't like the negativity, but I really like the creativity.
Speaker 7 (23:03):
I agree, and every generation's had their mean parts. You
grow up to learn that, like you're kind of just
mean and you should stop clock. That is another one,
which means like you understand or agree. There's a lot
of really weird like HTN higher TI your normies, which
is like a fairly good looking guy.
Speaker 3 (23:23):
There's weird stuff on here, like Twin.
Speaker 7 (23:26):
I like Twin though. That's my favorite one. It means
you're bestie.
Speaker 2 (23:30):
Oh okay, I I love you.
Speaker 4 (23:32):
Guys. Heard of low kinuinely low kinuinely.
Speaker 5 (23:36):
It's like low key and genuinely so it means like
genuinely or literally get in a subtle, understated manner.
Speaker 3 (23:44):
That seems like a lot.
Speaker 5 (23:45):
It's a lot to my mind around So you would
say like that is low ginuinely insane.
Speaker 3 (23:52):
Do I sound old by saying that makes no sense
to me?
Speaker 2 (23:56):
I mean yeah, but I mean it was inevitable. We
all get to that point.
Speaker 3 (24:00):
But like some of them.
Speaker 7 (24:01):
I like, like I said, Twin is cool. I also
I say it all the time. We're so back. It's
like the opposite of it's over, like we're so bad,
so back, We're so back Like today, guys, we're so
back we're in studio cool. We're making it work. We're
doing giveaways on the River. This is today for the
rest of the week, like we're so back.
Speaker 4 (24:17):
Yeah we are four plus four and right now.
Speaker 6 (24:19):
We hate Ricky, Zach and Menno.
Speaker 4 (24:22):
In the morning on We're about to.
Speaker 3 (24:24):
Play you something really beautiful on one oh.
Speaker 7 (24:27):
Seven five of the River. It's our daily double tap today.
It's Lady Gaga singing won't you be My Neighbor? So,
if you ever watched Mister Rogers, you're gonna love this.
Speaker 5 (24:36):
Honestly, Lady Gaga never misses. It's so beautiful.
Speaker 2 (24:40):
I want to add two things. If you ever watched
mister Rogers or Daniel Tiger, which is a more recent
version of no clue what that is from the Mister
Rogers universe. I think they had the same theme talking.
And this is from a super Bowl commercial. One upcoming
super Bowl commercial is an early peak at one of those,
and I have a feeling a lot of people will
be talking about this one. It's today's daily double tap.
Speaker 1 (25:00):
It's a beautiful day in the neighborhood, beautiful day for
a neighbor.
Speaker 3 (25:07):
Would you be mine? Could you be mine?
Speaker 1 (25:13):
It's a neighborly day and this beauty wood and neighborly
day for a beauty Would you be mine?
Speaker 7 (25:22):
Why do I want to cry because it makes me
so emotional goosebumps.
Speaker 5 (25:26):
I mean, mister Rogers was number one our childhood. I
loved that so much growing up and now hearing one
of my icons, Lady Goda singing it so beautifully.
Speaker 4 (25:35):
It literally, it's just it's amazing.
Speaker 7 (25:37):
It's also like what it stands for, which is like
community and kindness.
Speaker 3 (25:42):
Loving each other. And you know, we need a lot.
Speaker 2 (25:45):
Of We've lost a bit of that. Yeah, yeah, we
need a back. That's great. You guys really don't know,
Daniel Tiger.
Speaker 3 (25:50):
No clue what you're talking about.
Speaker 2 (25:51):
I know it's me, Daniel Tiger. Will you help brush
my teeth?
Speaker 3 (25:55):
And neither of us have kids? Why would we know
what that is?
Speaker 2 (25:58):
I don't know.
Speaker 4 (25:59):
You could do this all day long and it still
would not ring a bell.
Speaker 2 (26:03):
Help me put my pajamas on?
Speaker 4 (26:05):
All right?
Speaker 3 (26:05):
I could rather not.
Speaker 2 (26:09):
We're gonna post the video. Today's daily double tab goes
up on our Instagram stories at one O seven five
Speaker 1 (26:14):
The River, Ricky, Zach and Menno in the morning on
one oh seven five, the river
